Our Future Blessed Hope, the Rapture by Jesus Christ - pastor Mike Taylor - https://pastormiketaylor.blogspot.com/2022/05/our-future-blessed-hope-rapture-by.html
47 “The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” (1st Corinthians 15:47-54) The above opening verses describe a reality that many of us will experience, I believe soon in this time of the end of this age. It describes the 'Harpazo” or the forceful removal of the church from this earth in an instant, or the twinkling of an eye. Some people just cannot wrap their minds around such a concept. Many don't believe what the Bible shows us to be truth. Paul was the first to make this known to the world, as it had never been taught before Paul called it a “mystery” or something not revealed in the past. The prophet Isaiah approached the doctrine in chapter 26, when he described the coming of the Lord to those in his time period. 19 “Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. 20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. 21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” (Isaiah 26:19-21) I've noticed that as you read Isaiah, much of the words the prophet writes lines up with the prophecy that John wrote in the final book of your Bible or Revelation of Jesus Christ. But until Paul fleshed out the concept and actually addressed the coming of the Lord for His church, then many people who read the Old Testament couldn't see what Isaiah was saying. A FIRST CENTURY BELIEF I've spoken of the doctrine that was believed in the 1st Century church but was squashed in the Middle Ages by the ruling theocracy of a “church” whose main goal was power and authority over other men. The doctrine was revived in the 19th century, as the Reformation gave men the ability to discern through God's Holy Spirit what the Words of God written actually meant. This doctrine was written for our time, not when it was written, as we are the last generation before Jesus comes again. I've always believed that the Bible clearly teaches a Pre-Trib (HARPAZO) rapture of the church, not because I look for a so called “great escape” as some scoff, but because I embrace the belief that it is “Victory in Jesus” and that the church is not appointed to wrath that falls on this earth starting in Revelation chapter 6 all the way through chapter 19 of the destruction in Divine retribution of those who are in rebellion against Almighty God and God judges them as His patience has come to an end. The Bible clearly teaches a Pre-Tribulation rapture that puts the last days and the Tribulation into context that is consistent with the overall flow of Bible prophecy. That is the only reason I teach and believe in the removal of God's church prior to the Tribulation as it makes no difference to me if someone else does not believe in the doctrine and embraces another point of view, as the timing of the rapture plays no role in our salvation. Of all the doctrines of the Bible, this one is hotly contested among “brethren” who do not believe what they read, or fail to discern the meaning of the Words. We are saved by faith through grace and the person believes that He is coming again, as promised, and will keep all of the many other promises that are spelled out in your Bible, including being an Advocate before the Righteous Judge of all the earth. The believers faith is in the scripture that I so love to quote and believed as a small boy that God the Father sent His Son into the world to save all who come to Him. 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18) But,( there's that word) the timing of the rapture of the Church is central to the understanding of the overall BIG picture of the last days. We are in the last days and it is a different era than the coming Tribulation period. The “last days” are used throughout the whole of the Bible in the context of the “Church Age” that we are now coming to the end of the period known also as the “Age of Grace”. It all began at Pentecost when the newly indwelt by the Holy Spirit apostles rushed from the upper room to the street proclaiming the salvation of God and the population thought they were drunk. "Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But THIS IS THAT WHICH was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" (Acts 2:13-17) The last days that we speak of is the Age of the Church that we are living in and near at its end, whereas the 70th week of Daniel prophecy is called the “Time of Jacob's Trouble also known as the Tribulation. These are two different “dispensations” of God and it is central to the understanding of the times that we now live in. The apostle Paul referred to this age, as the “dispensation of the grace of God”. 2 “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)” (Ephesians 3:2-4) Paul called the conclusion of this present time the “Dispensation of the fullness of times”. 9 “Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:9-12) DISPENSATIONS OF THE BIBLE During our current dispensation, believers are indwelt by God's Holy Spirit as the Apostle John reminds us: 2 “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1st John 4:2-4) Note the context of what John speaks of? The spirit of anti-Christ is already in the world, even in John's day, but this spirit cannot overcome the Church saints, because He Who dwells in us (The Holy Spirit) is greater than the spirit of anti-Christ. But this same prophet, writing of the same Anti-Christ who will come in the flesh during the Tribulation will over come the saints says: "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to OVERCOME them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." (Revelation 13:7) Since the Apostle John wrote both passages, and they cannot be simultaneously true, the flow of the Bible is interrupted if the Church Age is concurrent with the Tribulation. I've spoken of this in past messages, that if the 'Anti-Christ' is given power to overcome the saints, will he also be given power to overcome the Holy Spirit? Since John tells us that He (Jesus) had overcome the world, the Anti-Christ cannot overcome those who have God's Holy Spirit, but John tells us that