Living in Biblical Times – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/living-in-biblical-times
The earth and its inhabitants are busy. They are busy staying preoccupied with anything and everything they can, so long as it distracts them from that gnawing feeling in the pit of their soul asking, "What happens to me after I die?” In the meantime, they settle for distractions. They will settle for anything that keeps them focused on the immediacy of the now, over the lateness of the hour. Politics. Pop culture. Sports. Work. News. The reality is, this world and this universe are winding down, and as it does, is beginning to spin wildly out of control. The more out of control it becomes, the more Satan wants you staring at the tree, and not at the coming wildfire that is burning down the forest. The end is coming a lot sooner than most people think. Since most of the world is not watching, the suddenness of the great disappearance will catch them off guard; And then, sudden destruction will come upon them. In fact, they will not know what is happening until it’s already done. Knowing vs. Seeing There has been a lot of discussion over the past century on whether or not we can know when the Rapture happens. And if we remove all the crazy date setters and wild-eyed speculators out there from the equation, what remains are essentially two camps of watchers- those who think we can’t know, and those who think we can. Let us see what the Bible says on the subject? …not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 According to the writer of Hebrews, watching believers should be able to see the Day approaching. But what does that mean exactly? If the Rapture is a signless event (it is), then how can we see it approaching? How does Matthew 24:36 factor into it? “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” At this point, we have a verse saying we will see (with our own eyes) that Day approaching, and we have another verse stating we can’t know exactly when Christ will return. If Matthew 24:36 were Christ’s final or only words on the subject, I would tend to agree that we can’t know. However, these are not Christ’s final or only words on the subject of His return. Nearly sixty years later, Christ tells the Apostle John on the island of Patmos to address seven letters to seven churches. Of note, here is a portion of Christ's words to the church at Sardis. In it He says: Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. Revelation 3:3 So now, Christ adds both the seeing (watching) and connects it with the knowing. If taken through its logical conclusions, if we will not watch, then we will not know what hour He comes upon us. Conversely, if we will watch, then we should know what hour He will come. This seems to correspond more with the passage in Hebrews 10 as being able to see that Day approaching than it does with the Matthew 24:36 passage. It was to the Apostle Paul who was given the task of explaining the mystery of the Rapture to a growing Gentile church. In fact, Paul writes more about the Rapture of the Church than any other writer in Scripture. Paul clarifies this line of thinking regarding knowing vs. not knowing when he writes these verses to a small church in Thessalonika: But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 1 Thess. 5:1-4 Being in darkness is a colloquialism for being blind (or not being able to see). Here, Paul links those who are not in Christ and are of the world, as being in darkness. He also links those who are in Christ and are watching, as being 'sons of the day.' Paul links being able to see (being of the day) with knowing perfectly when the Day of the Lord is at hand. As I have written in previous articles, there are two different usages of the phrase the Day of the Lord (DoTL) used in Scripture. There is a general usage of this term DoTL all throughout the New and Old Testament that speaks to the whole seven years. There are also numerous passages that speak to specific usage of this term, speaking directly to the Second Coming itself. However, I believe Paul is addressing the general usage of the DoTL phrase here in 1 Thessalonians 5. In conclusion, we who are watching will be able to know that Day is approaching, because we are seeing the things (geopolitical, technological, financial, religious, etc.) come to pass that are necessary for the 70th Week of Daniel to happen. Like how we know Thanksgiving is near when we see the decorations for Christmas going up, we also know the Rapture is near when we see the things 70th Week going up. Although we cannot know the specific day or hour (or the exact moment) of the Rapture, we can know the season. Harvests, Feasts, and Seasons “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 Speaking of times and seasons, Jesus often referred to parables when speaking of His return. In His most famous parable on the subject, He links His return to a specific time of year. While we cannot be dogmatic about it, clearly, Jesus knew every word He spoke and was recorded in Scripture would be scrutinized to the nth degree. Therefore, it is my opinion He used this example very strategically. Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Luke 21:29-33 Although most of us are not farmers, we know that the Israelites were given instructions in the Old Testament on how and when to harvest their crops. First, they were to gather the “first fruits” as an offering to the Lord. Secondly, they would then conduct the main harvest (minus the corners of the field). Depending on the crop, there would be an early and late harvest. Lastly, the poor could be allowed to come in once the main harvest was complete, and would be allowed to go through the gleanings of the field (Lev. 19:9-10). Perhaps one of the greatest examples of this is found in the story of Ruth (a gentile bride), which is celebrated during the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot or Pentecost), which puts it in late spring, early summer. The times and seasons also corresponded with the Feasts of the Lord. There were four Feasts in the spring, then a long summer break, and then three Feasts in the fall. We know in the life of Christ, He fulfilled the first three with His death, burial, and resurrection. We also know that the church was conceived at Pentecost some fifty days later. What remains is the fall feasts, and we believe that these will also be fulfilled literally during the 70th Week of Daniel. The question remains, where does the Rapture of the Church fall into this pattern (if at all)? Feasts of the Lord And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. Leviticus 23:1-2 Spring Feasts 1. Feast of Passover (Fulfilled) (24 hours later) 2. Feast of Unleavened Bread (Fulfilled) (2-6 days later) 3. Feast of First Fruits (Fulfilled) (50 days later) 4. Feast of Weeks (Shavuot/Pentecost) (Fulfilled) (135 days later) Fall Feasts 5. Feast of Trumpets (10 days later) 6. Feast of Atonement (5 days later) 7. Feast of Tabernacles (73 days later) 8. Hanukah [Dates courtesy of Robert Breaker’s White Board!] Now, the Church was conceived (not born) at Pentecost, and what we have been waiting for these past two thousand years during our gestation period (i.e., the Church age) is the Rapture (our birth). This is the long-awaited birth of all the singularly corporate, body of believers from that first Pentecost until the Rapture (Romans 8:18-25). Every born-again believer of both the living and the dead will meet Christ in the air for the greatest reunion the world has ever seen. What we can’t know is whether or not this reunion and transformation (from mortality to immortality) happens as part of the Feasts of the Lord, or is a completely unconnected event. It would seem though, that given our conception being originally connected with Pentecost, must in some way, find its birth also with Pentecost (to close the loop so to speak). Now, some have pointed out that the last trump must be connected with the Feast of Trumpets, but I do not think this is the case. As I have pointed out on numerous prior occasions, if there is a last trumpet, there must also be a first trumpet. The first trumpet blast gathered the nation of Israel together for the first time at the foot of Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19). It only makes sense that the last trumpet gathers all of the church together in the air at the Rapture (1 Thess. 4:13-18, 1 Cor. 15:51-56). Thus, this explains the significance of the ‘last trump’ as being connected with the gathering of a body of believers, rather than a feast. Signs Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; Genesis 1:14 The Bible is replete with references to the heavens, and we know historically, the Mazzeroth held significance to earlier Bible people. Correspondingly, many in our own day have pointed to various astronomical events such as the Blood Moon Tetrads or the Revelation 12 sign as having prophetic significance. Whether they are significant or not, I cannot say with authority. We know two millennia ago, God used the “Star of Bethlehem” as a sign for the Gentile Wise Men to follow and worship the child, Jesus. We also know inside of the 70th Week of Daniel (the seven-year Tribulation) that there will also be major astronomical signs in the sun, moon, and stars (Acts. 2:19-20) that herald the Day of the Lord. However, we cannot say with any specificity whether or not the things we are seeing now in the heavens, point to anything specific. If we are in the dispensation of the Church (I believe we are), then we do not derive our authority from the signs and wonders that accompanied the Old Testament times and/or will find fulfillment inside the Tribulation. Rather, we preach Christ crucified, which is a stumbling block to the Jews, and foolishness to the Greeks (1 Cor. 1:23). Therefore, anything we see today is either not for the Church to apply to our own deliverance, or serves as a sign to point Israel to the lateness of the hour since they have rejected the message of Christ crucified. For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 1 Cor. 1:21-22 As I've said on numerous occasions, I don't dismiss out of hand things like the Rev 12 sign or other events, I just don't think we can pin any of our specific hopes on them. The proof of this is that they have happened, and we are still here, so whatever they meant, is beyond us. What we can know though, is that creation is moaning and groaning, and we are seeing our universe becoming increasingly hostile to the burden of sin placed upon it. This means an uptick in both natural calamities, such as earthquakes, volcanic activity, and hurricanes, as well as cosmic disturbances. If there are any signs we as the Church can see and point to as the lateness of the hour, it is the birth pangs. The fact we are seeing such a dramatic increase in both the frequency and intensity of the natural and cosmic disturbances is a testament to the lateness of the hour. But it is not just the universe winding down that points to our end coming soon. There are many other signs which are happening simultaneously that are also heralding the end of our age. These are the growing apostate nature