Is the UN’s Proposed Seven-Year Plan Prophetically Significant? – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config/2023/6/27/is-the-uns-proposed-seven-year-plan-prophetically-significant
The UN recently announced that they need “7 Years of Accelerated, Transformative Action to Achieve SDGs.” The SDGs are the seventeen “Sustainable Development Goals” that the UN put in place eight years ago through which they intend to establish a one-world government. Below is a quote from the UN’s website regarding the upcoming summit during which they hope the leaders of the world will commit to a seven-year initiative to achieve all their SDGs: The SDG Summit, in September 2023, must signal a genuine turning point. It must mobilize the political commitment and breakthroughs our world desperately needs. It must deliver a rescue plan for people and planet. At the center of this rescue plan, Heads of State and Government must recommit to seven years of accelerated, sustained, and transformative action, both nationally and internationally, to deliver on the promise of the SDGs. Leaders can show their resolve by adopting an ambitious and forward-looking political declaration at the SDG Summit and presenting global and national commitments for SDG transformation. Is the fact that the globalists of our day are thinking in terms of “seven years” prophetically significant? Those who believe that the seventy weeks of Daniel 9:24-27 remain relevant for our day would answer “yes.” They teach that the last week of seven years, as the prophet describes in 9:27, awaits a future fulfillment. Those that deny the restoration of a kingdom for Israel won’t place any prophetic significance in the UN’s seven-year plan. That’s because they claim that Daniel’s prophecy of seventy weeks is no longer relevant because the church is now God’s kingdom on earth and thus there’s no seven-year Tribulation followed by Jesus’ thousand-year reign described in Revelation 20:1-10. Which position aligns with the words of Scripture? Let’s examine the evidence. HAVE ALL OF GOD’S PURPOSES FOR THE SEVENTY WEEKS OF DANIEL 9:24-27 BEEN FULFILLED? In Daniel 9:24, the Lord revealed all that He intended to accomplish through His “people,” the Israelites, and His “holy city,” Jerusalem, during the seventy weeks: Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Has God achieved all His purposes for His people and city during this extended time? No, He has not. The Lord has not yet brought “everlasting righteousness” to the world. Yes, Jesus did atone for our sins upon the cross making “reconciliation for iniquity.” However, His purposes for the seventy weeks remain incomplete. God has not accomplished all these things through Israel and more specifically, through Jesus, His Son. Because some would argue that the Lord has brought “everlasting righteousness” to the world in a spiritual sense through the church, we must continue to examine the words of Daniel’s prophecy. WHAT DOES DANIEL SAY WILL HAPPEN TO THE TEMPLE DURING THE SEVENTIETH WEEK? Daniel 9:27 tells us that at the midpoint of the last week, a future prince will desecrate a Jewish temple. “And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.” Has this defilement already happened, or does it await a future fulfillment? Some say that a Greek ruler named Antiochus Epiphanes fulfilled this prophecy on September 6, 171 BC when he offered a pig as a sacrifice on the altar of the Jewish temple. But was this a precursor to Daniel 9:27 or its fulfillment? Those who have calculated the time of the first sixty-nine weeks of Daniel’s prophecy discover that this time period ended on the exact same day that Jesus’ rode triumphantly into Jerusalem, one week before He was “cutoff” fulfilling the words of Daniel 9:26. It’s illogical to say that the seventieth week occurred before the previous sixty-nine; that’s similar to saying the number twelve comes before the number five. Secondly, and most importantly, the Lord Himself said that Daniel’s seventieth week remained unfulfilled in His day, two hundred years after Antiochus defiled the Jewish temple. JESUS REFERRED TO THE TEMPLE DESECRATION WHEN TALKING ABOUT THE END OF THE AGE Jesus, in Matthew 24:15, referred to the fulfillment of Daniel 9:27 as a future event: So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand). When asked about the end of the age and His return to the earth, Jesus’ mentioned Daniel’s prophecy of the desecration of the temple as a sign of these things. In AD 70, a Roman general named Titus destroyed the second Jewish Temple along with much of Jerusalem. This set off a persecution of the Jewish populace that resulted in the deaths of a great many. A great many pastors and Christians teachers/writers today claim that Titus fulfilled Daniel’s seventieth week as well as Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:15-20 at this time. However, is it credible to say that Titus fulfilled Daniel’s prophecy of the seventieth week? No, it’s not. It’s impossible that Titus could’ve been the desolator of the temple during the seventieth week of Daniel because the what the Apostle Paul said about him. PAUL PROPHESIED THAT JESUS WILL DESTROY THE DESOLATOR OF THE TEMPLE AT HIS SECOND COMING In 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, the Paul identifies the one who will desecrate the temple as the “man of lawlessness,” the one we refer to today as the “antichrist.” Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. The apostle tells us that the future desolator will blaspheme the Lord, sit in the “temple of God,” and “proclaim himself to be God.” This has to be the guy that the prophet talked about in Daniel 9:27 and that Jesus referred to in Matthew 24:15. Who else could it be? Paul then adds one detail about the one that will commit Daniel’s “abomination of desolation” at the halfway point of the seventieth week: And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:8) Jesus Himself will kill the future prince that desecrates the temple at His Second Coming. Unless one is prepared to argue that Jesus returned to the earth in AD 70 and killed the Roman general at that time, one cannot say that Titus fulfilled Daniel’s prophecy. If the words of Scripture matter, the events of Daniel 9:27 can’t reach fulfillment until the time just before the Second Coming because the Bible tells us that Jesus will kill the desolator of the temple at His return to the earth. THE APOSTLE JOHN WITNESSED THE DESOLATOR’S FUTURE DESTRUCTION Writing in about AD 95, John tells us that the coming beast, whom we identify as the antichrist, will open “its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling” (Revelation 13:6). This is the guy of Daniel’s prophecy (9:27) as well as the one Jesus referred to Matthew 24:15. He’s also the “man of lawlessness” of 2 Thessalonians 2. Who else could it be? In Revelation 19:19-20, John provides an eyewitness of the future destruction of this future beast, the very one who will desecrate the Jewish temple at the midpoint of Daniel’s seventieth week: “And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.” Just as the Apostle Paul prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:8, Jesus will destroy the “desolator” of Daniel 9:27 at His Second Coming. The seventieth week can’t be fulfilled until there’s again a temple in Jerusalem, the antichrist defiles it, and Jesus kills its desolator at His Second Coming. IRENAEUS (AD 130-202) REGARDED THE DESECRATION OF THE TEMPLE AS A FUTURE EVENT Irenaeus, an early church leader, bishop in Lyons, France, and prominent theologian, wrote Against Heresies in AD 180 to combat the spread of Gnosticism. He was born in Smyrna and received his training in the faith from Polycarp, whom the Apostle John himself discipled. In Against Heresies, book 5, chapter 30, section 4, Irenaeus wrote these words: “But when the antichrist shall have devastated all things in this world, he will reign for three years and six months, and sit in the temple in Jerusalem; and then the Lord will come from heaven in the clouds, in the glory of the Father, sending this man and those who follow him into the lake of fire; but bringing in for the righteous times of the kingdom . . . .” This quote is important for the following reasons:
Although Irenaeus’ words are not Scripture, it’s highly significant that a respected second century AD theologian believed there would be a third temple in Jerusalem in which the still future antichrist would sit and defile. What’s most relevant for our discussion is that Irenaeus wrote these things at a time when both Israel and a temple in Jerusalem didn’t even exist. THERE MUST BE A FUTURE SEVENTIETH WEEK OF DANIEL FOR ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM Let’s put together the biblical evidence for placing the desecration of the third temple in the future:
So, is the UN’s seven-year initiative prophetically significant? Yes, it is! We must not overlook the fact that the globalists of our day are thinking in terms of a seven-year commitment to their objectives. This is relevant not only because the seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy remains unfulfilled, but also because of the convergence of a great many signs pointing to the nearness of the seven-year Tribulation. These things should heighten our curiosity. Please know that I’m not predicting the Lord will return for us this year with the antichrist using the September UN meeting to put in place the seven-year covenant of Daniel 9:27. I realize we might not be quite that close to the Rapture. But what if we are? What if Jesus comes for us today, this week, this summer. Are you ready? Future Visit from the Past? - By Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/2023/06/28/future-visit-from-the-past-by-terry-james/ An emailer recently wrote concerning his observations regarding the unending attacks on former President Donald Trump. His thoughts, plus Todd Strandberg’s Nearing Midnight column commentary, “The Death of Justice in America,” of June 19 on Raptureready.com, evoked my own desire to delve deeper into what this increasingly virulent assault by US officialdom might portend, prophetically speaking. Keith, the emailer, in effect, wrote in part: “Make no mistake about it. The arrest of Trump by WANNABE DICTATOR JOE BIDEN (a Fox News Headline says) GREATLY INCREASES THE DANGER OF A NAZI STYLE HOLOCAUST! The Headline by Fox Editor was very accurate when it said, ‘WANNABE DICTATOR SPEAKS AT THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER HAVING HIS RIVAL ARRESTED.’ The headline editor was fired by Fox News for posting this truthful headline. This is a real threat to our safety and liberties. If the wicked government can take down Trump, no one else is safe.” My thoughts then went to all of the ways this administration and the federal government have weaponized the American system of justice and continue to use it as a bludgeon against political opposition. We remember FBI treatment given Trump team members General Michael Flynn, Peter Navarro, and a number of others. Some were met at their front doors by SWAT teams brandishing automatic weapons while the victims of the assaults were still in their pajamas and nightgowns. Their children were subjected to the humiliating phony arrests as well. My thoughts went next to a novel I wrote thirty years ago, titled Jacob’s Trouble 666. (It is still available on Amazon here.) It depicts the time leading up to the Rapture and forward into the Tribulation era, but it is the scene leading up to the Rapture I remember writing in thinking on this commentary. The character I created, an old man—younger than I now am—was the head of an organization called PAL, standing for Preservers of American Liberty. He was originally from a nation under the former Soviet Union. He was a Christian and led the group of young men and women dedicated to fighting against the tyranny that was about to take over in the United States. These diabolists whom PAL opposed were all of what we might now term the “Deep State.” A couple of agents from a clandestine service came to the old man’s Rockville, Maryland, home and threatened him. They roughed him up, leaving him bleeding. The agents commanded him to desist from his organization’s efforts to oppose things going on in the nation. If he didn’t, they would be back, and things would not go as well as this particular visit. In fact—rather in fiction—they (or someone or something) did return to finish the job when he wouldn’t desist from his leading his PAL organization. He was murdered but was useful to the Lord’s work even through death when the Rapture took place. I’ll show my commercial crassness side and let you get the book to find out how Dr. Hugo Marchek served in this way. I remember thinking while creating this scene that surely this kind of thing was a long way off. But my thought was that this was the scene as it was supposed to be presented. Turns out the American law enforcement’s “alphabet agencies” have swiftly grown to be more Orwellian than my imagination conceived all those years. Having watched developments, I now sometimes wonder when the alphabet agents might pay this old guy (yours truly) a visit! –Thus, the article title: Future Visit from the Past? I’m not the only one who considers the possibilities in this regard. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has thrown his hat into the political ring in the Democrat presidential nomination process, seems to have similar questions. And he, more than most, has reason to think in this vein. His uncle JFK and father RFK, as we all know, were both assassinated. Mr. Kennedy has stated on several occasions he believes the CIA was involved in President Kennedy’s assassination. He has said he is aware that he, himself, might be in danger, and he indicates that it is the U.S. clandestine-type agencies that are worth guarding against. Conspiracy theorist and Democratic 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes his uncle was assassinated by the CIA. He told Joe Rogan that he’s “aware” that he, too, could be targeted by U.S. intelligence — but he doesn’t “live in fear” of the possibility. Kennedy has repeatedly stated his belief that the Central Intelligence Agency was responsible for the assassinations of his uncle, former President John F. Kennedy, as well as his father Robert F. Kennedy. Rogan brought it up during his podcast on Thursday. “You’re talking about your uncle, who was assassinated, and you believe the intelligence agencies were a part of that,” he asked Kennedy. “What happens to you?” “I gotta be careful,” Kennedy replied. “I’m aware of that, I’m aware