Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Luke 12:35-40 I was listening to one of my favorite podcasters the other day, and he made the comment (paraphrasing him here) about the need to "temporarily unplug" from tracking all of the prophetic events. To him, things were happening so fast, with such intensity that it was extremely wearisome. I would agree, especially considering the storm brewing on the horizon. I myself have had to unplug from time to time, or else I would have had a mental breakdown years ago. Being a watchman is not for the faint of heart, because keeping a perpetual state of mental and spiritual readiness is difficult to do. In fact, both watching and waiting on the Lord has become a rather soul-grinding business as of late given the frequency and intensity of prophetic events flooding our world. But why has it become such a “soul-grinding” business? I mean, even non-believers watch the news and occasionally feel the need to unplug because it just becomes too much. The unbeliever’s frustration is in seeing a world falling apart, and having no real answers for why things are happening the way they are, nor any real solutions. For the serious and discerning student of Bible prophecy, however, the problem is the exact opposite. It’s the weight of knowing both the answers and the solutions because we take God’s Word seriously. The truth is this world is soon coming to an end, and the return of the King is imminent. Now, this is great news for the believer…but terrible and horrifying news for those who are not in Christ. Thus, the weight then becomes like a terrifying secret that we’ve burdened ourselves with carrying…only, it’s not a secret. It’s there for all to see, but most choose to not have eyes to see, nor ears to hear. Perhaps the reason why the axiom “ignorance is bliss” is so true, is because it is…for a season. Assessment Consider these poignant thoughts by David Jeremiah regarding the schemes of the devil and how they work to disrupt and destroy our faith. If you could sneak into Satan’s office, wherever that might be (he’s not in hell yet), and take a peek into his files, you might be surprised to find a file folder with your name on it. I’m not exaggerating. He keeps a file on you, and inside that file are all the strategies he’s tried on you—the ones that have worked and the ones that have failed. He doesn’t waste his time with the ones that don’t work anymore. Instead, he uses variations on the strategies that have caused you to stumble in the past. As long as they keep working, he keeps using them. Somewhere in that file cabinet there’s a file labeled: Jeremiah, David. In this file, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if there was a notation that reads something like this: Subject may be prone to discouragement, especially if he becomes overly weary. This has worked several times before and seems a promising method of attack. Suggestion: Make sure he stays very busy, overcommitted, and physically tired. At all costs, keep him from extended times of Bible reading and prayer. So what is Satan’s strategy for me? He looks for ways to discourage me, and if possible, cause me some depression. He will use whatever people, means, or circumstances it takes to achieve his goal. It’s the same for you. Maybe your file says, “Frequently tempted to gossip,” or “quick temper,” or “prone to coveting and jealousy,” or “weak in the area of lust.” Don’t kid yourself, he knows very well where your vulnerabilities lie. It’s all in his file. You’ve heard, perhaps, that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. That’s very good news, but it is also true that Satan hates you and has a plan and strategy to destroy your walk with Jesus Christ. That’s one big reason why you experience struggle and discouragement in your Christian experience. Sometimes I hear people say, “Well, if you’re a Christian, you shouldn’t have any struggles. You shouldn’t ever feel discouraged. All is peace and joy and love and happiness.” I don’t think so. I personally think that description fits better with life before you found salvation in Christ. Do you know why? Because you only had one influence in your life at that time. There was no contest for your heart. There was no tug-of-war for your soul. (Jeremiah, D. . Multnomah Publishers) The two most dangerous threats to Satan and his kingdom, are the Holy Spirit-filled, soul-winning believer, and those who are serious and discerning students of Bible prophecy. More often than not, these two are one and the same, as they go hand in hand. Nevertheless, the enemy is not ignorant of our efforts and has created a “dual-edged” attack to offset and nullify our calling. These attacks come in the form of a “dual-edged” threat that continually threatens to wreck our faith and our work for the Lord. First and foremost, is in exhausting the believer through spiritual “attrition.” In ancient times, when the Romans wanted to sack a well-armed city, they wouldn’t attack it, they would encircle it. They would then allow no