Flashpoints 2022: Covid-19 - By Matt Ward - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/01/12/flashpoints-2022-covid-19-by-matt-ward/
What a year 2021 has been! Recording breaking in all the wrong ways. Now that it has drawn to a close, it is perhaps time to start looking more deeply into 2022 and to pondering what prophecy-related challenges this new year may bring. Many of the issues and trends established in 2021 will continue unabated into and throughout 2022. Many of these trends will become even more entrenched. Some will, no doubt, turn into genuine crisis points for the world. The following summaries are by no means complete, but they do represent a precis of where I personally see some of the main issues occurring over the next twelve months, especially from a biblically prophetical point of view. I intend to touch on a number of key areas in the following articles, encompassing Coronavirus, the global pandemic and the erosion of personal freedom, Israel, and finally, the key world geopolitical flashpoints for 2022. All these areas are spheres any Christian should be watching closely. However, before I begin, a word of caution – call it a caveat, if you will. As a Christian who believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible, and especially of Bible prophecy, it is my contention that events are now increasingly spiraling out of control in all spheres. I believe the momentum of events is speeding up too. I genuinely believe that this fallen world has now reached, indeed has far exceeded, the point of no return. It is clearly a fallen world closing in on its death throes, and the only hope here, now or ever, is to be found in a personal salvation established in the blood of, and a personal relationship with, Jesus Christ. The way of salvation today is just as clear and open to all as it was two thousand years ago. As Paul explained to his jailer 2,000 years ago, so he explains to us all today, “…and after he brought them out, he said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?'” They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved…” (Acts 16:30-31). Outside of Jesus, there simply is no hope, individually or corporately. In a world increasingly devoid of hope, this message is all the more important and prescient for it. Today is the day of salvation, not tomorrow, “For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation'” (2 Corinthians 6:2). If you have yet to make that fateful decision for Jesus Christ, then do it today. None of us are promised any tomorrows, “…seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near” (Isaiah 55:6). History, and world events, often take place on a continuum. It is therefore easy to predict that some trends and events next year will likely impact in much the same way as they have this year. However, it is my contention that these multiple flashpoints are now, alongside other prophetic indicators, converging into a potentially bigger world engulfing series of crises that are beginning to feed into one another. This in itself will likely increase the frequency and severity of what may potentially take place over the next twelve months. The first potential flashpoint to note for 2022, and the main focus of this article, is perhaps the most obvious one: Covid-19. This is the biggest global topic of 2021 and will no doubt be one of the biggest of 2022. Covid-19 and the endless pandemic it has birthed is not going anywhere anytime soon. It is hard to quantify the amount of damage Covid-19 has caused over the last 12 months. The damage to the economies of the world alone has been almost incalculable. The negative impact upon trade, tourism, small, medium and larger businesses, and to business owners, the self-employed, those who have lost their jobs because of the pandemic… I could literally go on and on about its impacts. Nothing like this has occurred in recent history, and in terms of impact alone, certainly from an economic point of view, it sits right alongside the Second World War in respect to the damage caused to the worldwide economy. Yet, despite this, I genuinely believe that some of the more severe consequences that will come to be associated with Covid-19 may remain yet future. Covid-19 has already deeply impacted our personal freedoms and our civil liberties. This erosion will certainly continue into 2022. Covid-19 is going to be used more and more as a platform to radically change and erode personal freedoms in 2022. To put it bluntly, we are all losing key rights and freedoms in this pandemic that we will never ever get back, short of the return of Jesus Christ himself. It is highly likely that it will not be too long, perhaps in 2022, that we will see the first ruling for mandatory vaccinations taking place. As of this writing, there is a decision still pending in the U.S. Supreme Court about Biden’s vaccine mandate, which is certain to affect U.S. businesses nationwide. (1) Of course, it will not be labeled as such. People will still have “a choice.” The catch, though, will be that businesses will not be able to employ you unless you take that vaccination, and shops will not allow you to buy your groceries unless