And, that excitement will never abate in the years ahead, for the Good News and hope-filled message about our Savior's return is what energizes our passion for evangelizing. We want you to be invigorated by that same passion as well! And so, I called my fellow Bible prophecy teacher, Todd Hampson of the Prophecy Pros podcast, and we put a list together to share some of the reasons why we believe Bible prophecy exists. 1. Shows that God Speaks the Truth Bible prophecy has been given to us to show that God is God. He is the Chief! He is the One in charge. He exists outside of time. He knows everything. And so, whatever God says, you can take it as the truth. That's why the first reason that Bible prophecy has been given to us is so we can live by that truth. 2. Proves the Bible Is God's Word The second reason why God has given us Bible prophecy is to prove that the Bible is God's word. The fact is that the Bible is the only book ever written that contains genuine, fulfilled prophecies. These prophecies were fulfilled to... the..."T"! Fulfilled Bible prophecy proves the Bible is truly God's Word and so we can place our faith and trust in it and its Author. 3. Shows God Is in Control A third reason is to show us that God is in complete control. He is sovereign. That may sound like a big theological word, but sovereign means that God is ultimately in control of every single detail. Bible prophecy puts that fact on display like nothing else. 4. Demonstrates God's Love The fourth reason for God giving us Bible prophecy is to demonstrate that God loves us and that He has a plan for our lives. We're not just floating around on a big spinning orb out in outer space with no purpose and no meaning, as Atheists claim. God has crafted a purpose for every person He has ever made because He loves His children. God has also planned a destination for the faithful. He wants us to live with Him in Heaven and on the New Earth forever. And so, He gives us prophecy to show how world history will end with the faithful living forever with our loving Heavenly Father in the Eternal State. 5. Describes God's Plan The fifth reason deals with how skeptics of Bible prophecy misconstrue its prophecies as being too general, or too vague, or too big. But, if you take a closer look, God provides many specific details about His plan for the ages. This plan shows how God is working to bring humanity back into a right relationship with Him so that one day we shall dwell in a blessed time of peace, righteousness, and fellowship with our Creator. Bible prophecy can be very specific and very purposeful, for God explains how His plan will unfold through His prophetic Word. 6. Demonstrates God's Might The sixth reason revolves around God's characteristic of being mighty. The fact that God the Father gave up His one and only Son to die for the penalty of our sins so that those who place their faith in Jesus may be redeemed is truly praiseworthy. The promise that Jesus Christ is going to return one day in might and power to victoriously defeat Satan and his minions and set up His kingdom should make you stand up and shout, "Hallelujah!" Almighty God alone is worthy of our praise and worship, and Bible prophecy shows us why. 7. Proves God Is Worthy The seventh reason why God gave us Bible prophecy is to demonstrate how big God is and how teeny-tiny we are in comparison. Nobody is like God. Therefore, He alone is worthy of us living our lives trying to please Him through obedience and acts of love. Even though God is far greater than we are, He still has a use for us, and that is to serve and fellowship with Him. Why should we? Because He alone is worthy of our obedience and praise. Bible prophecy points us to that fact. 8. Promises Evil Will Be Punished The eighth excellent point involves how on this earth, evil often gets away with its crimes. Bad people commit bad things, often without ever facing punishment. And yet, Bible prophecy promises that swift justice is coming. The evil in this world does have an end to it. While we patiently wait for that glorious day, God is mercifully providing humanity this short reprieve to 1) return to Him in repentance, and 2) grab hold of His gracious offer of having a right relationship with Him. Bible prophecy maps out the timeline for that long-desired day of justice. 9. Prepares Us to Get Right with Him The ninth reason (and it's a beautiful reason and one that we just love like crazy) concerns how Bible prophecy shows God's grace. Our Creator lets us know what is going to happen ahead of time so that we can get right with Him. If God wanted to, He could just drop the hammer on everybody because we are sinners, and He is not. We deserve to be sentenced to Hell for our rebellion against our Creator and for breaking His moral law. But, by God's grace and through His love, our Heavenly Father lets us know ahead of time what He is planning on doing. We know exactly what judgments are coming, as well as exactly what blessings are coming. He grants us the time to prepare and get right with Him. 10. Gives Us Hope The tenth and final reason in this list (though there are so many more reasons why God has given us Bible prophecy) would be that it is meant to give Christians hope. The Lord wants us to understand how the future will play out. Sure, there are valleys in life we must traverse, and terrifying times are coming like the Tribulation which is hard to digest, but prophecy is meant to give us hope that this evil age will end. Jesus will return as promised to rapture up His Church before the Tribulation begins, then He will defeat evil, and finally He will institute His thousand-year kingdom of peace and righteousness and justice. We gain hope knowing that the