Wars & Rumors of Wars – A.V. Rauf - https://bibleprophecyfortoday.com/2024/01/20/wars-rumor-of-wars/
As we have entered the year 2024, it seems as if there has been an escalation in hostility between several nations. As I write this ,the nation of Somalia is threatening to go to war with Ethiopia, North Korea continues to threaten war against South Korea, Venezuela threatens war with Guyana in South America. China continues to be a threat to Taiwan and rumblings of an invasion are ever so imminent. Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Lebanon, Yemen, the United States, the United Kingdom Israel, Syria and Iran ALL appear to be in anticipatory stages of war. In Matthew 24:6-7 Jesus said the following: 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. That being said what we see happening in the Middle East as Israel has passed the century mark in number of days being in a continued warfare with HAMAS, what is currently unraveling must be noted as we understand eschatology. If you have been studying Bible prophecy, you would clearly discern that God has started to position Israel regarding her destiny. When you read your Bible, you will find that approximately 5/6th of the Bible one way or another pertains to Israel . As a matter of fact, 73 out of 78 verses regarding Israel refer to Israel as a nation. Ezekiel 5:5 :Thus saith the Lord God; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her. Israel is the center of the world. Jerusalem is the center of Israel. The Temple Mount is the center of Jerusalem. There will be amount in time before the return of the LORD when the entire world will focus on these points:
According to Matthew 24, the generation that will see the coming of the LORD will also witness God raising the nation of Israel to the place of international prominence. Keep in mind that whereas WWI prepared the land of Israel for the Jews, WWII prepared the Jews to enter the land, WWIII will ultimately see them scattered until old a remnant remains. As for the current war between Russia and Ukraine, we know that Russia invaded Ukraine back in 2022. Currently as Russia continues to advance, and the U.S has been providing billions of dollars in Military Arms, A senior ally of President Vladimir Putin warned that any Ukrainian attacks on missile launch sites inside Russia supplied by the United States and its allies would risk in a nuclear response from Moscow. It is now being reported that Europe is preparing for Russian President Vladimir Putin to expand his country’s war in Ukraine and attack NATO ally countries next year, according to leaked documents published in German newspaper Bild. According to the outlet — which obtained the classified military information from the German Ministry of Defense — the country’s armed forces are gearing up for a “hybrid” Russian attack in Eastern Europe that can include the use of nuclear weaponry. This year will be a very pivotal year as far as national elections are concerned. It has been stated that over half over the entire world in various nations will be holding elections. We knew what happens in the U.S with presidential elections remains to be seen. However, I want to bring to your attention what happened in China this past week. Taiwan held an election which may determine whether China and Taiwan, let alone China and the U.S. go to war. One of the candidates in the election, Lai Ching-te, who is heavily opposed by the Chines government actually won the election! This means that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan has become more likely. I have only mentioned two wars with scenarios that have become real. Now, let’s circle back to what is happening in the Middle East and examine it through the Word of God: As the war between Israel and HAMAS continues, Many left-wing Israelis who once considered themselves “more Palestinian than the Palestinians” now view all Palestinians as a potential threat. According to a GALLUP report nearly two-thirds of Israelis now oppose a Palestinian state, given what Hamas did to them, and to Gaza — and given the pro-terror sympathies of the corrupt Palestinian Authority, which governs most Palestinians in the West Bank. The United States is now pushing Israel to make new peace agreements contingent on the creation of a Palestinian state. The age of the Church will end and the Time of Jacob’s trouble and the salvation of the nation of Israel will become the central element in the purpose of God on earth. Israel and the Jews will be in the worst turmoil ever and the surviving remnant of the Jews and Gentiles will enter the Millennial Kingdom after the Day of the LORD comes to pass. The Day of the LORD is not a 24 hour day, but rather a series of events in which the wrath of God is poured out on those who are not raptured, including the persecutors of the true Church and the haters of the nation of Israel. It will also culminate in God’s prevailing justice of the kingdom of AntiChrist. Amos 5:16-20—Therefore the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. 