A More Careful Look at The Rapture, Part 2 Of 4 - By Ron Ferguson - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/09/05/a-more-careful-look-at-the-rapture-part-2-of-4-by-ron-ferguson/
[D1]. A CLOSER LOOK AT REVELATION 4:1 AND 1 THESSALONIANS 1:10 A quick look at Revelation 4 v 1 – “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.'” “After these things” is after the prophetic history of Christendom in chapters 2 and 3 (an outline of 7 periods of Church history), which ends with the Rapture and precedes “what must take place after these things.” 4 verse 1 is the fulcrum that divides the past with the present from the future. It is the Rapture. Remember the verse from chapter 1:19, “Write therefore the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall take place after these things.” Chapter 4 v 1 begins the section, “the things which shall take place after these things.” In 1Thess 1:10, “and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” In the early days of the Church, the Rapture was always before the believers’ eyes, but in the second century, as the persecution rolled on, the Church was under distress for 10 periods of its history, and the saints struggled with living and death (martyrdom). They began to forget about waiting for the Son from heaven. When the persecution ended around AD 312, heresies overtook the churches even more than previously, and the church held its great Councils. From these, the creeds developed to state the biblical/orthodox position against heresy, especially at that time, Arianism (that stated Jesus was a created person, not divine God – much like the J.W.s). The creed that came out to combat Arianism was The Nicene Creed, first adopted in A.D. 325 at the Council of Nicaea. At the end, it states, “He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end” (no mention of a separate Rapture or glorious hope). We see by 325 A.D. that the understanding of the Rapture had faded; the church was now settling comfortably in the world, weakened by paganism as its practices entered into its ranks, and it became more ecclesiastical and more and more away from the honest simplicity of the early church. Once a church becomes worldly and pagan, it thinks only of its “good life” and forgets all about the glorious hope and imminence of the Lord’s return for the saints. In time, the Apostles’ Creed developed over the next 150 years. That creed ends with “…the Father almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.” Very sadly, the Church had entered the days of “the forgotten Rapture” and just believed in one coming to consummate all things. The Rapture, and the whole of Revelation, and big pieces of the Major and Minor Prophets were rolled into just a few words – “He shall come to judge the living and the dead.” How sad was that, for the Rapture is not only our hope but the motivation we have for a life lived correctly in expectation of the Lord’s coming. For about 15 to 18 centuries, the Rapture remained forgotten, dead and buried! Except for the very odd isolated Christian here and there who understood the scriptures, if they could ever hear them; for the church of Rome forbade ordinary people from having any scripture. This verse in 1Thess 1:10 – “and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come,” very explicitly places the time of the Rapture. We know from careful study of Thessalonians that this wrath to come is connected with the coming world leader/Antichrist and the Day of the LORD. The Deliverer who comes is the Lord Jesus Christ who delivers us from that. That delivery is the Rapture. [D2]. A SMALL LOOK AT GALATIANS AND TITUS There are two verses by Paul that focus very much on the Rapture, and these are they: Galatians 5:5, “We, by faith, through the Spirit, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.” Titus 2:13, “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus.” The hope of our righteousness is that time when the completion of personal righteousness comes equipped with the new bodies, and that happens at the Rapture. Christ our righteousness will come, and our righteousness is complete in Him. In Titus, the “blessed hope,” “glorious hope” (KJV) is what we must look out for. It is the coming of the Lord for His redeemed Church. It is our hope. The Rapture is the great hope of new creation in Jesus Christ. Hope does not make us ashamed, and the hope of His coming for us ought to grow stronger as we advance in years. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. When there is little hope, the people despair. That is the sad condition of people in China, suppressed and oppressed by a satanic regime. As a word of warning, I think it is what our western world is moving towards, in particular, the USA and Australia, as I know those nations best. When hope is abandoned, drudgery and misery and uncertainty take over. A famous saying has come down from the great poem by Dante, “The Divine Comedy,” in the Inferno section where there is an inscription over the gates of hell, “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate,” meaning “Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here.” Paul said to the Corinthians if we had hope only in this life in Christ with no resurrection, we would be the most miserable of all people. It is not like that, however, because we have hope through the resurrected Lord; that hope is sure and certain. So now, we wait for His coming to raise us up to Him, whether we be asleep in death or still living on earth when He comes again. [D3]. A DEEPER LOOK AT 2 THESSALONIANS 2, A FEW VERSES One of the more revealing teachings about the Rapture is found in 2Thess 