Many refer to themselves as African-Americans or Mexican-Americans, etc. But there is one place and people where the practice cannot be engaged in. That would be Israel. Exodus 32:13 KJV – “Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.” Israel is a people who descended from Abraham and Isaac and that have been given a land as an everlasting inheritance. That means it is a misnomer to call anyone an Israeli-Arab. Arabs descended from Abraham through Ishmael, and Israel descended from Abraham through Isaac. Though related, they are distinct people groups. Today we refer to the Israelites as the Jews, a practice that began at the time of the Babylonian captivity. This marks the beginning of the time of the Gentiles, because the vast majority of the captives were from the tribe of Judah. While it is true that Israel separated into two kingdoms for a time, what God has done cannot be put asunder. The point of all this is that when you talk about the Jews today, you are talking about a people and a land. When you talk about Israel today, you are referring to the Jews and their land. Ezekiel 36:22-24 KJV – “Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.” The whole of the last days prophetic scenario centers on the Jews and Israel – both the people and the land God has given to them. This tells us that when we see antisemitism growing against the Jewish people and global calls for dividing the land God gave them, we know we are watching prophecy being fulfilled. There are a myriad of other prophetic elements in our world that are more global in scope; things like digital currency, AI, wars and rumors of war and so on. But the reality is they are all leading up to one thing: Zechariah 12:3 KJV – “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zechariah 12:10 KJV – “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.” Zechariah 14:3-4 KJV – “Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” There is a progression here that was once not possible. The Jews had been outside their homeland. There was no Jerusalem to be gathered against by the world. Now, however, there is. The people and place known as Israel is alive and well. That means the prophetic wheels have been moving toward the outpouring of God’s Spirit on His people, and the Lord has been fighting as He fights in the day of battle for over 75 years now. This took a giant leap forward on October 7, 2023, when antisemitism lifted its ugly head in a way unseen since the Holocaust. All of this tells us that it is more likely now than ever before that the fulfillment of the destruction of Damascus and the Ezekiel War and the 70th week of Daniel and the words above from Zechariah are on the near horizon. And that means something else is also very near: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV – “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” We are watching events develop that will be fulfilled during the Tribulation. This can only mean that the unknown day and hour of the Rapture of the church is more likely now than ever before. The Evil One, being the cunning mastermind of malice, gathered his senior advisors together for a meeting, and posed to them a tactical question that echoed through Hell’s infernal chambers. “By what means might we bring about maximum despair, chaos, and destruction among Earth’s inhabitants,” Satan asked. In response, one of Satan’s most shadowy advisors suggested: “O great Lord of darkness and desolation, let us tell them that there is no heaven?” But the devil quickly dismissed that suggestion as antiquated, and no longer potent enough to deliver the best results. “People nowadays largely believe in heaven. It brings them solace and comfort, particularly in times of grief, loss, or adversity. The idea of reuniting with loved ones or experiencing eternal peace offers them hope and a sense of reassurance,” responded the devil. “Furthermore, it alleviates their fear of death and is interwoven with the universe’s requirement for justice and right living. The need for believing in heaven is at the core of humanity’s being. They need to know that they are more than flesh and blood. You fool! Can’t you see most of them would never embrace such an inconvenient lie?” Then, a second demonic advisor sheepishly spoke up and said, “O great Lord of sinister intent and havoc, let us tell them that there is no hell.” But neither did this ignite Satan’s interest. With a tone of ambivalence, the devil replied, “You know, most people never give a thought to the prospect of going to Hell at the end of their lives. If even for a short while, we should cause them to seriously think about the possibility of spending eternity in hell, it will more likely do damage to our efforts than benefit. You imp of ignorance! Don’t you understand that we don’t want them to earnestly think about it? Let the masses march thoughtlessly to the pit as they already do.” Finally, a third demon stepped forward with a proposition dripping with deception. “O Master of Maleficence and Malignancy, let us work to convince them that time is not of the essence — that there is no urgency about where one will spend eternity. Let us say to them that there is no need to