“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)
 
8 “For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9 For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me.” (Zechariah 2:8-9)
 
“ I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” (Joel 3:2)
 
We pray for those who have been hit hard by the flood waters from hurricanes that hit Texas and Louisiana, and it crosses our mind once again, “Why has this happened?” But why Texas, which is the bastion of conservative principles, at least when you speak of the Republican party. But why not Texas,? For in God's eyes, He sees not political affiliation but what is hidden in man's moral closet, or as has been the case in the last 40 years, the immorality has come out of the closet and is on display on our streets for all to see (ie.) Homosexuality, lawlessness, murder, rape, and demise of the children within the womb of abortion.
 
IS GOD TRYING TO GET OUR ATTENTION?
 
As we approach the end of days for the rule of mankind upon this earth, we see environmental disasters all over this planet. Volcanoes that have been dormant for hundreds, if not thousands of years coming to life and causing devastation in their path. We see weather patterns that have not been this active in generations of the American people. I am a witness to the lack of a real summer last year, as we have had rainfall after rainfall, and many times way too much. Flooding of low lying areas even here in the Midwest and unseasonable cool weather. I have never witnessed such a summer as we had just experienced and what appears to be an early fall starting in August?? Isn't that supposed to be the “Dog Days of Summer” with its dry conditions and heat and humidity? Not that year. The environment we live in is not what we are used to. All the signs in the heavens and the predictions of something major that could happen in the near future. It gives a person a sense of pause and trepidation when they are bombarded with such news of our earth.
 
The convulsions of this planet are growing stronger and stronger and the elements of weather seem to have gone awry, which the Bible calls birth pangs. But it was prophesied it would be so, as scripture has told us.
 
“6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:6-8)
 
and again in Romans
 
“21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body..” ( Romans 8:21-23)
 
Consider what is currently happening in our country of America. The connection between nature and human morality; as "natural" disasters are acts of God in response to the moral condition of the people. If men will treat other men, created in the image of God in an immoral way, how will they treat the land, forests, rivers, lakes, and oceans? Because these things seemingly cannot fight back, man will abuse them with no fear of reprisal. But God says that the environment will fight back and vomit them out!
 
Instead of rain falling in a gentle mist, it will roar like an avalanche until the inhabitants cannot cope with it. The rivers will swell and flood the land in anger, washing the topsoil into the sea. In other areas, fire will sweep over forests and farmlands, destroying everything in its path as has been happening all along the west coast of America up into Canada.
 
Windstorms like hurricanes and tornadoes will devastate the cities and countryside, endangering the lives and livelihoods of the people. Earthquakes will increase in both frequency and power, costing thousands of lives and billions of dollars of damage. These disasters will mount to such an intensity that the people of earth may seek remedy, but it will be too late. God will not pass by anymore.
 
11 “For, behold, the Lord commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?”(Amos 6:11-13)
 
"The great house" refers to the noble or wealthy family in society, and these "big names" will certainly be destroyed along with the common folk. The rich and powerful will not be able to escape the dreadful punishment God promises. God makes it clear that He has given the command to destroy them.
 
We should never forget that God's punishment had fallen upon Ancient Israel because of disobedience, rebellion, and sin. America and the British nations are rapidly following ancient Israel's example as they spiral downward to their destruction. We can see this pattern in the murder on the streets, bloody crimes like rape and mutilation in our once peaceful towns. We see AIDS and other sexual diseases rampant among all sectors of society, as well as sexual deviancy, perverse music, self-indulgence, drugs, and alcohol abuse. Riots in the streets with untold amount of destruction of businesses and government buildings. Wealth is being funneled into the hands of the few, and the poor and weak keep becoming poorer and weaker. These nations may look fine on the outside, but the cancer has spread from head to toe, and they have only so long before the disease proves fatal
 
Anybody who has been watching the news, knows there is nothing good to report, as the land and the people have succumbed to the lust of their flesh and their beastly tendency for violence. These riots in the streets that inflict many protest with an administration who does nothing but seek to divide the country along racial lines. We saw the last administration head by President Trump that was trying to steer this country back to its moral under pinning’s and “Drain the Swamp”…as the culture of the Washington DC establishment has grown totally corrupt, but the left is putting as much resistance as it can muster to derail any attempt to thwart the plans of the Globalist who saw POTUS Trump as a hindrance to their plans for a One World Government and a New World Order. We see Rhinos that betray their own party and its ideas. They and all like them, need to be voted out, ASAP. Hence, the last election saw plainly of shenanigans of election stealing and fraud to install, (not truly elect) a man the elite oligarchs believe they can control.
 
