Misunderstanding The “Great Escape” - By Jack Kinsella - https://www.raptureready.com/2021/08/24/misunderstanding-the-great-escape-by-jack-kinsella/
One of the principal misunderstandings concerning the Rapture revolves around its purpose. Critics of a pre-Tribulation Rapture deride it as some pie-in-the-sky ‘Great Escape’ for Christians living in the last days. There is no such promise of ‘escape’ from tribulation, they argue, and (correctly) point out the Bible’s promise that “in this world ye shall have tribulation.” So the pretribulational hope of a ‘Great Escape’ is not only delusional, it is unscriptural [they say]. The fact is, if the pretribulational hope WAS for a ‘Great Escape’ from tribulation, they would be correct. There is NO promise that the Church will escape tribulation, but there is an iron-clad promise that the Church will not go through the seven years of tribulation described by Jeremiah as the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” or outlined by Daniel as Israel’s “70th Week.” There are several reasons for a pretribulational Rapture, not the least of which is the purpose of the Tribulation in God’s unfolding Plan for the ages. The purpose of the seven-year Tribulation Period is two-fold. The first reason is to fulfill Daniel’s prophecy of the 70 Weeks. The angel told Daniel that: “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy” (Daniel 9:24). Note there are six elements to the fulfillment of this prophecy. First, to finish Israel’s sin – the rejection of the Messiah at the First Advent. Then there is a skip forward in time to His Second Advent, at which time an end will be made of sin; reconciliation will be made for Israel’s iniquity; everlasting righteousness will be introduced to Israel; Israel’s Scriptures will be vindicated by the fulfillment of all prophecy; and finally, the return of Christ at the conclusion of the war of Armageddon, at which time He will be anointed and will take His seat at the Throne of David. Between the First and Second Advents, there is the Church Age, a ‘mystery’ unrevealed to the Hebrew prophets. That is why Daniel’s outline of 490 years of Israeli history doesn’t anticipate a gap between the ‘cutting off of the Messiah’ at the end of the sixty-nine weeks of years and the confirmation of the covenant by the antichrist at the onset of the 70th (Daniel 9:27). From Daniel’s perspective, it is an unbroken narrative of what would befall ‘his people’ (the Jews) and ‘his holy city’ (Jerusalem), culminating with the ‘anointing of the Most Holy’ at the conclusion of the 70th week and the ushering in of Isaiah’s Millennial Kingdom. There is no role set aside for the Church in prophecy during the 70th Week since it is reserved for Israel’s national redemption and their acceptance of the Messiah. The Church has, by definition, already accepted the Messiah and was redeemed at the Cross. The second purpose Scripture gives for the Tribulation Period is that it is a period of judgment against those who reject Christ and embrace the antichrist. Since Christians who accept Christ were already judged at the Cross, there is no role set aside for the Church in the judgments pronounced because, “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts” (Revelation 9:21). *Repentance is a necessary condition of salvation. It is that repentance that causes us to seek forgiveness at the Cross in the first place. Since believers in the Church Age became believers by repenting, there is no purpose for bringing the judgment of an unrepentant world on the Church. *[To clarify, Jack said in another article: “The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He isn’t going to change His mind. You need to change yours.” The definition of repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action.] The Rapture isn’t a ‘Great Escape,’ contrary to popular belief. The Rapture occurs when the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is removed with the Church to allow the onset of the 7-year period of unrestrained evil that occurs during the Tribulation (2nd Thessalonians 2:7). The Rapture is the Blessed Hope of the Church, but its primary purpose is not so much a ‘rescue mission’ as it is a necessary function of the withdrawal of the Holy Spirit’s ministry of restraining evil. Since we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, when the Restrainer is withdrawn, so are we since we are His vessels. Therefore, it is certain to conclude that the Church won’t be here for the Tribulation itself since withdrawing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit from the believing Church would leave them spiritually defenseless at a time of maximum need, something Jesus promised He would never do. Jesus said we could trust Him that He would never forsake His Church, and His Church is defined as being composed of believers who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you FOREVER. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:16-17). But there is no reason to conclude the Church will be Raptured for the purpose of providing a ‘Great Escape’ for, as I said, the Rapture is necessary to the withdrawal of the Restrainer rather than a rescue mission to the Church. “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John 14:18). Christians have suffered in every generation and continue to suffer persecution and death for their faith today in places like Vietnam, China, Sudan, and most of the Islamic world. There is no promise to the Church of the last days for a ‘rescue,’ but rather, the Rapture is the fulfillment of an EXISTING Promise Jesus made that the Holy Spirit would Personally indwell believers and guide us in all truth ‘forever.’ “In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3). For believers, our finite understanding of ‘forever’ begins with Pentecost and continues to the Rapture, at which point ‘forever’ takes on its eternal meaning for all believers covered under the Covenant between Jesus and the Church. “Wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18). Differences Between the Church and Israel – Part 1 – Olivier Melnick - https://www.newantisemitism.com/antisemitism/differences-between-the-church-and-israel-part-1 Spread the love At a time when nearly two-thirds of all Christians believe that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s program, it is very important to define who is Israel and what makes the Church or Body of Messiah. Are they the same? Does one eventually replace or supersedes the other? Are they the same but during two different eras of humankind? First, let’s look at a few definitions before we can explore the topic because our conclusion will depend greatly on how we view the Bible and how we read it AND interpret it. Exegesis is of great import. Exegesis means “exposition or explanation.” Biblical exegesis involves the examination of a particular text of Scripture in order to properly interpret it, and as such, is a part of the process of hermeneutics. Biblical hermeneutics is the study of the principles of interpretation concerning the books of the Bible. One can have a literal approach to the Scriptures or a more allegorical approach, leaving room for different interpretations over time, by various people. I don’t understand how one could possibly look at the Bible and allegorize passages right and left, simply because at first glance they don’t seem to make sense. If the Bible is God’s love letter and instruction to us, it has to mean the same thing to all people, otherwise, the relative truth found on its pages will vary greatly and chaos will proceed from that confused approach. The key is in our interpretation and good interpretation requires study–something that many people are not properly equipped to do or simply do not want to take the time to do. This being said, there is still room in the Bible for figures of speech as long as they are interpreted methodically and consistently. Years ago, theologian David L. Cooper (1886-1965) came up with a definition that has become known as “the golden rule of interpretation.” He said, “When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise.” From that, we can safely say that A TEXT WITHOUT A CONTEXT IS A PRETEXT. Furthermore, it is when we look at the Bible out of its historical/grammatical context that we derive this faulty theological approach to the Scriptures known as Replacement Theology, transferring all blessings and promises made by God to physical, ethnic Israel to the Christian Church, often seen as the “New Israel.” Keeping the proper approach, we must ask ourselves some fundamental questions about the Church and Israel: Is there biblical proof that the Church has replaced Israel? Are the Church and Israel two separate entities? If so, what are their individual purposes? Is Replacement Theology Dangerous? How different are the Church and Israel? Let’s look at 5 differences between the Church and Israel, found in the Bible. Let’s allow the word of God to speak for itself. 1a. Israel is the Wife of Jehovah Isaiah 54:5-6 “For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth. 6 “For the Lord has called you, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,” … No weapon that is formed against you will prosper. 1b. The Church is the Bride of Messiah Ephesians 5:22-25 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Messiah also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 24 But as the church is subject to Messiah, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Messiah also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, …32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Messiah and the church. 2a. Israel Gave Birth to the Messiah Revelation 12:1-5 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; 2 and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. …5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. 2b. Messiah Gave Birth to the Church Matthew 16:18 I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. 3a. Messiah Rescues Israel at the End of the Tribulation Matthew 23:39 For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Zechariah 12:10 “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. 3b. Messiah Rescues the Church at the Rapture John 14:1-3 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 4a. God’s Program with Israel Started in Genesis 12 Genesis 12:1-3 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” 4b. God’s Program with the Church Started in Acts 2 Acts 2:1-4 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. 5a. Israel is a Nation Deuteronomy 4:6-8 So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ 7 For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him? 8 Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today? 5b. The Church is Made of many Nations Acts 2:5 Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven….9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya around Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them in our own tongues speaking of the mighty deeds of God.” These are five biblical reasons why we must keep the Church and Israel separate in the Bible and in God’s program. Doing otherwise is not doing justice to the Scriptures, and when we start looking at Israel and the Jewish people as having been replaced by the Church, it is a very short road to anti-Israel sentiment, and it ends up making believers feel like they are justified in ostracizing and even demonizing Israel. A non-literal approach to God’s counsel leads to Replacement Theology which is very fertile soil for antisemitism. Christians beware! Next week we will look at five more biblical reasons. Nearing Midnight: “Only on evil” – Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Looking around today’s cultural/societal landscape, I searched my cerebral, biblical files of recollection for one brief reference that might best speak to where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. The thought almost immediately landed upon things surrounding the book of Genesis—particularly, on the following: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5) We don’t have to stretch