food, water, or any other goods or services to pass through. Eventually, the city would run out of resources, and the citizens would either starve to death, resort to the basest of human behaviors (such as cannibalism) before ultimately collapsing. Then the Romans would attack. Satan does this by putting a hedge around you (the believer) not to protect you, but to thwart you at every turn. He wants to exhaust you into quitting and giving up, by working in the lives of the unsaved to continually tell you no, or their not interested. He wants our pleading to fall upon deaf ears and blinded eyes, so we eventually stop pleading. To combat this, we must never forget how terrifying this world is about to come, and even more so, how horrifying the next life is apart from God. The second danger is in the theological ruts we dig ourselves into, by continually looking at things from one perspective. Now, I’m not saying we need to open our minds and look at everything from preterism to Hinduism because we already know those systems to be doctrines of demons. There is much biblical precedence to ‘contend for the faith.’ What I am saying, is there is still enough variance within the confines of the Biblical, Premillennial, Pre-Tribulation position, that we shouldn’t be so wedded to one view that anytime anyone disagrees with our placing of the Gog-Magog War, the Gap, Psalm 83, etc.… we immediately draw pistols and start shooting holes in each other over it. First and foremost, Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. It’s often being fulfilled in ways we hadn’t anticipated. For instance, we know according to Revelation 13:16-18 that a “mark of the beast” system will one day be enforced inside the 70th Week of Daniel upon pain of death. This is perhaps one of the most well-known prophecies in the Bible that even non-believers are familiar with. However, no prophecy teacher or expert that I either know or have heard of anticipated a worldwide pandemic happening in 2020, thus speeding up the global digitalization efforts by some six years. Nor could they have anticipated early on in this pandemic, the demand by governments to mandate an mRNA (DNA altering) vaccine, or now, attempting to mandate an implantable medical chip be put into every citizen. You see, we would all agree that a mark of the beast system has to happen, because the Bible says it does. But how we get to there from where we are today, is still a mystery that is continually unfolding. I don’t have it all figured out, and neither does anyone else. We can read the outline in the Bible, but the details are still being fleshed out so to speak. There is no sense in coming to fisticuffs every time a news story breaks and we think we have it all figured out. Trust me, Satan loves nothing better than when well-intentioned Christians voluntarily draw up their own circular firing squad and starts shooting blindly at each other. Aside from the schemes of the devil in his efforts to derail the believer, there are some internal cautions with our prophetic burden (if I can put it that way). In contrast to the weight of the burden of knowing and warning of those things to come, are the callouses we develop in handling this prophetic knowledge. We have all the verses bookmarked, the order of events committed to memory, and our talking points so well-rehearsed that we sometimes lose sight of just how horrific things will actually become. Put another way, even for those of us who teach and expound upon Bible prophecy so many times that the sheer horror of what’s to come for those left behind, sometimes gets lost in the repeated telling. In the seal judgment alone, around two billion people will lose their lives in a few short years as a consequence of the Four Horsemen (Seal Judgments 1-4). That number is simply too large for us to really wrap our minds around in our present age, given the fact that around 150 million people have died over the last five thousand years due to war. That’s 150 million people over the course of five thousand years, versus, two billion people over the course of just a few years. The sheer amount of death and destruction that is coming after the Rapture is so unimaginable, it will make World War II and Holocaust look like an afternoon picnic. Conclusion Being serious and discerning students of Bible prophecy is not like some whimsical hobby we can put away anytime we tire of it. It is both a gift and a burden God has given us to be His spokesmen in these last days. Granted, we are not running around saying “thus sayeth the Lord” and then declaring Obama the antichrist or anything. We are sticking to scripture and only stating certainly, what God has given us in His Word. Everything else is just conjecture and we must be cautious to never confuse conjecture with dogma. What’s been the biggest source of frustration for most of us living at such a time as this, is not the pandemic, progressive liberals, or even despotic tyrants (these are to be expected), it’s the apathy amongst other believers. The apathy