On Apr. 6, 2022, U.S. Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen told a panel in the U.S. House of Representatives that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, “including the atrocities committed against innocent Ukrainians in Bucha, are reprehensible, represent an unacceptable affront to the rules-based global order, and will have enormous economic repercussions for the world.”
 
Notice the words “enormous economic repercussions for the world” as in “global economic collapse.”
 
This writer doubts that Yellen is anticipating that Jesus will break the seals on the seven-sealed scroll that will release the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Tribulation Period (Rev. 6:1-8), but it is easy to believe that world government, wars and rumors of wars, famine, economic collapse, pestilence, and the death of multitudes are likely on the horizon.
 
Why?
 
Because it is coming out of the mouths of world leaders, and it is in the news every day.
 
Here are more events that recently made the news.
 
One, concerning famine: on Apr. 8, 2022, the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said the price of a basket of commodities went up 12.6% in Feb. 2022. This is the highest one-month jump since the U.N. started tracking prices in 1990.
 
(More: On Apr. 8, 2022, Bank of America (BofA) chief investment strategist, Michael Hartnett, sent a note to BofA clients that said, “‘Inflation shock’ worsening, ‘rates shock’ just beginning, ‘recession shock, coming.”).
 
(Note: Biden is blaming the inflation on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and that is having an impact, but the rise in inflation started with Biden’s destruction of U.S. energy independence, it accelerated with Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar spending bills, and it is increased by free education, healthcare, telephones, etc., to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens crossing our border with Mexico.)
 
Two, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Apr. 5, 2022, U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley and U.S. Sec. of Defense Lloyd Austin told the House Armed Services Committee that the world is becoming more unstable and the “potential for significant international conflict is increasing, not decreasing.”
 
Notice that the U.S. military believes the world is becoming more unstable and the potential for significant wars is increasing.
 
Gen. Milley characterized Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “the greatest threat to the peace and security (peace and safety) of Europe and perhaps the world” in the 42 years he has served in the U.S. military.
 
This globalist quest for peace and safety will eventually focus on Israel (see I Thess. 5:3).
 
Three, concerning the tracking of all buying and selling: Glen Beck was recently talking about a New York Times (NYT) report on the World Government Summit that was held in Dubai on Mar. 29-30, 2022.
 
Here is part of what Beck said: “Let me translate. If the Fed issues a digital currency, which the Pres. (Biden) is now asking the Fed in an executive order to explore … the Fed Coin will differ materially from cash because no purchase will be anonymous …. This is in the NYT. Please don’t say it’s conspiracy, and please don’t say it could never happen here. Don’t ever say those things again. You must understand we are living in a very different world. All of the old rules are gone …. This is the final grab of total power globally.”

(Writer’s comment: The statement that no purchase will be anonymous means the government will be able to track all buying and selling. Beck’s statement that this is a total power grab means the government will be able to control everyone. Praise God that the Rapture will take place before we get to that, but people need to understand that God reveals what He intends to do before He does it (Amos 3:7). A digital currency is under consideration in the U.S. now; a digital currency could become a reality in the U.S. in a matter of months, and it will ultimately be a global reality. Yes, the world has changed, and we are closing in on the Rapture and the Tribulation Period.)
 
Four, concerning the Ten Kings: on Apr. 5, 2022, Ukrainian Pres. Zelensky addressed the United Nations (U.N.) Security Council.
 
Zelensky said, “You could do two things: Either remove Russia as an aggressor and a source of war so it cannot block decisions about its own aggression or, if there’s no alternative, then the other option is for the Security Council to dissolve itself altogether.”
 
The U.N. Security Council has 5 permanent members (U.S., France, UK, Russia, and China) that have veto power over “substantive” resolutions and 15 non-permanent members that do not have veto power over those resolutions.
 
This power that only 5 nations have has long been viewed by some as unfair, and calls for reform are common.
 
Zelensky is a World Economic Forum globalist, and his call for the U.N. to act or dissolve may soon fulfill Bible prophecy because Ten Kings will ultimately be empowered to replace the U.N. Security Council and head up the New World Order.
 
(By the way, this writer is not a fan of the U.N. and would love to see it totally and permanently dissolved, but I believe the U.N. will be restructured and empowered, not dissolved.)
 
Five, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters at the end of the age: the month of Mar. 2022 had the most tornadoes in the U.S. on record (more than 250).
 
Six, concerning the decline of the U.S.: on Apr. 6, 2022, it was reported that Pres. Biden’s budget proposal for 2023 will reduce the U.S. army by 12,000 troops.
 
