Overnight on Sunday, Israel reportedly carried out airstrikes in Syria, specifically targeting the capital of Damascus. In recent months, Israel has carried out many strikes in Damascus for two reasons. Number one, Damascus International Airport is a transit point for Iranian weapons shipments heading through Syria to southern Lebanon and into the hands of Iran’s most lethal proxy, Hezbollah. Number two, a good deal of Iranian backed militias are based in and around Damascus, the home to weapons factories, which presumably produce advanced weapons that could and would be used against Israel. So, what went down Sunday night in the Syrian capital? According to media sources in the region, Israel carried out strikes in Damascus, killing four soldiers of the Syrian army of Bashar Al Assad and also wounding several others. The Syrian regime works in tandem with Iran and Hezbollah throughout the country at these weapons factories, which were reportedly targeted last night. Last year Israel shut down Damascus International Airport for the better part of a week because of weapons shipments coming in, many times, disguised as civilian flights. Iran hasn’t quite gotten the memo. The more Israel has struck the Iranian regime and its assets in and around Damascus, the more it seems they continue to push. What we have here is essentially a collision course where Iran and Hezbollah say, “We are in Syria to stay,” and Israel says, “Oh, no, you don’t. This is a non-starter for us and an absolute red line,” for obvious reasons. Iran wants to use Syria as a launching pad for attacks against Israel. They want to duplicate in Syria what they have very successfully accomplished next door in southern Lebanon, where Hezbollah has some 150,000 rockets and missiles pointed at every inch of Israel. Iran is working to transport precision-guided missiles (PGMs) through Syria. Those precision-guided missiles do exactly what their name says; they’re designed to hit targets with greater accuracy and greater precision. Iran is hell bent on accomplishing this and Israel is determined to stop them. Israel, as is its MO, did not comment on the strikes. I’m sure Iran and the Assad regime are fuming, but the answer is simple: Stop building weapons to attack Israel inside of Syria, and get Iran and Hezbollah out of the country. That’s the ultimate solution, but we know that’s not going to happen without force. There’s clearly a showdown coming in Syria. It would encompass Syria, Lebanon, and Israel going toe to toe with Iran and their various jihadist allies in those two countries. Of course, the entire ring of fire that surrounds Israel would ignite in that event, getting Gaza, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad involved, even perhaps the Houthis in Yemen further to the south. That day is coming and may be rapidly approaching as we see hostilities ramp up along the Israel-Lebanon border, and of course, in Syria. I strongly encourage you to watch my recent newscast, where I laid out a very alarming report from the Alma Research and Education Center in Israel detailing how a future conflict with Israel and Hezbollah may very well use chemical weapons, God forbid. This report was disturbing, to say the least, and eye-opening. There is a Syrian military complex called the CERS center where the Syrian regime, according to this Alma report, is developing weapons of mass destruction, certainly chemical and biological weapons. Hezbollah and the Iranian regime are closely guarding the center. Israel has carried out airstrikes against it over recent months, but they haven’t completely neutralized the threat coming from this Syrian regime’s weapons industrial factory. According to this Alma report, it cannot be ruled out that Hezbollah would use chemical weapons in a future confrontation with Israel. Prophetic Significance Every time an Israeli strike occurs against Damascus, I’m asked about a prophecy in Isaiah 17:1, which says, “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.” Damascus is one of the world’s oldest inhabited cities, going back thousands of years. To my knowledge, it has never been completely destroyed. Even the Mongols, which destroyed everything in their path did not completely destroy Damascus. While some say it was fulfilled over the last decade in the Syrian civil war, I strongly disagree. Some parts are absolutely a ruinous heap, but it has not ceased to be a city. Isaiah 17:1 has yet to be fulfilled. When we have frequent action in Damascus, like what occurred Sunday night, and we have reports of chemical weapons development in Syria, we can see clearly that dangerous days may lie ahead in the country and its capital. Of course the leaders of the coup do not intend to back down, and so there will probably be war. But that will be a relatively small conflict compared to others that are looming on the horizon. On Monday, we learned that over 3,000 U.S. troops have arrived in the Red Sea… More than 3,000 United States military personnel have arrived in the Red Sea aboard two warships, part of a beefed up response from Washington after tanker seizures by Iran, the US Navy said Monday. The deployment adds to a growing US military buildup in tense Gulf waterways vital to the global oil trade and led Tehran on Monday to accuse the US of inflaming regional instability. This is part of an ongoing effort by the Biden administration to bolster U.S. forces in the region, and it is hoped that a larger U.S. presence will deter Iran from taking control of any more internationally flagged ships… Their arrival followed a U.S. announcement last month it would deploy a destroyer, F-35 and F-16 warplanes, along with the Amphibious Readiness Group/Marine Expeditionary Unit, to the Middle East to deter Iran from seizing ships in the Gulf. The U.S. military says Iran has either seized