IN THE LAST DAYS....
 
This flagrant disregard for morality is fostered by Satan the devil and has tempted men to give into their brutish tendencies as God told us it would be so.
 
1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2nd Timothy 3:1-7)
 
Does that not sound like what is happening all over the planet, and has come to America where evil grows exponentially? I don't know about you, but the world has grown more evil since the time I was a youngster and has no likeness of what I grew up in. Evil is more prevalent in the larger metropolitan cities where the concentration of people are gathered, but even this immorality and evil behavior is filtering down to the Midwestern smaller cities and towns. Surely God will judge this nation, or He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah for their evil behavior if He gives this nation a pass. AND HE WON'T.
 
THE CAUSE OF ISRAEL WILL BE OUR DESTRUCTION
 
Although the moral behavior is causing God to bring judgment on this land and those around the world, one factor is causing even more calamity on our shores. Now I make no prediction of what God is thinking, as I am not God, but I see what has happened in our past when it comes to the treatment of one nation, the nation of Israel. The last administration made in-roads trying to bring peace to the Middle East, by bringing our embassy to Jerusalem, confirming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and supporting the claim of the Golan Heights by Israel that it belongs to them. But since January, I fear that progress will be destroyed by the likes of who occupies the Oval Office now. I was reading on Google and was searching for disasters that might be related to the treatment of Israel. It came to no surprise when I read that after each attempt to divide the land of Israel , in the past, even since the early 1990s when President H.W. Bush tried it, then Clinton, then George W. Bush, and Obama tried to bring a “two state solution” to the problems that Israel is experiencing with her Arab population that resides within her borders. This is but one article that enumerates the many times that disaster has happened when American thinks they can broker a land for peace deal and push it upon Israel.
 
WHY DOES AMERICAN PERSIST?
 
The news spoke of yet another attempt to divide God's land by the past administration. You would think, if Trump is a Christian man, (as I have read that he gave his life to Jesus), someone would have advised him on the foolishness of trying to jump start a “peace process” that has been doomed to failure by the last four administrations. It is impossible to attempt such a foolhardy thing as to negotiate with a party that has no desire for a two state solution. The Palestinian Authority headed by henchman, Mahmoud Abbas who is nothing but a terrorist on the order of the deceased Yasser Arafat, but wears a suit to look more legitimate, has not an ounce of interest in a two state solution. He only does as Arafat did. He appears to be interested in a political solution, but rejects any offer, as it has been done time and time again. Reason? The Arabs that have taken root in Israel want nothing short of driving Israel into the sea and drowning her. She will not settle for anything less, as per Muslim ideology states “All Muslim land conquered in the past, must be liberated.” In the past, Islam cared very little for Israel as it was mostly forgotten. That is, until Israel started returning to their own land, then the Arabs wanted the land, because of their hatred of the Jewish people.
 
President Trump sent an ambassador to Israel in the form of his son-in law Jared Kushner and the news media reported :
 
“In a bid to restart a moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace process, Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump's adviser and son-in-law, met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv on Thursday.
 
Accompanied by a high-level American delegation, Kushner reiterated Trump's commitment to finding a lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which Trump has referred to as "the ultimate deal."
 
Netanyahu said such a deal is "within our reach," and promised to work with the Trump administration 'to advance peace, stability and security in our region.'
 
But the short readout of the introduction provided by Israel's Government Press Office lacked clear specifics or any stated goals. The White House, in pursuing a peace deal, had yet to lay out a framework for negotiations following multiple meetings with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.” CNN political news
 
Is there a link between the effort on the part of the Trump administration and the recent hurricanes that hit Texas hard? If the past history of such attempts with subsequent environmental disasters on the heels of such a plan proves anything, it says to me “Don't mess with Israel” I have been long a proponent that Israel is the door to end time prophecy and Jerusalem is the key to unlocking that door.
 
Now we have a man in the White House who is no friend of Israel in the least...He will cause much conflict in the area by returning to the Iranian nuclear deal that Trump opted out of. I feel we are close to war in the region because of the mindless acts of this so-called POTUS.
 
In recent weeks, a new chapter in the madness of the World Community concerning Israel has flooded the news with its continued insanity. With all the problems we see in the Middle East with the past civil war in Syria, the past rise of ISIS killing Christians, and anyone that didn't line up with their hateful ideology including Sunni Muslims, nuclear aggression by an insane leader in North Korea, Iran building nuclear facilities to manufacture a nuclear weapon to control the whole Middle East and still threatens Israel with annihilation,  the U.N. that condemned Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria as illegal and demanding they return to their pre-1967 borders that are indefensible, giving up East Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Wailing Wall to the likes of the so called “Palestinians”. Where are their world political priorities to single out Israel? What could possibly be in the mind of POTUS Biden when America has failed to reach any type of settlement with the two parties of this conflict?
 
