What can we expect in 2022? Personally, I would very much like to experience the fulfillment of Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. I know it will happen soon, but who can say if this will be the year when Jesus takes us to the place that He’s preparing for us (John 14:1-3)? The only safe prediction I can make for the upcoming year is that the “perilous times” (2 Timothy 3:1-5) of the past few years will continue unabated. The word translated “perilous,” or “difficult” in some translations, is chalepos. This term denotes the last days as “dangerous” and “hard to bear.” In Matthew 8:28, the word depicts the fierceness of the two men possessed by demons. The text says that they were “so fierce that no one could pass that way.” Such are the ominous times in which we live, and they will grow increasingly treacherous leading up to and during the seven-year Tribulation. How do we cope with these turbulent days as we eagerly await Jesus’ appearing? RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE WITNESSING THE FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECY As we look in greater depth at some of the attributes Paul lists in 2 Timothy 3, it becomes increasingly apparent that they aptly describe the time in which we live. I believe there’s much consolation in this as it assures us that God remains sovereignly in control. He saw this day coming long, long ago and inspired the apostle to write about it just before his death. The critics tell us that these terms describe all of the past two thousand years; they claim nothing has changed to signify that the Lord’s return is at hand. While it’s true that these things have, to some degree, marked every period of history since Paul’s day, I disagree with the scoffers for two reasons: First, the current “perilous times” come at a time when many other prophetic signs are converging as never before in history. Second, we are witnessing a heightened and demonic quality to these attributes that not only indicates the added fierceness of our day, but also the nearness of the Day of the Lord. Consider the following ways that make today different from any previous time in the past two thousand years: UNMATCHED EGOTISM Pride is something that affects everyone. As we look at the apostle’s list in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, however, we catch a glimpse of the unmatched egotism that exists today. Notice the emphasis in verse 2, “For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy.” New Testament commentator William Barclay describes such a person in this way, “He might even seem to be humble; but in his secret heart there is contempt for everyone else. He nourishes an all-consuming, all-pervading pride; and in his heart there is a little altar where he bows down before himself.”[i] Today, it’s not enough for some to have an opinion, but it so often comes with veiled “contempt” for all those who disagree. Those on the left do not even attempt to win an argument, but they rather seek to destroy all those who disagree. The globalists of our day believe they have the wisdom and insight to decide who lives and who dies in their pursuit of global power. Such is the demonic quality that makes their arrogance unrivaled by those who lived in the past. HEIGHTENED BRUTALITY Barclay say that the word Paul used for “brutal” in 2 Timothy 3 “denotes a savagery which has neither sensitiveness nor sympathy.”[ii] The term signifies a viciousness of character that displays a complete lack of human sympathy or compassion. Is this not what we already see in the ruthless and deadly policies now in force in so many countries around the world? The word “heartless” in 2 Timothy 3:3 denotes someone totally lacking in natural affection toward others. The globalists that control many governments across the planet are egotistical, callous people who do not care who they destroy or murder in their quest for world domination and the enslavement of all those under their control. Why do people assume that those who fiercely defend the barbaric practice of abortion can be trusted to govern? The brutality extends far beyond unborn children. PERILOUS TIMES ON STEROIDS When one compares Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 with what the globalists have planned for future of the world, it’s nothing less that “perilous times” on steroids. The goal of these elite is simple: Reduce the population to a more manageable level for the communistic world order they seek to impose upon humanity.[iii] Because so many people, even those securely in Christ, cannot imagine that these elite could be so murderous and deadly in their intent, they remain blind to dangers of their agenda and thereby oblivious to the nearness of the seven-year Tribulation. They naively believe that the Holocaust of WWII cannot happen again despite the evidence that history is repeating itself before their very eyes. THE BEAST OF THE TRIBULATION The beast displayed at the UN headquarters in New York City reveals the fierceness of what awaits people who will live under the New World Order. The eerie similarity of this image to the beast described by Daniel (7:7-8) and by the Apostle John (Revelation 13:1-4) speaks to the nearness as well as to the satanic brutality of our day as we witness the antichrist’s kingdom beginning to take shape. The audacity behind the setting up of this image tells me that the elite are quite confident in their agenda for world domination to the