2. Paul had spent three weeks at Thessalonica (Acts 17:1-2), and we know from the content of this second chapter that in those three weeks, Paul had taught these converted idolaters all about the Christian life and salvation. But more than that, He instructed them about eschatology, the very thing many churches today dismiss as irrelevant or too controversial. Speaking of these matters, he wrote – 2Thess 2:5, “Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?” What were these things he was telling them about? The primary importance was that the Rapture would occur because it was Jesus who would deliver them from the wrath that was to come – 1Thess 1:10, “and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” However, the Thessalonian Christians were being persecuted, and they thought the wrath was upon them from God and that they were in the Tribulation, as part of the Day of the Lord. Fearfully, they reasoned they had missed out on the Rapture because Paul had told them the Christians would not be in the Tribulation because “God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1Thess 5:9). Then he wrote this to them – 2Thess 2:1-4, “Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.” We will look at 2:3. This is a Rapture verse. In nearly every translation, one word in the verse is translated as “apostasy,” but I suggest it is a wrong translation. Here is a little study on that: [E]. A FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3 KJV – “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” NASB – “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.” Before the Day of the LORD (Jehovah) comes, 2 Thess 2:3 declares that there must first be a “falling away” (KJV) or “apostasy” (NASB). The words used for this expression are “ἡ ἀποστασία (apostasia),” generally translated “apostasy” or “falling away” by most versions. It is a pity the KJV did not translate as “departure,” for then we would not have this trouble in explanation. The expression “the apostasy” normally means “defection, revolt or rebellion.” BUT it can also be translated by “disappearance” or “departure,” and it has been suggested by the eminent Greek scholar Kenneth Wuest in Prophetic Light in the Present Darkness and by E. Schuyler English in Rethinking the Rapture that the reference is not to an apostasy from the faith (didn’t that occur some 1,800 years ago in the great heresies, and later in the Dark and Middle Ages under the R.C. church?), but to the translation (departure) of the Church from the world. Kenneth Wuest points out that the word “apostasia” is derived from the root verb “afistami,” which means to remove, withdraw, depart, go away, etc. Of its 15 occurrences in the New Testament, it is 11 times translated “depart” (as in leaving). Wuest accordingly argues that the substantive must mean “departure.” And since the Greek text has the definite article [ἡ = The], then a particular departure is in view [THE departure]. The argument for that is comprehensive, and that departure is the removal of the Church. The Church is translated to heaven. So, the word should not be translated as “apostasy” but DEPARTURE (of the Church). That makes the passage very clear. These are the 15 references to the use of the Greek word “apostasia”: Luke 8:13; 13:27; 2:37; 4:13. Acts 12:10; 15:38; 19:9; 22:29. 2Cor 12:8; 1Tim 6:5; 4:1; 2Tim 2:19; Heb 3:12. Of course, 2Thess 2:3 and one other I don’t have right now. Now here is further support for that and part of what I wrote earlier. I am repeating, but not verbatim: 2Thess 2:1-2, “Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him, that you may not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.” Without expanding on this further, it is fairly easy to understand from the passage here that the Thessalonians were deeply troubled because they thought the terrors that had come upon them were those of the Great Tribulation Paul had taught them of. They were assured they would be caught up to be with the Lord before that event, but they were still on earth (See 1Thess 1:9-10). Jesus is the Deliverer from the coming wrath. Because they thought the wrath had come, they were shaken and thought they had missed the Rapture, identifying their troubles with the Great Tribulation. Paul had to explain there that Jesus is the One who will deliver “out of” (Greek ἐκ) the coming wrath. “Out of” is correct, more so than “from” – “delivers us from [OUT OF] the wrath to come” (1Thess 1:10). Verse 2 here should read, “Day of Jehovah,” or if you like, “Day of the LORD.” I have prepared an article of all the Old Testament and New Testament references to the Day of the LORD with explanation, and it will come onto R.R. in the future. Paul now goes on to tell them that certain things must happen before that Day can come. As those things were not present then, there was no way that Day of Jehovah had come, and they could not be in the Great Tribulation. NASB: 2Thessalonians 2:3-7, “Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.” In verse 7, it is revealed that there is One here who is restraining/hindering the full release and revelation of iniquity/lawlessness. This One is the Holy Spirit, for NO one else (or thing, or happening) can hold back the onslaught of wickedness. Only when He goes, can iniquity become fully matured and burst like a flood on the earth. Wickedness is growing at an alarming rate on earth now and seeks maturity, so the Rapture can’t be that far away. The Holy Spirit WILL and CAN ONLY go when the true Church departs, for He seals the believers with the baptism of the Spirit (1Cor 12:13). The Holy Spirit goes with the departure of the Church. For