Underground Bunkers — A Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy? – By Jonathan Brentner - https://harbingersdaily.com/underground-bunkers-a-fulfillment-of-bible-prophecy/ A few years ago, I read a mystery novel about people building elaborate and expensive underground bunkers in former missile silos to protect themselves from nuclear war and other forms of devastation. His story caused me to wonder if he had observed this before creating a fictional account about it. In 2024, fiction has become reality. For months, social media has been abuzz with reports of Mark Zuckerberg, billionaire founder of Facebook, building a massive underground shelter in Hawaii. A Time online story recently picked up the story: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, co-founder and co-CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, plan to build a 5,000-square-foot underground shelter on their Hawaii ranch with its own energy and food supplies, according to a Wired investigation published earlier this month. The plan is that the shelter’s door will be made of metal and filled in with concrete—common in bunkers and bomb shelters, the news outlet reported in its extensive article citing planning documents and interviews. Other accounts suggest that he is just one of many billionaires building underground bunkers for protection against doomsday scenarios. We know that governments have protective bunkers for their elite, but now such things have become commonplace among the rich and famous. The Building of Bunkers Fulfills Biblical Prophecy Did you know that the Bible long ago prophesied that this would happen in the last days? Who would have thought that Mr. Zuckerberg’s behavior fulfills biblical prophecy? But it does. The Lord told the prophet Isaiah that during the last days, people would hide in holes in the ground to escape the terrors of the Day of the Lord: Isaiah 2:17-19 KJV – “And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. And the idols he shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.” (emphasis added) Skipping forward to Revelation 6:15-17, we read that John witnessed and recorded the future fulfillment of these words from Isaiah 2: Revelation 6:15-17 KJV – “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (emphasis added) In the future, it won’t be just the rich and powerful seeking refuge amid the terrors of the Day of the Lord wrath, but a wide variety of people during the Tribulation period will seek to hide from His judgments. What Does This Tell Us About the Time in Which We Live? The vast majority, if not all, of those seeking underground protection from doomsday scenarios don’t believe the Bible. Most regard our warnings of God’s future judgment on the earth as foolishness. Does it not seem strangely ironic that their behavior points to the soon fulfillment of Revelation chapter 6, which they consider to be foolishness? They recognize that devastating wars, economic turmoil, and deadly natural disasters lie on the horizon, but they remain blind to how these things point to the Lord’s soon intervention in the world. However, by the time the sixth seal comes upon them, they will recognize the terrors overspreading the planet as resulting “from the wrath of the Lamb” (Revelation 6:17). If the elite recognize the nearness of the Day of the Lord perils such as we see in Revelation 6 (despite not identifying them as such), does this not tell us that such things are near? These billionaires look at what lies ahead with unbelieving eyes and ignorance of Bible prophecy; yet, by their behavior tell us that we live in the last days when these things are about to take place. Should this not be a wake-up call to pastors who claim to know and believe what God’s Word says but persist in pushing the Lord’s intervention in our world to a far distant end of the age event? I also find it curious that Mark Zuckerberg and his fellow billionaires are acting in ways that seem likely to frighten others as they seek to escape rather than use their money to divert the catastrophes they see coming. When we tell people about what the Bible says is coming to our world, they say we are trying to scare people. Even fellow believers accuse us of being escapists who don’t care about people or life today. Don’t believe the mockers of our day. It’s Bible prophecy that provides the most genuine comfort amid the perils of our day. Furthermore, I have observed that the ones looking for Jesus’ imminent appearing are among those most likely to give sacrificially to alleviate the suffering of our world. I’m not saying we should not take precautions in a world fraught with danger and perhaps maintain a backup supply of food and water. However, our hope for the future rests in Jesus alone. We don’t know when He will appear to take us to Heaven or the timing of the destruction that’s coming upon the world, but based upon what the Bible tells us, we know these things:

A powerful scripture that makes this so is the Command Given by the Lord Himself. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28). Jesus, when using the phrase all these things, was referencing the prophetic signals that would immediately precede His breaking in on this incorrigible world of rebels against God. The signs would be, he forewarned, prolific and ubiquitous. That is, these prophesied things will be tremendous in terms of their happening and swiftness in coming to pass. These will be in every direction one looks. It will be a time of a prophetic horizon filled with unmistakable indicators that the believers alive at the time cannot miss. This generation of the Redeemed is to be looking up for His coming to bring Fulfillment of their Promised Redemption. I.e., the Rapture will, the Lord Promises, be on the very cusp of happening when all the indicators will be flashing brightly into the spiritual eyes of those who are in God’s Family. One of the most profound prophecies given in God’s Word concerning the very last days before Christ’s physical Return to Planet Earth involves that of the world’s final dictator, the one John called Antichrist. There have been volumes written on this foretold tyrant that will, for a short time, rule much of the world. We are told in Revelation chapter 13 that he will cause all to receive a mark and number in order to survive. This has, at its core, the infamous 666 numbering system. It will no doubt be the outgrowth –the greatly developed technology—involving digital currency and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). That technology is, at this point, a worldwide reality because of satellites connecting all continents with instantaneous transacting capability. So, the Antichrist’s technologies are on the scene now, as is the entirety of the societal, cultural, geopolitical, and religious stage-setting for the coming Tribulation era. There are differing views regarding from what area of the ancient Roman Empire will come the one who will be Antichrist. My own view –which I believe has been for many decades the view of solid Bible prophecy scholars such as Dr. John Walvoord, Dr. Dwight Pentecost, Dr. Henry Morris, Dr. Tim LaHaye, and many others, is that this final world dictator will come out of Western Europe. –Thus, because he will, according to Daniel the prophet, be the prince that shall come out of the Roman force that destroyed Jerusalem and the Jewish Temple in A.D. 70. Here again is the prophecy that helps draw this conclusion. “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Daniel 9:26-27). Antichrist, that prince that shall come, we are convicted, will not be from the eastern leg of the old Roman Empire, that is, not from out of Constantinople, the eastern capital, but from Rome, the capital of the western leg of that monstrous dream vision Daniel interpreted for King Nebuchadnezzar, as recorded in Daniel chapter 2. It is from out of Rome that General Titus, sent by his father, Roman Emperor Vespasian, led the Roman legions in destroying Jerusalem and the Temple. In consideration of this and taking into account that all other signals now are in place, setting the stage for that man of sin’s coming to power, we must take a serious look at a recent matter that is in the process of developing. We must examine whether Antichrist’s western European stronghold –his inevitable geographic base location, can now be determined. The following news brief is interesting in that regard. Horizon Europe is the European Commission’s plan to implement “adapting our way of life” for climate change; funding digital, genome collections and cybersecurity projects under the guise of tackling cancer; a digital twin of the oceans; smart cities for which two UK cities have been selected; and, a “soil deal for Europe” which is another means of achieving the European Green Deal and UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is the advance of technocracy. The UN Sustainable Development Goals is technocracy. (“UKSTF”). Launched in March 2023, the UKSTF is the UK government’s plan to cement the UK’s place as a science and technology superpower by 2030…. Where is all of this leading to? Technocracy… Governments are increasingly exerting control over citizens, eroding rights and freedoms. Centralization of power is on the rise, which is undermining the role of local governments. Across the world, regimes, such as the European Union, are constructing a worldwide enslavement grid that has not been possible before as the technology was not available. Several different technologies are being implemented over time and in different places. It’s easy to lose sight that it is all connected… Throughout history, dictators and tyrants have been constrained by various factors, such as logistical difficulties, fear of resistance, or the intervention of other nations. The bar owner wrote on social media, “We are pleased to announce we are banning all Zionists forever from our establishments. Zionism is hate speech, it is white supremacy and has nothing to do with the beautiful Jewish faith.” Really? So, he hates Zionists but finds the Jewish faith “beautiful.” He thinks Zionism is “unrelated” to Judaism. I have no idea what his motivations are, but his statements have become a common theme among those who want to be anti-Jewish without seeming to be anti-Semitic. Zion is part and parcel, not only of the Jewish faith, but of the Jewish soul. Psalm 137 expresses the intense feelings of the Jewish captives taken from their homes by Babylonians. Verses 1 and 3 (NASB) say, “By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down and wept, When we remembered Zion…. Our captors demanded of us songs, And