Quantum Computing and the Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy - Britt Gillette - http://www.end-times-bible-prophecy.com/quantum-computing-and-the-fulfillment-of-bible-prophecy.html
In a May blog post, Google unveiled its new Quantum AI Campus and announced its intent to build a million qubit, error-corrected quantum computer by 2029. A month later, IBM partnered with the United Kingdom on a $300 million quantum computing research initiative. Corporations all over the globe are investing resources in quantum computing and quantum computing applications. The reason is simple. Quantum computing promises to advance almost every field of human endeavor - from traditional industries such as banking and energy to new emerging industries such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. What is a Quantum Computer? Classical computers encode information in bits, represented as ones and zeroes. Quantum computers encode information in qubits, represented by the directional spin of an electron or the polarization of a photon. Unlike classic computer bits, quantum mechanics allow qubits to exist in both states simultaneously. So instead of representing either a one or a zero, a qubit can represent both simultaneously. Linking qubits together via quantum entanglement, this means quantum computers have the potential to exponentially exceed the computing power of the world's most powerful classical supercomputers. A few hundred qubits can represent more states than there are atoms in the universe. Why is This Important? So why should you care? Such a computer would be so powerful it could instantly break the most sophisticated encryption methods of the classical computer era. Imagine the military advantage a nation state would hold over its competitors if it developed quantum computing ahead of all others. It would have an overwhelming advantage. If corporations are openly discussing the arrival of quantum computing breakthroughs, what do think governments are doing? The United States, China, the EU, Russia, and others have far more resources than Google or IBM. Think they'll be willing to spend a few hundred billion on a crash program to speed up the development timeline? I think so. And a quantum computing arms race creates uncertainty, distrust, and instability. Welcome to the Era of Cyber Warfare Think about the problems and inconveniences created from short-lived disruptions in Internet service or utility operations. How long can you go without Internet, electricity, or water before a minor annoyance turns into a major crisis? Consider the impact of two recent ransomware attacks - one on the Colonial pipeline and the other on meat processor JBS. The Colonial pipeline attack took place on a Friday. By Tuesday, thousands of gas stations all over the East Coast of the United States were completely out of gasoline. JBS fixed its problems before any widespread meat shortages impacted consumers. But what if it hadn't? JBS accounts for more than 20% of U.S. beef and pork production. A prolonged shutdown of its operations would have resulted in shortages all across America. In both of events, it's believed criminal hackers were the culprits. No nation states had a role in the attack. Regardless, the Colonial pipeline and JBS ransomware attacks demonstrate just how vulnerable our systems are. Imagine what would happen in a full-blown cyber war. What would happen if your community lost electricity, water, and sewer service all at once? What if grocery stores went bare for weeks on end? The end result of a cyber war between major powers could be absolutely devastating. A New World Order When it comes to World War III or a serious military conflict between major world powers, many people live under a false sense of security. Conventional wisdom says World War III is certain to bring global nuclear destruction. And because of this, every leader on the planet is determined to avoid it at any cost. But is this true? Unfortunately, it's not. The current world order is based on MAD. MAD is the fear of total destruction and the idea no one can win a war between two nuclear powers. For 70 years, it's all that's kept us from World War III. But MAD won't keep the peace forever. It's based on technology. And that technology is on the verge of becoming obsolete. Like all previous military eras, the era of MAD will soon come to an end. To work, MAD relies on certainty. A nation must be certain it can launch a nuclear attack if threatened. Otherwise, an enemy nation could prevail in a first strike scenario. Likewise, the enemy nation must be certain it faces total annihilation if it launches a first strike. This certainty of "mutual assured destruction" is what's kept the world from destroying itself for over seven decades. Unfortunately, new technologies will soon eliminate this uncertainty. For example, nuclear armed submarines are the backbone of a nation's nuclear deterrent. A single nuclear armed sub can carry dozens of nuclear warheads several times more powerful than the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Such submarines patrol the planet's vast oceans where they're more than able to evade detection from enemy nations. At the very least, they create uncertainty in the eyes of the enemy, who can never be sure about their ability to