For many of us, this past September was a “high watch” period. It’s certainly not that we set dates or place a limit as to when the Rapture must occur, but everything seemed to be falling in place for Jesus to appear during the past Feast of Trumpets. We watched with eager expectation of meeting Jesus in the air. I know many saints feel a bit disappointed and perhaps discouraged now that September has come and gone. Will we have to endure another year of watching wickedness, deception, and lawlessness grow exponentially? How much longer will we have to wait for the redemption of our bodies and the realization of our glorious hope (see Romans 8:23-25)? I do not have the answers to these questions; however, I remain convinced that Jesus is coming for us very, very soon. Please know that the end of September didn’t put an end to the multitude of signs telling us that the seven-year Tribulation is ever so close. With the Day of the Lord looming on the horizon, the Rapture of the church must be even closer since the Bible assures us that we will miss the entirety of this coming period of God’s wrath upon the earth (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). We will be in heaven with Jesus before the antichrist appears on the world scene. Four months ago, I wrote The Sound of Approaching Hoofbeats in which I showed the nearness of the time when these horsemen will start their trek across planet earth (Revelation 6:1-8). Below, I reprise its main points and explain why the sound of the hoofbeats is even louder today. THE CLAMOR OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER ON OUR DOORSTEP Revelation 6:1-2 tells us about the first seal, the first rider: Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. These verses refer to the antichrist bringing the world together under his rule. The absence of an arrow in the bow points to his accomplishing this objective without force, although he will gather an impressive arsenal of weapons during his campaign. The World Economic Forum (WEF), under the leadership of Klaus Schwab, continues to gain incredible influence over the nations. Without firing a shot, Schwab has placed many of his devotees in key places of leadership in governments across the world. The communistic influence of the WEF continues to rapidly grow in many free countries, including the U.S. The UN, in conjunction with the WEF, recently announced their intention to change their goal of a world government by 2030 under the seventeen goals of its Agenda 2030. They want to establish the New World Order well before that year. THE SABER RATTLING OF NUCLEAR WAR The second rider is that of war as John describes in Revelation 6:4-5: When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. To say that the world has moved closer to a nuclear confrontation during the past four months is a huge understatement. I believe there will be a terrible world war after the rapture that will far exceed the worst wars in all of history. Revelation 6:8 tells us that the “sword,” or war, will contribute to the deaths of one-fourth of the world’s population. It’s likely that nuclear weapons will account for this exceedingly high casualty count. Here are just a few recent developments that tell us the wars of Revelation 6:4-5 are closer now than four months ago: The sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines in late September makes a major war in Europe all the more likely. Vladimir Putin believes that Joe Biden and the west are responsible for this and he’s threatening to strike back. Putin is adding over one million new soldiers to his army. He has called up over three hundred thousand reserves and is drafting many new recruits, including those up to fifty years of age. People are fleeing Russia in droves. They understand the terrors of a likely nuclear war and many also want to escape service in the Russian army. Russia recently annexed four territories in Ukraine proclaiming that any attack on these is an attack on Russia. These are just a few of the multitude of signs that tell us a major war is brewing. If I were to add China, Iran, and North Korea to the mix, the above list would triple or quadruple. There are days when I wonder if the U.S. will even survive as a nation until next September. I realize that the Rapture does not need to happen before God severely judges America, but I believe the full extent of His wrath will fall on the U.S. soon after Jesus takes us home. The “fiery red horse” of war is ever so close to riding: this alone points to the soon fulfillment of the biblical event we call the “Rapture.” MANY VOICES PREDICT ECONOMIC DEVASTATION BY EARLY 2023 The words of Revelation 6:5-6 point to economic devastation: When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” If you think that the world is not on the brink of the conditions described in these verses, you are not paying attention. We are frightfully close! The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines in later September spells disaster for the economies of Germany and the rest of Europe. Here is what economist commentator Michael Snyder wrote about inflation in Germany before the cutoff of gas from Russia: This week, we got some inflation numbers out of Germany that are so high that it is difficult to believe that they are actually real… German producer prices rose in August at the fastest rate since records began in 1949, data released by the Federal Statistical Office showed today, pointing to a further increase in consumer prices. Producer prices of industrial products rose by 45.8 percent compared to the same month of last year. Compared to July 2022, prices rose 7.9 percent. Soaring energy prices on the back of Russia’s war against the Ukraine remain the main driver behind rising prices. If we continue to see monthly increases of around 8 percent, next year at this time we could be talking about a yearly jump of close to 100 percent.