These are extraordinary times, and remarkable things happen every day that can be related to Bible prophecy. Here are some examples: One, concerning peace in the Middle East: on Mar. 17, 2021, the Biden administration released a document titled “The US Palestinian Reset and the Path Forward.” The document reveals Biden’s plans to force a peace treaty on Israel called the Two-State Solution. The Two-State Solution will divide the land of Israel, and God will eventually respond by dragging the nations into the Battle of Armageddon (Joel 3:2). On Mar. 23, 2021, the Middle East Quartet (UN, U.S., EU, and Russia) discussed a resumption of “meaningful negotiations” between Israel and the PA. They view the Biden presidency as an opportunity to push their desire for “peace and safety” in the Middle East. Two, concerning who is running the U.S.: on Mar. 19, 2021, Fox News Host Steve Hilton said it is not Biden. Hilton said Biden is president in name only, and his agenda is controlled by other powers in the Democrat Party. White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, recently acknowledged that Biden consults regularly with former Pres. Obama (anti-Israel, pro-Muslim, pro-Iran, etc.). Globalist hardships during the Tribulation Period will be justified because they have participated in the Biden election hoax. Three, concerning tracking everyone: on Mar. 17, 2021, Walmart announced that it has joined a global effort to provide standardized digital proof for those that have been vaccinated. Those that get vaccinated at Walmart, Sam’s Club, or other members of this global network may soon use their cell phone to prove that they have taken the required shots. The world is moving closer to requiring people to prove obedience to government to fly on a plane, attend school, buy and sell, etc. Four, also concerning the tracking of all buying and selling: on Mar. 23, 2021, it was reported that Patrick Wood, Editor of Technocracy News & Trends, said, “Once a global ID system is in place, it will be tied to every move and purchase you make, along with every psychographic and physical aspect of your life – cradle to cradle.” Globalists at the World Economic Forum (WEF) plan to take a giant leap toward a new global economic system at their “Great Reset” meetings this year (2021). Everyone will be tracked, and no one will be exempt. A value (or score) will be placed on every person’s life based on their political views, productivity, consumption, age, etc., and those that don’t meet global standards according to the globalist system will be dealt with. This system will gradually be transformed into the Mark of the Beast, but the Church won’t be here when it gets to that.
Five, concerning the days of Lot: on Mar. 23, 2021, it was reported that the city of Cambridge, Mass., has legalized polygamy (sexual relations between multiple adults in one household or family). Six, concerning a departure from the faith in the Church: on Mar. 25, 2021, it was reported that Pope Francis said, “Mary is not only the bridge joining us to God; she is more. She is the road that God travelled to reach us, and the road that we must travel in order to reach him.” Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (Jn. 14:6). Peter said, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Paul said, “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (I Tim. 2:5-6). Pope Francis clearly contradicted the Scriptures. He is also contradicting the Scriptures on World Government, World Religion, the Great Reset, gay issues, etc. John said, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (I Jn. 4:1). I am not saying Pope Francis is the False Prophet, but if he is, it is easy to see how he could align himself with the Antichrist and use his position and the Roman Catholic Church’s wealth to lead multitudes astray (Rev. 17). Seven, concerning deceit: it was recently reported that Michigan Circuit Court Judge, Kevin Elsenheimer, ordered the release of an audit of Dominion Voting systems in Antrim County, Michigan. The group that conducted the audit said: “We conclude that the Dominion Voting System is intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results.” “Based on our study, we conclude that The Dominion Voting System should not be used in Michigan.” “We further conclude that the results of Antrim County should not have been certified.” Eight, also concerning deceit: on Mar. 23, 2021, the Wisconsin Assembly passed a resolution authorizing the investigation of the 2020 Wisconsin presidential election. Democrats opposed the investigation, but the Republican-controlled Assembly passed it anyway. Republicans contend that several lawsuits brought by Trump and his supporters were not heard by the courts, and they believe there needs to be a formal investigation of the allegations of voter fraud. Nine, in late Mar. 2021, it was reported that Lil Nas X and MSCHF plan to produce 666 pairs of custom shoes (called “Satan Shoes”) with the number 666 and a verse of Scripture on the side, and a drop of human blood in each shoe. Satan is older than the creation, but people need to be aware that the coming world religion will be a godless, Satan-worshipping