34 “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:34-36) As we slide further into the time of the end, and the bright sunny days continue to be spiritually dark, it is common for us to look around for an indicator of how long it will be until Jesus Christ returns. We might scan the horizon for any clue to how and when the end-time prophecies will be fulfilled and Christ will return. We watch events as the world continues to churn seemingly out of control. We see many key prophecies being fulfilled and those on the verge of fulfillment. According to the Bible, the world in the last days is divided up into four distinct power blocs.
Of these power blocs, the Bible prophesies distinct descriptions of these four global spheres of mankind's attempt to rule himself, independent of the God of heaven. These four power spheres have been realigning themselves in regional covenants that would have been unheard of not over 50 years ago, as they were natural enemies of one another. This seems to be happening without rhyme or reason, but for political purposes and fulfilling prophecy written down by the prophets, they are coming to pass. There are actually five spheres beyond those mentioned, and that fifth is the United States. Most of the world is turning against her domination of the economy of the world and her military might that has been second to none in the last 70 years since the birth of Israel and the end of the last world war. But she is growing more isolated as the USA (at the moment) does not align herself with the world powers that be against our only real friend found in the nation of Israel. The rest are “friends of convenience” because at the present, they need us, as the world's economy is tied to the dollar and the economy of the USA is what is holding this world's nations together. But hold on,...since the arrival of " sleepy Joe", Israel can no longer count on the USA for protection, weapons, or support. And it will only get worse as we read further. For if the USA would fall, then this world would be in immediate chaos. So those who proclaim friendship with the American people, are not really “friends” using us for our wealth and resources to prop up their own economies. From the last Obummer “administration” that did nothing but apologize for this country and went on a world tour to foster friendship among our most natural enemies, the Islamic countries of the Middle East and Africa, she finds herself suddenly lonely and in conflict with the rest of the world, for the policies of the past Trump Administration who expressed that we must take care of ourselves and “Make America Great Again”. This which flies in the face of the plans for a One World Government and a new World Order that the past "POTUS” who occupied the Oval Office tried to implement. Some of these pretend “friends” include Arabic nations such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, and even Egypt. Others include our once NATO allies of France and Germany which are at odds with the USA over the Iranian Nuclear Deal that did nothing but give Iran the green light to build the bomb. They are our “friends” because at the present are not our enemies...at least not they yet. But look out, "sleepy Joe" is looking to revive that plan. It is no accident that our only true friend in the sea of nations, (as mentioned) is the tiny democratic government of Israel, as she is in the bulls-eye of the end time events that are soon to play out all over your TV sets and the internet. As most of you know, Israel is the door to end time prophecy and Jerusalem is the key to that door of the fulfillment of prophecy of the end times, that was given over 2500 years ago, written down by men who spoke as the Holy Spirit moved them. The Old World powers are in a rage that the USA would actually recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capitol and move our embassy to that city. But that is changing with the present "so called fake POTUS" being in office who is turning a blind eye to Israel. Wars and rumors of wars---Besides that, no one who is alive and awake, can miss all the news concerning what is going on in the Middle East concerning Russia, Iran, and Syria. They have terrorist proxies of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamic Jihad to mention the main players who do their bidding in terrorist activities against Israel. Many believe, including this writer, that war could break out at any given moment, but it will be based on the timing of God's will. Iran is invading the northern borders of Israel's Golan Heights and building missile factories that are a real threat to the security of Israel. We have seen clashes of Iran and Israel lately over Iranian spy drones and an IDF plane being shot down, and Israel stepping up attacks on clear and present danger as Iran attempts to become a major power broker in this region of the world. Iranian threats to Israel are real. ON THE BRINK OF WARS IN THE MIDDLE EAST ISRAEL WILL BE VICTORIOUS BECAUSE OF ALMIGHTY GOD--Two wars come to mind instantly when you speak of hostilities breaking out concerning Israel and her Islamic neighbors. The first, that I believe will happen first and possibly soon, is the Psalm 83 war that describes Israel decimating all of her enemies that surround her country from all sides. With God's Divine help, Israel will be victorious and acquire major lands in her conquest of those who cause her to engage in mass destruction of her opposing enemies. This war could also see the Oracle of Damascus being fulfilled and the city never to be inhabited again. I see Islam being set back on her heels when Israel takes land from Egypt east of the Nile River to the river Euphrates in Iraq in a war that will be swiftly won, because Israel has greater firepower than those who surrounds her, and they should know it. There will be casualties on both sides, but Israel will win. The Arab nations have tried before to wipe Israel out of existence and failed miserably even with huge troop advantages and weapons, but Israel has a “Secret Weapon” that will not abandon her, and that is ALMIGHTY GOD. The next war past the victory won by Israel against her neighbors is the prophesied Gog-Magog war that involves nations that have not been conquered by Israel, meaning Russia, Iran, Libya, Ethiopia, Turkey, and possibly