[i] The most conservative estimates of the impact of the Nord Stream disaster state that tens of thousands of Europeans will die this winter because they will be unable to heat their homes. Prices of all commodities in Europe and North America will continue to sharply rise as energy prices skyrocket. Several months ago I wrote Is America on the Cusp of a Food Catastrophe? I quoted several prominent people warning of great trouble ahead for the economy of America. THE RIDER OF DEATH The result of all these end of days horrors will be a death count higher than anything the world has seen since the Genesis 6 flood. Revelation 6:7-8 describes what the world will experience when Jesus opens the fourth seal: When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Right now, one-fourth of the world’s population would be almost two billion people, and that marks just the start of the prophesied Tribulation woes. Do we see this on the horizon of our world? Absolutely! In one of my recent articles, Depopulation: The Sign that Tells Us Jesus’ Appearing is at Hand, I provide considerable evidence of how the elite globalists of our day are seeking to dramatically reduce the population of our world. Be assured that depopulation efforts, nuclear war, and famine all fit with the wicked and deadly agenda of both Klaus Schwab and his disciples around the world. The WEF and the UN’s Agenda 2030 all have as their goal a New World Order with the elite enslaving a greatly reduced human population. Noah Harari, Schwab’s chief advisor, believes that the majority of people are “useless eaters.” Please don’t doubt the vile and evil agenda of the globalists that control many governments in our world, including that of the U.S. They don’t care how many innocent people die as the result of their accomplishing their goals. They are motivated by Satan and Jesus clearly explained his character as that of a deceiver and “murderer” (John 8:44, 10:10). It shouldn’t surprise us that the nations within his realm so willingly kill and destroy innocent lives. JESUS IS COMING VERY, VERY SOON What do all things tell us? They assure us that Jesus is coming very, very soon. If the prophetic events of Revelation 6:1-8 loom so close on the horizon, and they do, how much closer must we be to the Rapture of the church that must occur before these things happen? Please, don’t be dismayed that you remain on the earth longer than you anticipated or would like. Jesus is coming in the very near future; nothing has changed. Based on my study of God’s Word, I’m absolutely convinced of these three things: We live in the season of the Rapture; Jesus is coming for us in the very near future. The Rapture must happen before the start of the seven-year Tribulation. Jesus will return to earth as a conquering King after the seven-year Tribulation and reign over all the nations of the world for a thousand years from a gloriously restored Israel. The Bible tells us that Jesus will sit on the throne of David. Jesus will not disappoint us; count on it. He will fulfill His promise in John 14:2-3 and take us to the place He’s preparing for us. The glory ahead for us is well worth the wait. Keep holding on and looking up in eager anticipation of Christ’s appearing. Russian foreign intelligence is claiming that a western country was involved in the execution of the incident. Adding salt to the wound, Russia continues to target the civilian population in Ukraine. Last week, the Russians hit a convoy of Ukrainian refugees trying to flee the contested region of Zaporizhzhia. At least 23 people were killed in the attack. However, the most notable moment related to Russia surfaced when Vladimir Putin announced that four Ukrainian provinces have been officially annexed to Russia. As of this week, Russia considers any attack against these annexed areas an attack against Russia itself. The Biden Administration responded with widened sanctions on Russian officials following the announcement of the annexation. Not only is Russia hinting at the future use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, but the Chechen Republic is also encouraging the Russians to proceed in this manner following the Russian retreat from Liman in Eastern Ukraine. Just days ago, NATO warned its member states of Russia’s deployment of the K-329 Belgorod Nuclear Submarine equipped with the Poseidon Nuclear Missile. This week, Russia began nuclear tests on its border with Ukraine. Russia even has its hand in what’s taking place regarding the lack of oil output via OPEC+. The current oil cut is the largest since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020. Russia is influencing this lack of output in an attempt to increase oil prices around the world. Iran continues to struggle internally with a host of riots taking place in opposition to the corrupt regime. Recently, at least 19 people were killed and several others were injured in the Sistan and Baluchistan provinces alone. A statue of the late Iranian General Qassem Soleimani was set on fire at one of the protests. He’s considered a national hero in the eyes of the ayatollahs. But Iran has other problems, as its currency, the rial, hit an all-time low of 330,000 rials to one dollar. A young lady named Nika Shakarami was kidnapped by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces throughout the protests last week. After an extensive search for her body, her family was asked to come identify that which was found. She had been beaten extensively before being killed and was buried elsewhere. When it comes to Iran and Russia, the former is being humiliated by its own people and is imploding economically. The latter is being embarrassed on a global scale due to its lack of success in Ukraine and is dealing with a crumbling economy. Believe me, war is closer than ever. Nearly two dozen people were killed in an attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, that was carried out by Sunni extremists. Sadly, the Biden Administration had a role in pressuring Israel to give up some of its territory in order to resolve the dispute related to the Israel-Lebanon