Until then, things are going to get nasty - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2024/03/16/nasty-by-daymond-duck/ According to the Bible, God would bring Israel back into being at the end of the age, and that tiny nation will never be destroyed again (Amos 9:15; Ezek. 37:25; Psa. 89:30-37). God will correct and punish the Jews at the end of the age; He will destroy all the other nations (during the Tribulation Period and at His Second Coming), but He will not destroy Israel or allow other nations to destroy Israel (Jer. 30:11; 46:28). Though every nation on earth comes against Israel, they will not be able to destroy Israel because God wants everyone on earth to know something about Israel; her God is God, He is faithful, and He keeps His promises. Most Jews do not know that Jesus is their Messiah. They will rebuild the Temple and resume the animal sacrifices, but God is faithful. He will not break His covenants with the Jewish people, and all of Israel will eventually get saved (Gen. 17:7-8; Rom. 11:26). Israel will eventually wind up with all the land from the river to the sea and a whole lot more. Having said this, realize that since Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948, nations have been trying to destroy her, and all have failed. There have been many efforts to force a peace treaty on Israel and her enemies, but all have failed. Israel’s enemies do not keep peace treaties; they always break them, and the international community ignores them. Even now, there is talk of forcing a peace treaty on Israel and her neighbors, but they will fail. On Mar. 4, 2024, Israel’s ex-defense minister, Benny Gantz (he is also a member of Netanyahu’s war cabinet), visited the U.S. to discuss a ceasefire in the Middle East without the permission of Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu. On Mar. 6, 2024, Gantz traveled to the UK to discuss the same thing. He drew strong criticism in Israel, and some in the Netanyahu government said he might be committing treason. In Washington, Gantz told Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, that “ending the war without clearing out Rafah is like sending a firefighter to extinguish 80 percent of the fire.” Putting out 80% of a fire won’t work, a premature Israeli withdrawal from Gaza won’t work, forcing a peace treaty on both sides won’t work, and the head of a world government (the Antichrist) confirming a temporary covenant for 7 years of peace won’t work. So then, what will work? Peace on earth requires the fulfillment of God’s Word. Israel must accept Jesus as their Messiah, and Israel must get all the Promised Land. It will take the Tribulation Period and Second Coming of Jesus to bring this about. Until then, things are going to get nasty. (Reminder: I believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture.) Here are some recent reports that seem to relate to Bible prophecy. One, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Mar. 7, 2024, it was reported that a newspaper in Lebanon that is affiliated with Hezbollah said Israel has set Mar. 15, 2024, as a deadline for a diplomatic settlement of its ongoing conflict with Hezbollah. According to the report, if there is no diplomatic settlement by Mar. 15, Israel will expand its operations to a widescale war (things could get nasty). (More: On Mar. 10, 2024 – the beginning of Ramadan in some nations – Hezbollah in Lebanon fired more than 60 rockets into Israel. An Israeli official said Israel is preparing for an all-out war with Hezbollah.) (More: On Mar. 11, 2024, it was reported that the Israeli military is planning to build temporary bomb shelters stocked with food, water, beds, and cots in preparation for a war with Hezbollah. According to the report, they have already acquired 80,000 meal packages in the event that they are needed.) Two, concerning a ceasefire in Gaza: on Mar. 9, 2024, it was reported that officials in the U.S., Qatar, and Egypt agreed that Hamas does not want a ceasefire at this time. Hamas prefers to keep the war going, start trouble in Jerusalem and the West Bank, and use the situation to cause a broader war in the region during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Three, concerning the decline of America: on Mar. 6, 2024, the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen fired an anti-ship missile at a cargo ship in the Red Sea. The missile struck the ship, killed 3 people, and injured 4 (3 are in critical condition). The U.S., UK, and others have attacked the Houthis at least 4 times, but the Houthis continue to say they will not stop attacking cargo ships until Israel stops attacking Hamas in Gaza. As many see it, Biden is weak, America and its military are in decline, and no one is afraid of the U.S. military anymore. Weakness in the White House is setting the stage for more wars and rumors of wars. (More: On Mar. 8-9, 2024, the Houthis fired at least 37 drones and missiles at cargo ships and U.S. Warships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Have you got that? The Houthis are attacking the U.S. Navy, and Biden’s efforts to stop them have failed.) (More: On Mar. 11, 2024, FBI Director Wray told a U.S. Senate Committee that organizations are smuggling criminals from other nations into the U.S., and we are already seeing a wide array of extremely dangerous threats in the U.S.) (More: On Mar. 12, 2024, it was reported that U.S. military officials said the U.S. has sent vast amounts of our weapons to Ukraine, we are out of many weapons, our military budget is overdrawn, and our military doesn’t have the money to replace the shipped weapons. Pres. Biden said we have come up with $300 million in cost savings on