‘Palestinian Representatives’ Do Not Want A Two-State Solution; They Want The Final Solution – By Featured - https://harbingersdaily.com/palestinian-representatives-do-not-want-a-two-state-solution-they-want-the-final-solution/
The schoolyard bully who bruises the little girl. The thug who pushes an old woman to her death on the subway rails. The gang that robs a jewelry store and stabs the owner. The coward who carjacks and shoots the driver. They’re all guilty of crimes against innocent lives. The abortionist who wields forceps may kill a preborn baby legally, but the end is the same — innocent and alive moments earlier, dead and discarded now because someone had the power to do it. The war in Israel is only the latest example of the cheapening of human life. The abortifacient pill, gun, or missile aimed at civilian centers all say that might equal right. My superior ideals or brute force justify any action I take. If no one can stop me, I’m right. Political rhetoric suggests support for the innocent, but street protests belie the philosophy that anything is acceptable if it furthers your cause. Israel has the right to defend herself, but only if no innocent people die — well, except for Jews. Israel has the right to defend herself, but only if it allows aid to “innocent civilians.” Ignore the $4.8 billion dollars Hamas and the PA have stolen already. Israel has the right to defend herself, but only if it promises to harbor refugees. Since NONE of the neighboring Arab states will. Israel has the right to defend herself, but it would be so much easier for everyone if the Jews would just agree to die. I’m sure the UN would arrange a nice bronze plaque: “This land, briefly known as Israel during its flourishing years, we now officially designate a Palestinian heritage site.” This is not a war over land and never has been. Israel has given up land repeatedly. The PLO, then the PA, then Hamas, missed each opportunity for peace. The Palestinians have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Why? Because the warlords and wealthy theocrats who claim to represent the Palestinian people do not want a two-state solution; they want the final solution. “From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free!” Anyone who has ever visited the land, as I have, knows the chant’s meaning: Israel is bordered by the Jordan River to the east and the Mediterranean Sea to the west. “From the river to the sea” only means one thing: “Exterminate all Jews!” The day after the Black Sabbath massacre, Al Jazeera interviewed a Hamas spokesman. The host asked why Hamas attacked “innocent civilians.” The spokesman bristled, “We never target civilians …” pausing, he added, “… only settlers.” To the interviewer’s credit, he pressed. “But your rockets target Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Those aren’t Gaza settlements.” The Hamas mouthpiece replied: “All Jews are settlers.” Read: All Jews are legitimate targets. In a November 1 MEMRI TV interview, Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad said, “Nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October one-million, everything we do is justified.” Reminder: “Everything” included gunning down 364 concertgoers, dozens of beheadings, burning a baby in an oven (the morgue recovered the charred body with the oven element melted into the baby’s spine), shooting fleeing civilians, raping, taking 250 hostages (only 20 military). By Geneva Convention rules, all of those: desecrating bodies, raping, murdering children, burning homes with people inside, torturing and attacking non-military targets, are all war crimes, and all happened on October 7. This is not taking sides or speculation. Several dozen international reporters saw the videos. These acts and more were live-streamed via body cams worn by the terrorists as they celebrated the “everything we do is justified” philosophy. One terrorist filmed himself calling his parents from a dead Jewish woman’s phone saying, “I killed 10 Jews … See, the blood is still on my hands.” The war against the Jews is being waged in the media and on college campuses across America. Pro-life battles for the unborn were waged in the same places. In each, real lives are at stake. Peace, human rights and decency are all at risk. Like any battle over the right to live, the fight in Israel, murder on American streets and in clinics around the world is more spiritual than material. God established His pro-life stance when He created the first life. He affirmed it through Christ when He died on the Cross, giving His life for ours, demonstrating the immeasurable value of life. We participate in that evil when we devalue, desecrate, abbreviate, and preempt human life. Natural law — the understanding that some things are universally evil and should be prohibited, has never been clearer or more necessary. The Days of Noah - By Sean Gooding - https://www.raptureready.com/2024/02/07/the-days-of-noah-by-sean-gooding-2/ Genesis 6:1-8 & Matthew 24: 37-39 “Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 3 And the Lord said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.’ 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. 5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.’ 