Errors Made by People Concerning Bible Prophecy - by pastor Mike Taylor - https://pastormiketaylor.blogspot.com/2022/04/the-difference-between-rature-and.html
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?(Revelation 6:14-17) I receive emails daily from all kinds of people with what they believe the bible is saying. Some believe that, like I do, God will intercede in the affairs of men and remove His bride, His church from the wrath to come. Others believe in a Post-tribulation model or some variation of the Church enduring persecution, martyrdom, and being present on earth when all of God’s righteous wrath is poured out on this earth. Layman who point to a proof text that they feel proves their stance is a correct one, reveal that they take the latest bible teacher, or what their denomination teaches and do not study the Word of God to prove the point by scripture in context. Let’s examine a few of the proof texts that people erroneously interpret as being the same. Proof text error example #1: Gog-Magog invasion in Ezekiel is the same invasion in Revelation at the end of the Millennium. Let’s compare the two passages and see. Let's start in Ezekiel: 2 “Son of man, set thy face unto Gog (a demon leader, notably Satan demonic inspired prince of this area), of the land of Magog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, (referring to the land north of Israel, probably modern Russia) and prophesy concerning him, 3 and thou hast said: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I `am' against thee, O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, 4 And I have turned thee back, And I have put hooks in thy jaws, And have brought thee out, and all thy force, Horses and horsemen, Clothed in perfection all of them, A numerous assembly, `with' buckler and shield, Handling swords -- all of them. 5 Persia (Iran), Cush (Ethiopia or Northern Sudan), and Phut, (Libya)with them, All of them `with' shield and helmet. 6 Gomer (central Asia Minor) and all its bands, The house of Togarmah(Southeast Turkey near the border of Syria) of the sides of the north, And all its bands, many peoples with thee,"(Ezekiel 382-6) Note my attempt to identify each of these ancient people that dare come against God’s Holy Land in parenthesis, but notice one other thing before moving on. Who is drawing this coalition of invaders? God has put hooks into their jaws, much like reeling in a fish to bring them down for judgment. Also of interest when comparing these invaders with the invaders of Psalm 83, you won’t find the names of any of these bordering nations that touch the border of Israel. These were the “inner ring” surrounding Israel that has been defeated. But now an “outer ring” of invaders are being brought down to Israel for one purpose. What is that purpose? God will make Himself known to His people that Jehovah, their God, is still on His throne and will be doing battle for them!! 16 " And thou hast come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, In the latter end of the days it is, And I have brought thee in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in thee before their eyes, O Gog. 17 Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Art thou he of whom I spake in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who are prophesying in those days -- years, To bring thee in against them? 18 And it hath come to pass, in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Come up doth My fury in My face, 19 And in My zeal, in the fire of My wrath, I have spoken: Is there not in that day a great rushing on the land of Israel? 20 And rushed from My presence have fishes of the sea, And the fowl of the heavens, And the beast of the field, And every creeping thing that is creeping on the ground, And all men who are on the face of the ground, And thrown down have been the mountains, And fallen have the ascents, And every wall to the earth falleth. 21 And I have called against him, to all My mountains a sword, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, The sword of each is against his brother. 22 And I have been judged with him, With pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, Fire and brimstone I rain on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who are with him. 23 And I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I AM, Jehovah!"(Ezekiel 38:16-23) God will make Himself known again to His people. I’ll let you read on what is the fate of this invading horde that will be decimated. Most of this vast army in the realm of 85% OR 5/6 of this invading army will be destroyed in chapter 39. Continue reading in the next few chapters and you see the details of the newly built temple, when in chapter 43, you see the entrance of the King of Kings, the Lord of Host coming into the temple via the East Gate. It notes a chronological order. A war found in chapter 38-39. The building of the Temple again, sacrifices commencing and at the end, the King of Kings returns to enter from the east gate. All events are future, but before the return of Jesus Christ. It’s part of a grand puzzle that you must assemble from the whole message of the Word of God, not just a piece. How about we turn now to the account of Gog-magog mentioned in Revelation: .7 "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."