he will overcome the saints. So the only explanation is that those who are saints in the Tribulation are not sealed with God's Holy Spirit and are not the church, but Tribulation saints. The Holy Spirit will still be moving, but each saint must guard their salvation to the very end as they will not be sealed with a guarantee of their salvation. This is showing that God is not given the Anti-Christ power over Himself, the Holy Spirit of God. That leaves two possibilities apart from the Pre-Tribulation rapture in an analysis of the passage. The first is that Jesus lied to us, that He would come to us and never leave us and we would always have the Comforter, that is until the tribulation comes and the Comforter would be withdrawn from the Church or the vessels He indwells and leaves them on their own to battle the Anti-Christ. Now we know that Jesus is God and does not lie, and He said He would NEVER leave us or forsake us. So strike that possibility. The apostle Paul makes that clear that the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn back to Pre-Pentecostal manifestations on the earth, before the “WICKED' is revealed: 6 “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (2nd Thessalonians 2:66-10) The Holy Spirit is the power of God holding back complete evil overtaking this world, and He indwells each believer who has come to Christ Jesus and proclaimed by faith, their Savior. For when the Holy Spirit indwelled believers are removed, then Satan will be allowed to attempt to destroy all mankind and receive worship for himself. For a pre-Trib Rapture to be a false doctrine means our generation was chosen out of all others in Church history to face the greatest spiritual trial the world has ever known -- without the Comforter that Jesus promised would indwell us until He comes. That is a biblical contradiction. The second possibility is that John was either lying or mistaken when he said the spirit of antichrist cannot overcome indwelt believers. In either case, the promises of Scripture are broken. Since we know that Scripture cannot be broken, and that Jesus never lied, as He was sinless, then the only possible explanation is that the Pre-Tribulation rapture is the Truth of God's Word. THOSE WHO DON'T BELIEVE. In all my years in the ministry, I have heard every explanation of why the belief in a pre-Trib rapture of the church is nothing but a “great escape” and scoff that it is a false doctrine. Those who misunderstand the clear meaning of God's Word have not had their eyes opened to the words of Paul as I have spoken of this great Mystery, that only Paul reveals the truths of “Grace through Faith” and the “Harpazo or rapture of the church” which until the Apostle Paul had never been spoken of in the Words of your Bible. That is why in each case, Paul calls it a “mystery” or something that had been hidden. I believe the One who opened the “mystery” to Paul was none other than our Lord Jesus when Paul was in the wilderness for 3 years being taught before he even showed himself to the other apostles in Jerusalem. But, its opponents will spare no effort to 'prove' that it is a false doctrine, as if the timing of the Rapture were somehow of eternal significance. It is not. The eternal significance of the Rapture is this: 14 “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1st Thessalonians 4:14-18) POINT AND COUNTER-POINT Now with these two opposite opinions clearly in view, let us try and pull this all together by starting with the Words of Jesus in Matthew: 3 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:3-6) Jesus warned that there will be one who comes in his own name and will deceive many, as most of Israel will be fooled: "I am come in My Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:43) Even today, Israel has been looking for a “political messiah” much as they did in the time of Jesus that would rid them of the Roman occupation and today, to give them “peace and security” in their own land from their enemies that surround them. There will come a man, possibly soon, who will give them what they have been longing for, at least temporarily, and will receive him as their “messiah”. They have never believed up to this point that they needed a “spiritual Messiah” to save them from their sins, as they had the Law of Moses, even though we know the law kills and no one is able to keep the law perfectly. Jesus was the only “Man/God” on earth who ever did. It is why the Jews rejected Jesus as their Messiah, as they were looking for a warrior King, much like King David to destroy the Romans. Jesus just didn't fit their pre-conceived notions of who their “Messiah” would be, as they needed a warrior, not a suffering servant who came to die for the sins of the world. So if one looks at the coming Anti-Christ, should you be so unfortunate to actually see him in the flesh, then if he is standing on the ground, instead of meeting you in the air, then you will know that he is an imposter, no matter what magic trick he performs to attempt to deceive you. In summary, the Pre-Tribulation rapture is NOT a “great escape” for the church, is a necessary evacuation of the Holy Spirit's restraining influence and allowing Satan to have full sway of men and women upon the earth to deceive and destroy them. So since the Holy Spirit resides in each of the Church members, or the body of Christ as a deposit of future glorification, then with the Holy Spirit being withdrawn, so will every believer that has His Spirit residing within our spirit. If you remove the doctrine and the removal of God's people from this earth in the coming rapture of the church, then the chronology of Bible prophecy is thrown into chaos. Although the doctrine of the rapture of the church has no “salvation value” as we are saved by “Grace through Faith” not of works, lest any man should boast, it has no eternal consequences to anyone that they must believe in the Pre-Tribulation rapture. They can believe or choose not to believe in this doctrine, as it has no salvation attached to it. I find no particular need to convert a believer to my own understanding of the last days. BUT, I stress the