With wars and rumors of wars increasing and the Tribulation Period looming, America probably needs to strengthen its military, not weaken it.
 
Seven, concerning reprobate minds: it has been reported that massive government spending is threatening the global economy, causing inflation, the U.S. is reducing the size of its army, etc., but Biden intends to buy thousands of cell phones each month from China and give them to immigrants that are illegally entering the U.S.
 
Eight, concerning world government: a reader sent me a notice of a meeting on Apr. 12-13, 2022, to discuss a “legally binding global pandemic treaty.”
 
According to the notice by a group called “Stand for Health Freedom,” the World Health Organization (WHO) has established a group to work on a global pandemic treaty and present it at the 2024 World Health Assembly.
 
Globalists want to take over the world’s food supply, the world’s healthcare, everyone’s income, and they have an eye on the world’s pension funds.
 
Citizens need to start speaking up because there will be enormous economic repercussions to what they are trying to do.

Nine, also concerning world government: an article was posted by Dr. Joseph Mercola warning that Klaus Schwab, head of the World Economic Forum (WEF), elitists in the Deep State, the big-tech industry, the BlackRock investment firm, and others want to do more than try to control everyone’s life.
 
Schwab’s top advisor, Dr. Yuval Harari, is saying corporations and governments may soon be able to hack into humans and fundamentally change, re-engineer or redesign them into beings that can be improved and controlled.
 
Some excellent prophecy teachers believe these “re-engineered” beings may be like the Nephilim that came into being before God decided to destroy the world with the Great Flood (Gen. 6:1-4).
 
Ten, concerning deceit, more oil production, lower inflation, lower fuel costs, etc.: on Apr. 11, 2022, it was reported that OPEC has told the E.U. that Russia produces about 7 million barrels of oil per day.
 
The OPEC official said if the E.U. boycotts Russian oil and keeps about 7 million barrels of oil off the market every day, OPEC does not have the ability to make that up.
 
(Note: U.S. oil producers could increase their production, which would lower gasoline prices, inflation, help the poor and middle class, etc., but Biden refuses to allow it and continues to blame Russia. He said he is doing everything in his power to bring prices down, but that is obviously not true.)
 
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
 
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

It turns out that The Atlantic magazine did a better job explaining the problem of disinformation than even those planning its recent conference on the subject held at the University of Chicago could have hoped. The magazine modestly described the event, titled "Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy," as "groundbreaking," and in one sense, it was.
 
It was hosted by an institution that is one of the pillars of the liberal Washington establishment and had a list of speakers that was filled with well-known talking heads regularly seen on CNN and MSNBC, as well as published in outlets like The New York Times and, of course, The Atlantic. It was a nonstop compendium of conventional wisdom that put forward the notion that the problem of misleading and false information about important subjects all came from conservatives and their media outlets.
 
Some on the right are certainly not always truthful. But there was nothing groundbreaking about a collection of liberal elites telling each other that their political foes are terrible people who believe bad things and cynically peddle lies to their ignorant followers.
 
What was important about it was that when confronted by a student reporter with examples of how those present at the conference were themselves a primary source of misinformation, the response of the presenters did more to illustrate how the spread of such falsehoods endangers democracy than anything said or written on the subject in recent memory.
 
Their hypocrisy has provoked a great deal of partisan score-settling, a lot of which centers around the epic lying that was done by the legacy corporate media and their Silicon Valley allies during the last weeks of the 2020 presidential campaign. If Americans think their views about this subject should be determined solely by partisan affiliations or opinions about President Joe Biden or Trump, they're wrong.
 
The willingness of both the political and media divisions of the Washington establishment to spread lies also goes to the heart of the misrepresentation of other issues and stories, including those that affect both the security of the state of Israel and the spread of anti-Semitism.
 
The Atlantic conference became notorious because University of Chicago students were able to ask some of the speakers about examples of misinformation that they had spread themselves. One, in particular, was The Washington Post's Anne Applebaum, a once-respectable journalist who nevertheless asserted that an October 2020 New York Post scoop with revelations about the corrupt business activities and influence peddling of Hunter Biden was Russian disinformation.
 
At the time, like other members of the liberal establishment that circled the wagons around the campaign of Hunter's father, Applebaum believed that nothing was more important than defeating Trump's bid for re-election. The scandal was ignored outside of conservative outlets. Social-media companies censored and shut down the accounts of the Post and others who sought to publicize it.
 
