There’s an ancient saying that dates back to 1546 when John Heywood said, "There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know.” Sadly, this quote aptly describes the majority of pastors today in the United States, even many of those who preach in churches whose statements of faith affirm beliefs in the inerrancy of Scripture. With a strictly earthbound vision for the future that pushes the Lord’s return to a far distant time, these leaders tell us that the turmoil of our present day is part of a reoccurring cycle of history and that life will return to normal after the current crisis passes. However, not everyone agrees. David Horowitz, despite his atheism, wrote a book warning of the severe persecution coming to Bible-believing Christians in America (Dark Agenda). Peter Koenig, a geopolitical analyst, lecturer, and previous Senior Economist with the World Health Organization, constantly warns people of the threat posed by The Great Reset championed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and of the dangers posed by ID2020 and COVID-19 vaccines, although to my knowledge he is not a follower of Jesus. Why do Horowitz and Koenig clearly see the perils ahead for us that so many pastors refuse to acknowledge? Although these and other secular writers do not believe the Bible, they warn of a future that’s remarkably similar to what we read about in the book of Revelation and in other prophetic texts. Here are just a few bright red warning lights that should wake up all those in Christ to the approaching tribulation as well as to the nearness of the rapture that occurs before it. THE GREAT WICKEDNESS IN AMERICA This is what I wrote in a previous post, Not Now, I Have My Life to Live, regarding the fact that from a human perspective, the Lord’s judgment of America is long, long overdue. Does not the ongoing horror of abortion that has led to the merciless slaughter of countless millions of innocent lives tell us that God’s judgment must be right at the door? Not only have our elected leaders refused to outlaw this murderous and horrific practice, but they also stand by as Planned Parenthood butchers babies and sells their body parts to the highest bidder. Abortion is an abomination that will most certainly bring the Lord’s wrath upon America at some point, count on it. The Lord hears each and every muffled scream of tiny boys and girls as evil men and women poison them or rip their precious bodies apart inside their mother’s womb. He sees the anguished looks on the faces of young girls and boys caught up in the horrors of sex trafficking. Are we so naïve as to assume the Lord will not judge the U.S. and world for these abominations that so deeply grieve Him? Are we so foolish as to think that Psalm 94 refers only to the distant past without prophetic significance for the day in which we find ourselves? In 2012, Billy Graham quoted his wife Ruth as saying, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” The wickedness to which she referred has grown exponentially since she spoke those words sometime before her death in 2007. I am not a prophet, but I know God’s wrath will fall upon the U.S. in the not-too-distant future. Perhaps we already see its beginnings in the divisions and turmoil that characterize life here on America. THE RAPID MOVE TOWARD MARXISM VIA THE GREAT RESET In many of my recent articles, I describe the dangers posed by World Economic Forum (WEF) and the ominous Great Reset, which they promote. I often quote Peter Koenig who amazingly refers to the coming world government as the “beast” apart from any reference to Daniel or the book of Revelation. The WEF makes no effort to hide the communist agenda behind its push for The Great Reset, which is nothing less than a radical transformation of life on planet earth that will enslave all alive at the time. According to James Delingpole of Breitbart News, “COVID-19 has provided the perfect pretext” to usher in “a globalist takeover” of virtually every aspect of human life. “Put simply,” he continues, The Great Reset “is the blueprint for a complete transformation of the world economy. There will be no money, no private property, no democracy. Instead, every key decision — what you do for a living, how much stuff you consume, whether you can take a vacation — will [be] decided for you by a remote, unaccountable elite of ‘experts.’”[ii] Why is it that so many pastors and believers fail to see the dangers behind what they read in the news or recognize the uncanny resemblance of what they hear to what John wrote about in the book of Revelation? THE DIRE THREAT POSED BY A BIDEN PRESIDENCY The Great Reset is so much more than the utopian dream of unrealistic globalists. It’s the fervent desire of the “deep state” in America and is something that both the Democrat and Republican establishments greatly desire. President Donald Trump stands virtually alone in his opposition to the Marxist agenda of the globalist elite (AKA deep state) in the U.S. Most Republicans in the Congress and Senate have already abandoned the President and his efforts to expose the great fraud so apparent in the November 3 election. Kerry, whom Biden named as his special presidential envoy for climate, recently affirmed Biden’s allegiance to the Marxist agenda of the WEF. He assured the elites of the World Economic Forum (WEF) that a Joe Biden presidency would quickly advance the globalist “Great Reset” agenda “with greater speed and greater intensity than many might imagine.”