amongst the church is fueled by the silence in the pulpits. Here we are, living in the most prophetically-charged times since Christ first coming, and the church is sound asleep. This is doubly troublesome when a growing number of pastors are abdicating their duties as shepherds over their flocks, choosing rather to side with the media (mainstream propaganda) or just remain apolitical altogether for fear of diminishing tithes and offerings. I suppose, if everyone watched already, there wouldn't be a need for a watchman. Everyone would observe the world with a heightened sense of awareness and constantly keep their guard up. Had that been the case, much of the wicked machinations we've seen playing out in recent decades would have never progressed beyond the theoretical stage. However, because people are continually defaulting back to varying states of normalcy bias, the need for someone to stand vigilant remains a constant necessity. Besides, it's easier to turn away or turn a blind eye to some new evil in the world. It's easier not to do something than it is to challenge it. It's easier to focus on your own life than on the lives of those around you. Because getting involved is hard work. Getting involved costs you time, money, and even your livelihood. Getting involved is exhausting, soul-wrenching work because evil doesn't take it lying down. Evil fights back, and evil doesn't fight fair. Take for example how the Democrats and progressives operate in our society. If they want to push a bill to legalize, for example, pedophilia, and it gets shot down, they don't just throw up their hands and say...oh well, we gave it our best shot. No, they plot and scheme and figure out a dozen new ways to get the bill passed (or something like it) regardless of whether it's legal, ethical, or constitutional. They work like the servants of Satan himself, as if he has the whip to their back...because he does. Evil never takes a day off. Evil works 24/7, 365 days a year to destroy all that is good. The reason why he (Satan) is so relentless, is because he knows what awaits him, and they will do ANYTHING to prevent that from happening. They know how awful hell and the lake of fire truly are, and they don't want to go there. That is why evil never quits...they know how serious this business is. Were Christians that driven. Were we so driven to warn our friends and family about such a place as hell? Let me leave you with this. Now, a warning for those who are squeamish about what hell might be like, be forewarned that I’m not sugarcoating anything here. If you must skip down to the un-indented portion. Imagine taking your last breath in this life and waking up in the eternal realm. As your consciousness is revived, your body feels like you, but you know you're already dead. Your senses are heightened, and everything you feel is magnified tenfold. In that millisecond of recognition, you take in your first breathe of a putrid, foul-smelling, garbage dump, overflowing with maggots and worms feeding on the carcasses piled up beneath you. You scramble off the bodies of whom, you have no idea. You move to where there weren't carcasses, but the ground is filled with sharp, jagged, rocks so that every step you took, was unimaginable pain. Likewise, there was no place to rest. No place to sit or lay. The very air you breathe in is acrid with smoke so filthy, it causes you to vomit almost instantly. After vomiting, you gasp for air, but the odor and smoke cause you to vomit and cough all the more. Now, imagine that place it in complete darkness, yet, has fire burning all around, but the fire does not give light. The heat is already unbearable, and you have only been there for a few moments. There are things moving all about you in the dark, some of which you can see, most you cannot, and they begin hurting and violating you in the most awful and painful ways. So you begin to run, tearing your feet up in the process, not even knowing where you're running to. In the distance, you can hear people weeping, crying, cursing, and screaming, and above the sound of them all, are the sounds of the demons hunting you. If this weren't bad enough, you somehow know this place will at some point in the future, be cast into the lake of fire which will be like drowning in burning lava, but never dying. Now, the absolute worst part is (aside from knowing it will never end), is knowing you could have chosen not to go there, but in your vain arrogance and pride, decided you would save yourself. As a result, you are now damned forever and ever with no end. Now, I'm not even a good writer and I can already shudder at any one sentence above. Imagine how much worse the real place will be. This is what Satan and his demons know awaits them. This fate is why they are working so hard to undo it. The fact most humans are ignorant of it and really don’t think about it until the moment after they’ve died is tragic beyond compare. This place is so horrifying, that this is why Jesus spoke more of hell than anyone else in the Bible. This