In his Prophecy Update on Jan. 16, 2022, Pastor Tom Hughes said, “All the bad news points to the coming good news.” The constant bombardment of prophecy-related bad news signifies that the Rapture, Tribulation Period, Second Coming, and Millennial Kingdom of God are coming, and in fact, getting close. Concerning Jesus, the prophet Isaiah said, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this” (Isa. 9:6-7).
Shortly before this child-King was born, the angel Gabriel appeared unto a virgin named Mary and said, “Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end” (Luke 1:30-33).
Jesus told us to pray for God’s Kingdom to come and God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
When we take Communion, Paul said we show the Lord’s death (His first coming as the Christ) till He comes (His Second Coming as the King of kings and Lord of lords). The Book of Revelation was given by Jesus, and it says He is coming back as King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:16).
Jesus called the Jews hypocrites for watching the weather and ignoring the signs of His first coming (Matt. 16:3).
Peter said, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed” (II Pet. 1:19).
Paul said, “There is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing” (II Tim. 4:8).
It is important to understand the sequence of events.
Signs (globalism, a global pandemic, vaccine mandates and passports, economic crisis, etc.) that the Tribulation Period is near indicate that the Rapture is more near, and the Kingdom on earth is drawing near too. Here is some recent bad news that points to the coming good news. One, concerning deceit: on Jan. 19, 2022, it was reported that Project Veritas used a Freedom of Information request to get Dept. of Defense military documents that verify that Dr. Anthony Fauci lied under oath to Congress when he denied funding gain-of-function research on the Covid virus in Wuhan, China. This man has lied about several things and is not a reliable source of information about the safety of the vaccines, the use of masks, the effectiveness of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, or anything else. Two, concerning wars and rumors of wars: Biden is threatening Russia with very tough sanctions over growing concern that a Russian invasion of Ukraine is imminent. Part of the problem is that Trump put tough sanctions on Iran because of its terrorism and nuclear weapons program, but Biden isn’t enforcing them. Under Biden’s non-enforcement sanction policies, Iran has grown richer, stronger, increased its support for terrorism, and is on the verge of getting nuclear weapons, so Putin is not intimidated by Biden’s threat of tough sanctions on Russia. Unenforced tough sanctions are useless. Notice that Biden has:
This is fact, not politics: Biden appears to be appeasing all of America’s enemies and making war on America’s citizens. The goal appears to be the decline of America and the establishment of the coming godless UN world government. (FYI: On Jan. 24, 2022, Leo Hohmann expressed his opinion that war is coming, but it is a matter of timing and more likely to happen closer to the upcoming U.S. elections. Hohmann believes the globalists are desperate to hang on to power, and they will do anything to advance their globalist agenda. The idea that some people would get America into a war to win an election is disgusting, but it may be right.) Three, on Jan. 24, 2022, it was reported that Russian and Syrian military jets have started joint air patrols over the Golan Heights along Syria’s border with Israel. Officials are wondering why, but this is where the Battle of Gog and Magog will take place. Four, concerning perilous times: on Jan. 20, 2022, representatives of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) said the hands on the Doomsday Clock will remain at 100 seconds to midnight, the closest they have ever been to a civilization-ending apocalypse. In years past, the hands moved forward one minute or a few minutes at a time. Today, the hands are stuck, or they move forward one second or a few seconds at a time. Five, concerning tracking all buying and selling: on Jan. 20, 2022, the U.S. Federal Reserve released a report saying they are weighing the idea of issuing a digital currency, and they are giving citizens, politicians, and stakeholders 120 days to comment. As this writer understands it, if implemented, at first, the U.S. may have 2 kinds of currency (what we are using now plus a new digital currency), but this appears to be a major step toward a system that can track all sales. Six, in Old Testament times when the Jews were wandering in the wilderness, those that carried the tabernacle set it up, took it down, and served there had to be descendants of Aaron, and they had to be cleansed with water of purification made with the ashes of a red heifer without spot and blemish (Num. 19). When the next Jewish Temple is built those, who build it and serve there will have to be descendants of Aaron, and they will have to be cleansed with the water of purification made with the ashes of a red heifer without spot and blemish. But the Romans destroyed the herd of red heifers when they destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. This writer has seen reports that the Jews have sacrificed an unblemished red heifer but cannot confirm them. Anyway, on Jan. 21, 2022, William Koenig, watch.org, reported that he visited a Texas ranch on Dec. 20, 2021, that had 18 young red calves that are potential candidates for sacrifice (Jewish priests were present and inspecting the calves). Only 1 red heifer is needed that is at least 2 years and 1 day old and that does not have more than 2 hairs that are not red. Seven, Concerning the return of Jews to the Promised Land at the end of the age: on Jan 24, 