Churches That Deny Israel’s Glorious Future Erode The Integrity Of Scripture – By Jonathan Brentner - https://harbingersdaily.com/churches-that-deny-israels-glorious-future-erode-the-integrity-of-scripture/
It seems totally harmless to most Christians. Many pastors who promote it also adhere to the Gospel of grace; they preach Jesus as the only way to Heaven. The danger that I’m referring to is the belief that God rejected Israel after Jesus’ crucifixion and replaced the nation with the church (referred to as Replacement Theology), which is immensely popular in churches today. However, not only does this teaching present a false view of our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:11-14), it also undermines the integrity of Scripture and thereby endangers the purity of the Gospel. Churches with a long history of denying a future restored kingdom for Israel are most often those that today promote Wokeism and proclaim the tenants of cancel culture rather than the saving message of the cross. In the sections below, I explore three factors that historically led to the false belief that the church is now God’s kingdom on earth. These underpinnings of Replacement Theology remain in place today and help us understand why it’s anything but a harmless teaching. ANTI-SEMITISM I encountered anti-Semitism in a prophecy class that I taught several years ago. The man who vigorously opposed my teaching held to a popular variation of Replacement Theology called Preterism, which teaches that Jesus returned to earth in AD 70 and fulfilled most, if not all, of future prophecy in the Bible. It was not until the end of the class that I discovered his hatred of the Jewish people lay at the root of his heretical beliefs. Anti-Semitism was a key factor in Augustine’s amillennialism (Replacement Theology), and it also explains why the Reformers did not extend their literal interpretation of God’s Word to passages that teach the future restoration of a kingdom for Israel. Both Calvin and Luther continued the anti-Semitism that dominated the church during the Dark Ages. Historically, such racism has fueled the denial of a restored kingdom for Israel. The resurgence of this teaching during the past few decades explains, at least in part, the increase of animosity toward the nation of Israel and the Jewish people within mainline denominations and also in many evangelical churches. THE BIBLICAL RESPONSE: GOD IS NOT FINISHED WITH ISRAEL First of all, the Promised Land still belongs to Israel and to no one else. Psalm 105:8-11 tells us that God’s covenant with the Patriarchs regarding the Land is an “everlasting covenant.” Although Israel’s enjoyment of the land has always depended upon her obedience to the Lord, He unconditionally promised that the Land would always belong to them. We have not yet reached the end of “everlasting;” God’s covenant of the Land, which He made with the Patriarchs, remains in effect. Apart from retrofitting Old Testament prophecies that pertain to Israel’s restoration to fit with the presuppositions of Replacement Theology, one cannot read the words of prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Zephaniah, and Zechariah without recognizing the Lord’s clear intention to restore a glorious kingdom to Israel in the future. If the words of Scripture mean what they say, and they do, God will keep all His promises to the descendants of Jacob including that of giving them all the Land He promised to them. God’s Word is clear: God is not finished with Israel. He will restore a glorious kingdom to the nation just as He promised He would do. Those who deny this must resort to other means to explain away the clear biblical prophecies that support it. ALLEGORIZATION OF SCRIPTURE The allegorizing of biblical texts is the second of three factors that theologians use to support Replacement Theology. This is the applying of symbolical meanings to prophecies referring to Israel so that they align spiritually with the church and thus make it God’s kingdom. This practice began with Philo, an Alexandrian Jew who lived during the time of Christ. He admired Greek philosophy and much to the dismay of Rabbis he used allegory as a means to make the Old Testament more appealing to the Greeks. In the second century AD, Clement and Origen adopted Philo’s allegorical approach. Clement (AD 150-215) also “embraced Greek philosophy and maintained that Scripture must be understood allegorically so as not to contradict it.” Origen (AD 185-254) used allegory to make biblical prophecy comply with Plato’s dualism, which stated that only the spiritual, immaterial realm was good. Origen was also a universalist; he believed that God would save everyone through the means of reincarnation. He was regarded as a heretic in the ancient church. At the beginning of the fifth century AD, a much more capable theologian named Augustine affirmed Origen’s allegorical approach to biblical prophecy and steered the church away from its longtime premillennial footing in favor of amillennialism, i.e., the denial of Jesus’ Millennial rule as recorded in Revelation 20:1-10. During the dark ages, theologians extended Augustine’s allegorization of prophetic texts to many passages in the New Testament, which led to the contamination of the doctrine of justification by faith and the Gospel. Works became the basis of ones salvation rather than the finished work of Christ upon the cross. Allegory never remains confined to biblical passages dealing with prophecy; it always spreads. It always leads to further false teaching. THE BIBLICAL RESPONSE: WORDS MATTER Words matter in all of Scripture. Notice the words of the apostle Peter in 2 Peter 1:20-21, “. . . knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” Just as the prophets of old did not speak from their own understanding, in the same way we must not apply our own private “interpretations” to what they wrote; we must let the words speak for themselves. The Greek word for “spoke” in verse 21 is laleo. According to Trench in in his book Synonyms of the New Testament, the “prominent notion” of this verb is “the fact of uttering articulated speech. . . it is the words uttered, and that these correspond to reasonable thoughts . . . .” Biblical prophets, in both the Old and New Testament, expressed truths in words as God moved them through the Holy Spirit (see also 2 Tim. 3:16; Proverbs 2:6). God intended for the words to speak for themselves and not be overlaid with interpretations that come solely as the result of human wisdom. Yes, the biblical authors used symbolism and figures of speech, but they did so in a way that was clear. We must never veer from what the authors of biblical prophecy intended to communicate to us at the time they wrote. We are not free to interpret Scripture in a way that does not align with the words on the page. PLATONISM The practice of allegorizing Scripture began with the purpose of making Greek philosophy compatible with the Old Testament so that it would appeal to the Greeks who valued human wisdom. Origen used it to negate the physical blessings of the millennium so as to comply with the teachings of Plato, who taught that all matter was evil. Although Augustine claimed to disagree with Plato on most issues, he nevertheless incorporated the philosopher’s unbiblical scheme of reality into his theology. He stated that the Millennium “would not be objectionable” if somehow “the nature of the millennial kingdom was a ‘spiritual one’ rather than a physical one.” He objected to the thoughts of “carnal banquets,” which he visualized as a part of such a kingdom. Augustine’s basis for rejecting Jesus’ thousand-year reign over a restored Israel came from the teachings of Plato, not the Bible. John Calvin and Martin Luther also viewed the teachings of Plato with fondness. E. J. Hutchinson, in his article Calvin’s Plato, cited several of John Calvin’s references to Plato. He summarized his findings with these words, “In conclusion, Calvin makes regular use of Plato’s philosophy both in philosophical and in theological contexts. Far from being mere window-dressing, he often finds in Plato an argumentative ally against his contemporary opponents. Plato was, in other words, a living source of truth for Calvin.” Martin Luther, a former monk who belonged to the Augustinian Order, also did not distance himself from Augustine’s Platonism in regard to future things. Though not as evident as with John Calvin, Luther nevertheless had a high regard for Plato. Platonism remains an active force in Christianity. Does this explains why most pastors only briefly mention the resurrection of believers, if at all, and never refer to the “incorruptible” and glorious bodies we will receive at Jesus’ appearing (1 Corinthians 15:51-55; Philippians 3:20-21)? I believe it’s a factor. THE BIBLICAL RESPONSE: GOD CREATED THE MATERIAL WORLD The Bible absolutely refutes the teachings of Plato. Throughout Genesis 1, God made it abundantly clear that His creation of the material world was “good” in contrast to what the pagan philosopher taught. Consider the words of Psalm 16:11,“You make known to me the path of life; / in your presence there is fullness of joy; / at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Even as I type the words of this verse, I feel the platonic pull of the past suggesting to me that the meaning of “pleasures” is not really what it says. If the Lord says we will celebrate with a feast at the marriage supper of the lamb, why would anyone consider that carnal or sinful? That’s beyond ridiculous. Yet that’s precisely the way of thinking that became a key foundation for rejecting a literal interpretation of Revelation 20:1-10, as well as a multitude of verses in the Old Testament that speak to the future restoration of a glorious kingdom for Israel. The continuing influence of platonic thought can also be seen in the false interpretation of 1 Corinthians 15:51-55. In order to maintain the church as God’s kingdom on earth, some pastors claim this passage refers to what happens to us at the time of our regeneration rather than at the Rapture. Such