disarm every such threat. But quantum computing will change that. It will accelerate the development of new technologies, such as quantum sensors. With powerful quantum sensors, a nation could detect every submarine on the planet. Once detected, those submarines could be disabled using other new technologies. For instance, quantum computing will also enable advanced modeling of chemical reactions. This will prove critical in the development of molecular manufacturing. With molecular manufacturing, even a small nation could quickly develop legions of tiny swarming drones capable of disarming and destroying any conventional weapon of today. The first nation to develop advanced quantum computers will have the inside edge in the development of these next generation technologies. And if corporations are openly discussing viable roadmaps to these technologies, nation states are even closer to developing them as military applications. Where We're Headed The rise of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, drone swarms, and other emerging technologies is a destabilizing event. Together, these new technologies will overturn the post-war stability of MAD. They make World War III inevitable. When the war ends, one nation will control all of humanity. That nation will be the leader in the development of these new military technologies. Does this surprise you? It shouldn't. The Bible says another world war is certain (Revelation 6:4). It also tells us one nation will control the earth in the aftermath (Revelation 13:7). Is this just a coincidence? No. It's just one of many signs pointing to the soon return of Jesus Christ. Jesus said when you see all the signs converge, His arrival is near (Luke 21:28). Those signs are converging for our generation. So take advantage of what little time we have left. Spread the Good News and tell others about Jesus. The time is short. Jesus is coming soon! Israel's New Government Is Among the Most Diverse in the History of Democracies - by Alan M. Dershowitz - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17472/israel-government-diversity I challenge anyone to name a parliamentary democracy that has had a more diverse coalition government -- racially, religiously, ethnically, ideologically, politically, national origin -- than the current Israeli government. It includes people of nearly every color from Black Ethiopians to brown Muslims to swarthy Sephardim to pale Russians. It includes a modern Orthodox Jew as Prime Minister, along with fundamentalist Muslims and atheist and agnostics Jews. It has a gay cabinet member, a deaf member of the Knesset and people who trace their roots to Asia, Africa, Europe and America. A record number of nine women will be serving in the new Israeli cabinet. The current Prime Minister is a right-winger. The Prime Minister designate who is currently Minster of Foreign Affairs, is a left-winger. Every shade of political opinion -- and there are many in Israel -- is represented in this government. The old expression "two Jews, three opinions" can now be changed to "20 Israeli cabinet members, 30 opinions" -- because each cabinet member represents multiple opinions within their parties. All the same, bigots, particularly on the hard left in the United States and Europe, insist on characterizing Israel as an apartheid state. Nothing could be further from the truth. Israel has real diversity, not the kind of phony diversity that characterizes many American institutions. American diversity is simply a euphemism for more Blacks, and especially more Blacks who hold the same views about political and racial matters. It has little to do with diversity of attitudes, experiences, views. The best evidence of this truism came from Google's appointment of a chief diversity officer who had expressed anti-gay and anti-Jewish views. It is inconceivable that Google with its vast resources and ability to check everything, did not know of his bigoted views. He is Black and that is all that diversity means at Google and many other American institutions. It is different in Israel, because Israel is such an inherently diverse nation that takes its diversity seriously. Does this mean that perfect equality has been achieved in the nation state of the Jewish people? Of course not. Like every democracy struggling with racial and ethnic issues. Israel is far from perfect. Its laws mandate equality, but discriminatory practices persist against certain groups of Jews and Muslims. Israel's courts consistently render decisions moving the country toward complete equality, but courts alone can never achieve that result. Moreover, Israel is the nation state of the Jewish people and as such can give equal civil, legal, religious, linguistic and political rights to its non-Jewish citizens, but it cannot give them equal national rights. The state was created to be Jewish in character and to never discriminate against Jews in immigration or religious rights. It is the only Jewish state in a world which discriminated against Jews for thousands of years and which stood by as six million of them were murdered. Many other nation, states and provinces around the world, with far less historical justification, have even greater national and religious characteristics. Every Muslim-majority nation is officially a Muslim state