Biden’s hasty exit sends the message that America is not a reliable ally; it dooms thousands of Afghan soldiers to death that helped the U.S.; it dooms Afghan women to second class citizenship, covering their face, etc.; it dooms Afghan girls to forced marriages, no education, etc.; it dooms Afghan boys to brainwashing, very little education, etc.; it dooms Afghan men to beatings, amputation of limbs, etc.; and it dooms the Christians to convert to Islam or be executed. Thousands of Americans were injured or killed in Afghanistan, and Biden squandered everything America accomplished in a matter of hours. Update One: On Aug. 16, 2021, it was reported that French Pres. Macron was advised to call an emergency meeting of the EU Council because “the security of the world” is in danger. Some EU leaders say an Islamic Caliphate in Afghanistan will be a serious threat to the western world. Update Two: On Aug. 16, 2021, an editorial in a Chinese-affiliated newspaper declared that war will break out between China and Taiwan, and the U.S. will not help Taiwan. Amir Tsarfati said China, Russia, and Iran are declaring that the post-American world order is over, and he believes that Russia and Iran no longer believe the U.S. will help Israel if they decide to launch an attack. Update Three: On Aug. 17, 2021, it was reported that China has been emboldened by America’s apparent weakness, and her military is already preparing to practice an attack on Taiwan. Update Four: On Aug. 17, 2021, it was reported that the Taliban is already sending letters to house churches saying, “We know who you are, and we’re coming for you.” The Antichrist will use beheadings as a terror tactic, and the Taliban does that too. Here are some of my afterthoughts on Biden’s Afghan debacle.
Here are some more reasons to believe that the Rapture is close. One, deceit and lying have existed at least since God created Adam and Eve, but it will be common practice at the end of the age. What could be more deceitful than deliberately spreading Covid-19 and blaming it on the unvaccinated? Could it be internment camps to deliberately incarcerate the falsely accused unvaccinated? This writer has seen several reports lately that the CDC is planning to have incarceration camps in every U.S. city. Several sources have reported that on Aug. 6, 2021, TN Gov. Mike Lee signed an executive order authorizing the National Guard to seize unvaccinated people for incarceration. Natural News reported that it has information that the CDC has been working with the University of Chicago to develop a plan to call homes in an effort to determine if there are any children between 6 months and 17 years in the home that have not been vaccinated. The activation of incarceration camps in every U.S. city and perhaps a phone call to every household is very troubling. It has also been reported that starting this month in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, people will not be allowed into restaurants, theaters, and several other venues without proof of vaccination. This writer is far from knowledgeable on Covid-19 and the mutations or variants, but this is some of what I have read and the way I understand it:
Here is a repeat from my last week’s article with the addition of one sentence: we are seeing the global development and advancement of technology and policies that many excellent Bible prophecy teachers believe will lead to the Mark of the Beast (forced compliance, loss of one’s job, development of passports or passes, a demand for government databases to track people, a demand to prevent the unvaccinated from entering stores to buy or sell, the spread of anti-Christian rhetoric, etc.). Vladimir Putin said the scale of natural disasters (floods, droughts, and forest fires) that have hit Russia this year is “absolutely unprecedented.” According to the article, “Russian weather officials and environmentalists have linked the increasing intensity of Siberia’s annual fires to climate change.” More:
Four, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: on Aug. 13, 2021, Monte Judah (Messianic World Update) said, “It is very clear that the IDF and the government of Israel is planning to attack Iran soon to stop the nuclear weapons program. Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz told ambassadors from countries on the United Nations Security Council during a briefing at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem on August 4, 2021: "Iran has violated all of the guidelines set in the JCPOA and is only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon... Now is the time for deeds – words are not enough. It is time for diplomatic, economic and even military deeds, otherwise the attacks will continue." The Biden administration has been insisting on reviving the disastrous Obama nuclear deal and the theocratic establishment of Iran has evidently seen this as a perfect opportunity to buy time and inch closer to acquiring nuclear weapons. The Biden administration first showed its desperation by making it clear to the Iranian leaders that the US wanted to return to the nuclear deal and was willing to lift all sanctions re-imposed by the Trump administration. As nuclear talks began, the Iranian regime began advancing its nuclear program at a faster pace as the negotiations went on. The Biden administration not only remained silent in the face of Iran's violations, it also started offering even more concessions to the mullahs. The Biden administration, for instance, announced not only that it was willing to lift nuclear-related sanctions, but also that it was considering lifting non-nuclear related sanctions. Iran first began increasing uranium enrichment to 20% in January 2021. On January 9, the Iranian parliament passed a law requiring the government to expel the International Atomic Energy Agency's nuclear inspectors. In April, the regime raised its uranium enrichment level to 60%, edging closer to weapons-grade levels. While his government was holding indirect nuclear talks with the Biden administration, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, speaker of Iran's parliament, bragged: "The young and God-believing Iranian scientists managed to achieve a 60% enriched uranium product. I congratulate the brave nation of Islamic Iran on this success. The Iranian nation's willpower is miraculous and can defuse any conspiracy." On July 6, while the Geneva nuclear talks were ongoing, the regime began producing enriched uranium metal. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN nuclear watchdog group, warned: "Today, Iran informed the Agency that UO2 (uranium oxide) enriched up to 20 percent U-235 would be shipped to the R&D laboratory at the Fuel Fabrication Plant in Esfahan, where it would be converted to UF4 (uranium tetrafluoride) and then to uranium metal enriched to 20 percent U-235, before using it to manufacture the fuel." A joint statement issued by the UK, France and Germany agreed that the Iranian regime "has no credible civilian need for uranium metal R&D and production, which are a key step in the development of a nuclear weapon." The Biden administration, in addition, has made no efforts to pressure the Iranian regime into answering the International Atomic Energy Agency's questions about three undeclared clandestine nuclear sites found in Iran. IAEA Director General General Rafael Mariano Grossi stated: "Iran must decide to cooperate in a clearer manner with the agency to give the necessary clarifications. The fact that we found traces (of uranium) is very important. That means there is the possibility of nuclear activities and material that are not under international supervision and about which we know not the origin or the intent. That worries me." Grossi also warned: "The lack of progress in clarifying the agency's questions concerning the correctness and completeness of Iran's safeguards declarations seriously affects the ability of the agency to provide assurance of the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. For objectivity's sake, I should say that the Iranian government has reiterated its will to engage and to cooperate and to provide answers, but they haven't done that so far. So I hope this may change, but as we speak, we haven't had any concrete progress." It seems -- worryingly, especially after failures of both intelligence and planning in the Afghanistan debacle -- that the Biden administration is again standing idly by while the mullahs of Iran comfortably keep enriching uranium to acquire a nuclear weapons arsenal. We have seen what the ruling mullahs do to their own people and the region even before they have nuclear weapons. Just take a look at what the country called "the world's greatest sponsor of state terrorism" has already done both domestically to their own people, and internationally to Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian territories and even Venezuela and larger South America -- not to mention a recent deadly attack on a commercial oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. Just recently, someone in my local area was surprised when her appointment to get the windshield on her vehicle fixed was canceled because it wasn’t possible to get a replacement windshield. This was a windshield for a very common vehicle, and normally that wouldn’t be a problem at all. But these are not normal times. Thanks to several factors that I will detail in this article, global supply chains are now under more strain than we have ever seen in the post-World War II era, and unfortunately it appears that things are going to get even worse as we approach the holiday season. I know that most of you probably don’t want to hear that the shortages that we are experiencing now are going to get worse. So you may be tempted to stop reading this article now because you don’t want to see the bad news. But it is imperative that you understand what is ahead, and so I urge you to keep reading. Let’s take this one step at a time. Right now, local news outlets all over the country are doing stories about the shortages in their local areas. Here is one example… Have you recently gone to the grocery store and found some of the shelves empty? If so, you aren’t alone. Many people can’t find some of their favorite and essential items since the pandemic started. As that article points out, the stores are trying to order the products that they need. They just can’t get them. This is happening all across the United States, and as a result the inventory to sales ratio for U.S. retailers has been pushed to the lowest level on record… In April, May, and June, the inventory-sales ratio of around 1.08 – or about 33 days’ supply – was at the lowest point in the data going back to 1992. In the years before the pandemic, the overall ratio was around 1.5, providing 45 days of supply. So why is this happening? Well, the truth is that there are several contributing factors, and one of them is fear of COVID. When a single worker recently tested positive for COVID, China shut down one of the busiest port terminals in the entire world “indefinitely”… One of the world’s busiest ports partially closed this week after an employee tested positive for Covid-19. The closure raises fears of new disruptions to world trade that could slow the global economy’s recovery. Meishan, a key terminal at China’s Ningbo-Zhoushan port, closed indefinitely Wednesday after a 34-year old worker tested positive for Covid-19. A member of the board of the Ningbo Port Group Company—which operates the port—also resigned Wednesday, citing personal reasons, reported China’s Securities Daily. This wouldn’t be such a problem if we had not become so dependent on goods from China. Other nations are severely overreacting to outbreaks of COVID as well, and this is making it harder and harder to move goods around the world on an efficient basis. Another major factor that we are dealing with