hasten — no rush about life’s most important questions.” At this, Satan’s fiery eyes gleamed with diabolical delight. “Yes, yes, yes!!!” he cried. “It is a brilliant strategy! Perhaps the greatest and most effective I’ve heard. Every day we shall lull them into complacency, whispering to them that they have plenty of time to decide and act on life’s most crucial matters. Take your time, we will tell them. There’s no hurry.” Indeed, it is a stroke of genius — probably the most masterful maneuver ever employed by the Father of Lies and the best of his stygian strategists. However, there is an urgency in life’s most vital affairs. In Luke chapter 9 verses 57 through 62, Jesus gave a seemingly harsh response to two individuals who said that they wanted to follow him. One said he wanted to delay his decision to follow the Lord until after his father’s passing. The other said he merely wished to bid his family farewell first. Yet, the Scriptures say Jesus rebuked both men because they failed to realize that in matters of truest significance, procrastination can have extremely dire consequences. In Revelation chapter 22 and verses 6 and 7, Jesus warns not to be beguiled by the illusion of plenty of time. We should embrace the urgency of now, every moment counts, and delaying a pivotal decision as imperative as preparing for Christ’s return can lead to ultimate regret and loss. This is what the Book of Revelation says: Then the angel said to me, “Everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires his prophets, has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon. “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book” (Revelation 22:6-7). A holy angel told the apostle John that the vision he had about end-time events was “trustworthy and true” — a phrase that appears four times in the book of Revelation (3:14; 19:11; 21:5; 22:6). The angel said the vision John was given had the same authority as the prophetic messages God had given the prophets of the Old Testament. In other words, this entire revelation of the last days can be completely relied upon. In the Old Testament, the prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah foretold that prideful and godless Babylon, that ancient city renowned for its advanced architecture, magnificent ziggurats, and hanging gardens, one of the seven wonders of the world and ruled by powerful despots like King Nebuchadnezzar, would surely fall. Who in their right mind would ever believe such an impregnable place with the world’s strongest military could be defeated as the seers predicted? Nonetheless, it happened just as they foretold when the Persian Empire led by Cyrus the Great, ingeniously redirected the flow of the Euphrates River, enabling the Persian army to breach the city walls. The prophecies came true in remarkable detail approximately two centuries after Isaiah made his predictions and a century after Jeremiah made his. Tyre was a prominent ancient Phoenician city known for its incredible maritime trade, purple dye production, and formidable fortifications. It consisted of two parts: the mainland city and an island fortress. Because of its wickedness, Ezekiel prophesied Tyre’s downfall. He said it would be plundered and its stones would be cast into the sea. This is exactly what happened when Alexander the Great besieged Tyre for seven months and employed an extraordinary engineering feat. He constructed a causeway or land bridge using rubble, stones, and timber gathered from the ruined mainland city of Tyre, which he had previously destroyed. This causeway connected the mainland to the island fortress, enabling his army to assault the city walls directly and ultimately overcome Tyre. It happened just as Ezekiel said it would happen, approximately 260 years beforehand. Still, these are only two examples and there isn’t enough space to take up the hundreds more. Probably the most impressive example of the truth of prophetic messages given in the Bible are the ones predicting Christ’s first coming. In their tremendous book, What if the Bible Had Never Been Written, the late Dr. D. James Kennedy and Jerry Newcombe share a compelling narrative about Lee Strobel’s journey into understanding Bible prophecy and its predictions concerning Jesus’ first appearance. Strobel, equipped with a law degree from Yale University, as well as his experience as an award-winning legal affairs journalist for the Chicago Tribune, was initially a skeptic of Christianity’s claims. So, he decided to use his amazing investigative talents to try and disprove Christianity. Instead, his research led him to embrace the faith. Strobel’s intrigue was piqued by the work of mathematician, Peter Stoner, who conceived that the probability of any individual fulfilling just eight of the Old Testament prophecies regarding the Messiah was astronomical, estimated at 10 to the 17th power. Strobel vividly illustrated this staggering likelihood of finding a single red-tiled square among a vast expanse of white tiles covering the entire planet, with the odds analogous to randomly selecting the one red-tiled square during a lifetime of exploration across all continents. Yet, the magnitude of fulfillment didn’t simply