our tormentors mirth, saying, ‘Sing us one of the songs of Zion.’” Even the Babylonians knew that the word Zion represented something deep and precious to the Jews. The captives equated singing about Zion to singing “the Lord’s song.” In verse 4 they ask, “How can we sing the Lord’s song in a foreign land?” This was about God. Verses 5 and 6 say, “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, May my right hand forget her skill. May my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth, If I do not remember you, If I do not exalt Jerusalem Above my chief joy.” In Jeremiah 25:11-12, God said that Babylon would fall only seventy years later. All those who oppress Israel are eventually brought low. Someday, it will happen on a global stage for a fully redeemed Israel. Isaiah 60:14 promises to Israel, “And the sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you, And all those who despised you will bow themselves at the soles of your feet; And they will call you the city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.” The world’s hatred for Jews, Zion, God, and His Messiah are linked together in Psalm 2:1-6. “Why are the nations in an uproar, And the peoples devising a vain thing? But who is China preparing to fight a war with? Needless to say, the answer to that question is obvious. Yes, the border dispute between India and China could erupt into something significant, but that is not likely. The only other opponent that the Chinese would be fighting a major war with would be the United States. And right now, Chinese shipyards are churning out military vessels at a pace that the U.S. simply cannot match… The US cannot match the pace of building in the shipyards of Shanghai, which have already turned out two new aircraft carriers with a third expected to begin sea trials soon. The latest vessel, the Fujian, features catapults to launch heavy, fixed-wing aircraft with immense bomb payloads. These shipyards are also building a new type of amphibious assault vessel, and many roll-on, roll-off ferries, which could have a dual purpose – transporting cars in peacetime, and armoured assault vehicles in the event of an attack on a neighbour, such as Taiwan. Of even greater concern is the vast network of tunnels that the Chinese have been constructing. We are being told that this network of tunnels makes the Hamas tunnels under Gaza “look like holes scooped by children in a sandpit”… While the West has been scaling back its military spending in favour of welfare and healthcare, China has been building artificial islands as naval bases and airfields. Less obvious but more ominous, it has also been digging a vast network of tunnels and bunkers that make the Hamas warrens in Gaza look like holes scooped by children in a sandpit. The Chinese tunnels stretch for hundreds of miles and their plans are so closely guarded that Western intelligence agencies have little idea what is down there. Domestic spies in the pay of the West, who have attempted to smuggle out information, have been caught and executed. Nobody knows why China has been putting so much effort into these tunnels. Are they anticipating that vast numbers of Chinese will need to shelter underground during an apocalyptic conflict with the United States? In recent years, the Chinese have been feverishly upgrading and expanding their strategic nuclear arsenal… Most alarming of all is the build-up of nuclear missiles. Throughout the Cold War, though China has been a nuclear power from the mid-1960s, its atomic arsenal was limited. By the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the People’s Liberation Army had only 30 or 40 long-range nuclear missiles – because that, it believed, was more than enough. As President Deng Xiaoping chillingly taunted American journalists: ‘How many Los Angeles can you afford to lose?’ That policy has changed. More than 100 nuclear missiles with multiple warheads have already been built and armed, with production expected to exceed 500 by the end of this decade, if not sooner. The moment the Chinese invade Taiwan, they know that it will mean war with the United States. If that war is limited to conventional weaponry, the Chinese will win a war in Taiwan, and every war game that our leaders have conducted in recent years has shown this. The U.S. could try to threaten China with nukes, but if China now possesses enough missiles to wipe out dozens of U.S. cities our leaders may not want to risk a nuclear confrontation. The Chinese know that most battles are won before they are ever fought. So they are trying to position themselves for a positive outcome before the very first missile is fired at Taiwan. Interestingly, as talk of war with China has heated up, the number of Chinese migrants coming over our southern border has spiked exponentially. In fact, CBS News is reporting that the number of Chinese migrants encountered at the border is now 50 times higher than it was two years ago… Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 37,000 Chinese citizens were apprehended crossing illegally from Mexico into the U.S.