Every time that the world thinks they are going to divide God's land or take punitive measures to unilaterally punish Israel in a “Land for Peace” initiative, tragedy has struck every time, and it is aimed primarily at the leader of the free world, the USA for its involvement in attempting to come against Israel. What will happen this time as America makes another attempt at coming against God's Holy Land? Just watch as more environmental disasters develop on our west and east coast, or fires that ravage the country, or reported droughts in the Southwest that will lead to higher food prices or the lack of food for the population of America.
 
MESSING WITH ISRAEL IS DANGEROUS
 
Is not Israel a sovereign country? Who are we to think that we can dictate to another country the terms of the disposition of their own lands within their borders? Would any country, nation, or union allow another outside nation to divide their country? How about let's let Mexico take back California, Arizona, and New Mexico because it used to belong to them? Would that work in anybody's playbook? No? I didn't think so. So why is Israel any different than any other country?
 
The answer is Satan has a hatred for Israel that will NEVER subside, as this nation of Jewish people is where the Messiah came from. This is the nation that God has chosen as His special people, above all nations on earth.
 
35” Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.” (Jeremiah 31:35-36)
 
This is Satan's attempt to make God out a liar, as if he can thwart what God said concerning Israel as always being before Him, then if Satan can destroy Israel, it might make God relent on Satan's final judgment in the Lake of Fire which he knows is coming.
 
AMERICA IN GOD'S CROSS-HAIRS
 
Not only has our country become lawless in many areas of the country as we have mentioned, with its moral decline and abomination before God in homosexuality and the murder of the innocent in abortions, but the sins of this country are stacking up to where the God of the Universe is waiting for the right time to bring the hammer of judgment down in a crushing blow that will send her reeling into a fiery inferno. Note that the Yellowstone super volcano is coming awake, according to volcanic seismologist and if she awakens (not if, but when), as did Mount St. Helens, the effect will destroy all life on this continent from the east to the west coast from starvation due to her effects of blotting out sunlight for many years. Not to mention her immediate destruction of super hot volcanic ash that rains down on the states in a swatch a 100 mile radius or more.
 
THE WORLD BORDERS ON THE TRIBULATION
 
The prophet Daniel, and both Paul and John foretell a peace agreement with Israel that kicks off the Tribulation Period. Daniel says that a leader of the revived Roman Empire confirms a peace covenant between Israel and her enemies, which he breaks halfway through. Is this what will be the product of this coming attempt by this present administration? What will become of this new plan for dividing God's land?
 
In context, one could assume the covenant involves a mutual defense agreement, since, after the walls come down, Ezekiel says this Russian-led Islamic alliance launches a sneak invasion against Israel.
 
17 “Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man's sword shall be against his brother.(Ezekiel 38:17-21) 
 
Ezekiel goes on to write that says Israel's 'allies' launch what amounts to little more than a weak diplomatic objection, either from inability to respond, because of America's destruction or indifference.
 
...You see the Dominos lining up and each are beginning to fall, as the world flies head long into the coming Tribulation and the removal of God's church from this planet. The political news is moving so fast, that is hard to keep up. Russia in the Middle East making nice and continues to support Iran, fighting in Syria and the possibility of the Oracle of Damascus being fulfilled, the isolation and treachery heaped upon God's land and people....a coming war prophesied of the Gog-Magog invasion, and most likely bringing about a 7 year treaty with Israel because of the total devastation that rained down upon the invaders.
 
Thus ushering in the coming 7 year tribulation that looms larger, as the puzzle pieces are ushered into place waiting for their act in world history to be orchestrated by the God of the universe that will bring to pass (Joel 3:2.)
 
The literal fulfillment of prophecies penned tens of centuries ago continue to unfold in our generation. Right down to details such as Israel's Tribulation status as a 'land of unwalled villages'.
 
The same Guiding Hand responsible for the prophecy of Ezekiel's unwavering accuracy (Ezekiel 37-39) and attention to detail also guided those prophecies that yet remain to be fulfilled. Don't let anybody steal away your excitement! We are that special, chosen generation who 'shall not pass away, until all be fulfilled." The time of Jacob's trouble is in the near future as the picture grows plainer and more into focus as time passes...
 
WHEN THE TRIBULATON COMES, WHERE WILL YOU BE?
 
