Destruction of Mankind in the Last Days, part 2 - By Pastor Mike Taylor - https://pastormiketaylor.blogspot.com/2022/04/destruction-of-mankind-in-last-days.html
6 “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:6-8) Everyone that is alive in this hour of the last days of man-kind's last gasp of ruling themselves, can see the chaos that is virtually enveloping this world. If it hasn't hit you directly, you may know someone who has felt the upheaval that is coming upon this world, and the neighborhood around you. Be it either natural environmental disasters, flooding, earthquakes, volcanoes that have come awake all up and down the Pacific coastlines and elsewhere, raging fires that are out of control in California or other states in the western section of the USA, or see the wars that have broken out in the Middle East, Russia and Ukraine, China and Taiwan, and future wars between Gaza and Israel and the threat of wars that could effect every man and women on this planet. Not to mention the coming war between Iran and Israel when Israel destroys their nuclear facilities. Each of these could lead to nuclear exchanges and world wide war that will kill millions, if not billions of people, which I believe will happen in the coming Tribulation. But past Revelation chp. 6, God gets directly involved with wrath and plagues on this earth and not millions, but multiple billions die. From scripture, God will nearly wipe this planet clean of all who have not believed in God's only Son, Jesus Christ. Looking at Revelation, from verse 1 of chp.6, God has used men to hate one another and come against each other to destroy each other, much as God used Assyria and Babylon to punish Israel for their idolatry. These wars may engulf this entire planet with nuclear weapons killing millions. None of this is for the Bride of Christ, His church will not see, but it is prophesied that it will happen. As Jesus told us in Matthew 24: 21 "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matthew 24:21-22) The elect are the Jewish people who have been divinely protected in Petra and those who have escaped the onslaught of the Anti-Christ that wants to destroy all who will not worship him and Satan. But with all this surrounding us and many that are in fear of what is coming upon the earth, it is good to step back and survey the surrounding landscape of historical details along with current events that can only be related to Bible prophecy that is being fulfilled in these last days. Let us, for a moment, consider the awesomeness of this big picture that is coming quickly into clearer view. UNDERSTANDING WHERE WE ARE IN PROPHECY For two thousand years, since the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ to the right hand of God our Father, mankind or the generations of those who put their faith in our Savior, have looked expectantly at the clouds and believed that they would see the coming of our Lord in their generation. There have been so many signs that points to the nearness of Jesus return for His church, that people have become almost complacent with the routine they have seen down through times past. Many disbelieving people who scoffed at the very idea of the Lord's return came to believe He wasn't coming at all. 2- “That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: 3- Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4- And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” (2nd Peter 3:2-4) Those of us who are living in this generation of the last days are eyewitnesses to events for which the ancient prophets had no words to describe, but can only be decipherable to that generation that lives in it. To the prophets, to them it was “somewhere in time”. DANIEL'S VISION OF THE FUTURE For example, the prophet Daniel was so confused by what he witnessed, and so unsure of how to describe it in words that made sense, that he actually complained to God's Messenger about it: "8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9- And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."(Daniel 12:8-10) Just try and see it from Daniel's perspective. He had just absorbed a vision of Israel's future, divided into seventy weeks of years. God revealed to Daniel the rise and fall of four successive world empires; Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. Much of Daniel's vision would have been somewhat familiar; the mechanics of government and technology of war didn't change that much from the 5th century BC to the 1st century AD. But Daniel's vision took a hard right turn following the 'cutting off of the Messiah.' 26 “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”(Daniel 9:26) The Messenger of God jumped from the fifth century BC to somewhere in the 21st Century when Jerusalem would be sacked and the temple destroyed in 70AD by Titus and then jumping forward near 2000 years to the confirmation of a seven year treaty between the many nations and the coming Anti-Christ and the start of the Tribulation period of 7 years, or Daniel's 70th week. Daniel had seen things that staggered him so much he didn't know where to begin. Consider the angel's reply carefully: "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." (Daniel 12:8-9) There is a principle in Bible scriptures that dictates that God doesn't repeat Himself unnecessarily, but has a purpose if He does. If God tells you something twice, then it is really important and those who read it should really take notice, as God wants you to get what He is saying. That is the case here. Earlier, Daniel had voiced a similar complaint, and the angel had already told him: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end," but in more detail, adding that, 'in the time of the