you can prove you are vaccinated. Either way, it will be the same — comply or suffer the consequences. No jab will very soon equal no job. Unfortunately, for those who choose to remain unvaccinated, I suspect 2022 will not be any easier a place for them than 2021 has been. It is my opinion, just from observing the news and in conversations generally, that many of the vaccinated are rapidly losing their patience with the unvaccinated. This is especially so as one of the many falsehoods circulating right now in Western Europe and America is that the vaccinated are having to take all these necessary precautions imposed upon them by Covid-19 expressly to protect the unvaccinated. That this is just plain nonsense becomes clear when one considers that Omicron, the most recent and virulent variant, is currently spreading with equal speed among both the unvaccinated and the vaccinated alike. It will also not be long, perhaps in 2022, when every person in Western Europe and the United States of America will have to be able to produce some form of digital “Covid Passport” just to access basic services and facilities. It will not be too long before just such a digital ID will be needed to even “buy and sell.” We have heard this before, and we all know just where that particular thread is heading, “…that no man can buy or sell, save he that have the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name” (Revelation 13:17). This time is almost upon us. How long before this digital passport — already so brazenly and openly discussed by politicians and lawmakers of every political persuasion, which will also be linked to our finances, debt history, social security, criminal records and more — will be replaced “for ease” with some kind of chip, or a quantum Nano tattoo? No doubt inserted on the right hand or the forehead. “…and he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in the right hand, or in their foreheads…” (Revelation 13:16-17). In terms of the Coronavirus itself, I also have to wonder if this pandemic will yet take another, more ominous turn. Other commentators have talked often in columns such as this about the birth pains associated with the end of the age. They have talked about how both the frequency and intensity of the birth pains will increase the closer we get to that final terminal hour. With regard to Covid-19, the one question I am constantly asking myself is not how this current phase will come to an end so that life may return to normal (life is never going back to the way it was before), but what may be coming next, further down the line? No matter what one’s views currently are on the severity of Covid-19, or whether one believes this current crisis is whipped up out of all proportion or not, we do know from scripture that pestilences are a big part of end-time events, that a huge swath of the earth’s population will be killed by just such pestilences and diseases, in just a short time to come. The obvious question one has to ask at this point is whether the pestilences described in scripture are, in fact, further variants of Covid-19, ones that are far more infectious, transmissible and deadly, or something altogether different? One of the huge, unspoken worries at the moment by those involved in public health is the potential emergence of a super mutation. Currently, with the rise of Omicron, there are two pandemics taking place simultaneously in the world. There is a Delta pandemic and an Omicron pandemic, both separate but taking place at the same time in the same places. The big concern is that an individual who is already immunosuppressed, such as a person living with undiagnosed HIV, may get the Delta variant and the Omicron variant at the same time. The worry is that this could or may then mutate and combine together into a super mutation that would have the transmissibility of Omicron but the increased detrimental health impacts of Delta. Only time will tell, but it would not surprise me at all if at least some of the pestilences that are described as wiping out a huge percentage of mankind at the end of this age were much more deadly variants of the relatively mild disease that we currently know as Covid-19. Next time, we will look at God’s prophetic timepiece, Israel. [email protected] “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5). https://www.forbes.com/sites/edwardsegal/2021/12/08/predicting-the-course-and-impact-of-the-covid-crisis-in-the-new-year/?sh=5c56d74f2cca Ten Clear Pre-Trib Rapture References from Ephraim the Syrian - by Lee Brainard – www.prophecywatchers.com In 1994, (the late) Grant Jeffrey discovered a pretribulation rapture passage within a manuscript entitled, On the Last Times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World, written by Ephraim the Syrian (sometimes spelled Ephrem), an early church father, who lived from A.D. 306–373. Grant Jeffrey and Tommy Ice asked Cameron Rhoades, a professor at Tyndale Theological Seminary, to translate the Latin work into English. The passage reads, “For all the saints and Elect of God are gathered, prior to the Tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins.” This discovery thrilled pretribulational