[ii] It’s also clear that a President Biden (or Harris) will not tolerate any hint of dissent to their rabid support for abortion and the LBGTQ agenda. Their previous statements and appointments confirm this as does the advice that many in Congress have already given to them. Under a Biden/Harris administration, any church that hopes to exist in its current form in the year 2025 (the end of their term) will only do so by agreeing the with the radical agenda of the Democrats regarding transgenderism for children, homosexuality, pedophilia, and abortion up to the moment of birth. THE NUMEROUS SIGNS OF THE APPROACHING TRIBULATION Those who assign Revelation 6-18 to either a bygone era or mere symbolism refuse to see the myriad of signs pointing to the fact that these chapters will soon become a reality in our world. The evidence that we live in the last days is overwhelming, yet so many remain blind to what they see. They repeat the error of the Pharisees and Sadducees who failed to recognize the signs that their Messiah stood among them (Matt. 16:1-3). The lawlessness of our day, the widespread support of the world’s leaders of the ominous Great Reset, and the great delusion of our day all speak to the rapid approach of the seven-year tribulation. The emphasis on peace and safety as the day of God’s judgment approaches tells us that we have little time left until our departure to forever be with Jesus (1 Thess. 4:13-5:10). The signs Jesus gave us of His coming in Matthew 24:3-14 precisely describe the day in with we live. It’s as if He opened up a laptop and read news headlines from 2020 to His disciples. In verse 15, the Lord refers to the antichrist’s desecration of the temple that takes place halfway through the tribulation. The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has recreated all the furnishings for the third temple except for the Ark of the Covenant, have architectural designs for it in place, and are already training Levites to act as priests in the new temple. Based solely on the writings Peter Koenig and Klaus Schwab (founder and head of the WEF), I find that the planning of the globalists behind ID2020 and future vaccines bears a remarkable similarity to the mark of the beast as described in Revelation 13:15-18. These plans include implanting a chip containing personal data that will instantly connect to a distant database containing all his or her personal and financial information. Once these things become a reality, it will only be a small step for the antichrist to require his mark for all buying and selling worldwide. THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALL The Lord does not need to write His message of impending judgment on the wall as He did for King Belshazzar in ancient Babylon. He has clearly revealed His warnings for all to see in Scripture, yet so few recognize their relevance for today. They refuse to acknowledged what they know from God’s Word. Jeremiah wrote, “They have healed the wound of my people lightly; / saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ / when there is no peace” (6:14). If the prophet were alive today, I believe he would similarly warn us of shepherds who ignore the signs of God’s impending judgment and the Lord’s imminent return and insist that life will someday return to normal just as has always done in the past. Biblical encouragement that does not include an awareness of the end times and Jesus’ appearing may comfort believers to some extent, but it only heals the wound “lightly” of those who face economic disaster, personal afflictions, tragedies, and the many other harsh realities of life under COVID-19 imposed lockdowns, draconian restrictions, and falsified panic. The good news is that we serve an awesome and sovereign Lord who controls history and someday will reign over all the nations of the world (Psalm 46:10). He’s not surprised by mad rush of our leaders toward a one world government; He revealed long ago that this would happen in the last days just as we see taking place before our eyes. The best comfort we have in these perilous times is that Jesus is coming to take us to the place He’s preparing for us (John 14:1-3) and all the signs point to this happening in the very near future. This all sounds more apocalyptic each day. · There would be “digital passports” and “immune passports” that would reveal our compliance with the Covid vaccine. This is more Orwellian talk and leaps out of the pages of the book of Revelation. · The world would so willingly give up their rights and bow to almost every government demand as long as they felt the demands would make them safe and well. · Many corporations are starting to say, “No vaccine, no work.” · In 2020, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas came under attack! People who made holiday and family plans were scorned, mocked and scolded. Friends and neighbors turned people in if they were observed entertaining too many people! Canada fined people celebrating some holidays—thousands of dollars. · Keith Olbermann stated that Trump hotels should be turned into prisons for “Trump enablers.” · President Trump would select three “conservative” Supreme Court justices who would turn against him in the election contention. · There would be a cacophonous