religion. When John beheld the coming world religion called Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth, he saw a “woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus” (Rev. 17:5-6); a woman that had enriched herself with ties to evil spirits (Satan), big government (world leaders) and big business (the merchants of the earth; Rev. 18:1-3). Ten, concerning a rebuilt Jewish Temple: on Mar. 28, 2021, it was reported that new research shows that the first two Jewish Temples were located a few feet from where the Muslim Dome of The Rock now sits. If true, the Jewish Temple can be rebuilt without removing the Dome of The Rock. This, coupled with the fact that the Arabs are rethinking their attitude toward Israel, could pave the way for the Temple to be rebuilt soon. Eleven, concerning an economic collapse: due to Covid and perhaps a deliberate attempt to bring down the U.S., America is in its worst economic decline since the Great Depression.
Finally, if you want to go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. [email protected] Next Hezbollah-Israel War Only A Matter of Time – Steve Emerson – https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4649 Despite a collapsing Lebanese economy and considerable political turmoil, Hezbollah continues to threaten Israel. These threats must be taken seriously, given that Hezbollah -- the Iranian-backed proxy army -- has an incredible stockpile of long-range, medium range, and short-range missiles that can reach every square inch of Israel. I spoke last Friday with the Middle East Forum about the worst-case scenarios for a conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. The possibilities include a surprise attack by Hezbollah, an Israeli pre-emptive strike, an unplanned escalation, and a multi-front war against Israel. The situation is a powder keg, and one false move could set any of these scenarios in motion. Israelis understood the surprise attack possibility in 2019, when they discovered several well-built tunnels that started more than a half mile inside of Lebanon, but crossed into Israel. Hezbollah could have used them to attack northern Israeli communities, trying to kill as well as take Israeli civilians hostage. This kind of terrorist attack would have sparked a full-blown war. Israel already lives under constant threat from Hezbollah's missile arsenal, much of which has been smuggled into Lebanon and retrofitted with advanced GPS guidance systems. A multi-front war against Israel appears more possible now that Iraqi militias can use Iranian-supplied missiles, which can strike inside Israel. From the south, Yemeni Houthis now have projectiles capable of reaching Israel's port city of Eilat along the Red Sea. In Syria, Hezbollah has battle-tested forces capable of attacking, and there are Iranian and Russian weapon systems ready to strike. Finally, Gaza is home to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, two terrorist groups that have been firing rockets at Israeli civilian communities for years. If they all acted together, a five-prong multi-front war against Israel is the worst-case scenario. In 2019, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah went on Hezbollah's Al Manar television station with his list of Israeli strategic targets that he wants destroyed during the next war with Israel. These strategic targets include Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, power plants, water desalination plants, nuclear sites, seaports, gas production facilities and natural gas rigs, petro-chemical production facilities near Haifa, IDF Headquarters/Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, air bases, naval bases, army bases, military industries, and important financial and commercial centers. The 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah was started after Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli reservists and killed three others in an unprovoked cross-border raid Hezbollah. This is a perfect example of a war that neither side wanted, but still took place. During the 34-day war, Hezbollah launched more than 100 rockets per day -- for a total of about 4,000 of its estimated 10,000 total rockets and missiles at the time. In the next war, Hezbollah could launch a minimum of 2,000 rockets a day from its 150,000 estimated inventory, a senior IDF official told a Jerusalem conference on March 15. Hezbollah's arsenal is believed to include 130,000 short range rockets that can travel less than 70 km, about 500 medium range rockets (greater than 70 km and less than 250 km), and about 100 long range rockets (greater than 250 km) missiles. According to a 2018 report from the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), "Hezbollah now possesses more firepower than 95 percent of the world's conventional militaries, and more rockets and missiles than all European NATO members combined." Analysts believe that Hezbollah has between 500-1,000 precision guided munitions outfitted with enhanced GPS guidance systems that can hit every square inch of Israel, with devastating accuracy. With long range advanced GPS Scud B warheads carrying as much as 2,200 pounds of high