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Matthew 24:37-39, “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” I am reading a book right now… well, trying to read a book called Fallen. It is a Ph.D. thesis concerning the ‘sons of God’ mentioned in Genesis 6. If you have been around preachers for any period of time and the topic of Genesis 6 and the ‘sons of God’ come up, there are basically two camps. There is the camp that calls the ‘sons of God’ the sons of Seth, and they are not supernatural beings that have copulated with human women. These are human men with human women, and they produced giants. I lean with the second camp that the ‘sons of God’ are, in fact, fallen angels that have been able to have relations with human women, and they produced giants. There are some who avoid this topic; they claim not to be smart enough or that it does not matter. But it does. Jesus makes it a point to remind us that the coming of the Son of Man will be marked by the fact that the world at that time will mimic the days of Noah. There are two parts to the situation described in Genesis 6; the second is the level of evil, an evil so great that it made God feel ‘sorry’ for making Man. Go back to Genesis 2 and see that Man was the crowning glory of God’s creation, and here we are not, and God hates that He has made Man. The first part seems to be the catalyst for this level of evil. The ‘sons of God’ saw that human women were beautiful and married them, had kids, and these kids were giants. There was a genetic melding between the spiritual and the flesh that resulted in giants. I have been researching this for a while, and I do not claim to know it all. But I am on the supernatural side of the equation because of the way that God lays out the verses in Genesis 6. Many would have us read these verses as two separate and unconnected events – the union between angels and women and the level of evil in the world. But God puts them as a hand-in-hand event. Jesus reiterates in Matthew that the time when the Son of Man returns will be like the days of Noah. No one will argue about the level of evil in the world. We, the children of God, are like Lot in Sodom, vexed by the level of evil around us. Every day, we are astonished by the ever-expanding level of evil around us. From the rise of homosexual perversions, the determined efforts to make sexual relationships between adults and minors legal, the rise in things like theft and murder, the sheer level of corruption we see in our governments, and sadly, the scandals that continue to rock the ‘church’ world. Evil is rampant, front and center, and no longer hiding in the shadows. There is a level of evil that transcends human ability, and it is clear that there appears to be supernatural powers behind this evil. We can look back at Genesis 6 and see that one of the signs of the end will be the interference of the evil supernatural into the lives of humans. There will be more and more contact between the fallen angels and the men/women of the earth as we get closer and closer to Jesus’ return. Now, I am still researching this, and I cannot say definitively that fallen angels will once again have access to human women for sexual relations. However, it is clear that genetic manipulations will become more and more prevalent. One of the things that God points out in Genesis 6:9, we see this statement from God: “This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God.” We like to jump to the ‘spiritual’ summary and miss the physical one in this verse. As it has been said, some of us are so heavenly-minded that we are no earthly good. Notice that phrase ‘perfect in his generations.’ God describes this of Noah in the same line as the fact that he was a ‘just man.’ So not only was Noah a godly man, he was GENETICALLY pure. His human DNA was not corrupted all the way back to Adam. This was important because the Messiah had to come directly from Adam (see the genealogy in Luke) so He could redeem us. God killed the whole human race except for Noah and his family to preserve the perfect human genealogy. Now, it would appear that one or more of Noah’s daughters-in-law had ‘affected’ DNA because even after the flood, there were giants. The nation of Israel encountered giants in the wilderness journey, and they conquered the promised land. We are all familiar with David and Goliath and the fact that Goliath had 4 brothers who were also giants. There has been the discovery of giant skeletons and large tools that only have been used by giants all over the world. Lately, there has been news article after article about previous encounters with ‘alien crafts’ from pilots both in the military and commercial fields. My suspicion is that the world is being prepped for the unveiling of current supernatural inference in mankind. As it was in the days of Noah covers both the spiritual and sinful events of Genesis 6. Mankind is sinful, but it appears that we are able to attain an even greater level of evil when we pair our efforts with the fallen supernatural beings. Jesus is coming soon; this means that the level of evil will keep getting worse and worse; woe are we as we see it and await our Lord. So why are most western leaders not taking those threats seriously? Ukraine is not worth fighting a nuclear war over. Both sides would be wise to try to find a peaceful resolution while it is still possible to do so. But instead, we continue to see escalation after escalation. In particular, the Biden administration seems determined to see how close it can go without pushing things completely over the edge. This is very foolish, because the Russians are very serious about fighting a nuclear war if