nations of eastern Europe and eastern Asia to include China. This war comes after the war of defense inflicted on invading Arab neighbors and we don't know how long a period between these two wars will Israel have peace and security they have longed for. We will see (Rosh) Russia covet what Israel owns, which is natural gas and oil, not to mention technology that is second to none, to save their economy. But returning to those spheres of influence, as measured from the Holy City of Jerusalem, Russia is to the north, China is the east, Islamic nations in the Middle East and Africa to the south, and the rising revived Roman Empire found in Europe to the west, in the old world found across the big pond of the Atlantic, those are the divisions of power. WHERE IS AMERICA? Apart from these regional actors, the fifth and most powerful sphere of influence is the United States which is resented by all of the other power brokers in the Old World. The coming wars, especially the Gog-Magog war will engulf the whole world. Reading Ezekiel 38-39 gives us the actors that will come against Israel just before a regional war draws all people into a conflict that threatens to rage out of control and cause a 3rd total World War. As we read God's Word, it gives a role to each of these four Old World players on the end time events, -Gog-Magog, the Kings of the East, the Kings of South, and the coming Revised Roman Empire headed by the Anti-Christ. But there is one glaring absence of one global powerhouse of influence that is not mentioned in this coming Middle East war that causes fears of the world bodies that it will spread world wide. That absent influence currently held by the lone superpower on earth, that fifth sphere mentioned found in the United States which the Bible's passage are completely silent on. There are possible reasons why she is not mentioned, at least by name and I believe this THE POSSIBLE DESTRUCTION OF THE USA--The USA is devastated by an EMP attack that sends her back into the dark ages, and 90% of her population dies. The Yellowstone cauldron has exploded and the nation is enveloped in a ash cloud that blocks out the sun, and she is unable to produce anything to feed herself and all plant life dies. The outside chance that the USA is itself the Beast power is the one directing the invasion and supplying troops for that end. (and unlikely scenario) but possible as I have explored in the past. There is another possible reason for her inability to respond to the invasion of Israel is the “rapture of the church” that has decimated her economically with millions suddenly disappearing and her inability to respond to an invasion that the atheist and Muslim world takes advantage of. This would cause the nations economy to virtually implode and eliminate her from being a world power because of the chaos that will ensue, and spreads to the rest of the world. As we know America was the center of Judeo-Christian beliefs in the past, but has been declining in moral character since the 1960s and has become the leader in sins of the flesh that produces porn, destroys life in the womb, and gives special favors to the homosexual crowds in this country, but to name a few. MORAL DECAY OF THE USA AND THE WORLD--Whichever event comes to pass remains to be seen. But as we view the political landscape within the lens of Bible prophecy, we as Christians must be anticipating the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, as the world landscape is shaping up for these two wars to be fought soon. Mankind in our modern age, has attempted to eliminate all aspects of God from public life. This all started in this country, in theory, when the Supreme Court outlawed prayer in our schools and saying Bible verses to memory, and our nation has been going down a slippery slope since that time. Our children in a couple of generations have not been taught the principles of Godly living, from one generation who grew up without God in their lives, now they have passed it on to their kids, and those grown kids have passed along their ungodly nature to their kids as we see our culture virtually imploding with violence in the streets, immigration gone wild bringing diseases and lawlessness into this country, and this violence spreading to our schools where it originated, and children being shot in massacres that we can only be in total shock how this could even happen in this country. THE GREAT RESET AND CONTROL OF OUR MONEY---Only lately, has Joe Biden, the mentally handicapped POTUS echoed the plan of Klaus Schwab, the leader of the WEF (World Economic Forum) to change our currency over to virtual money that can be tracked by a central bank of everyone on the planet. They want to govern what we buy, sell, or exchange and go by a credit score, much like communist China has done to her people. It will take away our freedoms, and as Henry Kissinger said years ago, "Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world." That is where we are right now and is only getting stronger as days go by. And both men are pushing for the "great Reset" or fourth revolution of a One World Government. Can you envision the pre-cursor of the "Mark of the Beast? VIOLENCE IN OUR SCHOOLS---Even lately, the sleepy towns in the Midwest have had threats of violence of “shooting up the school” by teens and pre-teens who have hit the news lately. In the recent past, this even happened at my old high school that I graduated from and my grandsons attend. The world truly has gone mad and not even our kids are safe in what used to be a safe environment, our local schools. We are still a country, by a majority that believes in Judeo-Christian beliefs, but that is dwindling by the day as they are being ostracized and shouted down from public debate by those who hate anything to do with God. But Christianity has no nationality, as Jesus said that we are in the world, but not of it. That is for Christians who have put their faith and trust in Jesus, and it covers the whole world. Jesus said those who have put their trust in Him alone, are but strangers and pilgrims in this God-forsaken world. The apostle Peter and our Lord Jesus spoke of that very fact of our end times. 