grade explosives, these missiles could easily destroy top strategic targets in Israel such as the Dimona nuclear power plant, Ben Gurion Airport, Israeli power plants, Israeli military bases, and sites that could cause massive civilian carnage -- all targets that Nasrallah has personally threatened to attack in the next war with Israel. (For comparative damage assessments, the unguided Qassam rockets launched by Hamas carry a payload of only 12 pounds of explosives.) Additionally, Hezbollah reportedly has several dozen anti-ship missiles, such as the three C-802 anti-ship missiles that they fired at the Israeli Navy ship Hanit during the 2006 war, killing four Israeli sailors. In response to the Hezbollah threat, Israel has a three-tiered system to protect its citizens and its strategic assets. These three tiers include: missile defense, bombing by Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft, and civilian bomb shelters. The missile defense tier is a multi-layered missile defense system that includes missile intercept systems like Iron Dome, PATRIOT, David's Sling, Arrow 2, and Arrow 3 (see graphic for estimated numbers, ranges, type of warhead, targets, range, and the date when the system became operational). The second tier is the IAF's fighter jets, which would attack Hezbollah missile launch and storage sites. The IAF has more than 425 fighter aircraft, which including almost 50 new F-35s, 50 F-15s, 25 F-15Es, and 300 F-16s. If war does break out, Israel believes it can hit 3,000 Hezbollah targets per day. Finally, the third layer of Israeli defense would be the civilian bunkers that are in many Israeli homes or part of local city and village infrastructures. In addition to the massive Hezbollah rocket and missile threat, the Gaza-based terrorist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad also could attack Israel with their estimated 15,000-20,000 rockets and missiles. The map showing ranges and flight times from Lebanon and from Gaza provide an idea of how much time someone in Tel Aviv has to reach shelter once the alarm system detects an incoming rocket. For example, a rocket launched by Hezbollah in Lebanon takes about 75 seconds to hit Tel Aviv, whereas a rocket fired from Gaza takes only 30 seconds. People living close to the northern border of Israel and near the Gaza Strip have only 10-15 seconds to react during a rocket attack. In response, Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system would target those rockets heading toward population centers and strategic targets. David's Sling, with hundreds of interceptors, would target the longer-range rockets and missiles. But, despite their sophistication, those systems would be overwhelmed in a war in which 2,000 missiles were launched into Israel each day. In May 2019, Hamas and Islamic Jihad launched around 690 rockets and mortars at Israel, with Iron Dome shooting down approximately 240 projectiles. This means that unguided munitions launched from Gaza were about a third on target, or happened to be on target. Using the same percentages, and assuming the same capabilities, 2,000 Hezbollah rockets per day launched from Lebanon would require about 660 Iron Dome interceptors and an unknown number of David's Sling interceptors. In the meantime, the IAF would be destroying launchers and missile storage and assembly locations throughout Lebanon. Therefore, the rate of Hezbollah rocket and missile fire would probably decrease over time, especially those with longer ranges. This would force Hezbollah to fire more of its shorter-range rockets, with less effect on strategic targets. With approximately one-third of all Israelis having bomb shelters in their homes or apartments, the rest would go to local city bomb shelters or to their neighbors' shelters. In 2006, Israel did not have a missile defense system that would intercept short and medium range missiles and rockets. The fact that the IAF can strike 3,000 targets per day offers a strong deterrent message to Hezbollah about what a preemptive attack by the IAF could do. If Hezbollah tried to launch a surprise attack against Israel, in addition to rocket and missile fire, the Iranian-terror proxy could attempt a ground attack to kill or capture Israelis living along the border with Lebanon. Most estimates put the number of active Hezbollah combatants rising from 14,000 in 2006 to 25,000 today, with a reserve force of 20,000-30,000. Nasrallah has said that he is not interested in a war with Israel at this time. He said that he would not have instigated the 2006 war if he knew the tremendous damage that would be done to Lebanon's infrastructure. However, Iran could have different plans for Hezbollah. Beyond missiles and rockets, Hezbollah's capabilities have increased since 2006. Its fighters helped the Syrian army fight for almost a decade, growing more proficient in combat. The question is whether the new Israeli tank active protection system (called Trophy), that the US Army is purchasing, can protect tanks against the Hezbollah arsenal of a variety of approximately a thousand Russian anti-tank systems (AT-3,4, 5, 13, and 14). Any escalating conflict would cause significant