contracts, and we will send that money to Ukraine without Congressional approval.) Four, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters at the end of the age: on Mar. 7-8, 2024, North Platte, Nebraska, got 17.4 inches of snow (15.3 inches on Mar. 7, the most ever in one day). Five, concerning a departing from the faith and persecution of believers at the end of the age: on Mar. 7, 2024, it was reported that Canadian lawmakers are considering a bill to criminalize the quoting of Scripture in defense of marriage. If passed, telling people what the Bible says about gay issues could be deemed hate speech and lead to criminal prosecution. Six, concerning world government: on Mar. 10, 2024, it was reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) is demanding that governments, the media, big tech companies, and civil society silence critics of their unelected globalist agenda. They want to force people to accept everything they say as truth. (FYI: On Mar. 5, 2024, Hungary’s Prime Min. Viktor Orban said, “The hegemony of the West has ended. A New World Order is emerging.) Seven, concerning an increase in pestilences at the end of the age: on Mar. 12, 2024, it was reported that 1,800 immigrants (including 95 children 2 years old and younger) are housed at a shelter. Four people have come down with measles, and a fifth case has been reported elsewhere. Health officials have been quarantining (21 days) and vaccinating the migrants, but some unvaccinated migrants have violated their quarantine. The CDC is sending in a team of experts to try to get the situation under control. Here is my daily update on the Israel-Hamas war. Wednesday, Mar. 6, 2024 (Day 152): The ninety-seventh day of the resumed war. The Hamas ceasefire negotiating team left Egypt and said a ceasefire before Ramadan is unlikely. Thursday, Mar. 7, 2024 (Day 153): The ninety-eighth day of the resumed war. Biden plans to build a seaport at Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid. Biden said he and Netanyahu need to have a “come to Jesus” meeting over getting humanitarian aid into Gaza. Friday, Mar. 8, 2024 (Day 154) The ninety-ninth day of the resumed war. Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. said, “Anybody talking about a Palestinian state right now must be living on another planet.” Canada will resume its funding to the UNRWA, Canada will continue to take the allegations against some of UNRWA’s staff extremely seriously, and Canada will remain closely engaged with UNRWA and the UN to pursue accountability and reforms. Saturday, Mar. 9, 2024 (Day 155): The one-hundredth day of the resumed war. Israel said Hamas is not interested in reaching an agreement now and instead seeks to inflame the broader region during the upcoming Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Sunday, Mar. 10, 2024 (Day 156) The one hundred-first day of the resumed war. Netanyahu said, “They (most Arab countries) basically understand (the war) and even tacitly agree with it. They understand that Hamas is part of the Iranian axis of terror, which threatens them as much as it threatens us.” Thousands of Muslims gathered in Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque, and there were clashes with the Israeli police. Monday, Mar. 11, 2024 (Day 157): The one hundred-second day of the resumed war. There were unconfirmed reports that Israel may have killed the #3 man in Hamas over the weekend. Israel killed a terrorist armed with weapons, ammunition, and a ready-to-use explosive device that they believe was on his way to Tel Aviv to trigger an uprising on Ramadan. Ramadan has begun, and there is no ceasefire. Tuesday, Mar. 12, 2024 (Day 158): The one hundred-third day of the resumed war. Following Israeli strikes on two targets in Lebanon, Hezbollah fired more than 100 Katyusha rockets into the Golan Heights. Israel retaliated by striking 3 Hezbollah rocket launchers. Israel has tripled its attacks on Hezbollah targets in the last 3 weeks. Wednesday, Mar. 13, 2024 (Day 159): The one hundred-fourth day of the resumed war. Israel’s Defense Min. said we are getting closer to an invasion of Rafah. He said, “We will bring every single person involved in the October 7 massacre to justice – we will either kill them or try them in Israel. There is no safe space, not here, not outside Gaza, not across the entire Middle East.” FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6). Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.” Ezekiel was told to preach to a bunch of people in graves—talk about a dead audience. They come alive, and God says, this is my people coming back to their land again. It is interesting how they will say, “Our hope is lost.” One of the greatest tragedies in human history was the Holocaust, which took place during World War II. I don’t know if the United States understood the full impact of what was happening to the Jewish people throughout Europe. Hitler had come up with this idea, which was implemented by those who assisted him, men like Adolf Eichmann, Heinrich Himmler, and others, to bring about what they called the “final solution.” And this “final solution” was the complete eradication of the Jewish race from Europe. They wanted to kill as many Jewish people as possible. They thought of them as subhuman. At first, they had German soldiers shoot them, but they didn’t have the stomach for it. They needed a more, shall we say, efficient way of doing it. Then, they came up with the horrific death camps—these concentration camps with names like Treblinka, Ravensbruck, and, of course, the famed Auschwitz, where 6 million Jewish men, women, and children were gassed, shot, tortured, experimented on, and put to death. This was