2022, it was reported that there are about 75,000 Jews in Ukraine that are eligible for immigration to Israel. Israeli officials met on Jan. 23, 2022, to discuss ways to help those that want to relocate to Israel to do so. Eight, concerning transhumanism (merging humans with machines), on Jan. 22, 2022, it was reported that Elon Musk is moving closer to implanting computer chips into the brain of humans (he has said he thinks he can start implanting chips that will connect humans to computers sometime in 2022). Musk has started recruiting professionals to run clinical trials on patients, gather data for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and seek FDA approval to go forward. Nine, concerning the globalists taking over every nation’s school system so they can brainwash the students: on Jan. 22, 2022, it was reported that a Denver, Col. school district will host the “Black Lives Matter (BLM) at School Week of Action” from Jan. 31 to Feb. 4 to instruct children in kindergarten and the first grade to be “transgender and queer affirming,” to eliminate “heteronormative thinking,” and to teach them “globalism.” Christians, regardless of race, corporate sponsors, and others, should be aware of the involvement of BLM in teaching globalist anti-Biblical values, and should recognize the need for parents to regain control of their school systems. Ten, concerning the supply-chain crisis and famine: on Jan. 22, 2022, it was reported that the Biden administration will no longer allow truckers from Mexico and Canada to enter the U.S. without a vaccine passport (but they are allowing terrorists, human traffickers, and drug dealers in without a vaccine passport). U.S. truckers are also prohibited from entering Canada, but Canadian truckers can enter if they can prove that they have had a negative PCR test within 72 hours. Trucking groups are warning that many truckers will refuse to be vaccinated, will resign or be fired, and famine and the supply-chain crisis will worsen. (More: On Jan 24, 2022, it was reported that some (not all) grocery suppliers are saying food shortages are showing up, and the shortages may increase. In the past week, about 10 million U.S. citizens had Covid. These people and some family members have been quarantined. If millions of people continue to miss work, production and supply problems will worsen.) He replied that the price of fertilizer has tripled, and he knows a few farmers that don’t intend to plant a crop this year because they cannot afford the high prices. Some farmers bought their fertilizer early, and they will be okay this year. Some can afford the higher prices for a year or two. But if many farmers stop planting a crop because they can’t afford the high prices or get the fertilizer, the world is witnessing a catastrophe in the making. In recent months, all forms of traditional energy have become significantly more expensive, and this is fueling price increases all over the planet. This new global energy crisis is directly responsible for the astounding rise in fertilizer prices, it has resulted in a tremendous amount of pain at the pump for millions of average Americans, and since virtually everything that we buy has to be transported it is a major contributing factor to the “inflation boom” that we are currently witnessing. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. I was recently contacted by a geologist that worked in the oil industry for more than a decade. He patiently explained to me why things aren’t going to be getting any better. I asked him if I could share some of what he sent to me with all of you, and he agreed. After reading this, I think that you will agree that it is quite a sobering assessment of the current state of affairs… I am a geologist who has worked in the oil industry for over ten years. I was just coming out of school in time for the shale revolution and worked in Denver on the Bakken play in North Dakota, and then I worked the Permian out of Midland. These were the two major shale plays, so I have firsthand knowledge. I now teach environmental science for high-schoolers in Amman, Jordan. Anyway, back in 2015 I was starting to see reports coming out from analysts that the shale industry would run out of new places to drill shale oil wells in the Permian in 2021. These reports weren’t telling me anything new, just giving me a likely date. You see, shale drilling is drilling in poor rock quality. Prior to shale, we didn’t have to frac wells because the rock quality was great, but we drilled all that good rock up. So, it is really scraping the bottom of the barrel now and way back then, there was a recognition that it wouldn’t last forever. Oil is a limited resource. For a time, it was barely economic to drill shale wells because the margins of drilling in such poor rock was slightly better than what you could make on interest due to quantitative easing policy. Most of the shale companies however, were simply Ponzi schemes and the shale industry lost billions as a whole. But the result of this loss of capital was record production. Needless to say, Wall Street figured it out eventually that they were not making money and so the industry has been capital starved. That is one problem, the other is that there really aren’t many more drilling locations. All the good places have been drilled up which is why you don’t see a rush of shale companies returning to drilling even though oil prices are rising fast. This lack of investment will continue to push oil prices higher. So much of America’s oil production now comes from shale wells. The problem with shale wells is that the oil production declines much faster than wells drilled in what we call “conventional” rock. Conventional oil production has been on the decline for a long time and shale as helped make up for