that bestows considerable benefits on members of that faith. England is an Anglican Christian state with an established religion. Catholicism is the official religion of several European countries. Many national flags and emblems have crosses, crescents or other distinctly religious symbols. Several particular national anthems refer to religion. Many countries have laws of return that favor certain ethnic and religious groups. Several Arab countries have religious restrictions and citizenship and land ownership. And on and on. But Israel is the only nation that is routinely condemned for its law of return, its observance of Jewish holidays, its flag and its exemption from military service for most Arabs (and Jews learning full-time in religious seminaries). Even with these limited and historically justified exceptions, Israel stands among the countries of the world most committed to achieving real equality for all its citizens. The good news is that Israel has finally achieved a government, and that the government is among the most diverse in the history of democracy. The bad news is that its very diversity -- particularly its political and ideological differences -- also make the government one of the most unstable in the history of democracy. It prevailed in the Knesset by a vote with 60 votes out of 120, with one abstention. So, stay tuned to see how the now government manages to survive the challenges of diversity. In the meantime, however, stop singling out Israel for demonization by mislabeling it as apartheid or undemocratic. The Single Best Thing Americans Can Do to Retake America – Dennis Prager - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=4787 The most frequent question people pose to me is: What can I/we do to fight back against the nihilistic anti-American destruction of virtually all the country's major institutions? There is an answer. The single best thing Americans can do to counter the left-wing attack on America -- against its freedoms, its schools, its families, its children, its governmental institutions, its sports, its news and entertainment media, its medical establishment, the CIA, the FBI, the State Department and the military -- is to take their children out of America's schools. Other than in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), the vast majority of America's elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities teach your child or grandchild almost nothing important; prematurely sexualize them, thereby robbing them of their innocence; and harm them intellectually and morally. They rarely teach them, for example, art or music because they are too busy teaching them race-centered hatred of whites, of America and of America's values. Sending your children to most American schools is playing Russian roulette with their values -- but unlike the gun in Russian roulette, which has a bullet in only one of its six chambers, the schools' guns hold four or five bullets. In many elementary schools, your child is taught that gender is chosen and that there is no difference between boys and girls (in a growing number of schools, the teachers are told not to call their students "boys and girls"); they are taught about masturbation; and many children from first grade on attend "Drag Queen Story Hour," wherein an obvious man wearing women's clothing, garish makeup and a wig entertains them. Given that all this is well-known, why do any nonleft -- meaning, liberal or conservative -- parents send their children to an American school? One reason is they are in denial. Many parents do not want to know what their children are being taught and the consequent damage done to them. They don't really believe school(s) will ruin their child, let alone their child's relationship with them. These parents should speak to any of the millions -- yes, millions -- of Americans whose children have contempt for America, for free speech and for their parents as a result of attending an American college or even high school. I meet such people at every speech I give, and I speak to them regularly on my radio show. Ask these parents, if they could redo their lives, whether they would keep their child in school. A second reason is they feel they have no choice. If they remove their child from the local public or private school (most private schools are just as committed to anti-American indoctrination over education as public schools), what will they do with their child? They often cannot find a local school that does not harm their child. They cannot necessarily even rely on Christian or Jewish schools. Most of them are as "woke" as most secular schools. And if they do find a school that teaches rather than poisons, they may not be able to afford the tuition. The only other option, then, is to home-school one's child. The problem is that many parents assume this is essentially impossible. For one thing, they assume that one of the parents would have to leave his or her work, which would mean a serious reduction in the family's income. In addition, home-schooling strikes most people as simply too daunting a task, even if they could afford to take it on. Neither fear is entirely justified. It is true that, at least at the outset, a working parent may have to cut back from full-time work, and it is true that no matter what the