they are pushed too far. This week, Newsweek is reporting that high school students in Russia will be trained what to do if a nuclear war breaks out “as part of the national curriculum”… Russian high-school students will be trained how to protect themselves in a possible nuclear war as part of the national curriculum, a local publication has reported. Students will learn about “the combat properties and damaging effects of weapons of mass destruction, as well as methods of protection against them.” It will be part of a subject being rolled out in high schools in Russia called “Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland,” newspaper Kommersant reported on Tuesday, citing a document from the Ministry of Education. Russian officials, including former President Dmitry Medvedev, have warned on multiple occasions that a nuclear war could break out amid the conflict in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said in September 2022 that Moscow was prepared to use nuclear weapons to defend its “territorial integrity” and the topic is regularly discussed on Russian state TV. Here in the United States we rarely discuss the possibility of nuclear war, and any politician that suggested that we should train our students what to do if a nuclear war happens would be relentlessly mocked. But over in Russia things are much different. As I discuss in my latest book, the Russians have been feverishly preparing to fight a nuclear war, and such a scenario is discussed on Russian television all the time. On Wednesday, the guy that could one day replace Vladimir Putin publicly warned that a war with NATO would result in an “apocalypse” and “the end to everything”… NATO is a huge military bloc, the total population of the Alliance member states is about 1 billion people, and their combined military budget can get as high as $1,5 trillion. So, because our military capabilities are thus incomparable, we will simply be left with no choice. The response will be asymmetrical. To defend our country’s territorial integrity, ballistic and cruise missiles carrying special warheads will be put to use. It is based on our military doctrine documents and is well known to all. And this is exactly that very Apocalypse. The end to everything. This is why Western politicians must be telling the bitter truth to their voters, and stop taking them for brainless morons; to explain to them, what will really happen, and not to play the false mantra of getting ready for war against Russia over and over again. Dmitry Medvedev keeps saying stuff like this over and over again. Since the year 2000, he is the only person to serve as president of Russia other than Vladimir Putin. And once Putin is gone, there is a very good chance that Medvedev will be the one to replace him. If that turns out to be the case, we are going to be in so much trouble. With Medvedev at the helm, the Russians would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons if it became clear that a shooting war with the United States could not be avoided. So you might want to pray for Putin’s health. Yes, I am quite serious about that. Because if Medvedev replaces Putin, the risk of nuclear war would increase dramatically. Elsewhere, the war in the Middle East is rapidly approaching a point of no return. Hezbollah has already attacked Israeli targets more than a thousand times, and the IDF says that it has hit Hezbollah targets approximately 3,000 times… Israel’s military has issued a new assessment which estimates it has launched attacks on some 3,000 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon in Syria since war started after Oct.7. Military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari says that while Israel is nothing seeking a bigger war in Lebanon, it is “certainly ready” and that the defense forces (IDF) are ready to “attack immediately if provoked.” Hezbollah has been hitting back on a daily basis too, with villages and communities on both sides of the border being impacted, and in some cases resulting in civilian casualties. When Israel hits targets in Syria, it tends to describe these as “Iran-linked”, which often means Hezbollah. The good news is that an all-out war on the northern front has not erupted yet. But that could soon change. The Israelis are absolutely determined to get Hezbollah to move their forces north of the Litani River, and they are prepared to send troops into Lebanon if Hezbollah will not do that willingly… Israel now says that time is running out for diplomacy as the two sides spiral toward bigger war. “Israel has said, though, that it’s prepared to open another front with a military attack on southern Lebanon if Hezbollah doesn’t move back to about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the border, as per the terms of a long-standing United Nations resolution,” according to Bloomberg. Once the IDF enters southern Lebanon, there will be no turning back. It won’t happen tomorrow, but Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz is warning that time is running out… Israel’s Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz met his French counterpart on Monday, warning him that “time [is] running out to find a diplomatic solution in Lebanon,” and indicating that his country was prepared to go to war if diplomacy fails. The reason is that, since October 7, Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based group linked to Iran, has carried out hundreds of attacks on