If anything, those reading this commentary and can see what is happening on the ground for the USA, for Israel and the rest of the world should see with eyes wide open what is coming. .When these passages come to pass a war could break out any minute between Israel and the God of the Universe in this corner...and the Gog-Magog coalition in the other corner with an impotent USA that has been decimated from environmental disasters not being unable to intervene.....when fighting starts, it will be a mass suicide of those who dare come against God's ancient people who He has gathered on the mountains of Israel.
 
But just prior to that historical event, another most important event will take place, as all hell will break loose and the devil and his evil host will attempt to destroy all of mankind, and to secure worship for himself, as he has lusted for power reserved only for God Almighty when he brings the Anti-Christ upon the world scene.
 
7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8And THEN shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:” (2nd Thessalonians 2:7-8)
 
This is a prophetic warning that when the beginning of the 70th week of Daniel begins, most likely with the aforementioned “peace treaty” with Israel, the Anti-Christ will step front and center stage. But I see the Church being removed prior to this if you take a careful reading of scripture, when the man of sin is revealed the Holy Spirit is removed from this earth in its fullness and we who have His Spirit residing in each of us, will leave with Him. Why? Because Jesus said He would never leave us alone, or comfortless and my God cannot lie...We are leaving..and possibly soon...
 
Some people scoff and think we are grasping at straws. But fear them not, we are not grasping at straws, or following vague and ambiguous prophecies that can be explained away by calling them 'interpretations.' This is the real thing.
 
"And when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." (Luke 21:28)
 
And brothers and sisters, the signs are all around us, screaming of their coming fulfillment. Be not those who slumber, but keep alert and watching, for our Lord will come when they least expect it.
 
I implore you, don't be caught flat footed when the Trump of God sounds, and Jesus cries “Come up hither”...God tells us that today is the day of salvation...not tomorrow, or the next day, as we are not promised either. Believe in these two passages which is a microcosm of what the Bible was written for....yours and my salvation...........
 
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)
 
Then confess with you mouth what God has done for you, by saving you from your sins and believing the following:
 
8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13)

Arabs are growing increasingly concerned about Iran's sinister intentions and deception as the Iranians and representatives of Germany, France, Britain, Russia, and China continue their negotiations in Vienna about reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, which the Trump administration abandoned in 2018.
 
The deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), is ostensibly aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Under the JCPOA, Iran agreed to eliminate its stockpile of medium-enriched uranium, cut its stockpile of low-enriched uranium by 98%, and reduce by about two-thirds the number of uranium gas centrifuges for 13 years. After the deal expires in a few years, however, Iran may build as many nuclear weapons as it wants. In that sense, the JCPOA deal was a runway to a full-blown nuclear weapons program.
 
On May 8, 2019, Trump announced the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, which Iran had been secretly violating, and Iran has been repeatedly violating the terms of the accord ever since.
 
The Iranians appear optimistic that the talks will bring the US back to the deal, saying a "new understanding" seems to be taking shape.
 
"We think that the talks have reached a stage where parties are able to begin to work on a joint draft," Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Iran's state television. "It seems that a new understanding is taking shape, and now there is agreement over final goals."
 
Arab columnists and political analysts who have been following the present negotiations in Vienna are convinced that Iran is once again poised to play the international community for fools. They warned the US and the other world powers against repeating the mistake of the past by falling for the Iranian ploy.
 
"History is repeating itself," wrote Saudi writer and researcher Abdullah bin Bajad Al-Otibi. "Those who commit the same mistakes and expect different results are deceiving themselves."
 
Al-Otibi described the 2015 Iran nuclear as an utter failure. "Regardless of the results of the Vienna talks, they will repeat the same mistake," he remarked.
 
"One of the most important reasons for the failure of the previous agreement was that it excluded the Arab Gulf states completely. Today, the same mistake is being repeated. The result will certainly not be different."
 
The Saudi writer pointed out that the Gulf states' demand to participate in the Vienna talks was ignored by the world powers. "The exclusion of the Gulf states confirms that the talks are aimed at reviving a dead agreement," Otibi argued. "The Western appeasement of Iran has reached new heights and the Iranian regime is exploiting that with some bravado."
 
According to Otibi, one of the "sins" of the previous nuclear deal was that it did not clearly address two main issues:
 
"First, the agreement did not address the Iranian regime's ambitions of hegemony and its blatant interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries through direct and semi-direct occupation in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. That is why Iran's evilness increased after that failed agreement, until a US administration that was tougher with Iran arrived.
 
