Matthew 24 and the Pre-Trib Rapture - By Jack Kelley - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/10/11/matthew-24-and-the-pre-trib-rapture-by-jack-kelley/
From the late Jack Kelley 03-15-2014 I’ve received several questions again about various rapture positions. Several of these questions have to do with the claim that in the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24-25), Jesus, in effect, said the Church will have to endure all of the seven years of Daniel’s 70th Week, including the Great Tribulation. In this study, I will attempt to show why He could not have done so. This won’t be a verse-by-verse study of the Olivet Discourse but rather a look at the verses within the passage that people use to support something other than a pre-trib view. If you want a verse-by-verse study, you can go to my four-part series entitled “The End times According To Jesus.” It’s important to begin any study of this nature with a review of the overall context of the Olivet Discourse because it’s the most important factor in understanding what Jesus was really saying and to whom He was saying it. It will also help us see what was going on in the disciples’ minds. It was just a couple of days before the crucifixion. Jesus and His disciples were walking over the Mt. of Olives toward Bethany where they were staying at the home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. The sun was getting low in the late afternoon sky, casting a soft golden light on the white Temple and its surrounding buildings. It was such a beautiful sight, the disciples called it to the Lord’s attention. In reply, Jesus said, “Do you see all these things? I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down” (Matt. 24:2). It was the second time they had heard Jesus say this. The first time was a couple of days earlier on what we now call Palm Sunday when He had told the people that because they didn’t recognize the time of His coming, the city would be destroyed (Luke 19:41-44). He was holding the nation accountable for their failure to understand Daniel 9:24-27 where nearly 6 centuries earlier, the angel Gabriel had told Daniel of a 490-year period that would begin when they received permission to rebuild Jerusalem and culminate at the end of the age. Gabriel told Daniel that the Messiah would come 483 years into that period (Daniel 9:25). Sure enough, here He was, standing in their midst right on time. There’s no indication from the Biblical record that Jesus ever spoke to the disciples about the fact that the coming Church Age would interrupt Daniel’s prophecy and delay its completion by about 2,000 years. In fact, from Acts 1:6, we learn that 40 days after the crucifixion, they expected Him to restore the Kingdom to Israel at that time. It wasn’t until James explained things to them some 20 years later that they understood how Israel was being set aside while the Lord took a people for Himself from among the Gentiles (Acts 15:13-18). A word study on this passage will reveal a hint of the rapture, and shortly thereafter, Paul became the first person on Earth to present a clear teaching on the doctrine of the rapture (1 Cor. 15:51-53, 1 Thes. 4:16-17), saying He was revealing a secret in doing so (1 Cor. 15:51). Therefore, on that afternoon on the Mt. of Olives, all the disciples could have known for sure was that 483 years of the 490-year prophecy of Daniel had passed, there were only 7 years left, and Jesus had just told them that the Temple — all of its buildings and indeed all of Jerusalem — were going to be destroyed. It must have been quite a shock to hear this, and it prompted four of them (Peter, James, John, and Andrew) to come to Him privately for clarification. Comparing Daniel’s prophecy with what the Lord Himself had repeatedly told them, they were beginning to understand that Jesus was about to die, and so the questions they asked Him had to do with when the Temple and the city would be destroyed, what would be the sign of His (second) coming, and of the end of the age, by which I believe they meant the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophecy (Matt. 24:3) These were Jewish men speaking with the Jewish Messiah about the future of Israel, and in His two-chapter answer, Jesus referred to Israel repeatedly but never said a single word about the largely Gentile Church or the amount of time that would pass before the final seven years were completed. After some general observations about things that would happen, Jesus gave them this summary of the future. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time, many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matt. 24:9-14). Not only is there no mention of the Church in this summary, several of the things He said are not even relevant to the Church. They were intended for Israel. For example, it’s Israel that has always been hated by all nations because of Him, it’s Israel that has experienced many turning away from the Jewish faith, it’s Israel that has to remain faithful to the end to be saved, and it’s Israel that has been promised a Kingdom on Earth as a testimony to all nations. What Will Be the Sign of Your Coming? Beginning in Matt. 24:15, Jesus gave the first specific sign of His coming, and once again, it concerned Israel. The abomination of desolation He spoke of requires a Temple, indicating a national presence for Israel in the promised land with people adhering to their Old Covenant relationship with God. We now know that hasn’t been possible for nearly 2,000 years, but the disciples had no idea. The people Jesus told to flee when they see the