17 And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the Lord. 18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. 20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? Each day that passes by we see the nation of Israel becoming more alienated from the rest of the world. Several nations that once were considered allies are no longer supporting her. Israel is beginning to find that she has no allies. This was all spoken of in the Bible. Joel 3:1-2—–For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Did you see that? This isn’t about diving land rather it is parting the LORD’s land. Did I hear “Land for Peace” deals?? I just mentioned to you that Israel is being pressured to make new peace agreements contingent on the creation of a Palestinian state. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is opposed to this and has gone on record to say that he opposes a Palestinian state in any postwar scenario. Zechariah 12: 2—-Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. 4 In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God. 6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. 7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. 8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Our responsibility is to continue to pray for peace in Jerusalem and to pray for the leaders of the world. That being said, know that what God spoke in His WORD thousands of years in advance MUST and WILL come to pass according to the prophetic Scriptures. Once again to put it into simplest terms, when the LORD comes and removes the faithful Church and unleashes His wrath on this earth and on the kingdom of AntiChrist, He will be intervening in the strategic conflict against the nation of Israel. This is the Day of the LORD. It is now very obvious to discern what is about to take place in the Middle East. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2—We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) ——-tomorrow may be the day of wrath. A major contributor to Israel’s distress over another Holocaust is the ongoing threat from the Iranian regime, which has openly and repeatedly declared its desire to wipe out the Jewish state. This is the one thing that many factions of ultra-orthodox and especially the Shi’te faction of Islam agree on. In the meantime, protests continue to take place in the Temple Mount as HAMAS, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Fatah are all raising their flags and chanting on the Temple Mount. Antisemitism has reared its ugly head and has been Antisemitism has rising dramatically on a global scale since the pandemic began. It very well could that we are on the verge of witnessing the prophetic fulfillment of Psalm 83: 1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: 6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord.17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth. Remember that the time of Jacob’s trouble is the exact same event Jesus Himself mentioned in Matthew 24 where He prophesies about the coming time of great tribulation that will target the entire world in general, and the Jews in particular. Matthew 24:20-21–But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Historically, Israel was destroyed in 70 AD, and the Jews were scattered across the nations according to Bible prophecy. In 1948, they were miraculously regathered in exactly the same place from which they were dispersed. But their regathering was a physical one, not a spiritual one and there has been a mass “Aaliyah,“ or return of Jews from the Northern, Southern, & Eastern parts of the world. Now Jews from the West have been returning to Israel in massive numbers. God’s covenant with Israel and the Jews is eternal, just like His covenant with the Church is eternal and it cannot be broken, and God is not going to leave them in their fallen condition. The time of Jacob’s trouble is going to be the means by which He restores His chosen people back to a right relationship to Himself. Hosea 5:15-–I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. Is God about to return to His place and and is the stage being set as we speak??? Stay tuned and Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. Oct. 7 Propelled Jew-Hatred to The Forefront of Current Events… How Can We Defend the Truth? – By Olivier Melnick - https://harbingersdaily.com/oct-7-propelled-jew-hatred-to-the-forefront-of-current-events-how-can-we-defend-the-truth/ Every year since 2005, on January 27, the international community remembers the Holocaust in various ways, from synagogue services to vigils to educational events that include Holocaust survivors or scholars, even though survivors are dwindling to a few thousand globally, by virtue of their age (90 and older). Soon, they will all be in our memories, or will they? How tragic would it be if, after all the survivors of the Holocaust were gone, the second-hand witnesses were silenced or simply stop speaking up against the horrors of the Holocaust and the evil of antisemitism? This year, there is a great sense of