On May 3, 2023, a Decision Magazine article was posted on Harbingers Daily about Aaron Edwards, a theology professor in England, who tweeted that homosexuality is “invading the Church.” Edwards said, “This is a ‘Gospel issue,’ by the way. If sin is no longer sin, we no longer need a Savior.” His statement caused a backlash that got him suspended and then fired. Jesus was addressing a group of Pharisees when He said, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not” (John 8:44-45). Edwards told the truth, but his religious superiors chose to reject the truth and believe a lie. Concerning money, Jesus said, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other” (Luke 16:13). When people who do not know what the Bible says contradict it, I suppose it can be called a sin of ignorance. But Church leaders who deliberately reject the truth (and deliberately promote a lie) are serving Satan. This is a strong statement, but those who operate in the name of God and pervert the truth (are teaching a fable). They are false teachers because they are deliberately misinterpreting the Scriptures. They do not have to do it, but they are deliberately choosing to do it. Their teaching on homosexuality is like, or the same as, those of the atheists at the World Economic Forum. Edwards is right: If sin is no longer sin, we no longer need Jesus. I will add that if the Bible and the Ten Commandments are wrong about lying, we no longer need the Bible and the Ten Commandments, and we no longer need Church leaders that are willing to lie in the pulpit while standing in front of, or behind, a beautiful cross. Church leaders that do not believe the Bible should earn their mammon (money; wealth) another way. They would be wise to read what God did to Ananias and Sapphira for lying to the early Church (Acts 5:1-11). He will not allow them to get away with binding or restricting the Word of God on earth forever. His judgment will come upon the earth. Paul said to Timothy (and to us), “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry” (II Tim. 4:1-5). The religious leaders that fired Edwards turned away from the truth because they prefer to train people to teach a fable. Here are some reasons to believe that God’s judgment could be close. One, concerning deceit: on May 1, 2023, it was reported that a poll of 1,002 adults on Mar. 30-Apr. 3, 2023, found that nearly half of U.S. adults say they have little to no trust in the media. Most are concerned about misinformation and believe that America’s politically polarized media is doing more harm than good. Two, concerning deceit and the deliberate decline of America: for weeks, the U.S. has been preparing for hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants to storm the U.S. border with Mexico when Title 42 ends on May 10, 2023. On May 9, 2023, it was reported that Biden’s Dept. of Homeland Security issued a press release that announced where agents would be posted to arrest dangerous illegal invaders. Put another way (in my words), the Biden administration has issued a press release that tells dangerous invaders where to cross our border if they want to get into the U.S. without being arrested. Three, concerning a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel: on May 5, 2023, All Arab News reported that U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham said he believes that if the Biden administration will try really hard, they can wrap up a “truly historic, game-changing deal” “before the 2024 (presidential) campaign gets into full swing.” Four, concerning hyperinflation and a global economic collapse: on May 7, 2023, it was reported that California has defaulted on $18.6 billion of debt. Understand that the default of a state in the U.S. is different from the default of the U.S., and it is different from a global economic collapse. Nevertheless, it indicates that there are major economic problems in the U.S. despite what the Biden administration and the Federal Reserve officials say. (Note: It is common knowledge that several large U.S. banks have collapsed, layoffs are increasing, the housing industry is in trouble, and there are major problems with the economy.) (Note: On May 8, 2023, it was reported that banking problems are not just confined to the U.S. Depositors, concerned about a banking collapse in the UK and EU, have withdrawn billions of dollars from banks there.) (Note: On May 8, 2023, it was reported that Michael Snyder, author, founder of theeconomiccollapseblog.com, and frequent guest on major radio and TV programs, is predicting that the banking crisis is going to get worse.) (My opinion: If history is approaching the end of the age, and I believe it is, a global banking crisis is exactly what the Bible teaches. This will eventually lead to a new banking system with a globally trackable currency.) Five, excessive government spending (and the printing of money with nothing to back it up) is one of the main reasons investors are concerned about the U.S., UK, and EU economies. Nevertheless, on May 8, 2023, the Biden administration insisted that Congress has a “constitutional duty” to raise America’s debt ceiling. Pres. Biden wants to go on another spending binge with no strings attached. Six, concerning hatred for Israel at the end of the age: on May 3, 2023, Islamic terrorists fired more than 100 rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel. On May 9, 2023, 40 Israeli aircraft retaliated by striking targets in the Gaza Strip. Three of Islamic Jihad’s top officials were killed, and the terrorists are threatening to make Israel pay a price. (Update: On May 10, 2023, Palestinians fired scores of rockets from Gaza into Israel. Israeli leaders said the escalation will be met with a decisive response.) (Note: Israel will not have peace until they accept Jesus as their Messiah. Sadly, they will accept the Antichrist first and wind up going through the Tribulation Period.) Seven, concerning world government: on May 8, 2023, it was reported that the U.S. House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed documents from two groups (the Global Alliance for Responsible Media and the World Federation of Advertisers) associated with the World Economic Forum (WEF) that the committee believes show efforts to censor unfavorable content in the media and online. The House Judiciary Committee requested the information in Mar. 2023, but the two groups have not complied, so the committee has issued subpoenas. As I understand it, the House Judiciary Committee believes these two groups associated with the WEF are trying to stop speech and reporting in America that is critical of the WEF effort to establish a world government. (Note: On May 8, 2023, the Biden administration refused a New York Post request for one of its reporters to cover a Biden press conference on airline policies. About 20 empty seats can be seen in photos of the event. Biden appears to dislike the Post because it was the publication that broke the story about Hunter’s laptop.) (Note: During the Tribulation Period, the Antichrist and False Prophet will use the Mark of the Beast to control what people believe and say about world government.) Eight, concerning world government and corruption in the 2020 presidential election: on May 10, 2020, it was reported that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) may have been involved in getting 51 people to sign a letter saying Hunter Biden’s laptop has “the earmarks of a Russian information operation.” Biden used the letter in his campaign to deceive voters about Hunter’s activities. If the CIA was involved, and the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee appears to have evidence that they were, then: > The CIA helped elect a man whose slogan was “Build Back Better” (tear down America and rebuild it in a New World Order or a Great Reset) and defeat a man whose slogan was “Make America Great Again” (let us keep America’s sovereignty and make her great again). > The CIA knew the laptop was Hunter’s, the CIA helped create a lie to influence the election, the CIA enlisted people to sign onto that lie, Biden used the CIA lie to get votes, and now the sovereignty of the U.S. is at stake. > The way I see it, the CIA illegally corrupted the election, America has been betrayed, America’s sovereignty is about gone, and the worst event in history (the rise of the Antichrist and the Tribulation Period) is staring the lost in the face (Matt. 24:22). Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). Coronation fever is beginning to die down here in London. I must admit, it was quite a spectacular event. So much history. So much tradition. So much pomp. The world was drawn into this ceremony that placed a crown on the head of King Charles III. But as I watched, I couldn’t help but think of the future. A day is soon coming when there will be another coronation. When the crown is placed on the King’s head, it will not just be the symbol of His authority over one nation. Instead, this person will be crowned as King of all kings. Think of the pageantry of Charles’s coronation. Now picture in your mind what we will see as we watch our King, Jesus, take His rightful seat on His throne in Jerusalem! I can barely imagine it. And I know that whatever I see in my mind will pale against the actual event. What a day that will be! Israel Unleashes Operation Shield and Arrow Tuesday morning, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck the leadership of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group in Gaza. This action was in retaliation for the firing of 104 rockets at Israel on May 2. The bombs dropped from the fighter jets in Operation Shield and Arrow killed Khalil Bahtini, Tareq Izzeldeen, and Jehad Ghanam, three of the PIJ’s top commanders. Wednesday, the terrorists struck back firing over 350 rockets across the border from Gaza into Israel. Only three fell in populated areas and no casualties were reported. The IAF immediately struck back at the launch sites of these rockets. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also destroyed the homes of ten PIJ operatives. In all, 27 Palestinians were killed during the operation and more than 76 were injured. The first Israeli casualty came from a direct hit by a rocket to a building in the City of Rehovot. 1,100 rockets have been launched from Gaza towards Israel since the beginning of the operation. Their claim is that their leaders were told that Israel was prepared to enter into peace talks with them in Cairo. So, these leaders, who had been in hiding for years, came out of their little cubbyholes to say goodbye to their families before leaving for Egypt. Once they were exposed, the IDF killed them. If that is what happened, then kudos to the IDF. As the old saying goes, “All is fair in love and war, especially when you fire 104 rockets at our cities.” Talks are underway now for another ceasefire, but they are unlikely to be fruitful. The PIJ is making two demands: 1. No more targeted assassinations. 