On June 21, 2023, the Western Journal reported that an undercover journalist working for the O’Keefe Media Group secretly videoed several interviews with a BlackRock recruiter.
 
(Note: BlackRock is the world’s largest investment firm, it has about $10 trillion of assets, and it has more assets than any nation on earth except the U.S. and China. According to the article, the recruiter said BlackRock is known as “the company that owns the world” because they hold and manage a significant number of shares in almost all major corporations in the U.S. and many other parts of the world across all industries, including Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, Tesla, Coca-Cola, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, Fox Corporations, Visa, Chevron, JPMorgan Chase, Walmart, and many more.)
 
Here is some of what the BlackRock recruiter said on video (his and my words):
 

• The one who is really in charge is not the president of a country but the one who is controlling the wallet of the president.
• The hedge funds, BlackRock, the banks. These guys run the world. They buy politicians.
• It is called campaign financing. For $10,000 you can buy a U.S. Senator.
• It doesn’t matter who wins. They’re in my pocket at this point.
• I know what happens because I recruit people to do these things.

(My opinion: I cannot verify that the BlackRock recruiter’s statements are accurate, but I will say that I believe America has been sold out to people who are under the influence of Satan. America is no longer a nation under God. This fits Bible prophecy, it is a sign that the Rapture and Tribulation Period are near, and God will soon take back His Creation.)
 
(More: On June 26, 2023, it was reported that Pres. Biden recently (on June 22, 2023) met with India’s Prime Min. Modi, and Biden said, “I sold a lot of state secrets and a lot of very important things we shared.” According to the report, Biden’s confession that he sold a lot of state secrets is on the White transcripts of the meeting. He is either extremely incompetent, extremely corrupt, or both.)
 
(FYI: Concerning the last days, Paul said, “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (II Tim. 2:1, 13).
 
Here are some recent events that indicate that we are getting close.
 
One, concerning a global digital ID, a one-world currency, and a cashless society: on June 20, 2023, it was reported that:
 
> Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said the IMF is working on a global Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) system that can make cross-border payments “cheaper and quicker” while reducing the number of needed intermediaries.
 
> Georgieva suggested that a world government could help with the creation of a world currency because every nation must abide by the same rules.
 
> Bo Li, the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, said CBDC transactional data (the record of what people buy and sell) could be used like it is in China to create social credit scores.
 
> A report by the World Economic Forum WEF) says some nations understand that a digital ID must be created before a trackable CBDC comes into being.
 
> The WEF report says even if people are not required by law to have a digital ID, they can be coerced into getting one by denying them access to goods and services (denying them the right to buy and sell) without one.
 
This sounds very much like the beginning of the system described in Revelation chapter 13, but it is coming from the IMF and the WEF, not the Bible.

Two, concerning a global digital ID linked to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC): on June 21, 2023, it was reported that Antonio Guterres, Sec. Gen. of the UN, wants the nations to approve a global digital ID linked to everyone’s bank accounts at The Summit for the Future in Sept. 2024.
 
This is in addition to his calls for a global ID with information about people’s healthcare, views on climate change, views on gender equality, etc.
 
He wants this information so the UN can deal with those who are subverting the truth and spreading lies (people who contradict the UN’s dishonest propaganda).
 
(More: On June 22, 2023, it was reported that citizens in China are required to have a face scan and to be in good standing in China’s social credit system to buy gasoline for their vehicles.)
 
(More: On June 25, 2023, it was reported that the Federal Reserve Bank in New York has quietly rolled out a digital dollar (CBDC). They will soon be monitoring and regulating how New Yorkers spend their money, and it could spread to other banks within months.)
 
(FYI: Some do not seem to understand that the Mark of the Beast is not everyone having a different global ID number linked to their bank account. The Mark of the Beast is everyone taking the same number (the number of the Antichrist; 666), his name, or his Mark (Rev. 13:16-18). That will happen in the middle of the Tribulation Period. We are not in the Tribulation Period. No one has confirmed a 7-yr Covenant. The Antichrist cannot rise while the Restrainer (the true Church indwelt by Holy Spirit) is here. But everyone having a different number (global ID) linked to their Bank account is a major step in the development of a system that will require people to take the number, name, or Mark of the Antichrist at the middle of the Tribulation Period. The Antichrist system to track all buying and selling is “beginning to come to pass.” And do not take this lightly. Those that take the Mark will never be saved; Rev. 14:9-11.).
 