Christian's final destination is to dwell in peace with our Creator forever in the Eternal State. So, Bible prophecy is meant to give hope to the believer in that we have a great future ahead of us. But, Bible prophecy is also meant to serve as a warning to the unbeliever about the eternal destiny they are facing in the Lake of Fire. And so, the Bible calls us all to repent and accept Jesus Christ and His loving sacrifice so that we may be reconciled with God and share in that eternal hope. You probably agree that people sure need hope right now more than ever. So much craziness is going on in the world. People need to stop putting their hope in the things of this earth, whether they be political or monetary or whatever, that have provided a false and fleeting sense of comfort and stability. As we quickly approach the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, there is no other time in history more urgent in calling people to put their faith and hope in God alone. God is perfect. His promises are true. Bible prophecy assures us that God knows what He is doing with our lives and in this soon-passing world. We can have a sure hope in that fact. If you do not know Jesus Christ, then today is the day to accept Him as your Savior and make Him Lord of your life and so claim that blessed hope. If you already know Jesus as your Savior, then continue to grow in your relationship with Him, exhibiting holy living and practicing evangelism. Start by opening your Bible. And, as we hope you have just learned, don't skip over the prophetic parts. On Tuesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics told us that the consumer price index has risen 5.4 percent over the past 12 months, and such a high number shocked a lot of people. But in order to make a fair comparison to the past, we have to account for the fact that the way inflation is calculated has been changed literally dozens of times over the past several decades. According to John Williams of shadowstats.com, if inflation was still calculated the way that it was back in 1990, the official rate of inflation over the past 12 months would be about 9 percent. And if inflation was still calculated the way that it was back in 1980, the official rate of inflation over the past 12 months would be well into double-digits. Everyone that has been warning that we could soon see inflation rise to levels that we haven’t witnessed since the the Jimmy Carter years can stop, because we are already there. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is committing fraud, because the numbers that they give us are almost meaningless. For example, U.S. home prices have risen 20 percent over the past year, but the “shelter component of inflation” makes up only a tiny fraction of the overall consumer price index… We’ll get the latest read on inflation Tuesday, when the Bureau of Labor Statistics puts out its consumer price index for the month of June. As you may recall, the May report showed the biggest annual increase in consumer prices, 5%, in 13 years. But if you’re looking for the recent jump in home prices to show up in that number, you’re likely to be disappointed. The shelter component of inflation, as measured by the CPI, has stayed pretty steady, from around 2% to 3.5%, for the past decade. And some economists have a problem with that. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if your mortgage payment accounted for only 3.5 percent of your overall budget each month? Needless to say, such a figure is completely and totally unrealistic. For most of us, housing is the single biggest expense that we face on a regular basis. And as I have documented in many previous articles, housing costs have been soaring into the stratosphere in recent months. Car prices are also rising at an extremely alarming pace. According to CNN, the average price of a new car has shot up 12 percent over the past year… In May, the average new car price hit a record $38,255, according to JD Power, up 12% from the same period a year ago. About two-thirds of car buyers paid within 5% of the sticker price in May, with some paying even more. Instead of buying a new vehicle, you could purchase a used one instead, but used car prices increased 10.5 percent in just the last month… Last month alone, average used car prices soared 10.5 percent – the largest such monthly increase since record-keeping began in January 1953. That spike accounted for about one-third of the monthly increase for the third straight month. Renting vehicles has gotten a lot more expensive as well. In fact, average rental rates are up a whopping 86 percent since this point in 2020… Daily car rental rates have increased 86% compared to this time last year and 140% more than 2019, according to Julie Hall, a spokesperson for AAA. The “5.4 percent inflation” fairly tale that the Labor Department is trying to sell us is absolutely laughable. And as long as they keep putting out such doctored numbers, they are going to have zero credibility. Everyone can see that prices are skyrocketing all around us. In such an environment, a restaurant in New York can charge 200 dollars for French fries and some people will actually pay that price… Serendipity3, the iconic Upper East Side restaurant, set a Guinness World Records title for making the “Most Expensive French Fries” — just in time to celebrate National French Fry Day Tuesday! Serendipity3’s Creative Director and Chef Joe Calderone and Corporate Executive Chef Frederick Schoen-Kiewert are the masterminds behind the “Creme de la Creme Pommes Frites,” which cost a whopping $200. Our leaders thought that they could pump trillions upon trillions of fresh dollars into the system without any serious consequences. Sadly, they