terrifying reality for millions upon millions is why we shouldn’t waste time arguing amongst ourselves over who we think the False Prophet is, or the Antichrist, or even when the Rapture is going to take place. Don’t get me wrong, the Rapture is going to happen exactly when the Bible teaches us it will…that is, before the 70th Week of Daniel. But I don’t care if you’re the most ardent Amillennialist/Post-Millenialist/Preterist/Pre-Wrath Christian on the planet, if you are alive, and a born-again believer, you’re going up in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. You can apologize to the rest of the group on the way up. So the takeaways Be mindful of Satan’s attempts to derail your calling. Be mindful of your ability to sabotage your own efforts by infighting over non-critical issues. Be cognizant that your calling comes at a cost, and that to be a watchman in these final moments of human history is no easy calling. It will mean being alone. Being ostracized by others. It means losing jobs and friends because of the knowledge we are burdened to share. We can’t make anyone give their lives to Christ that is the work of the Holy Spirit to draw them. However, we must be dutiful in the telling, serious in the warning, and patient in the pleading. And although we may not see the results of our efforts today, the seeds we plant might well bear much fruit in the near future. For many, it will take the fulfillment of the Rapture, and the subsequent chaos that results in, for them to finally have the veil lifted from their hearts. Lastly, remember, just as God chose us in Him, so too, has He chosen us to be His messengers of the things to come in these last days. There might be tales told of us in the ages to come of our work here and now, just as we read back about those saints who fill the pages of our own Bibles. Therefore, be joyful in the knowledge that God selected you and I before the world began to live in such a time as this. Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. In recent months, as negotiations over reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the deal's official title, have continued in Vienna, Western negotiators have expressed concern about the negative support Iran is receiving from Russia in the talks. Instead of concentrating on key issues, such as Iran's enrichment activities that Western intelligence officials believe are part of Tehran's attempts to develop nuclear weapons, the Russians have encouraged the Iranian negotiating team to focus on relatively minor issues, such as the location of monitoring cameras at key Iranian nuclear installations, which are vital for monitoring their enrichment facilities. Now Western security officials believe that Iran and Russia have struck a cooperation deal to work together to evade Western sanctions once a new nuclear deal has been agreed by the Biden administration. Iran is known to have established a clandestine banking and finance system to handle tens of billions of dollars in annual trade banned under U.S.-led sanctions. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Iranian system comprises accounts in foreign commercial banks, proxy companies registered outside the country, firms that coordinate the banned trade, and a transaction clearinghouse within Iran. The Kremlin is desperate to find ways to circumvent Western sanctions that have been imposed in retaliation for Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to launch an unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The sanctions have had a devastating impact on the Russian economy, with the rouble losing half its value since the start of the year. To mitigate the impact of the sanctions, which are likely to remain in place for as long as Mr Putin remains in power, the Kremlin is desperately looking for new sanctions-busting opportunities. In secret negotiations conducted between Russian and Iranian officials in recent weeks, Iran, according to Western security officials, has offered to provide Russia with access to its illegal sanctions-busting network in return for Moscow's support in getting a new nuclear deal in place. Iran is desperate to sign a new agreement in return for the Biden administration agreeing to lift the crippling economic sanctions against Iran which, despite its efforts to evade the measures, has still had a negative impact on the country's economy, prompting widespread anti-regime protests. Last month, EU officials involved in the talks said that an agreement was "essentially ready and on the table," but the talks stalled after Russia demanded that its existing trading ties with Iran would not be affected as a result of the Western sanctions imposed against Moscow over Ukraine. Russia and Iran are in the process of negotiating a multi-billion dollar arms deal, including the purchase of Russian warplanes and submarines, and Moscow is keen that the deal will not be scuppered as a result of Western sanctions. Consequently, Russia is looking to Iran for support in circumventing Western