of that danger. I don’t live in fear of it — at all. But I’m not stupid about it, and I take precautions.” (“RFK Jr. Tells Joe Rogan He’s ‘Aware’ of Possibility CIA Could Assassinate Him,” Yahoo News, June 2023) You notice it’s a Yahoo News rendition of the story, so Kennedy is termed at the outset as a “conspiracy theorist.” He is not in the good graces of the ultra-liberal Democrat upper strata or of their mainstream mouthpiece outlets like Yahoo News. American government and the New World Order minions of Ephesians 6:12 are building toward the time when the Antichrist regime can take its place as the most tyrannical system of all history. This can’t happen until the Restrainer, resident within each believer, is no longer on planet Earth. You don’t want to be left here when life imitates art, as in my fictional account of Jacob’s Trouble 666. You want to be one who hears Jesus Call, “Come up here!” (Revelation 4: 2). Here is how to make sure you go to the safety of Christ at the Rapture. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10). Prophecy Update Videos Must Watch Videos! Videos You Can Trust
Signs of the Coming Antichrist - By Nicole Alcindor - https://www.christianpost.com/news/pastor-jack-hibbs-shares-signs-of-the-end-times-antichrist.html Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in California offered his view of End Times eschatology in a recent sermon, detailing a few of the signs to look for prior to the imminent coming of the Antichrist. Hibbs shared in an April sermon titled “Signs of the Coming Antichrist" that there are prophecies about the Antichrist in both the Old and New Testaments, with the figure sometimes being called "the beast." Hibbs cited Revelation 11:7, which mentions how two Jewish witnesses will share a testimony for three-and-a-half years until the beast kills them. Regarding the differences between the beast and Satan, Hibbs told his congregation to "think of a glove and a hand going into a glove." "The glove is the beast and the hand going into the glove is Satan himself. A man who will be absolutely satanically possessed by the actual personification of Satan. Satan will take on flesh in this man called the Antichrist,” Hibbs explained. WATCH THE VIDEO Hibbs also referenced Revelation 13:1-2, which mentions the “beast rising up out of the sea having seven heads and 10 horns.” Whenever there is a mention of a “sea” in a "prophetic setting," according to Hibbs, it refers to “humanity,” while the “seven heads” refers to “seven authorities,” while “horn” means “king.” Another sign of the Antichrist's eventual arrival is when there will be “seven dominant authorities out of the 10 kings,” seeing it as a sign that "the world is starting to fragment up." "There's no longer any global superpower. That's over. Wake up. It's over,” Hibbs said. “The United States is not the world's superpower. We are now one among many. And the Bible says that there's going to be a division of 10 nations or 10 kings, horns that will rule over the Earth in the last days." The worship of the “dragon” mentioned in the Revelation passage shows another sign of the coming of the Antichrist, in this case, a rise in satanic worship. Hibbs also noted how Revelation speaks of a "little horn," the 11th horn. This is meant to represent the beast and how he will initially be "somebody insignificant." "He is somehow associated with the power group, but he's not well known. Something's going to happen that is going to move him up in a very quick period of time. We're talking about a timeframe that could easily commence anytime now,” Hibbs warned. Hibbs pointed to former President Barack Obama as an example of how a “little horn” can rapidly rise to global influence, pointing out how, in only a few years, Obama went from a community organizer to a senator to president of the United States. “This world will catapult that person forward. In fact, the Bible tells us that out of the 10, the 11th horn will arise amongst them, and he will subdue the major spokespersons of them or the leaders. He'll put down three and take over completely,” Hibbs said. Another sign of the Antichrist coming, Hibbs said, is that the world will be in a time when sin has reached its “fullest,” or there will be more sin in the world than ever before. Hibbs referenced Daniel 8:23, "In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise." “Imagine a beaker," Hibbs told his congregation. "Imagine God is looking at this beaker and sin is going up. And when it reaches a certain point, God says, ‘That's it.’" “Evil is shouting at you as though it's a virtue. Evil is saying, ‘You're wrong; we're right. ... If you stand up and say, ‘Hey, that's wrong. You shouldn't castrate a little child like that!' [Evil responds:] 'You are evil for thinking that!' They'll blame you for being a weirdo. That's how sick things have gotten.” Signs of the Antichrist