were dead wrong. Inflation is wildly out of control, and one economist just told Breitbart News that the U.S. is starting “to look a little bit like a Latin American country”… Desmond Lachman, an economist and senior fellow with the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), told Breitbart News on Sunday that the U.S. is beginning to resemble a Latin American country given its inflation, government spending, and printing of money. “[The U.S. is] in [a]very bad position from a long-term point of view. I don’t see how this can end well when we’re running — now — budget deficits something like 15 percent of GDP,” Lachman said on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday with host Joel Pollak. “This is beginning to look a little bit like a Latin American country.” It is actually much worse than that. The truth is that we are in the terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble in the history of the world, and at such a critical moment U.S. officials have decided to systematically destroy the value of the reserve currency of the planet. Prior to the pandemic, the U.S. government was stealing more than a hundred million dollars an hour from future generations of Americans, but now our politicians have upped that rate to more than 300 million dollars an hour. And when the next major crisis comes along, they will pass even more “emergency packages”, because spending money is the only solution they have. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve continues to pump giant mountains of money into the financial system. Since September 2019, the size of the Fed balance sheet has more than doubled, and that should be considered a crime against humanity. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans don’t even know what the Federal Reserve is, and only a small fraction of the population actually understands what they are currently doing to our financial system. Facing no significant resistance, our politicians will continue to get us into staggering amounts of debt, and the Fed will continue to transform the U.S. dollar into toilet paper. Sadly, what they are doing is setting the stage for the collapse of the late, great U.S. economy, and the economic pain that is ahead will affect every single man, woman and child on the entire planet. By now, the global warming prophets forewarned three or more decades ago, parts of major coastal areas such as New York City would be many feet under ocean water because of melting icebergs, etc. Instead, temperatures have been in perceptible decline, and these same prophets are calling the danger we face by this non-global warming trend “climate change.” They are predicting that the changes taking place are, of course, due to man’s—particularly those of us in America—having callous disregard for our carbon emissions—even though there are nations such as China, India, and others, not America, whose environments suffer the billowing clouds of sulfur dioxide and other hideous-sounding clouds of suffocation. The climate-change elitists—the globalists who want more than anything to control everyone and everything on planet earth, know they can’t influence the Chinese dictators in the slightest. These look to the wooly-minded progressives of the Western nations. These ideological lemmings are easily manipulable. They fall for anything and everything that makes them feel as if they are their own gods and are themselves in control. They want no other deity than themselves to direct them. They want to do what is right in their own eyes, as God’s Word describes their sin-darkened spiritual condition. Therefore, Satan’s human minions, backed by the supernatural minions of Ephesians 6:12, continue to mount an all-out assault on America. They tie their militant blueprint all together with the Marxist/socialist opiate of wealth redistribution, guilt-ridden need for racial repentance, and movement away from biblical truth through speciously recreating what constitutes human gender/sexuality and the concept of scientific origins regarding this big, blue marble. And make no mistake, climate change is the religion that will be the fanatic system of control that emerges in some final form to meld with the marks-and-numbers system of Revelation 13:16–18. We are seeing that hellish system develop at a rapid rate. It can’t be perceived so much by looking at the populations of earth calling for it at this point. But the elite are all on board, with their billions and even trillions of dollars, to control the way they want things to go. And at the center of that effort to control is the current (I believe demonically contrived) so-called pandemic. Demand to comply with vaccinations in order to ever again have a semblance of freedoms and normal life activity is being used in the most brilliantly evil way to control the masses. It is directed masterfully by the master of deceit, Lucifer the fallen one. It is the developing religion of the Tribulation era. At the heart of this anti-God worship system is man’s making God’s creation the object of desire, rather than the Creator Himself. Paul the apostle, through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, described this false religion, which is as old as the serpent himself. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:20–25) Making the earth the object of mankind’s desire—to “save” the planet and thus “save” ourselves—is as wicked as was the worship system of the ancient past described by Paul. It is replacing God in the equation of the ruling authority over the creation, making the creation itself the object of worship. God is neither needed nor wanted in this totally evil religion. Mother Earth takes God’s place, and now even the Catholic Pope is part of the wickedness, as he has signed on to Agenda 31 and the climate-change mantra. All one needs do to see the state of reprobate thinking of those who wish to control us is to consider the words of the current occupant of the White House and others of that administration. In talking about the tragic collapse of the high-rise condominium in Florida, Mr. Biden conjectured whether it was caused by climate change. Some of his administration were even more direct in conflating the tragedy with the climate-change crisis, as they see it. As a matter of fact, the administration officials have declared climate change to be the world’s greatest crisis. Some among them have labeled climate change deniers as eco-terrorists who should be executed. Only man can stop the climate-change disasters to come—if indeed there is time to do so, according to these progressive thinkers. The earth is fragile and on the verge of being completely destroyed because of man’s—especially America’s—evil green gas discharge and other ecological misdeeds. I challenge them to read Job chapter 38 through the end of that book. The God of Heaven –who created all that is—had some pretty interesting questions for Job, and for all of mankind. Here is what He told the prophet Jeremiah to say, in context of His promises to Israel. It is an uncompromising indication of just who He thinks is in control of this earth. Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 31:35–37) Wars and Rumors of Wars: Xi Jinping Is Mobilizing China for War, Possibly with Nukes - by Gordon G. Beijing looks as if it is preparing for a full-scale invasion of Indian territory. This deployment occurred while Chinese ruler Xi Jinping, in the words of the Communist Party's China Daily, made a "pro-peace, pro-development, and pro-cooperation speech" to celebrate the centennial of the Party's founding. "The Chinese people have never bullied, oppressed, or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will," Xi said on July 1. In May of last year, the People's Liberation Army moved troops south of the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh, in other words, into Indian-controlled territory. A month later, on the night of June 15, Chinese soldiers launched a surprise attack, killing 20 Indian troops. India responded by reinforcing its forces and launching a counterattack in August. China then added to its troop count, increasing the number of soldiers from 15,000 a year ago to 50,000 at this moment. Beijing has also brought advanced weapons to the area and began building bases. Ladakh is not the only Himalayan hotspot. There is a Chinese encroachment in India's Sikkim as well as incursions in neighboring Bhutan and Nepal. Beijing's campaign against India has been multifaceted. "Since June of last year, there was a China-attributed attack on the Mumbai electric grid, Chinese-linked Maoist terrorists killed another 20 Indian security forces, and we witnessed a destructive attack on an iPhone parts-manufacturing plant that looks like part of a Beijing political warfare operation to discourage the shifting of supply chains to India," Cleo Paskal of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies told Gatestone. As a result, many in India now see China in the worst possible light. As Paskal explains, "The breadth and depth of the Communist Party's aggressive unrestricted warfare against India leads one to think there are no barriers to Beijing's malign behavior." The Indian people are right to be concerned. China has changed the definition of "warfare," and one of its instruments is disease. If SARS-CoV-2, the pathogen causing COVID-19, did not start out as a biological weapon, Chinese Communist Party leaders turned it into one, by lying about contagiousness and pressuring other countries to take disease-ridden arrivals from China. "It's no wonder many Indians think their second wave of coronavirus was a deliberate release by China to weaken them further," Paskal notes. Beijing looks as though it is even thinking of using nuclear weapons to fight the next war. The Washington Post reported China appears to be building, in an area covering more than 700 square miles in the Gansu desert, 119 missile silos for the ten-warhead DF-41 intercontinental ballistic missile. When added to 26 more silos the Chinese military is building elsewhere, China could soon be housing from these fixed locations about as much firepower as the existing U.S. nuclear arsenal. When China's missiles carried on mobile launchers and submarines are added, China's warheads could end up exceeding America's. Because Beijing already has a sufficient number of nukes to deter others — China has had for a long time sufficient weapons for a so-called "minimal deterrent"— it looks as if Chinese military planners are thinking of using nuclear weapons in an offensive capacity. China's flag officers and political leaders have in public threatened to use their arsenal in this way. In any event, Xi Jinping in his bellicose July 1 speech promised to "crack heads and spill blood" of those standing in the way of what are, in essence, his plans to take territory under the control of others. More significantly, he threatened to take down the existing Westphalian international system of sovereign states, established in 1648. "The Communist Party of China and the Chinese people, with their bravery and tenacity, solemnly proclaim to the world that the Chinese people are not only good at taking down the old world, but also good at building a new one," Xi said. A new world? Throughout this century, Xi has made indirect references to tianxia, or "all under Heaven." For two millennia, Chinese emperors believed they both had the Mandate of Heaven