(Revelation 20:7-10) Notice the same name, but who is drawing them to the Holy Land? Who deceives them into thinking that they can kick out Jesus Christ as ruler of this earth, and make war against Mount Zion and God’s Throne upon earth? Their leader is Satan. Gog is a probably demon inspired notion that the humans born during the Millennium, called Magog will be deceived and drawn into a direct confrontation against the righteous rule of Jesus Christ on earth. And fire will come down out of heaven and consume them all who come against God's Holy City. Both examples are similar by name, Gog-Magog, and the end is sure, but they are two distinct battles of more than a 1000 years apart. Proof text Error #2. The trumpet sounded in 1st Corinthians and 1st Thessalonians, is the same trump the 7th angel sounds in Revelation. Let us again look at scripture. 51 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."(1st Corinthians 15:51-52) And again in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4: 15 "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."(1st Thessalonians 4:15-17) Note that the trump is a blast or a signal that was used even during the wilderness of the Exodus and the battle for the Promised Land. I believe this is a reference to a Jewish historical fact of the Feast of Trumpets that was used symbolically to point to the return of Jesus Christ to this earth. If you don't understand Jewish history or customs, then you won't discern what Paul is speaking of. But note if the mention the Last Trump, as noted in 1st Corinthians passage, does it mean the same as the one in Revelation? 14 "The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."(Revelation 11:14-15) What does this angel signal? He announces the beginning of the third woe and the final plagues and bowl judgments being poured out upon this earth of rebellious mankind. The imagery is much to fear, as mankind is being destroyed off the face of the earth. What is the difference between these trumpets? The first is a sign of joy and gladness and the last is a signal of WAR!! Let me elaborate. In the time of the ancient Israelites, starting even back to their forefather, Abraham, the blowing of the horns of the altar was symbolic. They were used as signals during the Exodus, during meetings/Holy Convocations the people had with God, and for signals during battle. In Numbers chapter 10 begins what the blowing of the trumpet meant. 2 "Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. 3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. 5 When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. 6 When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. 7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. 8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. 9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies."(Numbers 10:2-9) When Paul was writing about this “last trump”, he was referring to a ceremony that is part of the Jewish way of life for thousands of years. It is the Day of Trumpets, or commonly called the Feast of Trumpets. It is a Holy Day to all who observe it. It is pivotal in God's plan. We could even call it "God’s Keystone Holy Day." There are seven holy days. It is the fourth. It is right in the middle. You could say it is the dividing line between before, and after. There are three holy days that take place before the fulfillment of Trumpets, (and Jesus fulfilled them on the exact day of their observance) that particularly have to do with this present time, and then there are three holy days after Trumpets that have to do with the time to come. (God being a God of order, if He fulfilled the Spring Feast on the exact day, will He fulfill the Fall Feast on the exact day? It most likely will be so going on what God has done in the past). Here, Paul was speaking of this truth symbolically that there could be three blasts of a trumpet when Jesus Christ comes. The first trumpet sound (note that the voice of our Savior is equated to the sound of a many Trumpets, in Revelation chapter 1.) will make a call for attention. Each blast of the trumpet meant something to the Israelites in the wilderness and it meant the same thing in Paul’s time. The first blast was called the right horn, or trump/shofar of the altar. It was a loud short blast meaning attention. During the time of Israel in their land, it was blown in the Feast of Pentecost. The second trumpet call was from the left horn, or shofar from the altar of God, and it was designed to make the people ready for their marching orders. This one was blown for the beginning of the Feast of Trumpets after Israel entered the Holy Land. The final blast was a very long drawn out sound of a trumpet, called the Last Trump. It was the signal to “move out”. Oh, yes we will !! I firmly believe it is a signal of the rapture, when we will be changed instantly and join those who have died and raised from the dead to unite with our Lord and Savior, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. So come Lord Jesus!! Second, Trumpets mean different things depending on where you stand before God. To the saints, it means the beginning of all that we have ever hoped for—all that we've been promised, everlasting joy. It means salvation, eternal life and all the wonderful things that come with it. But, to the enemy of God it means violent and tragic judgment—the end of all human plans that are against God. It is a signal for war. God will make war with rebellious mankind and wipe the surface of this earth clean of sin and rebellion. In those regards, the two trumpets mentioned in Corinthians, Thessalonians, have no connection with one another when finally blown in Revelation, They are based on Pentecost and the Feast of Trumpets in the former two, a sign of the return of the King, and the latter a sign of righteous wrath commencing for total annihilation. Proof Text Error #3. The Church will endure the terror that will be poured out on this earth in righteous wrath and judgment. Those who adhere to this position called Post-Tribulation believers and they try to prove their stance by a few verses taken out of context. Here is the most common sent to me by unbelieving Christians of their desire to be amongst those being killed during this time of the last 3.5 years of Daniel’s 70th week. They point to this one section of scripture: 29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."