urgency since the tragic events that took place in Israel on October 7, 2023. As much as the new antisemitism has been a reality for decades now, the events of October 7 have propelled Jew-hatred to the forefront of current events, not only in Israel but all around the globe. There is no question that the weed of antisemitism has grown exponentially since October 7, to the point of choking the truth about Israel and the Jewish people. Can this weed be killed? Can the truth be restored? I believe that three steps are involved in that process. Learn the Truth This is a very important step in the age of fast information and fake information. The more sophisticated we are with technology, the more risk we are taking with the veracity of the information we are fed. With the advent of chat GPT and Artificial Intelligence, truth is being challenged from many vantage points. Add to that the fact that we live at a time when people are not as interested in historical facts as much as they were two or three decades ago, and you get a narrative that can easily become very destructive. It is becoming very important to rely on resources that were published prior to 2020 just to be safe regarding data that could have been altered by chat GPT and/or Artificial Intelligence. Teach the Truth As critical as it is to learn the truth, people often acquire a lot of knowledge and do very little to share that knowledge. Advocacy isn’t only demonstrated in the actions we take, but it is also shown in the words we speak. Every voice matters, especially the voices of those who care about the truth. The younger generation doesn’t really know how to think anymore. They rely on soundbites and videos, most of them only a few seconds in length, to learn about anything. Gone are the days when people watched a documentary; now, they view a short on YouTube. Gone are the days when people read books; now, they read a one-sentence meme. These quick informational snippets are also shared by the millions almost instantaneously on multiple platforms. People are losing interest in gathering pertinent information on just about any topic, and as a result, they will also soon lose the ability to do so. We are going from the information age to the disinformation age rapidly and with little resistance. It is on us to take the time to share what we learn with our children, grandchildren, co-workers, schoolmates, neighbors and anybody else willing to listen and learn. Knowledge of the truth and how to share it will lead to wisdom. Charles Spurgeon once said, “Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.” Defend the Truth So, you’ve learned the truth, and you have committed to teaching it to others the best you can. That is a good start, but now we must put our knowledge into action and that will include decisions to support or boycott certain organizations, people or programs. The Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement (BDS), reborn in 2005, is promoting the boycott of anything Jewish to cripple the Israeli economy and hopefully force Israel to stop the occupation of “Palestine” and the killing of “innocent Palestinian victims.” It is time to double our efforts and do exactly the opposite. Go to their site at bdsmovement.net and support as much as you can from their list of what to boycott academically, culturally, and economically. The lists are on their site, and they have done all the homework for us. Additionally, there are several apps on Apple and Google platforms that will give you the ability to scan a barcode and tell you if you should boycott or support a brand based on their support of Israel. Beyond learning, teaching, and defending the truth, we must understand that October 7 has brought an existential crisis to the Jewish world. We have reached the point of no return as it pertains to the momentum antisemitism is gaining every day. Antisemitism will not cease; it will only increase (at least until Messiah Yeshua returns and reigns in Jerusalem from the throw of David)! Yet, we must continue to advocate against it AND commit to rescue and protect those affected by it. It is time for Christians across denominations to unite and redeem the past. Our Jewish friends are once again at risk. The danger is global and exponential. Doing nothing will increase the risk of another Holocaust, and even though God promised never to forsake Israel or allow for its total destruction (Jeremiah 31:35-37), the 1930s and 40s saw the decimation of 6,000.000 Jews in Europe (my maternal grandfather included) and that risk is back. This January 27, on International Holocaust Memorial Day, why don’t you take the time to call your Jewish friends, neighbors, coworkers, or even family members and tell them that you have their backs? Tell them that as you remember the Holocaust, you will do everything in your power to make sure another one doesn’t happen on your watch. I understand that the Bible speaks of great turmoil coming to the Jewish people in the future, during the Great Tribulation, but let’s seize the day and redeem