The Error That Causes Christians To Misunderstand The Purpose Of The Tribulation – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-error-that-bores-holes-into-christians-understanding-of-the-tribulation/ The 70th week of Daniel, also known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble and the Great Tribulation, is one of, if not the most, decisive arguments for the pre-tribulation Rapture of the church. Daniel 9:24 KJV – “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.” There are six things that are prophesied to happen during the seventy seven-year-periods spoken of here that are in relation to Daniel’s people, the Jews, and the holy city, Jerusalem. To finish the transgression means to bring Israel’s apostasy to an end. To make an end of sins means to bring sin under final judgment. To make reconciliation for iniquity is a reference to the means by which sins will come under final judgment, which is through the cross of Christ. It is this same means that will usher in everlasting righteousness and vision. It is also through this reconciliation that prophecies concerning the Jews and Jerusalem will be fulfilled, and through which the Most Holy will be anointed as King to sit on David’s throne and rule from Jerusalem over the whole of the world. Hosea 5:15 KJV – “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.” The seventieth week of Daniel is a time when God is dealing with the nation of Israel, Daniel’s people, and the city of Jerusalem. It is specific to them as a time of affliction that will cause the earnest seeking of the One they have long rejected. Yes, millions of others will be saved during this time of affliction, but there is no mention of the presence of the church during the seventieth week of Daniel. If the church has replaced Israel then to whom is Hosea referring? What offense has the church committed, and how can they be the church and not seek His face? If they have not earnestly sought Him and only affliction can make them do so, then the sufferings of Christ did not create a glorious church without spot or wrinkle washed in the blood of the Lamb. The only possible answer to these questions is that God is not finished with the nation of Israel! It is only through this amazing truth that remedy can be made for the damage done to the integrity of Scripture and the holes left in the prophetic narrative that are caused by believing the church has replaced Israel. Zechariah 12:10 KJV – “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” The church is not the house of David nor is the church the inhabitants of Jerusalem nor did the church pierce the Lord at His crucifixion. There was no church when Jesus died and rose again. The church was born after He ascended and the Holy Spirit came. God is not done with the nation of Israel and that is something to rejoice in. God does not choose people, giving them unconditional and everlasting promises, only to later cast them off forever or replace them with another group. Israel is back in their national homeland and that means the time of their affliction is near. The Bride will be in the Father’s house during that time for the church does not have an appointment with God’s wrath and her reconciliation to the Father has already come to pass. On April 8th, The Great American Eclipse Of 2024 Will Cross Over 7 U.S. Locations Named “Ninevah” - by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/on-april-8th-the-great-american-eclipse-of-2024-will-cross-over-7-u-s-locations-named-ninevah/ I am going to share something truly amazing with you in this article, and once again a lot of naysayers out there will dismiss it as a “coincidence” that really doesn’t mean anything. But how is it possible that such a vast number of “coincidences” just happen to take place in April 2024? Last Friday, I told my core supporters about an amazing discovery regarding how the sun, the moon, and the seven other planets in our solar system will be aligned during the Great American Eclipse on April 8th. In this article, I am going to focus on seven specific locations that are named “Ninevah” which just happen to fall within the path of the Great American Eclipse on April 8th. Let me start by going back almost 7 years. On August 21st, 2017 the first Great American Eclipse made headlines all over the nation. It was also known as “the Seven Salem Eclipse” because the path of that eclipse crossed over seven U.S. locations named “Salem”… -Salem, Oregon -Salem, Idaho -Salem, Wyoming -Salem, Nebraska -Salem, Missouri -Salem, Kentucky -Salem, South Carolina Salem is short for “Jerusalem”, and that is why so many early Americans chose that name for their communities. Now the second Great American Eclipse is almost here, and the path of that eclipse will cross over seven U.S. locations named “Ninevah”… -Nineveh, Texas -Nineveh, Missouri -Nineveh, Indiana -Nineveh, Ohio -Nineveh, Pennsylvania -Nineveh, Virginia -Nineveh, New York The eclipse will also cross over a location named “Ninevah” in the province of Nova