The resolution purposefully excluded the need for a ceasefire agreement to include the release of Israeli hostages. The United States neglected to use its veto power to block the resolution, which was backed by Russia and China, a move Netanyahu underscored represents an abandoning of support. “The United States has abandoned its policy in the U.N. today,” the Prime Minister said in a statement. “Just a few days ago, it supported a Security Council resolution that linked a call for a ceasefire to the release of hostages. China and Russia vetoed that resolution partly because they opposed a ceasefire that was linked to the release of hostages. Yet today, Russia and China joined Algeria and others in supporting the new resolution precisely because it had no such linkage.” “Regrettably, the United States did not veto the new resolution, which calls for a ceasefire that is not contingent on the release of hostages,” Netanyahu continued. “This constitutes a clear departure from the consistent U.S. position in the Security Council since the beginning of the war.” “Today’s resolution gives Hamas hope that international pressure will force Israel to accept a ceasefire without the release of our hostages, thus harming both the war effort and the effort to release the hostages,” he warned. The Prime Minister’s X account added that because the United States refused to veto the “harmful resolution, he will cancel the Israeli delegation’s visit to the United States.” Additionally, Resolution 2728 perpetuated the false narratives against Israel that the country is deliberately showing disregard for Gazan civilians in its operations inside the strip and withholding aid to those in need. U.N. Secretary António Guterres last week was lambasted by Israel for similar false claims when he insisted that Israel was using “collective punishment” on civilians in Gaza. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz responded by highlighting the fact that “Under his leadership, the U.N. has become an antisemitic and anti-Israeli body that shelters and emboldens terror.” The United States has also been applying pressure on Israel to avoid expanding its Gaza operation into the last Hamas stronghold in Rafah. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday warned that the United States is not “ruling out” consequences if Israel chooses to enter the city. According to U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, Israel’s scheduled meeting in Washington was reportedly set to surround “viable alternatives to going in on the ground in Rafah.” In response to Netanyahu’s cancelation, Kirby downplayed the significance of the U.N. resolution, saying that because it is “non-binding,” it does not represent a shift in U.S. support—a claim which Israel strongly disagrees. Responding to this sequence of events, California Pastor Jack Hibbs voiced his disapproval of the Biden administration’s actions. “Israel absolutely made the right decision by ditching the invitation to the circus at the White House,” he wrote. “The United States is flirting with its own peril as it plays games with Israel during her time of war.” While the United States has moved sharply away from the Biblical values it was founded upon, it has also disregarded the Biblical warning which explains that God’s hand of blessing is predicated on how nations treat Israel and the Jewish people (Genesis 12:3). It was this very understanding that prompted former U.S. President Harry Truman to go against the wishes of his administration by recognizing the State of Israel on May 14th, 1948, a mere eleven minutes after the Jewish State’s re-establishment. Author Hal Lindsey explained that Truman’s decision “began an extraordinary relationship between the United States and Israel.” “Not coincidentally, the US then entered an era of prosperity unprecedented in world history,” Lindsey continued. “When God first told Abraham about the land, He also said in Genesis 12:3, ‘I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’“ Despite the comments of the National Security Council spokesman, the Biden Administration’s constant pressure on Israel to slow down its campaign against Hamas terrorists and its advocating for a dangerous two-state solution indeed constitute a shift in support for Israel. As Pastor Hibbs noted, these actions are to the United States’ own peril, as they place themselves at odds with the One “who keeps Israel” (Psalm 121:4). Even upon learning about one cult in particular, I had trouble believing what I was hearing. We were in Indianapolis, Indiana, to speak at a prophecy conference –invited there by Dan, a person who would become a close friend over the ensuing years. He and his wife were at the head of an anti-cult ministry and were devoted intensively to bringing the Truth to people of the Mormon cult and to all who would heed what they had to say. And they did indeed have much to say about the truth behind the falsely gentle façade of Mormonism. There were great speakers at the conference like Dave Hunt, John Ankerberg and others, and I thoroughly enjoyed and learned from those speakers. But what I remember most was private conversations between Dan and myself. His revelations were stunningly eye-opening. Yet, like I mentioned, I had a hard time getting my non-cultic mind around the insidiousness of the cultic dogmas and practices. The reason for Dan’s and his wife’s intensity in carrying out the assignment the Lord gave them was that they had several years previously to this 1999 conference come out of Mormonism. They had been at the intermediate level, as I understood Dan to say. That