10 “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”(1st Peter 2:10-12) 12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13) That would describe our world pretty well those who love mankind, and those who do not, with lawlessness abounding all across Europe, the Middle East, and now growing unabated in the land I grew up in, we called, “the good ol' USA”...but it she still good? I have noticed a decline in our national character and it has been coming on for years, but has grown exponentially in the last 15 years or so, andhas gotten really bad. Back when this past “so called POTUS” was elected twice and was determined to “Change America” and he sure did and not for the better. NO TIME FOR FEAR This is a time for Christians in this nation to band together, to pray earnestly for this country, to band together and redouble our effect to inform the world just what is taking place. 7” For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” (2nd Timothy 1:7-10) SIGNS OF THE RETURN OF JESUS ARE EVERYWHERE The Lord is preparing us for His return. The signs are all around us. Anyone who is diligently watching for the growing pains and the symptoms of our departure from this earth, need not debate the signs, as the debate is pointless over signs, season, and the times of the Lord's return, because we know it is close, right at the door. 50, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51, Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed' 52, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1st Corinthians 15:50-52) We are the Church, those who believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and follow His footsteps, of where He walked, we walk likewise. We have promises that cannot be revoked from His Church, His bride who shall see Him, possibly soon. 19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:19-21) FEAR GROWS IN THE WORLD--The Church of the Living God, those who in the Word of God, know what is coming. There is not a debate. Everyone feels that something is on the horizon. The Christian believer knows it, those who are luke-warm sitting on a pew in a church, or not sitting at all, and even those who don't believe in anything but themselves, feel that something big is about to happen. You can literally feel it in the air, or in the tensions that are being displayed all over this earth. We see the earth being in convulsions that have never been displayed like it has the last 20 years in every part of the globe. The prophesies that God told us would be the end of the Age of Grace is coming faster and faster, where many are left breathless. We are not fearful, but excited to be living in this time of history. We will see with our own eyes the coming of our Lord Jesus and I look for Him every fall around the Feast of Trumpets, as that is the next marker on God's Plan for Mankind, the departure of His church before the tribulation falls on this world in God's wrath and fury. 25” And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:25-28) The heavens are screaming His soon return. We have seen eclipses, blood moons, total eclipses that passed over the whole center section of the USA, and alignment of stars and planets. We have heard of predictions of outer space asteroids, and Planet X supposedly coming close to this planet. This planet and our heavens are due to be shaken. Revelation tells us that every island will be moved out of its place and mountains will fall flat during the awful coming “Day of the Lord”. “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. 3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.” (Joel 2:1-3) 11 “Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord. 12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”(Joel 3:11-16) The above verses speak of the coming Tribulation on the wrath of God falling upon this earth. The Tribulation that the "bride of Christ" will not be a part of, because of the blood of Jesus that saved us from the coming wrath. THE PROPHET JOEL WARNED US--The prophet Joel describes in easy to understand language what is to come upon the earth, and people we are bumping right up the days he speaks of. Why do I say that? Because the political drama unfolding in the Middle East will lead to war, and that war will lead to the prophesied Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog war. And my friend, my belief is that we won't see that war played out. We won't see the Arab nations led by Iran and Russia destroyed in an “Arab Holocaust” on the mountains of Israel, because soon after that, the Son of Perdition, the Anti-Christ will sign a 7 year treaty with Israel and the Tribulation starts in earnest, as this is what reveals the Anti-Christ to the world. Wrath will begin almost immediately, as the world is engulfed in wars, and supernatural events. We are promised that the wrath of God will not be applied to His Church. 10 “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Revelation 3:10-11) The church will be KEPT OUT of the Tribulation, not through it, as I have revealed in past messages, that the wording in Greek says we will be removed from one location to another completely away from the time and space of the coming event, known as the Tribulation. Besides all these events that signal war coming to the Middle East and the fulfilling of prophecy of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39, the kicker is the prophecy that our Lord Jesus gave of who will see these events happen.. 32 “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (Matthew 24:32-36) As I have warned many times in the past, Israel is the fig tree that has bloomed in 1948, and Jesus said a generation who see this happen will be alive to see His return for His Church and His Second Coming to reign and rule for a 1000 years. What is a generation? According to Psalms 90, a generation is 70 year, and 80 years by strength, then we fly away. Guess how many years Israel has been a nation that bloomed? This year it is 74 years....the outside of a generation is that of 80 years, but subtract the 7 year tribulation, and you can do simple math to know that we are on the cusp of the Lord's return..Not to make date predictions, but the day and hour we don't know, but we are definitely in the season of the end of that generation. So the political landscape as it heats up, gives us more reason to believe that Jesus is coming, right at the door. 9” For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (2nd Thesslonians 5:9-11) And again Paul emphasizes this fact...... “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:9) It is true, my reader, Jesus is coming soon....possibly even this year. I can't be for sure, as He has not told me directly, but His Word is screaming “I AM COMING”. The fields are white unto harvest, but the laborers are few. That is why I am sharing this truth with you now. Don't be afraid of the future, as everybody you meet will be afraid. But I have the answer to where you don't have to be afraid either. It is found in two simple passages that I share at the end of every message. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”(John 3:16-18) Then confess to others your new found belief in Jesus as Lord and Savior... 8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:9-11) Believe that the tribulation is right around the corner in our world, and no one who hears to Word of Truth should have to endure what is coming that will destroy 80-90% of all mankind in various forms of torture, death and destruction. Make that decision for Jesus Christ today, then share the Gospel of what Jesus did for you with those around you. We must be prepared and "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"(1 Peter 3:15) ". . .for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Revelation 12:12) And friends, you don't want to be here to see that happen. Accept my Jesus today, make Him your Hero in your life, as He will save you from this world and give you eternal life. TILL WE MEET AT JESUS FEET 3 Factors Which Are About To Make The Coming Food Shortages Even Worse - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/3-factors-which-are-about-to-make-the-coming-food-shortages-even-worse/ A confluence of circumstances has come together to create a “perfect storm” for global food production, and now that “perfect storm” is about to get even worse. For months I warned that this crisis was coming, and in recent weeks I have been documenting how dire conditions have already become all over the globe. The head of the UN World Food Program is warning that this is going to be the worst worldwide food crisis since World War II, and even Joe Biden is admitting that the approaching food shortages “are going to be real”. Unfortunately, there have been some new developments which threaten to significantly escalate things. In recent days, the number of newly confirmed COVID cases in China has soared to record highs, and Chinese authorities have responded to this with unprecedented lockdowns. As a result, almost 400 million Chinese are now “under full or partial lockdown”… Nearly 400 million people across 45 cities in China are under full or partial lockdown as part of China’s strict zero-Covid policy. Together they represent 40%, or $7.2 trillion, of annual gross domestic product for the world’s second-largest economy, according to data from Nomura Holdings. Analysts are ringing warning bells, but say investors aren’t properly assessing how serious the global economic fallout might be from these prolonged isolation orders. Chinese lockdowns are a lot more brutal than lockdowns in the western world. By now, you have probably seen video footage of Shanghai residents literally screaming from their apartment windows. I have never seen anything like that before, and these lockdowns will continue as long as COVID keeps spreading. To put this in perspective, the number of people that are currently locked down in China is greater than the total population of the United States. Needless to say, these lockdowns are bringing the Chinese economy to a grinding halt, and that is going to affect the entire planet. At the Port of Shanghai, activity “is essentially at a standstill”… The Port of Shanghai, which handled over 20% of Chinese freight traffic in 2021, is essentially at a standstill. Food supplies stuck in shipping containers without access to refrigeration are rotting. This is an enormous problem for those of us in the western world, because our stores are normally filled with goods that have been made in China. And this even extends to our food supply. For example, we send giant mountains of apples to China where they are processed and sent back to us as apple juice. We need to hope that the lockdowns in China end soon, because if that does not happen it will likely create tremendous shortages all over the planet. Meanwhile, the fertilizer crisis in the United States is about to get even worse. Previously, I have written about how the skyrocketing cost of fertilizer is going to cause massive problems for many U.S. farmers, and now many of those farmers may not be able to get the fertilizer that they need at all due to “railroad-mandated shipping reductions”. The following comes directly from a notice released by CF Industries… CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF), a leading global manufacturer of hydrogen and nitrogen products, today informed customers it serves by Union Pacific rail lines that railroad-mandated shipping reductions would result in nitrogen fertilizer shipment delays during the spring application season and that it would be unable to accept new rail sales involving Union Pacific for the foreseeable future. The Company understands that it is one of only 30 companies to face these restrictions. CF Industries ships to customers via Union Pacific rail lines primarily from its Donaldsonville Complex in Louisiana and its Port Neal Complex in Iowa. The rail lines serve key agricultural areas such as Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas and California. Products that will be affected include nitrogen fertilizers such as urea and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) as well as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), an emissions control product required for diesel trucks. CF Industries is the largest producer of urea, UAN and DEF in North America, and its Donaldsonville Complex is the largest single production facility for the products in North America. I was astounded to hear that 30 different companies will be affected by these reductions. Someone at Union Pacific needs to give us some straight answers about what is really going on, because the CEO of CF Industries says that this change “could not come at a worse time for farmers”… “The timing of this action by Union Pacific could not come