abomination would be living in Judea, historically the area around Jerusalem. They were told to pray their flight won’t take place in the winter, when the weather in Jerusalem can be bad, or on the Sabbath, because covenant-keeping Jews are uniquely forbidden from traveling on the Sabbath (Matt. 24:15-20). Jesus said the abomination of desolation will be the sign that the Great Tribulation is beginning (Matt. 24:21). This is a time when Jeremiah 30:1-11 tells us two things will happen; all the nations among which the Jews have been scattered will be destroyed, and Israel will be purified in preparation for the promised Kingdom (Jere. 30:11). Jeremiah called this the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jere. 30:7), which is the Old Testament name for the Great Tribulation, and said it will result in David becoming their king (Jere. 30:9), something that hasn’t happened yet. The Church is nowhere in view here, and in fact, both Paul (Romans 5:9, 1 Thes. 1:10) and Jesus (Rev. 3:10) promised that the Church will not be present for this. “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other” (Matt. 24:30-31). Some claim this is a description of the rapture, but if that’s true, it violates the Jewish context of the passage without any explanation or justification. It’s based on the fact that the Greek word for trumpet appears both here and in 1 Cor. 15: 52. But that is not an acceptable reason to tie these verses together, because there are other factors that make them obviously different. One is that in 1 Thes. 4:16-17 the only angel mentioned is “the archangel,” not some unknown number of angels scouring the heavens. Another is that it turns the rapture from a signless, secret event into one that can’t happen until there is a sign for all the world to see, and until the Second Coming is already in progress. It would mean that while all the world is standing there watching Jesus descend from heaven in power and glory, He will suddenly scoop up the Church and return to heaven without completing His trip to Earth. It would also violate His promise, made personally and through Paul, that He will keep us from the hour of trial that’s coming upon the whole world, delivering us from the time and place of God’s wrath. Those who see the rapture here claim that the Church is “the elect” the Lord was talking about. But I disagree. Throughout the Old Testament, Israel was called God’s elect, and since Israel was the topic of their discussion, it’s much more likely that’s who the Lord had in mind. Also, according to Daniel 12:2-3, Israel’s resurrection will take place at the Second Coming making it possible that Matt. 24:31 is referring to Old Testament saints being rounded up to receive their resurrection bodies. Finally, there’s no mention of the Church being “the elect” in the gospels. In the only times the Lord mentioned the Church at all (Matt. 16:18 and Matt. 18:17), He did not use any form of the Greek word for “elect.” The first clear description of the Church as the elect did not happen until Romans 8:33, which Paul wrote over 20 years later. In my opinion, to think that the disciples would have understood the Lord to be referring to the Church in Matt. 24:22 and Matt. 24:31 is an unwarranted assumption. So far, in His answer to the disciples, the Lord has given us an overview of the end times (Matt. 24:3-14) and then a more detailed chronological order; Abomination of Desolation, the Great Tribulation, and the Second Coming (Matt. 24:15-31). And of the End of the Age? Beginning in Matt. 24:36, He turned His attention to things that will happen after He returns. These will signal that the end of the age has come, and they provide His answer to their final question. We know this because of the specific way in which He identified the day of His coming as “that day and hour” (Matt. 24:36) and “at the coming of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24.36, 39). He was speaking of the day of His return. Some people say that no one will be eating and drinking, or marrying and giving in marriage before the Second Coming like they were in the days of Noah. They say the terrible effects of the Great Tribulation will have made that impossible. Therefore Matt. 24:36-39 has to be referring to the rapture. But I think they’re missing the point. First of all, people have found a way to socialize and get married in the worst of times. But more importantly, I think the Lord’s point here was that just as people had no idea the world was about to end in the days leading up to the flood, no one will know the world is about to end in the days leading up to the Second Coming. And notice how the Lord compared “the days before the flood” in Noah’s time to “at the coming” of the Son of Man rather than the days before His coming. The worst time ever to come upon mankind will have just ended. Man’s natural tendency after any catastrophe is to believe things will return to normal, but when they actually see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with power and great glory, they will finally know things will never be the same again. That’s why they will mourn when they see him coming (Matt. 24:30). “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left” (Matt. 24:40-41). These verses are often used to support a rapture after the Great Tribulation. Aside from the fact that seeing them this way violates the context and chronology of the Lord’s message, as well as His promise to the Church, there’s a translation problem here. The Greek word translated “taken” means to “receive unto oneself,” and a form of this word provides the clue