is, somewhere in the mid-level of the Mormon Church structure. And their status was about to change. Dan was being looked at for much higher doings in that structure. I never will forget our sitting in a small anteroom off the big sanctuary of the church rented for the conference. It was just Dan and myself there, having a quick lunch. Dan opened up in telling about his and his wife’s leaving the Mormon Church. The following news item, when I came across it on Rapture Ready News, instantly pierced my memory of that conversation those years ago with Dan. A former bishop in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who was featured in an Associated Press investigation into how the church protects itself from allegations of sexual abuse, was arrested by police in Virginia this week after being indicted on charges he sexually abused his daughter while accompanying her on a school trip when she was a child, according to court filings. Police and federal authorities had been searching for John Goodrich after a grand jury in Williamsburg on Jan. 17 found probable cause that he committed four felonies, including rape by force, threat or intimidation, forcible sodomy, and two counts of felony aggravated sexual battery by a parent of a child. Those charges were filed weeks after the AP investigation revealed how a representative of the church, widely known as the Mormon church, employed a risk management playbook that has helped it keep child sexual abuse cases secret after allegations surfaced that Goodrich abused his daughter Chelsea, now in her 30s, at their home in Idaho as well as on a school field trip to the Washington, D.C., area 20 years ago. “I hope this case will finally bring justice for my childhood sexual abuse,” Chelsea Goodrich said in a statement to the AP. “I’m grateful it appears that the Commonwealth of Virginia is taking one event of child sexual assault more seriously than years of repeated assaults were treated in Idaho.” Source: Former Mormon bishop highlighted in AP investigation arrested on felony child sex abuse charges – WJET/WFXP/YourErie, by JASON DEAREN, Rapture Ready News, March 14, 2024 As I said, the news story grabbed my attention and transported me back to that afternoon in Indianapolis, sitting there with Dan. He told me why he and his wife, Augusta, born in Iceland and a naturalized American citizen, were so dedicated to their anti-cult ministry and why they believed in Bible prophecy. They and their children, then grown to adulthood, had been devoted to the Mormon agenda in every way. They saw the Mormon thrust as seeking only to do good and making sure they brought others into that “church” so others, too, would go to Heaven. Then, Dan said somberly, he came fully to know what the Mormon religion entailed at the elevated level that he was selected to join. The bishop, or whatever the superior minister was called –can’t remember—took Dan aside, Dan told me. The church official charged with informing Dan of his being chosen, etc., then hit him with the stunning information and subsequent directive. The church official told Dan that to be in this exalted position to which they were elevating him, he needed to have sex with his daughters. I don’t remember the whys of this commandment by the Mormon structure, but I do remember vividly the instruction Dan told me he was given. It had something to do with solidifying Dan’s family in Heaven’s eternal positioning. I guess the information so stunned me that I missed the details of why such a heinous thing could be demanded by the cult leadership. One thing sure, when Augusta heard the demand, she threw what we call here in the south –a FIT! They broke all connection with the cult that very day, Dan confided. They soon came to know the Lord and were, from that point forward, devoted to Christ and to exposing Mormonism and all cults. Dan and Augusta, both of whom were considerably older than I at the time, are gone to be with the Lord. I look forward to being with those great champions for the Lord again one Eternal Day. The Apostle Paul, I believe, wrapped within his powerful perilous times prophecy the very things today’s cults are foisting. The news story above, and my hearing Dan’s story and what brought them out of Mormonism, points specifically to some of Paul’s forewarning of things to come as the end of the age approaches. I dissect those prophesied bits here. “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be… unholy… Without natural affection, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was” (2 Tim 3: 1 through 9 dissected). To my spirit, Paul’s perilous times prophecy here –the specific things I left in— speaks to the Mormon cult and all other pseudo-Christian cults found in America and around the world today. Now, let me say that there are folks within these cults who are good people, as we define good in our human social relationships. However, they are lost and need to come to know the Lord Jesus for Salvation of their souls –as did Dan and Augusta and as did Terry James. For there is but one who is good. That is, as Jesus Himself said, God. And Jesus is God, and the way, the truth, and the life. No person comes to God the Father but through Jesus. Here is the way to come to Jesus for Salvation and to be ready to go to Heaven either through the Rapture of all believers or through the portal of death. “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Much of what’s reported on the mainstream media is gaslighting, the attempt to persuade people that the things they see and experience are not real. The repetition of lies has been effective; most people go