a viewpoint contradicts both the context and the Gospel. THE DANGER TO THE GOSPEL Churches that deny a future glorious restoration for the nation of Israel set in motion an erosion of the integrity of Scripture that over time leads to grievous false teaching. It may not happen right away, but the allegorical approach to prophetic passages in God’s Word always bleeds into other texts and over time always leads to errors that threaten the purity of the Gospel. Count on it. Places of worship that adhere to Wokeism today more often than not have a long history of denying a future glorious kingdom for Israel. That’s why I say that all such teaching in its various forms represents a clear and present danger to the purity of the Gospel. Not immediately, but it happens without fail given enough time. Defending the promised future restoration of a glorious kingdom to Israel is in essence a defense of the saving message of Jesus. Pay By Palm Coming To Panera Bread - Another Step To Cashless Society – PNW staff - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5986 Amazon's palm-reading payment technology was first introduced at numerous Whole Foods locations in California, enabling customers to pay for their groceries by scanning their palms at checkout terminals rather than using cash or a card. Now Panera Bread is experimenting with Amazon's cashless payment system as the war on cash marches on. On Wednesday, Panera Bread announced plans to roll out a "contactless payment method" to several stores with additional locations in the coming months. The bakery-cafe chain has over 2,000 locations, and its loyalty program has 52 million members. "Panera is the first national restaurant company to use Amazon One as both a way for guests to pay and access their loyalty account with their palm," the company said. "Our philosophy has been centered around leveraging best-in-class technology to create a better Panera experience and using that to deepen our relationship with our loyal guests. Introducing Amazon One, as a frictionless, personalized, and convenient service, is another way we're redefining the loyalty experience," Niren Chaudhary, CEO of Panera Bread and Panera Brands, stated. At the moment, dozens of Whole Foods locations and Amazon Go stores have integrated Amazon One contactless payment. Customers can set up Amazon One by registering their palm print using a kiosk or at a point-of-sale station at participating stores. To register, you need to provide a payment card and phone number, agree to Amazon's terms of service, and share an image of your palms. Once completed, you can take items to checkout and not have to take out your wallet -- or even your phone. A hover of your hand over the device is all that's needed to pay and leave. Amazon has said it hopes to sell the palm-scanning technology to other companies like retailers, stadiums and office buildings. Amazon says it is in "active discussions with several potential customers." The company says thousands of people have already signed up to use it at Amazon stores. By summer, Panera Bread might have at least two dozen stores equipped with Amazon's contactless payment system, as reported by Panera's Chief Digital Officer George Hanson in an interview with CNBC. "We think the payment plus loyalty identification is the secret sauce that can unlock a really personalized, warm and efficient experience for our guests in our cafes," Hanson said. The adoption of contactless payment systems by corporate giants like Amazon and Panera Bread, both known for their massive loyalty programs, seems to signal a shift towards a cashless society where a customer's body is becoming a transactional tool. If Amazon's use of palm prints for identification and payment systems sounds like something you have read in the Book of Revelation you are correct. The Book of Revelation warns that during the Tribulation every person will be required to accept a mark in their right hand or forehead which will be necessary for commerce. "And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark -- the name of the beast or the number of its name. Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred sixty-six". Revelation 13:16-18 Many Christians are concerned that acceptance of such technology is conditioning people for when the actual 'mark of the beast" is implemented. What often starts off as voluntary can just as easily become mandatory and whereas tech itself may be neutral, in the hands of the wrong person it could be extremely dangerous. Imagine the technology of today in the hands of Hitler. There are also growing fears that an economic collapse and "reset" could bring about an era of forced digital cash that would be necessary to conduct commerce. Combine such new technologies as pay by palm for commerce with biometric ID cards and you have a very coercive system that the government and future Antichrist could use to control the masses. Christians have long debated the meaning of the "mark of the beast". It still remains to be seen if the mark will be digital