of the rapture I mentioned in Acts 15:13-18 where it’s translated “take for himself” (Acts 15:14). It literally means “to take for the purpose of carrying away.” Before the Lord turns back to Israel to fulfill the missing 7 years of Daniel’s prophecy, He will take for Himself a people from among the Gentiles and carry us away. So the word “taken” in Matt. 24:40-41 is not a problem, but the word translated “left” means to “put away” and was often used in the context of a divorce. Rather than being a description of the rapture, where Paul’s definitive teachings never even mention unbelievers, let alone their disposition, these two verses are a summary of the Sheep and Goat judgment (Matt. 25:31-46). Both take place after the Second Coming, and both involve the final destiny of believers and unbelievers who will survive the Great Tribulation and live to see the Lord’s return. Believers will be received into the kingdom, but unbelievers will be put away into a place of eternal punishment. The Lord finished his explanation of things that will mark the end of the age with several parables that describe the judgments He will conduct after He returns. I devoted an entire study to the subject of these parables that you can read in my two-part posting, “Understanding the Olivet discourse Parables.” For the purpose of this study, let’s just review the clues as to their timing to help you see they cannot be meant for the Church. Matt. 24:29 begins “Immediately after the distress of those days” and refers to the end of the Great Tribulation. Matt. 24:30 signals the Second Coming, with more detail contained in Matt. 24:36-44, including the first warnings that people on Earth will not know the exact day or hour of the Second Coming in advance. I believe this is due to the fact that both the Sun and Moon will have gone dark (Matt. 24:29), and it will be difficult to keep track of time. Matt. 24:45-51 contains the parable of the faithful and wicked servants and describes how the Lord will deal with them “when He returns.” It ends with another warning that people won’t know the day or hour of His return in advance (Matt. 24:50). Matt. 25:1-13 is the parable of the Ten Virgins (bridesmaids). The opening sentence begins with “at that time.” Everything from Matt. 24:30 forward has been about the Second Coming, so the phrase “at that time” refers to the time following the Second Coming. There are many other reasons why this parable cannot be about the Church that are detailed in the study I referenced above. Like the others, this parable ends with a similar warning about the unknown day and hour of the Second Coming (Matt. 25:13). Matt. 25:14-30 is the Parable of the Talents. By the opening word “again,” we know that the Lord was referring to the same time as the previous ones. And in Matt. 25:31-46, the Parable of the Sheep and Goats gives us the clearest indication of timing yet. It begins with, “When the Son of Man comes in all His glory, and all the angels with Him …” As I pointed out earlier, it’s the judgment of tribulation survivors, some of whom will be believers and will be welcomed into the Millennial Kingdom, while the others will be taken away to eternal punishment (Matt. 25:46). The Church is the Bride of Christ, the most highly regarded group in the history of humankind, and the one with whom Jesus is closest. Failing to mention us even once in His signature discussion of the end times can only be explained by the fact that throughout the Olivet Discourse, the Lord was focused on Israel and not the Church. Therefore, any attempt to use this passage in reference to the rapture of the Church requires taking portions of it out of context, and in some cases, a reinterpretation of the text is necessary as well. The Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church remains the only position that is consistent with a literal interpretation of the Scriptures. You can almost hear the footsteps of the Messiah. Why Is the Rapture Index Not Higher? – Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ One of the most common questions Terry and I get about the site is people wanting to know why the Rapture Index doesn’t go any higher. It has peaked in the upper 180s for several years. The general thinking is that as we get closer to the tribulation hour and end-time activity increases, the index should move higher and higher. Also, Jesus said His return for the Church would be proceeded by birth pangs that obviously increase with time. When I designed the Rapture Index, I had to deal with predicting an event of which the Lord said we would not know the exact date. I see the RI as more of a speedometer than an actual index. We are traveling 188, which means we will arrive at the rapture much faster than we would if it was at 100. The RI has become locked in a very tight range. It has not dropped below 175 for well over a decade. The record low of 58 on December 12, 1993, now seems like an impossible achievement. I don’t think the RI will ever be able to decline below 150. We just have too much activity to allow for such a move. The RI used to be a lot more complex. Each category had two readings. The one to five rating was based on the simple occurrence of news events that related to the category. The second one was based on the importance of each category and the significance of news events. After a few years, I realized there was no real difference between the two ratings, so I discontinued the one that was more complex. Most people don’t realize that certain events were once very uncommon. I lived most of my adult life not knowing how a tsunami