coming soon have been happening for a while, Hibbs said, asserting that "right now, you're living it" and "you're seeing it in the newspaper." “Think of a knot. Think of the world in a knot. And nobody can do anything about it. In fact, at a time like this, Jesus warned that the world would see all of its problems with no way out,” Hibbs said. “And then, comes this man. Notice out of the 10 nation-confederacy of leaders that are soon to take up residence in the world, this world, someone's going to have a good idea. And they're going to solve a problem. And they're going to go up a little notch; just a little horn. But he's got a fierce countenance." Hibbs explained that "fierce countenance" meant "he has a strong, mighty, rough look. It's arrogant, brazen. It's intimidating." "When this man comes on the scene, he's going to untie the knots of the world's problems, and the world's going to love this guy. And he's going to go up," he added. "That little horn is getting bigger." According to a Pew Research Center report from last November, nearly 40% of Americans believe that they are living in the End Times. In a previous episode of the "Prophecy Pros Podcast" co-hosts Jeff Kinley and Todd Hampson addressed myths and different views Christians have about the rapture, tribulation, the Antichrist and Armageddon in an episode titled, "Prophecy Myths Busted." During that episode, which can be watched online or listened to on the Edifi Podcast Network, Kinley stressed that Christians won't know who the Antichrist will be because they will have already been raptured. "Unless you've been left behind, you're not going to know who the Antichrist is. And so, you don't really want to know who the Antichrist is,” Kinley assured. While the Bible mentions the Antichrist in over 100 passages, it does not tell believers to search for him or attempt to identify him. "But we are told to look for the blessed hope. ... We look for Christ, not the Antichrist," said Kinley, who co-wrote with Hampson The Illustrated Guide to Tough Questions About the End Times. “People often equate evil leaders as trying to play the pin the tail on the donkey with them as the Antichrist," Hampson added. "He's going to come on the scene as a person of peace. The first seal judgment is mimicking Christ. He's on a white horse. He doesn't have any weapons. He's going to look like a nice guy.” The Antichrist will come at a time when there will be many forms of deception unleashed on Earth, Hampson added, citing Matthew 24:24, which states: "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." After the rapture, there will be a time when there are no believers on Earth. But then, Hampson said, “I think a bunch of people will realize, ‘Oh, that rapture thing was real. Those Christians weren't that crazy, after all.’ And they will come to Christ. Lessons from Hosea - Nathele Graham - [email protected] “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4 Hosea was one of the Old Testament Prophets of God and was given a tough assignment. He obeyed God’s direction and today we have a “picture” of God’s faithfulness even when we are unfaithful to Him. Hosea was directed by God to marry “a wife of whoredoms”, which would cause much heartbreak. “The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.” Hosea 1:2. Hosea lived during the same time as Isaiah, so God was speaking through many men at this time. Hosea’s life was to be a “picture” of the relationship between Israel and God. God ordained marriage and uses it as a picture of His love for Israel and Christ’s love for His Bride, so it seems odd that God would tell Hosea to marry an adulteress. This should never be taken as the standard of marriage; infidelity is serious. This directive was to graphically show the faithfulness of God, as represented by Hosea, and the unfaithfulness of Israel, represented by Gomer. Unfaithfulness to God, by worshipping pagan idols, is called adultery. “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Exodus 20:14. At this time in history, David’s kingdom of Israel had been divided into the Northern Kingdom, called Israel, and the Southern Kingdom called Judah. Israel was very unfaithful to God by embracing wicked pagan worship and turning away from God. Idolatry is equal to whoredom, and so Gomer was representative of the idol worship found in the Northern Kingdom. Although, Israel had rejected God, He was still faithful to them and tried to bring them back into a faithful relationship. Idolatry is an abomination to God. Christians need to be sure to worship and submit to Him and not put anything ahead of our love for Him. God holds marriage in high esteem, but today it’s turned into a thing of evil, or skipped altogether. It’s only to be between one man and one woman, and is the only acceptable place for sexual activity. The Apostle Paul discusses marriage and the role of the wife