doctrines, as those who have not come to faith in Jesus Christ will be faced with the coming horror known as the Tribulation and the even more destructive Great Tribulation that will destroy nigh 80-90% of all mankind. Prophecy is a great witnessing tool to those who are lost. I believe those who are found in Christ, when the trumpet sounds and they realize that they are being taken to meet Jesus Christ in the air will be as I am, raising my hands and praising God, knowing that they have been wrong to reject the doctrine. I have people in my own family who fear the coming tribulation and what will happen to their children and other loved ones. Sadly, they have no blessed Hope of being removed from this planet before the wrath of God falls upon all who are left. 10 “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Revelation 3:10-11) Our Risen Lord proclaims to the Apostle John when speaking of the coming Tribulation that He will remove each of us from this planet, not through the Tribulation as some believe, but completely away from the time and space of this coming event. I have proclaimed in the past of the Greek Word that tells us this in the phrase “will keep thee” which states to be forcefully removed from point A to point B away from the time period or place. But those who fear the coming Tribulation who do not have the assurance that “we are not appointed to wrath”. 8 “But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (1st Thessalonians 5:8-11) Yes, my reader, Jesus is coming soon and will catch many believers asleep, and the whole world will wonder where millions of people have gone to. The left behind leadership will attempt plausible excuses and explanations of what has happened, but they speak falsely and attempt to blind the masses to the “snatching away” of the Church of the Living God who has been their blessed Hope. 11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (Titus 2:11-14) To re-emphasize I must restate that salvation is given by God as a gift of His grace. It is through faith in the finished work of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, when He shed His blood on a Roman instrument of death, the cross. His shed blood if full payment for our sins, and His resurrection is our guarantee of our future glorification to be just like Him. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. 2 "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1st John 3:1-3) SO WHY TEACH THE RAPTURE? But I have said all this to answer the question, “Why teach a pre-tribulation rapture of the church?” Because without this doctrine that draws the Bible's prophecy into a coherent chronology of events, then Bible prophecy has no context, as without it, it makes no sense. I believe God has been most clear in the concept of the removal of the Church and I warn those who are playing church, warming a pew, or use the church as nothing but a social event, have missed the message of salvation and are doomed to endure, or most likely die in the coming Tribulation. Those whose eyes are opened by God's Holy Spirit feel the dread of being cast into the tribulation without God. And those who do eventually find God in the coming period of “Jacob's trouble” will most likely die a martyrs death. I warn those who are lost in their sins and have not made Jesus Christ, Lord of their life, changed their mind about God, repented of their sins, and asked Jesus into their heart and lives that there is coming a time that I would not want my worst enemy to endure. Not them and not you. The obligation to preach the Word of God in prophecy looking forward to the coming of our Lord for His Church and the beginning of the Tribulation is what I have been called to do. As a minister of Christ I can do no other. Search your Bible, and be a good Berean and find out if what I have said is true. Ask God to lead you into all Truth...as Jesus said “Thy Word is Truth”. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2nd Timothy 2:15) 8 "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed".(Romans 10:8-13) We are to study diligently, as it is our insurance of not being fooled by false teachers or false prophets and succumb to end time deception that Jesus said would be a sign of our times. As a Watchman on the Wall, I plead with you to look to Jesus now, the Author and Finisher of our faith. The Harpazo of the Church, (rapture) is close, even at the door, as Jesus will someday soon burst through the clouds and cry with a loud voice “Come up hither”.....WILL YOU BE READY? This is Pastor Mike Taylor, praying you find Jesus before the Trumpet calls. TILL WE MEET AT JESUS FEET Is An EU Army On the Horizon? – Kit Knightly - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5354 The special "Future of the EU" Conference came to a conclusion a few days ago. There may have been a familiar veneer of "public consultation", but the aim of the conference was simple: tell the EU to do what they've already been planning to do for years. If that wasn't clear from the outset, it became unavoidably obvious a couple of days ago when the conference's list of 49 "recommendations" was published on April 27th. We have picked out some of the more troubling ones to discuss. There's number 21, for example, which suggests: that the EU improve its capacity to take speedy and effective decisions, notably in Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), speaking with one voice and acting as a truly global player, projecting a positive role in the world and making a difference in response to any crisis This sentiment is repeated in Number 39, where the conference claims there is a need to... Improve the EU's decision-making process in order to ensure the EU's capability to act, while taking into account the interests of all Member States and guaranteeing a transparent and understandable process for the citizens And they intend to do that by changing the voting system... All issues decided by way of unanimity should be decided by way of a qualified majority Taken together these measures would pretty much eradicate the national veto, and see member states potentially subject to legislation