or attempted to take control of nearly 20 internationally flagged ships in the region over the past two years and the Biden White House wants to see more forces in the region to stand ready to engage Iran if required, as Breitbart News reported. Meanwhile, it is being reported that the city of Damascus was just “rocked by Israeli missile strikes”… After weeks of relative quiet, the Syrian capital of Damascus was rocked by Israeli missile strikes in the early Monday morning hours, resulting in the deaths of four Syrian soldiers and several more wounded, according to state agency SANA. The attack also caused unspecified “material damage” – while multiple inbound projectiles were reportedly intercepted by Syrian air defense. Videos which emerged in the aftermath appeared to show intercept explosions above the city in the overnight hours. Tensions in the Middle East haven’t been this high in decades, and a major war could erupt at literally any time. But I don’t think that planners in the west are anticipating a major war in the Middle East in 2023. My personal opinion is that if a big move in the region is planned, it will be in 2024. Meanwhile, the much-hyped “counter-offensive” in Ukraine is not going very well… On Aug. 3-5, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost 2,040 additional men, bringing Ukrainian casualties to over 45,000 since the beginning of the “Counter-Offensive” June 4. The AFU has approx. 200.000 combat soldiers, 36.000 of which were trained at NATO bases like Grafenwöhr, Germany in the past months. Writing on Russian Sputnik News, US Maj. Scott Ritter called the Ukrainian attack on heavily defended Russian lines with inexperienced troops and no air support a “massacre”, with Ukrainians suffering losses at the rate of 10 to 1 compared to the Russians. Ritter called the “road to Rabotino” east of Zaporizhzhia “a highway to hell” Ritter is quite right. Ukrainian forces are just getting slaughtered by well prepared Russian defenses, but more young Ukrainians are being sent to their deaths with each passing day. This “counter-offensive” was supposed to be the campaign that turned the tide of the war, but instead it is the Russians that are currently advancing… Russia claimed its troops had advanced three kilometres (two miles) along the Kupiansk front in northeastern Ukraine. The Russian defence ministry said that it had “improved” its standing along the front line in the last three days and continued to repel Ukrainian counter-attacks. “Over the past three days, the advance of Russian troops… amounted to 11 kilometres along the front and more than three kilometres deep into the enemy’s defence,” the ministry said. But instead of pushing for peace, the Biden administration continues to insist that we are going to pour more resources into this war “for as long as it takes”, and so both sides just continue to escalate matters. On the other side of the planet, the Chinese continue to prepare for an invasion of Taiwan. And once the Chinese do invade, the U.S. and China will instantly be at war. Most Americans do not seem to understand how close we really are to such a scenario. The Chinese government is absolutely obsessed with “reuniting” with Taiwan, and an eight part documentary was just released on Chinese television that is helping to mentally prepare the general public for the conflict that lies ahead… China has released a new documentary about the army’s preparation to attack Taiwan and showcasing soldiers pledging to give up their lives if needed as Beijing continues to ramp up its rhetoric against the self-ruled island. “Chasing Dreams,” an eight-part docuseries aired by state broadcaster CCTV earlier this week to mark the People Liberation Army’s 96th anniversary, features military drills and testimonials by dozens of soldiers, of which several express their willingness to die in a potential attack against Taiwan. This eight part documentary would not be on state television if the central government did not want it there. In it, some members of the Chinese military express their intention to literally lay down their lives if that is what is necessary to take Taiwan… “If war broke out and the conditions were too difficult to safely remove the naval mines in actual combat, we would use our own bodies to clear a safe pathway for our (landing) forces,” Zuo Feng, a frogman with the PLA Navy’s minesweeper unit, said in a testimonial. Li Peng, a pilot from Wang Hai Squadron under the PLA Air Force, echoed his statement, saying his “fighter jet would be the last missile rushing towards the enemy if in a real battle, I had used up all my ammunition.” Do you think that most U.S. soldiers have that same level of devotion in this day and age? Ultimately, the U.S. military could find itself fighting both Russia and China at the same time, and that is why an incident that just occurred off the coast of Alaska is so chilling… Eleven military vessels from China and Russia found operating near the Aleutian Islands last week were met by four U.S. Navy destroyers, Alaska’s two U.S. senators said. The two Republican senators, Dan Sullivan and Lisa Murkowski, issued a joint news release Saturday night saying they had been briefed about the operation. “We have been in close contact with leadership from Alaska Command for several days now and received detailed classified briefings about the foreign vessels,” Murkowski said. The Biden administration has been endlessly provoking the Russians and the Chinese, and this has just driven them into each other’s arms. Before I end this article, I should also mention the North Koreans as well, because they just threatened to “annihilate” us before the end of this century… North Korea’s Foreign Ministry this week vowed that the country would “annihilate” the United States, adding that the U.S. would be terminated this