maritime border. Our current prime minister, Yair Lapid, was called out by former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his agreement with US officials to consider handing over some of Israel’s sovereign territory. The idea of giving up land for peace has never and will never work when the people you’re dealing with want to eliminate you from the face of the earth. Israel officially rejected the Lebanese remarks to its proposal on Thursday. Iran is continuing to threaten the UAE and Saudi Arabia following the expiration of the ceasefire between the Saudi Kingdom and the Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis are funded by Iran and are responsible for countless rocket attacks on Saudi and Emirati oil resources. North Korea wanted to stay relevant this week, so it decided to send a missile in the direction of Japan, which would ultimately end up in the ocean. Japan called on its citizens in the northeastern region of the country to take shelter and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol warned that his country would respond to the incident. On Thursday, North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles toward its eastern waters Thursday after the United States redeployed an aircraft carrier near the Korean Peninsula in response to Pyongyang’s previous launch of a nuclear-capable missile over Japan. Tens of thousands of Jews could be seen at the Western Wall ahead of Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) early this week. To Nuke or Not to Nuke? What Will Putin Do? – Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. Boykin - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5640 On September 30, Russia's President Vladimir Putin declared once again that he would use "all available means" to defend Russian territory. The New York Times reported: Mr. Putin reminded the world of President Harry S. Truman's decision to drop atomic weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, 77 years ago, adding, 'By the way, they created a precedent.' On Saturday, the strongman leader of the southern Russian republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said Mr. Putin should consider using 'low-yield nuclear weapons' in Ukraine, becoming the first prominent Russian official to openly call for such a strike. With this latest threat in mind, it is noteworthy that days before Russia's initial invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, President Vladimir Putin was personally overseeing military exercises with Belarus -- exercises that were blatantly nuclear in nature. On February 18, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko announced his willingness to join Vladimir Putin in strategic nuclear drills, a day after annual strategic drills of nuclear-capable missiles were to take place "under the supervision of Russian armed forces supreme commander-in-chief, Vladimir Putin." Those well-publicized nuclear exercises happened just six days before Russia's invasion of Ukraine, launched on February 24. At the time, Putin authorized "special military operations," and Russian forces began missile and artillery attacks, striking major Ukrainian cities including Kyiv. The earlier military exercises in Belarus -- which flaunted nuclear capabilities -- was Putin's way of psychologically preparing his enemies for the Ukraine invasion. In the weeks and months to follow, he has repeatedly employed nuclear threats and insinuations to bolster his power. Notably, he has immediately put those nuke threats to use when things aren't going his way. Putin has continued to use such words as "escalating" and "provocative" to describe Ukraine's military operations, intentionally triggering fears of his own potentially deadly responses. And while many observers have implied that Putin is bluffing about nukes, or that he would not dare to use the weapons he has at his disposal -- both strategic and tactical -- Putin's threats should be taken seriously. There are three countries concerned with this conflict that have both strategic and tactical nuclear weapons: Britain, France, and the United States. If Russia employed any kind of a nuclear weapon in a NATO or EU country, or close enough to a border to cause harm, that action would activate NATO Article 5: all NATO countries are obligated to respond in unity when one is attacked. Putin knows this would instigate a nuclear response. The only time Article 5 has been invoked was in September 2001, following the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Likewise, if Russia initiated a nuclear attack on Ukraine, due to the proximity of several NATO countries' vulnerability to radiation fallout, a collective defense would be unique and enduring. In fact, it would be the preferred course of action. First of all, it is obvious to all concerned -- including Vladimir Putin -- that the use of a strategic nuclear weapon would lead to the destruction of Moscow, followed by an unimaginable conflict costing the lives of millions around the world. And Putin knows that nobody would win. But what about the use of a tactical nuke? These are weapons for localized use, targeting military formations, ammunition depots or command and control centers. They would be launched by use of bombs, short-range missiles, artillery tubes, land mines, depth charges, and torpedoes equipped with nuclear warheads. "If the Russians have it in their arsenal as a conventional weapon, you can be pretty safe in assuming it has a nuclear warhead that goes with it," said an unidentified former senior National Security Council official, who still advises U.S. Strategic Command. "Almost every single weapon the Russians have is nuclear-capable. If it's an artillery system, if it's an air-defense system, if it's a torpedo, if it's a cruise missile, it could have a nuclear warhead with it." So, would Putin launch such an attack? And if he wanted to, would the people around him permit him to do so? They know what is at stake also and have a lot to lose in a