Scotia in Canada. So that is why you sometimes see lists of “8 Ninevahs” on social media. In some of these locations residents will be able to view a total solar eclipse, and in others only a partial solar eclipse will be able to be viewed. So what do we know about Ninevah? Well, Genesis chapter 10 tells us that Ninevah was built by Nimrod, and I think that is very noteworthy. In addition, Wikipedia tells us that the path of the Bur-Sagale eclipse crossed over Ninevah on June 15th, 763 BC… The Assyrian eclipse, also known as the Bur-Sagale eclipse, is a solar eclipse recorded in Assyrian eponym lists that most likely dates to the tenth year of the reign of king Ashur-dan III. The eclipse is identified with the one that occurred on 15 June 763 BC in the proleptic Julian calendar. Some believe that the Bur-Sagale eclipse happened at the same time that Jonah was in Ninevah warning the population that the city would be destroyed… The Bur-Sagale eclipse occurred over the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh in the middle of the reign of Jeroboam II, who ruled Israel from 786 to 746 B.C. According to 2 Kings 14:25, the prophet Jonah lived and prophesied in Jeroboam’s reign. The biblical scholar Donald Wiseman has speculated that the eclipse took place around when Jonah arrived in Nineveh and urged the people to repent, otherwise the city would be destroyed. This would explain the dramatic repentance of the people of Nineveh as described in the Book of Jonah. Ancient cultures, including Assyria, viewed eclipses as omens of imminent destruction, and the empire was in chaos at this time, struggling with revolts, famines and two separate outbreaks of plague. I can understand how the appearance of such an eclipse could have been seen as strong confirmation of Jonah’s message to the people of Ninevah. Now a historic solar eclipse of our own is here. But instead of crossing over just one “Ninevah”, our solar eclipse will be crossing over seven “Ninevahs”. It is being reported that the Great American Eclipse of 2024 will be the most viewed astronomical event in all of U.S. history. Interestingly, out of more than 19,000 cities, towns and villages in the United States, the very first community in the U.S. that the path of the eclipse will touch will be Eagle Pass, Texas. Of course Eagle Pass, Texas has become “ground zero” of the national immigration crisis… Residents in a border city in Texas have revealed how police and National Guard troops have taken over – seizing their properties as migrants’ trash lines the streets. Eagle Pass, which is home to 28,500 Texans, has become the ground zero in the country-wide political fight, as swathes of lawmakers, celebrities and journalists flock to give their two cents on the ever-swelling migrant border crisis. Illegal migrants crossing has overwhelmed nearly every sector in Eagle Pass – but state and federal responses have too, weary residents say. The Del Rio sector, including Eagle Pass, reported 16,718 migrant arrests in January. The issue has become exacerbated under Joe Biden – and the southern border has witnessed a record of at least 6.3 million migrants crossing since he took office. Just another “coincidence”, eh? There is one more thing about the month of April that I wanted to mention. In late April, billions of 13-year cicadas and billions of 17-year cicadas will start emerging from the ground simultaneously for the first time since Thomas Jefferson was president… This spring, two different broods of cicadas — one that lives on a 13-year cycle and the other that lives on a 17-year cycle — will emerge at the same time from underground in a rare, synchronized event that last occurred in 1803. Billions of the winged insects will make an appearance across the Midwest and the Southeast, beginning in some places in late April, for a raucous mating ritual that tends to inspire fascination and annoyance in equal measure. This year’s dual emergence is a once-in-a-lifetime event. While any given 13-year brood and 17-year brood can occasionally emerge at the same time, each specific pair will see their cycles aligned only once every 221 years. What’s more, this year’s cicada groups, known as Brood XIII and Brood XIX, happened to make their homes adjacent to one another, with a narrow overlap in central Illinois. A narrow overlap in central Illinois? That is odd, because the path of the Great American Eclipse of 2017 and the path of the Great American Eclipse of 2024 just happen to intersect in Illinois. A giant “X” over America is being formed by the paths of those two eclipses, and that giant “X” will finally be completed on April 8th. There is so much more about these two eclipses in my most recent book entitled “Chaos”. But as I stated there, I am not anticipating that any particular event will happen on April 8th. Rather, I believe that what we will witness on April 8th is a sign and a warning for the entire nation. Just like the city of Ninevah in the ancient world, we are being given an opportunity to change