end', "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12:4) The visions were so complex that the prophet was left near speechless to understand what it was he was being shown. This is the same man, who was so in tune with the Mind of God that he could divine and interpret dreams, but this vision was designed only for the generation that would actually live it and see its fulfillment. As mentioned, each generations has watched for signs of the times that pointed to the imminent return of our Lord, but they all lacked one thing. That one thing will be mentioned further in this message. Take for example, the Church at Thessalonica that was so convinced that the Day of the Lord was upon them, and that they had missed the rapture of the Church and were sore afraid. Paul had to comfort them and tell them what the signs would be before the coming Day of the Lord, and they were not living in it yet. “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?” (2nd Thessalonians 2:1-5 But the angel that came to Daniel said that the signs of the times would only be understandable to those who were actually living in that particular time of the generation of the end. The Greek word translated as "falling away" is the word "apostasia" in verse 3 above or the term apostasy comes from the Greek word apostasia ("ἀποστασία") meaning "defection", "departure", "revolt", or "rebellion", so in the words of Paul, this word means a "departure" or rapture. KNOWLEDGE VS. WISDOM There is a world of difference between 'knowledge' and 'wisdom'. One can have great wisdom without much knowledge. Some of the wisest men I ever knew had little or no education. But it is equally true that you can have a tremendous amount of knowledge but have no wisdom, but is known to have book smarts, but no common “horse sense”. I've known many just such as I describe. The bookstores are full of examples of Ph.Ds who have dedicated themselves to proving just that and it fills our universities of those who have knowledge but very little wisdom. Wisdom and knowledge is what Daniel was seeking when he made inquiries of the Angel Gabriel, which is who the Bible says was sent. Indeed, the angel Gabriel went on to say; "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." (Daniel 12:10) The Proverbs of Solomon explain 'understanding' as an equation that could be expressed this way: "wisdom plus knowledge equals understanding." "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10) That is the whole purpose of the Proverbs; "To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding." (Proverbs 1:2) Daniel was a very wise man, but he had nothing to compare the revelation he was receiving to what was evident in his world at the time and had no understanding of what was being revealed. It left him totally confused, but to write what was seen, as the understanding of this knowledge was not for him, but for another time. I believe it was for our time in the generation we are now living. THE BIG PICTURE As we look around us and try to understand what is happening and the Big Picture, it comes down to the sign that Jesus told us would be the sign of the last generation. That is what was lacking of all past generations...the rebirth of Israel. 32” Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matthew 24:32-37) It began when, for the first time since the times of Daniel, there is, in this generation, a political and national entity called "Israel" composed of Daniel's people and living in Daniel's city. 24 “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon they holy city to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”(Daniel 9:24) The first four have been completed at the cross of our Lord Jesus, but we wait anxiously for the last two to be completed...that will happen when Jesus returns to rule and reign for 1000 years. From the day that Israel was reborn it was unheard of for a nation to be reborn in just one day, but was prophesied that it would happen just that way when Israel would, against all odds, be reborn once again in one day. 8 “Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.” (Isaiah 66:8) But on 14 May 1948, the countdown clock began ticking down. As the prophecy spoken of by Jesus came to pass, and as I have mentioned in many messages past, Israel is the door to end time prophecy, and Jerusalem is the key to that door. God made a promise to the Prophet Daniel, and God keeps His promises. As noted, the Messiah was cut off after 483 years of a 490 year prophecy that still has 7 remaining years for the prophecy to be completed. That clock is now ticking away. But one doesn't need only to judge by the “fig Tree” of Matthew 24's prophecy to make that point. The point makes it all by itself. Virtually every major component of Bible prophecy makes the Big Picture by tracing it to this point in modern history. Many things are linked with the restoration of the nation of Israel and it all began in the same year of 1948. -The war on terrorism and the rise of Muslim atrocities began in 1948 and continues to the present time. -The prophesied coming of the Anti-Christ began with the destruction of Jerusalem and the burning of the Temple, and those legions of the Roman Empire as spoken of in Daniel 9:27 . -Those “people” became the modern version of the Roman Empire in 1948 when the European Union was formed out of the Benelux Treaty. -The current East/West geopolitical alignment in the Middle East is a direct result of the US/Soviet Cold War which officially kicked off with the 1948 Berlin Airlift. -The first Constitution for a global government, the Universal Declaration of Rights and Freedoms was ratified by the UN Member States in 1948. -The General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) Treaty establishing