devastating for the Jewish people globally. But an amazing thing began to happen. Despite this horrible tragedy, Jewish people began to realize, perhaps for the first time collectively, “we cannot expect others to protect us. No one will stand up for us. We need to get back to our land.” And the Jews began to return to Israel on May 14, 1948. History was made when Israel became a nation. That was not the first time Israel was a nation; she had been a nation for thousands of years, but she was born again as a nation, reunified as a people, and the prophetic time clock started to tick. It was a very significant moment. Tim LaHaye, in his book, “Are We Living in the End Times?” said, “The smell of the Holocaust is still fresh in their memories.” In the 1950s, Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion said, “Ezekiel 37 has been fulfilled, and the nation Israel is hearing the footsteps of the Messiah.” Then, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, January 27, 2010, in Auschwitz, Poland, Benjamin Netanyahu, the current Prime Minister of Israel, made this amazing statement: “We have returned to our homeland… from every corner of the earth… The Jewish people rose from ashes… Dry bones became covered with flesh, a spirit filled them, and they lived and stood on their own feet as Ezekiel prophesied.” Then Netanyahu went on to quote Ezekiel 37:11-12. If a pastor said that it’s one thing, but for the Prime Minister of Israel to acknowledge that the Jewish people’s re-gathering together as a nation is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy is amazing. Bible prophecy was fulfilled! I don’t know if Mr. Netanyahu has read Ezekiel 38 and 39… but that’s what is still yet to come for Israel. Yet half of America, according to statistics I’ve read, for example, believes it is okay to literally murder people through abortion. As a matter of fact, it is preferable to do so, in most cases, merely for the sake of convenience. I.e., abortion on demand is no different in such thinking, apparently, than simply throwing out the messes made after a big party. The fun is over, and the results are that one must either get rid of the mess or else live with the rubbish that continues to grow. Abortion is, in the large majority of cases, a matter of convenience after the fact. Now I realize there are legitimately considered reasons for the procedure, but only the God who Issues life can Rule on the legitimacy of such action. So abortion performed for these reasons, considered in cases of a mother’s life, fetus viability, rape, incest, etc., can ultimately be determined only by Heaven’s Authority. Man determines such taking of life, only at the risk of offending the Giver of life. So, in these cases where convenience is truly not the motivating factor, we must, in my view, leave Heaven’s Judicial Determination between God and those performing the taking of life in the womb. What I would like to examine under this title, Satan’s Antichrist Amoeba, includes the human mindset of abortion and all other thinking growing today that more and more leave behind what used to be considered normal. It is more than obvious, if studying God’s Word on the inevitable outcome of embracing anti-God thinking, that the reprobate mind moves ever further away from the ability to form rational thought. Here, of course, is what Paul the great apostle says, under Holy Spirit Inspiration. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity whisperers” (Romans 1:28-29). We read stories of the brain-eating amoeba, which enters its human victim through the nose while the person is swimming in waters that are warm and infected with the insidious microbe or whatever it is considered by the microbiologists. Once infected, the person, if not immediately treated, is shortly unable to survive the brain damage. Death quickly follows. We human beings were infected with a deadly amoeba-like entity called sin through the bloodstream of our father, Adam. He received this sin infection by the serpent, Satan, who injected him –and all humankind that has ever been born except for the Lord Jesus Christ. The result is that humanity, as a whole, continues to go further and further from God, unless Saved from the Sin-infection through belief in Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, as a sacrifice to deliver from that sin infection. God’s Word tells of this ever-present determination by fallen man to move away from God. The antediluvians of Noah’s day had to be destroyed for their corruption due to this satanic, spiritual-mind-destroying amoeba running through the bloodstream untreated. Because of unbelief, anti-God reprobate mindset moves mankind, ultimately, into total perversion. The same was the case with Nimrod’s tower-building generation following the flood. The satanic amoeba again so infected that the Lord destroyed the anti-God project at Babel and scattered infected humanity throughout the world. We look at the world of rebels at this present hour and how mankind has once again reached the point that, apart from Christ’s sin-cleansing Intervention, there is near total corruption and reprobate mindset. The Lord is about to have to again reach down and destroy through Supreme Judgment all anti-God rebelliousness. This will eventuate in the Tribulation –Daniel’s seventieth week. During that Tribulation –the final 7 years before Christ’s Return at Armageddon (Revelation 19:11)—God will Allow the satanic Antichrist amoeba to totally infest the minds of anti-God rebels. Those so infected will believe the lies, and especially a big lie of some sort. Here is what the prophetic Word has to say in that regard. “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thes 