the past NOW, lest we become the new bystanders of today! I am convinced that we can make a difference before the Tribulation starts, which means that we can reach out to our Jewish friends before the Rapture that will occur before the Tribulation. We do it because of the Gospel and with the Gospel…One Jewish soul at a time, praying that we can lead them to their Messiah! Replacement theology leads those who have adopted it to believe that Israel is no longer God’s people and that the modern regathering of the Jews in their historical land is theologically meaningless. Please know this is an error, and I write this letter to alert you to it so you can study God’s Word and reach your own conclusion. Replacement theology, sometimes called supersessionism or fulfillment theology, is a doctrine stating either that the Church took Israel’s place as God’s people when Israel rejected Jesus as its Messiah or that the “old” Israel was set aside in favor of a “new” Israel, the Church, upon Jesus’s first coming. No matter how it got there, the Church is now God’s people and the beneficiary of the promises God made Israel in the Old Testament. Consequently, Jacob’s blood descendants have no unique destiny, and modern Israel’s existence has no significance. Because replacement theology is often woven into otherwise sound teachings on redemptive history, many believers aren’t even aware that it is a separate doctrine with its own name. Nonetheless, replacement theology is enshrined in Catholic dogma and runs rampant in mainline denominations, even among those that otherwise take the Bible seriously. Replacement theology raises troubling implications about God’s character, not the least of which are: if God revoked his promises to Israel, what keeps him from revoking them again, and does God really change not (as Malachi 3:6 says)? Many who have been taught replacement theology have not considered these implications. Perhaps you have, but dismissed them out-of-hand or rationalized them away, possibly because they are too dreadful to imagine. Unfortunately, ignoring the implications does not make them go away. Rather than addressing these (and other) broader implications, this letter will instead tackle the assumption that lies at the very heart of replacement theology: did Israel really forfeit its blessings? Did God really forsake or move past Israel? Fortunately, if you read the Bible without bias, it gives a clear answer. One point is worth making before proceeding: I don’t have the ability or the moral duty to force you to reject replacement theology. Only the Holy Spirit can convict. All I can do is call relevant scripture to your attention and invite you to check it out yourself. That is what I will now do. To keep this letter short and clear, I will rely only on two passages: Isaiah 6 and Romans 11. (If you are a Reformed believer, you tend to read Revelation figuratively, because you have been taught that it is “apocalyptic literature.” I will therefore deliberately avoid Revelation’s many passages affirming Israel’s destiny, knowing that you will be unwilling to read Isaiah and Romans figuratively.) I will cite the King James Version, but any good version will do. Isaiah 6 contains the well-known “Here I am. Send me” passage in which Isaiah volunteers to convey a message God has for his people: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. (Isaiah 6:8-10) God informs his people not only that they are hardened (deaf, blind and without understanding) and he is the one hardening them, but also that he has hardened them to delay their repenting and being healed. Note that God does not tell them why he wants a delay. When the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks “to them” in parables in Matthew 13, he quotes this passage of Isaiah 6: He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:” (Matthew 13:11-14) Paul also quotes this same passage of Isaiah 6 in Acts 28, reminding the local leaders of the Jews that they are hardened. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (Acts 28:24-27) Paul then discloses the reason why God hardened Israel, delaying its repenting and being healed: Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (Acts 28:28) According to Paul, God hardened Israel so the Gospel could be taken to the Gentiles. However, Isaiah 6 continues after the portion quoted in both Matthew 13 and Acts 28. God has more to say to Isaiah about his people. Returning to Isaiah 6, after hearing God’s decree against his people, the prophet begs God for an answer in verse 11, and God gives it to him: Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate. And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in [the land] shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. (Isaiah 6:11-13) God promises that he will lift Israel’s partial hardening during or just after a widespread devastation. This may be a great war, even a nuclear war given the extent and degree of damage. However, it may be a direct act of God, acting in wrath. Only he knows. Why then