direction. Will we take advantage of that opportunity, or will we ignore it? With a deep understanding of classical Jewish and Christian sources, Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries is sharing his insights into the upcoming solar eclipse that will take place on Monday, April 8, 2024. The total eclipse will pass over Mexico from the Pacific Ocean at around 11:07 a.m. PDT and continue over the United States, starting in the Southwest and moving northeast until it passes over the shore of the northeast U.S. in northern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The eclipse will exit continental North America on the Atlantic coast of Newfoundland, Canada, at 5:16 p.m. NDT. It will be the first solar eclipse visible in the continental U.S. since Aug. 21, 2017, and the only total solar eclipse in the 21st century where the totality will be visible in Mexico, the United States and Canada. It will also be the last total solar eclipse visible in the contiguous United States for the next two decades – until Aug. 23, 2044. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between earth and the sun, thereby obscuring the image of the sun for a viewer on earth. A total solar eclipse occurs when the moon's apparent diameter (as seen from earth) is larger than the sun's, blocking all direct sunlight and turning day into darkness. As it happens, the moon will make the month’s closest approach to earth (just 223,000 miles) one day before the total solar eclipse, thereby appearing its largest on the day it crosses between the earth and the sun. Total eclipse occurs only in a narrow path across the earth's surface, with the partial solar eclipse visible over a surrounding region thousands of miles wide. In the Bible, solar events are recorded as having a remarkable and sometimes supernatural significance. Control over the sun was demonstrated by God in the three-day Plague of Darkness, and is prophesied to be an essential part of the End Times. The Prophet Joel (2:31) predicted, “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.” The Prophet Amos makes a similar prediction: “And in that day – declares my God – I will make the sun set at noon, I will darken the earth on a sunny day.” In giving rebuke to Hezekiah to inform him that he would die from his illness, the prophet Isaiah (13:9) wrote, “The stars and constellations of heaven shall not give off their light; The sun shall be dark when it rises, And the moon shall diffuse no glow.” As Isaiah predicted – and as much later calculated by NASA – on March 5 in 702 BC, the 16th year before Hezekiah’s death, a prominent solar eclipse appeared over the Middle East. Its path crossed the Arabian Peninsula and the obscuration of the sun over Israel was more than 60 percent. A similar darkness is described in the New Testament after Jesus’ crucifixion (Mark 15: 32-33) and again in Revelation 6:12 as a sign of the End Times. Biltz, the author of "Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs," is an expert in both Christian and Jewish sources, and correlates solar and lunar eclipses with biblical prophecy. He went to great lengths to explain the prophetic implications of the 2017 solar eclipse, though at the time, skeptics scoffed at his explanations. However, in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic and wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, far fewer objections are to be heard in advance of the upcoming 2024 solar eclipse. “From a biblical point of view, a solar eclipse is meant to be a sign from God,” said Biltz, citing Genesis 1:14. “It is a sign that is beyond man’s control, something he cannot manipulate.” Biltz has a love of both the Bible and astronomy and takes on this biblical verse as a personal service, struggling to understand the celestial signs. In 2008, he was studying the dates of the solar eclipses: “If you refer to NASA’s data, there's been a total of 12,000 total solar eclipses all over the world listed over a 5,000-year time period,” said Biltz. “I don't know if you realize this, but … then there are several different types of solar eclipses and lunar eclipses – your total, your partial, your penumbral, yeah, no hybrid, different types. And so, I did the math, and it's pretty simple to do.” “And so, when I saw those, I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, when was the last time this happened?” With a bit of research, Biltz discovered that a solar eclipse took place in 1948, the year Israel declared itself a nation, and again in 1967, when Israel emerged victorious from the Six-Day War and unified Jerusalem. With a little more research, he discovered another solar eclipse in 1492, the year the Jews were expelled from Spain and Portugal. Remarkably, a partial solar eclipse appeared above both Rome and Jerusalem in 67 AD. One year later, Nero committed suicide and in the year 70, the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans. Intrigued by these convergent facts, Pastor Biltz was puzzled by the appearance of four blood