2:8-12). We have seen some foreshadowing of the fallen minds of men being set up for believing this great lie following the Rapture of the Church. Jesus said the last of this Age of Grace will be marked by deception and deceivers. Paul wrote under Inspiration that human beings will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. We have all witnessed great deception in these days that are growing ever darker in terms of movement away from godliness. Even secular observers can see and understand that something evil is taking place as deception grows. The following excerpt speaks to the discernment that even those who aren’t necessarily believers are displaying regarding setting up the minds of people for destructive lies. Journalist Lara Logan on Monday told a U.S. Senate roundtable, “We live in the age of information warfare” aided by advanced technology, and “we have never been here, not in all of human history…. Other experts who participated in the roundtable discussed how the news media have become propagandized and warned that media-supported propaganda will lead to a totalitarian society. ‘Vast censorship network’ includes government, nonprofits Journalist Lara Logan, formerly of CBS News, told the panel of experts, “These are the worst of times for the media in this country…” Logan said: “The media is collaborating with government agencies and operatives to censor and shape the information battlefield to justify certain actions. For example, when the president of the United States threatens the unvaccinated, saying ‘Our patience is wearing thin,’ and accuses them of putting communities at risk, his words are designed to justify hatred, censorship and intimidation.” According to Logan, a network of nonprofit organizations whose purpose is to stifle free speech is contributing to information warfare: “For too long we have allowed nonprofit organizations to masquerade as nonpartisan media watchdogs, when in fact, they are a little more than highly paid political propagandists and assassins whose entire reason for being is to crush anyone who stands in their way and along with them, the long-held and cherished ideas of free speech, free thinking and free minds.” “This is a blood sport for them, their political allies, and their puppetmasters. They know how to kill a journalist without murdering them. We call it ‘cancel culture’ …. The deadly amoeba’s spiritual mind-eating is observable in every direction one looks upon today’s darkening prophetic horizon. Jesus Christ, Alone, is the Answer to cure the sin disease caused by this infernal parasite injected by Satan, that old serpent who introduced into Adam’s bloodstream those eons ago. In ancient times, the watchman was like a military scout, except he didn’t gather intelligence by going into the land of the enemy. He watched from towers along the wall of his own city. His job was especially crucial at night when others slept. Christian watchmen also watch for danger, but they also watch for signs of something wonderful. Jesus promised to return, and He said that as that time approached, there would be certain signs. Not all of those signs are negative. For instance, He said that in the time leading up to His return, the Gospel would be preached in all the world. That’s positive! But much of what He and the prophets told us about the time preceding His return sounds scary — terrifying even. The watchman on the wall must look out into the darkness. He must be unflinching. And, to be honest, it can be depressing. If you have a similar calling, you know what I mean. It’s heartbreaking to see so many people choosing paths of destruction and pain. Since 2020, things have been changing at breakneck speed. The whole world seems to be convulsing with violent rage. A Russian weatherman recently joked that conditions were “ideal” for a nuclear strike against NATO. He thought it funny to “joke” about starting World War 3 and causing death on a scale never known before, especially in his own land. It was supposed to be humorous to think of hundreds of millions severely injured, in horrible pain, but unable to receive medical aid. Is mass starvation funny? Are irradiated cities funny? They apparently are to this guy. Have you read about life in Haiti right now? It seems that every reporter talks about the smell of burning human corpses. The Washington Post reports that the people there can’t get the bodies cleared away. There are just too many, and it’s dangerous work because the gangs don’t always want them removed. Vast numbers of dead bodies serve to advertise the gangs’ power. Sometimes, gangs burn people alive. But the majority of the burning bodies are a result of people sick of the smell of rotting flesh and trying to find a way to clear the streets. For most of us, such conditions are unfathomable. But Haitians are living in it every hour of every day. I could talk about Ukraine, Gaza, Iran, or the nightmare many African people and nations are living through. I think about the ugliness being taught to small children all over the world, and what that’s doing to their impressionable minds. Things are terribly wrong and getting worse. These things bring to mind a song first appearing in print in 1919, author unknown. The song says, “This world is not my home. I'm just passing through.” It concludes by saying, “I can't feel at home in this world anymore.” For Christians, this world is not home. While here, we’re supposed to go about doing good. But we need to understand. We were made for another world. Jesus taught that, though we are in this world, we are not of this world (see John 17:11, 14-16). Philippians 3:20 (NASB) says, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” We