sanctions. Following a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in China this week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that Moscow would work with Tehran to take steps to evade Western sanctions, the RIA news agency reported. Western security officials believe the outline of a sanctions-busting deal between Moscow and Tehran is already in place, with Iran promising not to enforce Western sanctions against Russia. As part of the deal, Iran has offered to use its existing evasion network to help Russia sell its oil on international markets once the nuclear deal is signed, and sanctions have been lifted against Tehran. Plans by Russia and Iran to cooperate on evading international sanctions certainly provide a strong argument in favour of the Biden administration ending its obsession with concluding a new nuclear deal with Iran. The White House has already attracted bitter criticism following Iran's latest demand at the Vienna talks that the US agrees to remove Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from its list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). The prospects of Washington agreeing to that demand may have altered slightly, but not nearly enough, after the US this week imposed new sanctions against Iran and an IRGC unit in response to recent missile attacks launched against Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels and Shia militias. The imposition of these measures is certainly a long overdue recognition by the Biden administration that Iran is simply exploiting the nuclear negotiations to further its own regional ambitions. And the fact that Iran and Russia are now actively colluding to evade Western sanctions, thereby forming a new "axis of evil", should finally persuade the White House to end once and for all its involvement in this gross act of diplomatic folly. This new money system Malmgren talks about with such enthusiasm will not only be digital, it will be centralized and it will be programmable. Do not confuse it with Bitcoin or other crypto currencies. The only thing it will share in common with other crypto is that it will be based on blockchain technology. So what do I mean by “programmable” money? This means the central banks will have complete control over your money and will be able to program it so that it can only be spent on certain things or in certain places. For example, have you purchased too many guns or too much ammunition over the past month? Maybe you indulged in too much frivolous travel and blew through too much gasoline? The government could easily have your money reprogrammed to limit future purchases of such taboo items. The possibilities are endless. What’s the bottom line? Once we get digital programmable money, where and how you will be “allowed” to spend your money will depend on your social credit score. This money will be linked to everyone’s personal digital identity. The digital ID marks the other pillar of the new digital economy that they haven’t really told you about yet. But if you read their documents at the World Economic Forum, you know it’s coming. As I’ve stated before, the entire Great Reset hinges on two things – the establishment of a global digital currency and a global digital identity for every man, woman and child. Pippa Malmgren is warning us. That system is at the door. And once it’s here, it marks the beginning of the end because nobody will be allowed to buy or sell without becoming a digitized, hybrid human being. I believe it will be possible for us to live outside this system for a while, but we need a plan, a network. We will need to live in community with like-minded refusniks. The vast majority of people will walk blindly into this digital trap being set by the power elites, only to regret it later. They will lose all autonomy over their bodies, having to submit to endless booster shots, as well as over their minds. Independent critical thinkers will be banned from the system. Traditionally minded Christians and Jews will be banned. Why? Because free thought is not allowed. They talk about diversity and inclusion but that is a euphemism for a society based on total information domination, where you must not only follow but celebrate whatever lie of the day is being promoted in the mainstream corporate media and on social media. Have you “done your part” to defeat the latest virus by getting vaccinated? Do you “stand with Ukraine”? Do you believe that it’s impossible to define what makes a woman a woman? Do you believe that Biden was legitimately elected and that elections are still “free and fair” in your country? These are just a few of the items on the litmus test of the New World Order. Get ready to resist and prepare yourself to live outside the system. One day you may even be faced with martyrdom for your faith. They’ve told us what they are going to do. Are you listening?