did Jesus and Paul’s quotations from Isaiah 6 stop short of verses 11-13? The answer is that they were speaking in the first century AD. Isaiah 6:11-13 would be fulfilled in the future. They were only talking about Israel’s hardened condition in those days, and not about when it would someday repent. Remember, Jesus was only answering a question from his disciples as to why he was teaching in parables, and Paul was only making the case for taking the Gospel to the Gentiles. Now, let’s look at Romans 11, in which Paul answers the question his earlier chapters in Romans begged: if Christ is the answer and the law is not, what about the Jews, to whom God had given the law? Has God turned his back on Israel? I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. (Romans 11:1-4) The answer is an emphatic “God forbid!” God will save an elect remnant of Israel, and God will save them by grace, not the law. To keep the Gentiles from being feeling superior to the Jews, Paul goes on to say: I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? (Romans 11:11-15) Then, after describing how the holy firstfruits of lump of dough renders the whole lump holy, how a holy root can render the entire tree holy, and how branches grafted onto a holy tree become holy, even branches that had previously been cut off, Paul reveals a mystery in verse 25: For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (Romans 11:25) Though he does not outright quote Isaiah 6:11-13, he affirms the promise God made in those verses to end Israel’s hardening. The mystery Paul reveals is that the partial hardening of Israel’s elect will end when the “fulness of the Gentiles be (has) come in.” It is important to note that none of these passages are talking about the Church. God has never hardened the Church. He has only hardened Israel, and only temporarily, for the express purpose of taking the Gospel to the Gentiles and building a Church that encompasses all peoples, nations, and languages. This he did at Israel’s great expense, but he will resurrect and magnify Israel because of it. Consider the supreme irony: God hardened Israel to benefit the Gentiles, and so many churches have returned their thanks to Israel by teaching replacement theology. God’s reply in Isaiah 6 and Paul’s teaching in Romans 11 raise two questions: when will this widespread devastation occur, and when will the fulness of the Gentiles come in? The Bible gives no clear answer; God wants us to depend on him alone for the timing. However, we can be sure of this – God will restore the elect of his people Israel. That unambiguous Biblical truth, stated explicitly both to Israel in the Old Testament and the Gentiles of the Church in the New Testament, exposes replacement theology as bad doctrine. Now it’s up to the Holy Spirit and informed believers to purge the Church of this sad error. If replacement theology now troubles you as much as it does me, please do me a favor. Consider giving a copy of this letter to a brother or sister who has been mistaught. You will be helping them and doing a good work for God’s kingdom. Where Is the Ark of The Covenant Today, And Will It Be Revealed to The Entire World Soon? - by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/where-is-the-ark-of-the-covenant-today-and-will-it-be-revealed-to-the-entire-world-soon/ When the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant is publicly announced, it will be hailed as the greatest archaeological bombshell in the history of the world, and it will also be extremely significant spiritually. But getting it out of the chamber where it is hidden will not be easy. There are at least 45 major tunnels directly underneath the Temple Mount, and many of them are very unstable. Any efforts to do any sort of major digging could cause one or more of those tunnels to collapse. In addition, securing approval from all of the necessary authorities to take anything out from under the Temple Mount would be exceedingly complicated. And once the Ark is revealed to the world, that will likely spark massive riots throughout the Islamic world. So at this moment, there is a lot standing in the way of the Ark seeing the light of day. According to Jewish oral tradition, the Ark was moved to a special underground chamber directly under Solomon’s Temple during the days of King Josiah… The Book of Chronicles indicates that 22 years prior to the destruction of Solomon’s Temple, King Josiah had the ark moved out of the Holy of Holies and transferred to the “House that Solomon the son of David, the king of Israel, built” (2 Chronicles 35:3). This is perplexing because the house built by Solomon is typically associated with the Temple that was already where the Ark was being housed. According to a Jewish Oral Tradition, the Ark was in fact moved to an underground chamber that could only be accessed through a complex system of hidden tunnels beneath the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This underground chamber would have been built by King Solomon who foresaw the future destruction of