about their lives unaware of the dangers hidden by the misdirection of the day pointing them to a return to a semblance of normalcy. The widespread deception of our time fulfills Bible prophecy. When His disciples asked Jesus about the signs of the last days and His Second Coming, He began with the words, “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4). Paul also warned about the “wicked deception” that would characterize the appearing of the antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:10). Behind the false information that permeates today’s airways lies Satan’s agenda to establish his kingdom on the earth with the man of lawlessness at the helm. He mistakenly believes he can stop the Lord’s restoration of a kingdom to Israel and thus prevent Jesus from setting up His realm. There’s actually good news behind the push of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and UN to establish the devil’s new world order. It not only tells us that we live in the last moments of human history, but it also points to the nearness of the glorious kingdom that we will inherit, one that will be far more glorious than we can imagine. We Are Heirs to a Kingdom Amid the wickedness, terrors, deception, lawlessness, and violence that define our day, we possess an unfailing hope of a realm where righteousness will reign supreme and our joy will know no bounds. The Bible says we are heirs to this glorious realm. In Ephesians 1:11-14, Paul writes we have “obtained an inheritance” of which the Holy Spirit is our “guarantee.” It’s one of the many blessings we have because of Christ. In another passage, the apostle identifies our inheritance as “the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 15:50). Yes, of course, God transfers us to His spiritual domain at the moment of our redemption (Colossians 1:13-14). However, the Bible also tells us that we are also heirs to the physical and yet future manifestation of the Lord’s kingdom. Oh, what a jubilant day that will be for us! At first glance, the words of 1 Corinthians 15:50 seem to convey bad news to us regarding our inheritance: “I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.” Despite telling us that we are now physically unfit to receive our inheritance, these words contain remarkably good news. They signify that our current experience in this vale of tears cannot be the glorious realm that the Lord promises us. If we received our inheritance of a kingdom in our “flesh and blood” bodies, it would leave us with an exceedingly brief time to enjoy the Lord’s bequest to us amid the pain, suffering, and death that come our way here below. Does it not dishonor Him when teachers tell us that this fleeting, troubled existence is His gift to us of a kingdom? I’m certain that it does. I fail to see any encouragement in viewing the church as our inheritance of a kingdom. Furthermore, our current experience in this troubled world is not even remotely close to how the Bible describes Jesus’ future reign upon the earth (see Psalms such as 2, 46, and 110 as well as Revelation 20:1-10). Things such as wars, abortion, lawlessness, gaslighting, ethnic strife, and sex trafficking will be nonexistent when Jesus rules over the nations. Jesus Will Make Us Fit for the Kingdom The comforting news in all this is that Jesus will someday, hopefully soon, make us fit for the kingdom in which we will reign with Him. In 1 Corinthians 15:51-55, Paul writes that He appears, Jesus will raise the dead with “imperishable bodies,” and “we,” too, will experience immortality. Although we cannot receive our inheritance in our current existence, the Lord will make us fit for His eternal realm when He appears and “transforms our lowly body to be like his glorious body” (Philippians 3:20-21). Earlier in 1 Corinthians 15, Paul states that apart from the hope of this resurrection, which later in the passage he says happens at the time of the Rapture, “our faith is futile” and “we are of all people most to be pitied” (1 Corinthians 15:17, 19). The good news of the Gospel includes the promise of a realm that we will enjoy in glorified, incorruptible bodies. Those who say that God has rejected Israel and transferred its kingdom blessings to the church, albeit spiritually, not only severely minimize His covenant promises to the nation but also seriously degrade the wonder of our inheritance of New Testament saints. All this is exceedingly good news for us because it signifies that:
We will reign with Jesus for a thousand years and then forevermore. We greatly rejoice knowing that our glorious inheritance lies in the future rather than now in the confines of the church. 3 Very Unusual Things That Are Happening In The Heavens Right Now - by Michael Snyder - https://endoftheamericandream.com/3-very-unusual-things-that-are-happening-in-the-heavens-right-now/ Within the past few days, so much has been happening in the heavens. There has been an enormous geomagnetic storm that has caused “a major disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field”, a comet that only comes around once every 71 years is racing through the inner solar system, and a lunar eclipse just painted the sky red over much of the planet. And of course we are just a couple of weeks away from the Great American Eclipse of 2024, and I will have much more to say about that eclipse as it draws closer. But in this article, I want to focus on 3 very unusual things that are happening in the heavens right now… #1 A massive geomagnetic storm hit the Earth on Sunday. The good news is that this storm was not strong enough to damage our power grids. But it did create “a major disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field”, and CBS News is reporting that we should keep a close eye on the sun because “more X-class flares are possible through Wednesday”… The planet was just slammed with what government officials dubbed a severe geomagnetic storm, the second-highest level of NOAA’s rating system. The event brought “a major disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field” that may have impacted infrastructure and made the northern lights visible farther than usual, officials said. NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center issued a geomagnetic storm watch on Saturday, saying that a coronal mass ejection was detected and expected to hit the planet late that same day with impacts into Monday. Coronal mass ejections, or CMEs, are when a large cloud of plasma and magnetic field bursts from the sun’s corona. This particular CME exploded alongside a solar flare on Friday, an event that occurs when electromagnetic radiation suddenly erupts from the sun. NOAA says these flares can last hours and the eruption “travels at the speed of light,” meaning it can impact Earth as soon as it is observed. An X-class flare, like what was observed with the CME, is the strongest type of flare, although this particular one was not the strongest on record. NOAA forecasters did say, however, that more X-class flares are possible through Wednesday. #2 The Devil Comet continues to race through the solar system and could soon be visible to the naked eye. It only comes around once every 71 years. Now the “Devil Comet” is here, and we are being told that it is likely that we will be able to see it with the naked eye by the end of this month… “The Devil Comet” — a rare galactic phenomenon the size of Mount Everest that can only be seen by humans about every 70 years — may soon be visible with the naked eye as it barrels toward Earth. The especially bright extraterrestrial treat — formally known as Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks — is making its way through the inner solar system and can currently be seen with a telescope or binoculars. But by the end of March, the comet may be able to be seen with the naked eye at dusk in the Northern Hemisphere against the zodiacal constellation Aries in the western horizon, according to Space.com. #3 A lunar eclipse painted the sky red over much of the planet on Monday. In recent years, there has been a tremendous amount of speculation about what blood moons might mean. Very early on Monday morning, we got to witness one of these blood moons… On Monday, March 25, at 3 a.m. ET (adjust for your time zone), a lunar eclipse in Libra will paint the sky red … kind of. As the moon reflects the Earth’s shadow during a lunar eclipse (rather than the sun’s glow, as per a typical full moon), the moon goes through a visual transformation, shifting from its signature silvery glow into a dark, tawny red. And, thanks to these beguiling optics, lunar eclipses have their own spooky nickname: blood moons. Interestingly, this blood moon just happened to fall on the second day of Purim. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is linking the festival of Purim with the current war that Israel is facing… Today we mark the holiday of Purim (https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/purim). More than 2,000 years ago in ancient Persia, an antisemitic enemy arose, the wicked Haman, who sought to wipe the Jewish people off the face of the Earth. The Jews stood up, united together, fought and won a total victory. Today in modern Persia, there is a new enemy – the Iranian regime, which seeks to destroy the state of the Jews. We have already seen what Hamas, one of this enemy’s proxies, did on October 7, which President Biden also called sheer evil. It is impossible to defeat the sheer evil by leaving it intact in Rafah. As in ancient times, like our brothers, we are also united. We are fighting and will be victorious. We will enter Rafah and achieve total victory. We eliminated Haman and we will also eliminate Sinwar. Happy holiday to you! When the IDF goes into Rafah, it is likely that the entire Middle East will erupt and as a result there will be great bloodshed. Meanwhile, the conflict in Ukraine seems to be entering a very dangerous new phase. The Russians have been pounding Kiev with hypersonic missiles, and for the first time it appears that Ukrainian leadership is being specifically targeted… For the third time in the last five days, Ukraine’s capital, Kiev, has been targeted by a Russian hypersonic missile attack. This time, the attack is clearly part of the ongoing – but barely started – retaliation for the Ukrainian false-flag terrorist attack at the Crocus Hall in the Moscow region. One of the targets was the Zhulyany airport, where Patriot air defense missile systems are said to have reportedly been hit. But the most relevant information so far is that the Security Directorate SBU building has been leveled to the ground. Since the terrorist attack, Russian and Ukrainian sources have reported that the promises made by Russian President Vladimir Putin about not targeting the Ukrainian leadership are all null and void now. Many believe that it is just a “coincidence” that a blood moon has appeared while all of this is going on. And many believe that it is just a “coincidence” that the “Devil Comet” is making a dramatic run through our solar system at this time. By the way, the “Devil Comet” will still be racing through our skies when the Great American Eclipse of 2024 arrives on April 8th. And many believe that it is just a “coincidence” that