Three, concerning world government: on June 26, 2023, it was reported that in addition to what nations are already doing, French Pres. Emanuel Macron wants a global tax to fight global warming and poverty (sounds like a global welfare system).
 
Four, concerning subverting the truth and spreading lies: following the failure of a vote to censure and severely fine Congressman Adam Schiff for lying, misleading the U.S. public and conduct unbecoming a member of Congress over Hillary Clinton’s false allegation that Trump colluded with Russia, the severe fine was dropped, a second vote was taken, and it passed.
 
Adam Schiff has now been censored by the U.S. House of Representatives, and he will be investigated by the House Ethics Committee.
 
Our leaders would do well to remember that there will be a payday someday.
 
Five, concerning corruption and the decline of America: on June 21, 2023, Special Council John Durham was testifying before Congress about Hillary Clinton’s false allegation that Trump colluded with Russia, and he was asked, “How long do you think that this country will survive with a two-tiered justice system that seeks to persecute people on their political beliefs?”
 
Durham replied, “I don’t think that things can go too much further with the view that law enforcement, particularly the FBI or Department of Justice, runs a two-tiered system of justice. The nation can’t stand under those circumstances.”
 
As I understand it, Durham was saying the U.S. is a divided nation, and it will fall if something is not quickly done about the two-tiered justice system in Washington.

Six, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: I am writing this on June 24, 2023, and it will be July 1, 2023, before it is posted, but there is a rebellion going on in Russia, Vladimir Putin and some of his staff have fled Moscow, and people are calling me and e-mailing me for my opinion about what is happening.
 
It is too early to tell, but I will say that I am on record as saying the EU will dominate the New World Order at the end of the age, and people often ask me, “What about Russia and China?”
 
We must understand that God’s Word is true, and it must be fulfilled exactly as He says.
 
If He needs to intervene in Russia, China, the U.S., or any other nation to put the EU in a dominant position, He can and He will, and He does not need a lot of time to do it.
 
Something that I find interesting is that Gog’s military will start fighting among themselves when they attack Israel (Ezek. 38:21), and there are competing factions in Russia’s military today.
 
There are many reasons to be concerned, but God is in control, and Russia/China will not lead the New World Order.
 
Ten Kings must appear first, three will be overthrown, and all of them will surrender their power to the Antichrist.
 
The Antichrist will come from the people that destroyed Israel in 70 A.D. (the EU, also called the Revived Roman Empire).
 
Russia is not doomed, tension is high, and Putin may or may not survive.
 
But Russia will regroup, and God will drag her onto the mountains of Israel in the latter years and latter days, and a weakened Russia will be on the scene when the Antichrist arrives.
 
Many prophecy teachers think Putin is Gog, but we do not know that, and if he is, he must die on the mountains of Israel (Ezek. 39:11), not in a rebellion in Russia.
 
Also, the fact that Gog will be buried in Israel is proof that he is not the Antichrist because the Antichrist will be cast alive in the Lake of Fire, not buried in Israel (Rev. 19:20).
 
Two different leaders ending in two different ways is proof that the Battle of Gog/Magog and the Battle of Armageddon are two different wars.
 
Another difference between the two wars is that The Battle of Gog and Magog is a 10-nation attack on Israel, but the Battle of Armageddon is a global army under the Antichrist.
 
(Update: The rebellion ended about 2-3 hours after I wrote the above. That is my opinion, and time will tell.).

Seven, On June 24, 2023, it was reported that the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture has approved the sale of lab-grown me in U.S. supermarkets and restaurants.
 
This is part of the U.S. government’s solution to climate change.
 
(My Opinion: I have heard people say they will not eat fake meat, worms, or bugs, but if it comes to that or starvation, many will eat these things to survive, and we know that there will be a terrible global famine after the Rapture.)
 