tattoos, microchips under the skin or some other form of biometric payment using the hand such as Amazon Pay, but there is no denying it, our generation appears to be the first in history to have the technology and now cultural conditioning to fulfill this prophecy. Delaying Digital Demonomics – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2023/03/27/delaying-digital-demonomics/ Florida Governor Ron DeSantis seems to be the lone politician/leader of significance who sees clearly through the smog and fog of deception in the issue of digital demonomics. He has called on the Florida legislature to prohibit federal digital impositions upon the citizens of his state. “The Biden administration’s efforts to inject a Centralized Bank Digital Currency is about surveillance and control,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. He continued: Today’s announcement will protect Florida consumers and businesses from the reckless adoption of a “centralized digital dollar” which will stifle innovation and promote government-sanctioned surveillance. Florida will not side with economic central planners; we will not adopt policies that threaten personal economic freedom and security. The state’s chief financial officer, Jimmy Patronis, expanded on his governor’s assessment of the proposed digital dollar matters: Governor DeSantis is ahead of the curve when it comes to protecting individual rights. A Central Bank Digital Currency is the cornerstone of a federal government that could track each and every transaction that happens in the world. There would be no privacy, and if there is no privacy, there are no rights. In the same way Florida is fighting back against the IRS, we need to fight back against this program. It’s how we protect freedom, liberty, and prosperity. Some years ago, some top people of economic/financial acumen—such as G. Edward Griffin—were concerned, kind, and generous enough to condescend to my request (I am woefully inadequate to dealing with such stratospherics of thought) to contribute chapters to our book, Demonomics: Satan’s Economy and Your Future. I remain thankful to the Lord and grateful to each of those contributors. These financial experts laid out the way things were trending that would lead to tyrannical control by the globalists elite. At the time of book’s release, things were well on the way to prove their predictions accurate, right down to the details of the coming transformation of America, the singular nation with the most profound influence on global monetary matters. The one thing I might have somewhat contributed to the book (and I must give Todd Strandberg credit for the idea) was the title. The word “demonomics” accurately frames this world system of evil. The love of money is indeed the root of all kinds of demonically inspired evil. In that book, I wrote: Like it or not, believe it or not, you and I are being swept along by the tide of human history toward something profoundly ominous. Hourly news accounts, no matter how much they’ve been doctored to try to present a recovering national and global economic picture, engender fearful concerns about things to come… History is replete with attempts to reshape national and even global economic realities. Money equals power and power exerts control upon this fallen planet. Power is the ultimate endgame of all who seek it for themselves. Henry Kissinger put it this way: “Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.” The declaration can be understood in recalling the most ancient of accounts of an infamous personality seeking the greatest of all power: “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” (Isaiah 14:13–14) Man’s determination to do the same—acquire the power to which the angel named Lucifer aspired—hasn’t changed since the serpent first told Eve that she and Adam would be like God if they ate from the fruit of the forbidden tree (see Genesis 3:5). Following the serpent’s trail of power madness to a later time recorded in the Bible, Nimrod was the would-be one-world-order builder of his day, following the Great Flood of Noah’s time. He, like every megolomaniac since, lusted for God-like power. Since the publishing of that book, we have watched the voracious appetites of those determined to be the neo-Tower of Babel builders. Their blueprint to follow Satan’s prideful plunge into perdition says it all: Build back better! The following is also from a chapter in Demonomics. I hope it describes why things have developed to this point in 2023 and how God will deal in restraint until His judgment and wrath must fall, as described in the “days of Lot” prophecy by the Lord Jesus recorded in Luke 17:28–30: Such is the way of man, fallen since the moment of rebellion in the Garden of Eden. Humankind has been determined to do things that seem right in their own eyes. The sin-cursed mindset will continue until the catastrophic second when God must end the rebellion as He first had to do when He destroyed all but Noah and his family in the world-wide Flood. We are told this in the