of Christendom (not the true Church), the geopolitical alignment of nations against Israel (e.g., Gog-Magog), the revival of the old Roman Empire, technological advancements in military weaponry, genetics, artificial intelligence, information processing, and the implementation of these things into the human body. The old order of geopolitics is falling apart and the new world order is rising. Across the board, evil is being called good, and good, evil. Because of this, we are feeling the effects of the wrath of abandonment in this once blessed nation. Violence and wickedness are on the rise everywhere. Lastly, we are seeing the nations of the world setting the stage for the coming ten-nation confederacy by using 'governance-by crisis' as test-runs with global mandates and lockdowns. Closing People have been saying for many years now that Christ's coming must be soon because of this sign or that. Some pointed to the rise of Hitler or the year 2000 as proof. To be fair, what are a few decades in light of eternity? So "soon" or "at hand" are relatively subjective terms. So in light of what we have discussed already, and instead of saying that Christ is coming soon (this term is rather vague), let us consider a few key points as we close out this study by looking at things in reverse order.
I guess at this point, you just need to ask yourself if you can see anything on this shortlist as already existing? Is it already in play? Is it already being implemented? What's left to happen? If you can see it, then as 'sons of the light' and 'sons of the day, you should know that our salvation (deliverance) is at hand. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. Luke 21:28 Believe It…or Not - By Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/09/11/believe-itor-not-by-terry-james/ “Believe It or Not” was a syndicated newspaper series of brief facts about strange things in the world that ran for decades during the twentieth century. As I recall, each explanation of the strange goings-on was accompanied by an artist’s rendering that more or less encapsulated the weird story being told. Later, actor Jack Palance snarled out in his usual villainous voice a TV series telling Ripley’s Believe It or Not stories. The viewers could make up their own minds about the truth of the stories. However, most had enough evidence to back up their veracity. These were, of course, for entertainment purposes. The things told were mostly about events that had happened in the distant past, so, more often than not, they had no relevance to the well-being of or potential harm to the reader. You could believe it…or not. No further action was required. There is one particular profound fact, however, that—as strange as it might be to some—requires a decision that involves total commitment to belief. To not believe invites personal destiny that is the most devastating imaginable. This is not some imponderable factoid or matter of conjecture as to whether it’s fact or fiction. This is the truth we must believe, or else we’ll face a destiny beyond imagination: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:17–18) The whispers that come in soothing sounds from the creature that tells people to not believe is a million times more sinister than the snarling admonition by Jack Palance in the TV series. Satan says to each human being facing this all-important decision: “Yea…Hath God said?” It is the same deception that brought sin into the world when the serpent whispered those words, and Eve, being deceived, convinced Adam to partake in tasting the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God’s Word says we are lost because of that original sin. Satan seductively says that God didn’t really say that but said something else because man, being God himself, can determine for himself his course toward ultimate destiny. It is true that God created us in His own image. At the same time, He gave us volition (free will) to believe or not to believe. God doesn’t force Himself on us. He didn’t create robots. He wants men and women, boys and girls, to love Him because it is our decision. We can believe it—or not. At the same time, however, there are consequences to that decision, individually. Whether we choose to believe or not believe determines where we will spend eternity. To believe that Jesus came into the world not to condemn the world, but so the world can be saved through Him is the all-important decision we can make. Our choice sets our personal destiny. To believe that Jesus came to seek and save the lost—those in unbelief—and to accept that He is the only remedy for this lost condition is what God requires to cover our sin that condemns us to an eternity apart from His holy presence. Sin cannot enter heaven. That’s why Jesus said that we must be born again—otherwise, we can’t even see the kingdom of heaven, much less enter it. We must believe that Jesus died for us to save us from our lost condition, we must believe that God raised Jesus from death, and we must confess with our mouth that we believe this (Romans 10:9–10). Like it or not—believe it or not—this is the way, the only way to go to heaven either upon death or at the Rapture of all believers. It is more important than ever for Christians—believers—to share this truth with everyone we meet. Conditions proliferating in every direction point to the any-moment removal from planet earth for the believers. We must look through God’s eyes, being one with Him in Spirit, and point to that one Way He accepts for redemption. Jesus addressed His disciple, Thomas: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14: 