circles because it bolstered the evidence that many of the early church fathers were convinced pretribulationists. These patristic passages, of course, are not forwarded as proof of the pretribulation rapture. The proof can only be derived from the Bible. The pretribulation-rapture passages in the fathers are cited merely to expose as fraudulent the often-repeated reproach that the pretribulation rapture is a new doctrine. The truth is, many men before J.N. Darby held a pretribulation rapture, and so did many of the early church fathers. My Discovery of Another Ephraim Passage Now, a quarter of a century later, a similar discovery has been made. In March, 2021, while researching apostasia references in the early fathers for a book I am writing on 2 Thessalonians 2:3, I stumbled across a clear rapture passage in Ephraim of Syria’s Fifty-Five Beatitudes, one of his 150-plus Greek works that have, for the most part, never been translated into English. The nineteenth beatitude reads, “Blessed is he who unceasingly remembers the fear of Gehenna and hastens to sincerely repent in the Lord with tears and groans, for he shall be delivered from the great tribulation.” I was stunned! I couldn’t recall seeing this passage mentioned anywhere in books, magazine articles, web articles, or teaching videos on the pretribulation rapture. I reviewed several sources which provide extensive lists of patristic pretribulation-rapture passages and didn’t find it mentioned. Now my interest was piqued even more. I wondered if there were more. Combing Ephraim’s Works Temporarily setting aside my apostasia research, I perused the titles of all of Ephraim’s Greek works on the TLG website (Thesaurus Linguae Graecae)—all in Latin—and selected about a dozen which suggested that the subject matter was prophetic. Then I began reading through them. Soon I had four rapture references. Then six. I felt like I had discovered a gold mine. When I finished reading through the original list of works, I made a list of the rapture terms that I had observed and searched for them in the entire body of Ephraim’s Greek works. The results were astounding. Soon I had ten rapture references, then twenty, and the discoveries kept coming. I felt like I was walking in a dream. How had this many gems gone undiscovered? When it was all said and done, I had discovered ten passages which were crystal-clear pretribulation rapture references and twenty more that were clearly rapture passages of the same mold but didn’t contain anything in the context which defined it as a pretribulation rapture—a grand total of thirty rapture references. Many of these I have not yet translated or made a full examination of the context. Much work yet remains. Verifying Ephraim’s Eschatology But I was hesitant to release the information to my associates in the prophecy world. What if I was overlooking some critical information that would put a different spin on these passages? I was concerned because some of the fathers taught a post-tribulation rapture where the church is taken up at the end of the time of tribulation and are only spared the day of wrath manifested at the second coming. What if I was reading pretribulation-rapture presuppositions into the Ephraim passages? I decided to carefully read through his prophetic works, take notes on the key points of his prophetic understanding, then compile these notes. I wanted a solid handle on his eschatology. About a dozen works in, it became undeniably clear that Ephraim truly was a believer in a pretribulation rapture. This was especially evident in his work Sermon on the Advent, the End, and the Antichrist where he teaches the rapture, then details what will happen on earth during the tribulation after the church is gone. His handling of the great tribulation is remarkably similar to the modern understanding: 3.5 years in length, a literal antichrist and mark, and an onslaught of divine visitations like famines, earthquakes, and pestilences. He expressly states that the church will “be DELIVERED FROM the tribulation which is about to come upon the earth.” This he qualifies with further explanation which forbids anyone from twisting it into a statement of protection through the tribulation. He adds, “that he might not see it at all, nor the beast himself, nor even hear of its terrors.” Then he addresses the saints who will be saved during the tribulation through the ministry of Elijah and Enoch. They will be delivered from the dragon by taking advantage of hiding spots that God has prepared for them. The distinction in deliverance language between the church and the tribulation saints almost jumps off the page. The church shall be “delivered FROM the tribulation about to come upon the earth” (rusthomen EK thlipsis), a promise which echoes Revelation 3:10, “keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world.” The tribulation saints, on the other hand, face an entirely different delivery. God will “PRESERVE them THROUGH that time” (DIAtereo autous). Communicating the Ephraim Discovery Once I was certain that Ephraim taught a pretribulation rapture and that I understood the general framework of his eschatology, I sent out a notice