This matters because now that the details about the infamous Biden laptop and the emails on it have been belatedly declared genuine by both The New York Times and The Washington Post, and the claims about Russian involvement (that were attested to by dozens of fervently anti-Trump former intelligence officials) debunked, those who lied about it have not been held accountable. On the contrary, Applebaum's response to the student's question was simply to declare herself "uninterested" in something that she claims is "irrelevant."
 
The rest of the conference's speakers held to the same line with Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg, even summoning up the chutzpah to declare criticism of the hypocrisy on display at the event to also be disinformation.
 
But to focus only on him or Applebaum is a mistake. The keynote speaker of the conference--former President Barack Obama--is an even more egregious example of double standards about misinformation. Though widely treated like a secular saint, Obama was, after all, the person who repeatedly fibbed about those who used his signature health-care plan being able to keep their doctors if they liked them. Just as important, he and the rest of his administration also continuously dissembled about the Iran nuclear deal.
 
His utterly false claims about the agreement preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and being enforceable were dutifully reported as facts by a mainstream press that even a member of his own White House staff dismissed as a "media echo chamber." To this day, you can read accounts of the issue in outlets like the Times and the Post without once encountering key facts about the pact allowing Iran to keep all of its advanced nuclear facilities and research, or that it actually expires by the end of this decade.
 
The key knowledge that the deal didn't just enrich and empower the world's leading state sponsor of international terrorism, but that it guaranteed that Tehran would achieve its ambition to be a nuclear power is missing from Obama's self-congratulatory comments and almost all of the media's stories about the subject.
 
In his remarks at the conference, Obama defined disinformation as "a systematic effort to either promote false information, to suppress true information, for the purpose of political gain, financial gain, enhancing power, suppressing others, targeting those you don't like." Somehow, it never occurred to the former president that it was an apt characterization of his own approach to public policy, as well as of his key media and big tech allies.
 
It's equally true of much of mainstream media coverage of Israel. Unfair and misleading reporting on the Mideast is often the product of ignorance on the part of reporters and editors. But anti-Israel bias is also motivated in large measure by intersectional ideology that holds the Jewish state to be a "privileged" oppressor, in addition to more traditional anti-Semitic tropes.
 
That is a good way to understand why issues like the complicated property dispute in the Nahalat Shimon or Sheikh Jarrah section of Jerusalem are portrayed in such a one-sided manner, in which Jewish rights and history are simply ignored, and a blatantly false Palestinian Arab narrative about victimhood is accepted at face value.
 
Mainstream media outlets repeated such Palestinian propaganda about Jerusalem as a justification for Hamas firing thousands of missiles at Israel last May. That same misinformation was used by as an excuse for anti-Semitic incitement heard in Congress, as well as for violence against Jews in the streets of American as well as European cities. But apologies from media outlets on that score are just as scarce as those about silencing the Hunter Biden story.
 
The same is also true for mainstream media accounts of the recent series of terrorist attacks in Israel. They are invariably attributed to the lack of a Palestinian state without ever acknowledging that the Palestinians have repeatedly rejected a two-state solution, and that their claims about Jerusalem and the holy sites are blatant lies and denial of Jewish history.
 
The point here is that the same people who lied about Hunter Biden, and before that, about Trump colluding with Russia in the 2016 election and the Iran nuclear deal are the same "trusted" figures that many rely on to tell them the truth about the attempt to revive the pact and about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
 
No news source should be consumed uncritically. Still, if there is anything we should have learned in the last few years, it is that when legacy media use the word "misinformation," it's often merely shorthand for political speech they don't like or stories that make their preferred candidates or policy prescriptions look bad.
 
Too often, it is better applied to what the same people crying foul about the spread of misinformation are themselves reporting. That is something that is destroying the mainstream media's credibility and eroding democracy.

A radical activist group, Adbusters, is currently patting themselves on the back after claiming to have deflated “thousands” of SUV tires to fight “climate change.”
 
The group recently sparked backlash on Social Media after they instructed their followers to go into “wealthy areas” and “wedge gravel in the tire valves, leaflet the SUV to let them know the tires are flat and why it was done, and walk away.”
 
“Climate change is the biggest crisis we’ve faced as a species,” they insisted, adding that it is time for their group to “carefully escalate” their “methods.”
 
Meanwhile, in the UK, hundreds of climate activists have been arrested in just the last 12 days for attempts to disrupt fuel supplies.
 