6) Polls Show That The American People Are Extremely Angry – And They Are About To Get Even Angrier - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/polls-show-that-the-american-people-are-extremely-angry-and-they-are-about-to-get-even-angrier/ This wasn’t supposed to happen. We were promised that once Joe Biden was in the White House that the tremendous anger that was building up in our country would start to subside, but that obviously is not happening. In fact, as you will see below, Americans have been getting even angrier. Needless to say, the stunt that Joe Biden pulled last week is certainly not helping matters. When he visited Boise on Monday, enormous crowds of extremely angry protesters were waiting for him. And everywhere I go on social media this week, I am seeing huge explosions of anger. What in the world is our country going to look like if all of this anger continues to grow? Normally, it is either one side of the political spectrum or the other that is angry at any given time. But here in September 2021, both sides of the political spectrum are very angry. Just check out these stunning numbers from a brand new CNN poll… A new CNN poll finds that 74% of U.S. adults now say they are “very or somewhat angry” about the way things are going in the U.S. today — that includes 88% of Republicans, 70% of independents and even 67% of Democrats. But wait, there’s more. Another 69% of U.S. adults now say that things are going “pretty or very badly” in the country these days — that includes 91% of Republicans, 72% of independents and 49% of Democrats. Those numbers are crazy. Just a few months ago, there was so much optimism, but now the mood of the nation has completely shifted. Surprisingly, that same CNN poll asked a question about illegal immigration, and it found that even most Democrats are concerned about “the movement of undocumented immigrants”… And by the way, illegal immigration is still a concern for many in this nation. The CNN survey also found that 77% of U.S. adults say that it is important that the federal government “stops the movement of undocumented immigrants into the United States.” And the partisan breakdown: 95% of Republicans, 76% of independents and 52% of Democrats agreed. Ever since Joe Biden entered the White House, giant throngs of people have been surging to our southern border, and this has created an unprecedented immigration crisis. Incredibly, even though Biden has decided to impose vaccine mandates on millions upon millions of American citizens, even the White House Press Secretary is admitting that there will be no such requirement for the illegal immigrants that are being let into this country. Members of Congress and their staffs are exempt from Biden’s new requirements as well. But the rest of us are apparently fair game. Today, my wife walked into a store where the employees were openly talking about how they might soon lose their jobs because of these new mandates. Biden is dragging us into full-blown tyranny, and lots of American citizens are going to lose good jobs because of this. Another new poll asked Americans if they think that Biden’s tyrannical decrees are constitutional or not, and the results were absolutely overwhelming… Asked in a new poll by Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group, whether Biden has the constitutional authority to impose that demand, 58.6% said no. Only 29.7% said yes. The poll, taken over the weekend of likely general election voters, has a margin of error of 2.96%. If they get away with this round of mandates, they will undoubtedly try to impose even more. In fact, Dr. Fauci is openly telling us that he is in favor of mandating vaccines for air travel. Fauci does not care about you. The next time that you hear the corporate media heaping praise on him, just remember what he and his organization did to a bunch of beagles. He sees you the same way, and he is going to keep pushing Biden to tighten the screws. Already, we are seeing officials go door to door in some cities. In Washington D.C., there are times when workers will “go back to a house four or five, six times” until someone finally answers the door… Patrick Ashley, with D.C. Health, said the city has a significant outreach program going door to door. “And as a reminder, we knock on doors until we actually get someone to talk to us. And so they’ll go back to a house four or five, six times, if necessary, multiple times of the day,” he said. That should chill you to the core. And what came next in that same article is also extremely chilling… Ashley also said the District is working with Medicare providers to make sure that they’re providing vaccination education. “But you’re right, it is a choice of theirs to make,” Ashley said. “So we’ll continue to do that education through the —” Silverman interrupted Ashley to say: “The president is saying it’s not a choice any more.” The good news is that some red state governors are starting to fight back. For example, Ron DeSantis just announced huge fines for any government entity in his state that attempts to mandate vaccines… Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday fought back against Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates. DeSantis announced cities and counties that force employees to get vaccinated will be fined $5,000 per infraction. “We are here today to make it very clear that we are going to stand for the men and women who are serving. We are going to protect Florida jobs,” DeSantis said during the news conference. “We are not gonna let people be fired because