Silencing the Remnant Church – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config
Jan Markell has made popular the term “remnant church,” which refers to today’s minority of saints who maintain beliefs in the pre-Tribulation Rapture, a literal seven-year Tribulation, and the thousand-year reign of Jesus over the earth before the eternal state. As many of you can attest, those of us in this group have been disenfranchised, or ostracized, by churches that claim to believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture. Its leaders often scoff at our beliefs and forbid any teaching that goes against their covenant theology, which claims that the church is now God’s kingdom on the earth and designates the Millennium as either the church age or the eternal state. How did we get to this place? Why are we regarded as outcasts in churches that claim to believe the Bible and in many cases faithfully proclaim the saving message of the cross? I believe we can find some answers to these questions in 3 John, in a little-known pastor named Diotrophes who personifies many church leaders today, particularly those immersed in the aforementioned covenant theology. When I wrote the chapter on Diotrophes for my book Cancel This!, I didn’t yet realize how closely his behavior aligns with today’s pastors and elder boards that effectively silence the voices those of us who long for Jesus’ appearing. WHO IS DIOTROPHES? Although very few believers recognize the name, Diotrophes’ behavior provides us with an abundance of insights into those that rule over the body of Christ rather than serve those that the Lord places under their care. Here’s what we know about Diotrophes from 3 John 9-10:
Why did he have such a contemptuous view of John? We know that the apostle was about ninety years old at the time, which leads many to suggest that the much younger Diotrophes believed he knew much better how to conduct the affairs in his church than the aged apostle. Diotrophes didn’t want anyone to interfere in how he ran his church, even if it was one of the Lord’s select apostles or an itinerate preacher passing through his town. WHEN ELDER-LED SIGNIFIES RULING RATHER THAN SERVING Although I agree that an elder form of church leadership has biblical merit, I have observed that when the pastoral staff and board regard the church as a kingdom, they often see themselves as rulers rather than shepherds. Please understand that shepherds lead, they never rule. The result of such domineering leadership is that those in the chairs have no say in the staffing of the church; the elders make all decisions concerning the mission and affair of the church. Because the staff and elders themselves have the final say in who joins their select group, they become a self-propagating group that strictly maintains the company line of covenant theology. Additions to the pastoral staff are announced to the church and it’s often the case that they have received training at a seminary that teaches covenant theology. The ruling board at such institutions often becomes an ingrown clique that excludes all viewpoints with which they disagree. This dictatorial approach to church leadership might seem okay when all their beliefs are biblically sound, but what if they are not? What if they have unbiblical views of the Rapture and Tribulation, such as those that hold to covenant theology? What if the pastor believes one can lose his or her salvation? In either case, there’s no room for a dissenting voice or for a discussion of what the Bible teaches. If one happens to have gray hair, it’s all the more the reason for Diotrophes-like pastors/elders to dismiss that person as a nobody with little value, just as this elder from long ago treated the aged Apostle John with much disdain. Based on the emails I have received, I know many of you in the remnant community have experienced such disrespect. AN EXAMPLE Here’s an example of how a covenant pastor might mute the voices of the remnant church. An elder-led church votes to call someone as their pastor; let’s say he claims to be premillennial (one who believes the Second Coming happens between the seven-year Tribulation and thousand-year reign of Jesus). What’s not clear at the time is that the candidate believes the eternal state equals the millennium, which signifies that he doesn’t have a literal view of Revelation 20:1-10, or of most of the last book of the Bible. He adheres to something called “covenant premillennialism,” a term that never existed in church until the past fifty years or so. Once a covenant theologian pastor leads a congregation, he’s able to change the direction of the church, especially if he’s highly skilled in communication and forceful. He’s able to control the selection of other pastoral staff and those that serve on the elder board. Because they lack in-depth biblical training in matters such as the Rapture, Tribulation, and Millennium, most of the members in the church go along with the new direction. Those that understand the biblical basis for these things soon realize that something’s wrong with the teaching they hear. The pastors of churches immersed in covenant theology are often excellent speakers and godly men that draw many people to their churches. Many, however, mistake this aura of success as affirmation for their covenant theology and the exclusion of other viewpoints. Sadly, the members of such places never hear of the over-the-top joy that awaits them in eternity and find no consolation that comes from understanding how the current events of our day fit like a glove with what the Bible says about the days leading up to the seven-year