point of flaunting their beastly agenda to kill and enslave. They remarkably refer to the image as “The Guardian of International Peace and Security." Do they know they are quoting 1 Thessalonians 5:3? How is this not a bright red flashing light telling us that we live in the last days? ADOPT THE ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE OF SCRIPTURE Apart from the eternal perspective we see on the pages of the New Testament, I would be drowning in despair. Surviving these perilous times necessitates a two-world outlook that values our eternal hope above all earthly aspirations. This comforting perspective, which Paul aptly describes for us in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 and Romans 8:18, results from both knowing and firmly grasping the specifics of what the Lord has planned for us in eternity. The Rapture signals the beginning of treasures that Jesus has in store for all who believe. That’s when we receive our new glorified bodies, and our Savior takes us to the place He’s prepared for us. This anticipation alone reassures our souls as we encounter the terrors of our day. The Bible also tells us that the Lord is going to judge the wickedness, brutality, and violence of our world; count on it. The Old Testament prophets spoke of this as the beginning to the “Day of the Lord;” we refer to it as the Tribulation as described in Revelation 6-18. At His return to earth, Jesus will throw the antichrist into the lake of fire and totally destroy the kingdom that the elite now labor so diligently to put in place. We will witness Jesus’ display of unmatched and spectacular power when we return with Him at the end of the Tribulation. MEDITATE ON THE SPECIFICS OF YOUR HOPE The specifics of our everlasting hope help us face the dark days in which we live. It’s our anticipation of Jesus’ imminent appearing, our celebration in heaven, our return with Christ to the earth, our reign with Him during the millennial state, and the wonders of the eternal state that anchor our souls during these “perilous times.” We must keep these joyous truths at the forefront of our minds during the dark times in which we live. It’s because of this needed focus that I wrote The Triumph of the Redeemed – An Eternal Perspective that Calms Our Fears in Perilous Times. My book not only provides many details of our joyous future in eternity but demonstrates why we can have confidence in the promises of Scripture regarding our “blessed hope” and all the wonders that go along with it. Satan not only works to add intensity to all the qualities that Paul lists in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, but he’s also laboring overtime to create fear and despair among believers. If he can push our expectation of forever to a far distant and signless return of Christ, he can take away the anchor we so desperately need for the time in which we live. You see, our focus on the joyful adventure ahead of us keeps us from looking to the moment to get us through the dark days of our lives. It’s not that we forgo making plans, setting goals, or preparing for our future, but that we hold our earthly aspirations loosely knowing that we live on the edge of eternity. It’s when we fail to look beyond the confines of this life that the dark shadows of the approaching Tribulation begin to pull us into fear and despair. I am persuaded that we need an unflinching focus on the joy ahead for us as we face the new year knowing life will likely become even more difficult to navigate than it was in 2021. Maranatha! The downfall of most of them has been triggered by moral decay. When greed and corruption become widespread, the fabric of society begins to break down. The left likes to blame the nation’s problems on the rich. They claim, if we just make them pay their fair share, America’s difficulties will be resolved. We could tax the richest 1% of Americans at a 100% rate, and we would still not have enough money to fix the nation’s financial woes. Our key monetary problem is not the lack of taxpayers. We simply have too many people receiving money from the government. The New Deal programs of President Franklin D. Roosevelt started the nation down a dangerous path. The welfare state system has grown with each new president adding his own program to the mix. The people’s addiction to federal handouts reached a new low during the pandemic when the state paid citizens $6 trillion to not work. The recent surge in Covid cases makes me wonder if more stimulus checks will be called for. More than a year after the vaccine was rolled out, new cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. have soared to their highest level on record at over 265,000 per day on average, a surge driven largely by the Omicron variant. New cases per day have more than doubled over the past two weeks, eclipsing the old mark of 250,000 set in mid-January, according to data kept by Johns Hopkins University. The Omicron variant is less deadly than the original virus but is vastly more contagious. Johns Hopkins also said that it’s possible that 60% percent of the population could contract the virus. It is unthinkable that we would spend another $6 trillion on Covid. Few people protested the previous stimulus checks, so they would gladly take any new money. The greatest damage is not that our national debt went from $22 trillion to $29.5 trillion. The stimulus caused millions of people to drop out of the workforce. Our lawmakers love to hand out cash, but they also like to enrich themselves with government money. They do so by investing in companies that benefit from the bill they pass. Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell are two of the dumbest members of Congress. You would think they were both financial geniuses if you looked at their stock accounts for the year 2021. Nancy had a return of 56%, and Mitch had his stock account rise by 67%. Both of them beat the top 12 money managers on Wall Street. The best performer was David Shaw, with a return of 42%. Despite bipartisan support for prohibiting members of Congress from buying and holding individual stocks in office, Pelosi recently said that lawmakers should be allowed to make trades while serving. “We’re a free-market economy,” Pelosi told reporters during a news conference. “They should be able to participate in that.” It’s not fair to the average investor to have Congress trading on knowledge that could have a profound impact on stock prices. If we are going to allow members of Congress to trade on inside information, we might as well allow them to sell their votes to the highest bidder. When Joe Biden came to office, it’s pretty much a given that his son Hunter Biden was going to use his father to make money. Hunter has a long history of moral failings. He has a fondness for a variety of drugs. Over the past two decades, Biden has been in and out of rehabilitation several times. He fathered a daughter with an Arkansas stripper and then claimed to have never met the woman. The president’s son was part owner of a venture involved in the $3.8 billion purchase by a Chinese conglomerate of one of the world’s largest cobalt deposits. Hunter opened an art gallery, which has some wondering if people who buy one of Hunter’s paintings will be able to use the acquisition to influence his father’s administration. The White House has made it clear that Hunter is free of any safeguards. Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to commit to “basic transparency” about Hunter’s involvement in that Chinese investment fund during a White House Press Briefing. She also refused to admit his infamous laptop is authentic. “The president’s son is not an employee of the federal government, so I’d point you to his representatives,” Psaki snarked after being asked about the China connection. She used the same lame excuse back in February: “He’s a private citizen — I would point you to him or his lawyers on the outside on any update.” Greed and Corruption have become so profound in America, I think there’s a 100% chance that we will suffer a financial meltdown. The reason for my certainty is that most people have lost the ability to see the danger that is headed in their direction. “The way of the wicked is as darkness. They know not at what they stumble” (Proverbs 4:19). The Fall of The Mainstream Media & The Biggest Lies They Told In 2021 – Brandon Smith - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5140 If the past year has confirmed anything it is that the mainstream media is thoroughly dishonest. Yes, most people already suspected this, but the last 12 months have provided more confirmation than the past several years combined. 2021 has made is clear that the mainstream media is a propaganda arm of political and corporate elitists, from big government to big pharma. While there have been a few shining examples of independent and mostly unbiased journalism in the MSM, these moments are as rare as Loch Ness Monster sightings and almost as unbelievable. The public has been lied to so consistently that sometimes we ignore legitimate journalism when it pops up because it's safer to assume the media is disingenuous at all times. I've personally noticed a wash of commercials lately paid for by major legacy media platforms like the New York Times desperately trying to convince the public that they are still relevant. The message is that they are the only "true source" of news information while they beg people to start subscribing and reading their material once again. Leftist media is crumbling, with online propaganda peddlers and click-bait producers like Buzzfeed and Vox imploding. The lack of profits is obvious and the layoffs have been aggressive. These platforms survived for the past few years on tech media hype and venture startup capital, but the free money has run out and now they don't know what to do. Buzzfeed's scheme was to go public and sell shares, but this plan failed so completely and the company's stock plunged so hard that the event has exposed all other fledgling tech media to wider scrutiny. In other words, no one has faith in these outlets - at least not enough to invest in them - and now the veil of their supposed "success" has been lifted. Buzzfeed used to claim they were worth $1.5 billion; reality revealed they are worth almost nothing. Legacy media has also seen its audience numbers plummet over the past ten years, but the the last year in particular has been especially unkind to them. ALL of the major corporate news channels saw their audience ratings decline, with CNN seeing the largest drop overall. CNN is facing an epic decline of 68% in its prime-time numbers in 2021, while MSNBC now has the smallest prime-time audience it has witnessed since 2016. Fox also dealt with audience declines but continues to remain the most watched cable news outlet so far, probably because of the continued popularity of commenters like Tucker Carlson. Some might blame