Eight, concerning a normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia: on June 25,2023, Israel’s Foreign Minister said he thinks it will happen before Mar. 2024.
 
If it does, it would be a major step toward a covenant of peace between Israel and the Arabs.
 
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go there because we sin), but God provides a way for everyone to go to Heaven.
 
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
 
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Karl Marx was right when he called religion the opiate of the masses. He discovered the truth that man is incurably driven to worship something, somewhere. If humans do not bow before the holy and true God, then they will devise their own method, their own system, their own god, and they will worship their own creation.
 
While the coming world religious system in some ways resembles Christianity, John calls it "Babylon the Great"—a monstrous, ecumenical combination of everything that people consider "spiritual." And the world will buy into it—hook, line and sinker.
 
Mostly sinker.
 
Whenever God's people turned from the true and living God, or when any group of people worshiped anything other than God, the Bible consistently labeled it as harlotry.
 
For example, at one point in Israel's history, God asked Jeremiah, "Have you seen what backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up on every high mountain and under every green tree, and there played the harlot" (Jer. 3:6). The wayward people of Israel made it a habit to visit groves of false worship, where out of tree trunks they would carve statues to worship. And so God said, just a few verses later, "So it came to pass, through her casual harlotry, that she defiled the land and committed adultery with stones and trees" (v. 9).
 
The entire book of Hosea is built upon this metaphor of an unfaithful wife who plays the harlot. Just as Hosea repeatedly tried to reach his wayward wife, so God tried again and again to draw His people back to Himself; and yet Israel was consistently unfaithful to Him. She played the harlot by following after other gods.
 
I find it interesting that Jesus would choose to use the metaphor of a woman for His church. As the British novelist Mary Elizabeth Braddon asked in the late 1800s, "How are our churches beautified, our sick tended, our poor fed, our children taught and cared for and civilized?
 
"Women are the church's strong rock. As they were the last at the foot of the cross, so they have become first at the altar."
 
So here in the book of Revelation 17, we have a deeply unfaithful woman whom an angel calls "the great harlot." She represents a religious system that claims to be joined to God but, like a prostitute, is unfaithful to God. Her sin is spiritual fornication, the sin of turning from God and refusing to remain spiritually faithful to Him.
 
In Genesis 10, a man by the name of Nimrod is mentioned (vv. 8-9). He is four generations removed from Noah; his grandfather was Ham, the wicked son of Noah. After the Flood, God told Noah's family to multiply and cover the face of the earth. But some of Noah's descendants, including Nimrod, thought they had a better plan. When they came to a plain in the land of Shinar, they said to one another, "Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth" Gen. 11:4). Notice their rebellion: Whereas God had told them to "fill the earth" (Gen. 9:1), they decided to stick together in their city, "lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth." They acted in direct disobedience to a clear, divine command.
 
These people, led by Nimrod, conceived their city in open rebellion against God. Their whole philosophy was built on the idea of exalting themselves and degrading God. We could say it was the first human city built on the philosophy of secular humanism. They called it Babel, which later became Babylon.
 
And they didn't stop with philosophy. They also decided to create a new religious system. They said, "Let us build...a tower whose top is in the heavens." They recognized their spiritual need, but they sought to fill it with do-it-yourself religion. The tower they decided to build probably took the form of a ziggurat, a stepped platform with a shrine at the very top. Normally a priest officiated at the shrine, using the signs of the zodiac to try to predict the future for his people.
 
History tells us that Nimrod had a wife named Semiramis. Before her marriage, she had a son named Tammuz, whom she claimed was not fathered by a man, but rather was conceived when a sunbeam from heaven shone on her belly. And so, she said, she conceived Tammuz, whom she and others declared to be the savior of the world—a virgin-born savior who would overturn the curse of Genesis 3.
 
There's an ancient story that says one day, Tammuz was gored by a wild boar while playing in a field. He died. For 40 days, Semiramis wept over her son's death. Then he suddenly rose from the dead. So we see that, even way back in the early days of Genesis, Satan was busily creating a false religion. He cleverly concocted a counterfeit faith about a virgin-born savior of the world who died and rose again. As people scattered over the face of the earth (after God put an end to their experiment at Babel), Semiramis and Tammuz began to be worshiped as mother and child. In fact, she later came to be known as "the queen of heaven."
 