imposed against their will. A huge knock to national sovereignty. They also want to: strengthen the role of the High Representative to ensure that the EU speaks with one voice Which is a roundabout way of saying "centralizing power". Most concerning, though, is recommendation 23: We propose that the EU continue to act to promote dialogue and guarantee peace and a rules-based international order,36 strengthening multilateralism and building on long-standing EU peace initiatives which contributed to its award of the Nobel Prize in 2012, while strengthening its common security Which sounds harmless enough (apart from the shameless self-congratulatory reference to the Nobel Peace Prize), except they intend to achieve these ends using a new EU Army... The EU's joint armed forces that shall be used for self-defence purposes and preclude aggressive military action of any kind, with a capacity to provide support in times of crises including natural catastrophes. Outside European borders it could be deployed in exceptional circumstances preferably under a legal mandate from the UN Security Council and thus in compliance with international law38, and without competing with or duplicating NATO and respecting different national relationships with NATO and undertaking an assessment of EU relations with NATO in the context of the debate on the EU's strategic autonomy. A potential EU Army has been a talking point for years, but most often simply dismissed as Euro-sceptics scaremongering. In fact, further down in point 21, the conference adds: The EU should reflect on how to counter disinformation and propaganda in an objective and factual way Somewhat ironic, because as recently 2 or 3 years ago, the "EU Army" itself was described as "misinformation". A "lie" spread by "Brexiteers" according to the Guardian, or "as true as saying Elvis lives" according to Emily Thornberry. Following the Brexit vote, everyone from Politico to the Atlantic Council was attempting to dispel the "myth" of the EU Army. The EU itself published an article on their official site debunking the "EU Army myth" in June of 2019. Then, just last month, the EU voted to create a "rapid reaction military force" of 5000 troops. Funny how things change. Now, all the outlets which had previously "fact-checked" the idea of an EU Army, or dismissed it as a "conspiracy theory" are discussing its existence as more or less inevitable. Foreign Policy asks "Is an EU Army coming?", while This Week is weighing the pros and cons, and the New European suggests "Maybe we need an EU Army after all". This might seem like a sudden volte-face, but to anyone paying attention it is anything but surprising. Despite the waves of propaganda calling the plan a myth, the fact of the matter is that prominent political voices from Macron to Merkel to Juncker have been calling for an EU Army for years. The years-old agenda was given new life by the US's withdrawal from Afghanistan. The carefully-engineered shambles was said to "highlight the need for an autonomous European military". The story was that the US had withdrawn in chaos and abandoned their native allies, and an EU military - filled with happy-clappy European empathy, not heartless American pragmatism - would have stayed longer and air-lifted more people to safety. These rumblings grew louder after Russia launched its "special operation" in Ukraine, with Foreign Policy claiming the "war in Ukraine has turned the EU into a serious military player", and Investigate Europe pointing out that "Putin is doing more to bolster European military unity than decades of EU initiatives". Outside of the propaganda narratives, though, the pure and simple truth is that the EU Army is already a semi-reality. As this article in the Defense Post points out, "the framework of a unified European military is already in place". EuroCorps has existed since 1992, and is described as "a force for the EU and NATO". Essentially it's a link between the NATO command structure and the EU. It's a token force, and barely used, but sits there waiting to be adapted and expanded. The Berlin Plus Agreement, signed between NATO and the EU in 2002, permits the EU to draw on NATO resources (Vehicles, weapons etc) to participate in conflicts in which NATO chose not to participate. In 2018 the EU launched the European Intervention Initiative, Only last March, the EU launched their new "Strategic Compass" initiative, alongside creating the "European Peace Facility", a 5 BILLION Euro "off-budget" project designed to "enhance the EU's ability to act as a global security provider". You can see how these documents allow for a smooth segue from "NATO-backed US Imperialism" to "EU Peacekeeping" in the geopolitical narrative. The EU Army will be sold to the US as "European partners stepping up to the plate" and taking some of the burden of "policing the world", while in the EU/UK it will be billed as the EU "asserting its independence from US foreign policy". Neither will be true. It might signal a genuine change in the paradigm, a relocation of the seat of power further East as the crumbling US is abandoned and the heart of global hegemony shifts towards the EU. Maybe. Either way, the end result will be the same people spending our money on the same weapons, pursuing the same policies, telling the same lies...just with a new name over the door. That was always the plan. The pieces of the EU Army already exist, they just needed a reason to be assembled. And thanks the US's "chaotic" withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Russia's "Special Operation" in Ukraine, it looks like they've got one. "What happened in Afghanistan was a defining moment," said Nathalie Loiseau, who chairs the European Parliament's subcommittee on security and defense. When President Biden failed to keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan past the Aug. 31 deadline, European leaders felt this forced them to end their evacuation efforts early, despite thousands of citizens and allies still trying to escape the country. Some of Europe's most prominent politicians have argued for years that to become a true global power, the E.U. needs its own defense force, one that is independent of the U.S.