at a worse time for farmers,” said Tony Will, president and chief executive officer, CF Industries Holdings, Inc. “Not only will fertilizer be delayed by these shipping restrictions, but additional fertilizer needed to complete spring applications may be unable to reach farmers at all. By placing this arbitrary restriction on just a handful of shippers, Union Pacific is jeopardizing farmers’ harvests and increasing the cost of food for consumers.” Of course this comes in the aftermath of a disastrous winter wheat harvest in the United States, and the winter wheat harvest over in China is being called the worst in history. So we desperately need a really good growing season in the months ahead, and now that is being jeopardized by more supply chain issues. At the same time, the new bird flu pandemic in the U.S. just continues to intensify. On Friday, we learned that Idaho has become the 27th U.S. state to have confirmed cases at a commercial facility… On Friday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced yet another outbreak, this one in two flocks in Idaho, making that the 27th state in which the virus has been found since February. According to the USDA, the price of a dozen eggs in November hovered around $1. Right now, that price is $2.95 and rising. The cost of eggs has already gone completely nuts, and it is only going to go higher. If you don’t eat eggs or anything that contains eggs, then this will not affect you. Unfortunately, the vast majority of us will be affected by this, and we are being warned that this pandemic could get a lot worse in the months ahead. Of course the cost of chicken meat and the cost of turkey meat will both continue to soar as well. In fact, one of my readers just wrote to let me know that the price of chicken breasts at his local store shot up 43 percent… I thought I would give you a quick update on Inflation/Food Shortages. I just got back from The Dollar General Store in Holden, MO. I was going to buy some Tyson Chicken Breasts to stock up for the future. They went from $6.95 to $9.95. That’s a 43% jump in price!!! There was plenty of them (6 packages) but I just felt like I couldn’t afford them so I didn’t buy any. Michael have you heard anything about shortages of Crackers??? I had to wait 4 months for a certain type of Cracker to get restocked in The Dollar General Store. I also have been having a lot of trouble getting Saltine Crackers at our local Grocery Store. 2 weeks ago they finally had 1(!!!) box of the type I buy and I grabbed it up immediately. This week none again. Not sure what the problem is. Gas here is $3.49. Diesel Fuel is $4.69. I feel sorry for the guys that have these big Diesel Pickups with 40 gallon fuel tanks. I have been combining shopping and errands in 1 trip plus letting my Pickup set in the driveway to conserve Gas. A lot of the factors that are contributing to this growing global food crisis are outside of our control. But if we could at least bring a halt to the shooting in Ukraine, that would give us a ray of hope. Unfortunately, negotiations have totally broken down, and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken just told CNN that the war could continue through the end of the year… Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Washington’s European allies that the US believes the war in Ukraine could last through the end of 2022, CNN reported Friday, citing two European officials. The report said that many Western officials have assessed there’s no short-term end in sight for the war, and public comments from US officials have reflected this. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has warned of a “protracted conflict” that he said could go on “for months or even longer.” Ukraine and Russia usually account for approximately 30 percent of all global wheat exports, and so we desperately need that war to end. Sadly, that isn’t going to happen. These days, it seems as though almost everything that can go wrong for global food production is going wrong, and the stage is being set for the sort of horrific global famine that I have been relentlessly warning about. Our leaders may be able to print money, but they can’t print food. If you are waiting for them to wave their magic wands and conjure up a perfect solution to this crisis then I am afraid that you are going to be bitterly, bitterly disappointed. In Scripture, God has provided foreshadowings and templates through His prophetic Word to guide us into the knowledge and understanding of that which is to come. The story of Joseph during the famine in Egypt reveals a future reality for us today. After his redemption from prison by revealing the meaning of Pharaoh’s dreams, Joseph acted on the king’s behalf to preserve Egypt from the prophesied hard times. During the years of plenty, Joseph assured that the store cities were filled to capacity and more with food. Once the famine began, he successfully oversaw the distribution of the food, but it came at a great price. Genesis 47 shows us that people first used all their money to purchase food. When they’d spent all their funds, they exchanged their livestock for sustenance. After they’d given all their animals, the people sold their land in order to eat. Finally, they sold themselves. They owned nothing – not even their own bodies. To consider our current circumstances in the light of Joseph’s necessary but drastic measures that stripped all possessions and human dignity from the people, let’s view some scenes that might occur in the not-too-distant future. Also, we must not neglect to acknowledge that God allowed this progression in Joseph’s day so as to set up the circumstances for the deliverance of Israel in the Exodus. What is occurring today has God’s sanction as He orchestrates conditions for His judgment in these end-times upon the unbelieving world. Genesis 47:20 sets up the scenario that brought the people of Egypt under total control of Pharaoh: “And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.” To illustrate what this might look like in our present day, consider some possible scenarios that people may encounter: Gloria turned over in bed and discovered that Lee’s side was empty. The red digits of the clock read 2:47. Worried, she found him in the office with his head between his hands, sitting before the glowing computer screen. “Lee?” He