global economic policy rules (and ultimately evolving into the World Trade Organization) was signed and ratified by the UN in 1948. -The World Council of Churches was established under UN auspices in Amsterdam in August, 1948. -China and Taiwan were divided by the 1947-1948 Communist takeover of the mainland, giving birth to the inscrutable People's Republic of China. -Muslim Pakistan broke from newly independent India in 1948, creating the Islamic republic that ultimately gave the world the first Islamic Bomb, the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. This is all historical facts that anyone can point to that speaks of the co-ordination by Divine authority to put in place the final actors on the world stage to wind down this generation that we are living in. But if a person does not have “wisdom” then the knowledge of these historical events mean nothing to them in the Big Picture that God is orchestrating to come to pass to bring His will into being completed. When Jesus said that “this generation will not pass till all be fulfilled” We must re-emphasize what a generation is. The Psalms in chapter 90 says that a generation is 70 years, and 80 years by strength, then we fly away. So when in 1948, that timeclock of 70 years began for a generation born would see all things be fulfilled. And this year in May will be 74 years since Israel was reborn. It means that on the outside of 80+/- years, Jesus could be back on this earth, reigning and ruling for a thousand years. But a Tribulation of 7 years could happen between now and that end time of 80 plus years, somewhere of what was written of a generation in the Psalms. If the tribulation is that close, then the removal of the Church is even closer. This is the picture we see, and it remains to be seen when and how the generation of the Lord's return plays out according to God's plan and not ours. God gave us a general time frame. What the secular world sees, being devoid of understanding, is chaos, terror and upheaval of this world all around them. This lack of understanding breeds nothing but fear, as the world doesn't know what is happening, but the minute you start to tell them what is happening on God's Time Clock, then that is when they begin to shut you out or flee from your presence and label you a “prophecy nut” But remember in the first destruction of this planet that was flooded over with a deluge of water, Noah preached for 120 years without a single convert. I would call that most discouraging. So it is with the day that we live in, as men scoff at the idea that the end of this age is close at hand, they close their minds and their hearts to the reality of what is actually happening. Although they have knowledge of the events, they have not wisdom that leads to understanding. We as “watchman on the wall” see the sword coming, and we are commanded to warn the people. As it is written in Ezekiel: 3 “If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.” (Ezekiel 33:3-6) So we continue to warn the people, to give them knowledge, to hopefully produce wisdom and to lead them to understanding. We know not all will listen. But if only one comes to the understanding and escapes what is coming upon the earth known as the Tribulation, then that soul is priceless in the eyes of God. Our work is for even that one who believes, but we pray for more. Conclusion: So, in this message, I think it is good to step back once in a while and drink in the awesomeness of the events to which we are now almost daily witnesses of. As we see the hand of God moving directly in the affairs of this World to fulfill His Word in this generation, then our individual setbacks pale in comparison. We all should be encouraged to know that God is in control and that His Word will NOT come back to Him void. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11) RECEIVING ETERNAL REWARDS It is encouraging to know that those who look for the Glorious Appearing of our Lord and Savior will receive a special crown, a “crown of righteousness” that is reserved in heaven for all who have believed by faith and followed our Lord Jesus and seek to do His will in this time of the last generation. Paul speaks of this special crown that is reserved for the Children of God: 8” Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (2nd Timothy 4:8) Even more encouraging words are spoken by Titus in chapter 2 that believers should not be quaking in fear of what is coming upon the earth, but we are looking for that “Blessed Hope” which is Christ, the Lord. 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Looking at the signs of the times is terrifying. Understanding the times of the signs means a 'crown of righteousness' and represents our 'blessed hope'-- the soon Rapture of the Church. Still, it is natural to feel a sense of fear, as after all, we all want to go to heaven, but none of us want to hasten that process by dying. It is as the old saying goes “everyone wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die”. It's a natural human response that is fueled by the sympathetic nervous system, of the “fight or flight” desire to preserve life at any cost. But being fearful at times is not a sign of a lack of faith, it is a sign of being human. Paul explains that we are dual-natured creatures, part carnal and part spiritual, so it is not disloyal (or schizophrenic) to be afraid with the natural part and overjoyed at its spiritual implications. That is what 'understanding' is all about. 