-European NATO alliance and does not rely on the United States. Former President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, has suggested Europe transform itself into what he called a "superpower" that could act as a "global security power". He went on to say, "the Americans, to whom we owe much... will not ensure the security of the Europeans in the long term. We have to do this ourselves...." "The only way forward is to combine our forces and strengthen not only our capacity, but also our will to act," Borrell said following a meeting of E.U. defense ministers in Slovenia. French President Emmanuel Macron is one of the biggest supporters of more integration and has been calling for a "true European army" since he took power. Armin Laschet of Germany said recently that Europe must be strengthened "such that we never have to leave it up to Americans. The idea of an EU army idea has been around since the days of Churchill and seems to be revived every decade. While most attempts have failed there are some followers of Bible Prophecy who see the potential for a future 10 nation alliance out of Europe to fulfill the prophecies of the Book of Daniel & Revelation in which a 10 nation alliance from Europe (the Beast of Revelation) becomes the seat of power for the Antichrist on his way to global domination. Some have speculated about whether these prophecies in Revelation refer to 10 nations, 10 world regions, or simply 10 leaders. When the European Union first emerged and eventually grew to 10 member nations, prophecy students were sitting up and taking notice, until the EU grew past 10 nations (current EU members total 27 nations). Then the excitement died down considerably as Europe failed to demonstrate any united military capability. Now with talk of a fresh desire to merge military co-operation, people are starting to pay attention again. Especially as it coincides with so many other important prophetic events happening such as the shadow war between Iran & Israel, the players for Ezekiel 38 all in alignment (including Afghanistan), the advancement of technology that could fulfill the mark of the beast, natural disasters, the global impact of disease and the list goes on and on. There are more questions and speculation than anything else at this point regarding the future of the European Union but with so many prophetic events converging at this time it is time to be paying attention more now than ever before. Nearing Midnight: Awaiting the Ultimate Crisis – Terry James - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ The incessant push to produce the platform from which Satan’s Antichrist will be launched becomes clearer every day. With apologies for the lengthy excerpt, I think that its information is important to help us understand what is planned. And, make no mistake: It is a part of the “Reset” we’ve heard so much about. Without ever saying so, or even intimating the fact, it involves movement almost identical to the China dictatorship’s social credit score system that, of course, has locked the Chinese people into a permanent governmental slave state. Some of America’s most well-known politicians are now urging Europe to adopt this system aimed at bringing all speech in America, and apparently the Western world, under the new Biden-produced agency, the Disinformation Governance Board (DGB). They are setting the stage for bringing Europe into compliance next with locking down anti-free speech. The following, I hope, will explain further. Under pressure applied by both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, the European Union is working to expand online censorship to an extreme Orwellian level, as well as strictly regulate speech during what authorities deem to be times of crisis (we always seem to be in the middle of a “crisis”), and remove online anonymity by forcing the public to have a digital identity… Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both lobbied for the EU to back the censorship bill known as the “Digital Services Act” on Thursday, April 21st, 2022: For too long, tech platforms have amplified disinformation and extremism with no accountability. The EU is poised to do something about it. “I urge our transatlantic allies to push the Digital Services Act across the finish line and bolster global democracy before it’s too late.” — Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) April 21, 2022… Under the plan pushed by the Chancellor Rishi Sunak, cash in people’s pockets would be superseded by a new “Britcoin” digital currency. It is being framed as “giving the economy a boost in times of financial crisis”… The UK Government has been working in tandem with other world leaders and the EU to introduce a social credit system and digital identity right under your nose. In January 2022 the Department of Health and Social Care, currently led by Sajid Javid, launched a new app that allegedly “helps people to make positive changes to their diet and physical activity.” The pilot scheme has seen users wear wrist-worn devices that can generate personalised health recommendations, such as increasing their step count, eating more fruit and vegetables, and decreasing portion sizes. Users allegedly collect points for behaviours deemed healthy by the Government, which unlock “rewards.” The Government says these rewards include “gym passes, clothes or food vouchers, discounts for shops, and cinema or theme park tickets”… Now Italy is about to launch the same scheme. On 28 March Matteo Lepore, Mayor of Bologna, and Massimo Bugani, councillor for the digital agenda and civic use of data, announced the City’s digital innovation plan 2022-2024. “We will start with a pilot project for the city: at the center is the virtuous citizen, the one who, for example, separates waste well or does not waste energy, or uses public transport and does not take fines, or is still active with the Bologna Welcome Card. The Municipality says to these people ‘we will assign you a score’, as part of a circular reward with economic benefits to individual users.”