Jim Caviezel (the actor that played Jesus in a Mel Gibson movie called “The Passion of the Christ”) was recently interviewed by Steve Bannon on his War Room podcast. Concerning the globalist push for world government, Caviezel said, “We’re in an apocalyptic moment right now.” He added that “There’s a big storm coming, and they (the globalists) know it.” In my mind, the “Big Storm” Caviezel was talking about is the Tribulation Period described in the Book of Revelation chapters 4-19. It refers to a time of tribulation worse than anything that has ever come upon this earth, and except for the Second Coming of Jesus, everyone on earth would perish (Matt. 24:21-22). Many world leaders are involved in creating a crisis on earth to justify their establishment of a godless world government and religion. They know a big storm is coming because they are working to bring it about. What they don’t know or believe is that there is a great escape (the Rapture) coming for God’s Church, and God’s great wrath will destroy their much-desired world government and religion. > “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Rev. 6:15-17). > “And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. “And I saw the beast (the Antichrist), and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh” (Rev. 19:17-21). Pray for them (Perhaps some will get saved before the Rapture). While you are doing that, pray: > For you to be accounted worthy to escape all the things that are coming upon the earth (Luke 21:36). > For God to remember His covenants with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Gen. 17:7-8; 18-21; 28:13; 35:10-12). > For the 144,000 and the Two Witnesses to appear (Rev. 7, 11). > For the gospel to go all over the world (Rev. 14:6). > For the blindness of Israel to cease (Rom. 11:25). > For all Israel to be saved (Rom. 11:26). > For the peace of Jerusalem (Psa. 122:6). Here are some current events that seem to indicate that a big storm is coming. One, concerning the Mark of the Beast in the right hand or in the forehead of followers of the Antichrist: on May 26, 2023, it was reported that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has given Elon Musk’s company, Neuralink, permission to begin implanting brain chips in patients. The brain chips will have a wireless connection to a computer and that will hopefully enable patients to mentally control electronic devices, get on the Internet, social media, etc. A Neuralink brain chip is not the Mark of the Beast, but it is a major step toward the Mark, name, or number of the Antichrist in the forehead of individuals. Two, concerning world government and the World Health Organization (WHO) Assembly meeting in late May 2023: on May 24, 2023, LifeSiteNews posted renowned physician Dr. Joseph Mercola’s summary of what the WHO is pushing. Here is Dr. Mercola’s summary of about 300 amendments the WHO wants to the International Health Regulations (IHRs): > Expand the definitions of pandemics and health emergencies. Specifically, it introduces ‘potential for harm’ rather than actual harm. So, the WHO can mandate lockdowns or medical interventions based on the mere suspicion that a virus might cause public harm. > Change the recommendations of the IHR from nonbinding to mandatory, so member states must follow and implement the WHO’s recommendations. > Solidify the director-general’s ability to independently and single-handedly declare health emergencies. > Set up an extensive surveillance apparatus in all member states. > Enable the WHO to share country data without consent. > Give the WHO control over certain resources within member countries, including intellectual property rights. > Force national support for censorship activities directed by the WHO. > Change existing IHR provisions that affect individuals from nonbinding to binding, including provisions relating to border closures, travel restrictions, quarantines, medical examinations and the medication and vaccination of individuals. Here is Dr. Mercola’s summary of the International Pandemic Treaty that the WHO is pushing: > Set up an international supply network overseen by the WHO. > Fund the WHO’s health emergency structures and processes by requiring at least 5 percent of national health budgets to be dedicated to health emergencies. > Set up a governing body under the auspice of the WHO to oversee the entire health emergency process. > Expand scope of the WHO’s power by emphasizing the ‘One Health’ agenda, which recognizes that a very broad range of aspects of life and the environment can impact health and therefore fall under the ‘potential’ to cause harm. This is how the WHO will be able to declare climate change as a health emergency and subsequently require climate lockdowns, for example. The WHO wants world leaders to make these things global law in May 2024. If passed, the world will have an unelected dictator that can force his will upon every nation and individual on earth. He didn’t say it, but Biden and those that tell him what to do are calling evil good, and good evil. It is one thing to support same-sex marriage, transgenderism, etc., on your own nation, but it is an entirely different thing to use U.S. tax dollars to force America’s unbiblical moral decay on other nations that disagree. Four, concerning world government and nations surrendering their sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO): on May 22, 2022, it was reported that a Croatian member of the EU Parliament: > Called the WHO a terrorist organization. > Accused the WHO of constantly lying during the Covid-19 pandemic (lying about Covid’s beginning in China, lying when they said the vaccine is effective, lying when they said the vaccine would protect against serious illness and death). > Called the WHO a dangerous organization and said it would be safer for world leaders to sign an agreement with the Colombian drug cartels than it would be to sign an agreement with the lying WHO. (Note: Pres. Biden has already announced that he intends to sign the agreement, and make no mistake about it, this is more than temporarily signing away America’s sovereignty over health issues during a crisis or a potential crisis. This is a major step toward establishing an all-powerful Satanic New World Order. If surrendering America’s sovereignty to a group of proven liars isn’t enough to get members of the U.S. House and Senate and the major media to scream out in opposition, nothing will, and the Great Reset lie—that you will own nothing and be happy—is a done deal.). Five, concerning world government and nations surrendering their sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO): on May 26, 2023, it was reported that a group of conservatives in the UK: > Have expressed concern over the WHO’s proposed pandemic treaty and amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHRs). > Are alarmed about the plan to upgrade the WHO “from an advisory organization to a controlling international authority.” > Are threatening to “block any law that prevents the UK from setting its own health policy.” > Support the existence of the WHO as an advisory body that shares data, speeds up responses to crises, etc., but are opposed to turning the WHO (that has a proven bad record) into a global power that can force its will on nations. (More: Concerning this issue: on May 29, 2023, on The Common Sense Show, Dave Hodges said, “This—the Biden administration—is a totally lawless administration. These people not only should be out of office; they should be in prison. Signing away our sovereignty over our medical supplies, over our health policies, what we will and will not do, obligating every state to do exactly what Biden and the WHO says, totally bypassing the division of powers, separation of powers with states and federal government, basically making the WHO the ruler of this country, you see, it’s not just the UK; it’s this country too.”) Six, concerning world government and nations surrendering their sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO): on May 28, 2023, Dave Hodges posted a Defcon News article that says Michele Bachmann joined Steve Bannon on The War Room and said: > WHO Director Gen. Ghebreyesus, a liar, “is demanding the WHO hold sovereignty over all member nations due to the global warming climate crisis.” > Ghebreyesus said, “The climate crisis is a health crisis. . . Climate is the number one mission of health care. . . we’re going to focus now on climate change.” According to Bachmann, the only way the U.S. can get away from the WHO plan to create a world government is for the U.S. to withdraw from the WHO. (My opinion: If it wasn’t for the Tribulation Period and Second Coming of Jesus, the WHO could use climate change to rule the world, establish a global ID, establish a digital currency, establish the Mark of the Beast, reduce the population of the earth, and never allow the sovereignty of nations again.) Seven, concerning the climate crisis and reducing the population of the earth: on May 27, 2023, Jane Fonda blamed climate change on white men and called for them to be jailed. Earlier this year, Fonda blamed the climate crisis on racism and evil white men. On a recent edition of The View, Fonda called for pro-life activists and politicians to be murdered (this says a lot about how some liberals view tolerance). Finally, are you Rapture Ready? It appears that the U.S. is determined to reach a new deal with Iran despite the knowledge that they have much more high-level uranium than previously reported. The IAEA has found uranium particles at Iran’s Fordow facility enriched to 83.7%, just shy of the 90% needed for weapons, and a significant amount that is 60% enriched. There is no reason for them to have this outside of a weapons program. So, while President Biden says his administration is adamantly opposed to Iran developing a nuclear weapon, he is accepting an Iran that is on the verge of doing so. The only winners in this deal are the Iranians. Their sanctions will be lifted, they’ll have America’s endorsement that their nuclear program is safe for the world, and Israel will be all alone on any attack planned on Tehran’s weaponization program. Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government will be forced to make a momentous decision. Go along with the deal, which will open up a U.S. endorsement of the normalization of relations with the Saudis, along with other “rewards”. Or, take off their gloves, attack the nuclear facilities, and, likely, enter a multi-arena war. Prior to the beginning of World War II, Winston Churchill wrote to his friend, Lord Moyne, “We seem to be very near the bleak choice between War and Shame. My feeling is that we shall choose Shame, and then have War thrown in a little later on even more adverse terms than at present.” It appears that the U.S. President is choosing Shame. I pray that my government does not do the same. Leader of Hezbollah Threatens Major War with Israel After Israel’s Military Intelligence chief warned Hezbollah about attempting any sort of military action, the terrorist group’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, shot back, “You are not the ones to threaten a grand war; we are the ones who rather threaten you with it.” To back up their threats, Hezbollah carried out a military exercise on Saturday called “al-Fatah al-Mubin”, which simulated the “great final liberation of Palestine” beginning with the breaching of the border fence. Israel Holds Operation Firm Hand Military Exercise A two-week long drill in Israel, dubbed Firm Hand, was launched by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Monday. Its focus is on a multiple front, multiple combatant scenario. Recognizing that militia-based threats, like the ones issued in the previous story by Hezbollah, derive their source from Tehran, the main combatant of the exercise is Iran. Said IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, “We need to strengthen [our capabilities] more so that we can carry out a broad campaign against Iran.” IDF Strikes Proxy Militias in Southern Syria Israeli jets flying over the Golan Heights fired missiles into southern Syria targeting Iran’s proxy militias which have camps all over the area. Hit were military sites south of Damascus which belonged to these terrorist organizations. Israeli Citizen Killed in West Bank Terror Attack Members of the terrorist group, Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, opened fire on a car driven by an Israeli outside the Hermesh settlement. The man was struck and later died of his injuries. The terrorist group admitted “our soldiers” were behind the attack. Russia/Ukraine War Continues to Rage This past week saw Russia bombing a hospital in Dnipro that was treating Ukrainian soldiers, pelting Kyiv with missiles and suicide drones that forced many residents to spend the night taking shelter in underground metro stations, and sinking the warship “Yuri Olfirenko” in the port of Odessa. Ukraine for its part scored a moral victory by hitting the Moscow suburbs with at least 25 drones. All this to say that it doesn’t look like this conflict is going to end anytime soon. Former Russian President Says Nuclear Weapons are a Possibility Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian President and Prime Minister from whom the Moscow government seriously needs to consider hiding the vodka bottle, lashed out again with more firebrand vitriol. While condemning the U.S. and the EU for supplying weapons to Ukraine, he imagined a scenario in which the Europeans would provide Kyiv with nuclear weapons. He felt certain that, under such an occasion, Russia would not only be justified but also likely to launch a preemptive nuclear strike. My dear Dmitry Anatolyevich, no one is talking about giving nuclear weapons to Ukraine. Relax and maybe try a cup of coffee for a change. Belarusian President Rushed to Hospital with Mysterious Blood Poisoning Moments after Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, he was rushed to the hospital where he is in critical condition. Despite being in ill-health for a while, the rumors are circulating that he was poisoned, due to the blood purification processes that he is currently receiving. Naturally, fingers are pointing at Putin, despite Lukashenko seeming to be a loyal toady of the Russian leader. While not being one to put anything past Moscow’s leadership, it seems to me that murdering a foreign leader during a state visit in an official presidential meeting would be a little careless, even for Russia. Saudi Arabia’s Scheme to Profit from Russian Sanctions When the EU sanctioned Russia by limiting their ability to sell fuel, Saudi Arabia said, “Oh, Vladimir, got any diesel just laying around?” Now, the Saudis are buying 180,000 barrels of Russian diesel every day at a marked down price. If you’re wondering why this oil-rich country needs all this Russian fuel, the answer is that they don’t. Instead, what they are doing is using the cheap Russian diesel for their own needs, while selling their home-produced product at a significantly increased rate to Europe which is desperate for the fuel since they can’t buy it from Russia anymore. Thus, Moscow has a market for their fuel, the Saudis get even richer, and Europe struggles to pay their energy costs while wondering why their sanctions aren’t working. Iran and Afghanistan Water Dispute Leads to Military Action Iran has been running out of water for years, and they are very protective of any sources they have. It is this need that has escalated into a shooting battle between the Shiite ayatollahs and their neighbors, the Sunni Taliban who are running Afghanistan. When negotiations recently broke down between the two sides, numerous skirmishes broke out leading Taliban leader Abdelhamid Khorsani to declare war on Iran. It will be interesting to watch how this conflict plays out. Turkey’s President Erdogan Wins Another Term After 21 years in office, Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won reelection to Turkey’s presidency. Sunday’s vote was a run-off which