stop there. Stoner further demonstrated the probability of fulfilling only 48 Old Testament prophecies escalated to an incomprehensible 10 to the 157th power, which is much like discovering a predetermined atom within trillions of universes, each as vast as our own. Within the Scriptures, there are over two thousand prophecies, with 333 specifically about the arrival of the Messiah. Astonishingly, the life of Jesus aligns impeccably with every last one of them. So, when the angel said the prophetic vision God gave to John was as credible as those provided by the Old Testament prophets, we can be certain it is absolutely, “trustworthy and true.” Everything promised and everything foretold in Revelation, will without question and the slightest deviation, come to pass. In his seminal work Bible Prophecy, Oliver B. Greene, revered founder of “The Gospel Hour” radio broadcast, eloquently articulates that the prophetic pronouncements within the Bible intricately weave through the pivotal moments of human history, transcending time to illuminate past, present, and future events with profound clarity and divine insight. The following quote by Greene is lengthy, but well worth the read: “The men who penned our Bible recognized God as reigning on the throne of his eternal glory, ruling over the universe and overruling in accordance with his perfect and unerring will, which cannot be broken. The prophets of God proclaim his sovereignty. They declare that his counsels will stand and that he will bring to pass that which he has spoken and all that he has purposed. “The prophets also warn that suffering and shame will come upon individuals and nations who sin against God. They declare that God will ultimately triumph and, through the Lord Jesus Christ, Messiah and King, he will reign in righteousness over all creation throughout eternity. Events which have occurred (and are occurring all around us today) prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Word of God can be trusted, believed, and lived by. Events past and present prove that the prophetic declarations of all Scripture – both Old and New Testaments – are positively and unalterably true… “The Bible is not only up-to-date; it is far-ahead-of-date. It has enabled man to know things that will come to pass long before they have actually occurred. There is not a single movement of world importance — yesterday, today, or tomorrow — which is not foretold in the Word of God through God’s prophets, the apostles, and in the words of the Son of God himself. They declared that Jesus would be despised and rejected. They foretold that Israel as a nation would be hated and that the Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Jews, would be hated and crucified by his own brethren. “Scientific knowledge being demonstrated today is prophesied in the Word of God — including solemn warnings against the dangers of these perilous (yet marvelous) times in which we live. The Old Testament prophets spoke concerning the present worldwide unrest among men and antagonism toward God. They prophesied concerning the spiritual declensions in these terrible days and the increasing apostasy that is all around us, even within the organized visible church. “The prophets declared that evil days would grow worse and worse as we come nearer the end of the Church Age. They foretold the decline of democracy and the rise of dictatorships, with people becoming merchandise of men. Even Jesus himself prophesied of wars and rumors of wars, distress of nations and perplexities and fears, men’s hearts failing them for fear. “Things transpiring all around us today declare that the Bible is verbally inspired, God-breathed, and therefore worthy of our acceptance and trust… “Rest assured…this world is not as a helpless iceberg, drifting in a mighty ocean, changing its course as the current and the winds change. It is more like a great ship with a chart, a rudder, a compass, and a captain on the bridge, following a determined course by his providence — not as the winds blow, but as He determined before the foundation of the world... “It is true that man is allowed to rule for a season independently of God – but his rule is characterized by unrest, turmoil, strife, hatred, wars, commotion, confusion, and chaos. In spite of all that man does or attempts to do, God overrules in his sovereign might. He will bring order out of chaos. He will establish his kingdom of peace on earth and goodwill toward men. There is a day coming when every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God (Philippians 2:11). “Yes, the hand of our sovereign God is in history. He determines the ultimate outcome of all things, and for that very reason prophecy is history written in advance.” Are there prophets like those of Bible times, who by God’s Spirit, can predict the future today? Some contemporary theologians would argue that the gift of prophecy continues in the present dispensation, albeit perhaps in different forms. They say some individuals can still receive divine revelations or insights about the future through the spiritual gift of prophecy or prayer and meditation. Nevertheless, the Bible itself seems to indicate certain spiritual