Everything, Everywhere, All At Once – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/everything-everywhere-all-at-once
WITH all of the last days' economic, political, and military convergences. With all of the prophetic signs flooding our newspapers and newsfeeds on an hourly basis. With the impending collapse of Western Civilization being a mere cataclysm away from happening. With everything prophetic happening everywhere, all at once going on, the one nagging question that keeps rolling around in the back of my brain is, who is going to take care of my dogs when we go up? Seriously. I think about this. I'm not a dog person, and yet we have eight. I guess you can say my wife has a soft spot for our four-legged friends. And with five children, every child needs their own dog. I can't emphasize needs enough. And yet, here we are...in the last moments of the last days, and I'm sweating whether or not I should cage them or not when I leave the house for any extended period of time. It seems, if I cage half the group, the other half behaves. If I don't cage them at all, they act like a raving band of lunatics who's never been inside a house before. Nevertheless, the question of whether I should sweat the cage question, or not, is something an increasing number of watchers are faced with. That is how close to the end we are. Right now, there are at least nineteen existential threats that are currently hanging over our collective heads like a giant boulder teetering on the edge of a cliff on the San Andreas faultline. Crazily enough, none of these threats include Covid, transgendered bathroom rights, or man-made climate change. However, for the sake of argument, here are said nineteen existential threats to both our nation and the world:
I'm sure there are many other black swan events out there that are equally serious threats we don't even know about, but these were just some of the things I could think about off the top of my head. Each one of these, in and of itself, are extremely serious threats that have the potential to upend life as we know it. Incredibly, these are also the very things our government is not taking seriously at present. Our current government seems more concerned with making our military more inclusive than they are on whether the Chinese or Russians have doubled the size of their navy or successfully test fired (and used) hypersonic missiles. If our government spent a fraction of the time and energy on any one of these nineteen that they do with the ridiculously fallacious global cooling, global warming, climate change "threat," I would feel a little better. It would mean that somewhere up there in the bowels of government, adults were involved. Instead, we have the never-ending parade of environmentalist doomsday prophets with prediction track records worse than Harold Camping. These global utopians are enthusiastically willing to suicide the American economy and subsequently, the world's, because 50 years from now, the ocean temperatures might rise one-half of one degree. The environmentalist fear-mongering has been at a fever pitch for at least the last twenty years, and this forthcoming catastrophism apparently has former president Barak Hussein Obama so upset by the possibility of rising sea levels, that he sacrificially bought an $11.75M house at Martha's Vineyard (on the coast) in 2019 to mourn its impending destruction. Source: https://vineyardgazette.com/news/2019/12/04/president-obama-buys-home-edgartown-great-pond I don't know about you, but it sort of feels like we are watching a massive parade of liberal/progressive lemmings defiantly marching off a cliff. Not only that, but the suicidal lemmings have coopted our elected and unelected "leaders" into joining them in destroying the current world order all because of a make-believe threat that might happen someday...maybe. That's not just throwing the baby out with the bathwater, that's taking a sledgehammer to the sink and then burning the house down to spite the couple who had the baby. These are exactly the kind of people Paul is speaking of in Romans chapter one, who suffers from the divine punishment of being 'given over' to a debased mind and are no longer able to reason or think clearly. The fact that we have the lunatics running the asylum leaves little doubt as to why he said the last days would be "perilous times" (2 Tim 3:1). These same people who are so upset about the theoretical climate cataclysm that they are setting themselves on fire, committing acts of vandalism and terrorism, and essentially throwing their lives away as "martyrs" for a lie. There is, even now, a growing cadre of environmentalist legislators and celebrities who are now championing the absurd idea that we should convert all of our meat and wheat-based agricultural industries, for insect-based food economies. This is based on agendas pushed by the United Nations nearly ten years ago. "In 2014, the United Nations (UN) and the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) put out a white paper — hundreds of pages. The title of the white