"Second, the previous nuclear agreement did not address Iran's ballistic missiles that were threatening the Gulf states, and that was a major reason for the failure of that agreement. Iran today is targeting Saudi oil and global energy supplies, as well as civilians, as the world is watching."
 
Otibi warned that the world will quickly discover that once some sanctions against Iran are lifted, Iranian-sponsored terrorism will continue and "many will pay the price of inaction."
 
Syrian writer Bahaa Al-Alawam warned that the Vienna talks were not taking into consideration the interests and legitimate concerns of the Arab countries.
 
Al-Alawam pointed out that Israel was aware of Iran's continuous violations of the nuclear deal:
 
"The Israelis explained the danger [of Iran's intentions] before the talks [in Vienna]... When they found that the Americans and Europeans were ignoring their concerns, they decided to expose the falsity of what is happening in Vienna. Iran's nuclear program was never a peaceful one. Those who are negotiating with Iran now care only about their interests."
 
Iran's recent announcement that it has begun enriching uranium to its highest-ever purity (60%), Al-Alawam said, shows that it is moving closer to manufacturing a nuclear bomb, posing a threat to the security of the region and the world.
 
"The Europeans and Americans are closing their eyes to this threat," he added.
 
"They insist that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is sufficient to convert it to the Switzerland of the Middle East, or guaranteeing the democratization of the mullah's regime in Tehran. Because of the Western apathy, the countries of the region do not expect much from the Vienna negotiations, and if they are thinking about their independent options to deal with the Iranian threat to them, this is a legitimate matter and no one has the right to object. All the concessions that the Western powers intend to make to Tehran do not bind anyone in the Middle East, and cannot force Israel or the Arab countries to respect the outcome of the talks in Vienna, especially if these negotiations increase the danger of the Tehran regime to stability and security."
 
Echoing these concerns, former Jordanian Minister of Information and Culture Saleh Al-Kallab said he did not expect Iran to stop meddling in the internal affairs of the Arab countries:
 
"The truth is that there is a political, military, security and economic Iranian occupation of four Arab countries – Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen... It is clear that if the US restores its relations with Tehran, the mullahs will become the main decision-makers in the Middle East. The Arabs will not regain their unity unless the Iranians and their followers are expelled from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen."
 
The talks in Vienna coincided with a campaign by many Lebanese calling for severing diplomatic relations between Iran and Lebanon.
 
Last week, dozens of Lebanese activists staged a protest outside the offices of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry in Beirut during which they demanded that their government expel the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and cut off diplomatic relations with Iran.
 
The protesters shouted slogans calling for ending Iran's occupation of Lebanon and disarming Iran's proxy militia, the Hezbollah terrorist group.
 
This campaign, like the views expressed by several Arab political analysts and columnists, is aimed at sending a message to those who are currently negotiating with Iran that the Arabs trust the mullahs in Tehran about as far as they can throw them.
 
This message, directed mainly at the Biden administration, accuses the West of ignoring Iran's ongoing occupation and terrorism in the Arab countries. Evidently, there is a profound fear among Arabs that a revival of the nuclear deal will add fuel to the mullahs' fire and support their slash-and-burn policies of destabilizing Arab countries and promoting terrorism through their proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthi militias in Yemen.

Going through the news, the headline jumped at me in a startling jolt. Life does indeed imitate art—for certain when it comes to Bible prophecy.
 
“Whole Foods Ushering in Mark of the Beast with New Palm-Scanning Payment System”
 
The headline instantly took my thoughts to my first novel, which I started writing in about 1977 and was initially published much later, in 1999. Jacob’s Trouble 666 is the title, and it’s still available on Amazon.com in reprint.
 
The book was an attempt to portray through fiction what life might be like for the world and particularly for Jewish people during the earlier time in the Tribulation era. Even though the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) is about the last half of the Tribulation, my story covered basically the first half of the seven-year Tribulation period, following the Rapture. I envisioned—or tried to—the technologies as they might develop by the time that cruel moment of horror inflicts Antichrist rule upon the planet.
 
Here is a portion of that story written sometime around 1979, as I recall.
 
An old man shuffled tentatively into the checkout lane, avoiding the gaze of the checker. His broad head was bowed as if he sought to hide beneath the upturned collar of the ragged gray coat he wore. “You got an IN, mister?” Her question cut the air in a tone of disgust.
 
“Yes… Yes… See here.” The man let his eyes meet hers fleetingly while he pulled back the sleeve on his right arm and moved his hand to a position beneath the countertop Decode scanner, activating an ultraviolet light which made visible a bar code tattooed on the back of his hand. At the same time, the number appeared on the INRU screen:

Looking at the screen, the checker pushed a button, and data was added to the display.