6 “Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” (1st Peter 1:6-9) LET ME ASK YOU A PERSONAL QUESTION. Are you afraid of what is coming upon this earth? Are you fearful that your family could be swept away, or that death could be right around the corner for you or any of your loved ones? With all the violence even now in our schools, on the streets and businesses, even our government, I don't blame you. It is entirely human to fear something you don't have understanding of. To be afraid of evil men who want to destroy the innocent lives around them is totally human but is devoid of Godly faith. Because you have nothing that you can hold onto and take courage that Jesus is the answer to that fear...For it is written: 7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2nd Timothy 1:7) The whole world knows that something “BIG” is coming. Those who have nothing to place their anchor in are fearful of what is coming. They can see how the world is starting to implode upon itself, and evil is growing unabated and it is right on our front doors steps of even this country. Men's hearts are failing them for what is coming upon the earth. But if you think it is fearful now, just wait, if you be so unfortunate, to see what WILL come upon the earth in possibly a few short years. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” (Luke 21:25-26) Men and women can't explain what is coming, they just have knowledge, but no wisdom or understanding of what God said would happen in these last days. A time of terrible suffering is fast approaching this world, even to the shores of this once great country known as the USA, which may not be so great in the time that is still to play out. “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2 “ A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.” (Joel 2:1-2) 21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21-22) A time that anyone who has wisdom coupled with knowledge will receive understanding and turn to the only Source of not being afflicted with this time called Jacob's Trouble. It is calculated that during the time that is fast approaching 80%+ of all man-kind left on earth will be destroyed. That is 5-6 billion people in 7 short years. Will you be amongst those who meet an untimely death and devoid of any hope for eternity? Many people will miss this coming span of death and destruction, but many people will endure this intense suffering and most assuredly death from something none of us want to think about. But make no mistake, it is coming. Jesus is coming, and His wrath will fall on all who have not believed the following verses and confessed who Jesus is in their lives. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18) 8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” (Romans 10:8-11) My question to you, are you ready to meet Him? Jesus Christ our Lord, for readers, He is coming, and He is coming soon. This is pastor Mike Taylor sounding the alarm. Jesus is coming and coming soon. TILL WE MEET AT JESUS FEET Tribulation Population Presenting - Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2022/04/26/tribulation-population-presenting/ Upon reading the words, we wonder where such people come from. Even the most virulent among the earth’s populations surely could not be so anti-God as to be so rebellious–not after having gone through such excruciating punishment in God’s call to repentance for that extended period. And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. (Revelation 16: 8-11) We witness on an hour-by-hour basis governments of the world shaping in ways predicted by God’s prophetic Word for the last days of this dispensation. Although some leaders are absolute tyrants, like those who are in charge of Russia, China, North Korea, etc., many leaders, particularly those in the Western Hemisphere, believe they are working for the good of their people. This, despite the fact that they are, in some cases, following the evil philosophy of Karl Marx and other wicked people of the past. There are some signs appearing that people, especially in America, are beginning to awaken just a bit to the evil being perpetrated, particularly upon our very youngest children. Yet there continues to be much tolerance in terms of unsavory and oppressive societal and cultural atmospherics. Teachers at the most primary levels are teaching the insanity that involves gender redirection. (Boys can be girls, and girls can be boys if they so choose. They don’t have to be of the sex God directed). Homosexual lifestyle is lauded and propagated as preferable in many ways to heterosexuality. The American educational system, both private and public, is largely at the heart of the problem. Teachers from kindergarten through the highest levels of academia have themselves been inculcated to the ways spawned by satanic influence. We now endure the results of that in quite disturbing ways. Some are teaching sexual activity to 5 year old’s. Almost without exception, as a general rule, professors hold to anti-God views and teach that Christianity and biblical education are simply stories at best and farcical fantasy in the worst cases. And that is the nucleus of the matter I wish to address here. It might go a long way toward answering the question posed above: We wonder where such people come from. We can’t imagine a people being so rebellious and so angry that they will hide themselves in the caves of earth and shake their fists in the face of the God they know has the power and intention to have them repent or perish. Those people are today presenting themselves for all to see. Those, such as the ones presented in the following excerpt, seem to be of the mindset of those described in Revelation 16 above. The article has salacious language, not that of the writer, but reported by her. I have, of course, kept that out of this piece. It is quite eye-opening how young adults within much of higher education are being shaped as those whom God’s Word calls earth dwellers. A series of jokes and