turned in a 52% to 48% victory for Erdogan over his challenger, Kemal Kilicdaroglu. The incumbent has a difficult task in front of him as the country faces rampant inflation and is still dealing with the aftermath of the February 6earthquakes. Boat Filled with Italian and Israeli Spooks Capsizes The “Good Uria”, a boat carrying 24 people which was nine beyond its limit, capsized in a sudden storm on Italy’s Lake Maggiore, near the Swiss border. Four people died as a result. One was the Russian wife of the boat’s owner and captain. It is the other three who are interesting. Two were Italian intelligence officers and one was a former Israeli agent of the Mossad. In this sort of an environment, literally anything that you say could get you into serious trouble. Theoretically, our Constitution is supposed to guarantee the right of free speech for us, but the truth is that free speech has been dead for quite some time now. Those that are in the process of fundamentally transforming our society have made policing speech one of their highest priorities, and their hordes of brainwashed minions are always ready to step in and crack down whenever a potential violation has been detected. At this point, things have gotten so bad that even children singing the National Anthem is considered to be “offensive”… An unbelievable case of censorship took place when the esteemed Rushingbrook Children’s Choir was silenced by Capitol Police in the middle of singing the National Anthem at the United States Capitol. Despite having prior approval from Congress members, the police deemed their performance as a form of protest, sparking outrage and concern among citizens and lawmakers. The Rushingbrook Children’s Choir had been granted permission to perform in Statuary Hall by South Carolina Representatives Russell Fry, Joe Wilson, and William Timmons, during their well-planned trip to Washington, D.C. The audience and the young singers were bewildered as their rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner was abruptly halted for seemingly baseless reasons. According to the police, singing the national anthem could be considered offensive or provoke conflict. Are you kidding me? We can’t have little children singing the National Anthem because it “could be considered offensive or provoke conflict”? What in the world has happened to this country? In fact, the King James Version of the Bible was just banned at the elementary school level and the middle school level by a school district in Utah… The King James Version of the Bible has been removed from many Davis School District schools after a committee found it contained “vulgarity and violence.” A district review committee recently decided to pull the Bible from all schools other than at the high school level. According to a district spokesperson, the committee actually determined the book “does not contain sensitive material as defined by Utah Code,” but still pulled it from certain schools because of age appropriateness. Utah is supposedly one of the most conservative states in the entire country. If the Bible is going to get banned there, it is just a matter of time before it is banned in school districts from coast to coast. But this shouldn’t surprise any of us. The Christian faith stands in direct opposition to the new culture that the elite are relentlessly trying to impose on all of us, and so the Christian faith must be suppressed. Just recently, Billy Hallowell of CBN News posted “Jesus died so you could live” on Facebook, and he was informed by Facebook that his statement violated “our community standards on hate speech”… “You know, it’s interesting because you would assume when you get this alert pop up that says you’ve violated hate speech paradigms, that you’ve said something horrible,” Hallowell told Charisma News’ John Matarazzo in a recent interview. “So, here’s what I wrote, and I wrote this on April 2. I think that’s important because it was a 40-day period that elapsed from the time that I get this alert. I wrote, ‘Jesus died so you could live.’ “That is the message that I wrote. There’s no link. It was just ‘Jesus died so you could live.’ And that is what prompted this response from Facebook. And that response, just so you understand, I’m on my phone, I see it on my phone, I see it on the desktop. At first, I thought maybe it was a mistake. It was a joke. I’m like, ‘What is this?’ I got this alert. It said your post goes against our community standards on hate speech.” There must have been some mistake, right? That is what Hallowell thought, and so he asked Facebook for a review. Unfortunately, even after the review Hallowell’s statement was still deemed to be hate speech… It only took a couple of hours for Facebook to review the post, and it was immediately removed from Hallowell’s page. “I laugh because it’s so ridiculous,” Hallowell said. “So I get another alert, which says we have removed your post from Facebook. So, this is a new alert now. Then it says, and this is the best part about this, they remove it even from the preview. So, you no longer see the message that was a problem. It says posts unavailable and that they’re unable to show the content. “Then there’s a little section on this alert that says what happened. It says your appeal was reviewed and your post does not follow our community standards for hate speech. So, we’re back