paper was Edible Insects - Future prospects for food and feed security," he said. "And the UN and the FAO concluded in this document if insects do not enter the food chain, traditional protein farming will destroy the planet. We use all our rainforests to grow feed for all the meat we eat. You know, most of our rainforest is being taken down to grow feed for our purposes. So it's, unfortunately, a very unsustainable system that is rapidly causing havoc on our planet." The push to save "Mother Earth," or Gaia, has gone through cycles of popularity before, but never one with such political momentum as of now. To be fair, the UN, the WEF, and numerous private and corporate entities have warned us that they are in the last push for the Great Reset to happen no later than 2030. For them, 2030 is the do-or-die date to get the world back on "the right track" or else, face extinction. Geez, when have we heard that before? Speaking of global calamities, there is one I haven't mentioned yet, the twentieth, which I believe is not only likely but inevitable. Not only is it inevitable, but it is also certain to happen. Not only is it certain to happen, but it is also certain to happen very soon. Not only is it certain to happen soon, but it is one calamity that the world adamantly refuses to believe can ever happen. That calamity is the Rapture of the Church. Not only will every born-again believer be removed from the earth simultaneously but also every child under the age of accountability (IMHO under the age of 20). This sudden disappearance also includes everyone born with Down Syndrome and/or other degenerative cognitive conditions. For the first time in two thousand years, there will be no believers or "innocents" left on planet earth. The following seven+ years after the Rapture, will literally be, hell on earth. All of the things these environmentalist fundamentalists have been railing about for the past sixty years will be dumped back on their heads. Naturally speaking, global temperatures will rise. The oceans will be turned to blood. Islands will be sunk, triggering countless tsunamis that will ravage the coastlines. The air will be so filled with smoke and ash, that it will blot out the light from the sun, moon, and stars. The trees and grass will be burnt up, and the rivers will turn poisonously bitter. Supernaturally speaking, demons and demonic armies will march across the land wiping out millions, as men will be given over to their most base and wicked desires. The governments of the world will become impossibly totalitarian as they introduce increasingly draconian measures to maintain control of a world spinning out of control. And just when things couldn't get worse, they do. The armies of the world will gather in Israel and will attempt to destroy the last remnant of Jewish people, when all of a sudden, the skies peel open (the earth spinning counter to the normal rotation of the heavens) and Christ will return in power and glory with the armies of heaven in tow. Here, He destroys the armies in such a bloodbath, that it creates a 200-mile river of blood that is as high as a horse's bridle. The end has come and Jesus will judge the remaining nations separating them like one would separate the sheep from the goats. After six thousand years, dominion is finally stripped from Satan's slimy grip, and a new world order is restored. Jesus, the rightful ruler, reclaims His dominion over the earth and restores it back to its original paradisaical conditions. He establishes His throne in Jerusalem and exalts it as the head of nations. The Church, now glorified and immortal, serves as part of the royal family ruling and reigning with the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. But for now, we live in this fallen-down kingdom. A kingdom that is shrouded in darkness and beset by sin, corruptness, wickedness, violence, and debauchery. Even worse, is the escalation of all these things because they are coming in waves with increasing frequency and intensity that are seemingly wearing or grinding down the saints. Just remember. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you...Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:7-12, 16-18 PS: All dogs don't go to heaven, but they do go to the kingdom. I am a firm believer that whatever happens to my dogs in this life I will see them again in the kingdom. We know dogs aren't allowed in the New Jerusalem (or at least it seems this way), but there will be the earth below wholly renovated back to Eden-like conditions that they can run and explore and be the happiest dogs they've ever been, forevermore. The Evangelical Church Has Accommodated The Spirit Of This Age - By David Fiorazo - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-evangelical-church-has-accommodated-the-spirit-of-this-age/ I’ve been seeking a better understanding of apostasy over the last century or so and I’m learning a lot! When I showed my pastor an image depicting the compromise and falling away of the American church from the Word of God, he confirmed what I had been