banners published and hung at Hamilton College recently has upset some observers who argue anti-Christian sentiments fester at the small, New York-based private liberal arts institution. Most recently, a student satire publication called the Duel Observer published a mock article on campus newsstands during Holy Week that replaced Jesus Christ’s blood with his [word omitted] then joked “it will still give us everlasting life.” The satire piece ends with a description of an explosion that destroys the “Rosary Club,” the name of a real student group on campus. On Tuesday, student athletes also hung a banner (pictured) in the dining hall advertising an upcoming tennis match that used for inspiration the Last Supper mural by Leonardo da Vinci. [The mural displayed the opposing team and coach and had salacious words mocking the last supper and the opposing players.] The Hamilton College student who provided the images to The College Fix is Devin Mendelson, 22, a senior at the school who founded the Rosary Club last November. Mendelson said his club has upset some of his peers and campus leaders because of its strong defense of the unborn and traditional marriage. Administrators suspended his club’s email account for nearly three weeks in March, he said… Robert Paquette, president of the Alexander Hamilton Institute, said in an interview with The College Fix that the various items Mendelson highlighted are “disturbing to say the least.” “Never would this kind of imagery be tolerated if it were directed at Muslims, gays, transgenders, or feminists.” Paquette said what Mendelson and his club has faced is troubling. “This young man on campus is trying to start a Rosary Club and this has brought out the woke activists in abundance,” he said. “They have become gross and insulting, and they appear to want to defeat the young man’s purpose, and the administration does not seem to be doing much about it.” Paquette taught history at Hamilton for almost 40 years, but quit in 2018 to work at the Hamilton Institute fulltime. “I’d had enough with the leftward lurch of Hamilton College,” he said. Paquette also knows what it’s like to be roasted by the Duel Observer. He provided The College Fix with an issue from 2013 in which students mocked the former professor for defending intellectual diversity. (“Ahead of Easter, students mock Jesus, Student athletes at Hamilton College also display profane mock-up of Last Supper in dining hall,” Jennifer Kabbany – Fix editor, College Fix, Rapture Ready News April 16, 2022) I’m not lauding here the Catholic system; however, it is saddening and tragic to know that this sort of mocking God and His desire to see all men, women, and children come to Him in repentance is a prevalent activity among the nation’s colleges and universities. Obviously, according to prophetic Scripture, there will be those whose hearts have become so callous, so wickedly rebellious, that they can do no other than shake their fist in the face of the only person through whom they can be saved from eternity apart from their Creator. But there is yet time before those terrible years of Tribulation begin. In this pre-Rapture time we call the Age of Grace, there is still time to repent and have the rebellious heart changed into belief that trusts in the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Here, again, is how one can avoid being a part of the Tribulation population destined for God’s judgment and wrath. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10) Here Are 5 New “Pestilences” That Have Suddenly Appeared Around The Globe - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/here-are-5-new-pestilences-that-have-suddenly-appeared-around-the-globe/ Mysterious new outbreaks of disease are erupting all over the planet. Should we be alarmed? Over the past few years, we have all seen how rapidly an outbreak can spread. A few confirmed cases in one part of the world can become a true global pandemic in just a matter of weeks. And once a pandemic begins, it can be with us indefinitely. After more than two years of fighting COVID, our health authorities are now admitting that it is going to be with us for many years to come. Despite all of our advanced technology, the truth is that we are exceedingly vulnerable. A deadly new bug could come along at any time and kill millions or billions of us, and that is just one of the reasons why we should take any new “mystery illness” very seriously. With that being said, the following are 5 new “pestilences” that have suddenly appeared around the globe… #1 “Unexplained Hepatitis” The World Health Organization is reporting that in less than one month nearly 170 children all over the globe have developed “unexplained hepatitis”… Nearly 170 children with the unexplained hepatitis have been reported globally since the first case was detected in Scotland at the end of March, according to the World Health Organization. One child has died and at least 17 have needed liver transplants. Leading virologists fear the real toll of the infection could actually be magnitudes higher because many parents may brush off the warning signs. If this was something that was just happening on the other side of the globe most Americans wouldn’t pay any attention to it. But that isn’t the case. In fact, cases have already started to pop up at various locations around the country… Some 11 children sick with unexplained hepatitis have been confirmed in the U.S. in recent weeks, with nine cases in Alabama — including two that needed liver transplants — and two in North Carolina. If confirmed, the Illinois cases will take the total to 14. #2 Japanese Encephalitis I have briefly mentioned this before, but now the outbreak of Japanese encephalitis in Australia has