(Matthew 24:29-31) First off, if we were here, we would not be mourning the return of the Son of Man, we would be rejoicing. But beside that, I’m reminded of the verses in Malachi chapter 3: 1 "Behold, I will send my messenger (two witnesses?), and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years."(Malachi 3:1-4) I’ve often stated and I will state again, the tribulation is designed for two things, and two things only. The 1st is the removal of sin and all rebellion of those who live on the face of the earth, by fire, by famine, and by divine wrath poured out on the people of this earth. The 2nd reason is the refining of Israel into a nation ready to accept their Messiah. He will make Himself known to them and they will weep bitterly. Zechariah chapter 12: 9 "And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."(Zechariah 12:9-10) To accomplish this returning of Israel to recognizing their Messiah, God will ordain 144,000 evangelists from the 12 tribes of Israel and enlist His two witnesses for the week of years called the tribulation: Revelation chapter 7, 2 "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."(Revelation 7:2-4) These are the called of God, who believe in their Messiah and spread the Gospel to all the remaining world. Who is their focus? I believe it is the Jewish people who have rejected their Messiah for 2000 years, because in the very next breath of scripture it says: 9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."(Revelation 7:9-17) Note the immediate difference in these people redeemed and the promise made the the Church, or the family of God. In verse 15 above it speaks that they are BEFORE the throne and they serve Him in His temple night and day, much like a Levitical priesthood. But note the palm fronds in their hands? Is it a clue of who these people are? Looking up Palm Fronds and its symbolic meaning, Wikipedia notes the following: “In Judaism, the date palm (Lulav) is one of the Four Species used in the daily prayers on the feast of Sukkot. It is bound together with the hadass(myrtle), and aravah (willow). The Midrash[3] notes that the binding of the Four Species symbolizes our desire to unite the four "types" of Jews in service of God.” The Promise made to the Church is much more distinct and glorious: Revelation chapter 5: 8 "And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:8-10) Another clue is that John starts off Revelation speaking of the 7 churches, which is symbolic for Christians down through the ages, but a dramatic shift of reference is made in chapter 4 with the revealing of the 24 elders. They are symbolic for the Church. And if that is correct, the church is not mentioned again, not one time, until chapter 19, when it speaks of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and then our return with our King of Kings riding on white horses: Revelation chapter 19, 11 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (A sign of the saints, my emphasis) (see Rev. 19: v 8!) 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treaded the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."(Revelation 19:11-16) Need More Clues? Another clue that these are Jews that have been the first fruits unto God, is when Jesus was speaking to His apostles and they were inquiring of the end of the age. 15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."(Matthew 24:15-22) Jesus was speaking of the horror that will be what Jew’s will experience when an attempt to complete what Hitler only began, as Satan wishes to destroy the Jewish people and “attempt” to make God out a liar by destroying Israel. But Revelation tells another piece of the puzzle. The woman clothed in the sun: Revelation chapter 12, 1 "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days."(Revelation 12:1-6) And further down in the same chapter: 12 "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. 13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. (the woman is Israel)" Simply put, this is the time of the refining of Israel. The focus on Israel is continuous, if you take the puzzle and piece it together. So when Jesus comes with His angels to “gather His saints from the four winds” who is He speaking of? Correct, tribulation saints, Jewish people who received their Messiah, and resurrection of those who believed unto the death and did not take the mark of the beast, but were slain.. DON'T PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE DURING THIS TIME. Sadly, many Christians today want a sign when they should get serious about living for God. They say, “when I see things get really bad, then I’ll start acting like a Christian.” What a dangerous gamble with your eternal destination. Jesus said that there would be no sign, except as it was