century. “Should the U.S. choose to offend our Republic, we will annihilate them by using all our military power that we have gathered so far,” the North Korean diplomats said in a statement Thursday, the 70th anniversary of the Korean War armistice. “The Korean War in the last century marked the beginning of the downfall of the U.S. Now, the 21st century would see the irrevocable termination of the U.S. The rulers of the U.S. are well advised to forget, on no account, the lessons of history.” We are certainly living during a time of “wars and rumors of wars”, and I am entirely convinced that 2024 is going to be such an important turning point. If the American people truly understood the horrors that the coming wars will cause, there would be millions of people protesting in the streets right now. But they don’t. Most of us just assume that our leaders know exactly what they are doing and have everything under control. Unfortunately, the exact opposite is actually true. We are steamrolling toward global conflict, and most global leaders do not even seem interested in talking about peace at this stage. So the unthinkable is rapidly approaching, and most people will be absolutely blindsided by the nightmarish events that are about to unfold on our planet. Prophecy Update Videos Must Watch Videos! But it didn't stop there: as WND reported, on July 13 Chase also shut down the accounts of Mercola Market's CEO, CFO and even those of their respective spouses and children. Chase gave one employee some more time to find a new bank because shutting down her account disrupted her ability to provide care for her bedridden husband with dementia. "This is just not fair at all. She has nothing to do with this!" he said in an interview. Now the victimized doctor who "triggered" pro-COVID-vaccine progressives is warning that the "social credit system" - exemplified by Communist China, which monitors and controls people through digitized money - is already here, and now threatens everyone. "What we're seeing is the weaponization of finance, where people whose views or actions go against the official narrative are cut off from basic financial services," Mercola said in an extended tweet ("X") Monday. "This is the social credit system at work and, soon, it will be used against everyone." "The debanking of employees and their families is a social credit system tactic to make people start policing each other by punishing associations. This creates discord and distrust, and forces people to turn on each other for self-preservation," he wrote, adding that, ironically, Chase had no problem banking with now-deceased "notorious pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein": In the video interview with Del Bigtree posted on his new Substack page, Mercola urged people to "get out of the big banks." He writes he his taking his case against Chase to Florida's attorney general to test a new law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis that "prohibits financial institutions from denying or canceling services based on political or religious beliefs." "Essentially, we're the test case to determine whether the governor's new law has teeth or not," he writes. "This law has never been invoked before, so there's no procedure in place to enforce it. We're hoping the attorney general will sort that out." Mercola told Bigtree he is now pursuing a banking relationship with Old Glory Bank, created by conservatives like country star John Rich and GOP presidential candidate and longtime WND columnist Larry Elder as a haven for patriotic conservatives. Old Glory states: "We are the bank for Middle Americans who hold tight to their beliefs of liberty, faith, family, security, privacy, and love of country, with a deep appreciation of the military and law and order." In a statement provided to Florida's Voice, Chase said the Mercola-affiliated accounts weren't closed for political "affiliations," telling FV: "For privacy reasons, we can't discuss customer relationships, but we don't close accounts because of political affiliations, and we didn't do so in this case." But that claim might be tough to swallow for conservatives who are seeing a disturbing trend of intolerance and left-wing activism at banks such as Chase, which is hardly new to the "woke" cancellation game. The bank has become a leader among financial corporations in punishing conservatives. Another Chase victim is the National Committee for Religious Freedom, led by Sam Brownback, former Kansas governor, U.S. senator and religious freedom ambassador under Trump. "In May 2022, three weeks after opening the account, JPMorgan Chase closed it," reported Daily Signal. "Brownback, along with other conservative organizations, raised the question of whether the move was done for religious or political reasons. JPMorgan has said it had nothing to do with political or religious views and said the decision was made because, under federal laws, it needed more information about donors and recipients than the nonprofit provided." Then the banking giant tried to quash two shareholder resolution related to the account closure before urging a "no" vote to investigate potential anti-religious discrimination at Chase. Pro-Trump pundit, podcaster and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza is also among the victims of "wrongthink," recalling in a 2021 video how he was pulled aside by a Chase banker and told his Chase credit card was getting canceled for no reason of financial misconduct. "Because of the ideology of woke corporations, it's forcing conservatives and Republicans - in the normal course of life ... - to find their own outlets, in a sense to create their own alternative universe," D'Souza said in the video podcast, below. "And what that means is, if we can't bank with the woke banks, we have to bank somewhere else, and