look forward to heaven, but more than that, we eagerly await the arrival of Jesus. Titus 2:13 calls it “the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” So, when you look out on the night, remember… day is coming. Daily Jot: Are you connected? - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Many of us have experienced situations during our lives where the only option to endure them is faith, the substance of our hope. In Deuteronomy 31:6, Moses gives a promise to the Israelites on behalf of God, saying, “Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” Moses repeats this to Joshua in 31:8, “The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” We can be courageous and strong because the Lord is with us. It is the Lord’s design from creation to the millennial kingdom to be with us. He desires your relationship. A connection with you. From the beginning of creation God desired relationship with humanity, which is revealed in the imagery of the Tabernacle. Certainly, He was physically present with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, when He walked among them. When they became separated from Him through sin, the LORD provided a way for Him to “dwell” among them through instruction, Torah, and the building of the Tabernacle. Moses anointed the Tabernacle and all of the contents with the holy anointing oil, called shemen Ha-mishchah. The word mishchah comes from the same root as “Messiah,” inferring that the Mishkhan/Tabernacle, which means the dwelling of the Divine Presence of God, would foreshadow the redemptive work of the Messiah. Hebrews 9:24 says, “For the Messiah has entered a Holiest Place which is not man made and merely a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, in order to appear on our behalf in the very presence of God.” Meantime, In Christ, God made a way for us to be set free from sin and for the LORD to dwell in our hearts. As Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:17, “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Jesus told us in Matthew 28:20, ”I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” At the end of the age, God’s presence will be reestablished as prophesied many times in scripture, one such reference found in Isaiah 66:17, “For look! I create a new heaven and a new earth; past things will not be remembered, they will no more come to mind.” This is similar to Revelation 21:1, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old earth had passed away… I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God…I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “See! God’s Sh’khinah is with mankind, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and he himself, God with them, will be their God.” His Presence, although invisible to the eyes today, is still among His people until that day when he will actually dwell among us in the new heaven and new earth. Paul cites the true picture of the Tabernacle/Temple of God in 1 Corinthians 3:16, “Don’t you not know that you are God’s Temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?” We can see that God wants to dwell with us. He is in our heart. He never leaves us. Even though we may at times leave Him. It’s all about the connection. On some occasions, when certain things were expected of Him by others, He said, “My time has not yet come” (John 2:4; 7:8 NLT). And what was the “time” that Jesus referred to? It was His betrayal, His death, and His resurrection. But in Luke 19, we find Jesus doing something that definitely caught people’s attention. He decided to enter Jerusalem on what would be His last arrival in a way that would draw attention to Himself. That is because His time had come. Jesus was playing His hand. He was doing something that would force the authorities to react. And He was arriving in a way that would be understood by both the Jews and the Romans. We pick up the story in verse 35: “So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on. As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him” (verses 35–36 NLT). Mark 11 adds this detail: “Many in the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of him, and others spread leafy branches they had cut in the fields” (verse 8 NLT). At that time, when a conquering hero returned from a battle, he entered the city on the back of a donkey. To the Romans, Jesus was clearly declaring that He was a hero, a king. To the Jews, Jesus was plainly saying that He was the Messiah. He was fulfilling prophecy. Zechariah 9:9 says, “Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt” (NLT). Add to this the fact that Jesus was a wanted man at this point. The Bible tells us that the chief priests and Pharisees gave the order that if anyone knew where Jesus was, they should report it so they could seize Him. Therefore, Jesus was saying, in effect, “You want Me? Here I am. I am ready. My time has come.” This shows us that Jesus wasn’t a hapless victim; He was a victorious King with an objective to accomplish. The people, seeing Him arrive, shouted and sang, “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” (Luke 19:38 NLT). The disciples’ hearts probably were leaping for joy as they took in the scene. But Jesus experienced great sadness on this day because the crowds largely were ignorant of His true role. The people wanted a military Messiah who would accomplish their agenda. Meanwhile, Jesus was coming as a suffering Savior to accomplish God’s agenda. In the same way, people today celebrate Christmas and Easter, but they neglect Him the rest of the year. They want Jesus in their lives—as long as He does what they want Him to do. Effectively, they want God on their own terms.