in the days of Noah. Sluggish Christian take notice: Matthew 24: “But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” It will be a time, when all the world is going about their usual daily behavior, until suddenly and without warning, the Rapture takes place and millions upon millions of people instantly disappear to forever be with the Lord. We should not be slumbering, as being foolish to think that when signs get really bad, then we will change our ways and act like a Christian. Paul said in 1st Thessalonians chapter 5:: 2 "For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"(1st Thessalonians 5:2-9) Conclusion and a challenge I’m going to repeat what I spoke of in times past, of what I wrote and I want you to think very hard on this truth with a few additional statements: a. If you think you can change your ways before Christ comes or can wait till things get bad before you get serious about this Man called Jesus, then you simply fool yourself. b. If you in all Biblical error of proof texting think that the Bride of Christ must have the soup beat out of her, before Jesus finally comes to marry her, then you don’t understand the love relationship that Jesus has for the TRUE church, His family, and His elected of God. c. Finally, if you feel that God in all His wrath must purify the church with the plagues, the bowl judgments, and the tribulation that will nearly extinguish all of mankind, then my friend you believe that Jesus Christ and His sacrifice of His precious blood and body did not complete the salvation of all who call upon the name of the Lord in repentance and obedience unto a new life. My reader, if you take that position, then you have much more serious problems of who the angels will be coming to gather from the four corners of the earth upon the return of Jesus Christ to reign and rule for a 1000 years than the timing of God’s removal of the Church from this planet. I pray that you make that commitment to live like Jesus could come at any moment, because He just might for the next sound we may hear is a trumpet blast. So “lift up your heads, for our redemption draweth nigh” 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13) Don't make that mistake that you have time to get serious about Jesus Christ, as God made each of us for one purpose. And that is “ what will you do with the Son of God who came into the world to save those who are lost and accept His free gift of mercy and grace”? No matter what position you take, I preach that Jesus will come in two part harmony and will complete what He started two thousand years ago, to reclaim His creation bought with His own blood and will destroy all sin upon this earth. This leading into a new heaven and new earth into eternity to be part of the God family forevermore.. This is Pastor Mike Taylor, wishing God’s salvation in your life. Will Passover 2022 Have Major End Times Implications? - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/will-passover-2022-have-major-end-times-implications/ Passover is nearly upon us, and most people around the globe understand that this time of the year has deep significance for both Christians and Jews. But this year I will be on particularly high alert throughout Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and all the way to Pentecost. All throughout the Bible, big events often happened during God’s appointed times, and I believe that will also be true during this period of history. Of course I am not saying that any particular event will happen on any particular day, but what I am saying is that as we get deeper into the end times we should be watchful during the special days that God has specifically designated on His calendar. Personally, I am going to be watching Israel very closely. There has been so much violence in Jerusalem lately, and Palestinian terror groups are calling on their followers to go to the Temple Mount on Friday for more protests… Leaders of several Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip have called on Palestinians to converge on al-Aqsa Mosque compound (Temple Mount) on Friday to protect it against “provocations by Zionist criminals.” The call came after an emergency meeting of faction leaders on Wednesday evening in the office of Hamas’s Gaza leader, Yahya Sinwar, in Gaza City. So why are they so upset? Well, it turns out that there are rumors that someone may try to conduct a Passover sacrifice… The meeting was held amid claims by Palestinians that “extremist Jews” were planning to conduct ritual sacrifices on Temple Mount during the Passover holiday. It has been nearly 2,000 years since a Passover sacrifice was conducted on the Temple Mount, and so such a gesture would be extremely significant. In fact, one Jewish group is reportedly offering cash rewards to anyone that attempts to conduct a Passover sacrifice on the Temple Mount… Returning to the Mountain, a movement dedicated to “redeeming the Temple Mount,” on Monday posted a provocative announcement: “Making the Passover sacrifice where and when it was intended,” meaning, of course, on the Temple Mount, on the first evening of Passover. The poster continues: “You didn’t succeed? You were arrested – You won!” And the text explains: “In light of the Hamas threats and the police objection to let us make the Passover sacrifice in its due time in an approved manner – join the attempts to make the Passover sacrifice and receive a financial reward!” Here’s the rate card, according to the same poster: “You