is a historic global shipping container shortage. The demand for shipping containers greatly exceeds the supply, and this has pushed global shipping container rates to levels we have never seen before. And once shipping containers are delivered to U.S. ports, there isn’t enough port workers to unload them all. It can now literally take months for products that are made in China to get to the U.S. retailers that originally ordered them. Of course if those products contain computer chips, they may never arrive at all. The global shortage of computer chips is deeply affecting thousands of other industries. For instance, it is being estimated that the global auto industry will produce 7.1 million fewer vehicles this year because of the chip shortage… VW’s main plant in Wolfsburg is only going to be running on its early shift after summer break due to the lack of supply, Bloomberg reported this morning. Its plant in Wolfsburg is the “world’s biggest car plant” and employs about 60,000 people. Audi is also pausing production temporarily, extending its summer break by one week, the report notes. Global shortages of semiconductors could wind up cutting worldwide production of autos this year by about 7.1 million vehicles, Bloomberg predicted this morning. Now we are moving into the holiday season, and many in the retail industry are anticipating a complete and utter disaster… Reuters surveyed nearly a dozen suppliers and retailers of everything from toys to computer equipment in the United States and Europe. All expect weeks-long delays in holiday inventory due to shipping bottlenecks, including a global container shortage and the recent COVID-related closure of the southern Chinese port of Yantian, which serves manufacturers near Shenzhen. One executive that was interviewed by Reuters said that we are heading for “a major, major mess”… “It’s going to be a major, major mess,” said Isaac Larian, chief executive of Los Angeles-based MGA Entertainment Inc, which sells LOL Surprise, Bratz, Little Tikes and other toy brands to Amazon, Walmart and Target. And another executive openly admitted that it is “too late” to save Christmas… “It’s too late for Christmas,” said Thompson, founder of Washington-based Plugable Technologies. This is what the immediate future of the U.S. economy looks like even if nothing else goes wrong. So what is going to happen if another major crisis suddenly erupts in the middle of all this? As inventories get tighter and tighter, prices are rising to compensate. One area that I am particularly interested in is the price of food. According to the FAO, the global price of food is 31 percent higher than it was a year ago… Whether at supermarkets, corner stores, or open-air markets, prices for food have been surging in much of the world, forcing families to make tough decisions about their diets. Meat is often the first to go, ceding space to less expensive proteins such as dairy, eggs, or beans. In some households, a glass of milk has become a luxury reserved only for children; fresh fruit, once deemed a necessity, is now a treat. Food prices in July were up 31% from the same month last year, according to an index compiled by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization. Have global paychecks risen 31 percent over the past year to keep up? No way. As a result, many are having a much harder time buying the food that they need and more people are going hungry. Needless to say, this is setting the stage for the sort of global crisis that I have been warning about. There was so much optimism during the first half of 2021, but now everyone is starting to realize which way all the needles are pointing. Very choppy seas are ahead, and those at the helm do not seem to know what they are doing. With Biden's sudden withdrawal from Afghanistan, you might think that is the reason for the resettlement aspects of these listings...except they appeared BEFORE the withdrawal. What does an Internment/Resettlement Specialist do? According to the National Guard website: OVERVIEW Internment/resettlement specialists are primarily responsible for day-to-day operations in a military confinement/correctional facility or detention/internment facility. JOB DUTIES Supervise confinement and detention operations Provide external security to facilities Provide counseling/guidance to individual prisoners within a rehabilitative program Manage and maintain prisoners/internees and their programs SKILLS LEARNED: Military laws and jurisdictions Self-defense and use of firearms Interpersonal communications skills Search/restraint and custody/control procedures WHY is there a need for Internment/Resettlement Specialists? Job position listings for such **WERE available in the following locations: Lancaster, California Washington DC Denver, Colorado Edinburgh, Indiana Monticello, Minnesota Parkville, Maryland Asheville, North Carolina Auburn, New York Sioux Falls, South Dakota Rapid City, South Dakota **Either the National Guard very quickly filled those positions, or someone is attempting to hide something. The links now all state: ZERO JOBS FOUND. So, why on earth would a military branch primarily designed to remain within US borders need Internment/Resettlement Specialists? (Although we have seen several deployments of the National Guard to the Middle East within recent years.) Recent historical events to consider We've witnessed the exponential growth of Big Brother-style surveillance throughout the world over the past two years. Part of this has included developing lists of those willing to get specific papers and those who are not. The demonization of those refusing to get vaccination papers is ongoing. We've discussed the very real potential of another lockdown coming this fall. Many didn't comply with the last and, likely, even more, won't abide by any upcoming ones. Just look at the massive protests taking place throughout France, England, and other nations worldwide. Then the American government created a course discussing how to mass quarantine rural Americans effectively. And, the National Guard began going door-to-door with public health workers to "convince" people to get their shots. Are more severe measures and "green zones" in our future? Biden is now floating the idea of banning interstate travel for those who refuse the jab. Another possible measure discussed is changing how the federal government reimburses treatment for unvaccinated patients who become ill with COVID-19. The CDC recently presented a document for consideration of The Shielding Approach to Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings. The document describes the shielding approach: The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease ("high-risk") and the general population ("low-risk"). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or "green zones" established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector, or community level depending on the context and setting. They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents. Furthermore, the CDC's document gives suggestions for effective implementation. For example: It may be necessary to assign someone within the green zone, if feasible, to minimize movement in/out of green zones. And now the National Guard is looking for "Internment/Resettlement Specialists." How many times have the rules changed? First, we heard there was no reason to wear a mask. Then, an N95 with a one-way valve was unacceptable. Later, multiple cloth masks were the key. Two weeks to flatten the curve was all it was going to take. Now, some argue that it could be years before restrictions are lifted, if ever. Then, if anyone believed that vaccine passports were the next step, they were considered crazy conspiracy theorists. Later, the concept of a passport system was embraced - even by many Republicans. Denial of hospital care because you refuse particular treatments? Nobody would ever argue for such! Only a short while later, this became a talking point of people in positions of power throughout the world. Surely the idea of people forcibly being rounded up and sent to camps is ludicrous. Isn't it? Now, the CDC is discussing the possibility of "green zones." (aka camps) What are we to believe is the purpose of Internment/Resettlement Specialists? Was this just a benign job posting typical for the military to have? (However, as stated before, the National Guard removed the postings.) Or is there something else going on here? A recent Pew Research Center survey indicates that 48%, roughly half of American adults, believe the government should take steps to restrict false information, even if it means losing some freedom to access and publish content. Even worse, 65% of Democrats surveyed say the government should take steps to restrict false information even if it means limiting freedom of information. This is counterbalanced by 70% of Republicans that say freedom of information should be protected even if some false information is published. Freedom of thought, speech and religion are the very foundation on which the United States is built, and half the US population wants to restrict it. Trouble is the definition of false information. Who decides? Last week, for example, my story “COVID vaccines, science and common sense” was blocked by Facebook, even though CDC statistics and other scientific studies were central to the story. It was one of those situations where many Daily Jot readers chastised me because they believed I was supporting CDC—I wasn’t, I was just quoting their numbers. Facebook, obviously, thought I was publishing “false” information about people getting COVID despite being vaccinated and possible long-term side effects. All the story was journalistically documented using named sources from reputable organizations. Yet, I got the “treatment” from both sides. Many people, both Christians and nonbelievers, are seeing “truth” these days from the lens of what they really want to believe. If someone publishes something they don’t want to hear, the purveyor of that information is considered an enemy. And many people are willing to believe the most outrageous claims without so much as a few strokes of the keyboard to verify whether it is accurate. This is occurring on a variety of issues from the false propaganda that a president can legally be reinstated by the military to COVID vaccines being effective and safe to people questioning someone’s salvation if they don’t believe the same things about the rapture. The hate and judgment resulting from these disagreements is extreme. Common sense is really the imprint of God’s hand on the soundness of our minds. As believers in the one true God, we should be able to discern right from wrong, danger from safety, and behave accordingly. The Apostle Paul forewarns in 2 Timothy 4:3-5, ”For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.” We, as Christians indwelled by the Holy Spirit, should have a thirst for the truth, not for making the truth what we want to believe. I believe there’s a full-throated, all-out attack on the family in our nation today. It’s time for moms and dads to be the spiritual leaders in the home. And it’s time for grandparents to be spiritual leaders too. In fact, we need grandparents as never before. Many grandparents today have stepped up to raise grandkids that moms and dads have abandoned. And I thank God for those grandparents. But I think we make it very hard to teach our children spiritual things by putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves. We feel that we need to spend a specific amount of time talking to them about things we’re not comfortable with—in the most boring way imaginable. But the best way to teach kids spiritual values is to weave them into everyday life. The Bible says this about God’s commands: “Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up” (Deuteronomy 6:7 NLT). You can’t save America, and neither can I.