Israeli targets. Fearing an influx of militants that could potentially invade and conquer parts of the country, some 60,000 northern Israelis have opted to leave, seeking refuge in the center, away from the hostilities. I am entirely convinced that the war in the Middle East will get really crazy at some point in 2024. And that won’t be good news for anyone. I also believe that the war in Ukraine will soon enter a dangerous new phase. The Ukrainians are becoming increasingly desperate, and they will be looking for ways to drag the western powers into the conflict. Let us hope that doesn’t happen any time soon, because a direct conflict with Russia could easily spark a nuclear apocalypse. Revelation 20: Saddest moment in human history hasn't happened yet - By Mark Creech - https://www.christianpost.com/voices/revelation-20-saddest-moment-in-human-history-hasnt-happened.html In the quiet warmth of our den, I sat beside my little boy, his golden hair shimmering under the gentle afternoon sunlight pouring through our picture window. His little legs, no longer than the length of the couch cushion, dangled over the edge as he leaned in closer, his eyes wide with wonder and cheeks flushed a rosy red. The room was filled with an air of anticipation, for we were about to embark on a wondrous journey together — a journey through the pages of a children’s Bible storybook. As I opened the book’s cover, his whole countenance lit up, eager to immerse himself in this tale of old, but a true story as all Bible accounts are. For this reading, we chose to explore the story of Adam and Eve. In the simplest of terms, it spoke of a paradise, a place called Eden, where the first married couple lived in blissful harmony with God and creation. While we ventured through the book’s pages, the images of an unspoiled garden were painted before us, where the birds sang in sweet harmony, and the flowers danced in the gentle breeze. It was a place of marvels and curiosity, where Adam and Eve’s hearts knew no sorrow, no sickness, and their souls were always satisfied and filled with boundless joy. But then, as every story must have its turning point, came the serpent – the embodiment of deception and temptation. He fooled Adam and Eve into doing the one thing God had earnestly urged them not to do — to eat from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As the narrative unfolded, I could see the import of Adam and Eve’s choice bearing down heavily on my son’s thoughts. His innocent smile which beforehand adorned his face had left him. With misty eyes and voice quivering, he looked at me and said, “That’s the saddest story I’ve ever heard, Daddy.” I could feel the weight of his words sinking deep into me, for in that moment, I knew he had glimpsed the profound tragedy of humanity’s fall away from God. Paradise was lost, sorrow, sickness, and even death had entered the world. With one arm wrapped around his small frame, I pulled him close to myself. His body now slumped with the burden of the knowledge he had acquired. And in the hush of that tender trice, I replied, “Indeed, it is a sad story, son, very sad. Indeed, it is.” Surrounded by the warmth of our shared love, I realized this simple chronicle from time’s beginning held within it the essence of human history’s deepest sorrows. It was a reminder that even from the creation, the fragility of innocence and the significance of our choices can result in the saddest of consequences — a truth that has echoed through every age. Some might argue, however, that the story of Adam and Eve, the account given in the book of Genesis, is not the saddest in human history. Instead, it is the one near the end of the Bible in the book of Revelation. Revelation chapter 20 verses 11 through 15 read: “And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-15). Per the prophetic vision presented in the book of Revelation, the apostle John bears witness to an impending Judgment Day, one that occurs at the culmination of Earth’s existence. Within the narrative of Revelation, this momentous event transpires after the triumphant return of Christ, who has vanquished the forces of darkness in the apocalyptic clash known as Armageddon. The Antichrist and the False Prophet have met their eternal fate and have been consigned to the depths of the infernal Lake of Fire. Satan has been confined and will be bound for a duration of one thousand years, thereby removing the presence of his deceptive powers over the nations. During this remarkable era of unparalleled peace and prosperity, referenced as the Millennial Kingdom, the world undergoes a process of rejuvenation and restoration under the benevolent rule of Christ and his saints. Yet, a sobering moment arrives when the Adversary is temporarily released from his chains in the abyss, and the sincerity of the world’s devotion to God is tested. Sadly, a significant number defy God’s gracious sovereignty once more. In response, God’s divine fiery retribution descends from the heavens, engulfing all who are in league with the devil. At the culmination of these events, a most astonishing and reverential spectacle unfolds. God’s celestial throne, radiating with an immaculate, resplendent white light, manifests within the cosmos. Individuals from every stratum of society, be they influential or inconspicuous, experience a bodily resurrection, and are reunited with their corporeal forms. They stand in solemn assembly before this transcendent throne to