casualties and a lot of destruction on both sides. The damage from a 34-day war in 2006, when Hezbollah had a fraction of the firepower it can unleash today, makes this reality clear. There is reason for skepticism that deterrence can work with actors like Nasrallah or Hamas. As for Hezbollah's ultimate goal, Hezbollah's stated goal is the same as Iran's -- the destruction of the Zionist state. The only thing stopping Hezbollah right now is that the Israelis have a more powerful military and can inflict more damage against Lebanese infrastructure, for which Hezbollah will be blamed. Today, Lebanon is suffering the worst economic debacle in its history. The Lebanese currency has been devalued by up to 90 percent in just the last year. Hezbollah is being blamed by much of the Lebanese population for the massive corruption that has led to this unprecedented economic crisis. A war could do further damage to it. As more Russian forces race toward the conflict zone, the Russians have reportedly been hammering Ukrainian positions over the past couple of days. But I haven’t been able to find a peep about this from the corporate media. I don’t understand why they aren’t covering this, because this conflict has the potential to start a global war. Joe Biden is pledging “unwavering support” for Ukraine, and if a Russian invasion actually happens that promise of “unwavering support” would be put to the ultimate test. We are now closer to a shooting war with Russia than we have been at any point since the end of the Cold War, but most Americans are totally clueless about the drama that is unfolding on the other side of the globe right now. If a way to defuse this conflict is not found, we could literally be looking at a scenario that eventually leads us into World War 3. And the clock is ticking, because once Putin gives the order to invade there will be no going back. On Saturday, the Ukrainians once again reported that forces on the other side of the conflict zone opened fire. The following is an English translation of a report that was posted on the official website of the Ukrainian military… Ignoring the agreements reached on July 22, 2020 within the framework of the Tripartite Contact Group, the Russian occupation forces continue to shell the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of this day, on April 3, 6 violations of the ceasefire regime by the armed forces of the Russian Federation have been recorded. In the area of the Vostok operational and tactical group near the town of PISKY, the Russian occupiers opened fire with 120-caliber mortars, large-caliber machine guns, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Near AVDIYIVKA and VODYANOY in the Azov Sea, Russian occupation forces fired large-caliber machine guns, anti-tank and automatic machine-gun grenade launchers. Technically, the ceasefire that was agreed to on July 22, 2020 is no longer in effect because it expired on April 1st. But the Ukrainians continue to frame these incidents as “ceasefire violations”. On Sunday morning, the Ukrainian military posted another update… Russian occupation forces continue to shell Ukrainian defenders’ positions in order to further accuse them of violating the ceasefire. During the past 24hrs, on April 3, 10 violations of the ceasefire by the armed forces of the Russian Federation were recorded. In the area of the operational and tactical group “East” near the settlement of SAND, the Russian occupiers opened fire with mortars of 120-caliber, large-caliber machine guns, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms prohibited by the Minsk agreements, and from near the village. hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. Near the settlements of AVDIYIVKA, SHYROKYNE and VODYANE in the Azov region, Russian occupation forces fired large-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems. Subsequently, the firing seemed to stop, and that is probably because there is a high level of respect on both sides for the religious holiday that was taking place. But it is quite likely that the fireworks will resume on Monday, and hopefully the corporate media in the United States will start to properly cover this exceedingly important story. At this moment, there are three seemingly unsolvable issues which need to be addressed if this conflict is to be defused somehow. First of all, when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Decree No. 117/2021 on March 24th, the Russians essentially considered it to be a declaration of war against them. That document makes it the official policy of the Ukrainian government to reconquer Crimea, and the Russians consider Crimea to be their sovereign territory. I don’t anticipate that either side will ever back down, and the Biden administration has been pushing hard to make this a very important issue internationally. Secondly, the Biden administration has been doing everything that it can think of to try to sabotage the completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Selling gas to the Europeans is exceedingly important to the Russians from an economic standpoint, and the possibility that the Europeans could end that relationship is probably the