got busted? NIS 400 ($124); Busted with a lamb or baby goat? NIS 800 ($248); Succeeded in making the sacrifice? NIS 10,000 ($3,100).” Even if nobody attempts a sacrifice, I anticipate that there will be more violence in Jerusalem in the coming days. And I actually think that there is a very high probability that a major war will erupt in the Middle East this year. Hopefully such a war will not erupt in the next few weeks, but the truth is that one could literally start at any time. Meanwhile, I am also watching for any other events of special spiritual significance in the land of Israel. As I noted above, major historic events often fall during God’s appointed times. For example, for more than a thousand years in advance God held a “dress rehearsal” for the crucifixion of Jesus the Messiah every single year in the exact city where it would happen and on the exact day it would happen. Every year, those that believed in the one true God would gather in Jerusalem for Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and they would conduct rituals which foreshadowed the death of Jesus on the cross. Most people have heard that Jesus is “the Lamb of God”, but the vast majority of them don’t understand what that really means. All the way back during the very first Passover, God had the people of Israel kill lambs and put the blood on their doorposts. Why the doorposts? Well, the truth is that it was prophetic. Just think about it. Even today, what material are most doorposts made from? Wood. And where does wood come from? Needless to say, it comes from a tree. So during that very first Passover, God’s message to the people of Israel was that the blood of the lamb on the tree covered them from the wrath of God. Does that sound familiar? It should, because it is the message of the cross. And the timing of the events of the crucifixion of Jesus very closely mirrored the timing of Jewish Passover rituals. The following comes from Skywatch TV… Jesus was thoroughly examined by the Pharisees, Sadducees, and scribes for four days and found to be spotless (1 Peter 2:22), just as the Passover lamb for Seder was continuously examined for four days to ensure perfection before the sacrifice. After the building of the temple, when the Jews would gather en masse, preparations took more time to complete, and all the Passover lambs would have to be gathered and tied to their altars at 9 o’clock in the morning in order for the families to assemble to sing the Psalms. Nine in the morning was the same time Jesus would be nailed to the cross. In order for the lamb to be prepared in time for the feast, however, it needed to be slain at 3 o’clock in the afternoon—the same time of day Jesus died. Isn’t that remarkable? Just before the Passover when Jesus died, he delivered a long discourse on the end times that we can find in Matthew 24. In particular, I would like for you to pay attention to verses 6 through 8… 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Jesus was describing the times just before He returns, and we are living in those times. Are there wars and rumors of wars? Oh yes, and things are about to intensify even more. In fact, the Biden administration just announced that it will be sending an additional 800 million dollars worth of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine… Following a call with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President Joe Biden announced Wednesday his administration is authorizing an additional $800 million for weapons and ammunition for Ukraine, including artillery and armored personnel carriers, as it braces to defend itself from an expected new Russian offensive. Pentagon press secretary John Kirby walked reporters through the aid package in an afternoon press briefing, saying it includes “new capabilities that we have not provided to Ukraine.” And the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the U.S. will “significantly expand the intelligence it is providing to Ukraine’s forces”… The Biden administration is moving to significantly expand the intelligence it is providing to Ukraine’s forces so they can target Moscow’s military units in Russian-occupied Donbas and Crimea, part of a shift in U.S. support that also includes a new security assistance package with heavier weaponry. We are getting ourselves more deeply involved in this conflict, and that is an extremely dangerous game to be playing. Of course there are more major wars that could soon begin as well. As I have discussed previously, I believe that a major war in the Middle East will soon erupt, I believe that China will eventually decide to invade Taiwan, and I believe that North Korea is looking for an opportunity to invade South Korea. Meanwhile, we are being warned that famines will soon be breaking out all over the globe. For much more on this, please see my recent article entitled “20 Facts About The Emerging Global Food Shortage That Should Chill You To The Core”. And we are definitely living during a time of “pestilences” as well. China has just instituted some frightening new lockdowns because the number of COVID cases has spiked to a new all-time high in that nation, and the bird flu pandemic that has erupted in the United States has killed more than 28 million chickens and turkeys in just over two months. We really are living in the end times, and things are going to get much, much worse than they are now in the months and years ahead. But even in the midst of all the chaos and darkness, God is going