production. The problem is, that now that drilling new wells slows, the rate of decline in oil production will be much steeper. Around the world, many countries that have not invested in shale (because it is sub-economic) have had their conventional resources continue to decline. Venezuela was a major oil exporter, so were Columbia and Mexico. Expect Saudi Arabia to not be far behind. They have been lying for years about just how much oil they really have left. As you keep pointing out, add wars or natural disasters to this and we are in really big trouble. Oil is the number one resource upon which the entire global economy is built. High oil prices lead directly to bread riots and collapse of governments (think the Arab Spring). Politicians need cheap oil but we won’t be seeing it again. Some people in the industry keep thinking new technology will save us and help us develop new oil plays. They couldn’t be more wrong. The technology for frac’ing was first developed in the 60’s. I can tell you that there is no new technology being developed right now in the oil industry that will save us. Physics and geology are against us on this one, even if we could develop some technology. Wind & solar won’t save us either, it would require a larger investment of materials and energy than we have. There is no way we are getting out of this. What this means is that you are going to be paying much more to heat your homes. And it means that you are also going to be paying much more to fill up your vehicle at the gas station. Needless to say, you will be paying a lot more for food too. In fact, food prices are already starting to go bananas. Last week, Kraft Heinz announced that it will soon be raising prices on many of their most popular products by as much as 30 percent… Kraft Heinz (KHC) said in a recent letter to its customers that it will raise prices in March on dozens of products, including Oscar Mayer cold cuts, hot dogs, sausages, bacon, Velveeta cheese, Maxwell House coffee, TGIF frozen chicken wings, Kool-Aid and Capri Sun drinks. The increases range from 6.6% on 12oz Velveeta Fresh Packs to 30% on a three-pack of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon. Most cold cuts and beef hot dogs will go up around 10% and coffee around 5%. Some Kool-Aid and Capri Sun drink packs will increase by about 20%. Of course Kraft Heinz is definitely not alone. As our colleagues over at Zero Hedge have aptly pointed out, other major food companies will soon be jacking up prices as well… Kraft Heinz is just the latest consumer manufacturer to announce plans to boost prices early in the year. Last week, P&G said that it would raise prices on Tide and Gain laundry detergents, Downy fabric softener and Bounce dryer sheets by an average of about 8% in February. Conagra, which makes such brands as Slim Jim, Marie Callender’s and Birds Eye, has said it plans to raise prices later this year. For a long time, I have been specifically warning that food prices would go completely nuts, and now it is starting to happen right in front of our eyes. And according to a new Gallup survey that was just released, a whopping 79 percent of all Americans expect even more inflation in the months ahead… Gallup highlighted that the 79% surveyed in their Jan. 3-16 poll, who said they expected inflation to rise, was the highest they’ve measured in the two decades they’ve been asking the question. “In the past, Americans have always been more likely to say inflation will increase rather than decrease, but the current expectation is higher than usual — in fact, it is the highest Gallup has measured in its trend,” the polling organization wrote in its release. The “experts” at the Federal Reserve thought that they could absolutely flood our financial system with money without any severe consequences. Similarly, our politicians in Washington thought that they could borrow and spend trillions upon trillions of dollars without wrecking our currency. They were both wrong, and now the American people are going to be absolutely shocked by the level of economic pain that we will soon be enduring. Olympic gold medalist and swimming champion, Michael Phelps weighed in saying everyone should have an equal playing field. Another Olympian, Caitlyn Jenner also commented on the dilemma saying biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports. Most of us would agree. But what is concerning is the reaction to a remnant of Christian pastors including John MacArthur who recently preached on biblical sexuality which YouTube labeled “hate speech.” Some of us have been warning for years this would come to America. We’ll address ‘Lia’ Thomas and the swimming controversy in a minute. Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, CA, is one of a number of pastors who recently preached about biblical sexuality, part of an effort in North America to protest a new Canadian law that took effect January 8 after being pushed through Parliament with little debate. Canada’s Bill (C-4) is broadly worded and would likely make certain Scriptures illegal and in effect, ban biblical teachings on sexual ethics. About 4,000 church leaders spoke out recently, protesting the law from church pulpits, affirming their stance on God’s Word. Liberty Coalition Canada warns that wording of the bill is broad enough to allow for “the criminal prosecution of Christians who would speak biblical truth into the lives of those in bondage to sexual sins like homosexuality and transgenderism.” Since YouTube backs the Canadian law affirming the Bible is hate speech, let’s look at some of what pastor John MacArthur said in the sermon: “There is no such thing as transgender. You are either XX or XY, that’s it. God made man male and female (Genesis 1:27). That is determined genetically, that is physiology, that is