number one thing holding Putin back from launching an invasion right now. But if the Biden administration is successful in killing the Nordstream pipeline and in getting the Europeans to start rejecting Russian gas, then Putin may figure that there is nothing left to lose. Thirdly, the Russians will never, ever accept Ukraine joining the NATO alliance. Having NATO forces right on the Russian border is considered to be completely and utterly unacceptable by Russian military strategists, and the Russians are extremely alarmed that NATO forces could soon be deployed to Ukraine on a large scale… The Kremlin said on Friday that any deployment of NATO troops to Ukraine would lead to further tensions near Russia’s borders and force Moscow to take extra measures to ensure its own security. NATO voiced concern on Thursday over what it said was a big Russian military build-up near eastern Ukraine after Russia warned that a serious escalation in the conflict in Ukraine’s Donbass region could “destroy” Ukraine. And it is also being reported that the Ukrainian military is scheduled to hold joint military exercises with NATO in just a few months… UKRAINE’s armed forces have said joint military drills with NATO troops would begin in a few months’ time in a move which is likely to infuriate Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and stoke already heightened tensions with Moscow, which has expressed its opposition to the idea. The Trump administration didn’t provoke Russia, and so for four years there was relative stability in the region. But now the Biden administration has decided to put enormous amounts of pressure on Russia on multiple fronts, but this could backfire dramatically if the Russians decide that military action in Ukraine becomes unavoidable. In recent articles I have described Biden as a “hothead” and a “warmonger”, and at this point his cognitive decline is apparent to everyone. He is easily persuaded, and the fact that his national security team is packed with extremely aggressive warmongers is not reassuring. This is a story that is not going to end well, but the vast majority of Americans have very little interest in foreign policy at this point, and most of them do not regard Russia as any sort of a threat. But once the Biden administration actually gets us into a war, all of a sudden a lot of people are going to wake up and get really upset. Of course a potential conflict is not just looming with Russia. We are also stumbling toward potential conflicts with China, North Korea and Iran, and Biden’s national security team does not seem to know how to handle any of those relationships. Can’t Feel at Home? - By Hal Lindsey - https://www.hallindsey.com/ww-4-4-2021/ In 1936, a man named Albert Brumley wrote a song called, “This World is Not My Home.” The chorus and every verse ends with the words: “I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.” I know how he felt. Maybe you do, too. And that’s a good thing. This world is temporary. So are its pleasures and pains. But our citizenship is in heaven. Our joys in Christ are eternal. As followers of Jesus, it makes sense that we feel uncomfortable in a world filled with violence and debauchery. The ache you feel when you watch the news should be normal for Christians. We’re living at the end of Romans chapter one. We live in a time when men and women intentionally “suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” (Romans 1:18) By this, they “became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:21-22) “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.” (Romans 1:25) It’s all summed up in Romans 1:28-32. “Just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and, although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.” That’s the world we live in… but it’s not our home. Philippians 3:20-21 says, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory.” In every way heaven is better than earth. Jesus said to pray, “'Our Father who art in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9) That tells us something magnificent about heaven. God the Father lives there! The scripture we just looked at in Philippians is one of many telling us that Jesus lives there now in His resurrected body. Psalms 16:11 says, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 tells us, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” Unlike the pleasures of earth, the joys of heaven neither dim nor die. 1 Peter 1:4 calls it, “An inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away.” No wonder Colossians 3:2 admonishes all of us to, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” The songwriter mentioned above, Albert Brumley, is best known for the song, “I’ll Fly Away.” “Some glad morning when this life is over, I’ll fly away. To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away.” Those words are right in line with scripture. Psalms 90:10 says that when “the days of our life” are gone, “we fly away.” Our future does not consist of living in a deteriorating society and in deteriorating bodies. Soon, we’ll fly away — either at the rapture or when we die. Either way, it will be glorious and good. No matter what you