the loss of election coverage, but it's not as if there hasn't been enough news to hype in 2021. With millions of people still working from home and facing intermittent covid restrictions this year (in blue states), you would think that this would represent a captive audience for the fear machine. Even YouTube and other social media platforms are forcing MSM content into our faces daily while burying any alternatives. Yet, their numbers are still plunging and audiences are laughing. YouTube has even removed the "Dislike" button just to protect the corporate media and the White House from the hilarious bombardment of thumbs down they receive on every video. It's unacceptable for us peasants to have the ability to voice our discontent. So, where are people turning for their news if not the mainstream? While stats are not as well tracked for independent sources, it is obvious from viewership and subscription numbers that the alternative media is quickly becoming the dominant force in information. My own audience numbers have jumped at least 30% in the past two years alone and this seems to be the trend across the board for conservative and libertarian media. Websites like Social Blade, which tracks YouTube channel stats, support the conclusion that the alternative media is becoming the go-to media. Why is this happening? It's actually been a long time coming. Mainstream media numbers have been in decline for many years and their audience age brackets have been increasing dramatically. This accelerated after 2016 when the mainstream media mask came off completely and what we now know as the "Culture War" revealed itself. The migration of audiences is undeniable in entertainment and pop culture media. Mainstream platforms funded by a steady cash flow from the corporate coffers of Disney, Time Warner, Comcast, Viacom, etc, used to reign supreme in entertainment publications. Moderately sized tech media operations clamored to remain in the good graces of these corporations in exchange for favors and special access. Now, operations with billions of dollars behind them are being thwarted by low cost do-it-yourself YouTube channels like Geeks And Gamers, The Quartering, Nerdrotic, Clownfish TV, etc. The bloodletting has been so horrific that social media companies (with a shared agenda) have partnered with the majors to suppress these types of channels, demonetizing them or erasing them from public view with their algorithms. Alternative channels get so much attention because they offer something people want - An honest opinion and analysis instead of an opinion bought and paid for with corporate dollars. In the political and social sphere there have been numerous success stories, including Joe Rogan's podcast, Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro, Blaze TV's 'You Are Here', Tim Pool, the list goes on and on. In economic media, outlets like Zero Hedge continue to bring in millions of readers that most other mainstream institutions WISH they had. To be sure, some of these information sources are still playing catch-up to those of us once considered "conspiracy theorists" a few years ago. That's okay. I'm not saying that there isn't more that could be done. What I'm saying is that there is a revolution happening in how people consume media and at least some truths are getting out there to the normies. I have been working and publishing within the alternative media for 16 years and I don't think many who are new to the field realize how much Americans have broken free from the mainstream narrative in that time. When I got started, to even dream of the audience numbers we now have was considered naive fantasy. Today I continue to find great hope in the growth of independent journalism. The fact of the matter is, for decades corporate institutions conned the masses into believing only THEY were qualified to act as gatekeepers and guardians of the information bottleneck. Only they were the true "journalists." They have now lost the respect of the public and their gatekeeping is over. On that note, let’s examine just a few of the reasons why trust in the mainstream has imploded. Let's look at some of the biggest lies perpetuated by the MSM in 2021... The Jan 6th "Insurrection" Probably one of the most fake news stories of the decade. The mainstream media has relentlessly parroted the propaganda that the conservative protest at the Capitol Building on Jan 6th was some kind of planned attempt at a national takeover and violent coup resulting in multiple deaths. The reality was much less sexy. First, the FBI has been forced to admit there is no evidence supporting the claim that the protest was an organized coup. And when an institution that is extremely hostile to patriots admits this, you know the government has nothing. Not a single death originally attributed to the Jan 6 protesters was actually caused by them, so that tall tale has been tossed down the memory hole. While there was violence and an unarmed protester was shot and killed by police (Ashli Babbitt), the result of the event was nothing close to an insurrection. Protesters walked in, milled around for a little while, some people stole some souvenirs, and then everyone left. It can barely be considered a "riot." Compare this to the BLM riots across the country which resulted in multiple actual killings by people directly participating, not to mention billions of dollars in property damage. The media called these riots "peaceful protests" while