2. Cancel the annual Jerusalem Day Flag March scheduled for May 18. Israel will not agree to these conditions. What the PIJ doesn’t understand is that when you are losing badly, it is not time to make demands. More Comes Out on Jordan’s Smuggling MP Two weeks ago, I let you know about a Jordanian member of parliament (MP), Emad Zidan AKA Hamid Eladwan, who was arrested for smuggling weapons and gold across the border to terrorist groups in the West Bank. At the time, another MP angrily chided Israel for including “gold” in their report, because it made the “heroic act” seem like common smuggling. It now turns out that it was, in fact, just common smuggling. Since February 2022, Emad has illegally brought across the border gold, guns, birds, electronic cigarettes, and people. And these actions were in no way altruistic. Emad was in it purely for the money. Other Jordanian officials have now been arrested in Jordan, and Emad is being sent back for prosecution. Jordanian Jets Join Fight Against Drugs Jordan’s air force went into action Monday, taking out a Syrian drug factory with ties to Iran-backed Hezbollah. A second target was the home of Marie al-Ramthan, Syrian drug kingpin. Al-Rathman and his family were killed, and the house was left in ruins. Last Thursday, Jordan’s foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, told CNN in an interview, “We are not taking the threat of drug smuggling lightly. If we do not see effective measures to curb that threat, we will do what it takes to counter that threat, including taking military action inside Syria.” It appears that was not an empty threat. Synagogue Attacked in Tunis Tuesday, after first killing a colleague, a member of the Tunisian National Guard travelled to an ancient synagogue. He rolled up on a quad bike and opened fire. Two Jewish cousins who were making a pilgrimage to the site were killed, along with two police officers and a security guard. Four more police officers were wounded in the attack. The shooter was shot dead on the scene. The synagogue, located on the island of Djerba, is Africa’s oldest. Meeting of the Axis of Resistance Leaders in the Axis of Resistance gathered on Tuesday. At the meeting were commanders from Iran’s Quds Force, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Syria’s Fourth Division, and Gaza’s Islamic Jihad and Hamas. Also represented were numbers of Iran’s other proxy militias and Hezbollah operatives in Syria. Word is they had tea and finger sandwiches before discussing fund-raising ideas for a new water feature at the Qasem Soleimani Memorial site. Syria Allowed Back into the Arab League In 2011, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad came down extremely hard on street protesters. This led to the onset of a decade-long civil war. Due to Assad’s actions, the Arab League suspended Syria’s membership in their organization. On Sunday, the member states voted to allow the war-torn nation back into the fold. The move, criticized by the U.S. and others, is intended to help normalize relationships between Syria and some League members, and provide stability for the broken country. Not surprisingly, Russia hails this “long-awaited step” of returning their minion state to the “Arab family.” Russia Unleashes Devastating Air Attack on Ukraine Sunday saw a massive missile and drone attack by Russia against Ukrainian targets. This was followed by a major attack by the mercenary Wagner group against the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. But after vowing to take the city that has become a symbol of Ukraine’s resistance, Yevgeny Prigozhin, owner of the Wagner group, began to threaten withdrawal. In an expletive-laden rant, he lamented his heavy losses and accused Moscow of withholding ammunition. If Bakhmut stands, it will be a huge morale booster for the Ukrainian military. It’s no accident that this forerunner to the mark of the beast will begin in Europe, the Antichrist’s home turf. In an article sponsored by the global digital security firm Entrust, Wired Magazine called the digital identity wallet, “The most ambitious rollout yet of a comprehensive digital ID system, combining security, compliance, and privacy safeguards for the EU’s 447 million citizens.” Romana Jerković represents Croatia in the EU Parliament. A member of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, she said, “With the European Digital Identity Framework, we want the EU to become the first global region with a governance framework for trusted digital identities. The Digital Wallet will become a reliable, all-in-one identity gateway that puts citizens in full control of their own data and gives them the freedom to decide exactly what information to share, with whom, and when.” Putting the citizen in charge of his or her own data sounds great. But this initiative is not about privacy. It’s about government control. According to the EU Parliament, “The new digital identity framework would provide EU citizens with digital access to