“You don’t have any drawing rights, Jew! Take these and put them back where they belong!”
 
The little man shrunk deeper into the oversized coat, although he made a meek protest. “Please— but madam, I…”
 
“Just get these things back on the shelves, Jew!” She shoved the items roughly at him, cursing beneath her breath. Her outburst drew the attention of others in the Product Center and caused the controller to stiffen to alertness from his position near the exit.
 
While all eyes were on the frightened man, he moved from the counter and nervously replaced the foodstuffs on their various shelves. His face taking on the bloodless look of a man terminally ill, his only wish was to be gone from the Product Center.
 
“Are you Jew?” The controller collared him, snarling the question through clenched teeth.
 
“Answer me, old man!”
 
He slammed the smaller man hard against a nearby wall, then pushed his elbow into the captive’s throat. Unable to answer and growing dizzy because of pressure exerted on his windpipe, the man ceased to struggle against his powerful captor, who jerked and ripped at the overcoat, sending buttons flying when the coat tore open.
 
The controller pulled the coat apart, exposing a yellow, thread-stitched Star of David on the gray, tattered shirt.
 
“Why are you hiding this?” the angry policeman demanded, jabbing his finger into the center of the symbol. “You know it’s forbidden to conceal being Jew!”

The news item, then, as I say, jumped out and smacked my realization. We are at a point no doubt even past the technological development stage of the AI and other advancements which I tried to imagine back then. The following news item excerpt maybe will further enlighten.
 
Thanks to its acquisition by Amazon, Whole Foods Market is quickly morphing into the grocery store of the New World Order with a new cashless payment system that allows customers to wave their palm over a scanning machine in order to pay for their food.
 
Instead of having to hand over cash or a credit card, Whole Foods customers can simply wave their hand (and maybe soon their forehead?) through the machine and voila: purchase made.
 
According to an Amazon FAQ, the palm-scanning technology analyzes “the minute characteristics of your palm – both surface-area details like lines and ridges as well as subcutaneous features such as vein patterns” in order to identify a customer and allow for rapid purchase.
 
This biometric scanning tool is branded as a faster, easier alternative to paying with a credit card or cash.
 
The system is officially called Amazon One and it allows for Amazon Prime users to link their accounts and receive discounts and other promotions every time they opt to wave their palm through a kiosk at Whole Foods rather than pay with cash or a credit card… The ultimate goal is to completely phase out paper and coin currency and replace it with a cashless system. Amazon via Whole Foods is paving the way for this by testing out the new system at its Seattle locations. Technology has caught up to and surpassed my imagination, it is obvious. Bible prophecy manifests for all who are willing to believe God’s truth that the Creator of all things knows the end from before the foundation of this now-fallen world. Life doesn’t really imitate art. Bible prophecy presents life in a story filled with truth only the God of Heaven can foretell.
 
The end-times electronic economic system of controlling the masses was written about by the Holy Spirit-inspired pen of John the Revelator on the Isle of Patmos.
 
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Revelation 13:16–18)
 
Let’s pay attention to developments all around us. It is only upon doing this that we can truly anticipate the call we who belong to Christ can expect to hear soon.
 
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17)

Scripture gives many examples of mothers, and in the Book of Ruth we see two women who hold a special place in history: Naomi, whose name means “my delight”, and Ruth, whose name means “friendship”. Both names fit these ladies perfectly. “Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.” Ruth 1:1. Naomi was married to a man named Elimelech, and they had two sons named Mahlon and Chilion. Although they owned property in Bethlehem, there was a drought which forced them to leave in order to find food. They moved to Moab where the famine wasn’t bad. Eventually, Elimelech died and her two sons took care of her, so Naomi’s situation wasn’t desperate. Her sons married Moabite women, who loved Naomi. Chilion married Orpah and Mahlon married Ruth. Sadly, Chilion and Mahlon also died and the three widows drew close together.
 
Naomi was in a troubling position. She had no means of support in Moab, so she needed to return to Bethlehem. Her husband had owned property there, but it would have to be redeemed by a kinsman (Leviticus 25:25). This is where her story gets exciting. Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem, and her two daughters-in-law, both Gentiles, decided to go with her. The younger women must have loved Naomi very much to leave their home to follow her. As they traveled, Naomi was concerned for Orpah and Ruth. It would be quite a change for them to leave their homes and start a new life in the Jewish culture. “And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.” Ruth 1:8. Naomi was loved by her daughters-in-law, but she loved them enough to encourage them to return to the life they knew. Even though they weren’t Jewish and didn’t worship God Almighty, she still asked His blessing upon them. “The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept. And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.” Ruth 1:9-10. Naomi wanted Orpah and Ruth to remarry and raise a family. She wanted the best for them, but the two younger ladies didn’t want to leave their mother-in-law.
 