solar activity has risen to very alarming levels. But could it be possible that there is some sort of a link between all of the chaos in the heavens and all of the chaos that is breaking loose all over our planet right now? On April 8th, we will witness one of the most spectacular astronomical events in human history. The final vote was 14 in favor, none opposed and one abstention—the Unites States. By abstaining instead of exercising its veto power, the US allowed the resolution to pass. According to reports, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield said the resolution did not condemn Hamas for the October 7 terrorist attack. However, she agreed with other parts of the resolution and deferred to Islam, saying “This should be a season of peace…This resolution rightly acknowledges that during the month of Ramadan we must recommit to peace.” This has prophetic ramifications. By putting the Democratic Party’s long-curried Islamic voting bloc ahead of the national security interests of both Israel and the United States prior to a crucial reelection bid and underscoring it as a token toward Ramadan, Biden departed from wise, longstanding policy. He also quite possibly could have sealed a dire fate for the United States and its citizens. Hamas is an Islamic terrorist organization. It ruthlessly murdered men, women and children in the most barbaric and inhuman acts. Its mission is not just to establish a Palestinian state, but most fervently, is to rid the earth of the Jewish people and the state of Israel. It also sees the United States as a sworn enemy and would do the same to any US citizen. Moreover, it has the support of the Arab people living in Gaza, who aid and abed these terrorists, even though they deny their own people food, medical supplies and other humanitarian resources. The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) conducted another poll in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip March 5-10. The PSR reported: “When asked about their own preference, Gazans’ support for continued Hamas control over the Gaza Strip has increased to more than 50%, a 14-point rise. Indeed, given the magnitude of the suffering in the Gaza Strip, this seems to be the most counter intuitive finding of the entire poll. Nonetheless, it is consistent with the increase in the percentage of Gazans who think Hamas will win the current war.” There is no moral equivalency between Israel’s right to exist, the Jewish people’s right to self-preservation and self-defense, and the horrid mission of Hamas and other Islamic organizations that support them. During Ramadan, when America’s misguided Democratic Party-led Administration believes it’s time for Islamic peace, Hamas has called for more terrorism. Herein, we see that Gaza residents still support Hamas in its efforts to eradicate Israel. Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the wicked bear rule, the people mourn.” Both those in Gaza and those in America have cause to mourn. Most don’t even know why. But, the most important trial in human history took place in the first century. It was the greatest travesty of justice this world has ever seen, and its impact continues to this very day. It was when God went on trial. As Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, a large military force led by Judas Iscariot came to arrest Him. Peter, in a last-minute effort, tried to save the Lord. He pulled out a sword and cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant, whom Jesus promptly healed. That, by the way, was the last miracle Jesus performed before His death and resurrection. The soldiers first took Jesus to Annas, the former high priest. He also was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest at the time. But Annas was a shadowy, godfather-like figure, and he was the one in control. Annas had a score to settle with Jesus. Earlier, Jesus had gone into the temple and overturned the merchants’ tables, saying, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves” (Mark 11:17 NLT). Jesus did this not once but twice. Annas controlled those tables. In fact, they were known as the booths of Annas. He was ripping off God’s people, and Jesus was bad for his business. Thus, Annas bound Jesus and sent Him to Caiaphas, the ruling high priest who ultimately condemned Jesus to death and sent Him to Pilate for execution. In the midst of all this, they beat Jesus and put Him in chains. Within twelve hours of His arrest, Christ was beaten and bloodied beyond human recognition and hanging on a crude Roman cross. But there was more happening behind the scenes that day. It wasn’t simply a story about Annas or Caiaphas or Pilate or even Judas Iscariot. It was the story of good and evil at work. Satan wanted Jesus dead, so he marshaled his forces and played his wicked hand. In contrast, God wanted the sin of the world to be dealt with. And that only would happen through the death of His Son. Unbeknownst to them, they were playing into the perfect plan and purpose of God. God the Father declared that the Messiah would not only die for the sins of the world but also die by crucifixion. Psalm 22 has our Lord saying, “They have pierced my hands and feet” (verse 16 NLT). And Isaiah 53, written hundreds of years before Jesus died, gives a vivid description of what happened when Christ suffered and died. That was the plan of God all along. Jesus Himself pointed out to His own disciples that He would be betrayed and sentenced to die. They would mock and whip, and crucify Him, but on the third day, He would rise from the dead. It all was going according to plan—God’s plan.