Many ancient cultures worshiped this mother-son pair. In Nineveh, she was called Ishtar. In Phoenicia, they called her Ashtoreth and her son, Baal. In Egypt, she carried the name Isis, while her son was known as Osiris. Later, in Greece, she was called Aphrodite, while he was called Aras. In Rome, her name became Venus, and her son, Cupid. The cult finally ended in Rome, according to Alexander Haslett in his classic work The Two Babylons. The cult died out with the empire; but remember, that empire will be revived during the Tribulation.
 
Why is Mystery Babylon called the mother of harlots? John gives it this name because it has spawned a host of other false religious systems throughout history. That system will reach its peak during the Tribulation. No doubt the final version will incorporate some elements of the church—Christianity in a perverted and apostate form. Paul the apostle wrote, "The Spirit expressly says in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons" (1 Tim. 4:1).
 
At the time of the end, this religious harlot will have established a worldwide reign. In Revelation 17:1, the phrase "who sits on many waters" refers to all the people of the earth. This meaning becomes especially clear in verse 15, when an angel tells John, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues."
 
We live in an age when the lines of truth are becoming increasingly blurred. It's become fashionable to refuse to take a dogmatic stand about anything, especially Jesus Christ. And so, people everywhere are drifting from the truth.
 
I want to exhort you to cling to the truth at all costs.
 
The world is fast coming to a point of abandoning the truth. Don't go along with the crowd—stand up for the truth! It might cost you everything. But one day, if you stand fast, you're going to hear some beautiful words from Jesus' own lips: "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Liberal activists are using artificial intelligence to rewrite the Bible and put words in the mouth of Jesus, a Daily Caller News Foundation review found.
 
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) introduced their version of the biblical account of the creation story of Adam and Eve to give a “can’t-be-missed animal rights message filled with vegan teachings,” according to a May press release. PETA’s manipulation of AI is one in a long list of concerns that religious advocates who spoke to the DCNF had about the technology’s impact on faith.
 
“I do have concerns with what I understand PETA has done, which is using artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT, to rewrite the creation story,” David Closson, director of the Center for Biblical Worldview at the Family Research Center, explained. “There’s obviously different translations of the Old and the New Testament with ChatGPT … [but] this isn’t just a difference in translation. This is a different interpretation of the actual text and I think that there are theological issues with what PETA is putting out in this version of the Bible.”

“It’s … a misrepresentation of what the Bible presents about creation and in that, it distorts the divine order that is a part of that creation story by really reframing the way the story is presented,” Darrell Bock, executive director of Cultural Engagement and Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies at the Dallas Theological Seminary, told the DCNF. “And so it’s revisionism as opposed to really substantively reflecting what the Bible is saying. It fits PETA’s mission, but it doesn’t reflect what the Bible says about the creation.”
 
In PETA’s AI-overhauled creation account titled “The Book,” the terms “beasts” and “creatures” are exchanged for “beings,” and the clothing that God provides for Adam and Eve is made of hemp and bamboo instead of animal skin, according to the press release. Additionally, PETA’s version of Genesis includes Abraham and Sarah adopting a dog named “Herbie” from a shelter.
 
PETA President Ingrid Newkirk explained in a statement that they were just getting started and may rewrite more books of the Bible in the future.
 
“The Bible has long been used to justify all forms of oppression, so we’ve used ChatGPT to make it clear that a loving God would never endorse exploitation of or cruelty to animals,” Newkirk said in the press release. “It took God only six days to create the entire world, but we realized it would take us years to rewrite the whole Bible, which is why we’ve started with just the first book.”
 
A PETA spokesperson told the DCNF that while the Bible is “evidence enough” that God is against animal cruelty, the organization created its own version of Genesis to help prevent people from misusing scripture. The spokesperson also dismissed the idea that the project was “a rewrite of a religious document,” calling it simply a “modern telling of Genesis.”
 