gotten even worse. At this point, it is being reported that 11 humans have already been infected… Experts say Japanese encephalitis will impact pork supply as infected piggeries experience production losses of up to 80 percent. There are now 30 New South Wales piggeries affected by the mosquito-borne virus and 11 people have been infected, with three deaths nationwide according to a new report. Japanese encephalitis is endemic in other parts of the world, but it has never been seen this far south in Australia. NSW Department of Primary Industries chief veterinary officer Sarah Britton said it had been a stressful time for pig producers. “They have had huge impacts on production — up to 60 to 80 percent of production impacted in some sites,” she said. #3 Ebola As if we didn’t have enough problems, now Ebola is back. In central Africa, at least two people have already died as a result of the latest outbreak… Ebola has claimed its second victim in the Democratic Republic of Congo amid a fresh resurgence of the deadly virus. Local health chiefs are now scrambling to contain the outbreak, which began two weeks ago. The first case — a 31-year-old man from Mbandaka in the Equater province — died from the killer virus on April 21. His 25-year-old sister-in-law is the second victim of the outbreak. #4 The H3N8 Bird Flu I have written extensively about the bird flu pandemic in recent weeks. In the United States alone, more than 28 million chickens and turkeys have already died since the first case was confirmed in the U.S. in February. But if the bird flu jumped into humans, that would be a worst case scenario, because the CDC says that the death rate for bird flu in humans can be as high as 60 percent. So the fact that the Chinese have just confirmed “the first human infection with the H3N8 strain of bird flu” is definitely more than just a little bit alarming… China has recorded the first human infection with the H3N8 strain of bird flu, the country’s health authority said on Tuesday (April 26), but said the risk of it spreading among people was low. A four-year-old boy from central Henan province was found to have been infected with the variant after developing a fever and other symptoms on April 5. #5 The Mystery Disease That Is Killing Horses In Colorado On top of everything else, a brand new “mystery disease” has killed dozens of wild horses in Colorado… A mystery disease is suspected in the deaths of 57 wild horses at an equine facility in Canon City, Colorado, federal officials said. The outbreak of the “unknown yet highly contagious and sometimes fatal disease” began April 23, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management said. The facility houses 2,550 horses. It is under voluntary quarantine. Hopefully, the five outbreaks that I have listed in this article will all fizzle out. But as we have seen, even a very small outbreak can go global in the blink of an eye. In late 2019, most people never would have imagined that the outbreak of a “mystery disease” in China would turn all of our lives upside down over the next two years. And hardly anyone anticipated that one confirmed case of the bird flu in the United States would result in more than 28 million dead chickens and turkeys in less than three months. We live in an era when scientists are monkeying around with extremely dangerous bugs in super secret labs all over the planet. And thanks to our highly advanced modes of transportation, outbreaks can spread around the globe before authorities even realize what is happening. Needless to say, I believe that what we have experienced so far is just the beginning. I believe that the pandemics that are eventually coming will make what we have already endured look like a Sunday picnic. But even though they are fully aware of the dangers, scientists all over the world will never end their extremely reckless experiments. Our knowledge of deadly pathogens has greatly surpassed our ability to properly handle that knowledge, and that is a very dangerous place to be. Conviction or Condemnation? - Nathele Graham [email protected] Are you trying to draw closer to God, but you continue to yield to temptations that move you farther away? Do you continue to fail, and feel condemned because of your failures? Let me reassure you “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” Romans 3:23-26. There are times when it seems as if condemnation is heaped upon us. This happens no matter where you sit on Sunday…in a jail cell or in a pew. All sin is forgiven when you accept Christ for salvation. No matter what you’ve done in the past, and no matter what you will do in the future, or even what you are doing today, Jesus’ blood takes all sin away. Sin is a part of human nature, not a good part, but a part nonetheless. The difference between a Christian and someone who has rejected Christ’s free gift of salvation, is the Holy Spirit convicts, not condemns, us of our sin. That conviction should draw us closer to God through prayer and study of Scripture in order to seek forgiveness and help us to turn from our sin. If you’re feeling condemned by your sins, that is not the voice of the Holy Spirit, but condemnation comes from Satan. If you understand about the full armor of God as described in Ephesians chapter 6, you’ll be better equipped to fight spiritual battles. How can you know you’re hearing the voice of Satan or the Holy Spirit? If you are drawn into Scripture, and submit to God’s word, then the Holy Spirit is convicting you. If you are moving farther and farther away from God because you feel you’ve sinned too much for Him to forgive you, that’s the condemnation of Satan. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17. Jesus is our Saviour, not our condemner. Let’s take a look at a passage in which we see Jesus convicting a woman of her sin, but not condemning her. First, we need to understand just how important marriage is in God’s eyes. It isn’t to be taken lightly and marital relations are only within the covenant of a one man/one woman marriage. Today, many people treat marriage casually and with little respect for its importance. According to the Law of Moses, adultery was a capital offence and both participants were to be stoned to death. John tells of a morning when Jesus went to the temple and all the people came to Him to be taught. Unknown to them, they were going to get a real-life lesson in mercy and grace. “And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, “Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.” John 8:3-4. First lesson, just because someone calls Him Master doesn’t mean they believe in Him as Lord and Saviour. There are many false teachers and false religions that claim to be Christian but don’t teach that Jesus was God incarnate, nor do they honor His word. The accusers continued, saying “Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.” John 8:5-6. Jesus knew these religious leaders weren’t truly seeking His wisdom and really didn’t care what the woman had done or what became of her. They only wanted to trap Jesus. How did Jesus react to their insincere words? He didn’t answer. The Law did make provision for stoning in cases of adultery, but there was more to it than just bringing a woman and accusing her. Both the man and the woman who participated in the act of adultery were to be stoned, not just the woman (Deuteronomy 22:22-24 and Leviticus 20:10). Each one of us is in the same predicament as that woman. We all sin in one way or another and deserve death and condemnation. In Jesus there was no condemnation for this woman, but he convicted her accusers. “So when they continued asking him, he lifted himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.” John 8:7-8. Jesus didn’t argue with them, nor did He hurl accusations at them or at the woman, but quietly let them see their own sin. What did Jesus write? Much speculation surrounds that question. If the Holy Spirit thought we needed to know, He would have led John to include it in the Gospel. As it is, we know that whatever He had written convicted those men of their own sins that were worthy of stoning. Some believe Jesus wrote various Commandments which the accusers were guilty of committing. Perhaps He wrote Deuteronomy 22:22-24 or Leviticus 20:10. Whatever He wrote, they changed their minds about stoning the woman. “And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.” John 8:9. Jesus didn’t condemn them but they were convicted of their own wrongs. If they ultimately repented, they weren’t condemned. If they chose to reject Jesus, they condemned themselves. The woman who had been brought before Jesus must have been confused, and a bit relieved. She knew that under the Law she was guilty, but she also must have felt the injustice, because she knew the man she was with should have been there with her facing judgment. Maybe she thought “Good, I didn’t get stoned, so now I can get back to my life of prostitution”. Jesus didn’t leave her in her sin. He didn’t pat her on the head and send her on her way. “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee go, and sin no more.” John 8:10-11. I wonder what happened to her. We can be sure that she wasn’t sinless, but her encounter with Jesus and His forgiveness had to have touched her deeply. I have to believe that she gave up her life of prostitution and adultery. That’s how all of us need to react when we encounter Jesus. Every one of us sin and even a seemingly small sin is worthy of death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. Thank You, Jesus, for your forgiveness and the gift of salvation. When we truly ask Jesus to forgive our sin He does. He forgives all sins we have committed, we are committing, and the ones we will commit. “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses: blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way nailing it to his cross.” Colossians 2:13-14. Jesus forgave the woman taken in adultery, and He forgives our sins today, everything from taking the name of the Lord in vain, to the worst and most heinous sins you read about in news headlines. You need to see your sin and ask him to forgive you. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:8-9. Ask Him to forgive you, then turn away from that sin; “…go and sin not more. John 8:11b. Jesus took our sin upon Himself and died in our place when He gave His life on the cross. He won’t condemn you if you tell Him you’ve sinned and you’re sorry. “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the Spirit:” 1 Peter 3:18. Jesus became sin and took our punishment. Now He is our advocate with the Father. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:1-2. The word “propitiation” comes from the Greek word “hilasmos” which means “appeasing”. Only through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ can sin be appeased. He died on the cross for the entire world, not just for the Jewish people. In order to be forgiven of sin and live forever with Him, you must ask Him to forgive you. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10. There is no sin that God won’t forgive. His love is unending. Once you’ve earnestly ask Him for forgiveness and truly accept His sacrifice for your sin, then you, like the woman taken in adultery, need to “…go and sin no more” John 8:11b. With God’s help you can find the strength to stop the sin in your life, whether it’s adultery, lying, anger, or any other sin you commit. We can be assured of salvation at the moment we truly believe. “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God’ who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. 