give an account of their earthly lives. Regardless of the places where their mortal remains repose — whether within the confines of coroner’s offices, conventional cemeteries, imposing mausoleums, hidden crypts, the depths of the sea, above-ground tombs, military burial grounds, memorial sites, or gardens, and even where their ashes have been scattered — every soul, now dust and bone, shall be resurrected to face this divine tribunal in the ultimate, as well as saddest moment of fear and trembling for mankind. No one who possesses any respect for God’s authority and power can read the words in Revelation chapter 20: 11-15, and not be disturbed. Unless, however, the person who reads them knows that the judgment for his or her sins has previously taken place. The believer’s judgment for sin took place on the Cross of Calvary. On the Cross, Christ bore in full measure the judgment of those who trust in him as their Savior and Lord. This is not to say believers will not have to face judgment, too. The Bible speaks of two judgments, one for the saints and another for sinners. One for the sheep and one for the goats (Matthew 25:31-46). The judgment of the saints is called, “The Judgment Seat of Christ.” Not much is said about the Judgment Seat of Christ in the book of Revelation, but there are other texts which speak of it (2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10; I Corinthians 3:10-15; I Corinthians 4:5; Revelation 22:12). The emphasis of the believer’s judgment is not sin, but to determine what rewards, if any at all, the believer deserves for faithfulness to Christ. The judgment described in Revelation chapter 20, however, is not for the saved, but for the unsaved. Their names are not written in the Book of Life. In the Old Testament, The Book of Life is mentioned as a record of where the names of those who belong to God are written. Moses was so burdened for God to forgive the sins of his fellow Israelites, that the Bible says he was willing to be blotted out of God’s Book of Life if that would save them (Exodus 32:32-33). The psalmist spoke of his enemies being blotted out of the book of the living (Psalm 69:28). In a prophetic context, Daniel mentioned The Book of Life, which contained the names of those who will be delivered during the end times (Daniel 12:1). In the New Testament, emphasizing their right standing before God, Paul noted that his fellow worker’s names were in The Book of Life (Philippians 4:3). In Revelation chapter 3 and verse 5, Jesus told the church in Sardis that everyone faithful to him would also conquer with him, and he promised that their names would not be erased from The Book of Life. Revelation chapter 13 and verse 8, as well as chapter 17 and verse 8, say that the Book of Life was written before the foundation of the world, which indicates God’s eternal knowledge of every human being. In essence, every person conceived and born into this world has their existence and identity recorded within the pages of God’s divine ledger. However, this interstellar record carries an important caveat: should individuals fail to seize the extraordinary opportunity which God has provided for their redemption in Christ, their names will be blotted out from the Book of Life. This erasure signifies not only removal from God’s Book but also the loss of any memory of that person. In this last and final judgment at the end of the thousand years, these people are raised bodily from hades and the grave, where they have been held for this judgment to stand before God and face the reckoning of their deeds at his Great White Throne. Some scorn and laugh at this warning from the Bible. That’s nothing new. They laughed when Noah as a “herald of righteousness” solemnly warned the masses of his day that God would soon judge the world with a mighty flood (2 Peter 2:5). Though they disbelieved, the rains still fell profusely, and a universal deluge swept the entire world clean of their presence. When Lot learned from the two angels that God was going to destroy Sodom, he hastened to his sons-in-law, who were married to his daughters, and warned them to leave without delay and take their families to safety. But they didn’t take Lot seriously. They thought he was joking, and they were subsequently destroyed when God showered the city with fire and brimstone. The prophet Amos confronted significant opposition and disbelief when he delivered his warnings to the people of Israel regarding their impending judgment. His prophetic ministry unfolded during a period marked by prosperity and materialism within the Northern Kingdom. Sadly, his earnest calls for repentance were met with disdain by people who had grown complacent in their transgressions and were unwilling to acknowledge the gravity of their offenses before a holy God. In his poignant plea, Amos implored them to “Prepare to meet God” (Amos 4:12). Nevertheless, their hearts remained unyielding, and the consequences of their disobedience ultimately came to pass, leading to Israel’s grievous judgment of exile and captivity. Today the circumstances aren’t much different. Like any other country, people in America engage in a wide array of sinful behaviors and lifestyles. Nonetheless, it could be correctly argued the judgment of many in this country will be greater than the judgment of others, because of the easy access this nation has had to the Gospel message of salvation, as well as the many other teachings of the Word of God. Jesus