key public services across EU borders.” In other words, the EU wants to create universal reliance on its new digital ID app. MEP Jerković, quoted above, went on to say, “From social, financial, medical, and professional data, to contacts and much more, it will make it possible to store personal credentials within a single digital ID. Digital identity is no longer just a nice-to-have feature.” This will put Europeans’ entire digital lives in the pocket of the central government. It gives the EU easy access to its citizens’ data to use as the government sees fit. Financial records? Check. Social media? Check. Medical data? Check. Job-related data? Check. In a piecemeal fashion, these things are already available to law enforcement if it can show just cause for suspecting a crime. But this will give a whole range of government agencies quick and easy access to everything about the individual. And it will all be wrapped up in one comprehensive package. According to the EU Parliament, “Using the EU wallet will always be voluntary.” If that’s a relief, remember that in 1936, the United States government promised citizens that the then new Social Security number would not be used for identification. They promised it would only be used as a tool to track earnings histories for determining Social Security benefits. From 1946 to 1972, they printed that message on every card. “For Social Security purposes only. Not for identification.” Today, even the Social Security Administration admits, “The SSN [Social Security Number] is the single most widely used record identifier for both government and the private sector.” Governments promise limitations, and then run roughshod over them when it becomes convenient to do so. The EU says the legislation would “ensure that citizens who choose not to adopt it are not treated differently to those who do.” But in the very next paragraph, they say the wallet will allow users “to access goods and public and private services.” If you want access to those things, then you had better “volunteer.” The EU wallet is not the mark of the beast. But it’s another big step in that direction. It is the manifestation of the reprobate mind—the result of turning one’s back to God and deliberately going in the opposite direction. The sound, you would think, comes from inside asylums for the insane. But the seeming uncontrollable screeching is heard more and more as lunatic-sounding protests have grown from demonstrations and debates of the past, stemming from a degree of sensibility, to become guttural screams that drown out any counter viewpoint. The level of enragement that points to the reprobate mind that no longer is willing to hear what God’s Word has to say is wild animal-like—without self-discipline of any sort. Most of the rage is centered at the heart of the aberrant sexual agenda being foisted at present particularly against the very youngest. The screams are especially steeped at the center of the LGBTQ+ entities and organizations in America. Although by far in the minority of societal and cultural composition, the shrill howls of animal-like shrieking garner the attention of politicians and courts. A news item perhaps will somewhat describe my intended point. A transgender activist let out several primal screams at a San Francisco Board of Supervisors meeting last week, after SF District Attorney Brooke Jenkins declined to prosecute a Walgreens security guard who shot Banka Brown, a black transgender individual. Jenkins declared that “the evidence clearly shows that the suspect believed he was in mortal danger and acted in self-defense.” [The woman, preferring the pronoun their] expressed their (?) displeasure with an intra-scream diatribe. “I live in [District 6]. I hate a lot of people on this board…for the reasons that led up to Banka Brown’s death. So, often I prepare something—maybe it’s a little historical, may even be a little poetic, whatever. There’s a lot of performative people on this board who will say one thing and support Black people, homeless people, trans people, and then immediately stab you in the face—being racist, transphobic, anti-homeless. “So I don’t have any words prepared today. I just want you to feel our pain. I don’t know if you can at this point, based off your policy choices, but I have to pretend you have some form of empathy left. So, I am going to spend the next minute screaming ’cause that is what is going on in here.” McGeever then gave several primal screams, saying: “That is what the trans genocide in this country, in this city, has brought me to.” As Jonathan Turley writes: “No, that is what an age of rage has brought all of us to. This entire scream session was due to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announcing that her office would not prosecute Michael-Earl Wayne Anthony, a Walgreens security guard responsible for the shooting death of Banko Brown, a Black member of the transgender community… “Our politics is now reduced to a collective scream session with zero content beyond pure unadulterated rage.” As I noted earlier, this trend was previously captured by Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) who is shown on videotape screaming about gun control in the Capitol as his colleagues left the floor following a vote. When Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) asked