to be doing amazing things. So be watchful during Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Pentecost. God’s calendar has always been prophetic all throughout human history, and we are living during extremely prophetic times. Let the Wicked Return to the Lord - by Kevin D. Gardner - https://tabletalkmagazine.com/posts/let-the-wicked-return-to-the-lord/ In the book of Isaiah, there is an abrupt transition at chapter 40. After many chapters of pronouncing judgment and the need for restoration, the prophet shifts gears: “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins” (Isa. 40:1–2). So begins what has aptly been called the Book of Comfort or the Book of Consolation—Isaiah 40–66, a glorious recitation of God’s affection for His people and His promises of blessing for them. In the midst of the Book of Comfort is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. Isaiah 55 begins with a plea from God: “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price” (v. 1). The invitation—echoed later in Jesus’ words in John 4 and 6—is almost too good to be true. Who would believe that someone would offer food for free? And if someone did, surely the food would not be worth eating. But no. God goes on to plead with His hearers to forsake their practice of pursuing food that does not satisfy: “Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy?” He then reveals the goodness of the food that He offers: “Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live” (Isa. 55:2–3). The food is rich, and it is good. It is no earthly food; this food, the food that truly satisfies, is the Word of God. The one who listens to God will be filled. This is not a call to abandon all other interests than the Lord but rather a call to recognize Him as the highest pursuit. Where are we ultimately finding satisfaction? In success, money, or power? Or in the One who made us, who knows us, and who calls us to Himself? The things of this world cannot ultimately satisfy, because they were not made to. We are called to forsake our empty, unfulfilling, self-focused endeavors and to come to God and be satisfied. God offers this rich food to His people, the Israelites. The offer is in keeping with His promises to them in the past, as He notes by referencing His covenant with David in verses 3–4. The richness of the Word of God as revealed to Israel is so attractive that other nations will come to hear it (v. 5). For Israel, it is easy to hear this Word. But still, they are urged to “seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near” (v. 6). But the call to seek the Lord, as hinted at in verse 5, does not go out only to Israel; it goes out to the nations as well. All nations and all peoples are called to seek the Lord. Moreover, “the wicked” are called to seek the Lord: “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon” (v. 7). To the ancient Israelites, “the wicked” referred to those from the surrounding nations, the very people referred to in verse 5. They were the ones who did not know or serve the Creator of heaven and earth. And yet, here is a call for mercy, for pardon, for the very people who had oppressed God’s chosen nation. Sometimes, we have a hard time thinking that God could ever reach a certain person. He is too bad or she is too far gone for God to reach, we think. This was how the Israelites thought of the gentile nations. Despite the fact that the call to minister to the nations was built into Israel’s very makeup (Gen. 12; 1 Kings 8), the Israelites had a hard time carrying out that mission. There was no way that God could reach those people. And furthermore, they didn’t deserve mercy. Their punishment was just. Right? Wrong. God rebukes such thinking in the next verse. To those who think they know the way that God ought to operate, how He ought to dispense His mercy, God says: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa. 55:9). While we’re busy dividing “us” from “them” or “the righteous” from “the wicked,” it’s easy to miss one simple fact: we are the wicked. This verse is often generalized to speak of God’s being something other than us. He is the Creator, and we are the creature. He is, by definition, higher than us, and we cannot access His thoughts. He has made Himself known to us, so to that extent, we can know the mind of God, and based on that, we can try to reason the way that He does—to think God’s thoughts after Him. But we cannot think in precisely the same way that He thinks. While this verse can certainly be generalized legitimately, it’s important that we recognize the context in which it occurs. God is not speaking of His thoughts as generally higher than ours. He is speaking of His thoughts as higher than our thoughts specifically when it comes to how “the wicked” should be viewed—that is, “the wicked” are to be called to return to the Lord and to be welcomed. This was likely a shock to the Israelites, and it can be shock to us, too. It’s easy to fall into the trap of dividing “us” from “them” and of thinking of “them” as unworthy. When we do that, we run the risk of placing our thoughts higher than God’s thoughts, thinking that we know better than He does. But God delights to show mercy—and it’s a good thing for us that He does. While we’re busy dividing “us” from “them” or “the righteous” from “the wicked,” it’s easy to miss one simple fact: we are the wicked. The Israelites began to think that they were better than the nations, but they weren’t, and they should have