family's financial condition, there are challenges to taking one's children out of school and home-schooling them. But given the low intellectual state of most American schools, the damage they do to young children's innocence and the anti-American, anti-white, anti-Western indoctrination in most schools, if you are a parent of school-age children, “what is your choice?” Other than a) finding a good school that b) you can afford, you have no other choice. You are fooling yourself if you think the odds are that after attending American schools from kindergarten through college (not to mention through graduate school), your child will turn out well-educated, intellectually alive, rational, kind, happy, well-adjusted, grateful to be American and respectful of you and your values. While there are some wonderful young Americans who recently attended American schools, and there are some lost souls who were home-schooled, American schools are largely producing the following: Poorly educated students. Ask your college son or daughter to diagram a sentence; identify Joseph Stalin, "The Gulag Archipelago" or the Soviet Union; name the branches of the American government; identify -- or just spell -- Ludwig van Beethoven; date the Civil War; identify the Holocaust; and name which sentence is correct -- "He gave the book to my friend and me" or, "He gave the book to my friend and I." Angry young people. Why wouldn't they be? First, they graduate college with a huge load of debt, having received almost nothing useful for their money. Second, if they are anything other than a white heterosexual Christian male, they have been taught to regard themselves as victims of oppression. Third, their future is so bleak they may not even have one: They are threatened with extinction by climate change. The single best thing Americans can do to fight the left-wing destruction of the country is to withdraw from the "educational" system that is actively, deliberately miseducating them by the tens of millions. If millions of American parents did so, the country would turn around as fast as you could say "teachers unions." If they don't, their children will continue being used as guinea pigs in the left's sick and dystopian experiment. The Necessity of Proclaiming God’s Word in Biblical Times – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config/2021/6/11/proclaiming-gods-word-in-biblical-times Why do so many believers today remain blind to the numerous signs that we live in the last days? I believe a key reason for this lies with pastors and teachers today who in large numbers embrace amillennialism, a belief system that dismisses biblical prophecies related to Jesus’ thousand-year rule and the restoration of a kingdom for Israel. As a result, they regard the miraculous emergence of Israel as a nation as mere coincidence without any prophetic significance. It stands to reason that if one dismisses the most significant piece of God’s prophetic calendar, the miracle of Israel’s current existence, one will also miss all the many other signs that we live in the season of Jesus’ appearing. Scoffers claim that those of us with such awareness of the times interpret Scripture with a newspaper in one hand and the Bible in the other hand. However, just the opposite is true. Here are three key examples:
I could site many more examples of how a literal understanding of biblical prophecy has enabled prophecy watchers to know what the newspapers would report years in advance. But even more importantly, understanding what the Bible says about the news of today/tomorrow reassures us that God is in control as we watch events unfold just as He said would happen during the last days. Because we live in biblical times of the end, those who proclaim God’s Word must not keep silent regarding the signs that point to Jesus’ soon appearing and the start of the tribulation period. Below are a couple reasons why this is so essential! RECOGNIZING THE SIGNS While on earth, Jesus chastised the religious leaders of the day for not recognizing the numerous signs that their Messiah stood in their midst. In Matthew 16:1-4 we read: And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test him they asked him to show them a sign from heaven. He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed. Just like the Pharisees and Sadducees of Jesus’ day, many of those in places of spiritual leadership today dismiss the many and varied signs of Jesus’ soon return. I believe that Jesus’ message to pastors and teachers who today dismiss the significance of the reemergence of the nation of Israel would be quite similar to how He addressed the religious leaders of His day. Would He not also scold them for failing to recognize the signs of His Second Coming so clearly laid out in Scripture? Like the religious leaders in Jesus’ day, they scoff at the signs we present and as a result they may not awake until the ultimate sign of the rapture happens. There’s also an assumption among those who criticize those of us who recognize the signs of Jesus’ return that we seek to scare people rather than encourage them. Such is not the case. The state of our world lets us assure the saints that they can look up in eager anticipation of Jesus’ imminent appearing (Luke 21:28). The disturbing events of our day signal the nearness of Jesus’ appearing to take us to the place He’s now preparing for us (John 14:1-3). What an amazing and joyful expectation!! The signs of the last days should encourage our hearts even as we watch the world race toward the seven-year tribulation (1 Thess. 