investigating. Pastor Kevin Minske (DePere, WI, Christ the Rock Church) stated: “Everything comes down to the inerrancy (and authority) of the scriptures. Without its absolute authority we have NO standard of truth. It has always been attacked – and always will. If the enemy cannot cause us to abandon the scriptures entirely he will at least chip away doctrinally by attacking segments to the Bible such as Creationism, exclusivity of the gospel of Jesus Christ (not ‘many ways’ to God), and others which is why doctrine matters!” Let’s start with a few examples from God’s Word. Luke 21:33 KJV – “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” Psalm 119:160 KJV – “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.” Isaiah 40:8 – “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” John 1:1-2 KJV – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” This is clearly not what most people believe today. For many, their god is self and they think they can make up their own “truth.” They rejected the God of Truth and His word! It’s no surprise in 2016, the Oxford English Dictionary declared “post-truth” to be their word of the year. Post-truth is defined as: “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Our culture is caught in the current of liberalism, moral relativism, and post-modernism which deny the truth, inspiration and reliability of Scripture. But these have crept into the church. HOW DID WE GET HERE? The Bible clearly warns about deception, doctrines of devils, false teachers, and worldly philosophies. Many have warned about these last days we find ourselves in. In several of his books, Dr. Francis Schaeffer exposed a decline of modern Christianity, and documented the negative influence of humanism and Gnostic philosophies on the church. In his book, The God Who Is There, he writes about the danger of compromise and what happens when people stop believing in the inerrancy of Scripture: “Here is the great evangelical disaster – the failure of the evangelical world to stand for truth. There is only one word for this, namely accommodation: the evangelical church has accommodated the spirit of this age. First there has been accommodation of Scripture, so that many who call themselves evangelicals hold a weakened view of the Bible and no longer affirm the truth of all that it teaches – truth not only in religious matters but in matters of science, history, and morality.” Most of us have secured our foundations on the Rock of Christ, the Cornerstone. We know and understand the authority of Scripture. We know the attack on God and truth is an attack on the person of Jesus Christ! We stillmust strive to be good Bereans. Acts 17:10-12 KJV – “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.” What are “these things”? Acts 17:2-3 answers this question: Acts 17:2-3 KJV – “And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Opening and alleging [explaining and giving evidence], that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.” SADLY, just a few months ago, George Barna revealed some tragic news about the alarming decline in biblical worldview among pastors and church leaders. A majority (62%) do not even believe the Bible they preach from on Sunday mornings. Here’s a conclusion reached by Barna, who stated: “It certainly seems that if America is going to experience a spiritual revival, that awakening is needed just as desperately in our pulpits as in the pews; …This [research] is another strong piece of evidence that the culture is influencing the American church more than Christian churches are influencing the culture;” There it is. Some of us have been sounding the alarm on this for decades! This brings up many theological and practical questions such as; ‘What has happened to the salt and light? Why are so many pastors unwilling to teach the whole counsel of God, address Bible prophecy, discipleship, confront evil, and expose darkness? Still another poll on faith clearly shows that we have regressed from a time when nearly all American adults (98%) believed in God (until 1967), to today when, for example, only 68 percent of young adults between 18 and 29 believe. So now, a new Gallup Poll maintains this theme of apostasy. The headline: “Belief in the Inerrancy of Scripture Rapidly Declining” Results: a record low of Americans now think the Bible is actually and literally God’s Word. Just 20% now believe the Bible is the literal word of God Like Barna, the new Gallup poll also indicates that it’s not the church or Christians who are impacting people’s worldview and perceptions of the Bible. It’s the enemy. The inerrancy of Scripture is foundational to Christianity, and here we have more evidence that deception and falling away from the truth often begins with doubting. Genesis 3, ‘Did God really say…” Rejecting the authority, inspiration, sufficiency, and perfection of the Bible. Also in the Gallup poll, almost 30% of Americans now think the Bible is merely a collection of “fables, legends, history, and moral precepts recorded by man.” Yes, the Bible does contain moral guidelines, but