moaned. “I don’t know what to do.” He gestured at the display that showed their farm’s finances. “It’s worse than I imagined.” The thought of what she could say kept her from immediately responding, but she had to force out the words. “We could take the government’s offer.” “The drought is killing us. There’s no fertilizer available. Our land is nothing but cracked earth and sand. I thought by selling our livestock, that would hold us over.” He shook his head. “We’re so deep in debt, I can’t see a way out.” “You remember in the 80s all the farm bankruptcies? They had no choice. Maybe we can at least exchange what we own to give us more time.” Lee switched screens with his computer mouse. “This is the offer they sent. There’s no wiggle room. In exchange for our land, they’ll move us to an apartment in the city. Period. We have to give up everything. Once we do that, they’ll house and feed us.” “Do we have a choice?” “I hate it… but, no.” Genesis 47:21 tells us: “And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.” In Egypt, Joseph required the people to work their former lands as before. They had to give Pharaoh twenty percent of their crops and were allowed to retain the rest for their own consumption. Presumably, during the famine years, not much came of these efforts, but the circumstances didn’t change once they exited the final seven years. Pharaoh continued to own the people and all they did. They owned nothing themselves: The government representative opened the door of their new apartment. Except it wasn’t bright and shiny. The building was older. Gloria had wondered on the way up in the creaking elevator if it would stall. They might be stuck for hours. Or days. Would anyone even notice and free them? The curtains were filthy. Dingy linoleum on the floor absorbed what little light filtered in through the single window. Some animal had shredded the old sofa with its sharp claws. As she passed it on the way to the kitchen, Gloria caught a whiff of stale urine. Her heart fell as she saw what she’d be faced with each day in preparing meals. Then she remembered there’d be little to no cooking. All they required to survive would be delivered to the lobby each mealtime for pickup. On their farm, she and Lee had saved for several years to replace the appliances and update the entire kitchen. It had been her pride and joy. This small and dreary galley barely fit two people. She opened the refrigerator and drew back at the odor that assaulted her senses. “This isn’t plugged in,” she said to the woman who’d made no effort to join her in the tight space. The agent shrugged. “We can’t spend money on frivolous expenditures. Energy is expensive. It’s been two months since the last people in here moved out – well, died, actually. Why should we run electricity for nothing?” Gloria gave a disgusted glance back at the grimy stove as she joined Lee and the government rep in the tiny dining area. He said, “Isn’t there another place you can show us?” “Beggars can’t be choosers.” The woman extracted a sheaf of papers from her briefcase. “Just sign right here, and the place is yours.” Lee’s shoulders drooped. Gloria knew how badly he felt, as though he’d failed in his role of husband and provider. They’d been required to leave everything behind: cars, farm equipment, their home for thirty years, and all its furnishings. From what they’d heard, the man working with the government who’d bought all their prior possessions for a song was the largest landowner in the nation. He planned to bulldoze all they’d left behind and build artificial food factories. Her husband took the stack and shuffled through each page. “Wait a minute. There’s a clause in here that stipulates if we have any firearms, we have to relinquish them. I’ve always had guns. We’re in the city now. There’s all sorts of criminals running around. How are we supposed to protect ourselves?” “That’s not my problem. Didn’t you give those up yet? Are you going to take this place, or not? If so, you have to comply.” Gloria knew they had no other options. The woman was right. They were nothing but beggars now at the mercy of the government. The question has been asked and answered as to what the general populace will do when they own nothing. What will keep them occupied? What will their lives be like when they don’t have to work because the government gives them everything? For those in Egypt, some number continued to labor on their land. It’s doubtful this would occur now. Yuval Harari, the futurist and author whose influence is growing exponentially, has spoken plainly about this: The blaring TV worked as an anesthetic on Gloria. She’d never watched much in the past while running their farm household; now she had little else to do. Every now and then, she’d glance at her waist and hips that had expanded from her lack of activity. On the farm, she hardly ever sat; now she seldom walked. If it weren’t for the three times each day that she took the elevator to the lobby to pick up their meals, she figured she’d be pretty useless. Kind of like Lee. Working their land, he toiled early morning until late at night. A farmer’s job was never done. After a period of adjustment in the apartment, he’d found a treasure trove of video games that kept him occupied most of the day. He likewise was putting on the pounds. Early on, he’d complained about boredom, but now Gloria couldn’t tear him away from the video screen. Periodically he’d cry out in victory or defeat depending on how his virtual character fared in the metaverse. Other than that, she and Lee had little interaction and less in common. Gloria had heard that the manufactured food they ate contained various drugs along with essential nutrients. She thought that might be true. At first, both of them had been quite unhappy with life in the city in the confines of their apartment. Over the months, that had changed. Despite a passing concern, both she and Lee had come to accept their fate, even feeling a sense of satisfaction with their lives. It was hard to concentrate sometimes and ponder such deep matters. The thought of their being useless eaters surfaced at odd, intermittent times as a disturbing reality, but mostly the emotion she felt was happiness. Moving people to the city has its challenges. Those who are bored and restless are a threat. Addressing this