conventional nuclear exchange. What about the oligarchs that support Putin, who are also wealthy people with interests of their own? Could they stop him? The fact is that if Putin uses any kind of nuclear weapon -- even a tactical one -- the war is over and he will have lost. The use of tactical nuclear weapons would most likely cause the drift of radiation across borders into NATO countries. This would prompt an immediate Article 5 response. Subsequently, faced with a combined force of NATO assets -- a missile and/or drone attack along with the massive use of conventional weapons dropped from NATO aircraft -- Putin's army would be pulverized, including his army in Crimea. Russia has 4,477 total nuke warheads. Among those thousands, we know that some 1,900 are tactical, low yield and not strategic. They could be used to attack a column of tanks, an aircraft carrier group, or many other specific targets. Meanwhile, 600-800 are strategic and could destroy entire cities. Putin clearly has weapons available to him. But is it credible that he would actually use a nuke? Or, as many hopefully imply, is he bluffing? It is clear that in the days before he officially launched his Ukraine invasion, Putin made specific and intentional preparations to upscale his image as a nuclear player. He did so fully intending to intimidate the west with potential Russian nuclear activity. The military Belarus exercises were blatantly nuclear in nature, providing Putin with a means of bullying and otherwise threatening his foes with devastating destruction -- which he has continued to do. But again, is this just part of his propaganda campaign? Today we know little about Putin's present state of mind or level of emotional vulnerability. How desperate might he become as he watches failure after failure of his once-vaunted army and his supposedly invincible battle plans? The best we can do now is continue to protect Ukraine. Because, despite his saber-rattling and nuclear warnings, it is likely Vladimir Putin would make careful calculations before taking such dire action. If not, he surely knows that he will be faced with non-stop retaliation and unimaginable destruction. Jesus Longs for Rapture – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2022/10/06/jesus-longs-for-rapture/ Wish I could claim the thought within this commentary as my own, but I can’t. The realization comes from the Holy Spirit, as do all thoughts that truly glorify our God. But, humanly speaking, I must give credit for sparking my thinking to Dr. David Jeremiah, whose program Turning Point I try to catch at 5:00 or 5:30 (Central Time) on either A&E or The History Channel each week day morning. So it was the other day that Dr. Jeremiah began talking about the compilation of evils we are now witnessing. How, if attuned to things going on in our nation and around the world, those who aren’t believers could easily be in a constant state of depression, or worse. Those not paying attention to things going on—the majority of people going down that broad way along with all of humanity—have little awareness of the signals of catastrophe just ahead. They are busy going through the routines of life and don’t even want to understand why we are now supposed to believe, according to godless cultural corruptors, that man created God, rather than God created man. We are told that we, not God, must determine which gender we think we should be (or parents think we ought to be). Biblical order is now supplanted by political correctness and woke directives derived from social media acolytes who now more and more demonically govern from their basements and other dark, safe places. Kindergartners should be taught the perversions of sexual activity by transvestites and outright pedophiles. Men, under the guise of transsexual metamorphosis can interact with teenage girls in locker rooms and restrooms, and anyone who says otherwise is persecuted and even prosecuted as being phobic and haters. Boys’ restrooms now must, by public school administrative rules, have tampon dispensers. Men must be acknowledged as being capable of being pregnant; else those objecting can be hounded, harassed, and even legally charged with hate speech. Our top leaders within the US government try at every legislative and judicial level to turn the greatest nation in history–in terms of liberty under our Constitution—into a third-world dystopia. The sellout to the New World Order minions, such as those of the World Economic Forum, continues to be a never-ending assault on this once God-blessed republic. So it was that Dr. Jeremiah was painting the picture and pointing out that it’s no wonder that Christians who see and understand these things are praying that Jesus will call us home. I, and many I know who have prophetic ministries, hear from those who want more than anything for the Rapture of the Church to occur. I get many such thoughts through email each week, and the numbers are increasing. Prayers are going up incessantly to the throne, imploring that Christ step out on the clouds of glory and call believers to Himself. Yes. I frequently pray the same. There are those who see, in every event reported, intensive hope of the Rapture taking place within days or weeks at most. These begin postulating on whether this or that event will be the proverbial straw that breaks the back of the camel. Will this event or that bring into God’s holy nostrils a stench from the corrupt world that will make His cup of filling wrath finally overflow? Yes. I’ve had some of those thoughts as well… Or will this or that happening with regard to Israel cause the Lord to call the Church out so He can again begin dealing with the Jews, where things left off with Christ’s crucifixion—thus bringing in Daniel’s seventieth week–the Tribulation? Like, for example, do the five red heifers that are in the news at present indicate the Rapture can happen at any moment? Or the train that is being constructed to deliver Jews swiftly and en masse to Jerusalem–is this precursor to