following prophecy given by the psalmist. “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. “Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” (Psalms 2:1–11) History Repeating The Psalms 2 prophecy is in full sail toward the point at which God will put an end to the power madness of His sin-sick creation called man. The God of Heaven will send the Son of Man—Jesus Christ—to intervene catastrophically in the insanity we are witnessing through today’s headlines. Man’s lust for power continues to grow; he has not learned the lessons of the past because, as a whole, he regards the Word of God as irrelevant to the governance of the earth. One philosopher of renown [George Santayana] put it this way: “He who does not remember history is condemned to repeat it.” The corruption that God saw and condemned in antediluvian times, which caused Him to destroy all upon the earth except eight people, has again reached a dangerous level. Dictators prove the truth of another bit of philosophical wisdom [by Lord Edward Acton]: “All power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” We have only to consider the dictators of most recent times to know that lust for power and love of money are locked together in the tyrannical determination to enslave people around the world… Satan’s economy is being shaped before the eyes and ears of all who will pay attention. But, most of the world—even here in America where the free flow of information is unprecedented in history—is paying scant attention to the true nature of unfolding issues and events. All is moving toward a predestined finale, according to God’s Word. The grand maestro orchestrating the end-of-days global economic order is none other than the serpent that started it all with his seduction of Eve as recorded in Genesis chapter 3… Satan is working behind the scenes with supernatural cunning to create chaos within the economies of the world. His intention is to bring about panic at a level that will incite universal demand for new world financial order. That new economic global order can’t be achieved as long as sovereign national monetary systems exist. Here is Satan’s endgame in a scriptural nutshell: “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (Revelation 13:16–18) Somehow, all nations—all peoples—must come under the 666 system of numbers and marks. This will happen because God’s Word says so. He cannot lie. It will be a totally different economic regime from any on earth today. But, one can sense that the instrumentalities already exist to implement and administrate such a regime. Satellites, computers, and electronic/biological chip devices come to mind, for starters. The fiat money of the Antichrist will almost certainly be electronic in nature—an electronic funds transfer (EFT) system along the lines of the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) utilized in financial institution money exchanges today. I personally believe it will be a hybrid Internet system in conjunction with EFT that will give Antichrist the tyrannical control after which Satan lusts. He wants to be worshiped; that is his endgame. He will force all within his reach to do so, and he will use control of economy to accomplish that. Those who wield the power at the top of the present world economic system will never agree easily to give up their authority. Nations won’t voluntarily surrender governmental or monetary sovereignty. It will require a crisis of unprecedented magnitude to cause fear sufficient to convince the powers that be to bow the knee to the prophesied Beast described in Revelation 13. My own belief is that it will be the Rapture of the church that will provide that crisis. Despite the obvious efforts to bring in Satan’s demonic plan through central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), God continues to restrain, as promised in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. But the devil hasn’t relented in his determination to lift himself through his son of perdition, Antichrist, and cause all to worship through the 666 marks-and-numbers system of Revelation 13:16–18. You don’t want to be here when the Church is called into Heaven and the worst times in human history begin to unfold on earth for those left behind. Here is how to make sure you will be instantaneously safely in the loving presence of Jesus when He says “Come up here!”: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10) The Real Reason China is Arming Russia in Ukraine - by Con Coughlin - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/19527/china-arming-russia For all Chinese President Xi Jinping's declarations of support for Russia during his state visit to Moscow, China's real motive in seeking closer ties is evidently to exploit the Ukraine conflict to test its military firepower. Just as Iran has used Ukraine's brutal war to test the effectiveness of its drone and missile technology, so China's emerging industrial-military complex is reportedly looking for opportunities to conduct a rigorous evaluation of its new