issue of what to do with all these useless people, Harari said: “My best guess at present is a combination of drugs and computer games.” This is how little he values his fellow man. The spiritual entities and the global elites propelling mankind toward their deadline of 2030 to accomplish the New World Order must act ruthlessly. Controlling a global population requires less of it so that it’s manageable. Just as the Georgia Guidestones laid out, the number of humans in the world must decrease in drastic measure. Those that aren’t valuable and haven’t yet succumbed to the genocide agenda must be corralled into cities where they can be manipulated. We inevitably cite George Orwell’s 1984 for the Big Brother surveillance and monitor systems that are being implemented in every connected device. However, just as important is the deadening of the human spirit. Aldous Huxley wrote of this in Brave New World, where the people were kept drugged and content through Soma. How convenient for the overlords to lessen discomfort, relieve anxiety, and dissipate any stressful feelings so that the populace doesn’t feel any need to rise up in rebellion! This is a dim and dismal picture. Is it any wonder large numbers of people are waking up to the potential of where the globalists want to take us? Before we reach this stage, they say, we must unite and fight back, peacefully at first if possible; or taking up arms if it comes to that. The problem is the focus on this world and believing that it’s all we have. Thus, there’s the understandable necessity to preserve it. God is allowing everything we’re experiencing to happen for a reason. He has shown in His inerrant Word that such times would come and get worse. People can wake up, rise up, and fight until they’re blue in the face. The Lord will probably honor Godly people and their misdirected efforts in this regard, but Bible prophecy will not be thwarted, whether by Satan and his minions or through the concerted efforts of determined humanity. The convergence of end-times signs is present for a reason. The point is near when God will judge mankind. Sin and depravity are rising to unimaginable levels. The transhumanist movement, which intends to improve upon God’s creation because it’s too limiting, is close to what likely happened in Noah’s day prior to the flood. DNA manipulation so as to alter humanity is nearing its tipping point. All that’s been experimented with in labs worldwide for many years is on the brink of being released. The only light shining against this darkness comes from the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. If we know Him and His Word, our preparations aren’t to save the world but to rescue the souls of unredeemed men and women. All the bad things we can imagine will come about; that’s assured. The greater certainty, however, is the blood of Christ and the Gospel that gives us hope: Jesus came, He died, He rose from the dead, and He’s coming back. When we believe this, we live despite how Death and Hades desire to bring us down. Who were his parents? Where was he born? He’s called “king of Salem” (king of peace). Abraham met him after he fought a major battle. “And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.” Genesis 14:17-18. Who was this king and priest Melchizedek? There are two main ideas about who he was. One idea is that he was actually Noah’s son, Shem. At first that sounds unbelievable until you do a little research and find that Shem actually outlived Abraham. The other idea is that he was an Old Testament appearance of Jesus Christ. Do some study and come to your own conclusion. Melchizedek is mentioned again in a Psalm written by King David. In it, David writes about the coming Messiah and relates Him to Melchizedek. “ The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” Psalm 110:1-4. In one of His “discussions” with the Pharisees, Jesus asked them about Psalm 110. “Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?” Matthew 22:42-44 (Jesus quoted from Psalm 110:1). David knew of Melchizedek and said Messiah would be a priest like him. What could he have meant by that? Melchizedek was the king of Salem as well as a priest. He lived long before God gave the Law to Moses. In that law, it was forbidden for a king to be a priest. It was established that only the tribe of Levi would be priests, especially the sons of Aaron. The kings would be from the tribe of Judah. Therefore, a king could not be a priest, nor could a priest be a king. The writer of Hebrews made mention of Melchisedec (New Testament spelling) nine times, so understanding who he was seems to be important. The letter to the Hebrews confuses many Christians. It’s easier to understand when you remember who it was written to and why. It was written to Jewish people who believed in Christ, but were under great pressure to return to being under the Law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled the law, so returning to the law would have been a step backwards. Instead of being saved by grace through faith they would have returned to works and rituals. The writer of Hebrews shows that Jesus is superior to the Law. The recipients of the letter were Jewish, so much of the letter centers around the Old Testament and the law. The writer of the letter explains about the priesthood. “For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for he himself also is compassed with infirmity.” Hebrews 5:1-2. In other words, the priests were merely humans with the same weaknesses as any other human. It must be noted, too, that the Jewish priesthood had restrictions. Priests had to be from the tribe of Levi. When Abraham met Melchizedek, the Jewish nation hadn’t been established and Levi hadn’t even been born. Still, he is described in Genesis 14:18 as a priest of the most high God. That’s a clue that God ordained him prior to Moses. On the day of Pentecost, Peter gave his first sermon, in which he explained to the Jewish listeners what Christ had accomplished. The insight and understanding of all he saw and heard from Jesus was amazing. He quoted Old Testament prophecy from the prophet Joel “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” Acts 2:17 (Joel 2:28) and explained it was being fulfilled that day, but also made note that prophecy still had future fulfillment. Peter affirmed the miracles Jesus