About 700 years before Christ, Hezekiah built a 2,000-foot-long tunnel through solid rock to secretly carry water from the Gihon Spring in Jerusalem to the Pool of Siloam (also called the Pool of Siloah) just outside the wall around ancient Jerusalem and at the base of the Temple Mount (II Kings 20:20). Hezekiah built the tunnel and Pool of Siloam (a water reservoir like a swimming pool that was about 53 ft long, 18 ft wide, and 19 ft deep) to ensure that Jerusalem had water if the Assyrians surrounded Jerusalem and tried to capture the city. The pool was located on a stone path (called the Pilgrimage Road) that led to the Southern Gate of the Temple (about 70 yards). According to Josephus, about one million Jews would visit Jerusalem three times a year (spring, summer, and fall) to celebrate Jewish Feast Days (Lev. 23). Many Jews would stop at the Pool of Siloam to take a required ritual bath before they went to the Temple. Scholars believe Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Pool of Siloam when Babylon invaded Israel (about 605-586 B.C.). Nehemiah repaired it when he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem (Neh. 3:15), Herod the Great enlarged it and built an Arcade around it during his reign, and Titus destroyed it again when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Before the Romans destroyed it, Jesus encountered the man born blind and healed him at the Pool of Siloam (Jn. 9:1-41). Jesus declared that He is the Light of the World at the Pool of Siloam (Jn. 9:5). Some (Got Questions) say Jesus was at the Pool of Siloam when he said, “if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink” (Jn. 7:37-38). After the Romans destroyed it, the Jews scattered, and it was not rediscovered until about 150 years ago. Not much happened until 2004 when the water company accidentally broke a water pipe near the site. This created an interest in developing the site, but a 14-year court battle over ownership of the site prevented any development from taking place. The court battle has now been resolved, and on Dec. 27, 2022, the Israeli Antiquities Authority announced that work will begin in Jan. 2023 and be completed (and the site will be opened to the public) in about a year. It is one of the most important discoveries ever, it has global significance, it is evidence of the accuracy of the Bible, it is evidence of a Jewish presence in the Promised Land (and in Jerusalem) for thousands of years, it is believed that millions of visitors will soon be going there every year, and those that visit a rebuilt Temple will need a place to take a ritual bath. Restoring the Pool of Siloam could be a sign that a rebuilt Temple is not far behind. Here are more things that could have global significance (could be signs of the approaching Tribulation Period). One, concerning the division of Israel: in my article two weeks ago, I wrote that on Dec. 22, 2022, it was reported that the EU has confirmed that it is actively working with and for the PA to protect the rights of the Palestinians and to ensure that Judea and Samaria are part of a future Palestinian state. On Jan. 4, 2023, it was reported that the powerless Jewish Sanhedrin warned the EU that their actions are in opposition to the Scriptures. They warned the EU that the Scriptures say God gave the land of Israel to the Jews and He will punish the EU countries in the Valley of Judgment by God (the valley of Jehoshaphat at the Battle Armageddon) for dividing the Promised Land. (More: On Jan. 4, 2023, it was reported that former member of the Israeli Knesset, rabbi Yehuda Glick, said, “We should condemn violence on the Temple Mount, and not condemn people who are visiting and people who are praying.”) Two, concerning the entire world being against Israel during the Tribulation Period: on Jan. 5, 2023, the UN Security Council (UNSC) met to discuss and condemn Itamar Ben-Gvir’s 15-minute visit to the Temple Mt in the early morning of Jan. 3, 2023. With all the wars, economic problems, famine, persecution of Christians, China invading Taiwan’s air space, Russia threatening to use nuclear missiles, Iran trying to build nuclear missiles, etc., going on in the world, the UNSC held a special meeting to condemn one Jewish official for going on the Temple Mount for 15 min. in the early morning when there was only a handful of people present. For whatever it is worth, the U.S. is a powerful member of the UNSC and could have vetoed this UNSC condemnation, but the U.S. participated in it. (More: Ben-Gvir is a conservative. He believes the Temple is the House of God on earth, and he wants all faiths to be allowed to worship on the Temple Mount. One well-known prophecy teacher believes Ben-Gvir’s visit to the Temple Mount will eventually lead to a partition and sharing of the Temple Mount. I have read several articles about Gen-Gvir’s visit, but I have not read anything about this leading to the partition and sharing of the Temple Mount. However, we know that the Temple will be rebuilt, and the Temple Mount will be shared by Jews and Gentiles (Rev. 11:1-2). Also, it is common knowledge that some scholars believe the Temple can be rebuilt next to the Dome of the Rock and a wall or partition can be erected to separate the two. The Jews and the Temple would be on one side of the wall or partition, and the Muslims and the Dome of the Rock would be on the other side of the wall. The outer court of the Temple would have to be left out because it would go around the Dome of the Rock, the Arabs would have to go through it to get to the Dome of the Rock, and that would not work. If the outer court is left out, there will be room for the Temple and the Dome of the Rock. The Jews and Muslims could go up on the Temple Mount through different gates, and the wall would separate them, but they could both use the Temple Mount. This could be important and have prophetic and global significance. It could also be a sign that we are close to the arrival of the Two Witnesses.) Both support each other and recognize each other’s legitimacy. Both see Jesus Christ as an uncomfortable obstacle to the pursuit of their plans for power and domination.” Vigano quoted Jer. 5:26-31: “For among my people there are wicked people who spy like lurking hunters, they set traps for men. Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit; therefore, they become great and rich. They are fat and wicked, they go beyond the limits of evil; they do not defend justice, they do not care for the cause of the orphan, they do not do justice to the poor. Should I not punish these sins? Oracle of the Lord. Should I not take revenge on a people like this? Terrifying and horrible things take place in the land. The prophets foretell in the name of lies, and the priests rule at their behest; yet my people are pleased with this. What will you do when the end comes?” Vigano answered his own question: “What will you do when the end comes? the Lord asks. Will you create new emergencies, new crises, new pandemics, new wars with which to keep the people subjugated? Will you continue to exterminate innocent children, to render fathers and mothers sterile, to defraud the worker of his reward, to corrupt the young, to kill the sick and the elderly because they are considered useless for your own vile interests? Will you barricade yourselves in your fortresses, hoping to escape God’s wrath and your just chastisement? That one thing is better relations between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia. The Saudis are reluctant to make peace with Israel because they see Pres. Biden as an unreliable and unpredictable ally. (Biden called Saudi Arabia a pariah, called the Saudi crown prince a murderer, withdrew some U.S. defense missiles from Saudi Arabia, refuses to sell certain weapons to the Saudis, did not respond when Iran attacked Saudi Arabia with drones and cruise missiles, and more.) According to Rosenberg, Saudi Arabia has signaled a readiness to sign a peace agreement with Israel, and the only thing that is stopping it is in the White House, not Israel or Gaza. Seven, concerning deceit, corruption, and treason by the Deep State in their quest to weaken America and surrender U.S. sovereignty to a world government: on Jan. 10, 2023, Dave Hodges (The Common Sense Show) reported that some Democrats are telling the Republicans they cannot investigate the Deep State. If at least some Deep State members are not immediately held accountable for what they are doing, they will not cease to control elections, weaken America, and submit the U.S. to a world government by 2030 or sooner. The Republicans in the House must put the U.S. first, stand strong, and expect well-financed opposition from high places. Be sure you are Rapture Ready. Eight, concerning corruption in the FBI: on Jan. 10, 2023, it was reported that a confidential list of everyone that will be attending the invite-only WEF meeting next week has been leaked, and FBI Director Chris Wray is on the list. These people are planning to take over the world, establish a godless world government, cause people to own nothing, and Chris Wray would not have an invitation if they did not consider him to be one of them. This may explain why FBI agents spied on Trump, lied to courts, arrested patriots, refused to prosecute Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden, etc. Finally, are you Rapture Ready? This is one of the longest pandemics in history. We’ve had three major strains sweep over the world, and now a variant Omicron called BA.5 has been very active in a growing number of nations. I went to the office of my heart doctor and noticed that the staff were all wearing masks again. A nurse told me they went back to wearing masks out of an abundance of caution. Since each new virus quickly makes its way around the world, we may all be back to wearing masks. Some of the Covid-19 strains have burned themselves out with no explanation. Europe and China are at the center of a resurgence in infections as more people mix at large-scale events and travel, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). “We are seeing a much more intense wave of the disease passing through Europe again,” Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO’s Health Emergencies Program, said at a media briefing. The BA.5 has the concern of the WHO because it is said to be the most contagious of all the Covid-19 viruses. Because this variant has had several mutations in the spike protein, all the original vaccines provide very little protection. The death rate from BA.5 is lower than most other strains. At any time, Covid could mutate into a form that has a very high mortality rate. In the past, I’ve urged people to get the vaccines, but I now see them as pointless. All the current vaccines are focused on the pre-Omicron strains. There is now a three-generation gap which makes it unlikely that they would be useful against the latest strains. When I said it was generally safe to get the vaccine for the original