What more do we need to know? Stop Living in La-La Land - Nathele Grahams - [email protected] We are living in the times of the signs, yet most Christians are asleep. Of course, that’s another sign of the times. Instead of digging into Scripture and Biblical prophecy, many Christians just put in an hour sitting in a pew and think that’s good enough. That’s sad. That makes it easy for Satan to confuse and befuddle you. His tactics haven’t changed over the years; He still uses the same smooth talk with which he confused Eve. God was very clear when He told Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17. That seems clear to me. God didn’t “suggest” but “commanded the man”. The Hebrew word is “sava’” and means “to command, charge, give orders, lay charge, give charge to, order”. After giving this command to Adam, God took part of Adam and made Eve. Adam knew God’s commands, but it seems he neglected to instill this command into Eve’s understanding. It wasn’t long until Satan attacked Eve’s mind. Satan can take many forms, and he chose to appear to her as a serpent. Right away he twisted God’s words and put doubt into her mind. “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Genesis 3:1. The truth is that God did say they could eat of every tree, except the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve, was easily out-foxed, but tried to be very, very holy, and added to God’s words. “And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.” Genesis 3:2-3. God didn’t say not to touch it. Touching wasn’t the problem, but eating it – taking it into their bodies – was what would cause them to die. Satan began planting doubt through lies. “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5. She believed Satan over God, ate the fruit, then gave it to Adam. Just like that, God’s truth was proved correct. Paradise was lost. Satan is patient and he has been busy planting doubt in the minds of people who are easily manipulated. Over the ages he has convinced people that the Creation account is a fairytale and that the fairytale of evolution is true. When God’s word is doubted, sin abounds. Satan has been busy on many fronts planting doubt concerning what God clearly says. Like Eve, most people are easily befuddled. Why is that? Because they don’t study God’s truth. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” 2 Timothy 2:15-16. There are many so called teachers whose teachings are nothing more than profane babblings. The only way to spot erroneous teaching is to know the truth. It may be that the preacher at your place of worship doesn’t teach the pure word of God. As we draw closer to the end of time this will become worse. It’s important for every Christian to study God’s word in order to discern God’s truth from twisted truth. God inspired the authors of the books of the Bible to write the words they wrote. Scripture is directly from God, and His truth never changes. The thing that can twist Scripture is interpretations. Most of us aren’t fluent in Ancient Hebrew and Greek, so we prefer translations in our own language. These translations are interpreted by humans, and that’s when things can get twisted. When Jesus was asked by His disciples about the end of the age, He gave a discourse about signs we can watch for. There were many things He spoke about, beginning with deception. “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Matthew 24:4. If you follow teachers who water down Scripture or twist the meaning of God’s word, then you’re being deceived. Satan does know Scripture. That’s rather surprising, but he proved that when he tried to trick Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus had been fasting for 40 days, and His human body was weakened. That’s when Satan approached Him with a way to get out of His troubles. All Jesus had to do was worship Satan, and He wouldn’t have to face persecution or mocking. Satan twisted Scripture to try to convince Jesus to worship the evil one. Jesus didn’t live in La-La land. He knew what He had to face. Old Testament prophecy talked about it, and He answered Satan’s twisted words with pure Scripture. All teachings of men need to be filtered through the truth of Scripture. One false teaching is that Christians have replaced Israel. That teaching is heresy. That isn’t taught in God’s word at all. As Jesus spoke further to His disciples about the end times, He mentioned wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes. These things have always happened and will continue until Jesus returns and puts a stop to these events. Those are signs that time is marching forward, and these things will increase in frequency and intensity as we near the end. Jesus likened the time of the end to the days of Noah. This is another point that is misunderstood because God’s truth has been twisted. What were the days of Noah really like? For one thing, most people were living in La-La Land. There was wickedness everywhere, but they didn’t seem aware of it. “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:38-39. People just went about living their lives as if nothing unusual was going on. They weren’t paying attention. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.” Genesis 6:1-2. What could this mean? Some have twisted the meaning to say that the “sons of God” were powerful kings. These kings went about marrying any fair young maiden they wanted. Because of that God destroyed everything. Another twisted interpretation says that Adam and Eve’s son Seth was so good that his sons were the “sons of God” while Cain was so bad that when Seth’s sons married Cain’s daughters, God had to judge the world and destroy everybody and everything. Both of those twisted interpretations make God look bad. It’s better to believe what God says, even if we don’t fully understand the “how” of it. The phrase “sons of God” is “ben” meaning “son”, and “’elohim” meaning “God”. If Scripture meant the sons of Seth, it would have said “ben set”. Whenever the phrase “sons of God” appears in the Old Testament, it describes angels (Job 1:6, Job 2:1and Job 38:7). When we add New Testament Scripture, we understand that “sons of God” refers to a direct creation of God. Angels were directly created by God, as was Adam. After Adam, people are no longer direct creations of God, but sons and daughters of our parents. The New Testament says that when we accept Christ we become “sons of God”. We are a new creation (John 1:12, Romans 8:14, Philippians 2:14, among many others). Now back to the days of Noah. Some of the angels had rebelled against God and decided to take human women for their pleasure. Angels are always described as males, so, there was no marriage in Heaven. When the fallen angels saw human women, they took them for wives and hybrids were created from these ungodly unions. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.” Genesis 6:1-2. It all becomes clear if you don’t twist God’s words. The children of this ungodly union weren’t human, nor were the angels. They were “Nephilim”. The human genome was corrupted. What happens when a human spirit combines with a non-human spirit? Evil. That evil grows and permeates everything. “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5. All the while these ungodly unions were happening, people just went about their daily lives “… eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”. Matthew 24:38b-39. They were living in La-La Land and unaware…probably very “tolerant” of this evil, just like today. Not only was mankind corrupted, but it seems so were the animals, birds, and all of creation was affected by these fallen angels, because God had to destroy everything. “And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.” Genesis 6:7. We also know that there was one family, led by Noah, who had remained pure without allowing the corruption of his human genome.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.” Genesis 6:8-9. This doesn’t mean Noah was without sin, but means his genome…his human genes…weren’t corrupted. God would send His judgment, but He would save Noah and his family, as well as some animals. Noah wasn’t living in La-La Land, but sought to live his life pure unto God. God honored Noah’s diligence and had him build an Ark. God’s judgment is coming again, and we have God’s word to guide us and make us aware of what to look for. Jesus said it would be like the days of Noah. Is that corruption happening today? Yes, it is, but most people are living in La-La Land; going about their lives, and not paying attention. I first became aware that things were getting strange when I read about genes being patented. That told me that the basic genome of God’s creation was being changed. Today, gene editing is being promoted as a way to correct genetic material in order to treat a disease. If you allow your genes to be edited, you may not be prone to cancer, but your genome is no longer pure. When my granddaughter became very ill after getting a “regular” vaccination, I began looking into all vaccines and was shocked to see what is in them. It’s no wonder so many children have Autism, ADHD, gender confusion, and more. Our food is also being genetically modified. Oh, it’s all done to make crops resistant to pests and chickens to grow bigger, but it changes the way God created food to be used by our bodies. If so, do you understand that God’s judgment is coming? This time it will not be by a world-wide flood. As we see wars, pestilence, and famine growing in strength and frequency, we know we are nearing the end of time. There will be a one world monitory system (look into what the World Economic Forum wants to do), a one-world religion (that can’t happen unless Christians allow it), and a one-world government (the Beast of Revelation is growing and his mark will soon be in place). A promise to Christians is that we won’t be on Earth when God’s final judgment begins. The first “picture” of this was prior to the Flood. Noah’s family was genetically pure, and his great-grandfather was Enoch. “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:24. Enoch was Raptured prior to God’s judgment. Notice that Enoch “walked with God”. Today, we have the promise of eternal life through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you’ve