science, that is reality.” “On the one hand, the reality of that (transgender) lie and deception is so damaging, so destructive, so isolating, so corrupting that it needs to be confronted; YouTube reportedly reviewed the sermon and said it violates their “hate speech policy.” Thomas More Society special counsel, Jenna Ellis represented MacArthur when Los Angeles County tried to shut down Grace Church for defying pandemic-induced health orders. She rebuked the big tech giant for censoring MacArthur’s sermon. I absolutely love this quote! “The big tech oligarchy in the United States is implementing the equivalent of Canada’s insane law by censoring truth and the right of pastors to teach the Bible,” Ellis told the conservative commentator. “If Americans don’t stop big tech, this new Regime will circumvent the Constitution to foreclose our fundamental rights to speak and exercise religion – and the impact will be devastating.” Devastating is right. You think it’s dark and depraved in our moral relativistic society now, just wait. We’ve been relatively spoiled and free from religious persecution in North America. Not anymore. And please understand this will impact private conversations. It’s not just pastors and religious leaders who will face consequences of speaking biblical truth, individual citizens are already being bullied into silence, suppressed, censored, and severely limited if not deleted on many platforms. We need to pay more attention to attacks on Christians and intolerance of the biblical worldview in other countries. Regarding moral decay, history has often shown the U.S. is not too far behind other declining nations. In Finland, for example, Päivi Räsänen (Pivey Rausenen), a Christian member of Parliament in Finland is currently on trial. She has been fighting for freedom of speech and religion in court because she posted a Bible passage from Romans 1 on social media which condemns homosexuality. She was charged with three counts of hate speech. But the transgender locomotive is steamrolling through our own culture and through every major institution in America including the hyper-secular university system. University of Pennsylvania swimmer, Lia Thomas actually competed with the men’s team for three years. But last year joined the women’s team and has dominated all female competition. Just last weekend, Thomas obliterated swimming records previously held by female athletes, chalking up two more victories at a meet against Harvard. If we’re concerned about truth and clarity, it’s important to breakdown some recent comments by Olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce. He said biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports. Most of us would agree, but we’re at the point this will likely be censored for referring to Jenner as “he.” Listen closely to what else he said and pay attention to the wording. He criticized “this woke culture were living in right now” and said it is not working. Again, agreed. But he hypocritically reverts back to the delusion when commenting on the unfair advantage men have when competing against women in sports. Jenner continued referring to Thomas as “she” and “her” – which is part of the woke culture he has contributed to! “I don’t know why she’s doing it; “She knows when she’s swimming, she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger, her respiratory system is bigger, her hands are bigger, she can swim faster.” See the problem here? And if you state the obvious, the biblical truth, the scientific, physiological and biological reality, you will be penalized the left’s bully pulpit and one party big-tech media conglomerate. Naturally, Democrats, globalists, and others who are hostile toward the truth of Christ are all in. Think I’m exaggerating? In the Nancy Pelosi-controlled U.S. House of Representatives, the so-called Equality Act I’ve warned about for years has already passed. Elections have consequences, and if this piece of radical legislation passes in the Senate, truth proclaimers and Bible-believing Christians will face persecution here that most of us didn’t think would happen in our lifetimes. Don’t think the left won’t gleefully criminalize followers of an entire worldview to advance its godless agenda. Pastor John MacArthur also stated: “This notion that you are something other than your biology is a cultural construct intended as an assault on God. The only way you can address it honestly, is to say, ‘God made you and God made you exactly the way He wanted you to be.” This is a war on God. Those professing another identity or gender are not only fighting God and His physical creation, but they’re fighting His sovereignty. Those who subscribe to these worldly philosophies (Col. 2:8) have created a god of their own liking. We must fear God wholeheartedly and declare, ‘as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! (Joshua 24:15) Thankfully, more and more people are waking up, but time is short and I pray it’s not too late. Almost unfathomable levels of firepower are being mobilized. Jesus warned that the last days would be characterized by rumors of war. The rumor of war in Ukraine is superpowered by Russia’s repeated threat of using nuclear weapons. But Ukraine and several other former Soviet bloc nations fit Bible prophecy in another powerful way. One of the most famous and detailed prophecies in the Bible concerns an invasion of Israel by a confederation of nations. Chapters 38 and 39 of Ezekiel give the details, including a specific list of the nations involved. The first two verses say, “And the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him.’” [NASB] It’s obvious from that passage and others that Gog is not a nation, but a national leader. The word “Gog” means “high,” “top guy,” or “supreme.” The first century Jewish