to everyone on my mailing list, informed a few friends and acquaintances in the prophecy world, and recorded a video for my personal social media channel. For the benefit of my fellow prophecy lovers, I translated Ephraim’s Sermon on the Advent, the End, and the Antichrist — which clearly distinguishes the church saints from the tribulation saints — and posted it on my website (www.soothkeep.info). As far as I have been able to ascertain, my translation is the only one available in English. The ten Ephraim passages are also on my website in both the original Greek and my English translation along with sources and observations. I also posted an article that walks prophecy students through the main points of Ephraim’s eschatology. The Ten Ephraim Passages Here are the ten clear pretribulation rapture statements which I discovered. They are a strong addition to the body of evidence already garnered which demonstrates that pretribulationism was taught by many of the early fathers. (1) Sermon on Repentance and Judgment and the Separation of the Soul from the Body “For the elect shall be gathered prior to the tribulation, so they shall not see the confusion and the great tribulation coming upon the unrighteous world.” (2) On the Fathers who Have Completed Their Course “The holy and the just are chosen and gathered into the harbor of life that they should not see the tribulation and the snares (or stumbling blocks) coming upon us because of our sins. … when we see the saints in glory flying off in light in the clouds of the air to meet Christ, the king of glory, but see ourselves in the great tribulation, who shall be able to bear that shame and terrible reproach?” (3) On the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ “The grace of God strengthens and rejoices the hearts of the righteous; and they shall be siezed up in the clouds to meet him. While those who are lazy and timid like me shall remain on the earth, trembling.” (4) Sermon on the Advent of the Lord, and the End of the Age, and the Coming of the Antichrist “Watch always, praying continually, that you may be worthy to escape the tribulation and stand before God … for if anyone has tears and compunction, let him pray the Lord that he might be delivered from the tribulation which is about to come upon the earth, that he might not see it at all, nor the beast himself, not even hear of its terrors. For there shall be famines, earthquakes, and diverse pestilences upon the earth.” (5) On Patience and the Consummation of this Age, and on the Second Coming “Let us take up in our hearts the full armor … that we may be able to fight the good fight and tread down all the power of the enemy, that we might be delivered from the wrath coming upon the sons of disobedience.” (6) Fifty-Five Beatitudes, #19 “Blessed is he who unceasingly remembers the fear of Gehenna and hastens to sincerely repent with tears and groans to repent sincerely in the Lord, for he shall be delivered from the great tribulation.” (7) Sermon on the Resurrection of the Dead “Count us worthy, Lord, of the rapture of the righteous, when they meet you the Master in the clouds, that we might not be tried by the bitter and inexorable judgment … The righteousness flight is swift, lifting the righteous from earth to heaven.” (8) The Destruction of Pride “Let us pray the Lord in great humility that he would take us out (remove us) from the coming fear, and count us worthy of that rapture (snatching away) when the righteous are raptured (snatched) in the clouds to the air to meet the king of glory.” (9) How the Soul Ought to Pray to God with Tears “Blessed are those who cry day and night that they should be delivered from the coming wrath.” (10) On the Blessed and the Cursed “Blessed are those who cry day and night because they shall be delivered from the coming wrath.” Observations on these Ten Passages Notice the variation in the terminology that Ephraim uses for describing the deliverance that we experience in the rapture: flying off in the clouds while the unsaved are left in the great tribulation, not see the tribulation, delivered from the tribulation, not even hear of the terrors of the tribulation, delivered from the wrath, not tried by the judgment, and taken out (removed) before the coming fear. These phrases demonstrate that he regarded the time of great tribulation to be identical with the time of the coming wrath or judgment. While he distinguished the persecution of the antichrist from the visitations which fell immediately from the hand of God, he regarded both as happening during the same time period. He made no artificial distinction, as some do today, between the time of tribulation under the antichrist and the time of wrath or judgment. He understood that the rapture delivered the church from both the wrath of God and the time of the antichrist. These two things occupied the same time span. Value of the Discovery This discovery of these Ephraim rapture passages brings two blessings. This first is that it nearly doubles the number of clear pretribulation-rapture passages from the early church fathers. The second is that it adds to our understanding of Ephraim. It was already established that