solemnly said, “But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required” (Luke 12:15). The writer of the book of Hebrews counseled: “Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us” (Hebrews 10:26-29). Isn’t this exactly what so many are doing in our own time? Most people live in a rich landscape of opportunity to hear and respond to the message of God’s offer of reconciliation in Christ. Churches, where the Gospel is preached, hold regular services. The Gospel message is repeatedly televised and heard on the radio. Thousands of Christian websites, podcasts, YouTube channels, and streaming platforms provide sermons and Bible studies to almost anyone and any place. Bibles are everywhere, Christian books, magazines, and pamphlets. Christian articles on every Bible subject can easily be found online. Evangelistic campaigns, revivals, and conferences are held in various locations. There is Christian music readily available, making the Gospel known in almost every genre. Missionaries and pastors are constantly engaged in outreach activities. Moreover, there is usually always someone, somewhere, within earshot talking about Jesus and the need to be forgiven and transformed by the power of Christ. Nevertheless, despite this, most people close their minds, shutter their hearts, and willfully continue their sinning. They misuse drugs and alcohol. They have extramarital affairs and sexual relationships outside of marriage and wickedly cover it up with an abortion. They immerse themselves in pornography, and thereby often, unbeknownst to them, support human trafficking. They lie, cheat, and engage in fraudulent activities. They excessively pursue wealth and materialism while neglecting and forgetting the needy. They pervert the institution of marriage with men marrying men and women marrying women and call what God calls sinful, sacred. They are lawless, violent, and disrespectful of authority figures. They steal by illegal and legal means. They hate what is righteous and loathe what is good, and all the while never give a moment’s thought to when they will answer for every sin, should they continue turning a deaf ear to God’s call for repentance and salvation. Lest some read the previous list of transgressions and think they are safe; it should be noted that it is not only those who are flagrant about their depravity who shall be judged but also those who are prideful and think somehow they are worthy of entering God’s Kingdom on their own merit. Some feel they have been good enough. Jesus once contrasted the attitudes and prayers of two men. One, a very religious man, compared himself to others and boasted about his own perceived goodness. He wrongly assumed that God received him on this basis. The other man, however, Jesus said, recognized his corruption of heart. Standing at a distance and acknowledging to God the gravity of his many sins, he implored God in prayer: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Jesus said it was the second individual that went home justified, not the first man. It is not our good deeds that ensure our names are written in the Book of Life. Instead, it is the recognition of our sin and desperate need for grace, the unmerited favor of God, which opens the door to his blissful rest. We finally see salvation is not what we do, but what Christ has done for us. But some are too proud to believe this and thereby insist that they be judged by their works and not grace, and so they shall be at that terrible Great White Throne, where it will be shown what Isaiah said: “We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind” (Isaiah 64:6). Every day, every hour, people of the world are getting closer to when the tomes of human existence will be unveiled, and every page of the books will be read aloud in the presence of him who sits on the Great White Throne. No sin, not even a little one, will go unpunished and the degree of punishment in hell will be calculated by him who always adjudicates with perfect justice. The sentence will then be declared and executed. Death will then forever die, and the grave will be no more, and those whose names were not written in the Book of Life will be thrown into an eternal firestorm — not a place of annihilation but a place where God’s presence is not — where there is no love and no joy, only a profound sense of emptiness, despair, regret, remorse, and missed opportunities for redemption. There will be both physical and psychological suffering, fire and darkness, weeping and wailing, and gnashing of teeth. The torment will be eternal, forever fueled by the unrepented sins judged at the Great White Throne. Yes, this seems to be the saddest story — the saddest moment in human history. But it doesn’t have to be that way for you if you turn away from your sins and turn to Christ. The saddest moment in human history hasn’t happened yet. There’s still time to make matters right with God. Don’t delay. Daily Jot: The real election interference - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com While the Democratic Party, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton conspired to, but unsuccessfully, implicate 2016 Republican candidate for President Donald Trump and Russia in an election interference scheme (and spending millions in taxpayer dollars to prove nothing), there is even a bigger election interference occurring today. It is obvious that the Democrats have weaponized their court appointments and elected