cry for a digital currency also called cryptocurrency. After all, it is so much safer and germ-free. Are these movers and shakers following a script in the Bible? · A great “Reset” would be announced by the World Economic Forum that would allow us to “build back better” and that stated we “would own nothing but be happy.” Did John Lennon’s song “Imagine” foretell this? No heaven and no hell and the world “would be as one.” · The swamp, nearly drained thanks to President Trump, would make a giant comeback and be filled with threatening monsters more dangerous than the pre-Trump era. · So many of these bullet points remind us that the Lord’s return is imminent, and yet most of the pulpits remain silent to this fact! How is this possible? The most significant time in history with the least amount of interest ever! That’s my short list for now. God always warns His own before He lowers the boom and judges. This list is made up of warning signs! It tells the Church to get ready and be ready. There is no time to waste. Tell everyone you know. What we are watching is not science fiction. It is fact! Awaiting His return, Jan Markell Nearing Midnight: At the Heart of End-Times Prophecy – Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ We are all too familiar with the angst and agony over the 2020 presidential election fraud, the overblown COVID-19 perpetration (in my opinion), and the satanic globalist rage that threatens to bring on life worse than that under the Nazi regime. But there is something even more profound in terms of where we stand on God’s prophetic timeline. It has been going on for years—decades, really. We see it going on at the moment, even under the auspices of the president we here hold to be a true champion of Israel, thus one of the most God-directed of all of American history’s chief executives. The actions taken by the US State Department and other agencies in this regard date back to Israel’s reestablishment as a nation in 1948 under President Harry Truman. The efforts, however, got seriously underway in later administrations, with the efforts becoming more pronounced in the most recent decades. I refer here to the incessant attempts to bring Israel into peace arrangements with its blood-vowed enemies. More specifically, the heart of end-times prophecy—as referenced in the article’s title—involves the attempts made at dividing God’s Promised Land given to His chosen people, the Jews. Efforts were made to do so during the Johnson and Nixon administrations, to be sure. Jimmy Carter’s presidency made progress in bringing together Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Al-Sadat. This was without serious attempts to add to the mix the division of the land God gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But it was with the George Herbert Walker Bush presidency that the most profound signal of the very end of the age began shaping in an easily observable fashion. James Baker and the State Department began serious efforts to force the proposal that the land be divided in order to try to bring Israel’s enemy neighbors to the so-called peace table. Bill Clinton’s administration continued the effort, offering PLO leader Yasser Arafat 98 percent of all the PLO wanted, but to no avail, as Arafat walked out on the talks, knowing he would have nothing to complain about if he accepted the sell-out terms. Then came the truly serious effort to produce the land-for-peace deal. The Roadmap to Peace proposals were carried out by the George W. Bush administration. That effort is still going today, having bridged the Barack Obama administration’s doing as much damage to Israel as possible, while maintaining a solemn face of pseudo-friendship with the Jewish state. President Trump assigned his Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the job of putting together and carrying out the “Deal of the Century.” While Mr. Trump has been an apparent friend to Israel like no other president, nonetheless his administration retained some of the Roadmap to Peace land-division ideas within the “Deal of the Century” blueprint. The Lord has said plainly that He will not abide the division of the Promised Land. For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:1–2) God says this is in a time He has chosen to deal with all who have been implicit in dealing treacherously with His chosen people. It is the end times—the very end of the age—of which He forewarns. And it’s not only those outside of Israel who are bringing about the fulfillment of this prophecy. We see growing within Israel’s governing forces a number of people who want to embrace this deadly course with regard to land for peace. Benny Gantz believes Jerusalem is “spacious” enough for a Palestinian capital whilst still remaining united, according to an interview in a Saudi newspaper. Gantz who serves as defense minister and alternate prime minister told the Arabic language newspaper Asharq al-Awsat that Jerusalem is a “spacious city that is full of sites which are sacred for all.” They want and need an entity in which they will live independently. A state or a kingdom, they can call it whatever they like,” Gantz said. “It is in their right to have independence and a capital which will be a solution to all deadlocked issues.” “I want Palestinians to be part of the peace process. The push for normalization within the Arab world is a