our powers of observation very far to grasp that we are indeed in a time that this scriptural pronouncement fits. But the above reference seemed still a bit too general in its indictment. I searched for refinement of that judgment through God’s Holy Word. Next these words came to mind: God hates certain things. As a matter of fact, there are seven things He specifically hates: These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:16–19) We can look at these one at a time in order to determine if they fit the cultural/societal characteristics of our current national environment. A PROUD LOOK With the possibility that some might be offended, I question whether this generation is affected and infected by this particular characteristic. The Internet and social media sites give this generation countless venues via which to put forth pridefulness. Many present “proud looks” on their accounts, sometimes boasting and even being untruthful about their accomplishments. A LYING TONGUE During the past years, we’ve witnessed an entire news media that has put forth some of the most egregious lies imaginable. Our society and culture, although wise to the lies being perpetrated by mainstream media and the many alternate websites, nonetheless are swayed in what direction to take. They are easily persuaded by the smooth, lying tongues of media masters. A SCHEMING, WICKED HEART This can be seen by organizations and political office holders that champion anti-God ideologies in order to win votes, thus to feather their personal nests with large contributions from those who buy their influence. These concoct and pass legislation that often goes against God’s order for mankind—for example, changing laws that formerly governed perverted activity, and even pedophile activity to make such evil acceptable rather than wicked and even illegal. FEET THAT RUN SWIFTLY TOWARD MISCHIEF I can see this in those within America’s political processes who construct total fabrication against their opponents. And the next thing God hates is akin to it. A FALSE WITNESS OF SPEAKING LIES Again, we see this through the political process. And, of course, this sort of devious activity takes place throughout the business world, and is rampant today in the personal sense. SOWING DISCORD We’ve watched as the nation has been torn apart. America is split almost down the middle in political ideology. I’m convinced that the educational system has worked feverishly to bring about this schism. The nation has, in this sense, sown to the wind. It is soon to reap the proverbial whirlwind, because of allowing the anti-God educators to plant seeds of discord. A house so discordant, so divided, cannot stand, Jesus said. Perhaps you noticed that we skipped one particular matter God hates. I believe it to be the most troubling societal/cultural sin of all, one that’s especially egregious in the Almighty’s holy eyes. HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD Is there any among us who are innocent? All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, the Bible says. So, who are the “innocent” referenced in this condemnation? For the Loving God to say He “hates” is perhaps an infinite concept that’s beyond my ability to grasp. But I believe that babies in the womb and very small children fit this category of “innocent.” This nation is, I think it can be accurately said, among the guiltiest of shedding innocent blood, of slaughtering tiny innocents, even in the place they should be most protected—in their mothers’ wombs. But now this sin God hates so much becomes even more horrendous, as the following news item validates. Various abortion programs at the University of Pittsburgh have been getting the school slammed in recent days, with accusations it assembled a tissue bank holding hearts, legs and brains from unborn babies who were cut up and stored. But one of the more horrific accusations has now come from the Centers for Medical Progress, which charged that the organs are removed from the unborn babies’ bodies before they are dead. The CMP explained that the school has admitted that “ischemia time” that it cited in an application for federal tax money for its abortion program “refers to the time after the tissue collection procedure.” The CMP explained, “Ischemia starts when the organ (the kidneys primarily in Pitt’s GUDMAP project) is cut off from blood circulation. The NIH defines ischemia as ‘lack of blood supply to a part of the body.’ The university states the fetal organs do not undergo ischemia—lose their blood supply—until ‘after the tissue collection procedure.’” Officials in 1 state altered spoiled ballots to count them, the report says. “This means the organs are still receiving blood supply from the fetal heartbeat during the ’tissue collection,'” CMP explained. “Pitt is now admitting to news media that the aborted babies are still alive at the time their kidneys are cut out for NIH grant money,” explained CMP chief David Daleiden. (Bob Unruh, “Race-based aborted baby-parts operations reminiscent of Kermit Gosnell scandal,” WND, August 5, 2021) Jesus said that the time just before His Second Advent will be just as it was in the days of Noah. The antediluvians’ thoughts were “only on evil continually.” At this moment, babies—the only truly “innocent” among us, because they are not accountable for their sinful nature at this point—are being slaughtered by the thousands. Their blood cries out to the God of Heaven who loves them. Can it be any wonder that He literally “hates” this most heinous evil imaginable? Abortion is the nation’s number-one national sin, I am convinced. The souls of these tiny, innocent ones must even at this moment—like those martyrs described in Revelation chapter 6—be crying out. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? (Revelation 6:10) This world system that eagerly sheds innocent blood is on the cusp of paying an eternal price for this wickedness. But the individual sinner, even who has been involved in the satanically driven abortion industry, can escape the wrath of God to come. Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 10:13” “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Empty Shelves, Severe Shortages And Widespread Crop Failures Are Ahead In The Fall Of 2021 - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/empty-shelves-severe-shortages-and-widespread-crop-failures-are-ahead-in-the-fall-of-2021/ The overall mood of the nation is becoming increasingly sour with each passing day. The pandemic seems like it is never going to end, the drama unfolding in Afghanistan is one of the greatest embarrassments in modern American history, and Joe Biden’s approval rating is sinking like a rock as it becomes clear that he is completely and utterly incompetent. Unfortunately, average Americans will soon have even more to be stressed out about. As we head into the fall months, our store shelves are going to be getting emptier, shortages of products will become more widespread, and it looks like we could potentially have a very bad harvest season. I realize that I packed a lot of really bad news into that paragraph, and some of you may be tempted to think that I am exaggerating. So let me take this one step at a time. First, I would like to talk about crop failures. According to the Department of Agriculture, 63 percent of all U.S. spring wheat is in “poor or very poor condition”. Last year at this time, that number was sitting at just 6 percent… Extreme heat is baking most of the U.S. North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska all contain areas of extreme drought, according to data from the U.S. Drought Monitor. North Dakota and Minnesota, in particular, are experiencing near-record lows in soil moisture, according to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. As a result, many crops planted this spring are wilting. Some 63% of the U.S. spring wheat crop is in poor or very poor condition, versus 6% at this time last year, according to Agriculture Department data. So does this mean that agricultural production will be below expectations? Yes. In fact, the USDA is now projecting that levels of corn, wheat and soybeans will all be “at their lowest level since 2013”… The poor weather has caused the USDA to scale back its expectations for U.S. crop production in 2021—which, in turn, is causing domestic inventories to dwindle. In the USDA’s latest monthly supply and demand report, the agency pegged ending stocks for corn, wheat, and soybeans all at their lowest level since 2013. Of course this comes at a time when we are also seeing crop failures in other key areas all over the globe. For example, we are currently witnessing one of the worst droughts that South America has ever experienced. Agricultural production has been absolutely devastated in Brazil, Argentina, and elsewhere, and this is going to have a huge impact all over the planet. What this means is that global hunger is going to continue to grow rapidly, and this is extremely bad news because global hunger has already been rising at an extremely aggressive rate… Earlier this month, the humanitarian organization Oxfam released alarming statistics that measured the state of the food crisis after one year of the pandemic. Every minute, eleven people on the planet die of hunger. The number of people experiencing famine-like conditions globally has increased by six times in the past year. Many Americans may not care about starving people on the other side of the globe, but they are going to care very much when their Christmas celebrations “are ruined” because of severe shortages in the stores. While she was in Singapore this week, Kamala Harris specifically warned us about what is coming… “The stories that we are now hearing about the caution that if you want to have Christmas toys for your children, it might now be might be the time to start buying them, because the delay may be many, many months,” she said. “So across the board, people are experiencing the issue. And, of course, the climate crisis is fueling a lot of this. When we look at the stronger typhoons that have disrupted shipping lanes and sea-level rise, which threatens port infrastructure as an example. So these are the many issues that are causing these disruptions,” Harris said. Wow. When Kamala Harris starts sounding just like The Economic Collapse Blog, then you know that it is really late in the game. Even now, empty shelves and widespread shortages are being reported all over the nation. Susan Duclos over at ANP has done an excellent job of documenting what is going on out there. People from around the country have been sending photos to her, and this has helped her readers to understand that this is not a phenomenon that is just limited to a few areas. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. The holiday season is expected to greatly exacerbate the shortages, and it is being reported that “new problems are arising weekly”… Grocery-store chains are still battling supply challenges that some executives said are as bad as what they saw in spring 2020, when hoarding left holes in stocks of some staples. Industry executives say new problems are arising weekly, driven by shortages of labor and raw materials. Groceries including frozen waffles and beverages remain scarce as some food companies anticipate disruptions lasting into 2022. A wider range of products is running short and logistical challenges are compounding for many retailers. Grocery stores are ordering more food like crazy, but we have gotten to a point where the largest U.S. food distributors simply cannot fulfill all of the orders… According to Bloomberg, some of the largest U.S. food distributors are “reporting difficulties in fulfilling orders as a lack of workers weighs on the supply chain.” Take distribution giant Sysco, North America’s largest wholesale food distributor, which is turning away customers in some areas where demand is exceeding capacity. Worse, food inflation is about to soar: the company said prices for key goods such as chicken, pork and paper products for takeout packaging are climbing amid tight supplies. In particular, production has slowed for high-demand, labor-intensive cuts like bacon, ribs, wings and tenders, Sysco said. And if intermediate and final wholesale prices are “rising”, just wait until they emerge on the consumer side. Needless to say, my regular readers are not surprised by any of this, because they were warned in advance that all of this was coming. But for most of the U.S. population, the new reality that we are entering into will come as a major shock. They had been promised a new golden era of prosperity, but instead what they are going to get is a nightmare. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Biden arming Taliban and Chinese - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com It is an understatement to say that Joe Biden’s Afghanistan policy is an unmitigated disaster. His handling of the Taliban sweeping through the country is so incompetent that one has to wonder if it was done on purpose. American troops, few as they were, stood in the breach from allowing the Taliban terrorists to take over the country, which in turn allows the Phoenix of the Islamic State and al Qaeda to arise once again from the stockpile of weapons and military equipment left behind by the US departure. The very threat that the Taliban would be bombed back into the stone age if they tried anything kept them at bay, gave freedom and life a chance. Biden blew it all away during the vacation of a lifetime. Against the backdrop of the Taliban wearing left behind American gear raising their terrorist flag mocking US Marines at Iwo Jima, Biden blamed everybody but himself—Taliban, Afghan military, Afghan leaders, and his old standby scapegoat, Donald Trump. Biden said he and his security team was closely monitoring the situation, but “This did unfold more quickly that we had anticipated.” Duh. Then we find out that Biden was not ambushed by these terrorists. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken dropped a bumbler’s bombshell: He admitted to Congress on August 26 that he knew about the Taliban plan to sweep through Afghanistan as early as mid-July and ignored the warnings. And he kept assuring the public that any notion of Afghanistan falling to the Taliban after the US troop withdrawal was far-fetched. Yeah, you read right. So here you have Obama and Biden infusing pallets of billions of US dollars into the Iran nuclear program and supporting the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood’s destabilization of the Middle East through Arab Spring. And we have Biden abandoning into the hands of terrorists pallets of $100 bills, 600,000 weapons, 75,000 vehicles, 200 aircraft, and according to The Gateway Pundit, 300 times more guns than those passed to the Mexican cartels in Obama’s Fast and Furious program (yeah, we almost forgot about that). What’s with these Democrats arming the bad guys? And, hey, next time Biden starts preaching gun control, you know what to say—He wants to disarm law abiding Americans and arm terrorists that want to kill us. And all that weapons technology will go to the Communist Chinese (now the Taliban’s BFF) for their examination. We haven’t even begun to discuss the loss of life and the danger to humanity Biden’s brigade of bumblers have caused. Biden needs to be impeached. But then again, that would mean something worse as Kamala Harris would become president if they could find her. And if she was impeached for her obvious incompetence, it would be Nancy Pelosi taking the helm of the sinking ship. Here is a verse you may as well memorize. It’s Proverbs 29:2, “when the wicked bear rule, the people mourn.” We haven’t touched the tip of this titanic iceberg and rearranging the deck chairs won’t help. Say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Before God’s Final Judgement - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live —Ezekiel 33:11 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/before-gods-final-judgement/ - Listen Sometimes, I think people believe that God is simply waiting to strike out and bring judgment. Actually, it’s the very opposite. The Bible teaches that God takes no delight in the death of the wicked (see Ezekiel 33:11 NLT). God doesn’t want to bring judgment, but He will because His Word is true. And He tells us there are penalties and repercussions for disobedience. For instance, the Lord gave Pharaoh chance after chance to cooperate when He spoke through His servant, Moses, and commanded him to release the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Instead, Pharaoh resisted, and his heart got harder. As a result, a series of 10 plagues, or judgments, came upon Egypt. Pharaoh was finally worn down by them, but then he tried to mislead and deceive Moses through a series of compromises. Thankfully, Moses didn’t give in to them. That left one final judgment, which would be the deaths of Egypt’s firstborn. Some might see that as cruel, harsh, and extreme on the part of the Lord. But let me say that for all practical purposes, Pharaoh decided his own fate. How so? Moses warned Pharaoh that he would be treated the way he treated the Jews. The Lord was very clear about that when He said to Moses, “Then you will tell him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son. I commanded you, “Let my son go, so he can worship me.” But since you have refused, I will now kill your firstborn son!’” (Exodus 4:22–23 NLT). The Lord was very gentle with Pharaoh in some ways. He sent plagues, each gaining in intensity, to get Pharaoh’s attention. But Pharaoh’s heart only grew harder. And in the end, Pharaoh had no one to blame but himself. Never play chicken with God because you’re always going to lose. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity! What on earth are you doing for Heaven's Sake? "Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!" "Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update. Our Prayer for You- "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:10-13 If you have been blessed by Prophecy Update and would like to help support this ministry financially.