Naomi encouraged the younger women to return to their own city and culture in order to find husbands. “And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? Are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? Turn again my, daughters, go your way for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; would ye tarry for them till they were grown? Would ye stay for them from having husbands? Nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.” Ruth 1:11-13. The younger women needed husbands and to have children. Naomi knew this, and even if they stayed with Naomi hoping that she would re-marry and give birth to more sons, it would be many years until those sons would be old enough to marry and provide for a family, according to the law of the Leverite marriage (Deuteronomy 25:5-10). Orpah decided to return to her home, but Ruth stayed with Naomi. Naomi was concerned. “And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.” Ruth 1:15. Instead of moving forward and learning to follow the God that Naomi followed, Orpah returned to her own people and to her own pagan gods. She had the chance to go with Naomi and learn of the one true God of all creation, but she chose to turn back. Sadly, she’s like too many people today. They have the opportunity to find salvation through Jesus Christ, but turn back to the gods they can’t let go of. Ruth made the better choice.
 
Ruth wouldn’t be persuaded to return to her old life. She chose to follow Naomi to Bethlehem. She wanted a better life and knew Naomi would lead her to it. “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.” Ruth 1:16-17. What a beautiful love Ruth had for Naomi. This decision would make a major mark on the history of the world. The way Naomi conducted her life was an example to Ruth of a better life by knowing the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. As Christians, we need to represent Christ in such a way that the people around us will want to follow us to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
 
Bethlehem was a small town and people knew each other. Even after many years of absence, they remembered Naomi. Her husband, Elimelech, had a rather notorious family tree. When the Israelites were ready to conquer the Promised Land, their first battle was in Jericho. Rather than immediately attacking this city, they sent spies who accomplished very little other than make a way for the harlot Rahab to escape before the walls of Jericho came tumbling down. This woman went from the life of a harlot in an extremely pagan city, to joining the Israelites and to marry Salmon. “And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab…” Matthew 1:5a. “Booz” and “Rachab” in this Scripture (translated from Greek), and “Boaz” and “Rahab” from the Old Testament, are the same people. This is important to the story of Naomi and Ruth. “And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.” Ruth 2:1. Jewish law provided for a kinsman redeemer (Leviticus 25:25). If a man was in debt or had to sell his property, someone in his family of a close relationship could pay his debt and redeem what had been lost. Naomi’s husband was a close kinsman to Boaz so it was possible for him to redeem what Elimelech had lost.
 
Ruth learned from Naomi the ways of the Jewish community. They needed food and Ruth said she would go to the field and glean what the reapers had left. As it turned out, she went to a field owned by Boaz. This was not a coincidence, but it was God’s hand leading her. While she was gleaning the grain, she caught Boaz’s eye and he asked his foreman about her. Boaz learned she was the Moabitess who had returned to Bethlehem with Naomi. Boaz was a kindhearted man. He knew Naomi’s plight and admired how hard Ruth worked to put food on their table. He also might have been struck by her beauty. Boaz told Ruth to only glean in his fields, that he had warned the young men to leave her alone, and that she had special privileges to get water to drink. Ruth was very thankful and humble for Boaz’s kindness and asked why he was so nice to her. “And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.” Ruth 2:11-12. Ruth worked hard and Boaz was a good man who appreciated her. His kindness was extended even further. He invited her to eat with his workers, and also told his men to let her glean among the sheaves and let handfuls of the grain fall so she could get plenty. Welfare was not an option in Israel. Ruth worked hard for the grain, and Boaz made sure she got plenty.
 
Naomi was very happy when she found out all Boaz had done. She knew Boaz could redeem her husband’s property and that his interest in Ruth could result in marriage. Naomi was about to help the Gentile Ruth find a husband…a kinsman redeemer. Naomi didn’t encourage any improper behavior from Ruth, but helped her to show Boaz that she was willing to be his bride. Boaz was not only willing to marry Ruth, but to also redeem the property. “And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.” Ruth 3:12. One of the requirements of a kinsman redeemer is that he must be willing. Boaz was willing, but there was one who was a closer relation and would be able to act if he was willing. As it turned out, the nearer kinsman was willing to redeem the property, but wasn’t willing to marry Ruth. “And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: year are witnesses this day.” Ruth 4:9-10. Ruth had made the right choice to follow Naomi rather than return to the pagan life in Moab. We aren’t told about Orpah’s life, but had she followed Naomi to Bethlehem she would have been better off. She would have come to know the God of all creation and could have gotten a share of her husband’s property.
 