and the husband. Wives have a responsibility to the marriage. “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.” Ephesians 5:22-24. Gomer had trouble submitting to her own husband, and so Christians, as the Bride of Christ, have trouble submitting to our Lord. Woman’s lib and the “woke” movement are tools of Satan to destroy God’s ordained plan. Gomer was a prostitute and indulged in whoredom. She is a “picture” of the nation of Israel over the years. Sometimes they have submitted to God, but other times they indulge in adultery through idolatry and not submitting to God. A husband has his own place in God’s plan. He is to love his wife as Christ loves His church. “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For not man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:” Ephesians 5:25-29. I’m very blessed to have been married to a Godly man, and know how easy it is to submit to his love. When the division of the kingdoms happened, Jeroboam became king over the Northern Kingdom, and like America today, it was prosperous but very corrupt. Evil and wickedness were legalized, while those who feared God and worshipped Him were criminalized. When the leader of a nation is evil, the whole nation follows suit. The Levites who were faithful to God, left Israel and fled to the Southern Kingdom, ruled by Rehoboam, who was King Solomon’s son. “And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts. For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest’s office unto the LORD: and he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he made.” 2 Chronicles 11:13-15. The “high places” were places where evil acts were done and worship of idols was at its worst. Instead of the God-ordained Levitical priesthood, Jeroboam appointed non-Levitical priests who led the adulterous worship. It was Satanic. Today we have the ACLU who champions the “rights” of human sacrifice, called abortion, and promotes the protection of deviant sexual practices, while trying to silence Christians. The similarities of Hosea’s time and America today, are obvious. After the Levites left, other people who wanted no part of the wickedness, also left. “And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.” 2 Chronicles 11:16. There were many people who were faithful to God Almighty. Today we need to follow their example and take no part in the evil that’s gripping the United States, and indeed the entire world. Christians need to shun the ways of the world and put God first. Christians will soon be taken away from the evil when God calls us Home in the Rapture. Because those who refused to be a part of the evil of the Northern Kingdom left, the Southern Kingdom was strengthened. Christians today can strengthen our own nation by refusing to be a part of the wickedness of spiritual prostitution and return to the pure worship of God, and submit to His ways. Hosea wasn’t a part of the idolatry of the Northern Kingdom, but Gomer was. Hosea was a faithful husband just as God is faithful to Israel in spite of their rejection of Him. God was very clear in speaking of the evils of Israel. “Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.” Hosea 4:1. That sounds much like America today. Our schools aren’t required to teach truth and children aren’t taught God’s truth at home. A little boy may be encouraged to be a little girl, or a little girl encouraged to be little boy. The deception is ungodly. Also accepted, and not discouraged, are children who believe they are animals and schools provide litter boxes for them. The truth that God is the Creator is replaced with the lie of evolution. When knowledge of God is denied, truth and mercy soon disappear. It’s happening today but Christians live in denial and keep silent. Too often, like Gomer, Christians even join in the evil. We’re more afraid of being accused of being judgmental than we care about God’s truth and honoring Him. It isn’t being judgmental when standing upon God’s truth. We aren’t under the Mosaic Law, but that Law is the heart of God. The 10 Commandments are a hint of how God views morality. Jesus said “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19. Jesus spoke plainly when He talked about the commandments, and said that God’s truth goes deeper than our actions, and is shown by our very thoughts. “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” Matthew 5:21-22. Have you ever been angry? I have. Jesus also said looking at another person lustfully, is the same as adultery. Our thoughts are important and they will guide our actions. Today, idol worship and lust have led to all kinds of debauchery. Idols? In America? Yes, many. Hollywood stars are touted as sex symbols and lusted after. There are also more subtle forms of idol worship, such as preferring to attend a sports event rather than assembling with Christian friends. Anything you place higher in your priority