I purchased Billy Graham’s book, Approaching Hoofbeats, not long after its publication in 1983. I cannot remember all that I thought as I read it forty years ago, but I know the book sparked hope regarding the nearness of the Rapture. As a young pastor at the time, I loved preaching about Bible prophecy and Jesus’ appearing. As I recently skimmed its chapters, the stark differences between then and now leaped off the pages. Some of the signs that four decades ago seemed so indicative of the nearing Rapture pale by comparison to all that we see today. The Antichrist Rides It’s only been in the past six years or so that Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum (WEF) have come out of the shadows and revealed their true intentions to the world. They have invited the news media into their once-secret meetings and revealed their true intention to enslave the world under “Build Back Better,” which is a euphemism for their intent to create a Marxist, totalitarian world government. I am definitely not suggesting that Klaus Schwab is the coming “man of lawlessness” as Paul describes in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-10. However, he does provide an apt illustration of how the antichrist will gain control of our world under the cloak of promoting peace. By 1983, I had heard of a group called the “trilateralists” who were pushing for a one-world government at the time. Today, however, the emerging framework for the type of world domination that we read about in the book of Revelation is front and center for everyone to see, yet so few are paying attention to the nearness of the time when the white horse will ride across the earth. The Threat of Nuclear War In Approaching Hoofbeats, Evangelist Billy Graham wrote about the threat of a devastating nuclear war, which was a major concern at the time. Today, however, this danger has reached the point where most analysts believe it’s likely to occur in the next few years. Citing the significant risk for a nuclear war, a group called “The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists” made headlines on January 23, 2024, by resetting their Doomsday Clock back to ninety seconds before midnight. Below is a quote from their latest press release under a section titled “The Many Dimensions of Nuclear Threat”: A durable end to Russia’s war in Ukraine seems distant, and the use of nuclear weapons by Russia in that conflict remains a serious possibility. In February 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his decision to “suspend” the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START). In March, he announced the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. In June, Sergei Karaganov, an advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urged Moscow to consider launching limited nuclear strikes on Western Europe as a way to bring the war in Ukraine to a favorable conclusion. Today’s world is exceedingly more dangerous than it was in 1983. The prospect of a nuclear war was a possibility back then; now it’s become a matter of when rather than if. Economic Peril In January of this year, the national debt level of the United States reached $34 trillion, and by the end of the month, it stood at an astounding 34.1 trillion. With the announcement came the prediction that by March, this number would exceed $35 trillion. In 1983, the debt reached $1.377 trillion. The current number is not only unsustainable for the future, but it also tells us that the black horse (Revelation 6:5- 6) will soon ride across America and the entire world. The current debt level in America will surely bring economic catastrophe. The Lord’s restraining hand is the only reason the world has not yet experienced the worst inflation in its history. Twelve years ago, I read books by economic experts who predicted imminent doom for the U.S. economy. Their reasoning was entirely sound but for the patience of the Lord, allowing more time for people to come to faith in Him and thus escape the wrath of the Day of the Lord. The Pale Horse A radio interviewer last year asked me if I thought the riders of the Apocalypse were already active in our world. I replied with a firm “no.” First, I’m convinced the Rapture will happen before the Lord Jesus releases the Seal Judgments as recorded in Revelation 6. Second, although there’s violence, pestilence, and a substantial number of deaths occurring in our current world, the totals fall far short of the horrific conditions described in connection with the hoofbeats of the pale horse. Revelation 6:7-8 says that “over a fourth of the earth” will perish as the result of Jesus opening the Seals. Even considering the disappearance of people at Jesus’ appearing, that’s still a vast number that will likely exceed one and a half billion people. The total death toll that resulted from WWII, which some place as high as seventy-five million, is horrific, of course, but it pales in comparison to what lies ahead. The time is rapidly approaching when the world will see the fulfillment of all that John both witnessed and wrote about in Revelation 6:1-8. The Bible says that sudden destruction will overwhelm the world after the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). Though dreadful for those who will hear the hoofbeats in the future, the nearing of this time tells us that Jesus’ appearing is ever so close. We will be in Heaven before Jesus opens the seal judgments described in Revelation 6. 