moons in 2014-2015. If the celestial events were signs, what did the blood moons signify? In an epiphany, he realized that the celestial signs were part of a much larger cycle based in the Hebrew calendar. The Hebrew year that began on Rosh Hashanah in September 2014 marked the beginning of a seven-year Shemitah (sabbatical) cycle. “This is not a random seven-year cycle,” Biltz emphasized. “Rosh Hashanah in 2014 marked the beginning of the Hebrew year 5775. The Shemittah years all go back to Creation. If you divide 5775 by 7, it is precisely 825. September 2014, or, more accurately, the first of Tishrei 5775, was the 825th Shemittah cycle since God created the world.” After connecting the blood moons to the Shemitah cycle, Biltz realized they had prophetic significance: They came as a sign to herald war. “The Yom Kippur War in 1973 was followed by four blood moons in 1968 and happened on the very day of the beginning of the 50-year Jubilee cycle,” Biltz said. “In 2014, we had four blood moons which preceded the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, exactly one Shemitah cycle later. It fell on the holy day of Shemini Atzeret and on the last day of the High Holidays. Hamas attacked Israel and started the Iron Swords War. That was the last day of that 50-year Jubilee cycle that began in 1973 with the Yom Kippur War.” Pastor Biltz noted the upcoming solar eclipse will take place on Rosh Chodesh Nisan, the new moon marking the beginning of the month which is referred to in the Bible as “the first month.” “That is the very beginning of the religious calendar,” he said. “It is the very day God's glory fell on Moses' tabernacle. It's the Inauguration Day of Moses’ tabernacle. It's also the same day, though, that day Nadav and Avihu died for offering strange incense. “The first of Nisan has a huge biblical meaning. It's the beginning. And just like it's the beginning of the inauguration of the tabernacle, I believe it's going to be the beginning of judgment upon America.” “And Rosh Chodesh Nisan was the beginning of the three days of darkness in Egypt,” Biltz added. “The nice thing about eclipses is that no false prophet can fake it, like Pharaoh in Egypt trying to have his magicians multiply the frogs. An eclipse speaks in every language. It doesn't have to be translated. It is a uniquely powerful sign from God.” Pastor Biltz referred to the Talmud in its discussion of eclipses (Sukkot 29a) which specifically described solar eclipses as being a bad omen for the nations who base their calendars on the solar cycle. The Talmud states that if an eclipse appeared in the West, it is a sign that idol worship has prevailed. At the end of its section describing the omens contained within eclipses, the Talmud states a disclaimer: “When Israel does the will of God, they have nothing to fear from all of this,” citing the Prophet Jeremiah as a source. “Do not learn to go the way of the nations, And do not be dismayed by portents in the sky; Let the nations be dismayed by them!” (Jeremiah 10:2) “Nisan is the very beginning of the religious calendar,” Biltz said. “It is the very day God's glory fell on Moses' tabernacle, and the glory failed. It's the Inauguration Day of Moses’ tabernacle. It's also the same day, though, that day Nadav and Avihu died for offering strange incense. So it has a huge biblical meaning. It's the beginning. And just like it's the beginning of the inauguration of the tabernacle, I believe it's going to be the beginning of judgment upon America.” Eclipse path to converge on ‘Little Egypt’ Interestingly, April’s eclipse will have a narrow path roughly 115 miles wide which will cross the path of the total solar eclipse of 2017, with the intersection of the two paths being in southern Illinois – in the town of Makanda, just south of Carbondale. The spectacle will last up to 4 minutes, 28 seconds in the path of total darkness – twice as long as the total solar eclipse of 2017. The paths of the two eclipses form a transcontinental ‘X.’ In a strange coincidence, the only spot in the path of both eclipses, receiving a double-dose of this modern plague of darkness, and the point of the longest duration for both eclipses, is a particular part of southern Illinois, known appropriately enough as Little Egypt. The complete solar eclipse that transversed the continental United States in August 2017 ushered in the most devastating hurricane season in U.S. history. Four days after the eclipse, Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Gulf Coast of Texas, the first major hurricane to do so in over a decade. The hurricane resulted in unprecedented flooding that prompted more than 13,000 rescues, displaced more than 30,000 people and inundated hundreds of thousands of homes. At least 38 confirmed deaths were attributed to the hurricane and damages were estimated at up to $160 billion. Pastor Mark Biltz goes into depth concerning the current relevance of all these celestial events in his soon-to-be-released book, “America at War 2024-2026: The Sons of