weapons systems; Chinese arms manufacturers are reportedly keen to test the effectiveness of their new weapons systems in Ukraine. A year after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, Russia's military, having lost an estimated 200,000 men and around 90 percent of its heavy armor, including around 50 percent of its pre-invasion tank fleet, finds itself in a dire predicament. The scale of the losses has forced the Russians to pull 1950s-era T-54 and T-55 tanks out of storage for use in the Ukrainian conflict, a clear sign that Russian forces are suffering a serious shortage of heavy armor. These chronic shortages in both men and equipment help to explain why Russian commanders are struggling to hold on to the territory Russian forces have illegally annexed in Ukraine, let alone mount fresh offensives against the Ukrainian defenders. If Russian forces are to make any headway this year, they will need significant supplies of weapons from other nations, as Russia's corrupt defence industry is proving incapable of providing replacement weapons and equipment at the levels required by the Russian military. This would explain why Russia has made repeated requests for China to supply arms to support its military campaign in Ukraine. So far, Beijing's official position is that it is only prepared to provide Moscow with non-lethal aid, such as helmets and dual-use items such as aircraft parts. US officials, though, say they have intelligence showing that China is actively considering whether to supply Russia with weapons, as it has been doing since day one. The German magazine Der Spiegel reported in February that the Russian military was engaged in negotiations with Chinese drone manufacturer Xi'an Bingo Intelligent Aviation Technology over the mass production of kamikaze drones for Russia. Russia has been using Iranian-made drones to carry out attacks against Ukraine's infrastructure and other targets, and the supply of Chinese drones, which reports say are due to be delivered to the Russian Defence Ministry next month, would enable the Russians to deliver warheads weighing between 35 and 50 kilograms. Russian forces in Ukraine have already been using Chinese-made commercial drones, supplied by China-based Da-Jiang Innovations Science & Technology Co., known as DJI, according to an analysis of customs records, while others are transported through the United Arab Emirates. The supply of Chinese-made military drones to Russia would, obviously, greatly enhance the offensive capabilities of Russian forces. Western intelligence officials believe the prospect of Beijing increasing its military support for Ukraine has risen considerably following Xi's summit with Putin in Moscow this month. China's People's Liberation Army is in the midst of a massive military build-up, outspokenly aimed at making China the world's dominant military power by the middle of the century. Global defense spending fell by 1.7 percent in 2021, and the US defence budget for 2024, with a supposed increase of 3.2 percent, after factoring in an inflation of 6 percent, is actually a net cut. Meanwhile, Chinese defence spending grew by 5.1 percent to $293 billion. As part of its military build-up, which began in 2013, Beijing is aiming to integrate artificial intelligence in its command and control structures by 2035. In addition it is investing heavily in new fleets of warships and warplanes. China's recent advances in advanced weaponry such as missiles and guided weapons is a particular concern for the West. Chinese defence firms now rank as some of the biggest in the world, reversing the situation whereby, only a decade ago, Beijing was relying on Russia for its arms supplies, having signed a $7 billion arms deal with Moscow as recently as 2015. Now the tables have turned. Xi, who recently secured his third five-year-term as president, makes no secret of his desire to re-establish Beijing's control over Taiwan. The general consensus among Western security officials being that he will attempt to reclaim Taiwan by the end of the decade at the latest. The Chinese military is said to be actively preparing to launch a military offensive to capture Taiwan, most likely before or during the US presidential election in November 2024, while the US is still under the administration of President Joe Biden, regarded worldwide as stunningly weak (such as here, here, and here), and while the country is likely to be distracted. Biden's repeated statements that he seeks "competition not conflict" with China, and that "We don't want a conflict" with Russia, can only be viewed as pleas not to escalate, rather than as a thundering deterrence. According to recent comments made by CIA Director William Burns, Beijing aims to be conflict-ready by 2027. This is certainly the message Xi relayed to China's military chiefs during a visit to the country's operational command centre at the end of last year when he warned "the entire military must... concentrate all energy on fighting a war, direct all work toward warfare and speed up to build the