gifts, including prophecy, would cease or be done away with when “completeness” or perfection arrived (I Corinthian 13:8-10). A temporary gift like prophecy was provided to disseminate revelation and divine information before that which is perfect was completed. Therefore, with the completion of the canon of Scripture in A.D. 95, prophecy was no longer needed. As Harold Wilmington explains in Wilmington’s Guide to the Bible: “The written Word of God by itself can and does provide every conceivable need for the man of God in the work of God.” All matters pertaining to any life situation need only be measured by the Scriptures, and not some person like Jim Jones, founder of the People’s Temple, or David Koresh, leader of the Branch Davidians, or Marshall Applewhite, co-founder of Heaven’s Gate, all of which claimed to be prophets and declared they had received divine revelations but led their followers to drastic outcomes. The Bible’s teachings are “trustworthy and true” and more than enough to sufficiently guide us. The claims of men, no matter how convincingly argued they originate from a celestial source, should be treated with suspicion. The Scriptures alone are completely sufficient and perfectly reliable. Lastly, the person who speaks after the angel, is the Lord Jesus himself, saying: “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book” (v. 7). Here the Lord Jesus Christ makes the case for urgency! To put these words in the vernacular, Jesus says, “Wake up and get ready! Act now! Your time is running out faster than you realize! Tick Tock! Get a move on! You can’t afford to be late about matters of the soul! You must prepare for my coming again. You must believe and act on “the words of prophecy written in this book.” When Jesus says that he is “coming soon,” He isn’t necessarily referring to a specific timeframe as we might understand it, but rather he is emphasizing the certainty and imminence of his return. We know this because it’s been more than 2,000 years since Christ told the apostle John that he was coming soon, and the evangelist recorded it in Revelation. Some might query, “Why the delay?” The concept of time in biblical prophecy is often understood differently from our conventional understanding, as it operates within a broader framework of divine timing and fulfillment rather than adhering strictly to some human chronology. Larry R. Helyer and Richard Wagner in The Book of Revelation for Dummies, masterfully clarify: “The Old Testament prophets who spoke of the End-Times Day of the Lord also describe it as imminent, impending, even threatening. For example, Isaiah, speaking in the name of God, proclaims, “For soon my salvation will come, and my deliverance revealed” (Isaiah 56:1). Through Ezekiel, the Lord promises “they [the exiled people of Israel] shall soon come home (Ezekiel 36:8). Many similar passages make the same point. “The New Testament adopts the same note of imminence about Jesus’ Second Coming – the day of the Lord Jesus Christ (see Romans 3:12; James 5:8; I Peter 4:7; I John 2:18). At the very least, there’s a consistency of expectation between the two Testaments: both Testaments view the Day of the Lord as imminent.” Don’t misunderstand! If one considers the signs of the times — those harbingers the Scriptures provide which indicate the Lord’s coming again is indeed near — it would seem we have every reason to be encouraged that time-wise Christ’s return is very close at hand. Yet, we don’t know with absolute certainty, and we must be careful not to be dogmatic about it, as some have in the past, and made fools of themselves and injured the witness of the church. Christ may come today but it may also be several hundred years from now. Nevertheless, we should live in a state of readiness. The primary reason for the Bible saying the coming of our Lord will be “soon,” is to underscore the urgency of being spiritually prepared and vigilant. Living every day in the light of Christ’s return is an incentive for being in a right relationship with God, faithfully living for the Lord, and staying ready for his coming judgment. We are to treat this most momentous day in the future as though it may happen at any moment! We should always watch, faithfully and expectantly. Then, we can avoid being ashamed at his appearance. May God give us grace not to believe the Devil’s curiously effective lie. We mustn’t allow him to lull us into complacency. We cannot afford to believe the whispers that say that we have plenty of time to decide and act. You see, it really is urgent! If things are this bad already, what is going to happen if the election in November does not go the way that leaders on the left want and they give the green light to millions of radicals to cause widespread chaos all over America? I think that we got a small preview of what this could look like during the riots of 2020. Unfortunately, since that time the open border policies of the Biden administration have allowed millions of extremely desperate people to come pouring into this country. The stage is being set for civil unrest on a scale that we have never seen before, and it certainly isn’t going to take much to push our society over the edge. Just