Light vs. the Sons of Darkness,” in which he explains “heavenly signs of coming wars.” WATCH: https://youtu.be/NeWXt4hXTs4 The Modern-Day Purveyors of Fear and False Peace – By Jonathan Brentner - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-modern-day-purveyors-of-fear-and-false-peace/ A realistic look at our world is enough to generate much anxiety. The widespread wickedness, violence, government corruption, and continual rumors of WWIII and/or terrorist attacks often set off alarms concerning our future well-being. I write as one who is not immune to the panic that comes from living amid the multiple threats to our livelihood and safety. Where do we go when the perils of this life spark anger within us or cause us to retreat within ourselves in fear of what might happen next? The most popular response today is to fall for the illusion that all will be well in the future. The lure of solutions that offer refuge apart from the arms of Jesus is strong; we must be aware of their appeal so that we do not place our hope in them. Cisterns That Hold No Water During a recent interview, David Fiorarzo asked me about how those who dismiss the promises of Bible prophecy deal with today’s terrors. I offered one suggestion, but as I have continued to think about his question, the words of Jeremiah 2:12-13 have sparked other possible responses. Below are the words to this passage that speak to both those in Christ and those who have not placed their hope in Him: Jeremiah 2:12-13 KJV – “Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.” Below are several “broken cisterns” that only give the appearance of relief in our fear-mongering world. 1. The Mainstream Media The mainstream media, which includes the likes of CNN, ABC, CBS, and MSNBC, first creates fear. These news outlets create panic through false narratives regarding such things as climate change or pandemics in order to lead people to their empty remedies that provide no lasting relief and often generate more anger and fear. The words of Proverbs 13:20 aptly sum up the difference between looking at today’s woes through the lens of Bible prophecy versus that of relying on what the mainstream media offers, “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” The root word for “companion,” in the original, pictures the idea of sheep grazing in a pasture. Those who “graze” upon the world’s perspective offered by the mainstream media will surely “suffer harm” because it always leads to a rejection of biblical wisdom. 2. Gaslighting The mainstream media furthers today’s rampant deception by repeating and substantiating false claims. It’s gaslighting, the repeated confirmation of lies that contradict both what we see and hear. In just the past few weeks, I have either read or heard all of the following affirmations presented as though they were well-established facts:
It doesn’t matter that such statements contradict reality, or even each other, people accept them as truth because they repeatedly hear the same lies on mainstream news outlets. These purveyors of evil know that if they repeat a lie often enough, many will blindly accept it as the truth. 3. Conspiracy Theories What about those of us that point out the valid threats to our future well-being? Oh, according to those wishing to ignore the threats, what we say lacks any connection to the real world. Those seeking water in the broken cisterns of today regard our warnings as “conspiracy theories.” Sadly, many Christians also close their ears to those of us who connect today’s world with Bible prophecy. “What we see today are not signs of the last days,” they say, “but rather the products of conspiracy theorists who begin with what they read or hear in the news and then twist Scripture to match.” 4. Help Is Most Certainly Not on The Way In the past, I placed too much of my hope in political solutions. I eventually discovered the futility of thinking that politicians can reverse the current path of corruption, evil, and violence in my country. They cannot. I’m not saying we as believers should abandon this arena altogether, just that we recognize the futility of hoping that winning elections will eliminate the perils of our day and reverse the course of one’s nation. I know from experience that such a path leads to great disappointment. Former President George W. Bush ran for the high office with the campaign slogan, “Help is on the way.” However, this quip from Ronald Reagan is far closer to the truth, “The most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’” 5. Modern-Day Purveyors of A False Peace The most popular coping mechanism among Christians today is that of trusting the church rather than the Lord Jesus for deliverance from the evils of this age. The words below, taken from Kari Jobes’ song “Amen (Simple Gospel),” exemplify this misplaced confidence and not only that, do greatly dishonor the Name of our Savior: The church will arise With power and love Our cities will know The glory of God The future is bright There’s nothing to fear Revival