'So oddly blatant': Satanic tapestry featured at World Economic Forum - By Bob Unruh - https://www.wnd.com/2024/02/oddly-blatant-satanic-tapestry-featured-world-economic-forum/ The world's richest people, whose who travel by private jet burning up fossil fuels from resort home to resort home all the while complaining that the "'people" don't want to buy expensive and unreliable electric vehicles to "save" the planet, do things differently. Take, for example, what was represented to be "art" at a recent World Economic Forum gathering in Switzerland. A "satanic" tapestry. A report in the EU Times explained a "curious and disturbing" piece had gone viral after the Davos summit. "It began when journalist Larry Alex Taunton went undercover to the annual globalist confab and infiltrated a conference room full of elites talking about the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals," the report said. "During their discussion, Taunton’s camera caught sight of the work of art, known as the Walthamstow Tapestry, hanging on the wall next to them." The report explained that tapestry "is a large mural created in 2009 by cross-dressing contemporary artist Grayson Perry." It shows, in the style of cave paintings, a birth, a man's life, death, corporate promotions for various conglomerates and more. "The tapestry begins with the birth of a baby along a river of blood that eventually flows into the waiting mouth of the Devil, ending in the death of an old man," the report said. A report in the Herald Posts said companies featured in the display include Coca-Cola, Sotheby's, Red Bull and the BBC. Social media users, the report said, were not hesitant to comment. "Why would they put [that] up as a decoration?" asked one user, anonymous, on social media. "You’d think it would make some attendees get a clue. So oddly blatant." Others wrote they understood the messaging of the tapestry, one claiming it focuses on corporations, abortion and population control, while another said, "The message is clear. In fact, explicitly clear – it's satanic." One commenter turned sarcastic: "It looks like Satan went on a bad acid trip and broke out the paint." Another said they were reminiscent of murals that have been displayed at the airport in Denver, Colorado, which "appear to envision various globalist goals, foremost of them is the depopulation of humanity under the guise of 'protecting nature''" the report explained. Billions of dollars in damage has already been done, but of even greater concern is what all of this water could mean for southern California’s fault lines. As you will see below, geophysicists have discovered that the additional weight that flooding puts on fault lines can help trigger earthquakes. Of course we have been warned for many years that “the Big One” is way overdue in southern California, and when it finally happens it will be a disaster unlike anything we have ever seen before. Water is very heavy. If you doubt this, just try lugging a couple of gallons of water around with you for a while. Now trillions of gallons of rain have poured down on California, and all of that added weight is going to put additional stress on the fault lines in the southern portion of the state. A number of years ago, a team of geophysicists determined that flooding helped trigger major earthquakes in southern California “at least three times in the past 2,000 years”… Geophysicists have linked historical earthquakes on the southern section of California’s famed San Andreas fault to ancient floods from the nearby Colorado River. The work has broad implications for understanding how floods or reservoirs relate to quakes — a topic that gained new relevance in 2008, after a massive earthquake in China’s Sichuan province killed more than 80,000 people. Some geologists have proposed that impounding water behind a newly built dam there helped hasten the quake. Now, new work in southern California suggests that at least three times in the past 2,000 years, the weight of river water spreading across floodplains seems to have helped trigger earthquakes in the region. Geophysicist Daniel Brothers was one of the scientists that worked on this study, and he was very confident about what his team discovered… “We found quakes happened about every 100 to 200 years and were correlated with floods,” says Brothers. “The Colorado River spills, loads the crust and then there is a rupture.” He says the team is “very confident” in its evidence for the existence of three flood-derived quakes, of roughly magnitude 6, which happened about 600 years ago, 1,100 years ago and 1,200–1,900 years ago. “Sediments don’t lie,” he says. With all of that in mind, let’s talk about what has just happened in southern California. Some of the rainfall totals that we have seen so far are just staggering… The highest total came at the Cogswell Dam above Pasadena. NWS monitors at that site recorded 13.15 inches of rain in the past 72 hours. A little farther south, Beverly Hills has seen 8.61 inches of rainfall, Culver City 7.71 inches and Downtown L.A. to the east has endured 8.13 inches. That means that in just three days, downtown Los Angeles has received more than half of its 30-year average seasonal rainfall, which is 14.25 inches. And it is being reported that UCLA’s weather station experienced “a 1-in-1,000 year rainfall event”… The 11.87 inches that fell in 24 hours at UCLA’s weather station was a 1-in-1,000 year rainfall event. Technically known as a “1,000-year recurrence interval event,” according to meteorologist Jacob Feuerstein, a 1-in-1,000-year rain event is a statistical way of expressing the probability of such a huge rainfall occurring in any given year in a given location, according to NOAA. That is certainly a lot of rain! Overall, it has been estimated that approximately 5.6 trillion gallons of rain fell on California in a 48 hour period… A rough calculation estimates that 5.6 trillion gallons of water has fallen across California the past two days, according to FOX Weather meteorologist Greg Diamond. Of course