“The Home Secretary is being told to seek nationwide injunctions to stop ‘guerrilla tactics’ being used by the group of largely privileged students and professional protesters shutting down oil terminals by chaining themselves to pipes, digging tunnels, or blocking tankers to cripple critical UK infrastructure and leave petrol stations without fuel,” the Daily Mail reported. “As a result, petrol and diesel shortages are ‘an issue’ and some filling stations are ‘drying up'”
 
Despite calls for action against the eco-protesters, it seems that their lawless actions are receiving minimal ramifications. The Daily Mail detailed that no charges have been filed against the hundreds arrested in the last two weeks, and only 11 remain behind bars.
 
World leaders, governments, and organizations have continuously stoked fears of a fast-approaching climate disaster. Even amid the war in Ukraine, many prominent globalist voices expressed concern that their favorite crisis, the “climate emergency,” was being eclipsed.
 
Deborah Brosnan, a professor at Virginia Tech University, reiterated this sentiment, stating that, although the war in Ukraine is “a terrible tragedy,” the world has now become “blind to the fact” that climate change is “an even larger and existential crisis already unfolding today – one that will result in a global humanitarian crisis and on a scale never seen before.”
 
Big Tech social media platforms have also exacerbated the eco-terrorism problem by essentially banning what they refer to as “misinformation” surrounding the climate. This policy has silenced many scientific experts from sharing online evidence that debunks much of the so-called “settled science” about climate change.
 
“We’re dangerous,” Greg Wrightstone, a geologist and climate expert, who was banned on LinkedIn, underscored. “They cannot allow our factually-based presentations to get out to the public, because what we say makes sense and it’s backed up by science. We’re rational, thoughtful people that are scientists, that are distinguished scientists, and we’re presenting this information.”
 
“I look at this on a daily basis and there’s no way to sugarcoat it,” he stated; people “are being lied to on a daily basis about climate change and its ramifications.”
 
Answers In Genesis explained that, despite public perceptions, the majority of climate scientists do not believe we are in a “climate crisis.”
 
“In reality, only a small sampling of climate scientists believe we are facing imminent doom,” the AiG article explained. “Furthermore, thousands of scientists with climate-related degrees have sent letters and signed petitions arguing against a climate crisis, further emphasizing that the scientific community can’t reach a consensus on the issue.”
 
“So why all the insistence on anxiety and panic?” the article urged.
 
“Secular scientists approach the climate debate from an unbiblical perspective, believing that humans alone manage the rising temperatures,” AiG insisted. “Certainly when we have clear evidence that we are abusing creation, we should take actions to correct it. But Christians know that God designed our magnificently complex climate and has promised that the present earth will be inhabitable until he creates a new heaven and a new earth (Isaiah 65:17).”
 
When humans look at God’s creation, the response should be reverence to the One who created it. Romans 1:19-20 explains that the incredible creations of God cause humans to be without excuse about His existence. This same chapter, however, states that our culture has deliberately chosen a very different path in their collective rebellion against God: Worshiping the creation, rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25).
 
Christian author Terry James explained that “climate worship” is fast becoming a new global religion.
 
James described the religious parallels, including the insistence that climate change “deniers” or “nonbelievers” be “branded as her­etics.”
 
Christianity, James stated, runs in direct opposition “to the unimpeachable declarations of the environmental gurus who say man is destroying the earth with green­house gases from carbon emission” and “only man, himself, through draconian actions to stop these deadly gases, can save himself from choking to death from unbreathable air or drowning because of the melting ice of the North and South poles.”
 
“The Bible declares that Jesus Christ, who is the very Word of God (John 1:1–3), is who has this earthly orb in His grip. It is not man who controls planet earth,” he urged.

There is still a segment of believers who simply cannot stomach the fact that they are living in astounding prophetic moments. The great prophets of the Old Testament, as well as the early Church Fathers, longed for these unravelings, which are at an incredible warp speed. They passed on way before the very roots of what is happening ever displayed their green shoots. Those who are alive and have all their vital signs in good order would be arguably that cohort in the pages of history that witnesses living Bible prophecy!
 
Perhaps some of them came across the Olivet Discourse during their Sunday School years. They probably shrugged off what the Saviour said and probably discounted heavily the prospect of being alive at these times. Maybe they would not live to see this seemingly scary stuff. Ironically speaking, they are alive and in great shape, while wars accompanied by rumours of wars stare point-blank at both retinas. None of them are comatose when they hear of an imminent economic collapse of worldwide proportions and a looming threat of a global famine!
 