“We asked an AI to create The Book as a modern companion to the Bible, and we’re pleased with the results because this complementary piece provides readers with moral lessons relevant to the world of the 21st century,” the spokesperson said. “Our words matter, and this creation story conveys the wonderful lessons of the Bible while acknowledging that animals are now known to be feeling, intelligent individuals, capable of experiencing joy, love, fear, and suffering.”
 
PETA is not the only one incorporating AI into faith. In Fuerth, Germany, a 40-minute church service was held by a ChatGPT robot for 300 people in June, including a sermon, prayers and music presented by four different avatars, according to The Associated Press. Some of the congregation felt that the sermon lacked emotion and authenticity, finding the computer voices to be unsettling.
 
Yuval Noah Harari, historian and professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, suggested that AI could be used to create a new Bible that will “be able to invent new concepts and beliefs that are more socially acceptable than the Bible,” according to the Christian Broadcast Network. Harari further noted that in the years to come AI could make religions that may be “actually correct” and asked the audience to consider what religion could look like “whose holy book is written by an AI.”
 
In March, a user on the popular gaming platform Twitch created an AI Jesus that other users could engage in a sort of question-and-answer game with the generated Jesus avatar, according to NBC News. Questions included asking for personal prayers and dating advice, and at one point AI Jesus was asked about the “trolley problem” where someone chooses whether to kill one person to save five others, with the avatar electing to not answer.
 
Closson explained to the DCNF that the avatar is not reflective of who Jesus is in the Bible, and as a result, misrepresents His character to viewers. He noted the danger of putting “moral platitudes into the mouth” of a generated Jesus.
 
Bock had similar concerns and warned politically motivated groups against making “Jesus in their own image.”
 
Michael Morris, Director of Media Research Center Free Speech America, told the DCNF that Big Tech has already shown they will censor anything they don’t agree with and religion is no exception.
 
“A major concern with artificial intelligence is that it works by collecting data that already exists and then supposedly synthesizes that information to provide some sort of average in response,” Morris said. “The risk lies in the fact that the very same companies, Big Tech companies, that are responsible for censoring conservative thought are the ones writing the algorithms for AI. So, the inherent, and growing danger, is how Big Tech will use AI technology to amplify what it is already actively doing to expunge conservative thought and ideas from the public conversation.”
 
While there are reasons to discourage religion’s inclusion of AI, Closson and Morris both agreed technology has been beneficial in some respects for the church. Closson notes that he saw how technology was able to bring the church together during COVID-19 with live streaming and Zoom, while Morris said technology gave the church a unique opportunity to reach a larger audience.
 
Bock, however, told the DCNF that because AI is programmed by a human being and Jesus is a divine being, we cannot replicate Christ’s character without distorting it to fit our agendas. Closson also noted that Christians “have their work cut out for them” as they navigate this new challenge.
 
“I think that there’s still enough of a consensus in America that it’s a good thing to have God on your side. It’s a good thing to have the Bible on your side,” Closson said before explaining that as tech continues to expand, “Christian ministers are going to have their work cut out for them to help people understand what the real Jesus actually taught on a host of issues.”

In Matthew 16:2-3, Jesus admonished us to discern the times. That means, pay attention to what’s going on. Study and apply God’s word. And pray about everything. Today, we see signs of distress all over the world. We can see in real time things the Bible long ago told us about. And it’s not pretty. Lawlessness, moral confusion, slander, deception, hedonism, uncontrolled rage, and cruelty fill our sightlines. These things are no longer theoretical events to be analyzed from a distance. They’re happening all around us, and it can be scary.
 
But danger does not diminish God’s care.
 
In Isaiah 41:10, He said, “Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” [NASB] We stand in the middle of a tsunami of end-time events. Even those who don’t understand what’s happening, sense something foreboding in the news and seemingly in the air. But, despite all that, God still says to His people, “I will help you… I will uphold you.”
 
Deuteronomy 33:26-27 gives the dramatic picture of the omnipotent God flying through the heavens to bring you help. “There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majesty. The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms.”
 
Jeshurun is a poetic term of endearment for Israel. The Septuagint translates it as “beloved one.” It literally means “the upright one.” If you have believed on Jesus, He has made you upright. He has given you the gift of His own righteous standing with God the Father.
 