than God, is idolatry…adultery to God. Emulating the lifestyles of most of the rich and famous, including government leaders, is as evil as the pagan worship of the Northern Kingdom. The world is being groomed to accept the Mark of the Beast, which will make you beyond salvation. “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11. The one-world order of religion, economy, and government is coming about quickly, and it’s all addressed in the Book of Revelation. Study that book and be aware of the times in which we live. Be sure that any government edict you follow isn’t opposed to God’s word. Ignorance of Biblical truth and spiritual whoredom are making it easy for the Anti-Christ to step in as the evil world leader, and the Mark of the Beast is being prepared. Digital money? Christians won’t be on earth to see these things fully implemented; we are seeing the beginnings. We must stand true to God today. We must not be like Gomer. It’s important that we share God’s truth with the adulterous idol worshippers of the world because if they continue to reject God, their eternity will be horrific. God is always faithful, as pictured by Hosea, and has given us Scripture to guide us. If you choose not to study Scripture, you are missing important information about the times in which we live. One of the problems of today is that many people who claim to be Christians follow the ways of the world rather than the ways of God. When King Solomon built the Temple and dedicated it, there was much joy among the people and God was worshipped. God was pleased, but gave a warning that we need to heed today. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14. That verse is directed toward the Jewish nation prior to the division. Still, all who claim to be of God need to pay attention to this warning. Do you call yourself a Christian? That means you are called by God’s name and you need to turn from anything you do that doesn’t agree with God’s commands. We all need to submit to God and stop being unfaithful to Him. We mustn’t be like Gomer. God has never stopped loving His chosen people, and more prophecy is being fulfilled each day. He has reestablished Israel (both kingdoms) and they are back in their land. Jerusalem is their city and no part of it belongs to heathens. There is much fighting against Israel, just as God said there would be, but they won’t be ousted from their land again. The terrorist attacks will eventually be stopped and all of Israel’s enemies will be defeated. There are still many prophecies yet to be fulfilled, and God will always be faithful to Israel. The Rapture of Christians is a prophetic event that will happen soon. For nearly 2,000 years, God has been focusing His attention on Christians. We have not replaced Israel, as some false teachers would have us believe. “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: for this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” Romans 11:25-27. That is a wonderful promise, but there will be a very difficult time, sometimes called the Time of Jacob’s Trouble and also called the Tribulation. Christians will be in Heaven during those final seven years, and that’s a prophetic word from God. As we watch world events, it’s easy to see that prophecy is being fulfilled quickly and all things are happening just as God foretold and in His timing. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. The story of Hosea and Gomer is a beautiful example of God’s love. I have only scratched the surface, but the Book of Hosea contains many prophecies. God’s love, represented by Hosea, is faithful even though Gomer, Israel, has rejected His love. Christians need to study, truly study all of the prophetic books (that would be Genesis through Revelation) to understand what our future is. Israel has one destiny and Christians have another. Idolatry does not honor God, and we are all guilty of putting pride of self above God. God won’t tolerate pride and vanity because they come from Satan. “Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope: that say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it”” Isaiah 5:18-19. When you see pride paraded publicly you can be sure God is not being honored. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter?” Isaiah 5:20. God’s love is perfect and eternal, but if we choose to reject Him and call evil good then we reap the result of our adultery, He will allow us our free choice of spending eternity separated from Him. Remember that God gave His Son to be the final sacrifice for our salvation. If you choose not to accept His death, burial, and resurrection for your salvation, then you choose to spend eternity separated from Him. God is faithful, like Hosea, even when we are steeped in idolatry and reject Him. He has not given up on Israel, just as Hosea never turned away from Gomer. Learn the lessons to be found in Hosea, and be faithful to God. Don’t be like Gomer by chasing after idolatry. Be faithful to God. Daily Jot: Vaxed more likely to be hospitalized - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com The Centers for Disease Control is now saying that If you have been fully vaccinated against COVID, your chances of hospitalization with COVID are 8 percent higher than the unvaccinated. On June 15, the CDC’s Dr. Ruth Link-Gelles told a Food and Drug Administration panel, “We see a pattern of waning against hospitalization.” Not only have CDC statistics demonstrated that the COVID vaccines are not safe, but also ineffective, AND the vaccinated have a nearly 10 percent better chance of hospitalization than the unvaccinated. Additionally, research published by the journal “Vaccine” indicates the COVID vaccines actually weaken the immune system and increase susceptibility to other life-threatening issues. CDC statistics show that being COVID vaccinated actually created negative immunity, meaning the vaccinations actually cause hospitalization after a period of time rather than protecting against the disease. The estimates were negative even after CDC officials adjusted for age, sex, and ethnicity. For those who received one or more doses of the older vaccines, the median time for negative protection was 464 days after the last dose. For the group who received the latest bivalent vaccine the median time was 137 days before effectiveness turned negative. In both scenarios, the results settled at an 8% chance of hospitalization compared with those who were unvaccinated. According to the Epoch Times, the CDC’s VISION network that includes sites across 11 states, the latest COVID “bivalent” vaccine increased protection by only 51% and waned to 20% between 90 to 179 days after the shot. Likewise, those who were immunocompromised taking the latest bivalent vaccine received only 39% protection, which reduce to 11% after 119 days. Epoch Times reported that Link-Gelles told the FDA panel that patterns of waning with the bivalent vaccines “have been very similar to what we knew from the monovalent vaccine” and that U.S. officials don’t make vaccine policy decisions “based solely on vaccine effectiveness data.” Of course, being unsafe, ineffective, and negative efficacy has not changed CDC’s policy toward these vaccinations. The Vaccine Damage Project report conducted by Phinance Technologies indicates that the COVID mRNA shot caused 26.6 million injuries, 1.36 million disabilities and 310,000 excess deaths at a total cost of $147.8 Billion. The authors of the report estimate an excess 2021 and 2022 mortality rate of 23% in the 25-64 age group compared with an estimated baseline of 0.1% for those years. Bottom line: If you are COVID vaccinated, you are at risk. But there are ways to reduce that risk. Proverbs 10:14 says, “Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.” If you are mRNA vaccinated, do not ignore this report. Take action to protect yourself from unnecessary risk. You can start by going to TruthforHealth.org and click on “Vaccine Injury Resources.” This is a valuable guide to prevent mRNA vaccine injury. Daily Devotion: The Joy of Obedience - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. —Psalm 119:1 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/the-joy-of-obedience/ - Listen When it comes to spiritual pursuits, many people put in the bare minimum. They will engage in spiritual things only when it’s necessary, generally during a crisis. When everything is going well, when the sky is blue, the sun is out, and the birds are singing, they don’t really have a thought about God. But when a crisis hits, when the storm clouds gather, suddenly they are calling on the Lord out of necessity. Some people pray only in a time of crisis or when they think of it. They read the Bible only when they have time. But that is not the way to live. The Bible says, “Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord” (Psalm 119:1 NLT). God’s commands are not something we should fear or shun. Yet some Christians say, “I’m not under the law; I’m under grace.” In a sense that’s true. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we are no longer under the curse of the law, which we are unable to keep in our own strength. But let’s also remember that Jesus said, “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose” (Matthew 5:17 NLT). We don’t keep the law to earn God’s approval. But it also doesn’t mean that we disregard it. It doesn’t mean that we can do whatever we want. The principles of the law certainly still apply in our lives. Instead of being a list of rules that were basically unobtainable for us in our own strength, God’s laws are now written on the fleshly tablets of our hearts, as Scripture says (see 2 Corinthians 3:3). They become our delight. They become our joy. And we obey them because it’s our desire to do so.