Tribulation. THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN DIOTROPHES AND DOMINEERING ELDER BOARDS Below is a table showing the similarities between Diotrophes and domineering elder boards that are immersed in covenant theology or it offshoots such as Preterism or Dominion Theology. A significant reason that many “remnant believers” have no church home today is that the staff and elders of the church they attend, or once attended, follow the example of Diotrophes. They “lord it over” people like kings ruling over small kingdoms. The members have no say whatsoever in the staffing, the direction of the church, or its missional agenda. SHEPHERDS LEAD; THEY NEVER “LORD IT OVER” THE SHEEP I’m not an expert on church leadership, but I am aware of how an empowered elder board, particularly one immersed in covenant theology, silences the voices the of the remnant church. It’s domineering spirit is light-years away from the what Lord said about servant leadership. In Mark 10: 42-45, Jesus said this about those that would lead His sheep: “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” The Apostle Peter understood what the Savior meant about leadership. In 1 Peter 5:1-10, he instructed that those who serve as elders copy the humble example of the Savior rather than domineer over those in their charge. I read these verses at least once a week because I need the constant reminder that I’m a servant and that the Lord deserves all the glory for everything He accomplishes through me. This domineering style of leadership often expresses itself in how pastors bring up the matter of future things in their sermons. I find it more than a little curious that in churches that proclaim our hope in Jesus’ imminent appearing, one often hears reference to other viewpoints. When the topic of future things comes up, pastors in such places often acknowledge the existence of other viewpoints. They are confident that what they believe aligns with God’s Word and willing to defend what they believe. In churches devoted to covenant theology (or Preterism or Dominion Theology), however, there’s never a mention of other viewpoints nor is there a defense of what it believes. It’s always presented as though it’s fact as though no other belief exists. THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST, NOT A KINGDOM The New Testament, however, is clear that our inheritance of the kingdom lies in the future rather than the present. In 1 Corinthians 15:47-55, the Apostle Paul tells us that we cannot inherit the kingdom until Jesus appears for His church and gives us imperishable and incorruptible bodies. His words cannot possibly be misconstrued to mean anything else; we cannot inherit the Lord’s kingdom until after the event Paul describes in these verses, which we today refer to as the “Rapture” of the church. The fact that we are coheirs with Christ (Roman 8:17) signifies that we don’t yet possess the kingdom. Is that not what it means to be heirs? The New Testament never refers to the church as a kingdom, not once, but repeatedly identifies it as the “body of Christ.” Jesus is the only head of the church; He’s the only one that rules. The whole point of the gifts of the Spirit is that we are all equal under His authority albeit with differing roles based on our gifts and places of service. The apostle’s words in Romans 12:3-8 eloquently describe how the Lord intends the body of Christ to operate with all the parts serving with humility: For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. While you’re likely to hear an emphasis on spiritual gifts in churches immersed in covenant theology, the equality that Paul stresses in the above passage doesn’t exist. The pastoral staff and elders rule and if you use your gift to further their ministry programs and agenda, all is well. But woe to the one that suggests a viewpoint that opposes the company line! How dare that person question anything we do at our church! I speak as one whose voice has been silenced in the churches I have attended during the past five years, and perhaps that taints my viewpoint somewhat. On the other hand, I recognize the spirit of Diotrophes that exists when pastors and/or elder boards dictate everything that happens in a church and rule rather than lead and serve. As I mentioned earlier, there’s biblical merit in elder-led churches, but most definitely not in the domineering way it’s practiced in many churches today. And it’s certainly not honoring to the Lord when such churches silence the saints who make up today’s remnant church and watch for Jesus’ imminent appearing. Thanks so much for reading! Maranatha! I provide a detailed defense of the Pretribulation viewpoint in: The Triumph of the Redeemed-An eternal Perspective that Calms Our Fears in Perilous Times. I demonstrate, using an abundance of quotes, that the belief in a thousand-year reign of Jesus dominated the church during its first three hundred years. The historic view of the millennium is a literal view of Revelation 20:1-10 that places it between the Tribulation and the eternal state. There’s no such thing as a “historic premillennialism” that denies a literal interpretation of this text. Even though inflation is out of control, the commercial real estate market is in free fall, corporate bankruptcies are surging, and large businesses all over America are conducting mass layoffs, we are being told that everything is just peachy. For example, the following comes from a recent NPR article entitled “What recession? It’s a summer of splurging, profits and girl power”… The numbers are in and things look surprisingly rosy for the U.S. economy: The Federal Reserve is still cautious, but big brands – including Coca-Cola, Hilton and Visa — are singing praises to shoppers seemingly undeterred by companies’ raising prices. What’s more, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Barbie are enticing people to part with their money, bolstering local businesses. Yes, “girl power” is supposedly saving the U.S. economy. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Unfortunately, it just isn’t true. Here are 10 signs that the mainstream media is not telling you the truth about the economy… #1 When the economy is doing well, there is a tremendous demand for trucking. But when the economy is tanking, trucking companies often get into serious trouble. So it is a very bad sign that “one of the country’s oldest and largest trucking businesses” is literally on the brink of collapse… Yellow, one of the country’s oldest and largest trucking businesses, is preparing to file for bankruptcy and may collapse within days, leaving some 30,000 workers without jobs. The nearly 100-year-old company is known for its competitive pricing and has more than 12,000 trucks shipping freight across the US for brands including Walmart and Home Depot. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is preparing to file for bankruptcy and is in the process of selling off other parts of the business. #2 You can add Anheuser-Busch to the rapidly growing list of large companies that are conducting mass layoffs… Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, announced it will lay off 350 employees, many of them in corporate positions, as it seeks to recover from the fallout over a campaign involving a trans influencer. #3 The number of large corporate debt defaults so far this year has already exceeded the grand total for the entire year of 2022… The total amount of corporate debt defaults in the United States this year have already exceeded the amount seen in 2022. Experts have been warning of a wave of defaults to hit the economy for some time due to higher borrowing rates. At least fifty-five American-based companies defaulted on their loans in the first half of 2023, according to data from Moody’s Investors Services. That is a 53 percent increase from the total number of defaults last year, when just 36 companies said they would fail to repay their debt obligations to lenders. #4 The cost of living continues to soar. CNBC is reporting that vehicle repair costs have risen by nearly 20 percent over the past 12 months… Car repair costs are up almost 20% in the past year, according to the consumer price index — more than six times the national inflation rate and among the largest annual price increases of any household good or service. So, what’s driving up prices? It’s a combination of factors, experts said. Some emerged in the pandemic era while others are longer-term trends in the auto market, they said. #5 More than three-quarters of a million households in the state of California are behind on their rent, and now it appears that a tsunami of mass evictions is coming… More than 768,000 households are behind on rent in the Golden State, with debts totaling more than $5 billion, putting approximately 721,000 children at risk of eviction, according to the National Equity Atlas—a collaborative data and analytics tool founded by Oakland-based Policy Link and the University of Southern California Equity Research Institute. Residents in the City of Los Angeles are facing a deadline of Aug. 1 to repay all rental debt accrued between March 2020 and September 2021, with that from October 2021 to January 31, 2023, due by February 2024. #6 Electric vehicles were supposed to be the wave of the future, but Ford is going to lose 4.5 billion dollars on electric vehicles this year alone… Ford Motor Company announced it is projected to lose a whopping $4.5 billion from electric vehicles (EVs) this year, up from the previous projected loss of $3 billion. The company released its second-quarter financial results on Thursday. The U.S.-based automaker’s EV division, called “Ford Model e,” has lost $1.8 billion so far this year, according to Fortune. #7 A yield curve inversion normally means that a recession is coming, and right now the yield curve is the most inverted that it has been in more than 40 years… How big is big when it comes to the latest inversion? To measure the magnitude of the inversion, a time series of the gap between the yields on a long-term and a short-term is calculated. The most common-used measure of this is the gap between the 10-year Treasury and the 3-month Treasury. If we graph this difference between the 10-year and the 3-month, we can see that we’re now experiencing the largest inversion in more than 40 years #8 Just like we saw in 2008, home foreclosures are starting to surge… Home foreclosures have shot up for the second year in a row – as concerns grow that owners are sitting on a ‘negative equity timebomb.’ Figures from data firm ATTOM show that around 186,000 foreclosures have been filed in the first six months of the year. The trend is being driven by an uncertain housing market and soaring mortgage rates. #9 I have repeatedly warned my readers that we are in the early stages of the worst commercial real estate crisis in U.S. history, and now one expert is comparing it to a “Category 5 hurricane”… Starwood Capital Group’s Barry Sternlicht recently told Bloomberg’s David Rubenstein about the ongoing crisis in the commercial real estate sector, equating it to a severe “Category 5 hurricane”. He cautioned, “It’s sort of a blackout hovering over the entire industry until we get some relief or some understanding of what the Fed’s going to do over the longer term.” Currently, the biggest problem in the CRE space is sliding office and retail demand in downtown areas. Couple that with high-interest rates, and there’s a disaster lurking for building owners. #10 According to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, the number of announced job cuts in the United States during the first half of this year was 244 percent higher than the number of announced job cuts during the first half of last year… Employers have announced 458,209 cuts so far this year, a 244% increase from the 133,211 cuts announced through June 2022. It is the highest first-half total since 2020, when 1,585,047 cuts were recorded. With the exception of 2020, it is the highest January to June total since 2009, when 896,675 job cuts were announced. Considering all of the facts that I just shared with you, how in the world can anyone possibly claim that the U.S. economy is heading in the right direction? It just doesn’t make any sense. Of course those that work for the mainstream media can write anything that they want. But that doesn’t mean that we have to believe them. We live in a time of great deception, and it is only going to get worse. If you think that things are bad now, just wait until we get to this time next year. With the presidential election looming, the mainstream media will be desperate to portray the Biden administration in a good light. But no amount of spin can change the truth. The U.S. economy really is in big trouble, and very dark storm clouds are gathering on the horizon. Prophecy Update Videos Must Watch Videos! Videos You Can Trust

Nearing Midnight: Witchcraft and the Occult Gets a New Facelift and a New Outlet – Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/ Witchcraft, also known as Wicca or Paganism, is difficult to quantify in terms of popularity because it is a decentralized and diverse spiritual practice with a wide range of beliefs and practices. However, it is generally accepted that the popularity of Witchcraft has been growing steadily in recent years. According to a 2014 Pew Research Center survey, approximately 0.4% of the U.S. adult population, or about 1 to 1.5 million people, identify as Wiccans or Pagans. However, this number may be an underestimate, as many people who practice Witchcraft do not necessarily identify as Wiccan or Pagan. The popularity of Witchcraft can be seen in the increasing number of books, websites, and social media platforms related to the subject. Additionally, Witchcraft has become more mainstream and accepted in popular culture, with TV shows, movies, and books featuring witches and witchcraft becoming increasingly popular. At one time, it was very difficult to purchase books on the occult because most bookstores and publishers refused to deal with material that had a demonic label. Jimmy Page has been a devoted follower of the occultist Aleister Crowley. To get his hands on books by Crowley and other devilish works, Page opened in London an occult bookshop and publishing house called The Equinox Booksellers and Publishers. Some of Crowley’s books were so rare, Page had to go to auctions and outbid everyone with his Led Zeppelin money. The Equinox was never designed to be a profitable venture but just to exist so it could distribute these books. Page wrote in an autobiography that there was not one bookshop in London with a good collection of occult books, and he was frustrated at not being able to get the books he wanted. Today, books on Witchcraft and the Occult are a mouse click away. Amazon has become a massive powerhouse in book sales. The company is responsible for over 50% of sales from the Big Five publishers and controls between 50% and 80% of the book distribution in the United States. Amazon sells at least 300 million print books every year. It’s clear that Amazon sells numerous books on the dark arts because subjects like Wicca, Witchcraft, Paganism, and Satanism have their own categories. Many of the books rank very high on the overall sales list. One book that has been out for 8 years is still ranked at #1,134. Many of the books use clever new ploys to get around “Stigmation, misunderstanding, discrimination” by what I would assume are Christians. Books are often labeled as workbooks, so you can purchase a “Guided Astrology Workbook” and a witchcraft workbook. It’s the same old subject but with a more classroom approach. Some books offer people the ability to cast spells with green plants, herbs, and crystals. I was most amazed by the book Spirits Beside Us: Gain Healing and Comfort from Loved Ones in the Afterlife. It teaches people how to communicate with the dead, which is something the Bible strictly forbids. Someone may think they have contacted their dead grandmother, but the being in the other realm may have horns growing out of its head. I found one type of book that only had a slight connection to the occult, but it’s very popular. It’s called shadow work, and it was #1 in the category of Spirituality. Shadow work is a term used to describe the process of exploring and integrating the unconscious or hidden parts of oneself. These hidden parts, also known as the “shadow,” contain aspects of our personality and emotions that we may have repressed or denied due to societal or personal conditioning. Shadow work involves delving into these aspects of ourselves through self-reflection, introspection, and other therapeutic techniques. It can involve identifying and confronting negative patterns of behavior, thought, and emotions, and working to understand and integrate them into our conscious awareness. The mixture of psychology and spiritual self-help is dangerous because it can identify a problem, but it cannot provide a solution that will ultimately work. I used to think that all occult practices were a bunch of harmless nonsense. Spells don’t work, people don’t get insights into secret knowledge, and I doubt anyone has ever turned their enemy into a black cat. Then I learned of the tragedy that often comes to people who dabble in the occult. If you invite demonic forces into your life, they will cause problems because of their evil nature. The Bible warns that our main struggle in this world is with fallen angels that seek our destruction. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Staggering Degree Of Biblical Illiteracy: Poll Finds Fewer and Fewer Americans Believe in Hell and the Devil – By David Fiorazo - https://harbingersdaily.com/staggering-degree-of-biblical-illiteracy-poll-finds-fewer-and-fewer-americans-believe-in-hell-and-the-devil/ Belief in hell and the devil just sank to new lows. A new poll from Gallup reveals that more Americans reject biblical truth and spiritual reality apparently to conveniently ignore any consequences for how they live their lives. It may not be surprising fewer and fewer people believe in God, angels, heaven, hell, and the devil. The recent poll finds they are down to new lows. These drops in percentage may not seem significant or dramatic, but the outright darkness, deception, delusion, and depravity in America coincides with the declining numbers. Going back over twenty years when Gallup first polled Americans on belief in these religious entities (2001), this is the lowest point in the poll. Here’s the breakdown from high to low: 74% believe in God 69% in angels 67% in heaven 59% in hell 58% in the devil Belief in God and heaven is down the most (16 points each), while belief in hell has fallen 12 points. Is this simply a result of the world having more influence over the church than the church has over the world? Perhaps. Nearly three in 10 do not believe in hell or the devil. Not surprisingly, belief in the five spiritual truths was highest among frequent churchgoers. But the message in God’s inspired word doesn’t seem to be reaching the culture and there are several reasons for it. This poll reveals in part the consequences of compromising church leadership as reported in last year’s Barna research on pastors. They found only 37% of Christian pastors have a biblical worldview. On the other hand, a majority of church leaders (62%) possess what is referred to as a “hybrid worldview” known as Syncretism, having a combination of different forms of belief or practice, often representing personal preferences. This is also known as creating a god in your own image. As Barna concluded, with many American pastors, they lack biblical understanding and do not teach sound doctrine and therefore, “so few people in the nation’s youngest generations are developing a heart and mind for biblical principles and ways of life.” This is just one reason the new Gallup poll found only about half – just 51 percent of Americans believe in all five spiritual entities mentioned earlier, and 11 percent do not believe in any at all. The survey also found that frequent churchgoers including Protestants, nondenominational Christians, and Republicans are most likely to say they do believe in those five key truths. Breaking down the numbers by political affiliation, an average of 83 percent of Republicans believe. In contrast, roughly 60 percent of Democrats say they believe in God, angels and heaven, while less than half say they believe in hell and the devil. Sounds pretty convenient. Adults aged 55 and older are most likely to believe, and we can easily conclude that they were the least deceived, programmed, indoctrinated, and lied to generation in recent history. But there’s a faulty assumption that needs to be pointed out. Many poll results such as this one are worded as if those who are less educated are foolish for trusting in God and believing the Bible. The exact wording from this particular article is: “Adults without a college degree are also more likely than college graduates to believe in each of the five entities.” In reality, some of the most educated and intelligent people on earth are also the most lacking in discernment and most ignorant of truth and spiritual things. Jesus experienced the same thing in His day and even the studied religious leaders did not or could not recognize the Messiah right in front of them. God’s word in 1 Corinthians 3:18-19 states: “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God…” Another very interesting takeaway from the Gallup poll results is it demonstrates our general lack of biblical worldview as a church. An extremely high 94% of “other Christian” and Protestants say they believe in God. This is good! And yet, here’s another disconnect: only 80% believe in the devil (81% believe in hell). Why does this matter? Because God’s word in its entirety is true and is everlasting. If you don’t believe parts of what the Bible teaches, then how can you trust in Jesus for salvation? In the church, where we are supposed to be rooted and grounded in Scripture, we have an unfortunate degree of biblical illiteracy. Even many “religious” people don’t want to believe that the devil and hell exist. It’s too theologically messy. These professing Christians are not equipped, nor are they prepared to discern spiritual warfare let alone combat the enemy. The Bible teaches that believers who know the truth can recognize the enemy’s plots and schemes. If we resist the devil, we are promised that he will flee from us (James 4:7). One of the last things the Apostle Peter instructed believers in the early church to