known that (see Deut. 9:4–6). We also are not more righteous in ourselves than those who do not know Christ, yet God in His mercy has provided righteousness for us (Rom. 5:8; 2 Cor. 5:21). The story of the Old Testament is God’s calling a wicked people to Himself and accomplishing His purposes in spite of their wickedness. God does this by means of His Word, the very same “rich food” we are called to eat in Isaiah 55:2. This Word in verses 10–12 is likened to the rain and snow that water the earth. As the rain causes plants to grow, so the Word of God makes things happen: “It shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it” (v. 12). This active, generative Word is God’s revelation in Scripture and especially in the person and work of Christ. The next verses tell us what the Word accomplishes: creation joins in song in praise of the Creator, and new life springs forth in a reversal of the curse of Genesis 3 (Isa. 55:12–13). This new life happens not only in the new heavens and new earth but also in the fallow ground of human hearts when they are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. For the sake of His own glory God does this: “It shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off” (v. 13). Praise God that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts, for He has brought us, the wicked, near to Him, that we might feast on His rich food. And praise Him for the power of His Word, which has brought us to new life. May our lives shine forth the glory of His name. Could It Be Today? - By Holly Spate - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/04/12/could-it-be-today-by-holly-spate/ There is a dark cloud hanging over America… a dark cloud that extends beyond our borders, reaching into every country on earth. Never before, since the days of Noah, has the world been in so much chaos. Everything appears upside down… good is called evil, and evil is called good. It is a time of uncertainty… an unsettling time, driving people to a perpetual state of fear and panic. It seems every day that a new crisis is unfolding both at home and abroad. It is difficult to keep up, as things seem to be racing forward. We are hearing of wars and rumors of wars as the Bible talks about. We are being told to prepare for food shortages and continued inflation. We are hearing plans of open borders and the demise of the dollar. Those who are paying attention to true news sources (although hard to find these days) are learning a little more about our leaders and their backdoor deals, secret agendas, planned chaos, and obsession with riches, control and power. Critical race theory is being pushed, history is being erased, men are being invited into women’s locker rooms, and the nominee for Supreme Court Justice can’t define what a woman is. Rioters get rewarded while peaceful protesters are targeted. Sanctuary cities are forming, not to protect the unborn but to protect those who wish to abort their unborn child. Things are truly upside down and inside out. Aside from salvation in Christ, life is the greatest gift God has ever given. A society that no longer values life is a society that is the most depraved and darkest imaginable. This is a prime example of “love waxing cold”…very cold. Matthew 24:3-14 speaks of the condition of the world right before Christ’s return: “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. “All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” We are seeing all these things converging at increased speeds. Every day, selfishness takes center stage, and the love of many is freezing over. We are witnessing the unraveling of morality in the world and seeing, with our own eyes, scripture jumping out of the Bible and into our everyday newsfeeds. Believers and unbelievers alike know something is happening. Evil appears to be in full swing and on steroids. We are learning of nefarious plans by those who have hidden in the shadows for years and are now emerging from the dark to implement their desires in broad daylight. We are told a new world order is coming full speed and we will one day, very soon, be enslaved and own nothing and be completely happy about it. Those who plan for the demise of all things good are wide awake…. they seem to never rest or sleep. Psalm 36:1-4 says, “The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.” The blatant sin and war against all peoples and things good and godly are evident and in our faces 24/7. As evil waxes worse, we are reminded that these things must happen before the time of the end of the age. As Jan Markell likes to say, “Things aren’t falling apart; they are falling into place.” So thankful for God… who knows the beginning from the end and is in full control at all times! If we have Him, we have everything and nothing to fear. In the midst of all that’s taking place in the world around us, we are lovingly reminded in scripture that we are not to be surprised or fearful at what we are seeing. We are to be at peace and not afraid as we put on the armor of God and continue to trust our heavenly Father in ALL things. He is our provider, comforter, protector, healer and Father. He promises to take good care of His children despite what’s going on around us. Be Encouraged: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10). “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee” (Isaiah 41:13). “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). “But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine” (Isaiah 