2 CDon’t reject His forgiveness. Eternity is a long time to live with that mistake. Your choice must be made before you die. Jesus will convict you of sin, but not condemn you. He will forgive you. Turn to Him now before it’s too late. When you take your final breath in this world your soul will continue living eternally. It’s your choice where that eternity will be spent. Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus will bring forgiveness of the sin that separates you from God and allow you to live in Heaven with Him forever. If you reject His free gift and go on thinking you don’t sin and don’t need forgiveness, then you condemn yourself to eternity in the burning lake of fire with Satan and all who have rejected Christ. Daily Jot: Of schools and churches - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com There are two institutions involved in teaching at the local community level—churches and schools. Contemporary interpretation of law insists that the two are separated, but they have many things in common. In Loudoun County, Va., concerned parents started a movement over the teaching of Critical Race Theory and the grooming of young children by the homosexual community. This was the beginning of parents taking back the very local essence of school governance, which is how the Constitution intended it. Churches are also very local, yet parents lag behind the school parental rights movement in addressing the teaching of extra biblical and bad doctrine in the church. Both have similar consequences. Loudoun County parents rebelled against a school board that turned a deaf ear to opposition of their tyrannical leftist stance to allow the teaching of a false history that demonized all white people, and the board’s position on allowing the sexual grooming of children. This local action is as it was intended by the US Constitution, that school boards would be local and autonomous from the power of the federal government. It was only when federal funds were introduced to school systems that schools were beholden to government policy. Don’t want the government in your kid’s business? Don’t accept federal funds. Another excellent example of the exercise of parental rights is found in Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed a parental rights bill into law, which the extreme left politicos and corporations fought tooth and nail. Parents and children are the big winners. These LGBTQ+ clubs at schools and sympathetic teachers aim to confuse and groom our children for their own sexual agenda through their anti-bullying programs in schools. In any other time of history, this would have been considered pedophilia. And you know what? Disney, which exercises huge influence over children through its entertainment properties, was exposed as an ally in perverting our children’s minds. DeSantis and the Florida legislature had enough bullying and stripped Disney of its special tax status. Many churches distort the teachings of the Bible, have over-philosophized scripture, and teach an extra-biblical, emotional and self-indulgent version of the gospel—enough so that they have lost an estimated 60% of millennials who were raised in the church. This impacts society as a whole. 2 Timothy 3:14-15 says, “Continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them. And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” Church and school have in common the education of our generations—one morally and one academically. When neither are adhering to their mission, the result is a decline in society. You have the authority and responsibility to remove those who promote such. Daily Devotion: Best Friends with the Dark - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Then the foreign rabble who were traveling with the Israelites began to crave the good things of Egypt. And the people of Israel also began to complain. ‘Oh, for some meat!’ they exclaimed —Numbers 11:4 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/best-friends-with-the-dark/ - Listen The foreign rabble, or mixed multitude, joined the Israelites as they left Egypt. They probably were impressed with the wonder-working God of Israel, and they, too, wanted to escape. And although they left Egypt, Egypt apparently never left them. They didn’t appreciate the manna God was providing for them in the wilderness, so they started complaining. And then the Israelites began to complain too. The mixed multitude was a bad influence on God’s people. Manna was bread from Heaven, sent from God, and they rejected it. In the same way, nonbelievers don’t get why believers love the Scriptures. In fact, here’s a real test of your spiritual life. Do you look forward to Bible study? Or, do you dread it and can’t wait for it to be over? That’s an indication of where you are spiritually. A hungry believer is a healthy believer. And if you’re strong spiritually, if you’re healthy spiritually, then you will be constantly hungry for more of the Word of God. On the other hand, if you’re an unhealthy believer, you won’t be. Ungodly people were influencing the Israelites. That is why the apostle Paul warned, “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14 NLT). The Message states it this way: “Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark?” Think about who your influences are. Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future. If, as a Christian, you hang around people who don’t believe as you believe, they can influence you and bring you down. That is what the mixed multitude did with the Israelites. So be very careful. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity!