do was to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).” Deception is rampant. Today more than ever we must not only know what we believe, but why we believe it. Just because some people don’t believe in God or the devil, heaven or hell doesn’t change the integrity of the Bible or the fact it’s true. Sadly, some folks will have a rude awakening soon. Daily Jot: Enough Grandstanding - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com In a July 24 interview on FOX’s “Hannity,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said that the mounting evidence of corruption against Joe Biden is “rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress with the strongest power to obtain the knowledge and information needed for oversight.” Thank you, Captain Obvious. Where has McCarthy been? Has he any idea that the information coming out these days about Biden and his crime family was documented and corroborated even before the 2020 Presidential Election? That this information is just confirmation of what was known before Biden was “elected”? McCarthy is finally coming to the conclusion that most discerning Americans already knew. McCarthy told Sean Hannity, “We would know none of this if Republicans had not taken the majority,” McCarthy emphasized, “this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress with the strongest power to obtain the knowledge and information needed for oversight.” McCarthy was referring specifically to all the bribe money that Joe Biden and his family received while he was Barack Obama’s Vice President. Maybe the details weren’t known, but the general information was readily available prior to the 2020 election. The FBI, which was accused at the time of withholding information and actually denying the Hunter Biden laptop story, was stonewalling anything that would help President Trump be reelected. The mainstream news media, as they continue today, outright censored reporting of the story. Leading up to the 2020 election, the news media and deep state were caught red-handed suppressing information that democrat Joe Biden was totally compromised by communist China and Russia through his dealings to enrich his family with son Hunter as a conduit. The facts surrounding this corruption come from at least four sources: 1) Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Committee on Finance investigation; 2) Hunter Biden’s laptop; 3) Hunter Biden’s former business partner Bevan Cooney, who is serving time for the very business dealings Hunter and he did; and 4) Former business partner Tony Bobulinski’s emails and eyewitness accounts. McCarthy is just playing politics. Americans do not need another impeachment show-trial that will go nowhere. We don’t need another Special Counsel that will find nothing and end up protecting the guilty. The pressure needs to be applied to the jurisdictions where these crimes were committed, charges brought, indictments made, and trials conducted. If found guilty put them in jail where they belong. A sense of urgency is necessary because these people undermine the national security every day they remain free. Politicians on both sides seem more interested in the show rather than the truth. As Habakkuk 1:4 says, “Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Enough grandstanding Mr. McCarthy, let’s just get on with it. Daily Devotion: Revived and Refreshed - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org The instructions of the LORD are perfect, reviving the soul. —Psalm 19:7 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/revived-and-refreshed/ - Listen If you’ve ever been in the hot sun and then dove into the ocean, a lake, or a swimming pool, you know what it feels like to be revived and refreshed. I love the word refresh. It’s such a perfect term to describe starting again or returning to something. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” (Matthew 11:28–30 NLT). Could you use some spiritual refreshment? The place to find it is God Himself. The psalmist David wrote, “The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul” (Psalm 19:7 NLT). We will find spiritual refreshment when we read and study the Bible. We don’t always have an emotional experience when we open God’s Word and read it. But this isn’t about emotions. It’s about replenishment, restoration, and gaining perspective on life. It’s about getting direction from the Lord. And as you open the Bible, the Word of God, it will refresh your soul. You also will be spiritually refreshed when you think of others more than yourself. This may seem counterintuitive in today’s selfie culture. But when we stop thinking about ourselves so much and instead think about others, it will refresh us. As we give to others, we’ll find that we’re spiritually replenished (see Proverbs 11:25). Do you need a spiritual reboot? Spend time in God’s presence. Study the Word of God. Put the needs of others above your own. Then you will find spiritual refreshment. What on earth are you doing for Heaven's Sake? "Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!" "Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update. I ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with us to get the Word out and keep the world informed. Remember, your gift, no matter how small, does make a difference! You will be helping to touch lives, around the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to the internet your generosity carries a global impact! - Thanks! Our Prayer for You- "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:10-13 If you have been blessed by Prophecy Update and would like to help support this ministry financially.