… National Identity Number registration involves the recording of an individual’s demographic data and capturing their fingerprints, photo, and digital signature. The number is required for all transactions requiring identity verification, such as opening a bank account, applying for a driver’s licence, voting, obtaining health insurance, and filing tax returns. This is in essence a war, and many of you may not even realise you are in it. All the evidence is there, it just needs piecing together. There is a coordinated effort worldwide to bring in a digital identity and social credit system right under your nose. (“Governments worldwide are working in Lockstep to bring in Digital I.D. & Social Credit System as EU agrees to expand online censorship with ‘Digital Services Act’,” by The Exposé, April 29, 2022) We remember what Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama’s chief of staff, once said about never wasting a crisis—meaning the Democrat Party would always use a crisis to advance a political agenda. It looks like his boss and one-time Secretary of State under Mr. Obama, still look at crises in the same way. They will get their crisis, I am of the studied opinion, when Jesus Christ steps onto the clouds of glory and shouts for all believers to join Him for the wondrous journey back to the Heavenly Father’s house. Those left behind will face things much worse than the Chinese digital social credit system. They will eventually be forced to take Antichrist’s version of mandatory injections, or tattoos, or whatever he deems. Either those tragic souls will take the mark or starve—or even have their heads removed. All of this awaits the ultimate crisis—the Rapture of the Church. But you don’t have to be in that massive throng of the left behind. God has provided the way to escape—both the coming crisis that is the Tribulation and the lake of fire that awaits all unbelievers. Here is that Way of escape. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10) Growing in the Knowledge and Grace of Christ - Nathele Graham - [email protected] Growth is an important part of life. Life starts at conception. Cells divide and grow until the child is ready to be born into the world. After that little person is born, growth continues. One day that little person will run and jump, possibly becoming an Olympic medal winner. It all takes growing and learning. There’s a more important growth that should take place in every human, and that’s growth in Christ. The Apostle Peter knew this. He was one of the closest followers of Jesus, but Peter also denied knowing Him. Peter was afraid that his friendship with Christ would cost him dearly…maybe even cost his life. After Christ was crucified and buried, Peter was one of the first to peer into the empty tomb on the day of Christ’s resurrection. Now what? Peter had a lot to learn about Christ’s love and forgiveness. He had to learn that even though he failed, he could be restored to a close walk with Jesus. Peter was an expert in failing, then being restored. We can learn much from his experience. “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To hum be glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18. The other disciples had their moments of failure, too. Today we still refer to someone with many doubts as a “Doubting Thomas”. This refers to Thomas who doubted that the risen Jesus had paid a visit to the disciples as they fearfully gathered together in a locked room. Thomas hadn’t been there to see with his own eyes, and wouldn’t believe it unless he put his hand in Jesus’ wounds. “But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.” John 20:24-25. Eight days later, Thomas was with his friends when Jesus again entered that locked room and told him to examine the nail prints. We all have our moments of doubt, but Jesus never fails. What’s your reaction when your need is great and Jesus answers? We should all react like Thomas. “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God” John 20:28. Thomas had grown in his understanding of Christ. His head knowledge told him about prophecy, and he had heard the words Jesus had spoken. What he had now was heart knowledge that allowed growth in Christ. Maybe you’re down to your last dollar, and out of the blue you get a rebate in the mail that you had forgotten you mailed in. When that happens, don’t forget to thank God. If that check had come sooner, you would have spent it on something you didn’t really need. If it had come any later, it would have been too late. God planned it to arrive exactly when it was most needed. Take time to thank Him and praise Him. We begin gathering knowledge when we enter into this world. A newborn baby cries and soon learns that his parents will ease his discomfort. As the child grows, more knowledge is acquired…how to walk and talk. If that child does not begin to learn and use knowledge, something’s wrong. Knowledge is continually imparted to us. Learning is natural to a child. It should be the same with knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. One evening a Pharisee paid a visit to Jesus. Nicodemus had many questions. Questions are good when asked in order to gain knowledge, and Nicodemus was searching for answers. Jesus took time to answer the questions, and John recorded that conversation for us. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. Are you born again? Then, like any newborn babe, you need to begin learning about Spiritual things? Once born into God’s family, our knowledge of God’s ways needs to be cultivated, and we need to live according to His word so grace will also grow. Anger and hatred no longer have a place in your life. Peter gained much knowledge and grace through his life with Jesus. He begins his second epistle “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord” 2 Peter 1:1-2. Peter understood that knowledge of God and of Jesus brings grace and peace to a believer. He understood the need to grow in grace and knowledge. Most of us can identify with Peter because of his enthusiasm, followed by his failures. If we study Peter’s life, we can learn more about the love of Jesus. He will allow us to fail, but will always be there to help us when we call to Him. It was Peter who saw Jesus walking on the water to reach the boat caught in the storm. Peter enthusiastically wanted to walk on water with the Lord. He had no doubt that he could if Jesus told him to come. Peter was about to learn an important lesson in spiritual growth in Christ. Jesus told him to come out of the boat. Peter enthusiastically did, and even took a few steps. “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried, saying, Lord save me.” Matthew 14:30. Eventually, Peter learned to trust Jesus, and not look at the storms. He became the leader of those first believers. Not only could Peter encourage others to step out into impossible situations, but could also remind them to keep their eyes upon Jesus. The years that Peter was with Jesus, watching and observing, were important to his growing in knowledge and grace, but it wasn’t until Peter finally understood Jesus’ words that he became the man Jesus knew he could be. Peter’s knowledge of God and His ways finally were combined with living out that knowledge, and that’s when Peter began growing in grace. Finally, he could feed the sheep just as Jesus had asked him. Sometimes, like Peter, we require knowledge bumps to finally gain a particular bit of knowledge. Growth and knowledge of Jesus Christ will elude us at every turn of life unless we actually delve into our Bibles. We also need to step out in faith, even if a storm is raging. Jesus will be there if we begin to sink. There are plenty of folks who claim they know of Jesus but have very little knowledge of His ways. They attend worship services on Sunday mornings and receive a few minutes of instruction a week, but by Sunday afternoon they’re back to living like the world. Growing in Christ takes more than knowledge of Christ. Knowledge must be applied to life. Sunday mornings are a good place to whet your appetite for more knowledge and understanding, but an in-depth study seldom happens from our pulpits today. The best way to learn and grow is to study line upon line and precept upon precept through Scripture. “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little.” Isaiah 28:10. Knowledge of Christ comes from studying our Bible from Genesis through Revelation and then applying that knowledge and grace to our everyday life will bring growth. Sometimes what we discover in Scripture is very different than what we assume to be true. When that happens, you need to adjust your thinking to fit God’s truth. The more we learn and the more we rely on Jesus for everything the more peace we will find. Even when things seem to go wrong, our faith and knowledge of Christ will give us peace. Scripture isn’t always easy to understand. Peter pointed this out. Speaking of Paul’s epistles, he said, “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” 2 Peter 3:16. The word “wrest” comes from the Greek word “strebloō” which means: to twist, to torture, put to the rack, metaphorically to pervert, of one who wrests or tortures languages in a false sense. If due diligence isn’t taken in studying Scripture, the meaning will be twisted. “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.” 2 Peter 3:17. It takes a conscience effort to study and learn, but the Holy Spirit will lead you in your study if you allow it. If we don’t have solid knowledge of God’s word we can easily be led astray. There are many false teachers who spout ideas that sound nice but are really heresy. How can you know truth from lies? “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. Pray and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your study. If you’re serious about growing in Christ, spend some time alone with him. Fast and read Scripture beginning in Genesis. When you come across something you don’t understand, or that contradicts something you’ve been taught, stop and pray. The Holy Spirit will open your understanding. As we study about our Lord and Savior and learn about His grace and mercy, it becomes easy to acknowledge Him in all aspects of life. This knowledge will set us apart from worldly people. By nature, Peter wasn’t a patient man, but he learned and grew in faith. We are blessed in that we have both the Old and New Testaments to learn from. Peter had the Old Testament but he had walked with Jesus, and learned. The Holy Spirit worked through him to write letters included in the New Testament. Thank God he was willing to serve. “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:10-11. We must be willing to learn and be diligent in our study of God’s word. Continual and diligent study produces knowledge. His grace is imputed to those who will diligently seek Him. Do you strive to grow in knowledge of our Lord? The choices you make will determine your growth. If you choose to prayerfully study His word rather than reading the latest “how to” book about new ideas on a Christian life, the Holy Spirit will lead you to a deeper knowledge. Your heart will be turned to Him and your desire to please Him will grow. As His grace and knowledge grow in you, you’ll turn away from worldly pursuits which lead to sin. Knowledge will help you to grow, but applying that knowledge to life is what makes it real and leads to fuller grace. “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” 2 Peter 1:5-7. Do you see how knowledge grows? A foundation of faith in Christ is where we begin building our Christian life. By faith we accept Christ and that faith should make a change in how we live. Virtue (moral goodness in feeling and action) should follow. Add knowledge of Christ to virtue and apply it to your life, and so on. It’s a matter of building upon a foundation of faith. Can you imagine what a Christian with solid knowledge of Christ can do? I can. Scripture tells us about the actions of Peter, James, Paul, Barnabas, and all the others who lived their faith in Christ. They shared their faith and spread the Gospel. We are the beneficiaries of that most valuable knowledge. If we don’t study Scripture, we waste that knowledge and don’t grow in faith. Study the Gospels, and learn about knowledge without grace. The