he was the most important and prolific of the Syrian fathers in the late fourth century. Now it appears evident that he was a giant who maintained a premillennial and pretribulational testimony in the face of the juggernaut of replacement theology that was crushing all dissent in the church. And little is lost if someone tries to smear these passages with the tired argument that all of the Greek Ephraim material was written by a pseudo-Ephraim from a later century—an argument which I dispute. If these passages were penned by an anonymous author in the fifth or sixth century, then pretribulationism held out even longer against the heresy of replacement theory than generally suspected, which implies that the pretribulational testimony in the third and fourth centuries was even broader and deeper than previously thought. Nearing Midnight: The Problem with Having Managed Economies – Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ There is probably no nation on earth that has a completely free economy. Although most western countries are nowhere near what it is like in China or the old Soviet Union, things have gotten pretty bad. The central banks of most western nations now assume that they have a duty to manage the general direction of the economy. Whenever a government tries to manage markets, the typical result is a disaster. President Erdogan of Turkey has been fixated on strengthening his economy by lowering interest rates. This move has caused the national currency to rapidly decline in value. Erdogan’s fervent belief that high-interest rates cause inflation is why he refused to abandon his crazy plan. The more the Turkish lira plunges in value, the more Erdogan screams for lower rates. Turkey’s consumer prices have soared by the highest rate since 2002. Independent economic institutes such as the Inflation Research Group (ENAG) calculated last month’s annual inflation rate at 82.8 percent. Erdogan did cause the value of the lira to briefly soar when he announced that Turkey’s central bank would ensure the value of people’s bank accounts. It quickly dropped again when it became clear that the central bank could only accomplish this task by printing vast quantities of the lira. After the Federal Reserve declined to guarantee its loans as it did for Bear Stearns, the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers triggered a cascade of other firms to become insolvent. From Lehman Brothers on, no other large financial firm was allowed to go into bankruptcy. Even banks that were in good shape would be given huge amounts of money. The Federal Reserve has rapidly gone from helping the financial system when it gets into trouble to managing the markets from almost a day-to-day basis. If the stock market goes down 500 points, alarm bells sound at the Fed, and the Plunge Protection Team starts buying S&P futures. Another way that the Fed regulated stock price is by giving money to member banks that pass it on to Hedge funds that buy up stocks. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been reading up on the source of government taxes. From listening to various experts on the financial system, I’ve learned why the stock market and real estate are so important to the government. In the early days of American history, the federal government’s income was raised primarily from taxes it placed on imported goods. It wasn’t until World War I that people started paying income tax. As time passed, more and more people were paying fewer taxes. About half the people in America don’t pay any federal taxes. The government gets a huge amount of its income from the sale of homes and stock. During the Financial crisis of 2007–2008, the IRS lost 35% of its tax receipts from the decline in home prices. The only direction that equity prices are allowed to move is in the up direction. All this pump by the Fed has created a massive stock bubble on Wall Street. Apple Inc. just became the first company to have a $3 trillion stock price. Five years ago, Apple was only worth $500 billion. A six-fold return for a company this massive in size should not be possible, but now on Wall Street, any valuation gain can happen. Tesla’s 23-fold rise makes Apple look like a “dead money” stock. If it wasn’t for the COVID-19 stimulus spending, Washington could have had a huge surplus. That’s not how federal money spending works. Give any government $200 billion, and it will spend $350 billion. If Elon Musk cashed in his $340 billion in stock and had to write a $100 billion check to the IRS, we would soon be another $1 trillion deeper in debt. The greatest danger is that soon few people will be writing checks to the IRS from their capital gain sales. Vast numbers of people have stock on margin that is at levels worse than the 1929 crash. Millions of employees are rich, on paper, because they were issued options as payment. Many people who own real estate borrow against the equity value of one home and buy another one. The global financial system has survived so many crises in the past 14 years, I can only conclude that the hand of God is holding things together. Terry and I talk about this situation many times, and we can only presume that