the building of the Third Temple, thereby showing how very near we are to the Rapture? These things, I took it, were cocooned within David Jeremiah getting to the point of the many prayers going up to the throne imploring that the Rapture take place. But it was when he brought into the message the words of the Lord Jesus that really caught my attention. Dr. Jeremiah said something like: “Even as much as we want the Rapture, did you know that Jesus wants that time of bringing us home even more than we want it?” He then gave an eloquent dissection of perhaps my favorite portion of all Scripture. It is the section that most touches me. He went through Jesus’ Words in the Gospel of John, chapter 17. This, of course, is Jesus’ prayer to His Father for each and every believer who will ever live. And, I agree with David. He said that this section of the Bible, of all portions, is truly holy ground, and we must take off our shoes here (symbolically equating this time of Christ’s prayer to Moses’ time before God when receiving the Commandments.) The pastor pointed, then, to Jesus’ most profound expression of desire to God the Father, and urged us to consider how much Jesus loves those who are His own–all believers. David spoke of how intensely Jesus desires to have us with Him—not to Indwell us, as He already does, but to have us in the place He spoke of as recorded in another part of John’s Gospel. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:1–3) Jesus implored His Father: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17:22–24) Jesus’ capacity for love, for intense desire, is far above any human love or intensity of desire. Jesus wants us with Himself even more than we are capable of wanting it. This is the message in this portion of His magnificent prayer directly to His Father. Is there any doubt that God the Father will honor the request of His Son in this regard? There is no doubt whatsoever from this quarter. Like so many of you, I believe the moment of Christ’s call is very close. To go to the Savior, our Brother, our Bridegroom, our Lord and God when He calls, you must be willing to do the following. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9–10) Daily Jot: Release of the Blue Horse – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Democracy is about everyone getting a vote and majority rule, irrespective of laws. That’s really the bottom line. And Democrats support democracy. Therein is the danger. A Constitutional Republic, which governs the US, requires voters to be qualified and they elect representatives to make laws and vote on policies, according to the governance of the Constitution. They are both horses, so to speak, but they are not the same color or breed. As elections draw near, citizens of every locality must be vigilantly beware of democracy—where everyone gets to vote regardless of their qualifications. The Washington, D.C. City Council is just one example of what happens to the vote under Democratic control. The Hill reports that on Tuesday DC Councilmember Charles Allen introduced a bill to allow everyone in DC a vote. He said, “Our immigrant neighbors of all statuses participate, contribute and care about our community in our city. They, like all DC residents, deserve a right to have a say in their government…They raise families here, contribute to their community. They run businesses that people depend on, and they pay taxes that we decide how to spend. Yet they have no ability to elect local leaders who make decisions about their bodies, their businesses and their tax dollars.” Then the DC City Council promptly voted 12-1 to allow all foreign nationals to vote in local elections. Ignoring the national requirement of a qualified voter—must be 18 and a citizen of the United States—the DC City Council will allow anyone to vote irrespective of whether they are legal, have visas, or are illegally in the United States. The only requirement is being 18 years of age and a resident of DC for 30 days. This opens the door for true democracy as a model for the rest of the nation. It is the end game of the Democratic Party from a philosophical perspective. This is one of the main reasons that Democratic Party leadership does not enforce border security. Democrats want complete open elections with no registration, no citizenship, no voter qualifications. This is why Democrats say Republicans are trying to suppress the vote when efforts are made to remove dead people and non-residents from the voter rolls, or enforce the laws of voting requirements. A true democracy would not hinder any vote or any means to encourage voting. Therefore, anyone who seeks to follow legal voter requirements is trying to prevent people from voting. The “republican” form of government has its roots in the wisdom found in Exodus18:21, “Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.” Notice the qualifications and the representative structure. Democracy is a horse of a different color. Beware of those riding it. Don’t assume that people know what you’re talking about. On the Day of Pentecost, Peter knew his audience. Many of the people in the crowd that he addressed had witnessed the crucifixion of Jesus, and there were some in the crowd who literally played a role in actually crucifying Jesus. Peter quoted many verses from the Scriptures because his audience was largely Jewish and knew the Scriptures. In contrast, the people today are more like those whom Paul spoke to on Mars Hill in Athens. Paul said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to the unknown god. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you” (Acts 17:22–23 NKJV). Paul’s message was quite different in structure from Peter’s message. Peter was speaking to a biblically literate audience, while Paul was speaking to a biblically illiterate audience. That’s why it’s a good idea to get to know the people you’re speaking with. It’s a dialogue, not a monologue. Start with compassion because people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