had done, and the listeners had seen them too. Peter also quoted many Psalms of King David, including Psalm 110:1 (Acts 2:34-35). About three thousand of those who heard his words were convicted of their need for Jesus. Peter preached God’s word with no cute stories or jokes. Maybe pastors today need to use prophecy and Scripture to reach lost souls for Christ instead of tickling ears. The Levitical priesthood not only had a tribal limit, but also had other limitations. Obviously, if a priest died their service ended. Unlike the Levitical priests, Christ shed His own blood for our salvation, and arose in victory over death. He is our eternal high priest. “Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” Hebrews 6:20. Melchizedek was prior to the Law, the Levites, and their limitations of office. He lived long before Levi was born. Jesus was even older; He was the Creator who spoke all things into existence. He conquered death and lives eternally. Therefore, His priesthood had no beginning and will have no end. There are many reasons why Jesus, as our high priest, doesn’t have the limits according to Jewish Law. “For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec” Hebrews 7:14-17. When Jesus gave His life on the cross, there was no more separation between sinful humans who put their faith in Him and God. “And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.” Mark 15:38. That veil guarded the Holy of holies and only the high priest could enter once a year to put the blood of the sacrificial animal on the altar as a sin offering. First the high priest had to make a sin offering for his own sins. Now, there was an eternal High Priest who put His own blood upon the altar in the temple in Heaven and had no sin of his own. “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” Hebrews 9:11-14 The idea of Jesus making the Levitical priesthood obsolete isn’t a New Testament idea. “Behold the days come saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: but this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Jeremiah 31:31-33. The prophet Zechariah gave a prophecy concerning someone being both priest and king. “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.” Zechariah 6:12-13. The “Branch” is Jesus of Nazareth. “For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. “Hebrews 7:1-3. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ changed everything. Only God could make the changes. Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets; now no human priest is necessary to be a go-between. The Jewish priests were merely humans who needed their own sins forgiven before placing blood on the altar for forgiveness for other sinful humans. Today, some denominations try to have human priests and popes forgive sins. We only need Jesus. If you haven’t placed your faith in Him, then do it now. Time is getting short, and you need forgiveness from the everlasting Priest after the order of Melchizedek. Many Christian Americans, however, see the handwriting on the wall that these rights are in the crosshairs of the godless. Those who disagree with the political left are labeled bigots, hate mongers and racists and more. The more that Christians are able to be slotted into these categories, the easier it is for wicked politicians and purveyors of false doctrine to demonize Christians and take away freedom of speech and of religious expression. Act, we must. Stand, we must. But it is in how we respond that will either turn the tide of moral depravity in this nation or accelerate it into deeper darkness. We need to change the dialogue. Instead of being viewed as judgmental on one end of the spectrum or hypocritical by embracing the sin (as several denominations already have done), we must study how Christ handled fallen culture and emulate him–Beginning with the pulpit. Jesus had little patience with false teachers and often warned of them. He called them hypocrites in Mark 7:6-7, “This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” In Matthew 23, Jesus called them fools, blind, whitewashed sepulchers. Pastors, reverends, priests, who are teaching false, extra-biblical and self-indulgent doctrine need to be removed or you need remove yourself and sit under a true Bible teaching shepherd. But to know good doctrine, you must study the word of God, especially how Jesus handled sinners. No pastor is going to stand in your place on judgment day. It will be you who will account for your life. So know your Word. Make it a point to do so. It is life or death to so many. Understand that Jesus stood the ground against sin through truth and love. He didn’t judge or condemn sinners, but met them where they were and allowed them to be convicted by their own conscience. The woman at the well in John 4, the adulteress in John 8 are examples. But we must remember in John 3:17 Jesus said, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” It is not for us to judge or condemn. John 8:9 says, “And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience…” Stand on the truth of the Word, make it known that you have a Biblical worldview, but don’t be arrogant or overbearing. Be wise and gentle. In summary, we need to change the conversation. Get away from or remove those pastors that are not aligned with the word of God. Know the word of God yourself, not based on some study by someone else, but on your own study. The Holy Spirit will guide you if you seek the truth. Engage people through your words and actions, but allow them the freedom to be convicted by their own conscience. Understand you are a lamb among wolves and your protection and leader is the Good Shepherd. If you’re a child of God, then you won’t habitually sin. You won’t be sinless, but you will sin less. If you really have accepted God’s gift of salvation, then you will be unhappy and miserable when you’ve sinned. The Bible tells us in 1 John 3:9, “Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God” (NLT). This verse doesn’t say that if you’re a child of God, you won’t sin because everyone sins all the time. But if you’re a child of God, then you won’t be happy after you sin, and you’ll want to get right with God. There are sins of commission and sins of omission. A sin of commission is when you do what you should not do, while a sin of omission is not doing what you should do.