is full of extremely accurate history which is proven by archaeology and confirmed by secular historians including Josephus. So – Scripture is divine, not simply historic. And yes, the Bible was written by men: 66 different books compiled by 40 writers over a time span of 1,500 years on three different Continents – whose author was and is the Holy Spirit. QUESTION: If an all-powerful God created heaven, earth, and all things, don’t you think He could communicate His message using people He created? Hebrews 1:1-2 KJV – “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” 2 Peter 1:16-21 KJV – “For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” God spoke to Moses, Habbakuk, Isaiah, Daniel, and John saying, “write these words,” or “write down the revelation.” These and others were men “carried along by the Spirit” of God to accurately record His words. 2 Peter 2:1-3 KJV – “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” Vs 16 – Eyewitnesses: For centuries, the apostles and writers of the New Testament have been scrutinized, checked, and have been found truthful. Vs 19 – The “prophetic word” refers to the entire O.T. not just the prophets. There are at least 332 distinct Old Testament predictions regarding the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled perfectly. This evidence, from a statistical perspective, is absolutely overwhelming! Note Peter clearly ranks Scripture over human experience; (the word made more sure) – more complete, permanent, and authoritative. Which you do well to heed: When we consider the prophetic testimony to Jesus; Vs 20 – “know this first.” Emphasis on God’s truth. Its meaning is evident and can be confirmed by others. The point is not about how to interpret the Bible, but how Scripture originated and what was its source! Vs 21 – Moved by the Holy Spirit: carried along… the ancient prophets did not even know the meaning of what they themselves wrote. They were taken beyond themselves by the influence of the Divine Spirit; The Bible is not an invention of man or the product of human effort! However, God used each writer’s personality, thought process, and vocabulary to communicate the exact message God wanted to record. The original copies of these writings are therefore, inspired and without error. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV – “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” Peter also warned that “Scoffers will come…” For example, you may have someone reason like this: how could a guy named Jonah have been swallowed by a big fish only to repent and become a preacher of righteousness? They see it as a fable or an imaginative story. How did Jesus refer to Jonah? As literal historic truth (Luke 11:29-30). Jesus mentioned Jonah three times in two verses. Matthew 12:40-41 KJV – “For as Jonas [Jonah] was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.” Jesus affirms the historicity of the Bible. All of Scripture is inerrant and authoritative. BRIEF GLIMPSE OF CHURCH HISTORY In his book, New Evangelicalism, author, Paul Smith exposed the seeds that corrupted major denominations in America and conservative believers within some of those churches. He explains how – at that time – Christians couldn’t agree how to respond to liberalism and cultural Marxism invading culture and threatening to infiltrate the church. Descent of the Modernists The early 1900s saw the beginnings of the truth war within the Christian church in America. Doubt crept in and controversies over biblical doctrines were brewing. For our context, two opposing sides may be described as Fundamentalists and Modernists. WHAT HAPPENED? A debate in the Presbyterian Church at the time led to what was known as the “Five Fundamentals” of Christianity. The Doctrinal Deliverance of 1910 declared these fundamentals to be “necessary and essential” to the faith. These doctrines included:
Fast forward about 12 years to 1922 – exactly 100 years ago. A sermon by Harry Fosdick, a supporter and spokesman for liberal Protestantism, was a catalyst in watering down the truth and inspiration of God’s Word. He described the differences between conservative and liberal Christians in his sermon called, “Shall the Fundamentalists Win”? In response, Clarence Macartney, a conservative pastor from Philadelphia defended the truth with his own sermon published in a pamphlet entitled, “Shall Unbelief Win?” To close, Macartney cautioned about what he called “the menace of the rationalistic and modernist movement in Protestant Christianity,” and stated: “The movement is slowly secularizing the Church, and if permitted to go unchecked and unchallenged, will ere long produce in our churches a new kind of Christianity, a Christianity without worship, without God, and without Jesus Christ.” I submit to you the American church has largely been secularized by a combination of cultural influence as well as false ‘gospels.’ A “new” kind of Christianity. Galatians 1:6-8 KJV – “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Shots were fired by both sides. But in 1928, the resolution supporting the Five Fundamental doctrines was rejected by the Presbyterian Church. It’s clear today that godless ideologies, philosophy, social religion, Syncretism, Marxism, works-based righteousness, and what I refer to as the cult of liberalism have spread like a cancer through the decades and have infected many churches. God’s Holy Word – from Genesis to Revelation – is our final authority. For whatever was written in earlier times (ie; the Old Testament) was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 Romans 15:4 KJV – “For whatsoever things were written aforetime [ie; the Old Testament] were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” This hope we have is “an anchor to our souls” (Heb. 6:19). What hope? Eternal redemption, resurrection, salvation! Acts 1:9 KJV – “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-7 KJV – “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.” I would love to have heard that conversation between Jesus and his brother! What about James, an unbeliever just days prior to the resurrection? Just a few verses after the ascension of Jesus was described, Acts 1:14 gives us this little gem of truth: “All these were continually devoting themselves… to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.” Scripture supporting Jesus as the Christ is confirmed by eye-witness testimony, radical conversions, supernatural signs, manuscript evidence, and archaeology! Luke writes in Acts 1:3 that after Jesus was raised from the dead, He provided “many infallible proofs.” Many. Infallible. Proofs. Stay in the Word, brother and sister, and keep building your foundation on Jesus Christ, the Truth & Cornerstone of our faith. God’s word is perfect and can be fully trusted! Colossians 1:15-17 KJV – “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” Jesus took part in creation, He is before all things, He sustains all things, and all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him. This is the true and living Word. This is a God worthy of our worship. This is a God who invites us to His throne when in need. This is a God who bears our burdens and gives our lives meaning. This is our soon-returning King. The Numbers Tell Us That Americans Are Rapidly Losing Hope As We Head Toward 2023 - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/the-numbers-tell-us-that-americans-are-rapidly-losing-hope-as-we-head-toward-2023/ If you have hope, you can make it through just about anything that life throws your way. Unfortunately, survey after survey is telling us that the American people are increasingly losing hope. Conditions are steadily getting worse in this country, and there isn’t much confidence that our current crop of leaders can turn things around any time soon. In fact, most people appear to believe that things will be even worse in 2023. If that turns out to be the case, will our country be able to handle that? Earlier today, I was stunned to learn that a brand new survey that was just conducted by NBC News has found that a whopping 74 percent of all Americans currently believe that the nation is on the wrong track… Nearly three-quarters of Americans think the United States is heading in the wrong direction under President Joe Biden, according to yet another bad poll for the president ahead of the midterm elections. Despite grappling with low favorability ratings for much of his first term already, Biden’s popularity experienced a deep downturn in recent months amid growing pessimism over the economy. Now, a whopping 74 percent of Americans say the country is on the wrong track, while just 21 percent feel the nation is headed in the right direction, according to a new survey from NBC News. And that same survey also discovered that a solid majority of Americans are convinced that this country’s best days are now in the past… It found more than half of the respondents — 58 percent — feel ‘more worried that America’s best years may already be behind us,’ with just 35 percent thinking the best years are yet to come. Prior to the Biden administration, we never saw numbers that were anywhere close to this dismal. And even in Biden’s first year much of the population was still generally optimistic about the future. But now something has changed, and it isn’t just in the political realm. According to a new Gallup poll, the percentage of U.S. adults that are personally “thriving” has hit the lowest level in 18 months… The percentage of U.S. adults estimated to be thriving has steadily declined since it reached a record high of 59.2% in June 2021. The latest estimate of 51.2% is an 18-month low. The lowest recorded thriving rate of 46.4% was measured twice — first, in November 2008 amid the Great Recession, and second, in late April 2020, during the initial economic shutdown associated with the outbreak of COVID-19 in the U.S. So why are people so negative about things these days? Needless to say, the economy is a big factor. Inflation is out of control, the housing market is starting to crash, GDP has contracted for two quarters in a row and big companies all over America are