great and tangible opportunity,” he said… While Israel views Jerusalem as its official and undivided capital, while the Palestinians want its eastern part as their own capital under a two-state solution. A peace plan unveiled by U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this year placed the Palestinian capital in Abu Dis, a small town near Jerusalem. (Gantz: There will be a place for Palestinian capital in united Jerusalem, Ynetnews, December 19, 2020) As is often pointed out, despite all the other end-of-the-age signals that are flashing during the course of hourly news cycles, the nation Israel is the prime indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. And it is the dividing of the land God promised to descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that is at the heart of Bible prophecy on the cusp of being fulfilled—with Armageddon looming. Men and women are equal in value but different in function, and although women are fully capable of filling in when necessary, as Deborah did, civilization works best when God's designed order is acknowledged and followed. It is no accident that today's "radical feminism" was invented by early Soviet Marxists to undermine Christianity in Russia and then transported here in the 1920s. I've written extensively on this topic in recent years. In God's order, male/female roles are not adversarial but complementary – always intended to reflect the essential truths embodied in the husband/wife one-flesh paradigm He established as the foundation of civilization. Never Master and Servant, or Parent and Child, but always King and Queen, President and Vice President, always partners in a common venture where men are given the final say in matters of disagreement, bound by the duty to act selflessly in the exercise of that authority. That is a clear biblical mandate for the family, the church and even the "secular" realm (to the extent Christians have stewardship of it), regardless of how feminist-era believers feel about it. However, one function in the church that is fully interchangeable is prophecy, a truth showcased in Acts 2: "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place [when] a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven … and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. … Then Peter stood up with the Eleven [and said] … this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: … 'In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people, Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on My menservants and maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.'" (Acts 2:1-21) All of the above is a preface to introducing a particular prophecy by the singer Misty Edwards. I know nothing about her except for the song she wrote, "People Get Ready, Jesus is Coming," and the testimony she gave about it. Frankly, the music is just music, but from the instant I heard the lyrics "he's not a baby in a manger anymore, He's not a broken man on a cross," I knew that message was from the Lord to the church. It was a Holy Spirit wake-up call in which I suddenly realized that my perspective of Jesus, shaped by the rear-view mirror of history (the baby in the manger and the humble shepherd who walked the earth), was blinding me to the looming reality of His soon return as the Conquering King who comes "to judge and make war" (Revelation 19:11-21). For me, Misty's vision was like a present-day equivalent to John the Baptist heralding Jesus' earthly ministry by quoting Isaiah ("make straight the way of the Lord") under the mantle of Elijah, as prophesied in Malachi 4:1-5. "'For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble; the day is coming when I will set them ablaze,' says the LORD of Hosts. 'Not a root or branch will be left to them. But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall. Then you will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I am preparing,' says the LORD of Hosts. …" This is the same "great and glorious Day of the Lord" referenced by Peter in Acts 2:20, quoting Joel. The Jesus of the Second Advent is nothing like the Jesus of the First! He is not meek and passive. He is not gentle and long-suffering. He is not in His role as the Lamb of God. He is the Lion of Judah! "He has eyes like blazing fire, and many royal crowns on His head. … He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and … The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses. And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty." (Revelation 19:12-15) The word Christian means "Christ-like." We've always assumed that meant being suffering servants and passivists. But as the Second Advent nears, many Scriptures related to our personal conduct and to our teaching about Christ to the world should be reconsidered in light of Christ the Lord of Hosts. These include Jesus' command to "Occupy until I come," and Paul's advice in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 regarding "pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God … being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is complete." And, of course, Paul's assurance in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for instruction," which brings all of the Old Testament guidance on interactions with the world within the scope of Christianity. The Jesus we now await will come as a very forceful and