…that’s 50 times more than two years earlier. In many cases, groups of military-age Chinese men all decked out in similar equipment are being encountered. Of course they have been trained to say all the right things, and so the Biden administration is letting them in. Meanwhile, western nations continue to prepare for an all-out war with Russia… Several European countries have raised concerns that Russia’s war against Ukraine could eventually lead to a greater conflict between Moscow and NATO. The military alliance has taken several steps to bolster its defense systems along its eastern border in recent months, including by conducting trainings in the spring for over 90,000 troops from all 32 of the member states in countries that share a border with Russia, such as the Baltic nations and Poland. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have been some of the loudest members of NATO that have urged the Western bloc to prepare for Russia’s next offensive in the region. Estonia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, for example, has said that Russia is preparing for war against NATO countries within the next 10 years. All of those NATO troops are not going to do much good if a conflict with Russia goes nuclear. As Bloomberg has reported, Russia has 10 times more tactical nukes than the U.S. does. Sadly, the Russians also have the advantage when it comes to strategic nukes. As I detail in my latest book, the Sarmat is the most sophisticated intercontinental ballistic missile on the entire planet. Meanwhile, hopelessly outdated Minuteman missiles that originally went into service in the 1970s continue to form the backbone of the U.S. arsenal. The Russians also have the most advanced anti-missile systems in the world by a very wide margin, and we don’t have any anti-missile systems that can handle what the Russians can throw at us. Considering how the balance of power has changed, perhaps we should have tried to find a peaceful resolution to the mess in Ukraine. But now that window appears to have closed for good… A top ally of Vladimir Putin has claimed the relationship between the US and Russia is worse than during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, as the Kremlin accused the West of ‘direct involvement’ in the war in Ukraine. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made the comments in a public speech, and added that the Kremlin has ruled out peace talks with Ukraine, as its invasion of the nation entered its third year. Medvedev said Russia would prosecute what it calls its ‘special military operation’ until the other side capitulated. He said that what he called historical parts of Russia should ‘return home.’ Medvedev was speaking in front of a map of Ukraine which showed the country as a much smaller landlocked rump of territory squeezed up against Poland with Russia in complete control of its east, south and Black Sea coastline. We really are living at a time of wars and rumors of wars. On top of everything else that I have discussed, the war in the Middle East could dramatically escalate at any moment, and North Korea’s military has been put in a state of “heightened readiness for war”… North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inspected field training of troops at a major military operations base in the western region of the country on Wednesday and ordered heightened readiness for war, the state Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Thursday. The tour of the base, the location of which was not identified, came after the start of annual combined military drills by US and South Korean forces on Monday in the South. Twice the number of troops took part compared to last year. I am entirely convinced that 2024 will be a year of war. Of course, countless others see things the exact same way. The hot phase of World War III is rapidly approaching, and right now there is a great deal of talk about how to get prepared for such a scenario… Your phone is out of action, the electricity has cut out and there’s no way to reach food. What’s your game plan? These are questions people have been urged to explore as the risk of ‘World War Three’ seemingly grows. With the Doomsday Clock – a scientific invention which measures how close the Earth is to disaster – remaining at 90 seconds to midnight, Admiral Rob Bauer, who chairs NATO’s Military Committee, has warned people to make basic preparations for a potential ‘full-blown war’. ‘You need to have water, you need to have a radio on batteries and you need to have a flashlight on batteries to make sure that you can survive the first 36 hours’, he said. ‘It starts there, the realisation that not everything is plannable.’ Unfortunately, if you are only preparing to survive for 36 hours you are not going to last very long at all once the missiles start flying. At this moment, most people living in the western world have no idea how much the hot phase of World War III will change all of our lives. If they really understood what was coming, they would be loudly demanding peace. Sadly, it will be way too late when most of the population finally awakens from their slumber. Daily Jot: The lingering election thief - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Democrats are once again gearing up for ineligible voters to sway the election in their favor. Attorney General Merrick Garland spoke at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama March 3 and talked about how the right to vote is still under attack. He said, “It was under attack in the wake of the Civil War