covid virus in mid-2020, there had already been 2.5 billion shots given out. I would not want to be the first person to get the shot for variant BA.5. We use supercomputers to check for billions of possible chemical reactions in the human body. The real number of potential reactions is in the trillions, so at some point, we are going to run into a major problem. A couple of years ago, I wrote about the dangers of booster vaccines not being given enough testing trials. Some vaccines are now not being given any trial run. They are going from the research lab right into people’s arms. Unless a new strain with a high mortality rate comes along, I don’t recommend anyone to get these new booster shots. Your good reason not to get a vaccine is the clear understanding that the press and the government will cover up any news of people having a serious adverse event. With any vaccine, there always will be side effects. When Big Brother decides we only report good news, it’s time to be very reluctant about all Covid-19 vaccines. I found my source that reported two serious events, including one child who developed symptoms consistent with Miller Fisher syndrome, which is a rare neurological condition that is considered to be a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome, and another child who was hospitalized with hives and arthritis. If a more deadly strain came on the scene, I don’t think we would have the financial means to deal with it. We’ve already spent $10 trillion on Covid-19, with millions of businesses driven into bankruptcy. Having gone through three major lockdowns, the world no longer has the capacity for round four. The Covid-19 virus is just a warning of what will take place during the tribulation. Bible prophecy clearly indicated that there will be end-time diseases that will kill vast numbers of people. Rather than ending on a sad note by quoting one of these plague scriptures, I would rather conclude with the verse that reminds us that God’s grace is always with us: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39). Unfortunately, most people just assume that everything is fine and dandy. If you are one of those people that believe that everything is just wonderful, I would encourage you to pay close attention to the details that I am about to share with you. Global hunger is rapidly spreading, and that is because global food supplies have been getting tighter and tighter. If current trends continue, we could potentially be facing a nightmare scenario before this calendar year is over. Pakistan is not one of the poorest nations in the world, but the lack of affordable food is starting to cause panic inside that country. The following comes from Time Magazine… Last Saturday in Mirpur Khas, a city in Pakistan’s Sindh province, hundreds of people lined up for hours outside a park to buy subsidized wheat flour, offered for 65 rupees a kilogram instead of the current, inflated rate of about 140 to 160 rupees. When a few trucks arrived, the crowd surged forward, leaving several injured. One man, Harsingh Kolhi, who was there to bring a five kg bag of flour home for his wife and children, was crushed and killed in the chaos. We are seeing similar things happen all over the planet. Just because you still may have enough food to eat doesn’t mean that everybody else is okay. In fact, things have already gotten so bad that even CNN is admitting that we are facing “the worst food crisis in modern history”… Yet the world is still in the grips of the worst food crisis in modern history, as Russia’s war in Ukraine shakes global agricultural systems already grappling with the effects of extreme weather and the pandemic. Market conditions may have improved in recent months, but experts do not expect imminent relief. That means more pain for vulnerable communities already struggling with hunger. It also boosts the risk of starvation and famine in countries such as Somalia, which is contending with what the United Nations describes as a “catastrophic” food emergency. Sadly, it isn’t just in Somalia where the food crisis has reached “catastrophic” proportions. According to Reuters, the entire continent is now dealing with the worst food crisis that Africa “has ever seen”… Across Africa, from east to west, people are experiencing a food crisis that is bigger and more complex than the continent has ever seen, say diplomats and humanitarian workers. Please go back and read that statement again. Do you remember all those years when Sally Struthers was begging us to feed the starving children in Africa? Well, the truth is that conditions are now far worse than when she was making those commercials. At one hospital in Somalia, grieving mothers are regularly bringing in very young children that have literally starved to death… “Sometimes mothers bring us dead children,” said Farhia Moahmud Jama, head nurse at the paediatric emergency unit. “And they don’t know they’re dead.” Weakened by hunger, camp residents are vulnerable to disease and people are dying due to a lack of food, said Nadifa Hussein Mohamed, who managed the camp where Isak’s family initially stayed. “Maybe the whole world is hungry and donors are bankrupt, I don’t know,” she said. “But we’re calling out for help, and we do not see relief.” UN officials are doing what they can to help, but the truth is that they are being absolutely overwhelmed by the scope of this crisis. Over the past 12 months, the number of Africans that are dealing with “acute food insecurity” has absolutely exploded… The number of East Africans experiencing acute food insecurity – when a lack of food puts lives or livelihoods in immediate danger – has spiked by 60% in just the last year, and by nearly 40% in West Africa, according to the World Food Programme (WFP). Sadly, a lot of Americans are simply not going to care about what is going on over there as long as we have enough food over here. Of course food supplies continue to get tighter on our side of the planet as well. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, our corn harvest this year was the smallest in 15 years… Last year was a bad year for corn — the latest US Department of Agriculture (USDA) report shows drought conditions and extreme weather wreaked havoc on croplands. USDA unexpectedly slashed its outlook for domestic corn production amid a severe drought across the western farm belt. Farmers in Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas were forced to abandon drought-plagued fields. The agency estimated farmers harvested 79.2 million acres, a decline of 1.6 million acres versus the previous estimate — the smallest acres harvest since 2008. That wouldn’t be so bad if our population was still the same size that it was back in 2008. Other harvests have been extremely disappointing too, and that is one of the factors that has been steadily driving up food prices. At this point, the average U.S. household is spending 72 more dollars on food per month than it was at this same time a year ago… As inflation continues to decimate the budgets of American families, the December report from Moody’s Analytics showed that families are spending an estimated $72 more on food per month than they were a year ago. That figure is pulled out of a report that says the typical US household is shelling out $371 on goods and services more than they were a year ago. In particular, the price of eggs has gone completely nuts. I recently came across an article about one small business owner that is now paying three times as much for eggs as she once did… It just seems like the cost of everything is going up these days and that includes egg prices, which are affecting local businesses. “We used to buy 15 dozen eggs from Sam’s for 23 dollars. They are now 68 dollars,” said Cindy Gutierrez, the owner of Creative Cakes. “Now it’s about 63-ish for 15 dozen and it’s also hard to get 15 dozen,” said Caitlyn Wallace, the owner of Catie Pies. The prices for eggs have surged three times their original price. According to the consumer price index, egg prices increased by 10% in October 2022 and that increase has continued to rise. This is causing a domino effect for restaurants, businesses, and bakeries who use eggs. Economic conditions are changing so rapidly now, and nothing will ever be quite the same again. As we move forward, the widespread use of “beetleburgers” is one of the “solutions” that the global elite are starting to push… Beetleburgers could soon be helping to feed the world, according to new research. The creepy crawlers’ larvae — better known as mealworms — could act as a meat alternative to alleviate hunger worldwide. The process uses a fraction of the land and water and emits a smaller carbon footprint in comparison of traditional farming. To make this a reality, French biotech company Ynsect is planning a global network of insect farms, including nurseries and slaughterhouses. A pilot plant has already been been set up at Dole in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comte region of France. Doesn’t that sound yummy? Of course these “beetleburgers” will just be a drop in the bucket. No matter what the global elite try, they will not be able to stop “the worst food crisis in modern history” from getting a whole lot worse. So I would encourage you to stock up while you still can. Global food supplies are getting a little bit tighter with each passing day, and I have a feeling that 2023 will have lots of “unexpected surprises” for all of us. But is it even possible to apply words like “winner” or “loser” to human beings? The winning quarterback one week may be the loser in the week to follow. The successful entrepreneur may make a fortune in one business, then lose everything in the next. In various aspects of our lives, we all sometimes win and sometimes lose. But there is one part of life where every person on earth either wins or loses. And in this most basic and consequential area of life, any person alive can go instantly from loser to winner, and never go back. Human beings are engaged in a contest, but it’s not a game. Dictionary.com defines a “game” as, “an amusement or pastime.” Life is more than mere amusement. The same website defines a “contest” as, “a race, conflict, or other competition… as for a prize; a struggle for victory.” That’s what we’re in the middle of — a struggle for victory. While there are degrees to both winning and losing, ultimately you are in one category or the other. You either win or lose on the greatest scale imaginable. You either live forever or die forever. 