masculine warrior who will personally slaughter millions upon millions of wicked men who refused to repent despite many warnings and opportunities. This shocking and sobering truth is so foreign to our corrupted sense of "Christ-likeness" that many will turn away and embrace Humanism – the Satanic religion of Marxism with all of its pseudo-moral piety – rather than adjust their own theology to accept the true Christ of the Bible. Perhaps this is why God in his wisdom gave ruling authority to men and not women – because he wanted us to avoid the very emasculation of His Son that is represented in the "nicer-than-Jesus" Jesus of feminist-era Christians, who, with breathtaking arrogance, presume to judge Almighty God (and prior generations of believers who followed His patriarchal system) as morally inferior to themselves. And why, in His wisdom, he brought this reminder about the true Jesus through the prophetic vision of a godly woman. Watch: https://youtu.be/REc6uRQRnV0 Daily Jot: Smoke-filled backroom – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com When we speak of politics being played in an ill-gotten manner, we think of big party bosses with cigars dangling out of their mouths in a smoke-filled backroom making deals that hurt some and help others. This is not, however, the modern version of smoke-filled backroom politics. Today, it’s much more sophisticated—voter machines that apparently weigh votes toward a candidate; dead people and illegals not only voting, but voting en masse through ballots that were sent without request and received without authentication, and courts with judges who rule based on party affiliation rather than the rule of law. This is where America stands today. It is where Republicans were taken to school by Democrats. It doesn’t make it right. And it may be years from being exposed. But the bottom line here is that this presidential election and the upcoming Georgia senate election are examples of how the Democratic Party used and is using its political boss prowess to take an election. The game plan was simple. Register as many people as possible and make sure their ballots are sent in and judges will take care of the rest. In short, the Republicans knew it was coming. They complained about it early on. But they were inept at doing anything about it. They didn’t adjust. They didn’t counter. They, quite frankly, got out-smoked in the smoke-filled back room. “Unfair,” we shout. “Illegal,” we exclaim. Yes, on both accounts. But the burden of proof is on the Republicans who were flat-footed and erroneously relied on the rule of law when it came to voter fraud and well-placed judges, who sided with their democrat party and bent the law to justify the fraud. In politics it makes little difference whether it is legal or ethical, it’s whether you can get away with it. And that’s what has happened. We know the ultimate outcome is that unless these terrible shenanigans are corrected, Americans can rest assured that they will never elect another president or representative again. It will be determined by the backroom oligarchy, the puppeteers of special interest and globalism. The party affiliation might change—Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, but the agenda will, with little differences, remain the same. It isn’t right or just, but it is what is happening. We are seeing a real time example of Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The very next verse instructs us how to overcome this evil day by putting on the full armor of God and “having done all, to stand.” The ray of hope is that we as a nation are resilient. We have ways of correcting these problems. They take time. Laws will change. The political pendulum will swing. But we need to act with the full armor of God for all this to happen—belt of truth; breastplate of righteousness; shoes of the gospel of peace; the shield of faith; the helmet of salvation; and the sword of the Spirit. This is far stronger than a smoke-filled back room. Let us unite for right and stand. That essentially was the choice that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced. King Nebuchadnezzar had a 90-foot golden image of himself erected in Babylon and then commanded everyone in the kingdom to bow down to it. If they didn’t, they would burn. But sticking out like three sore thumbs were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who stayed on their feet. They knew from the first two of the Ten Commandments that God told them specifically not to bow before another god. When King Nebuchadnezzar heard about what they did, he gave them one more chance. But they still refused. They were from Nebuchadnezzar’s court, so this was an embarrassment to him personally. He was so angry that he gave the order for the furnace to be heated seven times hotter. Then his soldiers tied them up and threw them in. However, Nebuchadnezzar couldn’t believe his eyes when he looked in and saw four—not three—figures walking around in the fire. I believe this was an Old Testament appearance of Christ walking with them. Nebuchadnezzar called them out of the furnace and said, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him” (verse 28 NLT). Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had the resolve to make their stand because of the decisions, commitments, and resolutions they made years earlier. Do you have character?