that is not a final number. More rain continued to fall after that estimate was made, and it is still raining in California as I write this article. What we are witnessing is truly unprecedented, and all of this water is going to put immense pressure on southern California’s fault lines. We’ll get back to that in a minute. But first, let me talk a bit about the damage that all of this water has already caused. In an article that I posted a few days ago, I speculated that this disaster would cause billions of dollars of damage in the state, and it appears that is precisely what has happened… AccuWeather estimates the preliminary total damage and economic loss from the intense storms and record rainfall in California this week will be between $9 billion and $11 billion. Right now, there are apocalyptic scenes all over southern California. Flash floods, mudslides and fallen trees have caused immense amounts of destruction. But what if the weight of all this water triggers “the Big One” at some point? It has been reported that when “the Big One” strikes it could literally “plunge large parts of California into the sea almost instantly”… The Big One may be overdue to hit California, but scientists near LA have found a new risk for the area during a major earthquake. They claim that if a major tremor hits the area, it could plunge large parts of California into the sea almost instantly. The discovery was made after studying the Newport-Inglewood fault, which has long been believed to be one of Southern California’s danger zones. A lot of people seem to think that a part of the state could break off like a cracker and fall into the Pacific Ocean. But that is not how it would work. According to Cal State Fullerton professor Matt Kirby, land on the western side of a major fault line would suddenly drop by up to three feet and that would allow the Pacific Ocean to come rushing in… The study showed that land within major Californian seismic faults could sink by 1.5 and three feet instantly. The last known major quake occurred on the San Andreas fault in 1857. Seismologists estimate the 800 mile-long San Andreas, which runs most of the length of the state, should see a large quake roughly every 150 years. ‘It´s something that would happen relatively instantaneously,’ Kirby said. ‘Probably today if it happened, you would see seawater rushing in.’ As I have discussed in multiple books, scientists have repeatedly warned us that this is going to happen someday. It is just a matter of time. Will a disaster of this magnitude happen in 2024? Let’s hope not, but I will definitely be watching southern California very closely now that all of this rain has fallen. When it finally arrives, “the Big One” could hit without warning, and those living right along the coast may only have moments before the Pacific Ocean starts rushing over them. As Plain as It Gets: The Bible Is Clear on The Rapture… So Why All the Debate? - By Skip Heitzig - https://harbingersdaily.com/as-plain-as-it-gets-the-bible-is-clear-on-the-rapture-so-why-all-the-debate/ First Thessalonians 4 says, “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words” (vv. 17-18). That’s from the classic passage in the New Testament on the rapture of the church, when Jesus comes for us prior to the tribulation. You might say, “Wait a minute, I didn’t read the word rapture in that verse.” That’s because you’re not reading the right translation. In the Latin Vulgate, the word rapio is there, from which we get our word rapture, which means to seize, carry away instantly, or snatch or take. The word in the Greek New Testament is harpazó. That’s the word that causes all the problems and debate. It means to be caught up, to take by force, to catch away, to pluck, to catch, or to pull. Harpazó shows up in thirteen verses in the New Testament. It was used to describe a wolf snatching a sheep in John 10:12 and, in Matthew 11:12, to take a kingdom suddenly and by force. Five times, harpazó refers to supernaturally moving a person from one location to another. So the best translation is to snatch instantly, take away almost violently by force, and place somewhere else. Acts 8 says, “The Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away” (v. 39). The apostle Paul said he was “caught up into Paradise” (2 Corinthians 12:4). Both times, it’s the same word, meaning they were supernaturally moved from one place to another. Compare that to the two men in the Old Testament who were supernaturally taken to heaven by God: Enoch in Genesis 5:24 and Elijah in 2 Kings 2:11. Kenneth Wuest, who was a professor of Greek at Moody Bible Institute, did a four-volume series of word studies in the Greek New Testament. In it, he expanded 1 Thessalonians 4:17 with all the nuance of Greek understanding to give us the best meaning: “Then as for us who are living and we who are left behind, together with them we shall be snatched away forcibly in [masses of saints having the appearance of] clouds for a welcome-meeting with the Lord in the lower atmosphere.” That’s as plain as it gets. We’ll be caught up instantly to meet the Lord in the air, and then we will be with the Lord. When Jesus told his disciples, “I’m leaving, but I’ll be back and I’ll receive you to Myself,” they didn’t get it. But with the benefit of a completed revelation from the whole New Testament, including all the epistles and the book of Revelation, we know that there are two stages: the rapture and the second coming. And we’re dealing with the first phase. First Corinthians 15:51-52 says, “We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” We will instantly go from mortal to immortal, incorruptible, and supernatural. And we’ll meet up with all our friends and relatives who loved Jesus and went