create our own banks. ... The bottom line of it is we sort of have to create, you might almost say, a politically segregated world." In the U.K., Brexit champion and conservative leader Nigel Farage faced the same sort of issue but the viewpoint discrimination he experienced ultimately helped topple a bank executive. Now a report from the Mail on Sunday revealed that banks are on pace to set a record number of closures this year, with 200,000 accounts having already been closed since the start of the year, This puts the banks on pace to top the number seen last year, which stood at 343,350, a Freedom of Information request to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) revealed. In total, nearly one million accounts have been closed over the past four years, alone. However, the paper noted that this figure may be underestimating the true scale of account closures, given that it only reflects accounts closed over concerns of financial crimes, and therefore would not include cases like that of Nigel Farage, who had his Coutts account shut because the bankers determined that he did "not align" with the bank's values. In response to the Farage revelations, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's government is preparing legislation to be introduced in the autumn that would mandate that banks give at least a 90-day warning to customers before their accounts are closed and provide a reason for the decision, except for instances when doing so would hinder a police investigation. However, others have called on the government to go further, with the founder of the campaign group Fairer Finance telling the MoS: "I think the legislation should go further and limit banks to closing accounts only when there is clear evidence of criminal activity." There have also been suggestions that the government may require banks to pledge to protect the principle of freedom of expression or face having their licence to lend in Britain revoked. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Mr Farage also revealed that the banking group at the heart of his debanking scandal, NatWest, is preparing to introduce new restrictions on customer's ability to use cash. "From September the 11th, NatWest will be limiting cash that you can deposit and cash that you can take out and they keep the absolute right to refuse cash. They even keep the right to refuse checks, basically, they want everything to be electronic," he revealed on his YouTube channel on Sunday evening. The attack on the ability to use cash is not only happening in the UK. In Australia, for example, banks such as ANZ and NAB recently announced that they would be banning cash withdrawals over the counter at some of their branches and that customers would need to specifically contact tellers ahead of time to schedule a physical withdrawal. Speaking to Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM radio last week, Mr Farage warned that with the rise of a cashless society, the West is at risk of having something akin to the Chinese social credit score being instituted through the banking system. "What we do know is the British clearing banks are now working with some of the credit agencies to put in place word checks on the social media accounts of their customers. You can see the direction... we are literally on the verge of this happening. So we really have to start shouting," Mr Farage said. We are told in the last days that one of the Antichrist's most powerful weapons of influence and control is the "mark of the beast' which will grant his government control over commercial transactions - no one can buy or sell without his mark. He’s Coming—Now What? – By Skip Heitzig - https://harbingersdaily.com/hes-coming-now-what/ At about four o’clock every afternoon, my mother used to say the same thing to me: “Your father will be home soon.” Those words were either very exciting to me or struck fear in my heart. If I was living well that day, I looked forward to seeing Dad. But if I was pushing my boundaries, it was more like, “Uh-oh.” Do you look forward to the future? Jesus is coming. Judgment is coming. A new heaven and a new earth are coming. Does that excite you? Or does it strike fear and dread in your heart? Today I want to look briefly at some of the last verses in the Bible, found in Revelation 22. At this point, the apostle John had written everything that needed to be said about the end times and Jesus’ return; what was left was the personal application of knowing that these things will come to pass. In other words, since Jesus could come back at any moment (see 1 Corinthians 1:7; 16:22; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10; 4:15-17; Titus 2:11-13), what should we do about it? Revelation 22 shows us five responses: walk, worship, witness, work, and willingness. First, we ought to have a walk that corresponds with the truth: “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps [pays attention to and obeys] the words of the prophecy of this book” (v. 7; see also vv. 9, 14). God gave us the book of Revelation so that we might walk in obedience to Him and live in the light of His coming. Knowing that He’s coming back should make us less temporal and more eternal in our perspective, our choices, and our relationships (see 2 Peter 3:10-12). The second response we should have is to worship. Read John’s response to hearing the truth in verses 8-9. He couldn’t help but worship! Let me ask you this: Can you hear about Jesus Christ vanquishing all the enemies of the earth and setting up an eternal kingdom and walk away from that not worshiping? When we read about what God has in store for us, how can we remain nonchalant? You’ll be worshiping the Lord for all eternity–are you preparing for that by worshiping Him now “in spirit and truth” (John 4:23)? The third response is to witness: “And [the angel] said to me, ‘Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand'” (v. 10). In other words, “The message that I gave you, as wild as it is, is not to be hidden. It’s to be heralded.” Prophecy will motivate you not only toward godly living but also toward godly witnessing. How can you read about the tribulation, hell, and judgment and not be moved to share the truth with people? The receiver of the gospel must also be a transmitter of the gospel. The fourth response is to work: “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work” (v. 12). You’re not saved by works, but in heaven, you will be rewarded based on what you’re doing for Jesus Christ now (see 2 Corinthians 5:10). How much of your time and talent do you spend serving Him? Today is the day of opportunity. Let’s work now while we have time. The fifth and final response is actually an invitation to the unbeliever, if they’re willing: “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (v. 17). If you haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can come right now and drink of His free, refreshing, eternal springs of water. Prophecy–particularly the book of Revelation–reveals that a new world awaits us. Jesus Himself said, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). He’s preparing it right now, and one day He’ll come back and take you there (see John 14:3). Are you ready for Him? Do you look forward to His coming? Daily Jot: The Sin of Human Trafficking - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com With the movie “Sound of Freedom” amplifying the horrors of human trafficking, Americans are faced with a huge dilemma: America is among the worst nations partaking in human trafficking, including sex trafficking on minor children, and now there is no excuse to look the other way. It is time to hold the federal government accountable to proliferating this sin upon children and conveying it unto a nation where good and moral people are repulsed by it. Joe Biden’s open border policy is massively contributing to human trafficking while at the same time hiding behind rhetoric that supports ending human trafficking. Actions, in this case, speak louder than words. Our government is complicit. A July 14 Epoch Times story revealed that the Department of Justice (DOJ) removed sections of its website relating to child sex trafficking and how US minors, yes kids right here in the US, were being recruited and exploited in the commercial sex industry. Epoch Times reported: “The updated version of the webpage completely erased all three sections, which were added during President Donald Trump’s tenure on May 28, 2020, to counsel Americans about tactics that are being used by pimps and human traffickers targeting vulnerable children and luring them into prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation using psychological manipulation.” The site was updated without fanfare in mid-May. Think about that—three years after the Trump Administration had posted it. In a July 11 Twitter post, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) stated: “The DOJ specifically deleted a section that implicated the Biden Administration’s open-border policies in correlation to the sex trafficking of children. The deleted portion read, “One form of sex trafficking involved the cross-border transportation of children. In these situations, traffickers recruit and transfer children across international borders in order to sexually exploit them in another country…DOJ’s blatant move to distance Joe Biden’s harmful policies from the global crime of sex trafficking should be no surprise to any of us who have seen the blatant sexualization and abuse of children this administration is comfortable with promoting.” Customs and Border Protection data indicates that some 345,000 minors have come across the US border unaccompanied since Biden took office. Couple this with the over-the-top obsession of this Administration and many of its supporters to allow the LGBTQ+ community to continue confusing and recruiting children in government schools, and this Administration is no less than perverse. Christ said in Luke 17:2, “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” We are not ignorant of the sins of human trafficking and child sexual predation supported by this government. The mind is command central. That’s why we need to think about things that please the Holy Spirit. And it’s why we need to protect our minds. It comes down to what we think about. As British author Samuel Smiles pointed out, “Sow a thought, and you reap an act; sow an act, and you reap a habit; sow a habit, and you reap a character; sow a character, and you reap a destiny.” Writing to the Christians in Rome, the apostle Paul said, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God” (Romans 8:14 NLT). God wants to lead us as His children. Paul continued, “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’ For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children” (verses 15–16 NLT). Remember, you’re adopted by God. You’re loved by God and welcomed by God. And your life is under His control. So, think about these things because they please the Holy Spirit. We can be devastated by worry and forget these simple truths. That’s why we need to remind ourselves of them again and again. The opposite of living a Spirit-filled life is living a worldly one. Paul put it this way: “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things” (verse 5 NLT). This describes people who only think about satisfying their impulses and the appetites of their flesh, but they never think about spiritual things. Paul went on to say, “But those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit” (verse 5 NLT). Don’t pursue the things of this world at the expense of pursuing God. Make Him the focus of your life.