to rule tianxia and the obligation to do so. Lately, Xi's references in public pronouncements have become unmistakable, and his subordinates have been clear that Xi believes that everyone outside China owes him obedience. Xi, while spouting tianxia-like language and bellicose words, has been getting the Chinese people ready for war. On July 1, he talked about foreigners meeting a "wall of steel built with the flesh and blood of 1.4 billion Chinese people." Moreover, he is making preparations to use his shiny new military. Amendments to China's National Defense Law, effective the first of this year, transfer powers from civilian to military officials. The amendments reduce the role of the central government's State Council and transfer powers to the Communist Party's Central Military Commission. Specifically, the State Council will no longer supervise the mobilization of the People's Liberation Army. At most, the central government will merely implement Party directives. It is true that the law could be mere posturing — the Communist Party has always been in control — but the signaling is ominous nonetheless. The new law, after all, contemplates the mass mobilization of society for war. The changes signal the growing clout of the People's Army inside the Party and highlight the militarization of the country's external relations. China is fast becoming a military state. Xi Jinping on July 1 told the world what he is going to do. We are, in all probability, in the last moments of peace. The government is so desperate to get you to take the COVID vaccine that your faith, your sanity, your love for family and fellow mankind, even your patriotism comes into question. Yet a close look at the actual statistics in the past two weeks indicate that there are more people in the US now dying from the vaccination than from COVID. The White House says it will not mandate the vaccine, but it supports communities and businesses that do mandate it. Ephesians 5:6 says, “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things come the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” This is good advice with all that’s going on. In his July 5 Independence Day speech, which maybe the President is confused about Independence Day being July 4th, Joe Biden said, “Don’t get me wrong, COVID-19 is–has not been vanquished. We all know powerful variants have emerged, like the Delta variant, but the best defense against these variants is to get vaccinated. My fellow Americans, it’s the most patriotic thing you can do. So, please, if you haven’t gotten vaccinated, do it — do it now for yourself, for your loved ones, for your community, and for your country.” A day later, Biden said, “Study after study after study has shown that, since early May, virtually every COVID-19 hospitalization and death in the United States has been among the unvaccinated.” Hold your horses, Joe. The most patriotic thing you can do is get vaccinated and most every COVID death is among the unvaccinated? Better get your mind right, Joe. Vaccinations are pretty far down on the patriotic list—things like national defense. And hey, hadn’t you better check the facts on those death rates? Your own CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System says there were 438,440 adverse COVID vaccine Reports Through July 7, 2021. In addition, there have been 9,195 reported deaths associated with the vaccine to date in 2021—jumping over 2,000 from the previous week. According to The Gateway Pundit, there were 1,505 reported deaths from COVID 19 last week. These statistics indicate that there were more reported US deaths associated with the vaccine in the past week than with the actual COVID 19 virus. But the facts won’t stop Joe from jumping into your personal business. In the same July 6 remarks, Biden said, “Now we need to go to community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood, and oftentimes, door to door–literally knocking on doors–to get help to the remaining people [not] protected from the virus.” When asked about this, Joe’s Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the government will not keep a list of who is vaccinated. But Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra told CNN’s “New Day” that it’s the government’s business to know. He said, “The federal government has spent trillions of dollars to try to keep Americans alive during this pandemic. So it is absolutely the government’s business.” Door to door. This is sounding a lot like communist China’s social credit system for good citizens. Say it with me…Stupidocrisy. For instance, some people know the names of every character in the Star Wars films along with all the plot twists. Others seem to know the scores of every professional baseball game that has been played in the last four decades. As for me, I have in my memory banks the lyrics to songs I’ve heard years ago, including the theme song to The Flintstones. I don’t know when I consciously learned them, but I know them. We have all kinds of data floating around in our minds, but do we know the Word of God? Do we know what verses deal with specific subjects and what the Bible says about certain topics? In our own strength, we don’t have the power to resist temptation. That’s why we need to take time to memorize the Word of God. When Jesus had been fasting for 40 days and nights in the wilderness, the devil came to Him and said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread” (Matthew 4:3 NKJV). Yes, Jesus had the power to do that. No doubt He was hungry—hungry to the point of starvation, even. But with His response, Jesus gave us an example to follow. He showed us how to deal with temptation. And He stood on ground that we, too, can stand on.