And in time of need, He flies to your aid. He upholds you with His own perfect righteousness. His everlasting arms undergird your life. Those arms never tire, never grow weak. Psalms 121:4 says that He never slumbers. Psalms 100 says, “The Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” [NKJV] Everlasting mercy is mercy that never, ever ends.
 
Are we living in the last of the last days? Yes, I think we are. But “His precious and magnificent promises” (2 Peter 1:4) stand. Jesus remains your Good Shepherd (John 10:11). He’s still “the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). From Him still flows living water (John 4:10). You can still cast all your care on Him because He still cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
 
End time events should strengthen our faith and our resolve. The word on which we have based our lives is again proving to be true. Yes, evil men are doing evil things, but in Psalms 37:1, God still says, “Do not fret because of evildoers.”
 
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.”
 
We can confidently draw near Him because His is the throne of grace. At His throne, you will find grace to help in times of need. That includes now!

As America reflects ahead of Independence Day and where we are as a nation, it is sad that true Americans are vilified by a popular political “party,” and anything standing on ethics, morals and traditional values is ridiculed, mocked and frowned upon. This is a contradiction to the ideal of America. Those who first came to this new land were predominantly Christians who fled Europe because of religious persecution and/or the hope for a better life. This is documented through the writings of those who settled in Jamestown, Plymouth and even the Huguenots who settled in what is now Florida in the late 1500s. The “state of mind” of these early Americans was freedom of worship and enterprise.
 
Our first president, George Washington, gave great insight into what it means to be an American in his 1796 Farewell Speech. He said, “Citizens, by birth or choice, of a common country, that country has a right to concentrate your affections. The name of American, which belongs to you in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of patriotism more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles. You have in a common cause fought and triumphed together; the independence and liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.”
 
Washington pointed out that all citizens have independence and liberty in common. He said that for the most part, Americans share the same religion, manners, habits and political principles. That is, they were Christian; they were individualist, enterprising, and depended on the “national union” of our government “as of the palladium of your political safety and prosperity.” It is for this reason that Washington believed Americans should be watching for the nation’s “preservation with jealous anxiety…and indignantly frowning upon the first dawning of every attempt to alienate any portion of our country from the rest, or to enfeeble the sacred ties which now link together the various parts.”
 
The Founding Fathers envisioned a limited government where citizens would give up some independence for the protections needed to have a civil society. In this way, the Founders used Exodus 18:20-21 as a guide to establish our Republic, “And you shall teach them ordinances and laws, and shall show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them…” Self governance can only be accomplished through good citizenship. As you consider the present state of our nation and its leaders, perhaps measure them on the balance of Washington’s words and the premise of Exodus 18, and hold them accountable to the true American ideal.

I’ve flown in a lot of different planes, from big ones to very small ones. And something that all planes have is a warning system that alerts the pilot when something is going wrong.
 
In the same way, if you’re a child of God, then you will sense the conviction of the Holy Spirit when you begin to cross a line. Your conscience is the warning system God has built within you.
 
We find the infrastructure for our beliefs in the pages of Scripture, and God’s Holy Spirit works through our conscience to give us a sense of what is right and wrong. Thus, when we begin to do something that isn’t right, the Holy Spirit, through our conscience, tells us that it’s wrong.
 
Additionally, because we’re God’s children, the Bible says that God will discipline us. So, when we start to go astray, when we do something that is wrong, the Holy Spirit is there, lovingly yet firmly saying, “Don’t do that.”
 
But here’s the problem. If you’re not a believer, then you won’t sense any conviction at all. You will go out and do whatever you want to do, and your heart will be so hardened that you won’t even care.
 
Here’s what the Bible says about this: “If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all” (Hebrews 12:8 NLT).
 
If there is something you’ve been doing that you know is wrong, if God’s Holy Spirit has been telling you to stop but you’ve found a way to justify it, then I have one word for you: repent.
 
To repent means to change your direction. Stop doing what you’re doing, because if you don’t stop, your heart will grow more and more hardened. God is warning you for your own good.