starting to lay off workers. But economic conditions aren’t even that bad yet. If you think that things are bad now, just wait until we get to 2023 and beyond. In addition to a crumbling economy, another big reason for the widespread malaise in this country right now is the fact that our culture is visibly deteriorating all around us. If previous generations of Americans could walk through our major cities today, they would tell us that our country doesn’t even look like America anymore. Just about every form of evil that you can possibly imagine is going on right out in the open, and it seems to get worse with each passing year. Of course all of this degeneracy is reflected in the crime statistics. For example, consider what has been happening in New York City… Year to date, the top seven major violent offenses – murder, rape, robbery, felony assault, burglary, grand larceny and motor vehicle grand larceny – have increased by 36.1% from this time period of 2021, according to NYPD statistics. In the past, criminals would generally restrict themselves to the bad areas of the Big Apple, but these days crime rates are actually rising the fastest in the wealthy areas of the city… Manhattan’s 6th Precinct, which includes the wealthy neighborhoods of Greenwich Village and the West Village, is seeing an 80.2% increase in the top, seven-major crimes year to date compared to 2021. Crime has risen 65.5% year to date in the upscale 1st Precinct, which includes SOHO, Tribeca, Wall Street and the World Trade Center. There is a general feeling among those on both the right and the left that we are a society that is in decline. Everywhere you look you can see signs of this, and our quality of life is rapidly swirling down the toilet. As a result, our population as a whole is deeply, deeply depressed. In fact, it has been reported that over 37 million Americans are taking antidepressants… Whether or not more people are depressed, prescriptions for antidepressants have been on the rise. By our calculations, more than 37 million Americans are on medications like sertraline, escitalopram, bupropion, trazodone and fluoxetine. Many others try to drown their sorrows by drinking alcohol, taking illegal drugs or engaging in other addictive behaviors. If we are in this bad shape already, what is going to happen as we get much deeper into the “perfect storm” that is now upon us? In the months and years ahead, there will be global famines. In the months and years ahead, there will be more major pestilences. And in the months and years ahead, there will be more war. In fact, a top official in the UK is warning that members of the military need to be prepared to be sent to fight in Ukraine… The Army’s top “other ranks” soldier says troops must be ready to fight Russia – and should alert loved ones to a potential conflict. Warrant Officer Paul Carney warned that the UK military was now “shaping itself to meet the threat from Russia and was ready to counter any aggression”. The time had come to prepare “families and loved ones” for the possibility of being sent to the East. The days ahead are going to be incredibly challenging. But there is no other time in human history that I would have rather lived than right now. What we are facing will be the worst of times, but it will also be the best of times. All of human history has been building up to a grand crescendo, and we get to be here for it. So let us take a message of hope to a lost and dying world, because there are countless people out there that desperately need to hear such a message. Dealing with the Devil – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2022/08/22/dealing-with-the-devil/ We who see things developing from truth found in God’s prophetic Word can, I think, agree that secular (humanistic) efforts at dealing with the principalities and powers of Ephesians 6:12 aren’t working. Man trying to hold back the evil of this world has failed miserably at every level. Therefore, God’s next catastrophic intervention into earth’s history is imminent. Bible prophecy overlays the issues and events of this troubling day in an astonishing presentation that provides the forewarning. Something stupendous is about to happen! An unidentifiable, pent-up energy pervades the atmospherics of these ominous times. Every indicator that exposes the human condition points to a coming moment of truth—an impending transformation—that will alter the way things are forever. Evil permeating the current generation of earth’s inhabitants, one can sense, creates a demand that things be set aright—calls for a change that judges the bad and sets at liberty the good. Man’s Failure Winston Churchill, one of history’s greatest leaders and thinkers in the quest for world peace, framed humanism’s core hope for mankind following World War II. “A world organization has already been erected for the prime purpose of preventing war, UNO [United Nations Organization], the successor of the League of Nations, with the decisive addition of the United States and all that means, is already at work. We must make sure