Pharisees had much knowledge but little grace. They studied the Jewish Law – both written and oral. They were able to point out another person’s sin, and were also able to justify their own. They tried time and again to find reason to discredit Jesus. Jesus tried to teach them the Truth. He always showed grace and mercy to the common people. Jesus healed the sick on the Sabbath, ate with sinners, forgave sin, and many other acts of kindness. No wonder the Pharisees were out to get Him! Jesus had much to say to them about their lack of grace. “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.” Matthew 23:27-28. Ouch! This is just a small portion of His speech to them. These men had lots of knowledge, but they had no grace, and refused to grow, even when God was demonstrating to them the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus said “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15. To know His commandments we must prayerfully study His word and gain knowledge. Then we need to choose to keep His commandments in how we live our life every day. Then we will grow in knowledge and grace of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Do you love Him? Then keep His commandments and grow in Christ. Daily Jot: Take action against the WHO treaty - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Part of the reason why the COVID response was so devastating is that the World Health Organization (WHO) was allowed to dictate response and treatment because of international regulations agreed to in 2005 in response to the SARS epidemic of 2003. The 194 WHO member countries agreed to allow WHO unprecedented power over how pandemics are handled. WHO is currently convening under the radar negotiations for a treaty that will greatly expand its powers to take precedent over Constitutional rights of member states. In other words, WHO will be used to establish world governing authority under the guise of a health emergency. This will no doubt impact free speech and religious freedom. Let us remember how WHO handled the COVID pandemic by dictating the standard for “defeating” COVID—A historic global lockdown of healthy people and the control of their actions. WHO’s tentacles extended to the US, where the government dictated that there was no treatment for the disease, except for remdesivir and ventilators, which it mandated. This mandated treatment resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands, while life-saving treatments were denied by the US government and governments around the world. Then came the Emergency Use Authorized vaccines and the propaganda campaign that demonized anyone who refused to take the serum. Now WHO seeks a binding international treaty codifying its powers to not only declare a pandemic based on its own definition, but also taking over the global management of the pandemic response. This, according to several sources such as Canadian Member of Parliament Leslyn Lewis, includes how doctors can respond, which drugs can and cannot be used, and which vaccines will be used or mandated. In addition, WHO will be empowered to implement digital verification technology to create international trust networks that can dictate an individual’s mobility, purchases and interactions based on whether they are following WHO dictates. It also will establish response teams to enforce compliance. In short, this is a health back door to a one world order that will determine life and death and socio-political compliance of ideals. To preserve America’s sovereignty and our guaranteed freedoms of religion, speech and assembly, the United States must be stopped from participating in this “treaty.” The comment period for WHO is June 16 and 17. Check the WHO homepage at https://worldcouncilforhealth.org for instructions on how to comment. Contact your senators and demand withdrawal from this so-called “treaty.” For information on what to say and more people to contact, visit https://jamesroguski.substack.com/p/speaking-truth-to-power?s=r as a resource. This is important as America’s sovereignty and your rights are at stake. Ezekiel 22:30 says, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it.” Let us be among them so that the last sentence of that verse never occurs: “But I found none.” Take some time and register your opposition to this tyranny. Daily Devotion: A Jealous God - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. —Exodus 20:5 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/a-jealous-god/ - Listen God calls himself a “jealous God.” But does that mean He’s insecure and is therefore jealous? We tend to always think of jealousy in a negative sense. After all, it was Shakespeare who referred to it as “the green-eyed monster.” We envision a jealous person as someone who may fly into a rage for the slightest reason. But when God says He’s a jealous God, He means it in a different way. Imagine if a wife said to her husband, “Honey, I love you so much. And by the way, I’m going on a date tonight. I don’t know when I’ll be back. Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow. Bye. Love you!” No clear-thinking husband would go along with that plan. But we’ll say, “Oh, Lord, I love you so much,” and we’ll effectively have another god in our lives. The Bible says, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols” (1 John 5:21 NKJV). And having another god is easier than we may think. A lot of things can become idols in our lives. A vehicle or a house can become an idol. So can a career. Even a ministry can become an idol. Other people can become idols in our lives. When we take our eyes off the Lord and become more passionate about a hobby or some other thing we do for fun, that can become an idol as well. When the Bible says that God is a jealous God, it means that He oversees your life. You are not in charge of it. God cares about you. He’s a Father who sees the potential of His children, a father who is brokenhearted when that potential isn’t realized, or worse yet, when we waste our lives. God is a Father who loves us and wants the very best for us. And He doesn’t want to share us with anyone or anything else.