4:18; 5:11). Jesus is coming for us before the terrible day of the Lord (1 Thess. 5:9-10). TEACHING GOD’S WORD IN VIEW OF THE SIGNS OF JESUS’ RETURN There’s a phrase in Jesus’ parable in Matthew 24:45-50 that the Lord keeps bringing to my mind as a way of prompting me to write about it. The words appear in verse 45 where Jesus asks, “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?” (Emphasis mine) The Greek word for “proper time” is kairos, which denotes an opportune or seasonable time. The word does not depict time on a clock, but rather the appropriate occasion or opportunity for something to take place. The current season of Jesus’ soon appearing calls for the inclusion of biblical prophecy in the diet that spiritual leaders provide to those under their care. The “faithful and wise servant,” therefore, is the one who watches for the coming of “the Son of Man” (v. 44) and as the signs multiply regarding the nearness of his Lord’s return, he adjusts the “food” he sets before those whom he serves so that it corresponds with the nearness of Jesus’ return. I interpret Jesus’ words here as a warning that those of us who today minister God’s Word to others have a particular responsibility to instruct others about the Lord’s soon return and warn them regarding the soon start of the tribulation period. I believe Jesus’ parable, recorded in Matthew 24:45-50, strongly cautions Bible-believing pastors and teachers against repeating the error of the Pharisees and Sadducees (see Matt. 16:1-4) who did not recognize their Messiah despite the many ways He fulfilled Old Testament Scripture. In centuries past, it was enough to emphasize the Gospel past and present with a light emphasis on the future tense of the Gospel. We revere great preachers such as Charles Spurgeon for his clarity on the good news of salvation and we very much need his razor-sharp biblical insight into God’s grace and eternal security today. However, along with Spurgeon-like insight into God’s steadfast love and mercy, we also need sound teaching on future things. So many pastors either ignore the signs of the end times or cloak biblical prophecies under a mysterious veil of allegory so that those texts have no relevance to us today. They treat biblical prophecy as a code, especially the book of Revelation, that only they can fully understand. In the end, their message lacks any comforting value for those of us in the twenty-first century. Those who dismiss 90% of the book of Revelation as allegory should not expect those to whom they minister to find even a smidgen’s worth of encouragement in remaining 10%. That’s because such an approach places the rest of John’s message under a shroud of uncertainty. For example, if the apostle’s description of the New Jerusalem is not a physical one, but only symbolical pertaining to another reality, how can one have any confidence in John’s other descriptions of the eternal state in Revelation 21-22? How can we trust the precious words of Revelation 21:4 if other key promises contained in these chapters are allegories subject to the varied interpretation of others? The bottom line is this: we are not free to interpret the book of Revelation anyway we please and expect that to inspire hope in those who hear or relieve their fears. One thousand years means one thousand years; it’s not the eternal state but rather Jesus’ millennial reign that precedes it. Forty-two months means forty-two months; forty-two months is most certainly not the church age; it signifies three and a half years just as the text tells us. If we cannot trust the words we see on the pages of Scripture, then whose interpretation of them do we believe? Several varied prophetic schemes have arisen from allegorical ways of looking at the book of Revelation. If words don’t mean what they appear to mean, how do we know which one of them is correct? Not only that, a wide variance of opinion exists among them as to what is literal and symbolical. With the use of allegory, we have no objective basis to know what a text really means. God’s inspiration of His Word applies to the very words of the prophetic texts of the Bible, to the intent of the human author. The Lord does not give us license to change to meaning of a text so that it has no relevance whatsoever to the words we see in front of us. Jesus warned against such allegorical interpretations of the last book of the Bible in Revelation 22:18-19. Do not symbolical understandings of Revelation take “away from the words of this book of prophecy?” Yes, they certainly do. I suspect many will scoff at me for writing these things, but I must write what I believe the Lord lays on my heart. I know that we live in biblical times, the season of Jesus’ return and although I may not get everything totally correct, I am persuaded of the truth of Scripture and that Jesus is coming for His church in the near future. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away” (Matt. 24:35). He spoke those words after talking about the tribulation and the signs of His return to earth. As we watch the precursors to these tribulation events erupt all around us, how can we conclude anything else apart from the fact that we live in the last days of human history? If you do not yet know the Lord as your Savior, please see my previous post where after comparing the Great Reset with the Great Renewal, I explain how you can become a child of God. Daily Jot: The Farm Chronicles: Rafts and leadership – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com I’m staring down, watching the logs on which I am standing disappear beneath the murky pond water. Slowly, as I push out even deeper hoping the raft would somehow miraculously float, the raft, though I was still standing on it, was deeper and deeper in the water. Soon, the water was edging up over the top of the barn boots Mom had recently bought me a Skorman’s Miracle Mart in Ravenna. I could feel the water seeping over and into my boots, down my legs and filling up around my socks. All I could think about was how much trouble I was going to be in when Mom and Dad found out that my buddies and I were playing in the pond again. But there was yet another lesson reserved for that day. We were about 9 years old—two friends from school, Brian and Greg—and had been religiously watching episodes of Daniel Boone. And on this Saturday, we were having an adventure at the farm. Of course, among running around the woods in stocking caps with wash clothes hanging out the back (our coonskin caps) and carrying long sticks (sometimes doubling as flint-lock rifles), we happened along the creek. This is what gave us the great brainstorm idea to build a raft and cross the pond in it. Can’t be that hard, Daniel Boone and Mingo could do it. We should quickly build a raft and cross the great lake, thus evading a marauding band of bad guys who were tracking us down in the wilderness. We spent the afternoon building the raft, a great ship, I might add, on the banks of the lake (the pond). We found small logs and dragged them up to our campsite. We “borrowed” a few 2 X 4s, a hammer, and some nails from a settler in the clearing (my Dad’s workshed). By the time we were finished, the raft was about four feet long and three feet wide. Then we had to decide who would be Captain of the ship, so to speak. We all wanted to be Captain until I said, “Well, we don’t know if this raft will float or sink. The Captain of the ship has to be willing to go down with the ship.” All of a sudden, I was voted to be Captain. We dragged the raft to edge of the pond and pushed it in. And it floated, that is, it floated really well until I stepped onto it and shoved off with my flint-lock rifle, now a push pole. And now my boots were full with water rising. Brian and Greg ran off to the barn in search of a plank that I could use to get off the raft and walk to dry land. Well, that’s what they said, anyway. I didn’t see them again until I sloshed up to the house, soaked to the waist. Deuteronomy 31:8 says that the Lord “will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” Something I learned about leadership that day—a few things. One: count the cost and see the end in the beginning. Two: While you can count on the Lord to always be with you, you might not be able to count on your friends. Three: Courage and hope will get you out of a lot of tight situations. That raft floated around in the pond for years as a reminder of the day I went down with the ship and my lesson in leadership. Daily Devotion: A Step in the Wrong Direction - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. —Luke 24:13–14 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/a-step-in-the-wrong-direction/ - Listen The two disciples on the road to Emmaus still felt devastated by what they saw in Jerusalem. They had witnessed Jesus hanging on that cross, and they wanted to get away. They wanted to get away from the pain, away from the trauma. We don’t know who these two were, but we do know that one of them was named Cleopas. At the empty tomb, Jesus had given this message to the women: “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there” (Matthew 28:10 NLT). But these two weren’t waiting in Galilee or hanging out in Jerusalem. They were just leaving town. And what was true of these first-century disciples is also true of us today: every step away from the cross is a step in the wrong direction. When you’re feeling down, when you’re hurting, or when you’ve failed spiritually, that is not the time to walk away from the cross. That is the time to run to it. Here’s the devil’s strategy. He’ll whisper something in your ear along the lines of, “Hey, you’re doing great spiritually. You’re awesome! Look at how much you read the Bible. Look at how strong you are. You don’t even need to go to church this week. You don’t need to pray. You’re good. You’re solid.” But what he’s really saying to you is “stay away from the cross. Don’t go to the cross and repent of your sin.” These are all lies. The devil will tell you to stay away from the cross while the Holy Spirit tells you to run to it. Go to the Father through Jesus Christ, and remember what He did for you. Ask Him to forgive you of your sin because, whether you realize it or not, you sin every day. We always need to go to the cross. FROM THE HEART Let Us Make the Short Time We have Left, Count for ALL of Eternity!