that its work is fruitful, that it is a reality and not a sham, that it is a force for action, and not merely a frothing of words, that it is a true temple of peace in which the shields of many nations can someday be hung up, and not merely a cockpit in a Tower of Babel. Before we cast away the solid assurances of national armaments for self-preservation we must be certain that our temple is built, not upon shifting sands or quagmires, but upon the rock.” (Robert Rhodes James, Winston S. Churchill: His Complete Speeches 1897–1963, vol. VII [NY and London: Chelsea House, 1943–49] pp.7285–7293). Churchill didn’t realize the prescience of his final words of this excerpt. The British prime minister was wrong in the first part of his statement about how to assure peace on earth, but he was on the mark—even if unwittingly—in the last part. The only way a truly peaceful world will ever be built is not on human government, not upon military might, but “upon the rock.” True, lasting peace will, in fact, be built upon the stone of Daniel 2:34, 45—the stone cut without hands that will smash to pieces the anti-God, man-made governmental system of this fallen world. That rock is none other than Jesus the Christ. Christ, alone, is able to deal with the devil as is necessary to bring all to a conclusion appointed by God. Jesus told His disciples this unalterable truth as recorded in Matthew 16:13–18. The humanistic roadmap for achieving mankind’s loftiest goals isn’t working out. Human government, as a matter of fact, is taking the world on the fast track to destruction. Babel-like Rebellion Rules Mankind exhibits the hubris of Lucifer the fallen one. Pridefulness grows in geometric progression while humanity proceeds deeper into history. Pride and rebellion in this sin-immersed world are synonymous. The world of rebels has come full-circle and stands again where the tower builders of Babel stood in the Genesis account of God’s intervention into the evil affairs of man following the Flood. Heaven’s judgment thus cannot be far in the future. The Genesis record frames the problem God confronted. “And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.” (Genesis 11:4–9) Modern-day one-world order builders have been able to circumvent the language barriers the Lord set in place to prevent the ancient tower builders from constructing the Tower of Babel. Technology makes possible instant communication from any place on earth to most any other place around the globe, no matter the language. The neo one-worlders are every bit as set on trying to usurp God’s control over mankind as were Nimrod and his cronies of that ancient time. The globalists elite today are observed at work within the United Nations, the nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and deceptive entities like the World Economic Forum (WEF). These and others engage in constant efforts to formulate a new world configuration. Their grasp for power is joined by the many social engineers and scientists who seek to foist the global-warming hoax upon the rest of humanity. Their climate-change conferences—which thus far have not reaped the economic windalls they hoped for—and lockdowns through contrived, engineered pestilences have failed miserably. Their pseudoscience, which was proved to be based upon fraudulent and contrived climate data, exposed their hubristic grab for power. Warped Worldview Pervades This generation, represented by the globalist-elite drive for one world order, fits well the description of rebellious earth-dwellers given in the final book of God’s recorded Word—Revelation. The neo-Babel builders exhibit hatred for those who want governance from the God of Heaven, not from humanistic reprobate thinking. Saints of the Tribulation era will appeal to the Lord against such “heathen,” “kings of the earth,” and “rulers” that “imagine a vain thing” as outlined in Psalms 2:1–4. Those who will have been martyred for the cause of Christ will ask the Lord a heart-wrenching question in that future time of horror: “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” (Revelation 6:10) These who “dwell on the earth” today mock God and embrace Antichrist concepts. The Antichrist spirit is alive and well, and is growing stronger in its influence. The generations that have grown with the fantastic scientific breakthroughs have a visceral pride that makes them pull from the traces that God has designed for the moral governance of humankind. Humanity, in cultures and civilizations, always seems to go through the same kind of cycle of deportment toward total rebellion and judgment. At this moment, we who “watch” things going on are like Lot of his day. We are “vexed”while the wickedness, deception, and unalloyed evil grow amongst us. God’s Word, as always, tells us how to deal with the devil and the rebelliousness while we await for and look for our blessed hope—Titus 2:13. Here is assurance from God’s Holy Word. The devil and his minions that have plagued mankind, including perpetrating their evil against Christians who are now, like Lot, vexed from day to