condemning the Jan 6 participants as monsters. When conservatives protest something at least we go to the source instead of burning down the homes and businesses of innocent people. And I want to explain something else to leftists because I don't think they get it - When you do see a conservative "insurrection" (rebellion against centralized tyranny), they will not be unarmed like they were on Jan 6 and they will not stop until all corrupt elements of the establishment are removed from power. If you were hiding under your beds over the events of Jan 6th, you really have no clue. Fauci's Gain of Function Research Despite the fact that the largest Level 4 virology lab in Asia is in Wuhan, China right down the street from the epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak, the mainstream media at the behest of the government and the medical establishment has fought tooth and nail to deny any connection. If this was a murder investigation it would be like a detective walking in a room to find a dead body and a neighbor standing over it with a bloody knife, and then buying the suspect ice cream and sending him on his merry way. If you didn't witness the actual stabbing, why investigate further? Why was the media so adamant about ignoring the obvious? Maybe because government agencies like the NIAD and NIH under the direction of Anthony Fauci were involved in funding clandestine "Gain of Function" research of coronaviruses at that very lab in Wuhan. This would explain why the initial strain of Covid that spread around the world in early 2020 was a 96% match to samples held at the lab since 2013. The other 4% could be attributed to genetic manipulation through gain of function. Fauci denied any involvement in gain of function research, which is predominantly used for the weaponization of a virus or other microorganisms. The media violently defended him and accused anyone critical of Fauci of being crackpot conspiracy theorists. Well, it turns out he was lying again. The release of over 900 documents related to coronavirus research funded by Fauci and the US government in Wuhan proves the media either blindly defended Fauci without looking at the evidence, or that they share the same agenda. The Pandemic of The Unvaccinated "Breakout case" is now a common term used in the media to describe fully vaccinated people who still get sick from and die from covid infection. But not long ago the narrative was that anyone and everyone falling ill from the virus was unvaccinated. The media and the government still push the notion that unvaccinated people are filling up hospitals and ICU beds, but there is zero evidence to support these claims. Meanwhile, the most vaccinated countries on the planet are also dealing with some of the highest infection rates on the planet and continuing deaths. In Ireland, for example, over 63% of recent covid deaths were fully vaccinated individuals. In Israel, nearly 60% of covid hospitalizations are fully vaccinated. Uruguay, Bahrain, Maldives and Chile all have overwhelming majority vaccinations and all of them have seen spikes in covid deaths and infections. If the vaccines actually work, then how is this possible? Conclusion: The vaccines don't work, at least not in the way that pharmaceutical companies initially claimed. Add to this the fact that people with natural immunity are 13 to 27 times more protected from covid than people who submit to the jab. One has to ask - What is the point of these experimental mRNA vaccines with no long term data to prove their safety? "Transitory" Stagflation Mainstream media denial of US inflation has been commonplace for some time. Now, they can't hide it anymore. With price inflation hitting 40-year highs (according to official numbers), the pocketbook of the average American is taking a massive hit, and its only going to get worse from here on. The media appears to be specifically invested in hiding real economic data from the public and protecting the Federal Reserve and central banking practices in general. I won't get into my theories on why this is the case, I'll only say that an unprepared populace is an easy to control populace when an economic crash occurs. Covid Keeping Audiences from The Movie Theaters? The movie industry was on the decline well before the covid pandemic happened, and it is undeniable that this was largely due to the extreme leftist propaganda implanted into Hollywood films since 2016. Yes, Hollywood was woke before then, but nowhere near as bad as the industry has become in the past five years. Hollywood calls this politicization of films "inclusivity," but having more black and brown people in films is not the issue. Rather, it is the injection of leftist woke ideology and cultism into everything from films to TV series to commercials. The culture war is VERY real, and sadly, the biggest mistake of conservatives was to mostly ignore the fight in popular entertainment until recently. There is hope, however, and it is found in the mantra of "Get Woke Go Broke!" Audiences are voting with their wallets and the consensus is that they do not want woke politics poisoning their entertainment. For the past couple years leftists in the media have said that the crash in theater profits has been caused by public fear over covid. This excuse was recently destroyed by the latest Spider-Man film, which has no woke politics and had audiences coming to theaters by the millions. The film made over $1 billion in 5 days, breaking