that reason, this passage in 2Thessalonians can be included in the grouping of Rapture passages. END OF PART 2 [email protected] Palestinians: Why Biden's Aid Will Not Bring Peace - by Khaled Abu Toameh - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17722/palestinians-biden-financial-aid As the Biden administration steps up its efforts to bolster the Palestinian Authority (PA), Palestinians seem to be increasingly losing faith in their leaders. The Palestinian public also appears to be losing faith in any peace process with Israel. Many are even saying that they support the annulment of the Oslo Accords, signed in 1993 between Israel and the PLO and that the only peace process they would support is one that leads to the elimination of Israel. The Biden administration, which earlier this year restored relations with the PA and pledged to resume unconditional financial aid to the Palestinians, apparently believes that such measures will pave the way for the revival of peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians toward a "two-state solution." As part of the policy of strengthening the PA, the Biden administration recently dispatched CIA director William Burns to Ramallah for talks with PA President Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian officials on ways to enhance bilateral relations and embark on confidence-building measures between the Palestinians and Israel. At the behest of the Biden administration, the Israeli government has announced a series of gestures aimed at strengthening the PA, including plans to lend $150 million to the cash-strapped PA government. The gestures are reportedly aimed at bolstering the PA in order to undermine its rivals in the Islamist movement of Hamas. Most Palestinians, however, are clearly unimpressed with both the Biden administration's renewed financial aid and the Israeli government's gestures. These Palestinians are saying no to the PA and Abbas, and to the US and Israel. These Palestinians are saying that they prefer Hamas, the Islamist group that seeks the destruction of Israel, over Abbas. A public opinion poll published on August 25 by the Arab World for Research and Development, which describes itself as "one of the Arab region's leading firms providing our partners and clients with a full range of consulting and technical services for substantial development and state building," indicate that the Biden administration is deluding itself by assuming that US funds could change the hearts and minds of the Palestinians. According to the findings of the poll, 67% of the respondents support the annulment of the Oslo Accords, and 61% of them oppose the continuation of security coordination between the PA and Israel. Those who want the Oslo Accords rescinded are, bluntly, saying that they are opposed to a peace process with Israel. They are also saying that they do not recognize Israel's right to exist. As part of the agreements signed between the two sides, PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat wrote a letter to then Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin in which he claimed that the PLO "recognizes the right of the State of Israel to exist in peace and security." The poll, which covered 1,215 adult Palestinians in the West Bank, found that if elections were to take place today, most Palestinians would not vote for Abbas or any of his loyalists. The poll showed, in fact, that a majority of Palestinians would vote for Hamas and Abbas critic Marwan Barghouti, a senior Fatah leader presently serving five life terms in an Israeli prison for his role in the murders of five Israelis during the Second Intifada (2000-2005). "In a choice between 10 lists, one led by Marwan Barghouti receives the highest level of support (28%), followed by a Hamas list headed by Yahya Sinwar (19%)," according to the results of the poll. On the other hand, a list supported by Abbas would receive only 15%. The elections for the Palestinian parliament and presidency were supposed to take place on May 22, 2021 and July 30, 2021 respectively. Abbas, however, called off the votes in late April, apparently after realizing that he and his supporters were set to lose to Hamas and other political rivals. The poll showed, as well, that Hamas continues to enjoy rising popularity among Palestinians, especially after its 11-day war with Israel in May. Hamas and other armed groups came out as the biggest winners, with 72% assessing their position/performance as "positive." Only 11% assess the position of Abbas as "positive." Seventy-four percent of the respondents believe that the Palestinians came out "victorious" in May's war with Israel. The Palestinians are essentially praising Hamas and the Gaza-based terror groups for firing thousands of rockets and missiles into Israel. The vast majority (80%) believe that Hamas came out stronger in terms of its popularity among Palestinians after the war, while 4% believe that Palestinian Islamic Jihad (the second largest terror group in the Gaza Strip after Hamas) was the winner. Another crucial finding the Biden administration needs to take into account -- as it continues to talk about its "strong commitment to a negotiated two-state solution as the best path to reach a just and lasting resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict" -- is that the poll found that 60% of respondents oppose the principle of a two-state solution. If given a choice, the same percentage (60%) supports a "unified Palestinian state on historic Palestine." This means that a majority of those surveyed believe that Israel has no right to exist and should be replaced with a Palestinian state, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. This is actually an endorsement of the Hamas charter, which states: "... the land of Palestine has been an Islamic Waqf throughout the generations and until the Day of Resurrection; no one can renounce it or part of it, or abandon it or part of it... The liberation of that land is an individual duty binding on all Muslims everywhere... When our enemies usurp some Islamic lands, Jihad [holy war] becomes a duty binding on all Muslims. In order to face the usurpation of Palestine by the Jews, we have no escape from raising the banner of Jihad. We must spread the spirit of Jihad among the Islamic nation, clash with the enemies and join the ranks of the Jihad fighters." While the Biden administration is talking about the need for confidence-building measures between the Palestinians and Israel and the possibility of resuming the stalled peace negotiations, the poll found that 54% of respondents oppose the resumption of the negotiations with Israel at the present time. Another 53% said that they oppose economic and trade relations with Israel. The findings of the poll do not surprise those familiar with the inner workings of the PA and the anti-Israel and anti-US sentiments on the Palestinian street. The US financial aid may prop up the PA in the short term and allow Abbas and his team to hold on to power for some time. In the long term, however, the US dollars will not restore the Palestinians' confidence in Abbas or the PA leadership. US taxpayer dollars will not drive Palestinians to accept Israel's right to exist. The same applies to the Israeli gestures, which are not likely to achieve the Biden administration's hope of bolstering the PA's standing or advancing the "two-state solution." The results of the poll are clear: many Palestinians have been so successfully radicalized by their leaders that they want to see Israel removed from the face of the earth. Hate has been embedded so successfully that they would rather see their people suffer and die than accept any accommodation with Israel. These sentiments are the direct result of decades of bloody incitement against Israel among Palestinians and in most parts of the Arab world. The only way to change this brutal reality is by halting the messages of hate and the delegitimization of Israel. Until that happens, Palestinians will continue to pocket money from the US and other Western donors, while at the same time moving closer to Hamas and further from any peace with Israel. Nearing Midnight: Abraham and America – Terry James – https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ What does Abraham have to do with America? might be the question. No, not Abraham Lincoln, but Abraham, the progenitor of the Jewish race—one of the great, Old Testament fathers of faith in the One, True, Living God. Thousands of years separate the United States of America from the time of Israel’s founding father, yet the linkage couldn’t be more apparent. Let’s explore what I mean. We’ve examined the matter in various ways in our time together in these commentaries. Yet I sense it’s now most necessary to look more deeply into the connection. I believe the commonality of Abraham’s time to ours is undeniable. Sodom’s Lot and Us The comparison of Lot’s time in Sodom to us (believers) and our time in the present-day USA is astounding, really, in my view. Sodom and Gomorrah were perhaps among the most highly successful commercial centers of the world at the time when Lot served in the gates of Sodom. He was apparently a city official—a judge—who rendered verdicts of various sorts in contested matters among the citizenry. It seems that just beneath the civility and smoothly operating society and culture of the time, however, there beat the heart of wickedness that emerged into violence and debauchery once the sun set each day. We can only imagine what level of depravity could cause God, Himself, to come to earth and get a firsthand look at things going on. Now, we know the Lord—the Creator of all that is—knew exactly what was going on in Sodom and Gomorrah. But He came, we can be almost certain, specifically so that there would be a record of the visit. I believe part of the reason for the visit was so you and I could consider the record of it these thousands of years later. The chief sin of those cities—Sodom in particular—almost with a doubt, according to the scriptural record, was sexual activity of the most egregious nature. God the Son, in a theophany appearance to Abraham, addressed the matter of Sodom and Gomorrah: And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. (Genesis 18 20–21) Particularly, sensual evil of every kind had progressed to sexual perversion of every sort. We know that the Apostle Paul reflected on the perverse nature of the activity thousands of years later: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:26–27) Abraham, Lot’s uncle—when he finally figured out that he was in the presence of God, Himself—was terribly worried about what the Lord was about to do. Abraham, no doubt, knew about the evil going on in those heathen cities. He must have known that the Lord already knew all about it, too. Abraham carefully and reverently approached the Lord, asking if He would spare the cities if the Lord could find first fifty righteous there, then thirty, then twenty, then ten. The Lord said “yes” in every case. Abraham then must have concluded that his nephew and family were the only ones who were considered righteous in God’s holy eyes. We don’t know what the population of those towns was, but the percentage of “righteous” within the total population must have been