is now The Kingdom is here. The current popularity of seeking refuge inside the walls of our churches results from pastors who promote this illusion of security from the ills of our day. They peddle peace at a time when it most surely doesn’t exist. In response to the warnings of Jeremiah and Ezekiel concerning God’s judgment on ancient Judah, those charged with the spiritual care of the people at that time proclaimed “peace, peace, when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14 and also Ezekiel 13:10). I believe the Lord’s message to many pastors today would mirror the rebuke that He spoke long ago through His prophets to the spiritual shepherds in ancient Judah. Like the mythical sandman, they lull people to sleep with fanciful dreams of a future filled with peace devoid of the Lord’s soon intervention in our world. The Name of The Lord There is a safe place amid the terrors of today. The words Proverbs 18:10 very much apply to us today: Proverbs 18:10 KJV – “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” The “name of the Lord” consists both of the words of Scripture He has given to us and His indwelling presence through the Holy Spirit in us. When I feel the assault of the devil seeking to instill fear/anger within me because of what I see in today’s world, I run to the arms of Jesus. I do this by: 1. Immersing My Mind on Passages About Jesus’ Appearing I feel the Lord’s comfort when I immerse my mind in biblical texts that speak to His imminent appearing and the glory that will be ours in eternity. Although I have read passages 1 Corinthians 15:47-58, 1 John 3:1-3, Philippians 3:20-21, Colossians 3:1-4, and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 perhaps hundreds of times, reading them afresh still encourages my heart. Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, inspired the words of such passages to relieve our fears and encourage our hearts (1 Thessalonians 4:13; 5:11). Please don’t discount the calm that comes from immersing yourself in passages of Scripture that speak to the joy and glory that’s headed your way in eternity. 2. Regarding Today as Biblical Times I first heard the words, “We live in biblical times,” while listening to a Dr. David Reagan interview. Remembering this truth always brings me back from the brink of unnecessary fear. The Bible said the world would be like this in the last days. This truth reminds me that God remains sovereignly in control of history and along with that, shouts to me that Jesus’ appearing to take me home is ever so near. The message of Bible prophecy assures us that the One who so accurately revealed the future to prophets long ago (Isaiah 46:8-13) is more than able to keep His promises to us today. 3. Recognizing the Certainty of God’s Judgment When the darkness of today threatens to overwhelm my soul, I often retreat to the words of Psalms 37 and 94. There’s something about seeing the certainty of the Lord’s future judgment on widespread evil, such as we now witness, that enables me to deal with what I see. Yes, the villains of our day appear free to perpetuate murder, lawlessness, deceit, and violence with no one holding them accountable. Most will never see the inside of a jail cell regardless of what they do. However, the Lord will bring them to justice, and it will be far worse than a prison sentence. 4. Casting All My Cares Upon the Lord During the past year, I have read 1 Peter 5:1-11 more times than I can remember. I have found that casting all my “anxieties” or “cares” on the One who cares for me brings sweet relief to my soul. Whether it be the angst I feel from current events, nagging concerns, or that of dealing with those who fervently oppose my ministry, the visualization of casting all these things onto the hands of the Lord always calms my heart (vv. 6-7). If you trust Jesus as your Savior, please recognize that He alone is your place of refuge. When the threats and concerns of this world overwhelm you, run to His loving arms and shove all your troubles onto the hands of the One who dearly loves you. His “name” remains the “strong tower” of refuge in a world gone mad If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus alone for eternal life, please, please read my post, Jesus Is the Only Path to Eternal Life. In it, I explain how you can know that Jesus has forgiven all your sins and that you possess eternal life and with the sure hope of receiving an immortal and incorruptible body at Jesus’ appearing (1 Corinthians 15:48-54). Please don’t delay; call upon Jesus while you may! Tomorrow may be too late to avoid the death and destruction that is surely coming to our world. Daily Jot: Biden celebrating abortion - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Throughout the off-year state elections in Virginia, the Democratic Party saw that abortion was the big-ticket winner. The democrats pounded the airwaves characterizing their opponents as Trump anti-abortion extremists. Now Joe Biden is taking his political preborn killing strategy nationwide. Katie