Boaz and Ruth did have children. “…and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; and Jesse begat David the king…” Matthew 1:5b-6a. Ruth was the great-grandmother of King David, and listed in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. What an honor. But, there’s more. The events recorded give us a beautiful picture of Jesus. God first chose Israel, pictured by Naomi. It was through Naomi that Ruth, representing the Gentiles, met the kinsman redeemer, pictured by Boaz, who redeemed what Naomi had lost. Jesus is the ultimate Kinsman Redeemer. He was human because His mother was human and Mary’s ancestry was directly from King David, though not through the royal line. This qualified Him as our Kinsman. His adopted father, Joseph, also had ancestry through King David, but his line followed the royal line through Solomon. This qualifies Jesus to sit on the Throne of David. Since Jesus had no earthly father (He was conceived by the Holy Spirit) His blood wasn’t tainted by the sin that cripples and condemns humans. This allows Him to Redeem us from sin. When we accept Christ’s sacrifice for salvation, we are redeemed, born again, and have a new life in Christ.
 
Naomi and Ruth are both mothers who honored God and found His blessings multiplied through their obedience. Mothers today need to follow their example and be Godly influences on their children. Even though we live in a fallen world in which Satan’s lies and evil intentions are all around, mothers need to lead by example. Jesus Christ is greater than all evil and He shed His blood for our redemption. Honor His sacrifice and live for Him daily.

Every American President since Harry Truman has signed a proclamation for a National Day of Prayer–A day set aside for prayer and fasting for our nation. James 5:16 states: “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Fervent prayer of a righteous man. And who is righteous? Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” And Romans 5:8 explains further, “But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” It is by Christ and his righteousness that we can take on the garment of righteousness. While, there may be many flaws in many a person, Christs brings his own before the throne of God.
 
If there ever were a time where our nation needs prayer and fasting it is today. This Day. And not only this day, but beyond. As is written in 2 Timothy 3:1-7, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
 
Does this not describe our society? A sad state of affairs. Ironic that some of the very leaders that support the National Day of Prayer are among those described in the verses above. Their daily lives are dedicated to the killing of the unborn, slandering and lying about those who disagree with their horrible and silly concepts of life—lives without God. Their hate is immeasurable for the things of God, even to deny His creation. Yet, they can piously partake in proclaiming this Day and use it for self-promotion in hopes of showing all that they truly are “good” people deserving of a vote. To those, they surely will have their reward. To us of the Way, let us not be deterred. Let us lift up our voices in mighty and sincere praise of the Lord.
 
Let us pray for His will to be done here on earth and in our nation, as it is in heaven. Let us thank Him for His daily provision and pray that we do not return sin for sin. Let us pray for mercy on our nation. Though we are deserving of much wrath, may His mercy and lovingkindness deliver us. Let us pray for healing among our countrymen; that tongues of division and speaking evil will be exchanged for loving one another as Christ so loved us. Yes, many will say, “we are too far gone.” But remember the parable of the mustard seed and Christ’s words in Mark 10:27, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” As a nation, He is our hope and salvation.

Sometimes we put our eyes on a man or a woman, expecting them to be everything for us. We expect them to never make a mistake. We expect them to have all the answers, and they don’t.
 
The prophet Isaiah wrote about King Uzziah, who ascended to the throne at age 16. Ultimately, he ruled for 52 years. And according to Scripture, he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and his people loved him. But King Uzziah made mistakes.
 
Interestingly, Isaiah made a statement about Uzziah’s death that we often can overlook: “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple” (Isaiah 6:1 NKJV).
 
In other words, “This man was removed, and now I see the Lord.”
 
Instead of looking to people, look to Jesus Christ. He is the only one who will never fail you. He is the only one who will sustain you. And He is the one you will meet one day if you put your faith in Him.
 
John the Baptist said of Jesus, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30 NKJV).
 
Maybe today you’re feeling anxious and worried and afraid. The Bible tells us, “[Cast] all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV). The original word Peter used for “cast” isn’t a word we’d normally use for throwing something. Rather, it signifies an act in which we stop worrying about something and let God assume the responsibility for our welfare.
 
So take the thing that burdens and concerns you and throw it onto the Lord. Protect your mind, and do everything you can to stay close to Jesus Christ.
 
People will let us down at times, but Jesus Christ never will. So we need to put our eyes on the Lord.