and amidst Reconstruction, when white supremacists used violence and threats of violence to stop Black Americans from exercising their right to vote…. the right to vote was still under attack nearly a century later, when Black residents trying to register to vote in this county, and in jurisdictions across the country, were required to take nearly impossible tests that were designed to ensure that they fail.” Garland fails to mention that those “white supremacists” that were stopping Black Americans from voting were, most exclusively, Democratic Party members who purposely targeted Blacks with violence and Jim Crow laws. Somehow, the Democrats have turned the tables and accuse Republicans of suppressing the vote. This gives them the excuse to block purging the voter rolls of dead people and requiring voter identification in the name of voter rights. This has led to anyone voting early and often through unverified mail-in ballots to lax voter identification in Democratic Party-controlled precincts across the country. It’s not about ensuring Black voter rights. It’s about ensuring Democratic Party victories. Garland said, “That is why we are challenging efforts by states and jurisdictions to implement discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary restrictions on access to the ballot, including those related to mail-in voting, the use of drop boxes, and voter ID requirements.” These are all the components of election fraud. It is how Democrat-controlled states can sway an election. It’s been going on for decades. Let us recall in 2008 when Obama was elected. In many places there were 123% more people voting than were eligible to vote. A Federal judge in Ohio ruled that counties must allow homeless people to use park benches as their residencies in order to vote. Fast forward to the 2020 election. In September 2022, former Prince William County, Va., elections registrar Michele White was indicted on felony charges of corruption. Sources report that White is accused of altering the election results and contributing to Biden’s 54% to 44% victory where Trump was predicted to win. Other cases in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin and more have been litigated. The Heritage Foundation election fraud database documents 1,474 proven instances of voter fraud with 1,271 criminal convictions. When the well-intended question election integrity, the political powers and leftist news media mock them as election deniers. Micah 6:11 questions, “Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?” Herein the pure intentions for reform are counted on the wicked balances by those who deceive. Garland is trying to convince Americans that the very things leading to election fraud are what prevents election fraud. The thief lingers. We’re going to sin. But when He died on the cross of Calvary, Jesus took upon Himself the condemnation and the judgment that we should have faced. Romans 8:1 tells us, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (NLT). A Spirit-led believer lives a condemnation-free life. We see a classic example of how this works in John 8 when the religious leaders brought a woman caught in the act of adultery to Jesus. Obviously, a man was involved, but he was gone, and the religious leaders had set up a trap. They said, “This woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” (verses 4–5 NLT). But Jesus knew exactly what they were doing. And instead of answering right away, He stooped down and wrote in the dirt. Now, we don’t know what Jesus wrote, but whatever it was, it had a profound effect. Then He stood up and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” (verse 7 NLT). The Bible tells us that one by one, they all left, from the oldest to the youngest. So Jesus said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” (verse 10 NLT). She replied, “No, Lord.” Then Jesus told her, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more” (verse 11 NLT). This woman knew she was going to die that day. But instead, everything changed when she looked into the eyes of Jesus and looked at the others who had condemned her. And she believed on the spot. That’s how long it takes to believe in Jesus. When we come to believe in Christ, we don’t understand everything about Him. We don’t understand all the intricacies of the theology of conversion, justification, sanctification, adoption, and so forth. But we know that we need Jesus, and we put our faith in Him. Then He says, “Go and sin no more.” God always sees us for what we can become. Think of Simon Peter. When he was still known as Simon, Jesus gave him a new name, Peter, which means “rock.” Now, if there was anything that Simon was not, it was a rock. He was hotheaded, vacillating, and argumentative. Yet Jesus was saying, “From now on, you’re a rock.” Maybe the other disciples were laughing at this, thinking, “Rock? Does Jesus actually know Simon?” Yes, He did. But Jesus wasn’t calling Simon what he was; He was explaining what he would become. Where we see failure, God sees potential. We see a Simon. God sees a Peter. We see the past. God sees the future. We see a mess. God sees a message. God sees us for who we are in Christ, not what we were in sin. God does not see us in our sin; He sees us in His Son. God can change everything in your story—if you’ll let Him.