Cox, the woman who sued Texas so she could abort her baby has been invited to Biden’s State of the Union as an honored guest. Cox will be sitting next to First Lady Jill. Cox lost her case at the Texas Supreme Court, but she had already traveled out of state for an abortion. This is portrayed by the pro-death crowd as a horrible, extremist violation of her rights. But there’s a lot more to the story. In July 2023, 15 women sued Texas saying that the state’s abortion law didn’t provide exceptions for if the mother’s life was in jeopardy. The case went to the Texas Supreme Court and lost because the women couldn’t prove that their lives were in danger. Cox and another Biden supporter OB-GYN Dr. Austin Dennard had out-of-state abortions. They both had very similar situations and both are lending their stories to the Biden campaign to position Republicans and Trump as right-wing extremists. Dennard has done a campaign ad chuck full of problematic claims upon which the Biden folks are building their entire campaign in an effort to brainwash people that killing their preborn kids is righteous. In the commercial, Dr. Dennard, the married mother of three living children, says, “I never thought that I would need an abortion for a planned pregnancy, But I did. Two years ago, I became pregnant with a baby I desperately wanted. At a routine ultrasound, I learned that the fetus would have a fatal condition, and that there was absolutely no chance of survival. In Texas, you are forced to carry that pregnancy, and that is because of Donald Trump overturning Roe v. Wade. The choice was completely taken away. I was to continue my pregnancy, putting my life at risk. It’s every woman’s worst nightmare, and it was absolutely unbearable.” Obviously, Trump did not overturn Roe v Wade, the US Supreme Court did. The fatal condition of the fetus she speaks of, anencephaly, poses no risk to the mother’s life. Dennard testified that she had a previous abortion because the fetus was diagnosed with Noonan Syndrome, a disability, but also not life-threatening to the mother. This demonstrates a pattern that Dennard did not want to have a child with a disability, not that her life was endangered. She said, “I recognized that day in that moment that I was not critically ill. I was not hemorrhaging. I was not septic.” Dennard chose to kill her preborn children because she didn’t find them acceptable. Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward.” This is not about Trump or the Supreme Court in either Cox’s or Dennard’s cases. But it is about extremism—the radical fanaticism of celebrating abortion as a “right” to destroy the heritage from the Lord. Daily Devotion: God’s Greatest Creation - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. —Psalm 139:16 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/gods-greatest-creation/ - Listen Without question, people are God’s greatest creation. We are His crowning achievement. In fact, the psalmist David wrote about the intricacies of the human body that God created. He said, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it” (Psalm 139:13–14 NLT). David continued, “You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed” (verses 15–16 NLT). As we look at Scripture, it appears that God has a plan for each of us, even before we were conceived. The prophet Jeremiah wrote, “The Lord gave me this message: ‘I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations’ ” (Jeremiah 1:4–5 NLT). These verses, among others, certainly lay to rest any warped concept that the Bible would somehow allow for abortion. This masterpiece of God’s creation, the human being, is incredible. Scientists estimate that adult human bodies contain 16 trillion cells, all carefully organized to perform life’s various functions in harmony. Consider these statistics about the human body and the amazing things it is capable of: The nose can recognize 10,000 different aromas. The tongue has about 6,000 taste buds. And the brain contains 10 billion nerve cells. Each nerve cell connects to as many as 10,000 other nerve cells throughout the body. In fact, the body has so many blood vessels that the combined length could circle the planet two and a half times. God has custom-designed each of us with our own DNA blueprint, which every cell contains. And if you were to write out your individual blueprint in a book, it would require an estimated 200,000 pages. God, of course, knows about every word on every page. We have the astounding capacity to store millions of bits of information, keep it in order, and recall it when necessary. We are “wonderfully complex,” as Psalm 139 tells us. And God’s plan for those who put their faith in Christ is even more amazing. We don’t have to be afraid because His motive is always love for us. Ephesians 2:6–7 tells us, “He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus” (NLT). God wants to spend all of eternity revealing to us His kindness, goodness, and grace. He wants to spend eternity showing us how much He loves us.