the Temple centuries earlier and prepared for the survival of the Ark in the architectural plans of the building itself. When the time arose and danger became more apparent, the Ark was relocated to its designated hiding place where it remains until today. I do believe that Solomon constructed a special underground chamber directly under the Temple where the Ark would go in the event that there was a war or some other major emergency. But I am personally convinced that during the Babylonian siege the Ark was taken by Jeremiah from that underground chamber to another underground chamber where it currently rests. Today, most serious scholars that have carefully examined the evidence agree that it is down there somewhere. In 1981, Rabbi Yehuda Getz went down into the tunnels underneath the Temple Mount in order to look for the Ark… In 1981, just one month after the Indiana Jones film was released, Rabbi Yehuda Getz, the rabbi of the Western Wall, was called to descend into the tunnels while they were still being excavated in search of the lost Ark. While most of the tunnels follow parallel to the Western Wall, there is one point in which the wall opens up into a gigantic passageway. This magnificent corridor popularly known as Warren’s Gate is about 18 feet wide and 36 feet high. Its association with the name Warren is because it was originally discovered by a British archaeologist called Charles Warren back in 1867. While the large gate was sealed centuries earlier by Saladin after his conquest of Jerusalem, it would have theoretically operated as a passageway through the Western Wall underneath the Temple Mount in earlier centuries. In the times of the Second Temple, this was used as one of the gate entrances to Temple Mount, and not just any gate, but the gate in closest proximity to the Holy of Holies where the Ark would have been stored. Getz was able to bypass the gate through a very small opening that was about two feet wide, and he felt like he was very close to the location of the Ark. But then Muslim worshippers above ground became aware of what was going on, and there was a huge confrontation. The opening that Getz went through was sealed up, and the passageway that Getz found “remains unexplored”… Although the gate was blocked when Rabbi Getz approached the area, a small 2-foot-wide opening was uncovered by the excavation team. After saying a short prayer, the rabbi descended into the passageway that had been abandoned for hundreds of years. The area was filled up with water and sewage so in order to properly excavate the site, it would have to be cleared out. Rabbi Getz called an engineering crew to enter the passageway, but the loud noises attracted attention from the Muslim worshippers above who dashed into the tunnel through manholes. Carrying tools to seal up the hole, confrontations broke out between the Muslim worshippers and yeshiva students who came to support the rabbi. According to the Israeli Status Quo law, access to the Temple Mount is supposed to be for Muslim worshippers only with permitted visits by non-Muslim tourists at certain designated times. Nevertheless, Rabbi Getz claimed that the law was inapplicable to areas beneath the surface of the Temple Mount and that excavations should be permitted there. Due to the sensitive nature of the holy site, the opening was sealed up by Israeli authorities and the passageway remains unexplored. On January 6th, 1982 Ron Wyatt says that he actually found the Ark of the Covenant… “Once we found that place, I knew that, well basically, that I needed to get inside that escarpment, because there were several indications that it was just a system of tunnels and chambers, and that I needed to, basically, just go chamber by chamber, tunnel by tunnel, and whatever, systematically go through there, until I found the Ark of the Covenant, or until I didn’t find it. And so, anyway, we found it on January 6th, 1982 at approximately 2 o’clock in the afternoon. And so, when I found it, it was in a situation that I had not anticipated or expected, that was that it was in a chamber that was totally filled with what appeared to be debris. And what turned out to be a bunch of materials of furnishings of the first temple, covered first by animal skins, then that covered by boards, and then these covered by stone, just whatever they could get their hands on, looked like. It looked like it had been done in a hurry, looked like they just grabbed everything, whatever they could get to fill the place, and I was still a little fuzzy on why that would be done, but I don’t see that I need to know everything. When God does something I just know it’s done perfectly, so.” (Wyatt Interview, 1999). Wyatt informed the Jewish authorities of what he had discovered, but we don’t know if they ever followed up on it. But what we do know is that Jewish leaders do claim to know where the Ark is located today. As I have discussed previously, The Temple Institute publicly admits on their official website that they know precisely where the Ark is… The Ark of the