43:1). “And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8). “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4). “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7). “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” (Psalm 118:6). The Bible is clear…. Jesus is clear and tells us in advance what is expected. Therefore, we should not be alarmed. All we are seeing in the world today should confirm clearly to us that God’s Word is 100% true. As we see all these things coming together, it should stir us to get our houses in order, pray for the lost, and share the gospel while we still can. Brothers and Sisters in Christ… our time on this earth may be fast approaching. No one knows the day or hour, but we do know the rapture is imminent. Our King is coming; our redemption draweth nigh. Are you ready? Could it be today? [email protected] Daily Jot: Truth perishes while lies flourish - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com China has been hit with an onslaught of some variant of COVID and has ruthlessly locked down people reportedly without food and water. This is the type of thing that we Americans can look at as if we were looking in a mirror. Overarching government authority is a threat to everyone’s freedom. It’s the truth. Truth is the only weapon against the misinformation and political decision making by governments that flies in the face of common sense. Here, back in America, Joe Biden has “extended” for two weeks the mask mandate for public travel, even though his COVID Czar Dr. Anthony Fauci has told us on and off again that masks are ineffective. I guess it makes people feel like they are doing something. Just to take a peek inside Fauci’s head, and some of the nonsense that fills his policymaking, we can examine a Fauci quote from a Wednesday interview with MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” Fauci said, “The problem is the vaccines they’ve been using are not nearly as effective as the vaccines used in the United States, UK, EU, and other places. So, they don’t have the degree of protection that’s optimal. Also, they have a lot of their older population, which are the most vulnerable among us, and so, there’s a double negative there. One, they don’t have people who are protected, and B, the people who need it most, are not getting the vaccination. That’s the source of the problem in China.” Once again, the Fauci/media narrative is providing the misinformation. Fauci is saying that China’s problem is that their vaccines are not as effective as those in the US. That implies that the US vaccines are effective. People, wake up. The vaccines used in the US are not as advertised. They do not protect from getting COVID. They do not protect from transmitting COVID. They do not prevent hospitalization from COVID. And the claim that the vaccines will prevent death is still unproven because the Fauci-mandated hospital protocols used to treat COVID are known to cause death. A myriad of studies such as those in the journal Toxicology Reports and the European Journal of Epidemiology among others find that COVID 19 case rates are “completely unrelated to vaccination rates.” The European Journal of Epidemiology study analyzed White House COVID-19 Team data for US counties and cross-country data from 68 countries. Mathematically, the study concluded higher vaccination rates were associated with a slight increase in cases. The CDC data documents over 30,000 spontaneous reports of either hospitalizations and/or deaths among the fully vaccinated. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) data show 300,000 vaccinated CMS recipients have been hospitalized with breakthrough infections. These reports, and probably this Daily Jot, likely will be censured by the Fauci power cabal. Proverbs 29:2 says, “But when the wicked rule, the people mourn.” And people die. And people are lied to. And the truth is oppressed. Truth perishes. Lies flourish. It’s time to wake up and speak up. Daily Devotion: A Suffering Savior - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted —Isaiah 53:4 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/a-suffering-savior/ - Listen Why did Jesus have to suffer as He did? We understand that He had to be nailed to a cross because the Bible prophesied this. But why did He suffer? We follow a suffering Savior. In fact, Isaiah 53 gives this description of what Christ went through: “He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; . . . Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted” (Isaiah 53:3–4 NKJV). Then Isaiah gives us the reason Jesus suffered: “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV). You see, Jesus voluntarily suffered in our place. It’s hard for us to think of a perfect Creator going through something as human as pain and suffering. But God has suffered more deeply than anyone could imagine. That’s why the Bible calls Jesus a “Man of sorrows.” He suffered because He loves us. This also means that He can enter into your suffering as well. Maybe you’re in a state of personal anguish today. There’s something that is causing you a great deal of pain. Jesus has been there. He has walked in your shoes. Hebrews 2:17 tells us, “It was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people” (NLT). Don’t think that God is disconnected from what you’re facing. Jesus has faced it. He has experienced it. He understands. You’re not alone in your suffering today. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity!