Bowman to stop yelling, Bowman shouted back: “I was screaming before you interrupted me”—which could go down as the epitaph for our age. Those in control tried to use reason, but their effort was useless. If not insane at the moment, the individual certainly couldn’t be differentiated from someone who had lost their mind–even by a clinical psychologist—in my opinion. And this is just the latest of a series of such baying-at-the-moon, ear-piercing-type bellowing. This type of insane rage seems to have had its genesis as an uncontrollable crying and shrieking by a woman who, back in 2016, sat on a curb when she learned that Donald Trump had won the presidential election over her candidate, Hillary Clinton. The demonstration of the loss of sensibility now has become almost a regular feature by both men and women—especially in demonstrations that are protesting on behalf of Sodom-like activities carried on by LGBTQ+ and their lookalikes. These are demonstrating the “reprobate mind” before the whole world—even the world of the woke of San Francisco governmental entities. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. Seems to me that insane shrieking for minutes on end is not exactly convenient, especially not to the ears that have to listen. The closer time comes for Christ’s call for the Church to “Come up here!” (Revelation 4:2), the more Sodom-like the enragement manifests. The end-of-the-age rage is but another strong signal of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. As believers in Christ our freedom is of a higher order, a spiritual nature, because it is given by God. Your true freedom is not given by governments or corporations or men. Be encouraged that the Lord’s liberty is superior to governments. Your freedom is in the Lord and His rest. We can find rest, regeneration, and the courage to stand in the spiritual rights endowed by our Lord. The Bible says that God rested on the seventh day from all his work. It is called the Shabbat, and God also instituted this rest for mankind. Herein is a key to perfect liberty. After bringing the Israelites out of Egyptian slavery, the Lord instituted appointed times called Shabbats for his people. In them, are a spiritual communion with God that embodies rest, health and liberty. It was in fact on a Shabbat that Christ proclaimed the fulfilment of the Isaiah 61 prophecy when he said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor;He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” (Luke 4:18-21).” We generally connect freeing the captives and liberty for the oppressed with freedom from sin. This liberty, however, is deeper than that. It is the spiritual freedom from sin, but also the physical freedom in Christ. We are neither slaves, nor oppressed in Christ. He said in John 8:32 that if you abide in His word, “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” We are free spiritually and physically as citizens of the kingdom that has authority over all in heaven and earth. It is only by choice that we fall into slavery or lose our rights. Galatians 5:1 says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Even as slaves on earth, we are free in the kingdom of heaven by the authority of God Almighty in Christ Jesus who ransomed us with his blood. Roman rule during the early church was far more oppressive than today’s America. But early Christ followers overcame that dark oppression with a clear understanding of their spiritual authority and Liberty. Peter and the Apostles exercised this spiritual authority when they were threatened with censorship and prison for preaching the gospel. In Acts 5:29, they responded: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” And so should we. The spiritual freedom from above is greater than political freedom granted by men. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Receive your rightful authority. Rest in the peace and freedom instituted by God’s Shabbat. After all, he was running for his life. But it wasn’t King Saul who was chasing him. Tragically, his own son Absalom was hunting him down to put him to death. It was during this time that David called on the Lord and wrote the words of Psalm 5. Here we see a holy boldness in David’s prayer: “O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you” (verses 1–2 NLT). In essence David was saying, “Lord, I want You to really listen to what I am about to say.” Where did he get the audacity to speak to God that way? David had a relationship with God. The reason he could say “Hear me,” “pay attention,” and “listen” is that he also said, “My King and my God.” He had a relationship with God that gave him freedom of access. We, too, can have the same relationship. Romans 8:15 says, “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father’ ” (NLT). The Aramaic word “Abba” is an affectionate term. The English equivalent would be “Daddy” or “Papa.” As believers, we have been brought into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ in which we can call Him Daddy. We can call Him Papa. David’s relationship with God gave him boldness in his prayers. And we can also have that boldness. Hebrews 10:19 says, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus” (NLT). We can approach God at any time, but it’s not because of anything we do. Rather, it’s because of what Jesus did for us.