These folks will momentarily look back at the wonder years which they were part of, but more so their dearly departed who avoided present-day nasties — these people have had it seemingly much better! Parents, grandparents, and even great grandparents savored a portion of history that would be sorely missed. Life then was relatively more than decent when compared to current-day deficiencies. So many could only wonder at and ponder the prospect of living to see more deprivations as the scourge of the Great Reset looms large. Enough to make some wish they were born in the days of stagecoaches! Envy those who went home early because of a ravaging brain tumor, if not a fatal car crash at the hands of a drunk at the wheel?
 
Hang on a second there! You folks are missing something – big time. That is what the author of confusion so ordered; he is making you run the needless gauntlet of so-called shattered dreams and hopes. By what standards? Earthly! Treasures on earth that are poised to be stolen by a cabal of very wicked people. On this very sad note, the genuine hope has been suppressed and denied — this happens when the emphasis is worldly versus the good spiritual!
 
To make sense of what is really going on and at the same time benefit fully, there is only one thing — connect with God! When one is closely connected with the Lord, the Holy Spirit is there to minister to us, giving us a fascinatingly different lens with respect to the current ominous backdrop.
 
“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God” (1 Corinthians 2:10-12).
 
It would not even cost a dime for the deep things of our Heavenly Father to be revealed to us. This is really awesome material; there is enough muscle to shatter existing mindsets. At this juncture, lingering memories lose their relevance when long-held viewpoints are pummeled by the many truths which emanate from the Spirit of God. We can definitely have a uniquely inspirational glimpse of the immediate future — never missing out on the numerous silver linings amidst the darkening.
 
There is absolutely no need to wallow in hopelessness which everything associated with the fallen planet is only available. The father of lies only tells everybody that there is doom and gloom, which makes living pointless. But the Way, the Truth and the Life says so very differently — there are great and mighty things which are possible. This being the case even in gravity-defying fashion in these times.
 
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:12-14).
 
Wise up, brothers and sisters in the Lord; do not fall for the snare the enemy has set. Be aware of one thing; these things tell us that the moment of redemption is really close — so look up as eternity draweth nigh (Luke 21:28). It is not like what you experienced so far — everything having a shelf life, if not expiration date. The joy which no words can express and describe is forever! Do not look back but gaze forward.

With the government showing its weakness in protecting the general welfare of its citizens in border security, disease control, Islamic infiltration, economic policy, privacy, and more, it is easy for many to develop fear and depression. Please be reminded that the government is not God. Socialists, progressives, communists, or whatever “ists” the current Administration calls itself, it is neither God nor a replacement for God. There is only one true God as Christ said in Mark 12:29, “The first of all the commandments is, “Hear O Israel; The LORD our GOD is ONE LORD.” The government shall rest upon the LORD’s shoulders, not man’s. Government is not God. Do not fear.
 
Christ said in Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” You see, with all the reports that this administration causing inflation at record levels, helping Iran get nuclear weapons, refusing to protect the borders, encouraging sexual exploitation of our children and more, you should be welled up with a righteous anger, but not full of fear. Even in those days leading up to the LORD’s return, Christ told us in Matthew 10:19, “But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.” You have God-given courage within you. You are a courageous person. Do not fear.
 
The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Do you not believe that during the time of Jesus and thereafter, his followers were highly persecuted? The government they were subjected to was far harsher than anything we have ever seen in America. Sure, we are concerned about the direction our country has taken, the betrayal of the foundational principles of this nation by those we elect, the moral condition of Americans. But we need not fear it. We do need to pray and act without fear if we are to have any hope of turning it around. As Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men.” Do not fear.
 
Ephesians 6:11-13 says, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand.” As Peter wrote in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Put on your armor of light. Do not fear.

I don’t know about the health benefits of Oreos. But experts tell us there are health benefits from exercise. And just as we need to work out physically, we also need to work out spiritually, if you will.
 
The apostle Paul wrote, “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:12–13 NKJV).
 
We need to work out what God has worked in. Notice that Paul didn’t say, “Work for your salvation” because salvation is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8–9 tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (NKJV).
 
I know that God has forgiven my sin and that I will go to Heaven when I die because I believe His promises and have received His gift of eternal life. If you haven’t received that gift yet, you can ask Jesus Christ to come into your life. He’s just a prayer away.
 
So then, what does it mean to work out your own salvation? Remember, Paul was writing to Christians. In fact, he addressed them as “all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi” (Philippians 1:1 NKJV). From the original language, work out also could be translated, “work it out,” “carry it out completely,” or “bring it to full completion.”
 
The Bible tells us that the Christian life is like running a race or being in a war. There’s effort involved. So work out and live out your own salvation.