worked. There is one that hit in 1976, but as a kid, I wasn’t really into the news. Many people lived their whole life without reading about a tsunami. After a tsunami hit Japan in 1896 and killed 27,000 people, there was not another major tsunami for 80 years. The span between the great Lisbon and Krakatoa tsunami is 128 years. When the Boxer Day tsunami struck in 2004 and killed 240,000 people, it would be logical to assume that we would never live to see one of equal magnitude. Just six years later, Japan was hit by a massive tsunami that killed 27,000 people. The Japanese people thought they were safe behind their 30-foot sea walls, but the walls were no match for waves that reached as high as 100 feet. One factor that holds down the RI is that some of the categories conflict with each other. When we have more droughts, there tend to be less floods. In 2019 China had a huge drought. The next two years, China was hit by major floods. When we have a financial crash, the Economy and Financial Unrest categories will go up and the Oil Supply/Price and Inflation categories tend to go down. One thing I’ve learned from operating the RI is that there is no constant increase of end-time-related activity for every category. We could have a record number of events one year and be followed by a period of record low activity. In the year 2011, several records for tornadoes were broken in the US. The next year a record was set for the fewest number of tornadoes in North America. A few years back, we set a record for the longest period without having a hurricane hit the US. Lately, every year has had at least one major hurricane strike our nation. There are some categories that spend most of the time with low ratings. The devil doesn’t get much love because Satanism is usually rated a one or two. About four years ago, it did manage to pop up to a rating of four as Satanists had meetings and erected statues that generated headlines. Another factor limiting an increase in the RI is that the category is maxed out. It happened many, many times that I accessed the index to raise the rating of a category and it was already at a five rating. We have a few categories that will likely never drop down a four rating. Our nation’s debt and the crime rate seem set to be a problem all the way up to the rapture. It is possible that the RI will push into the 190s right before we are taken home. The biggest takeaway from the index is that it’s now at a constant high rating, which is a strong warning that the event we were told to watch for is drawing very near. “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13). The Era of Cheap Food And Cheap Gasoline Is Over – Michael Snyder – http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-era-of-cheap-food-and-cheap-gasoline-is-over/ All of our lifestyles are about to change in a major way, but the vast majority of the population still does not understand what is coming. Throughout our entire lives, we have always been able to depend on a couple of things. There would always be cheap gasoline to fuel our vehicles and there would always be mountains of cheap food at the grocery store. No matter who was in the White House and no matter what else was going on in the world, those two things always remained the same. Unfortunately, those days are now over and they aren’t coming back. We have entered the greatest energy crisis that any of us have ever experienced, and it isn’t going to go away any time soon. So you might as well get used to high gas prices. Earlier this month, brand new all-time record highs were set all over southern California… Los Angeles-Long Beach – $6.46 (Record high) Orange County – $6.42 (Record high Saturday) Ventura County – $6.40 Riverside County – $6.33 (Record high) San Bernardino County $6.32 But that isn’t the real problem. The real problem is with natural gas. Thanks to the war in Ukraine, supplies of natural gas in Europe have become extremely tight, and this has pushed prices into the stratosphere. Needless to say, this is going to greatly affect food productions in the months ahead. According to Bloomberg, over two-thirds of all fertilizer production capacity in Europe has already been shut down due to soaring natural gas costs… Europe’s fertilizer crunch is deepening with more than two-thirds of production capacity halted by soaring gas costs, threatening farmers and consumers far beyond the region’s borders. This is an absolutely massive story, but hardly anyone in the United States is covering it. Global fertilizer production is going to be greatly reduced, and that is going to have very serious implications for agricultural production all over the world… “Nitrogen plant shutdowns in Europe are not simply a problem in Europe,” she said. “Reduced supply on the scale seen this week not only raises the marginal cost of production of nitrogen fertilizers, but will also tighten the global market, putting pressure on plant nutrients’ availability in Europe and beyond.” We’re already seeing prices elsewhere rise again. The price of the common nitrogen fertilizer urea in New Orleans rose over 20% in weekly prices Friday, the most since March, a few weeks after the war began, according to Green Markets. I know that fertilizer may not be the most exciting topic for a lot of people, but the truth is that approximately half the global population would starve if we didn’t have any… In fact, it’s estimated that nitrogen fertilizer now supports approximately half of the global population. In other words, Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch — the pioneers of this technological