placed your faith in Him, then your life should reflect Christ. Sin should no longer rule your life. We still live in this world, with its sin and temptations, but we shouldn’t allow sin and temptation to rule our choices. If you’re living in La-La Land and think that everything is just like it always was, then you need to wake up. Prophecy is being fulfilled. “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:3-4. Christ will call His Bride Home soon, and if you haven’t given your life to Him, you’ll be left on earth to face horrendous judgment. Stop living in La-La Land move into a new life in Christ. Daily Jot: The Farm Chronicles: The saddle and the fight - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Daryl was about three years older than me. He was several inches taller and much more physically mature. He came from a well-to-do family. He knew he was privileged and didn’t bother to hide it. He knew everything. Had done everything. Was better at everything than anybody else. And he ran his mouth constantly. His younger brother was my age, and he was pretty much the exact opposite of Daryl. Still younger, was a sister who was kind and shy. They all showed horses. They didn’t compete well against the rest of us in that they were often out of the ribbons. Their dad figured out how they could win by buying into the newly emerging registered paint horse circuit. Daryl’s dad sponsored the Paint Horse classes, bought the ribbons and trophies. His kids and hired hands rode his six horses in the classes and won the ribbons and trophies. Hauling in all that hardware and having his name announced over the loudspeaker as the winner made Daryl’s head even bigger than his hat. He didn’t care that he really didn’t win anything that his dad hadn’t bought. Having more self-awareness and character, his brother and sister were, I think, a bit embarrassed by the whole charade. Daryl’s self-esteem was boosted every time his family placed first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth in the Paint Horse classes that his dad bought and paid for the privilege. But Daryl had another problem. He wasn’t that good of a rider. I don’t recall Daryl ever winning against those of us who showed in the open classes. But that didn’t stop Daryl from his prideful boasting. It just so happened that about 40 of us were on our horses waiting in the paddock for the pleasure horse class and Daryl moseyed on up and started picking on me. “Pretty fancy saddle,” he quipped. I said, “Thanks, my dad gave it to me for my 16th birthday.” “What? You can’t win anything on that scrub horse of yours so your dad thought a new saddle would make a difference?” Daryl kept gigging me. Finally, I quipped that my dad buying me a new saddle was nothing like his dad buying all the ribbons and trophies so he could at least win something. Insulted and provoked, Daryl rode closer and knocked off my hat, hitting the dust below. He looked at me and then around to the others whose eyes were now focused on us and said, “Well, what are you going to do about it?” To his surprise, I leaped from my horse and tackled Daryl off his horse, falling to the ground, smashing his hat, breaking his glasses and tearing his shirt as we rolled around beneath the horses’ feet. Finally, somebody pulled me off of him as he was whimpering and wiping blood off his nose. I dusted myself off, got on my horse and went into the ring. I was so hyped up on adrenalin that I hardly recall the class until my name was called and the trophy presented. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.” We all saw it play out literally that day. Funny thing about it though, Daryl actually became friendly after that and changed his tone toward others. He was arrested for preaching the gospel, but as a Roman citizen, he had the right to appeal to Caesar. As a result, Paul was living under house arrest, awaiting an appearance before the leader of Rome. Paul didn’t know whether his appeal would bring about his acquittal or his beheading. But instead of worrying and complaining, he was rejoicing and living in great peace. Writing to the believers in Philippi, he said, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! . . . Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (4:4, 6–7 NKJV). Rejoicing is a scriptural command, not a suggestion. To fail to rejoice is actual disobedience to God. But notice that Paul said, “Rejoice in the Lord,” not rejoice in your circumstances. Some Christians think that whatever happens, they should rejoice in it. No, we should rejoice in the fact that God is still on the throne and still loves us. We should rejoice in the fact that, according to Romans 8:28, “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (NLT). When we worry, it’s a failure on our part to trust God. Jesus said, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34 NLT). The word worry comes from a term that means “to choke.” And that’s what worry does. It creates mental and emotional strangulation in your life.