face, keep Jesus and heaven in mind. Then, go on your way rejoicing with the full knowledge that some glad morning, you’ll fly away! Daily Jot: Passover, Easter, Resurrection Day, Your Heart – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Every year there are a rash of television programs depicting various aspects of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ the Messiah. There are also many debates as to whether Easter is a pagan holiday designed to bring together the Roman Empire during the 2nd Century. Then there are those who say that irrespective of the Roman politics or what other religions celebrate, during Easter the world celebrates Christ’s act of salvation on the cross, a reminder to all of the gift of salvation unto everlasting life. Many people have many different ways of commemorating this powerful event—Passover, Easter, Resurrection Day, First Fruits, among them. Point is, where is your heart? We can debate the hypocrisy and commercialization, the political intentions, the historic facts. We can criticize various religious practices and their intent. But where does it land in your heart? The celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection is heart related. The gift of salvation, of everlasting life, is a treasure and it is manifest in the actions of our heart. For as Christ said in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Please allow me to relay an Easter story of my heart, as told by Pastor William Agbeti in Ghana, West Africa, where prayers and resources demonstrate how actions here on earth lay up heavenly treasures. Agbeti writes: “This year’s 2021 Easter celebrations, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, may forever be etched in the memories of a select group of needy children and their families as the most memorable! Some 38 parents, drawn from an underserved area in rural Ghana, together with 80 of their children, gathered at a local church to each receive a week’s supply of foodstuffs from our ministry. These parents and children experienced something that had never before occurred in their lives. The beneficiaries were organized with the help of our volunteers, in cooperation with a local church. Even at the last minute of presentation, many unlisted children and their parents poured in, and we had to reduce foodstuffs in each package, in order to take care of them. “Dressed in their best for the Easter festivity, the parents and the children graced the occasion with neat and flowery attires. Five, ten or fifteen years from now, as these children look back on their lives, they will no doubt see the love of God even when they were yet children. To us in the ministry, every day is Christmas or Easter, as we share, care for and serve the needy with love. As testimonies pour in from beneficiaries for the love shown them, we are reminded of those who make it possible–God, through human instrumentalities, those who show by their actions the treasures of their hearts.” On occasions like Easter, God’s children in Africa are not debating what Easter should be called or the politics or the hypocrisy. Even though many have very little, they come out of their homes. They dress their best before God. They celebrate their love for and the blessings of Christ. And in this case, their absolute joy for the salvation of the cross was made even greater knowing they could go back home and have meals for the rest of the week. This world is a very difficult and perilous place. It is becoming even more so. What I want to convey, and maybe I’m not quite able to give it proper justice, is that we need each other and a little kindness and love goes a long way, especially as we journey ahead in these increasingly difficult times. That translates to a loss of $46.8 billion annually across the retail industry. The eighth of the Ten Commandments says, “You shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15 NKJV), yet theft has become so common that we don’t even notice things like gas station clerks working behind bulletproof glass or security cameras monitoring our every move both indoors and out on the streets. That’s how pervasive theft is in our culture today. And to all of this, God says, “You shall not steal.” Not only is stealing a crime, but it’s a sin. Here’s what the Bible says about stealing: “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need” (Ephesians 4:28 NKJV). This verse tells us three very practical things about stealing. First, those who’ve been stealing should no longer do it. And if they’ve taken something from someone, they should give it back because it doesn’t belong to them. Second, we should do something useful. Like it or not, the Bible teaches that we’re to earn a living by working (see 2 Thessalonians 3:10). The world doesn’t owe us a living, and neither does the government. Third, we should share what we have with others. This is the opposite of stealing. Socialism has become very popular in our culture today especially among younger Americans who think it’s a new way of life that we should adopt for our nation. But the Bible doesn’t advocate socialism. Instead, the sharing that the Bible advocates for is voluntary.