before us. I love that song by James Milton Black that’s usually sung in country churches, “When the roll is called up yonder, I’ll be there.” We’ll all be there if we believe in Him. It’s the great hope, what Paul called “the blessed hope” of the church (Titus 2:13). I hope you’re ready for that event. Stupidocrisy: UN warns Israel about rejecting two-state solution - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com One of the chieftains of the one world order has warned Israel that rejecting a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine is a threat to world peace, but he didn’t warn the Arab nations of the same. On January 23, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres told a meeting of the UN Security Council that the right of the Palestinian people “to build their own fully independent state must be recognized by all, and a refusal to accept the two-state solution by any party must be firmly rejected.” Guterres, however, completely ignored that Hamas, Hezbollah, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Yemen, and other Arab states also reject a two-state solution and are willing to commit genocide to back it up. AP reported that Israel’s rejection of the two-state solution will indefinitely prolong a conflict that is threatening global peace and emboldening extremists everywhere. AP reported Guterres said that the alternative of a one-state solution “with such a large number of Palestinians inside without any real sense of freedom, rights and dignity … will be inconceivable,” and that “the risks of regional escalation of the conflict “are now becoming a reality,” pointing to Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan. He urged all parties “to step back from the brink and to consider the horrendous costs” of a wider war.” Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Hamas was not a terrorist group, but a liberation group fighting to protect “Palestinian” land. Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi told a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in November 2023 that Iran rejects the two-state solution. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, “We are certain the only cause for peace is the end of the Israeli occupation and illegal settlements, and restoration of the established rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of the Palestinian state on 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.” These country’s support for Hamas is also support for the elimination of Israel and the establishment of one Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capitol. But the UN Secretary General does not call them out for their obvious intentions. So let’s get this straight. The head of the UN says that it’s Israel’s fault that Islamist terrorist funded by Arab states attacked Israeli citizens and continues their terrorist assault on Israel because of Israel’s rejection of a two-state solution when the very same Arab Islamic terrorist states ALSO demand rejection of a two-state solution. Their financial and political support of Hamas is clearly an ultimate call for the extermination of Israel and all Jews. Yet the highly educated UN chief only blames Israel for the current violence. Romans 1:22 says, “Professing to be wise, they became fools.” These “wise” people haven’t a clue. They are great examples of run-of-the-mill, everyday, say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Imagine, for example, what would happen in a family where parents gave their children everything they wanted. The kids want hot fudge sundaes for dinner and demand everything at the toy store. Whatever they want, their parents give it to them. What those parents will end up raising are spoiled, undisciplined, hyperactive brats. And they will live to regret it because their children never will move out of the house. Parents need to teach their children responsibility, including how to work for things and how to save. God knows what is good for us as His children. He knows what we need, and He also knows what we don’t need. A Christian might pray, “Lord, I want to be incredibly wealthy. I want to be as wealthy as Bill Gates or Warren Buffett. Give me billions of dollars.” For some people, probably most even, receiving a great amount of money could be the worst thing ever to happen to them. It would come with a lot of responsibility as well as a lot of temptation they may not be facing right now. The apostle Paul wrote, “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19 NLT). Notice Paul said that God would supply all your needs—not all your greed or even all your wants or desires. The writer of Proverbs 30 prayed, “Give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name” (verses 8–9 NLT). In other words, “Lord, don’t give me so much that I would forget about You. But don’t give me so little that I would feel that You had forgotten about me. Give me as much as You think is right. I leave it in Your hands. I just want Your will for my life.” We can go through life saying, “I need this” and “What about my needs?” Or, we can say, “God has blessed me. He has provided for me. I had a meal this morning. I have clothes on my back and a roof over my head. What can I do for someone else?” When we start thinking of others instead of ourselves, one day, we will wake up and realize that we’re happy. But it won’t be the result of chasing after the things we thought would fulfill us. Rather, it will be the result of having our priorities in order. If only we would do things God’s way. Then we would be able to say, like Paul, “I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little” (Philippians 4:12 NLT). If we have our lives in balance, we can be confident that God will provide.