previous records. Clearly, covid is not a factor at all, but if you look at almost every failed movie this past year there is a thread that connects them - Woke propaganda. No one wants it, no one likes it. The media has no other means of denying it any longer. There are many other lies I did not get a chance to cover here, but I think you get the picture. Who knows what the next year will bring in terms of spin from our corporate gatekeepers? At least, for now, the alternative media has stepped up to fill the void and bring facts where there was once only deception. In order to get rid of the truth, they will have to get rid of us. Otherwise, the free market has spoken. On March 11th, 2020 the World Health Organization officially declared that the COVID-19 outbreak was a global pandemic. According to timeanddate.com, moving forward 666 days brings us to January 5th, 2022. Over the last 666 days, we have seen an extremely alarming rise of authoritarianism all over the globe, and all of our lives have been changed permanently and dramatically. So I think that it is quite appropriate that we commemorate the 666th day of this pandemic, because governments all around the world have certainly been behaving in ways that are unspeakably evil. And I find it quite interesting that one day after January 5th is the one year anniversary of the dramatic events that played out in Washington D.C. on January 6th, 2021. How do you think Ray Epps will be celebrating that anniversary? Of course that is a topic for another article. In this piece, I want to take a look at the current state of the COVID pandemic. After everything that Dr. Television and his minions have done over the past two years, the COVID pandemic is worse than ever. In fact, it is being reported that America “has set a seven-day-average record for Covid cases every day over the last week”… The U.S. has set a seven-day-average record for Covid cases every day over the last week, according to an analysis of NBC News’ case numbers and Department of Health and Human Services hospitalization data. In that time, 33 states, Washington, D.C., and two territories have set records for cases, hospitalizations or both. Interestingly, the Omicron variant is hitting blue states with very high vaccination rates particularly hard. Here are just a couple of examples… New Jersey set a case record every day in that period, with the average count ballooning from 15,000 cases a day to more than 27,000, while New York’s average number of cases set six records, from 37,000 to a peak of more than 71,000 average cases per day. But instead of letting recent data change his message, Joe Biden continues to stick with his original narrative… “You can still get COVID, but it’s highly unlikely that you’ll become seriously ill,’’ Biden said. “If you’re vaccinated and boosted, you are highly protected. Be concerned about omicron, but don’t be alarmed. And if you’re unvaccinated, you have some reasons to be alarmed. You’ll experience severe illness in many cases.’’ Unfortunately for Biden, more Americans than ever have lost faith in his leadership. In fact, the percentage of Americans that disapprove of his job performance just hit another new high… Fifty-six percent of voters now say they disapprove of the job Biden is doing, the worst such reading of his presidency as he approaches the end of his first year in office, according to new CNBC/Change Research poll. Prior polls in the series showed Biden’s disapproval rating at 54% in early September and 49% in April. I think that it would actually do Biden a lot of good if he would be willing to admit that he has made major mistakes during this pandemic. The American people respond to leaders that are humble enough to admit when they have been wrong. But Biden isn’t going to do that, and the mainstream media is going to continue to keep spinning stories so that they appear to back up Biden’s narratives. Here is just one example… People might mistakenly think the COVID-19 vaccines will completely block infection, but the shots are mainly designed to prevent severe illness, says Louis Mansky, a virus researcher at the University of Minnesota. Oh really? From the very beginning, they were “mainly designed to prevent severe illness”? Do they really think that people have such short memories? Over in Europe, case numbers have also escalated dramatically in recent weeks, and this has caused a wave of tremendous fear. Many Europeans thought that if they just kept complying with everything that was demanded of them that life would eventually get back to normal. Instead, life just continues to get even weirder. In Sweden, a new start-up company is making a lot of headlines by embedding microchips that contain vaccine passport information directly into the arms of citizens… A Swedish start-up tech company has invented a scannable microchip that is implanted in people’s arms and can display your COVID-19 vaccination status. This digital implant is designed to be embedded into people’s arms so your vaccine passport pops up when scanned. Needless to say, many of us would never get “chipped” under any circumstances, but a lot of people over in Europe are willingly allowing this to be done to them. And the head of this new company in Sweden is warning that this new technology is going to move forward “whether we like it or not”… He said: “This technology exists and is used whether we like it or not. “I am happy that it is brought into the public conversation. “New technologies must be broadly debated and understood. “Smart implants are a powerful health technology. “That is what we are building at DSruptive and our goal is to transform healthcare on a global scale.” Doesn’t he understand how this sort of technology could potentially be abused? I am sure that there are governments all over the globe that would love to chip all of their citizens if they thought that they could get away with it. Of course, they have already gotten away with so much over the last 666 days. Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Italy and France used to be such lovely places to visit, but now they have all been transformed into authoritarian hellholes. And the Biden administration would love to take us down the exact same road. Fortunately, there are quite a few red state governors that have been willing to stand up to Biden, but this political battle is far from over. Meanwhile, Dr. Television and his minions continue to spread fear on the airwaves, and all of that fear is slowly but steadily tearing our society apart. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: The violent coup narrative - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com As the Democrats prepare to recount their revised version of the January 6 protests at the Capitol, corporate media are embellishing the narrative that the protests were a violent, deadly attempted coup that threatened democracy. An account by Reuters announcing Joe Biden’s “truth” speech about what happened that day, said “Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will speak Thursday morning at the U.S. Capitol, one year after thousands of Trump supporters raided the complex in a failed attempt to stop the counting of Electoral College votes by lawmakers that officially delivered the Democratic president’s election victory.” Most stories that day estimated the “raiders” at no more than 800. My how history changes. You will hear descriptions using words of “insurrection,” “bloody coup,” and “violent overthrow.” These may be just projections by the media and the Democratic Party politicians of what they would like to do to the US government. Certainly, the policies they support undeniably suggest a total remaking of this remarkable Republic into a socialist state. I took a lot of heat for it at the time when I wrote on January 7, 2020: “because of the way things went down on Capitol Hill, conservatives and Christians will be paying that price of association for years to come, guilty or not.” And that is how the media and the democrats are positioning January 6. But these people have no idea what a real coup, a real insurrection looks like. Take it from my ministry partner, Pastor William Agbeti, who has lived through seven coups in Ghana. He writes, “Three key characteristics surrounding these coups were: 1) Clear intentions to topple ruling governments and unseat incumbent Presidents through most times bloody uprising; 2) Engagement of Mass Media machinery to announce the coups, suspend the constitution, ban ruling parties and governments and direct government leaders to report themselves to the nearest police stations in their own best interests; and 3) Bringing to a halt all government and to a large extent private business operations. Given these backdrops to coups in Ghana, and thinking within this context, I find it difficult to appreciate how the January 6, 2021 incident involving a group of people storming the US Capitol could be described as “insurrection.” Agbeti says, “When all the above Ghanaian precedents and the legal US parameters are disengaged from the January 6, 2021 “insurrection,” then the likelihood that some vested interests are trying to give a dog a bad name, so to speak, is easy to believe! I think we should all see the January 6, 2021 incident as purely a public challenge to, or demonstration against, perceived wrongful election results. Period. I wish many were in my shoes, to understand that it is in everybody’s best interests, as a people and a nation, to stop fanning the flames erupting from January 6, 2021. Proverbs 14:12 says: “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.” Let’s all wisely and prayerfully avoid this end. Don’t glorify or crucify January 6. Elijah stood on Mount Carmel and spoke to the vacillating, fickle people of Israel and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him” (1 Kings 18:21 NKJV). And Moses decided to choose difficulty over ease. Hebrews 11:25 says of him, “He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin” (NLT). Yet because of his right choices, he was a man of personal integrity. God’s worst is better than the world’s best. What is the world’s best? It’s a few short-lived pleasures. And what is God’s worst? It’s persecution, rejection, being mocked, and things of that nature. On the other hand, God’s best is peace, purpose, meaning in this life, a relationship and friendship with God Himself, and the guaranteed assurance of Heaven beyond the grave. What is the world’s worst? It’s misery, guilt, emptiness, and a future of judgment in Hell. No matter what choices you make, you will stand before God one day. But only one road leads to Heaven, and it’s through Jesus because He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. If you want to know that you will go to Heaven when you die, you need to ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins and begin to follow Him as your Savior and Lord.