to the hate speech again.” If I cannot even tell you that Jesus died so that you could live, what sort of society are we becoming? At this stage, we are not too far behind communist China where Christians are literally thrown in prison for what they believe… The US government on Monday accused Beijing of jailing as many as 10,000 or more people in 2022 in a widening campaign of repression against religious belief meant to bring all theological activity under the Chinese Communist Party’s control. The estimate of those imprisoned in the country ranging “from the low thousands to over 10,000” is one of many accusations contained in the State Department’s International Religious Freedom Report, which has been published annually since 1999 and covers nearly 200 countries. The report’s section on China draws on reports by human rights advocacy groups including Freedom House and religious groups like the Church of Almighty God (CAG), as well as public information from the Chinese government. We have reached a time in history when control over what you say and what you believe is going to become increasingly restrictive. Our society is rapidly becoming the exact opposite of what our founders intended, and previous generations of Americans would vomit all over the place if they could see what we have done to the nation that they sacrificed so much to give us. America is being transformed into “Amerika” right in front of our eyes, and none of our lives will ever be the same again. There will be at that future time, the Lord foretold, things going on which will look exactly like things that were happening as the vexed Lot observed his surroundings in the doomed city of Sodom. We won’t look again in-depth at all the other prophetic signs Jesus and the prophets foretold. Suffice it to say, as we always do, that all signs given in God’s prophetic Word are in a state of convergence. All are coming at this generation with increased frequency and intensity. In consideration of the one signal Jesus gave, likening His future moment of Intervention into the perverted affairs of mankind to the time when Lot and his family were removed to Zoar, the similarity is, of course, striking. I’m not certain that the people of Sodom had reached the point of parading in the streets in celebration of the homosexual lifestyle. I’m not sure they had a perennial LGBTQ-plus Pride Month. But if I were a gambling man, I would be placing my bet that these things were taking place not occasionally but in never-ending fashion. I have no doubt that it was gay pride on steroids, as is said. I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that we, as a society and culture, have been moving ever more swiftly into Sodom and Gomorrah-like configuration. Thus, despite the fact that we are told the percentage of those among our population who are part of the LGBTQ-plus lifestyle is almost infinitesimal. Some will say that it is the wickedness of the godless, mainstream media that makes the perversion seem ubiquitous and even dominant – that it is the heads of the corporate world hungry for profits who are embracing those of the small percentage among us. It is these who employ debauched merchandising strategies, thereby pouring massive advertising dollars into media in order to lure LGBTQ-plus shoppers that make the perversion appear more rampant than it actually is. No matter what the strategy they claim or the proposition they put forth that they are simply just going about business as usual, and considering it all merely marketing, the Luke 17:28-30 prophecy seems to be taking shape before our sorely vexed eyes and ears. These days are a match, it seems to me, for the days of Lot which Jesus forewarned those 2 millennia ago while speaking to the disciples atop the Mount of Olives. The Lord, in fact, likened those former times in Sodom to business being conducted as usual. But we know from history that the fate which followed that business as usual was complete annihilation of the twin cities. Jesus said the same fate awaits the people of that future time when the business as usual reaches the point that God’s Cup of Wrath is full to the brim. The first thing on God’s list of the things He hates is seen in the following scripture we’ve looked at before. “These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him. A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16-19). A proud look heads the list of things God hates. So it is altogether appropriate to look at this thing they have forced us to endure called Pride Month. Even if they take the first word from the title as they are using it –the word Gay— the modern-day champions of Sodom and Gomorrah-like lifestyle is the heart of the designation. But it isn’t just the matter of pride that is wrapped up in the present Sodom-Gomorrah activity. The second thing on God’s list: a lying tongue speaks satanic words against the God of Heaven, accusing Christians and those who oppose the corruption of culture as being phobic and evil. Other evil that God says He hates fester within the black heart of the Sodom-like comportment. Hands that shed innocent blood are an almost inseparable wickedness of the radical mindset harbored within the militant homosexual movement, i.e., abortion – the shedding of the blood of the most helpless among us – is championed by the LGBTQ-plus community, almost without exception. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations is a matter that is in our faces in increasingly despicable and demonstrable ways. Transvestites are allowed to interact with the very youngest of children in a most sexually aggressive manner. Children in grade school are encouraged to learn the most salacious perversions imaginable by schools and teachers, many who are themselves deeply active as part of the LGBTQ-plus movement. Parents who object have been considered the criminals and have been persecuted/prosecuted by courts steeped in support of a Sodom-like lifestyle. Governments and even some physicians now, as part of the gay pride industry, alter the bodies and minds of those below legal age, hiding such activity in many cases from the parents of the kids. Despite growing opposition to the assault being perpetrated by those who champion June as Pride Month, such as the refusal by much of the buying public to purchase goods from Woke franchises such as Target, Kohls and others, the franchise giants aren’t giving in to any great extent. They are putting on display at point of purchase for even the youngest of children –including infants– their apparel that is of a transsexual nature. The garments are especially designed by those pushing the LGBTQ-plus agenda at every level of society and culture. The pride that brought complete destruction to Sodom and Gomorrah is on full display for all to witness this month of June. The most important eyes that are watching this display of Gay Pride are, of course, the Eyes of the God Who completely erased that long-ago homosexual pride from the plains near the Dead Sea. Jesus foretold that just such a future people will suffer the same Judgment from Heaven. When believers are Called by Christ into His Presence, that type of destruction will begin falling. It is not our place to hate those who practice, condone, or champion Sodom and Gomorrah-type activity. We, as believers, must, in Christian Love, pray that God’s Truth will Light their sin-darkened imaginations – that they will themselves Believe and be Saved from the Eternal punishment that all unbelievers face. Here yet again is how to come out of sin and into Christ’s Presence either at death or upon the Rapture. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10). Millions of people are on social media because they want to be seen. If people don’t feel “seen,” they don’t feel like the world around them is appreciating them or valuing them. People dress to be seen. They buy certain products to be seen. We are arguably living in the most self-centered time in history because technology makes being seen easier than ever. The importance of being seen is directly linked to having value. The thirst and drive for the world to see a person’s value may well be due to an emptiness within or lack of understanding that being valued by the world has little to no eternal value. Many people fear that they have no value if their friends or coworkers or church or even government doesn’t “see” them. Whether the world sees you or values you is inconsequential. In Matthew 10, Christ gathered together his twelve disciples and instructed them before he sent them out “to the lost sheep of Israel,” which was often a hostile environment. In Matthew 10:28, he said, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Christ goes on to tell his disciples that the world sees two sparrows valued for a penny, but that not one of them would fall to the ground apart from the will of God the Father. He concludes, “Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” This is not a message just for the disciples. It is for each of us. During the Sermon on the Mount, Christ underscored your value in God’s eyes. He talked about not making a public scene when praying and fasting like “the hypocrites do.” He said we shouldn’t store up treasures for ourselves on earth, but rather for heaven, because “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Christ said that we cannot serve two masters, such as God and mammon. Mammon is money, wealth, worldly things. He talks about worrying about what you drink or eat, or about your body, or what you will wear. He uses the examples of the sparrows, who neither sow nor reap nor store away in barns, but the Father feeds them. In Matthew 6:26, Christ rhetorically asks, “Are you not much more valuable than they?” He continues in verses 32 and 33, “For after all these things the pagans seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” You see, even Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest man in history, said all his worldly deeds were of no account in the end. The most value is to be “seen” by the Living God; the Creator of all things; the King of the universe! And He does see you and value you irrespective of your station in life, your wealth, the clothes you wear, your social media followers, or how other people perceive you. Don’t worry about what the world thinks–For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, but narrow is the gateway to life and few ever find it. It was the user’s manual for life that I’d been searching for. The world offers a fleeting happiness that comes and goes. But God offers a happiness that will be there despite our circumstances. This happiness doesn’t come from what you have; it comes from who you know.