Covenant is one of the most fascinating of all Temple-related subjects. There are many theories about what happened to the Ark of the Covenant, and speculation abounds as to its actual location. Some people think it was taken to the Vatican, together with other Temple vessels, such as those depicted on the Roman monument, the Arch of Titus. There are many authentic, ancient historical chronicles, and even more popular legends, that attest to many sacred vessels having been taken away to Rome. However, this does not apply to the most holy feature of the First Temple, the Ark. While some claim to have evidence that the ark is in Ethiopia, and of course, moviegoers were treated to a fanciful version of the story in “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” in reality, the expression “lost” ark is not an accurate description for the Jewish people’s point of view – because we have always known exactly where it is. So the Ark is “Hidden,” and hidden quite well, but it is not lost. Tradition records that even as King Solomon built the First Temple, he already knew, through Divine inspiration, that eventually it would be destroyed. Thus Solomon, the wisest of all men, oversaw the construction of a vast system of labyrinths, mazes, chambers and corridors underneath the Temple Mount complex. He commanded that a special place be built in the bowels of the earth, where the sacred vessels of the Temple could be hidden in case of approaching danger. Midrashic tradition teaches that King Josiah of Israel, who lived about forty years before the destruction of the First Temple, commanded the Levites to hide the Ark, together with the original menorah and several other items*, in this secret hiding place which Solomon had prepared. This location is recorded in our sources, and today, there are those who know exactly where this chamber is. And we know that the ark is still there, undisturbed, and waiting for the day when it will be revealed. An attempt was made some few years ago to excavate towards the direction of this chamber. This resulted in widespread Moslem unrest and rioting. They stand a great deal to lose if the Ark is revealed – for it will prove to the whole world that there really was a Holy Temple, and thus, that the Jews really do have a claim to the Temple Mount. (The official position of the Islamic Wakf, the body that governs over the Temple Mount, is that there never was a Holy Temple, and that the Jews have no rights whatsoever to the place). But knowing where the Ark is and getting it out are two entirely different matters. So when will the Ark finally be seen by the whole world? Interestingly, an ancient Jewish text entitled “Treatise of the Vessels” actually states that the Ark will not be revealed “until the day of the coming of the Messiah”… One text called the “Treatise of the Vessels” says that the ark “shall not be revealed until the day of the coming of the Messiah son of David….” When I first learned about that ancient passage I thought that it was extremely fascinating. Of course I believe that the Bible has something very specific to say about this matter as well. As I discuss in my new book, a corrected translation of the original Hebrew of the first clause of Daniel 9:27 should read something like this… “The Covenant will be confirmed (or strengthened) with many for one week”. The Ark of the Covenant has always been the physical representation of God’s covenant with His people. The Ark has not been seen publicly for more than 2,600 years, and so if it makes a reappearance in our day that would definitely “confirm” the reality of that covenant. So let us keep a close eye on any news regarding the Ark of the Covenant in the days ahead. Because once the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant is revealed, everything will change. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Double-mindedness turning deadly - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com In February 2021, One of Joe Biden’s first acts was to revoke the Trump-era Houthis terrorist designation and redesignate them as a humanitarian organization. Then he started giving them millions of dollars in humanitarian aid, knowing full well the Houthis reputation for diverting such money for terrorist activities. In fact, a USAID official told ABC News in March 2021 that Biden’s move would open up some $50 million to flow to the Houthis. Biden’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the Administration was well aware that the Houthis have a reputation for diverting humanitarian aid for terrorist use, but expected the Houthis to abide by new commitments of use restrictions made to the international community. The Houthis, also known as “Ansarallah,” came to power in Yemen during the Obama-supported Arab Spring uprisings that destabilized much of the Middle East in favor of terrorist-supporting governments. The Houthi slogan is “Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse the Jews, Victory for Islam.” On November 8, 2023 the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists shot down a $30 million MQ-9 Reaper US drone over international waters. Then they started attacking ships in the Red Sea. So Biden has decided to start a war with the Houthis by bombing Yemen. Reuters reports that the Houtis, said “five fighters had been killed in a total of 73 air strikes. They vowed to retaliate and continue their attacks on shipping, which they say are intended to support Palestinians against Israel, a popular cause in Yemen.” Part of the Palestinian terrorist demonstrations at the White House January 14 included chants about Yemen showing the US who is boss. Now, during a tour of Nowhere Coffee Company in Emmaus, PA on January 12, Biden seems to have had a change of heart. Here is the exchange between him and a reporter: “Q. Are you willing to call the Houthis a terrorist group, sir? THE PRESIDENT: I think they are. Q. Was the strike successful last night, sir? THE PRESIDENT: Yes. It was very–I don’t think there’s any civilian casualties. That’s another reason why it’s a success. So, look, we’re going to get a chance to talk, apparently, at the–after the fire station. So, rather than–By the way, anybody want a coffee? It’s on me. (Laughter.) All right?” Yes, Mr. Biden, IT IS ON YOU AND IT’S NOT FUNNY. Saying you are against terrorists and all their despicable acts on one hand, and clearing the way for them to receive billions of dollars in humanitarian aid on the other hand is worse than hypocritical. The Biden Administration, along with much of the rest of the world, wants to denounce terrorism when it first commits its atrocities, demand no defense against it, and then reward terrorism by sending it money in the name of humanitarian aid. James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” They take our hard-earned money and give it to evildoers, who kill the innocents, enslave and do harm to their own people, and enrich themselves in the process. Trying to characterize terrorists like the Houthi, Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and other Iran-backed groups as humanitarians is not only deadly, it is, say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Deadly Complacency - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. —Ecclesiastes 8:11 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/deadly-complacency/ - Listen For twenty long years, Samson had experienced the thrill of victory. It was clear from the very beginning that God’s hand was upon him. The Bible tells us that God blessed him as he grew up, and the Spirit of the Lord began to take hold of him (see Judges 13:24–25). For twenty long years, Samson had never known the agony of defeat. That should have made him thankful to God. Instead, it produced in him a deadly complacency about his spiritual life. And no sooner did Samson’s life of promise begin than he disobeyed God by going out and marrying a Philistine woman. God had clearly prohibited this. But Samson didn’t care. He told his parents he wanted to marry this woman, and he ignored their objections. This is where the breakdown began that would culminate in his downfall with Delilah. Sure enough, after he married the Philistine woman, everything began to fall apart. God was giving him a wake-up call to turn from his sin. Judges 16:1 tells us, “One day Samson went to the Philistine town of Gaza and spent the night with a prostitute” (NLT). Samson deliberately made this choice, crossing the line. He was sure there was no trap from which he couldn’t free himself. And he blatantly took this radical step. Clearly, Samson wasn’t walking with the Lord at this point. We don’t read of any spiritual struggle beforehand or of any remorse afterward. But this episode in Gaza led to Samson’s destruction. What he sowed with the prostitute, he reaped with the devious Delilah. When Samson’s enemies in Gaza found out he was in their city, they sealed up the massive city gate and waited to kill him. There was no other way out of the city, at least not for an ordinary man. But at midnight, the Bible says, Samson “got up, took hold of the doors of the town gate, including the two posts, and lifted them up, bar and all. He put them on his shoulders and carried them all the way to the top of the hill across from Hebron” (verse 3 NLT). God had once again delivered Samson. And what made his life so tragic is that he had power without purity. He had strength without self-control. Sometimes when we get away with sin, we think we’ll always get away with it. But no one ever completely gets away with sin. God sometimes will extend His grace and not discipline us right away. As a result, we might begin to misinterpret the grace of God for His permission. The Bible says, “When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong” (Ecclesiastes 8:11 NLT). When we sin, we might not get caught right away, but we must not assume we will get away with it forever. We may not even experience the full ramifications of our actions until we stand before God. But sooner or later, it will catch up with us. There are no exceptions.