this monetary madness has a connection to the rapture. “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief” (1 Thes 5:4). The Bible's Accuracy Vindicated with New Discovery... Again – John Stonestreet - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5152 "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter," writes the author of Proverbs, "but the glory of kings is to search things out." The Biblical account of reality--that God created a world that was knowable and His image-bearers to be knowers--powerfully explains the human drive to learn and investigate the world around us. It also justifies the utilization of general revelation as we pursue knowledge of the created order through various branches of science. To put it bluntly, the Bible is not anti-science. Rather, the Bible explains why science works. And, every once in a while, the Bible offers an insight that sheds further light on an unsolved question of science. That seems to be the case with the Assyrian destruction of Lachish, an event recorded in the book of Kings. The accurate Biblical accounting of this event has provided scientists with a reliable anchor from which to better answer two tricky dilemmas: one having to do with geophysics and the other with archeology. A recurring question of geophysics is how to measure changes in the Earth's magnetic field over time. The Earth's magnetic field acts like a massive cosmic shield, protecting us from solar winds that could disrupt navigational equipment, introduce harmful radiation into the atmosphere, or perhaps even blow our atmosphere away completely. The earth's magnetosphere is not a perfect shield, however. For years, scientists have known of gaps in the magnetosphere over certain regions, which drift over time. However, since measurements have only been collected since the 1850s, there is also a significant gap in our knowledge of how the magnetosphere has changed in the distant past. Though it's possible to take sizeable measurements from the magnetic record in rocks, localized measurements are much harder to obtain. Or, at least, they were harder to obtain until research found a way to use burned-out ruins from ancient archeology. Tel Aviv University's Yoav Vaknin recently led a team to Tel Lachish to measure magnetism. When the Assyrian King Sennacherib burned Lachish in 701 BC, he unknowingly reset the magnetic charges in the minerals found in floors, tools, and pottery pieces. As they cooled, these artifacts re-attuned to the Earth's magnetic field, forming a snapshot of the Earth's magnetic field in that particular location at that specific moment. With enough snapshots like this one, scientists could much better piece together how the magnetic field has changed over time. If, of course, the Biblical dating of this event is accurate. The consensus from historians is that it is. "In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah's reign," 2 Kings 18:13 tells us, "Sennacherib king of Assyria attacked all the fortified cities of Judah." By providing accurate dating of Aramean, Assyrian, and Babylonian conquests of the region, the Bible gives scientists the kind of helpful "data footholds" they can reliably use. And this is connected to a second advance enabled by the Bible in archeology. For reasons not fully understood, radiocarbon dating isn't accurate around the years 800-400 BC, an historical period known as the "The Hallstatt Plateau." The curve of carbon-generated dates around this time is distorted, flattening out where it seemingly shouldn't. As a result, scientists cannot reliably carbon-date objects within a sizeable and important stretch of history. Breakthroughs like the one at Lachish give us a new way to find those dates through archaeomagnetism, a process that uses the magnetic readings from archeological sites to help determine their age. As with the advance in geophysics, archaeomagnetism is dependent on reliable, independently established dates from ancient history. That's the kind of thing Scripture offers over and over again. This isn't the first time the Bible's accuracy has been vindicated, of course. The Old Testament predicted the existence of ancient groups like the Hittites long before anyone discovered evidence of their culture. Its description of the assassination of the same Assyrian king Sennacherib matches the one his son, Esarhaddon, provides in his records. At the ruins of Jericho, many archeologists believe there is evidence of a sudden structural collapse, which would align with how the book of Joshua describes the city's destruction. Of course, many mysteries remain about how the many pieces of the archeological record fit with the Biblical one. But in the words of archeologist and Jewish scholar Nelson Gluek, "[It] may be clearly stated categorically that no archeological discovery has ever controverted a single Biblical reference." Yet, "scores of archeological findings have been made which confirm in clear outline or exact detail historical statements in the Bible." This is what we should expect from a religion grounded in history. The Bible describes real things that happened to real people. We should expect it to provide accurate data about the events it reports, even events from the ancient past. And if true, the data it presents could help us solve puzzles about the world around us. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: The Biden Harris Sotomayor Breyer Kagan Delusion - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com There are a group of leaders in the highest echelon of American government who have demonstrated that they are delusional, and quite possibly insane. They are not fit to lead a horse to water let alone any position in elected or appointed office. Think about what has been going on since the beginning of the year and tell me, no tell your family friends, neighbors, business associates, people standing in the grocery line or at the gas pumps how you really feel. We all have heard about what happened on January 6, 2020 when a bunch of protesters stormed the US Capitol. Many saw it as an ill-fated attempt to protest election results that got out of hand. It most certainly was not a bloody insurrection. On the anniversary of January 6, Kamala Harris actually compared the protesters to the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbor and Islamic terrorists on 9/11. Really? Let us remember in the 9/11 terrorist attack, 2,977 people were killed. In the Pearl Harbor bombing, 2,403 Americans lost their lives. There were five deaths during the Jan 6 protest. One was considered non-medical, Ashli Babbit, an unarmed white woman shot dead by a black officer. Then Joe Biden followed Harris to tell America the “truth” about what happened. He didn’t bother to correct Harris on her outrageous comparisons, but continued the narrative: “Rioters menaced these halls, threatening the life of the Speaker of the House, literally erecting gallows to hang the Vice President of the United States of America.” I guess taking selfies in the Rotunda is life threatening. This is not all of the lunacy. It continued at the Supreme Court hearing on Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates. The three Democrat-appointed members of the highest court in the land showed just how out of touch and ignorant they are. Justice Sonia Sotomayor said, “We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition, many on ventilators.” There were at the time only 3.342 children hospitalized with COVID 19, but not all are there because of COVID. Justice Elena Kagan claimed “the best way” to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is “for people to get vaccinated,” and the “second best way” is to “wear masks.” Both assumptions are crazy false. Justice Stephen Breyer falsely claimed 750 million people in the US tested COVID positive on Thursday. There’s only 330 million people living in the US. Biden, Harris, Sotomayor, Breyer, and Kagan are among the biggest spreaders of misinformation and lies in America. In fact, their claims are delusional, if not totally insane. They demonstrate just how out of touch and ignorant America’s top leaders are, and how uninformed they think you are. My Dad always said “don’t trust the government.” People like these are the reason why. Yet, hey, we let the government seize our hard-earned money every April 15 for the privilege of paying these insane people to lie to us. They are like those in Isaiah 47:10, “For you have trusted in your wickedness: You have said, None see me. Your wisdom and knowledge have perverted you; and you have said in your heart, I am, and none else beside me.” These people’s thoughts, words and deeds are…say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Don’t Wait for the World to Show Up - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? —Romans 10:14 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/dont-wait-for-the-world-to-show-up/ - Listen When it comes to the topic of sharing our faith, a lot of us get very uptight. In fact, one thing that believers and nonbelievers have in common is that both are uptight about evangelism. Nonbelievers are uptight about being evangelized, and believers are uptight about evangelizing them. Yet Jesus commands us to share our faith. We call this the Great Commission, and there are two variations of it in the Bible. Mark’s gospel states it this way: “And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature’” (16:15 NKJV). Matthew’s version says, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age’” (28:18–20 NKJV). So where is Jesus calling us? Into the world. Who is supposed to do this? All believers. And what are we supposed to do? We’re supposed to preach the gospel. These words are directed to every follower of Jesus Christ. But honestly, for some Christians, the Great Commission has become the Great Omission. The commission of the church is not to wait for the world to show up. Rather, the commission of the church is to go to the world. Jesus did not say the whole world should go to church, but He did say the church should go to the whole world. To be a growing Christian, you must go into all the world and preach the gospel. Are you doing your part to fulfill the Great Commission? FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity! America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