breakthrough — are estimated to have enabled the lives of several billion people, who otherwise would have died prematurely, or never been born at all. Let that paragraph sink in for a moment. The only way we can even come close to feeding everyone on the planet is by using vast quantities of fertilizer, but now fertilizer plants all over Europe are being forced to shut down because of the price of natural gas. As long as this global energy crisis persists, the global food crisis will also persist. Russia is normally the largest exporter of natural gas in the entire world, and an end to the war in Ukraine would go a long way toward solving our current problems. But there isn’t going to be an end to the war in Ukraine. Once again, western leaders are assuring us that the war will not end until Russia is forced out of every inch of Ukrainian territory. That includes Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea. Of course the Russians would use tactical nukes long before we ever get to that point. And once the Russians use tactical nukes, the west will do the same. As it currently stands, there is no “off ramp” for this war. Instead, we are simply counting down the days until it goes nuclear. I am sorry to tell you that, but it is the truth. If the American people truly understood what was at stake, there would be massive peace protests all over the nation right now. Meanwhile, the worst multi-year megadrought in 1,200 years continues to absolutely ravage agricultural production in the western half of the United States. A reporter from FOX recently visited the cornfields of Wayne County, Nebraska and what he discovered is extremely chilling… “I’m standing in the middle of a cornfield that, if this was a normal year or in other words, if the corn was growing the way it was supposed to be, you wouldn’t even really be able to see me right now,” FOX Business’ Connell McShane reported from Wakefield, Nebraska. “It would be way up above my head. But now I look at this, maybe knee-high at best.” McShane visited field after field in Wayne County and found the same short stalks with very sparse ears. Over 99% of that county is in exceptional drought. This drought has been going on for years and years. And it just keeps getting worse. On the west coast, we are being warned that production of tomatoes, garlic and onions will be very disappointing this year due to the drought. As a result, prices are going to go much higher in 2023… In addition to tomatoes, other crops like garlic and onion are also expected to be impacted. “What you’re seeing harvested this summer that really hasn’t even hit the grocery shelf is a 25% increase in the cost of the product to the processors — the canners, the buyers downstream,” California State Board of Food and Agriculture President Don Cameron told Reuters. “The onions and garlic have already been negotiated for 2023 with another 25% increase in price.” This is really happening. Food prices may seem high to you right now, but the truth is that this is the lowest that they are going to get. The cost of living is becoming extremely oppressive, and countless people out there are really struggling to make it from month to month. Earlier today, I came across a tweet from a 47-year-old lawyer that really hammered this point home… -20 years ago, working as a server, I lived in a corner 1 bdrm apt downtown with amazing water views for $700/month. -A similar apt now $3,600/month, more than 5x as much. -As a lawyer at age 47 I am unable to afford living in the apartment I did at age 27 while waiting tables Sadly, what we have been through so far is just the beginning. The cost of gasoline is going to continue to go up. The cost of natural gas is going to continue to go up. The cost of food is going to continue to go up. In fact, the cost of just about everything is going to continue to go up. The artificially-inflated lifestyles that we were able to enjoy for decades are now disappearing, and there is a tremendous amount of pain on the horizon. We were warned that this would happen, and now a day of reckoning is here. I would encourage you to prepare accordingly. The Ability To See The Invisible – By JB Hixson - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-ability-to-see-the-invisible/ Recently I was moving several boxes of books from our basement to the garage. As I made repeated trips up and down the stairs, it seemed as if each load became heavier and heavier. At one point, while I was resting between loads to catch my breath, it occurred to me that life is a lot like that. The burdens of life can be heavy at times, can’t they? This is especially true for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Perhaps that is why Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Yet, even Christians face heavy burdens at times. The English phrase “heavy laden” in this verse is one Greek word, phortidzo. It is where we get our English word “fortitude,” which refers to the ability to bear pain or adversity. Do you ever feel like you are bearing a heavy burden? How do we cope when the load seems unbearable? When you strip away all of the advice from self-help gurus, Christian living books, motivational speakers, and discipleship training programs, the successful spiritual life comes down to one important paradox: the ability to see the invisible. Whether or not we can see with our eyes closed will determine the degree of confidence, joy, and peace we find in our individual lives. Paul had this to say about the difficulties of life. Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) Notice that Paul uses two words in this passage that seem contrary to human experience. First, he says that the trials and tribulations of life are “light.” Second, he says they are “for a moment.” Now I don’t know about you, but when I’m going through a difficult trial it seldom seems light, and it rarely seems momentary. Trials often seem heavy, with no end in sight. So, what does Paul mean? Paul is looking at life from an eternal perspective. To him, everything we go through on earth, no matter how difficult or weighty it may seem, is only a small part of a much bigger picture. Our life on earth is only a tiny speck on the timeline of eternity. Jesus taught the same concept in His Sermon on the Mount when He challenged His disciples to “store up treasures in heaven.” In other words, we are to live today in light of eternity. The pagan, humanistic approach to life is to live for the moment. Yet, the spiritually mature approach to life is to recognize that there is always a much greater purpose at hand than what we can see with the naked eye. The true mark of spiritual maturity is the capacity to see the invisible. Spiritual wisdom brings with it the uncanny ability to understand what is going on in your life from God’s perspective. You may not have all the answers. You may not always know why. But deep in your heart, you are confident that “all things work together for good to those who love God.” The next time you find yourself faced with a difficult situation, try closing your eyes for a moment and focusing on the invisible. It is definitely there; you just have to look for it. And once you see it, all of the other troubles of life get dimmer and dimmer and dimmer. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Bureaucratic Medicine - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com A study of nearly 31,000 people conducted by Moderna and Kaiser Permanente found that those who received three Moderna mRNA doses of COVID-19 vaccine were more likely to contract COVID than unvaccinated people. The study also concluded that the four-dose vaccine effectiveness disappeared beyond 90 days altogether. In a separate study, Swedish researchers also concluded that vaccine effectiveness turned negative, “indicating that vaccinated individuals experienced a higher risk of infection than those unvaccinated.” In short, these studies confirm what many medical doctors have been saying since the government and business mandates of the COVID vaccines. But it gets worse. On October 7, Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo recommended against males 18-39 receiving the mRNA vaccines. A vaccine safety evaluation by Florida’s Department of Health concluded “there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks…Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.” Meanwhile, Member of the European Parliament, Rob Roos, asked Pfizer President of International Developed Markets Janine Small during a COVID hearing, “Was the Pfizer COVID vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market? Did we know about stopping immunization before it entered the market?” Small responded, “No … You know, we had to…really move at the speed of science to know what is taking place in the market.” Roos, of the Netherlands, argued in a Twitter video Monday, “Millions of people worldwide felt forced to get vaccinated because of the myth that ‘you do it for others.’ Now, this turned out to be a cheap lie” and “should be exposed.” They had to “really move at the speed of science to know what is taking place in the market.” Can you believe this? The speed of science should be dictated by the process of science, not government bureaucrats and big pharmaceutical companies that have political and monetary agendas. Doctors and scientists who were pointing out these dangers and inadequacies of the mRNA vaccines were censored. Many lost their jobs and licenses to practice. You were told that the vaccines were “safe and effective.” Studies and are now confirming that narrative as a lie. Christ said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” When bureaucrats make medical decisions for entire nations and ignore input from dissenting opinions, it’s not only deadly dangerous, it’s, say it with me…Stupidocrisy. That was the case with Saul, who later became the apostle Paul. He had many sins to overcome and forget, but he wrote, “Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us” (Philippians 3:13–14 NLT). Maybe you’ve thought, “I’ve done some horrible things. It’s so hard for me to accept God’s forgiveness.” Imagine how hard it must have been for Paul to have his horrible sins on his conscience, but he discovered that he could find intimacy with the God he had known only in a cold, distant way through dead legalism and orthodoxy. Writing to the Christians in Rome, Paul said, “So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father’” (Romans 8:15 NLT). The English equivalent for the word “Abba” is “Daddy” or “Papa.” Paul was thus developing intimacy with God. That’s because prayer characterized his life. We can’t help but notice as we read his epistles that so many of them begin or end with beautiful prayers. Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6 NLT). To the Christians in Colosse, he said, “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart” (Colossians 4:2 NLT). Paul was a man of prayer. Does prayer characterize your life? It ought to. If you want to finish well in the spiritual race, then you need to learn how to pray. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity! America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ.