Democrat prosecutors to try to put Trump behind bars. But there is even a greater election interference taking place that has deeper pockets and far-reaching political ramifications. These are found in the World Economic Forum in general and China in particular. A December 2023 report published by the Director of National Intelligence documented how China has an ongoing initiative to influence US elections against those who viewed as anti-China. The report said, “Peoples Republic of China (PRC) intelligence officers, diplomats, and other influence actors probably viewed some election influence activities as consistent with Beijing’s standing guidance to counter US politicians viewed as anti-China and to support others viewed as pro-China…Beijing almost certainly viewed the US midterm elections as an opportunity to portray the US democratic model as chaotic, ineffective, and unrepresentative, and frequently directed PRC messaging to highlight US divisions on social issues, such as abortion and gun control.” This sounds a lot like the Biden approach toward all his critics. Even deeper election interference could be discerned from global elites that gathered at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland from January 15-19. These are the wealthiest and most influential people in the world. They control policy, banks, corporations and governments. In a January 17 interview with Bloomberg, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde said, “We are all concerned about it (2024 presidential election) because the United States is the largest economy, the largest defense country and the world, and has been a beacon of democracy with all its upside and downside.” She also described Trump as clear threat to Europe in another interview. Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown told CNBC, “I’m worried about the threat of a Trump presidency.” Current Vice Chairman of BlackRock Philipp Hildebrand told Bloomberg, “Certainly, from a European perspective, from a kind of globalist, Atlanticist perspective, it’s of course a great concern.” Many others chimed from the same playbook, which sounds like the same playbook used by Biden and the Democratic Party. Don’t think that these people with withhold their influence, power and money in the spirit of fairness during the 2024 election. They are coming after Trump and they are working with the Democratic Party to do it. That is foreign election interference. As 2 Timothy 3:13 says, “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” They accuse others of exactly what they are doing. Daily Devotion: No Higher Calling - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. —Ephesians 1:1 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/no-higher-calling/ - Listen We might think that people in the church who are called to be pastors, evangelists, or worship leaders are the spiritual elite of today. However, every one of us is called to be something by the will of God. Paul began his letter to the believers in Ephesus by saying, “This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 1:1 NLT). Not many people were called to be apostles, and indeed, Paul was in a position of significant leadership. But we also need to realize something. Paul’s Hebrew name was Saul. No doubt, his parents named him after the first king of Israel. King Saul was known for his attractiveness and his remarkable height. Young Saul of Tarsus probably took great pride in his name. He also had a notable spiritual pedigree and ultimately became a member of the Pharisees. And he was possibly a member of the ruling council known as the Sadducees. Yet Saul found emptiness in his life, which sent him on a quest that ultimately resulted in his committing his life to Jesus Christ. And then he started using his Roman name, Paul. We may not see this as all that significant, but the name Paul means “little.” Perhaps this gives us some insight as to why God so powerfully used the apostle Paul. He saw himself as little in the sight of God. Before, he might have boasted in his accomplishments, learning, and everything that he had. But after his encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus, he recognized that he was a little man before God. This reminds us that we can never be too small for God to use, but we can think of ourselves as too big. God, according to His will, called Paul to be an apostle. In the same way, God might call someone to be an accountant according to His will, a police officer according to His will, or a doctor according to His will. Let’s say, for instance, that you were having chest pains. Would you want a pastor by the will of God? No, you would want a doctor by the will of God. You want someone who knows what they’re doing. Or, if someone is threatening your life, would you want a doctor by the will of God? No, you would want a police officer by the will of God. Then again, maybe you’re having problems with your finances and can’t balance your books. You don’t need a police officer, a doctor, or a pastor. What you really need is an accountant by the will of God. Each of us has a part to play. Maybe you think that preaching is a higher calling. Granted, it is a high calling and a privilege. But don’t feel as though you’re a second-class Christian if you’re not in full-time ministry. The highest calling is what God has called us to be. There is nothing higher. Therefore, we need to be faithful to what God has set before us.