ability to win." Daily Jot: Experts divided on sharp decrease in US life expectancy - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com National Public Radio carried a story March 25 saying that life expectancy in the United States is declining at an alarming rate compared to other “wealthy” countries. Researchers for the Journal of the American Medical Association, the National Academy of Science, funded by the National Institutes of Health are all decrying how the US life expectancy is lower than that of Cuba, Lebanon and Czechia. They talk about how American children are less likely to live to age five than children in other countries and that people are being killed in the US before age 50—pointing to teen pregnancy, drug overdoses, HIV, fatal car crashes, injuries, and violence—they specifically stated semi-automatic weapons and mass shootings. In typical fashion, the researchers seemed to discount the leading cause of death, heart disease, and focus on social aspects—lack of universal healthcare, gun ownership, racial disparities, etc. One researcher said that “Two years difference in life expectancy probably comes from the fact that firearms are so available in the United States.” This is an erroneous assumption. The Department of Justice documents approximately 9,000 gun-related deaths per year in the US. Drunk driving kills over 10,000 people a year. The Centers for Disease Control reports the five leading causes of death in the US are: Heart disease: 695,547; Cancer: 605,213; COVID-19: 416,893; Accidents (unintentional injuries): 224,935; and Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 162,890. It’s difficult to meet the straight face test in saying guns and driving cause the life expectancy to be lowered, especially when there were over 416,000 deaths attributed to COVID. And we are seeing empirical evidence that COVID vaccines, having been thrust onto the US population by government, media, and drug company fear mongering, could be causing American life expectancy to tank. For example, statistics analyzed by Steve Kirsch—who the government, media, and drug companies label as a provider of COVID misinformation—indicate that among the COVID-vaxed aged 65 and younger, sudden death was the leading cause of death in 2021 and 2022, followed by cardiac-related death and cancer. Myocarditis killed more than COVID-19. This is not misinformation. It’s confirmed by CDC’s own statistics as well as insurance actuaries, documenting a 40% mortality spike in working aged men and women. Instead of trying to make people believe that woke agenda items like driving gas-powered cars, owning guns, racial disparities, or not having socialist healthcare (which socialist healthcare in the US is the cause of many deaths and poor health), let’s look at the actual causes of death and be truthful about them. The numbers would show that there was a steep increase in the US death rate in just the last two years that has contributed to the decline in life expectancy. COVID treatments and vaccines were and are a major contributor. Colossians 2:8 says, “Beware lest anyone take you captive through philosophy and empty deceit.” Don’t let these people take you captive with their half-truths and lies. Sources: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm Daily Devotion: Understanding the Justice of God - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. —Matthew 20:28 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/understanding-the-justice-of-god/ - Listen Why the cross? Why didn’t God simply say, “Look, everyone, I know you have sinned against Me, but I am going to pardon you right now. It’s okay. I forgive all of you!” God didn’t do that because it doesn’t work with His nature and character. The justice of God requires obedience and sacrifice. He could not accept us into fellowship with Himself unless we paid the penalty—or someone paid it on our behalf. Romans 3:25 tells us, “For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past” (NLT). The cross demonstrates the justice of God. At the cross of Calvary, the love and justice of God met. Yes, God had to satisfy His justice. The Scriptures say, “The person who sins is the one who will die” (Ezekiel 18:20 NLT), “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23 NLT), and “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22 NLT). God was saying, “My righteous requirements must be met. But I love humanity, and there is no way they can do it on their own. So, I must help them.” Therefore, He sent Jesus to bridge the gap. This is why Jesus Christ is the only way to God. People like to say that all roads lead to God. It really concerns me when I hear Christians parrot statements to that effect. There is only one path. There is only one way. If that were not true, then why did Jesus have to die? If all roads lead to God, then why did Jesus go through the anguish, torture, and pain of the cross? The primary reason Jesus came to this earth was to die for our sins. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious.