of a vaccine mandate.” Hopefully more red state governors will step up to the plate, because our politicians in Washington are completely and utterly out of control. Not satisfied with angering millions of Americans with these new vaccine mandates, Democrats have also decided that now is the time to dramatically raise taxes… Top earners in New York City could face a combined city, state and federal income tax rate of 61.2%, according to plans being proposed by Democrats in the House of Representatives. The plans being proposed include a 3% surtax on taxpayers earning more than $5 million a year. The plans also call for raising the top marginal income tax rate to 39.6% from the current 37%. How would you feel if 61.2 percent of your income went to paying taxes? Would that make you angry? Of course it would. But our politicians in Washington have to find some way to pay for their insane spending sprees. The federal government ran a 3 trillion dollar budget deficit last fiscal year, and with one month to go they are on track to do it again this fiscal year. Everywhere you turn, there is more bad news. And everywhere you turn, things are starting to spiral out of control. So many of the things that I have been warning about are happening right in front of our eyes, and the months ahead are looking very bleak. If Americans are this angry while things are still relatively stable, what is the mood of this country going to look like once things really start to fall apart? As a nation, we are not emotionally equipped to handle any sort of a major societal collapse, but that is where the road that we are on inevitably leads. These are such troubled times, and I have a feeling that really big surprises are just around the corner. Transgender Bishops & The Fall of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America - PNW Staff - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4957 The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has taken more steps in its rapid decline into apostasy as it installed its first openly transgender bishop in a service held in San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral on Saturday. The Rev. Megan Rohrer will lead one of the church’s 65 synods, overseeing nearly 200 congregations in Northern California and northern Nevada. It was also announced that the bishop-elect should be addressed with the pronouns "they/their". Rohr was the first transgender person to be ordained by the ELCA in 2006 and now makes "history", the pro-LGBT group Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries said. "We anticipate the day when all queer ministry leaders will be called to ministry settings without hindrance or barrier and will be affirmed in their God-given calls". According to this group, there are over 390 queer ministers in the ELCA at this point. The ELCA is known for its strong theological shift in the last 15 years towards an "inclusive" theology, except when it comes to Israel. Last year the Danish Bible Society, which is run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church, came under heavy fire for the Danish "translation" of the Bible that virtually wipes out "Israel" from the New Testament. In the Greek New Testament, the word "Israel" occurs more than 60 times. However, it is found only once in the new Danish version called Bibelen 2020. That's right, just once. And that one occurrence is a direct quote from an Old Testament verse. Otherwise, "Israel" is gone. The reason for this, the society argues, is that Christian readers must not connect "Israel" in the New Testament with the nation of Israel today. The ELCA has long promoted the idea of "replacement theology", also called supersessionism, which essentially teaches that the church has replaced Israel in God's plan. Adherents of replacement theology believe the Jews are no longer God's chosen people, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel. The presiding "bishop" of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, has also expressed her belief that although Hell may exist, it is entirely empty because "God doesn't give up on those who reject Him." Two years ago, over 30,000 ELCA teenagers attended the ELCA's national youth gathering. Popular ELCA pastor Nadia Bolz-Webber (who loves to swear during her sermons and tells her congregants that there is nothing wrong with porn) led the students to say after her "I renounce the lie that queerness is anything other than beauty". At the youth gathering an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a girl was put on stage to promote transgenderism. This past summer the ELCA in convention passed an interfaith resolution stating that we do not know what God thinks of non-Christian religions. A delegate got to the microphone to offer an amendment, saying that we do know because John 14:6 says that Jesus is the only way of salvation. His amendment was voted down by 97 percent. Now the church is raising red flags with its promotion of praying by addressing God as "Mother" instead of Father on its official Facebook page as well as via Twitter: "Mother God, you have fed us with the nourishment of your spiritual food. Raise us up into salvation and rid us of our bitterness, so that we may share the sweetness of your holy word with all the world," the ELCA tweeted as part of their #Bread4theday series of Twitter posts. The tweet has gotten a fair amount of negative attention. Hans Fiene, a conservative pastor who oversees the popular Lutheran Satire YouTube channel, responded with a simple message to people who still value Biblical literacy: "Leave the ELCA," he succinctly replied when retweeting the ELCA post. Thankfully many have headed his call. The ELCA had over five million members when it was first launched in 1988. It currently has 3.3 million members and its decline has been accelerating as it continues to adopt many unbiblical practices. The scriptures warn against associating with such people as fellow believers; "having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away....ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth" 2 Timothy 3:5-7 Daily Jot: Dire prophetic consequences of Biden’s Afghanistan debacle - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Joe Biden’s Afghanistan debacle will have lasting consequences as ISIS-K, al Qaeda and the Taliban are armed with American military equipment, weapons and airplanes compliments of a US President’s incompetence. In addition, Turkey and Iran along with China and Russia are moving in to fill the American void. The aftermath of this botched withdrawal no doubt accelerates the timeline of Biblical end time prophecies. These events are a quickened continuation of the policies of President’s Carter, Clinton, and Obama supporting terrorist sponsors such as Yassir Arafat, the Ayatollahs of Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood and Arab Spring. Not only does this impact Judeo Christian prophecy, but also that of radical Islam. In Ezekiel 38:3-8, the Lord says, “Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: and I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army…Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them…against the mountains of Israel…” These areas mentioned in Ezekiel 38 coincide with modern Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Libya. The Middle East Eye reports Turkey is on the verge of recognizing the Taliban government. Iran has been an ally of the Taliban for years, supplying weapons and training. China is reportedly preparing to recognize the Taliban government. Russia has announced Afghanistan is an enemy no more. While China and Russia are not mentioned in the Bible, they are currently supporters of end time players. All are making a move. ISIS-K’s move is under the Islamic Black Flag. The “K” stands for Khorasan, which in Mohammad’s time covered parts of what is now modern Turkey, Iran and primarily Afghanistan. The Islamic State seeks to create a Caliphate to rule the world and usher in Islam’s end time messiah, the Madi—who has very similar attributes as the Judeo-Christian “beast/antichrist.” ISIS-K’s banner is a black flag, purportedly to fulfill Islam’s Black Flag prophecies. Several Islamic prophets spoke of the black flag from Khorasan as a sign of the end times. One prophecy states: “If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi.” The last Caliph was the Islamic Ottoman Empire headquartered in Turkey, which ruled over most of the Middle East for 623 years, ending abruptly in November 1922. The way that Biden abandoned Afghanistan, which was by his own admission very well planned by his Administration, left a vacuum of prophetic proportions. This vacuum is creating an unholy alliance between Biblical end time players and enablers Russia and China. Biden’s bungle emboldened Islamists who believe they are fulfilling Islamic end time prophecy to usher in their end time Messiah, the Madi. These Islamic prophecies are to be played out by death and destruction to afford the Madi a platform to rid the world of Jews and Christians. While Biden advanced the Biblical prophecy clock by giving a leg up to Turkey and Iran, he also gave Islamists an opportunity to boldly act out what Mohammad and his prophets predicted. Daily Devotion: Won’t You Revive Us Again? - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you? —Psalm 85:6 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/wont-you-revive-us-again/ - Listen It wasn’t easy being a Christian in Ephesus, which was a center of pagan idolatry. In fact, when Paul went there to preach the gospel, a riot broke out. Jesus said to the church of Ephesus, “But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first!” (Revelation 2:4 NLT). The apostle Paul, and possibly the apostle John, had been pastors of the church of Ephesus. But when Jesus was speaking to this church, they were in the second generation of faith. In other words, they were born to parents who came to Jesus right after His earthly ministry. Therefore, this church was living in the aftermath of the first Jesus Movement. As it happens sometimes, that wonderful truth was not passed on to the next generation. So they were losing it. They were missing it. It isn’t always easy to be a Christian in a godless city or state. I’ve been a pastor in Southern California for almost 50 years, and I know people who have left this state and moved elsewhere. But I feel called to live in California. I feel called to preach the gospel here, to teach the Word of God here, and to be a pastor here. When someone tells me they’re leaving California, I jokingly reply, “Well, someone has to stay here to turn the lights off.” But the fact is that I’m staying here to turn the lights on. The psalmist wrote, “Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?” (Psalm 85:6 NLT). The last great American revival took place in California, and it was called the Jesus Movement. I’m praying that we’ll have another Jesus Movement because California influences the rest of the nation. I’m praying we’ll have another spiritual awakening—and I hope you’re praying for that too. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update.