1 John 5:19 lays out the situation. “The whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” Jesus confirmed the devil’s power over this world. He called Satan “ruler of this world” in John 12:31, 14:30, and 16:11. John 10:10 refers to the devil as “the thief” who comes to “steal, and kill, and destroy.” Satan’s ways lead to destruction. But before 1 John 5:19 speaks of Satan’s power over the world system, it says something crucial to those who have entered Christ’s eternal covenant of grace. It says, “We know that we are of God.” Verse 20 says, “And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” Jesus gives eternal life to all who receive Him. That’s how to win. At any point in a person’s life, they can step out of darkness into life by believing on and accepting Jesus as their Savior. Those who reject Him over their entire lives suffer eternal loss. I said that there are degrees to both winning and losing. Jesus made it clear that those who reject Him will be held accountable for all their failings. That means some will have it worse than others. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 tells us that the reward Christians receive will vary according to the amount and quality of their work on earth. But the first step is the most important. It is a step out of death and into life. That part has nothing to do with our works and everything to do with the works of Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” We often say, “He died for our sins.” That’s true, but there’s more to it. The other part is, “that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” He took our sins onto Himself so that He can impute to us His perfect righteousness. He ran the race. He won the victory. And He gives His victory to all who receive Him. That’s you — or it can be you. If you have not accepted His provision for your salvation, you can. Right now. Just ask Him. The WEF says, “Under the theme of ‘Cooperation in a Fragmented World’, we’ll look at how we can tackle the numerous and interlinked challenges the world is facing and find solutions through public-private cooperation.” Cooperation, in this sense, is tantamount to global tyranny. World leaders of business, government and nonprofit organizations are banding together to “cooperate” on an agenda that, while propagandized as high-minded ways to address the world’s most pressing problems, is akin to an end-time beast system. Target one for this year’s gathering of the globalist Marxist like-minded is the world economy. WEF introduces its session with, “The latest Chief Economists Outlook comes at a turbulent time for the global economy. This January’s edition of the survey comes at a time of significant economic headwinds and explores the prospects for growth, inflation, and monetary and fiscal policy. It also looks at challenges businesses will likely face in the coming months and their potential responses.” All this is real pleasant talk for a central plan to redistribute wealth in the name of equity and fairness. The idea is to get all the economies on the same page so that resources, both financial and natural, can be controlled. One of the ways to control societies is by converting every energy use to electricity. That seems to be the battle cry of this monolith of cooperation. The WEF website says electricity is the “backbone of an integrated energy system.” WEF further states, “The electricity system is likely to form the backbone of the energy systems of the future. A new framework, Electricity+, highlights the opportunities to create and optimize integrations between the electricity sector and other infrastructure to enable a transition to a net-zero economy.” Ever wonder where the Biden Administration gets its marching orders on eliminating gas, gasoline, diesel, and coal at the expense of each of us? Look at the WEF. It’s a “cooperation.” These “intelligent” champions of government, charity and industry are being led along in the name of making “democracy” more fair. In reality, this is all about wealth redistribution and population control. They don’t tell you that electric is created mostly by fossil fuels and that infrastructures in the most developed nations cannot even handle the demand. But they are demanding everything be converted to electric. That way there is a switch that can turn off your energy source if you do not meet their ideas of being a good citizen measured by social credits. Same could be the case with food. Revelation 13:17 speaks of the antichrist/beast “that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” While the WEF is not the beast of Revelation, it may certainly be laying the groundwork for him. Sometimes people think it means that whatever is bothering them or plaguing them is their cross to bear. But that isn’t what Jesus meant when He said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23 NKJV). The cross symbolizes the same thing to every person. It speaks of dying to ourselves and putting God’s will before our own. Taking up the cross is exchanging our plans for His plans. It’s when we stop trying to seek life and instead seek God. So many people today are trying to find purpose in life. What is life about? What is the meaning of it? The meaning of life, the purpose of life, is to know God. And the best life to live is the Christian life. To live it the most effectively, we must take up our cross and follow Jesus Christ. The Scottish theologian Samuel Rutherford said of the cross, “Christ’s cross is the sweetest burden that ever I bore; it is such a burden as wings are to a bird, or sails to a ship, to carry me forward to my harbor.” It’s through death to ourselves that we find life. It’s through exchanging our plans for God’s that we find the best. We find life as it was meant to be lived. The apostle Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 NKJV). When we lay aside our personal desires and ambitions, God will reveal the desires and plans that He has for us.