historian, Josephus, wrote that, “Magog is called the Scythians by the Greeks.” The Greeks used the word “Scythia” to refer to the region north and east of the Black Sea. Today, that includes, not just Russia, but also Ukraine. The Scythians also ruled the area east of the Caspian Sea that is today occupied by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan. Each of these nations were once part of the Soviet Union. Vladimir Putin seems intent on bringing them back into the sphere of Russian control. Also, each of these nations is predominantly Muslim, which may also contribute to their desire to one day join a coalition of nations against Israel. But the first step in Putin’s plan centers on Ukraine. In area, it is Europe’s second largest nation. It gained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. At that time, Ukraine possessed one-third of the Soviets’ nuclear armaments. With 1,900 warheads, Ukraine then held the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world. In 1994, Russia, Britain, and the United States signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances. They promised to ensure Ukraine’s security if it gave up its large nuclear arsenal. The sad and horrible lesson to every other nation in the world is that if you have nukes, don’t give them up ever — no matter what. Today, if Ukraine still had its nuclear weapons, Russia would not be threatening. It’s as simple as that. Promises from Britain and the United States were not worth the paper they were printed on. The other protector of Ukrainian security was to be that benevolent nation known as Russia. Now, it all seems like a cruel joke. In 2014, Russia stole Crimea from Ukraine. That gave the Russian military better access to the Black Sea. Today, Russia’s goal in invading Ukraine does not seem to be an annexation of the country, but a move to place a puppet government there. In all this, remember that no matter what their nations do, people can still turn to Christ. Iran is another key part of that Ezekiel 38 coalition. And Iran is experiencing a tremendous number of people turning to Jesus. Prophecy tells us what some nations will do, but that does not predetermine the actions of individuals within those nations. Whatever Putin’s motivations (and there are many), one really important fact stands out. His actions fit Bible prophecy to a tee. At some point in the future, Ukraine will again come under Russian control. And it may be only a matter of days. The report’s data indicates far greater long-term risks than was ever made public. Pfizer reported, “Pfizer’s safety database contains cases of AEs (Adverse Events) reported spontaneously to Pfizer, cases reported by the health authorities, cases published in the medical literature, cases from Pfizer-sponsored marketing programs, non-interventional studies, and cases of serious AEs reported from clinical studies regardless of causality assessment.” Reported side effects on pregnant women, heart conditions, blood clots, anaphylactic shock, and lack of efficacy were withheld from the public as the government propagandized that the vaccine was “safe and effective.” In fact, the Appendix of the report listed 9 pages–472 lines and 2072 words–of “Adverse Events of Special Interest.” Some of the results: “Pregnancy outcomes for the 270 pregnancies were reported as spontaneous abortion (23), outcome pending (5), premature birth with neonatal death, spontaneous abortion with intrauterine death (2 each), spontaneous abortion with neonatal death, and normal outcome (1 each).” These represented 11.8% of the pregnancy outcomes in the database. Pfizer concluded: “There were no safety signals that emerged from the review of these cases of use in pregnancy and while breast feeding.” All along, CDC maintains on its website “COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future.” Other results included: Anaphylaxis in 54% of the relevant cases retrieved, four causing death, and Pfizer concluded that the data “did not reveal any significant new safety information.” Lack of efficacy was found in 3.9% of the cases. In the footnotes, Pfizer states that an additional 623 lack of efficacy cases were removed from the database analysis, the majority of them because they “developed SARS-CO-V-2 during the early days from the first dose.” In other words, the vaccine didn’t work, so they fudged the data. Some 3.3% of the total database developed cardiovascular adverse reactions, and “136 (9.69%) were fatal.” Again, Pfizer concluded: “This cumulative case review does not raise new safety issues.” No wonder FDA wants 75 years to release this data. The side effects of these vaccines can be devastating. Safe and effective, as the CDC adamantly claims, is not true. Here’s the essence of what Satan was saying to Jesus: put the physical before the spiritual. We face this temptation all the time. The Devil will come to us and whisper, “Hey, you need to have a little fun. You know you can play now and pay later. Don’t worry about the repercussions. God’s okay with this. You’ll be okay. You can trust me.” Yet the Bible tells us that the Devil is a liar and the father of lies (see John 8:44). Sometimes people get their lives out of whack by putting physical things before spiritual things. They become obsessed, and they let things become more important to them than God. It’s great to have a relationship, but don’t put a relationship above God. And it’s fine to have a career, but don’t put your career above God. So by saying, “People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God,” Jesus was simply pointing out that we should have our spiritual priorities in order. He was saying that we need to put God first. So put God in His rightful place in your life. And when the Devil comes to you with a temptation, quote the Word of God.