infinitesimally small. There just weren’t enough people who believed in God’s way to prevent destruction of the whole area. In considering America and the degree of the wicked and perverse society and culture our nation has devolved into, here’s an interesting question that is relevant. We’ve heard it asked before: “Might the Lord relent on our own nation’s well-deserved judgment and perhaps destruction if enough “righteous” (true believers in Christ) inhabit our land?” We remember the quote attributed to Ruth Bell Graham, evangelist Billy Graham’s wife: “If God doesn’t judge America [for all the wickedness Mrs. Graham saw] He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” The Lord didn’t get angry at Abraham when He rather meekly sought God’s agreement to relent from His decision to destroy those depraved people. Surely there are more “righteous” in America, percentage-wise, than there were in Sodom and Gomorrah in Lot’s day. On the other hand, in some ways, America, the most God-blessed nation in human history, materially speaking, and one of the most blessed, spiritually, has exceeded any other civilization in wickedness. Considering the slaughter of millions upon millions of the unborn—and the murder of babies even after birth—as well as the twisting of God’s natural order through LGBTQ and other perversion-engendered venues, can the Righteous Lord of Heaven even entertain our prayerfully issued question as He did Abraham’s? Or is it time for Him, like in Lot’s day, to remove the righteous like He did in that troubled time of antiquity? Perhaps, thinking on all the things we see developing, we are about to find out. Is This the Prophesied Worldwide Lie? – Bill Perkins – www.compass.org “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44 Satan is the Father of Lies We have said from the beginning of this so-called "Covid Crisis" that it has to be Satanically driven because it's the only way any of this makes sense to be going on worldwide. Watching people try to figure out what's going on without understanding and applying basic Bible prophecy is so frustrating. It's as if people are totally disconnected from reality. They add one and one and get three. And defend three as a logical answer. But people who have even a basic understanding of what has been prophesied long ago about this day and time see quite clearly what's at work. Believers have a God-given discernment advantage in the Church Age. One of the most interesting latter-days prophecies is that there will come a time when the entire world will be deceived into believing a whopping lie. While discussing that the Rapture would be followed by an evil world leader, Paul says this: For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 2Th. 2:11 My NASB Reference Bible margin notes translates "what is false" to mean "the lie." I must say, if we're close to the Rapture, you would have to be two-short-of-a-coaster-set not to wonder if the prophesied "lie" is believing the world-wide vaccine rollout is a good thing. The tie-in gets even more credible when you realize one of Satan's many flaming arrows is sorcery (Gal. 5:20). ...all the nations were deceived by your sorcery. Rev. 18:23b In the Greek language, the word "sorcery" is the word "pharmakeia" ... where we get the English word "pharmacy." And the Greek definition means "employment of drugs." So that verse should really read: ...all the nations were deceived by your drugs. Rev. 18:23b Isaiah says Satan will ultimately ruin the entire earth. [Is Satan] the one who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew its cities? Is. 14:17 Today Satan knows he only has a short time before he is thrown into hell so he will kill and maim as many as he can, while he can. ...you have ruined your country [Greek word "erets"] you have slain [Greek word "harag"] your people. Is. 14:20 The Greek word used here for "country" actually means "earth." And the Greek word for "slain" actually means "to smite with a deadly intent." So a better translation would be: ...you have ruined your earth, you have slain your people with deadly intent. Is. 14:20 So Satan, "the god of this world" (2Cor. 4:4), tries to kill all the people on earth–ultimately destroying it. We recently wrote an article regarding the beginning of the Tribulation in Rev 6:2. It pictures a new world leader coming in on a white horse pretending to be a savior... but having a "poison-tipped arrow in his hand."(1) Putting all this together the Bible says in the very beginning of the 7-Year Tribulation a man who is sold out to Satan will deceive the nations of the world by riding in on a white horse as a pharmaceutical savior. But he'll actually be deceiving everyone by using drugs that are surreptitiously meant to murder. If in fact that's the correct prophetic interpretation/application, then all the strange things we have seen going on over the last 10 months have been nothing but Satan's lies to keep the world from seeing the truth. While Satan has been distracting us with election fraud, a wide open southern border, wokeness, transgender identifications, mask mandates, inflation, vaccine passports and now Afghanistan, the deadly poison injections have continued to roll out with little protest. Now they may be lying about the so-called "vaccine" being approved...so they can demand everyone take the clot shot. Not 100% sure it actually has been approved, but the government is saying it has.(2) Sadly we were warned in scripture that humans living in the last days would be in a war without even realizing it. Whether you know it or not, admit it or not, Satan, the god of this earth, wants you dead. He mainly hates your guts because you're created in the image of God. That's probably another reason why he likes masks so much. Satan viciously hating you is such a profound truth that God says to pray daily for relief from your adversary. ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.' Matt. 6:13 Satan's pure evil and wants to take as many people as possible with him into the fires of hell. He knows his time is short and therefore is lying his head off to get more poison into people before they realize what he's doing...which apparently is drugging humans to death. As Believers, our job in this day and time is to share the Good News when the Lord opens a door of opportunity. By the Grace of God we've already been given our heavenly ticket so we can go boldly, regardless of what earthly distractions the Lord allows. Use us, Lord! Shalom! Harvard boasts the likes of former president’s Barack Obama and George W. Bush, among six other US Presidents, 11 US Attorney generals, 16 Supreme Court Justices, and presidents and prime ministers from Ireland, China, India, Mongolia, Bolivia, Mexico, Singapore, Chile, Liberia, Columbia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Canada, Somalia, Bhutan, Tanzania, and Hong Kong. Also several Nobel Prize winners and executives like dropouts Bill Gates and Mark Zukerberg came from Harvard. The list goes on and on and the influence of Harvard not only in America, but around the world, is unmatched. Best College Reviews writes, “Harvard University possesses the title of America’s oldest learning institution, founded in 1636. At its inception, this university’s name was “New College,” and its purpose was mainly to educate clergy. In 1639, the school’s name became Harvard University, so named for the Rev. John Harvard. Harvard bequeathed half of his estate and his entire library to the school upon his death. This significant bequest led the school to honor him by taking his name.” Harvard was established by the Massachusetts Bay Colony which after “God had carried us safe to New England…one of the next things we longed for, and looked after was to advance learning and perpetuate it to Posterity; dreading to leave an illiterate ministry to the Churches when our present ministers shall lie in the dust,” as published in the book “New England’s First Fruits” about early evangelization efforts of the Puritans. Imagine Reverend John Harvard’s reaction if he saw what has become of his beloved institute of higher learning in today’s times. Nothing could be more demonstrative of Harvard University’s spiritual condition than the recent announcement that it chose Greg Epstein, 44, a devout atheist and ‘humanist chaplain’ as president of the chaplains of Harvard. During the 2020 election Epstein was the national chair of Humanists for Biden/Harris. The Chaplains describe themselves as “a professional community of more than 30 chaplains, representing many of the world’s religious, spiritual, and ethical traditions, who share a collective commitment to serving the spiritual needs of the students, faculty, and staff of Harvard University.” So much for the foundational doctrine of Christianity proclaimed by Christ in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Harvard has drifted far from its original mooring as proclaimed in its motto, “Truth for Christ and the Church.” Harvard has become a cesspool for secular humanist thought, an example of those forewarned in Romans 1:25-26, “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator…For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections.” Now Harvard has placed a capstone on its transformation with an atheist heading up its chaplaincy. As we look at this latest move and the long list of the oh-so-smart world leaders from Harvard who have made quite the mess of things, we can say it without reservation…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Not Scared but Prepared - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. —Revelation 1:3 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/not-scared-but-prepared/ - Listen I have no interest in puzzles. I have no desire to take out a puzzle and put it back together again. But my wife, Cathe, loves puzzles. If she sees a puzzle on a table, she’ll sit down and start putting it together. When we look at the events of the end times, it can seem like a puzzle. We might think, “I have no idea how all this fits together.” God however, lives in the eternal realm. Not only can He look at the past and see it with clarity, but He also can look at the future and see it in the same way. He sees it all as a continuum. So when God tells us what will happen, it isn’t as though God is taking a risk. He’s simply telling us what the facts are. Therefore, we can trust the Bible when we come to this subject of the end times or the last days. The Bible is the one book that dares to predict the future, not once, not twice, but hundreds of times with 100 percent accuracy. Some would say, “You know, it isn’t really important to study Bible prophecy. No one can figure it out anyway.” But that isn’t true. God wants us to understand what’s happening. I would also add that Revelation promises a special blessing to the person who reads, hears, and keeps the words that are written in it (see Revelation 1:3). And by the way, I’ve read the last page of the Bible, and we win in the end. God has it all under control. Understand, God does not give us Bible prophecy to scare us; He gives it to prepare us. We don’t read these words about the end times so we’ll be scared. Rather, we read about the end times so we’ll be prepared. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