day with their wickedness, will be dealt with in judgment. “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb…The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous. (Psalms 37:1–2, 12–17) All evil we see accumulating, with Antichrist’s foreshadow now darkening the immediate geopolitical horizon, means the Lord is about to Intervene with promised judgment and wrath. Jesus told of the exact times in which we now live in His “days of Noah, days of Lot” prophecies recorded in Luke 17:26–30. It is the Rapture of all born-again believers that will begin the process of instituting that judgment and wrath. Folks, that great event, when God will deal with the devil and his minions, both human and demonic, is on the very cusp of becoming a reality in our time. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” (Luke 21:28) Daily Jot: America’s deadly identity crisis - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com On April 6 2009, Barack Obama told the Islamic nation of Turkey at a news conference, “And I’ve said before that one of the great strengths of the United States is — although as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation; we consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.” He essentially said that we are a nation of people who do not stand for anything except for some undefined cloud of ideals and a set of values. His words underscored the drastic and dangerous spiritual and national identity crisis that America continues to face today over a decade later. The vast majority of the citizens of the United States consider themselves Christians, yet many would agree that the United States is not governed by the principles of the Bible because they do not live their lives that way, nor do they believe in hell, nor do they believe that parts of the Bible are intended for today. They also believe that America is the great melting pot where anyone with any belief system can come and call themselves by their native land with the word American following it. In 1787, John Jay wrote in “The Federalist 2” what it meant to be an American. Jay wrote, “With equal pleasure I have as often taken notice that Providence (God Almighty) has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people—a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs, and who, by their joint counsels. . .have nobly established general liberty and independence. This country and this people seem to have been made for each other, and it appears as if it was the design of Providence, that an inheritance so proper and convenient for a band of brethren, united to each other by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous, and alien sovereignties.” In George Washington’s 1796 Farewell Address, he said, “The name of American, which belongs to you in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles.” America by definition of the Founding Fathers is a Christian nation governed by secular laws whose origin was the Bible. But the Christian Americans have allowed our nation, through inaction and apathy, to become a nation with an identity crisis. It is our duty upon our honor to reverse this wrong. And as Ephesians 6:13 says, “and having done all, to stand.” I keep saying this, but it is needed. We are going to have to stand or we will be kneeling to the god of government, if we are not already doing so. Daily Devotion: Righteous Judgment - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment —John 7:24 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/righteous-judgment-2/ - Listen Years ago, I was out sharing the gospel and had a younger guy with me who was sharing his faith for the first time. We were talking to a big, burly biker with giant arms and tattoos everywhere. The biker told us, “Get out of here and leave me alone.” I said, “Let’s go.” But my friend said, “Okay, fine. We’re not going to cast our pearls before swine.” That is not the verse to quote to someone when you’re sharing the gospel. That is the verse you may think of, but it isn’t the one you quote. We do have to make an evaluation as Christians. We have to determine who the people are who don’t regard the things of God. There’s a place for judging. Judgment is the exercise of critical thinking, and judgment is needed on occasion. John 7:24 tells us, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” The Bible has told us to judge, but we are to judge by what is right. We are not to condemn, and we are not to be judgmental. Rather, we should make evaluations. We should be discerning. We should express our opinions on right and wrong, truth and lies, good and evil. In fact, the Bible tells us, “Do you not know that the saints will judge the world?” (1 Corinthians 6:2). The opposite extreme of being judgmental is the naïve acceptance of anything. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine” (Matthew 7:6). In other words, “Don’t take the holy things of God and offer them to someone who has no interest in them whatsoever.” We need to make those evaluations. It isn’t violating the Scriptures when we do.