look at what is happening in New York City. Crime in the subway system is so bad that Governor Kathy Hochul has decided to call in the National Guard… New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is sending in the state National Guard to New York City to help police curb a surge in crime in the city’s subways. Announcing a five-point plan on Wednesday, the Democratic governor said she was deploying 750 members of the National Guard to the subways to assist the New York Police Department with bag searches at entrances to busy train stations. “For people who are thinking about bringing a gun or knife on the subway, at least this creates a deterrent effect. They might be thinking, ‘You know what, it just may just not be worth it because I listened to the mayor and I listened to the governor and they have a lot more people who are going to be checking my bags,'” Hochul said at a news conference in New York City. Have things gotten so bad that we need to bring in soldiers with guns to keep order on the subways? Apparently so. Mass transit crime is also a major problem in Philadelphia, and it is being suggested that the National Guard should be deployed there too… Transit Workers Union Local 234 President Brian Pollitt is demanding accountability from Gov. Josh Shapiro, Mayor Cherelle Parker, and SEPTA officials after a string of violent crimes on and around Philadelphia mass transit over the last few weeks. In fact, he says he has been calling for National Guard deployment on SEPTA – similar to how New York City has deployed the National Guard on MTA – for four years, according to WKYW. “I think that governor needs a round of applause because they’re going through the very same thing that we’re going through,” Pollitt said of New York City. I thought that dealing with crime was what the police were supposed to do. Unfortunately, police departments in major cities all over the country are now severely underfunded and understaffed. In Pittsburgh, the situation is so dire that police will no longer respond to calls involving “theft, harassment, criminal mischief, and burglary”… WPXI Channel 11 out of Pittsburgh reports that police will no longer be responding to calls that are not deemed to be “in-progress emergencies,” meaning theft, harassment, criminal mischief, and burglary alarms will essentially be ignored. Such calls will Instead be redirected to an answer machine, according to the report which also notes that from 3 am to 7 am, the city’s six police stations will operate without desk officers present. Only around 20 officers will be available for overnight shifts to cover the entire city, the report further notes, stating that the decision has been taken due to “understaffing.” Seriously? So if you own a home in Pittsburgh and someone is robbing you, what are you supposed to do? We really have reached a point in our societal decline where the wheels are coming off right in front of our eyes. In Oakland, crime is so bad that four out of the five Taco Bell restaurants in the city have completely closed their dining rooms… Taco Bell restaurants in Oakland, California have been forced to suspend indoor dining indefinitely after being subjected to a series of robberies amid an unrelenting crime surge in the city, DailyMail.com can reveal. Four of the five Taco Bell locations across the Bay Area city now have large signs hanging from their windows advising: ‘DINING ROOM CLOSED.’ Business has been restricted to drive-thru service only – a sad new reality for many customers and families hoping to sit down for a peaceful meal. It may not be easy for a lot of people to admit, but we are rapidly becoming a third world country. Theft is absolutely rampant in America today. Organized retail crime has become a multi-billion dollar industry in the United States, and according to CNBC some of these groups actually have very sophisticated facilities that are “indistinguishable from other e-commerce distribution centers”… But federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations, the Department of Homeland Security’s law enforcement branch, said some crime groups are even more elaborate — and theft is just one facet of their enterprises. “We’re talking about operations that have fleets of trucks, 18-wheelers that have palletized loads of stolen goods, that have cleaning crews that actually clean the goods to make them look brand new,” said Adam Parks, an assistant special agent in charge at HSI, which is the main federal agency investigating retail crime. “Just like any business, they’ve invested their capital into business assets like shrink wrap machines, forklifts,” Parks, who works out of HSI’s Baton Rouge, Louisiana, office, told CNBC in an interview. “That is what organized theft looks like, and it actually is indistinguishable from other e-commerce distribution centers.” We have never seen anything like this before. If you follow my work on a regular basis, you know that I have been saying that a lot lately. Our country has been totally transformed. At this point our youths are so lawless that even very young girls are committing acts of extreme violence… The Missouri Attorney General is calling on the 15-year-old girl who beat another teen’s head into concrete to be tried as an adult. The teenage victim is fighting for life in critical condition after her head was repeatedly smashed into the ground during a brawl near a Missouri high school. AG Andrew Bailey announced on X: ‘This evil and complete disregard for human life has no place in Missouri, or anywhere. I am praying for the victim. ‘The criminal should be charged and tried as an adult. If the victim dies, that offense should rise to a homicide.’ Our streets are stained with blood from coast to coast, and more violent predators are being allowed in on a continual basis. Earlier today, I came across an article about the 50 most violent cities in the world. If you can believe it, 46 of them are actually in the western hemisphere… To qualify for the list, a city (or metropolitan area) must have at least 300,000 inhabitants. The calculations are based on the rate of homicides per 100,000 inhabitants. Of the 50 most violent cities on the 2023 list, 46 were in the Western Hemisphere. The only exceptions were four cities in South Africa. I suppose that most of you will not be surprised to learn that Mexico had the most cities on the list… The country with the most violent cities on the list was our neighbor to the south, Mexico, with 16. In second place was Brazil, with 10 cities, followed by Colombia with eight. The United States of America was #4 on the list with six cities. With such extreme violence raging just across our southern border, you would think that our leaders would be doing all that they can to keep us safe. But instead the Biden administration has been allowing millions upon millions of people to come pouring in. Our migration crisis is fueling a growth explosion for criminal gangs all over the nation. We are already experiencing a crime wave of epic proportions, but I am extremely concerned about what will happen if things go a certain way in November. If they don’t win the election, leaders on the left may decide to make it very clear that it is time for “civil disobedience” on a massive scale. I have been warning about civil unrest that would completely and utterly tear this country apart for many years, and I believe that we are now right on the brink of seeing that happen. Many of our major cities have reached a point where they are literally on the verge of being ungovernable, and America is becoming a little bit more lawless with each passing day. The writer further stated that the people we call the Jews today are not Jews at all. The typical rant ensued about the wickedness of modern Israel, Zionism, the Mossad, and the Ashkenazi Jews who control the world. Normally embedded in the rant is some expletive about Israel controlling America. I receive these types of emails berating me for being so naïve, blind, deceived, and several other things I can’t print, all because I support the modern state of Israel and its right to exist in her land without the constant threat of terrorism. By the tone and content of most of these emails I wonder if the authors are saved, born-again, spirit filled believers in Jesus Christ. The biggest reason for my concern for these individuals is their denial of what the Bible says and their belief in what the Bible doesn’t say. Let me explain. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God will establish a fake Israel in her ancestral land. As hard as some people work to argue that modern Israel is not biblical Israel, they cannot formulate a convincing defense of their belief. The reason is clear – arguing against what the Bible declares God will do in the end of days is a losing argument every time. The same is true for the people we call the Jews. Elaborate arguments are offered that seek to destroy any belief that the Israelites of today are biblical Jews. Again, the argument is not supported biblically. These same individuals assign no significance to the rise of the nation of Israel in 1948. According to these same people, this modern miracle was not the handiwork of God in fulfillment of His many promises to return His people to their land just before He destroys His enemies (Ezekiel 36-37, Matt. 24:32–33, etc.). They attribute the entire event to conspiracy. It was the global banking cartel headed by the Rothschilds. Modern Israel is the brainchild of evil Zionists who seek to control the world. It was the result of wicked dispensationalists such as Darby, Scofield, and Moody. The truth is that the modern state of Israel is biblical Israel. God has and continues to call His people Israel back to their land and all of this is in preparation for the rise of the Antichrist, and the Tribulation period, which is clearly focused on Israel. Daniel 9:24-27 states unequivocally that the Tribulation period is about Daniel’s people, his holy city, and the process by which God brings His people into saving faith. Zechariah 12 and 14 come into play here as does Ezekiel 38-39 war. All of this is end of days language. It is a travesty that people who write lengthy diatribes against Israel and the Jews do not spend the same amount of time studying what the Bible says instead of their favorite YouTube scholars and so-called truthers. Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: The prophecy clock and Iran - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com For nearly 20 years, I’ve been following the Iranian nuclear program and the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) feckless attempts to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons. Seems like every six months, the IAEA has had some statement that Iran is still enriching uranium, it’s not using it to produce nuclear weapons, there are many aspects to a weapons program and Iran is not there yet. All that is changing. On February 19, IAEA head Rafael Grossi said Iran is continuing to enrich uranium beyond commercial grade use. On March 4, Grossi admitted: “the agency has lost continuity of knowledge about the production and inventory” of Iran’s components used to possibly build a nuclear weapon. According to the Jerusalem Post, Grossi told the IAEA Board of Governors that it’s been three years since IAEA has been able to inspect to the Iranian program and that the only obstacle to Iran producing a nuclear weapon is the political decision to do so. He said, “Public statements made in Iran regarding its technical capabilities to produce nuclear weapons only increase my concerns about the correctness and completeness of Iran’s safeguard declarations.” In December 2005, The Daily Jot reported, that then IAEA chief Muhammad ElBaradei said that if Iran resumed enrichment of uranium as threatened, the rogue nation would have a nuclear bomb within a few months. A month before, ElBaradei said that there was no evidence that Iran had a nuclear weapons program. His feckless leadership and often delusional ideas of trusting Iran have largely brought the world to the brink of a nuclear terrorist-sponsoring state. Three years later in 2008, ElBaradei admitted to the LA Times that the UN’s policy toward preventing Iran from a nuclear arms program “has been a failure.” This from the man who balked at Bush Administration concerns that Iran was moving toward building a nuclear weapon in a November 2004 news conference, “I am not ready to jump to the conclusion and say this is a weapons program,” he said, “unless I see clear cut proof that this is a weapons program. And we are not there yet.” The IAEA leadership under El Baradei and Grossi have played the “could have a nuke in six months” card nearly every year for two decades. Iran is a main Biblical prophetic player that comes against Israel, igniting a colossal end times battle prophesied in Ezekiel 38. Ezekiel 38:2 says, “…set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against them.” Magog, Meshech, Tubal are all located in what is now modern Turkey. Verse 5 says, “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them…” Persia is modern day Iran. The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus, “Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18 NLT). Another translation of the word “filled” speaks of the wind filling the sails of a boat. Imagine being out on a lake, bobbing around in a sailboat without any wind. But then a gust comes along, you hoist your sail, and you pick up speed. In the same way, how much better our lives are when we let the Holy Spirit fill our sails and give us the strength to live the life God calls us to live. This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about asking God to help us because we can’t do it on our own. This is not works-based righteousness; it’s working righteousness. If you don’t want to go backward, then go forward. The best way not to walk in the flesh is to walk in the Spirit and take practical steps to do that every day. As believers, we should start each day by asking God to fill us with the Holy Spirit. Spirit-led people are spiritually-minded people. Romans 8:5 tells us, “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit” (NLT). In other words, be preoccupied with things that preoccupy the Holy Spirit. And what are those things? The rest of Romans 8 answers that question. For instance, verse 14 says, “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God” (NLT). Verses 15–16 tell us that God removes the fear of rejection and assures us that we are His children. Also, verses 26–27 tell us that the Holy Spirit gives us confidence to approach God in prayer. Therefore, God wants us to think about the fact that He adopted us, He loves us, and He welcomes us. As a child of God, you’re adopted. I got my last name, Laurie, from a man named Oscar Laurie, one of my mother’s many husbands. He adopted me and treated me as his son. He’s in Heaven now, but I still feel a great love for him. God loves you, and He welcomes you in prayer. This is important when you’re going through something that causes you to worry. Remember, you’re God’s adopted child. He welcomes you. He wants to hear from you. He wants you to think about Him. That is what it means to be spiritually-minded and have the Holy Spirit dominate your mind. In contrast, when the sinful nature dominates us, we “think about sinful things” (Romans 8:5). A lot can fall into this category, including lust, anger, and hatred. But it also can include empty things such as fame and fortune. Let’s fill our minds with the things of God.
