The World Is Only Going to Get Rougher, But Greater Things Are Still Ahead For Believers – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-world-is-only-going-to-get-rougher-but-greater-things-are-still-ahead-for-believers/ These are dark days, but our hope is not in anything in this world. The Bible says in Colossians 3, “If you indeed were raised with Christ, and seek those things which are above where Christ is at the right hand of the Father, and do not seek those things which are on earth….” I want to tell you that according to what the Bible says, things are only going to get rougher. But why is He saying, “Seek those things which are above”? Because greater things are still ahead for us, the believers. We are going to be taken up at the last trumpet with the sound of the archangel, and we are going to be escorted into the throne room. Imagine one day you received a legitimate notification. It’s not one of the scams that float around today, but a real and proven true notification that you had inherited a large fortune. The notifying entity told you that the process time necessary to transfer the funds to you was going to take three-to-four weeks. Think about how you would view any current financial woes you may have during that time. Let’s say that your personal financial situation was dire, even perilous. Would the notification change how you lived, felt, and thought for the next three-to-four weeks? Obviously we all wish this scenario would actually happen. But what we need to remember is that in a far more important way than temporal financial freedom, we have received notification from the King of heaven that a pain and problem free existence is in our future. Our feet will walk streets of gold. Our eyes will behold ultimate beauty. Our ears will hear things unimaginable to our finite minds. And, most of all, we will see the King of Kings and Lord of Lords face to face! 1 John 3:2 KJV – “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” This notification we have received is not spam. There are no catches or hidden fees. It is a promise from God, who cannot lie (Titus 1:2) that someday we will see Him as He is. In order for that to happen, we need to remember another promise from the author and finisher of our faith: John 14:1-3 KJV – “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” Whether through death or rapture, our future is nothing like our present. When we are absent from the body we are present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). This should remind us of another truth: Psalm 16:11 KJV – “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Over and over the Bible directs our minds to the future. This practice enables us to face the present without being overwhelmed by temporary circumstances that are unpleasant or painful. Our future is one of fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. It’s not like a vacation you wish wouldn’t end or a place you long to visit someday again. It is our eternal existence through Christ who has promised all this to be true. Until our future becomes our present and permanent experience, we would do well to heed to words of the Psalmist: Psalm 121 KJV – “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Our fictitious fortune notification we began with may actually happen for a few people here on this earth, but our promise is much bigger and is true for us as many as received Him. For to them He gave the right to called the sons and daughters of God (Acts 4:12) which makes us welcome in the Father’s house when Jesus comes to receive us unto Himself. Until then, let’s keep our eyes lifted up and not let circumstances get us down. This life is not all there is and the next one is far better and way longer, and with all that is going on in the world today, it seems possible we are heading to the Father’s house soon! In these last days, the whole world is looking at you. If you behave anxiously, fearful, and confused, if you are into reckless conspiracy theories, if you are an angry person, if you are fighting all day long, if you are hateful, I’m not sure you’re ready. The Bible says He never gave us the spirit of fear. But of what? “Of power and love and sound mind.” We are going to see more and greater and more terrible things. Not that I’m wishing to see that, but I know where this world goes. And you should too. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus. Jack Hibbs bashes Replacement Theology as 'heresy,’ says Israel is ‘prerequisite’ for End Times - By Michael Gryboski - https://www.christianpost.com/news/jack-hibbs-bashes-replacement-theology-as-false-doctrine.html Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, California, denounced the belief that God is done with the Jewish people, noting that, according to the Bible, Israel is a “prerequisite” for the End Times. Hibbs preached the second part of a two-part sermon series on Sunday titled “Epicenter Israel,” in which he looked at the modern state of Israel through the lens of biblical prophecy. Read part one here. During his message, Hibbs denounced Replacement Theology, which is the theory that the Christian Church has replaced Israel as the people that God has a prophetic plan for. “There are Bible pastors and teachers out there — I say that liberally — who tell you that Israel doesn’t matter anymore because they don’t believe, that that’s proof that they’re lost forever,” said Hibbs. “Friends, that’s false doctrine. Any ministry, any pastor, any group that says ‘Israel as a nation and the Jew doesn’t matter,’ that is a doctrine of heresy, pure and simple. And you need to stay clear of it.” Hibbs pointed to Jeremiah 31:31-33, in which God promises to “make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah” and that “I will be their God, and they will be my people.” “If God says I am going to keep these promises and I’m going to do these things,” Hibbs continued. “God moves, sometimes very slowly, but always effectively.” Hibbs went on to say that “no one is escaping the issue of Israel” and that it will remain relevant to God’s plan because “Israel’s statehood is a Second Coming prerequisite.” “In other words, if the Bible says Christ is coming back to Israel, then if you don’t believe in God or if you want to destroy the concept of God, then destroy the nation of Israel. Then you prove the Bible wrong,” he continued. “If there is no Israel, then the Bible is wrong. Pretty simple. And if you do believe in the Bible, but you don’t want to have anything to do with Israel, if you destroy Israel, then the Messiah cannot come back to Israel.” Hibbs stated that God is “going to do exactly what He says,” so He will “come back to Jerusalem,” noting that Israel “is not a laughing matter” but rather its importance “will escalate.” Hibbs stressed that “Israel is paramount to understanding the End Times” and that “the God of the Bible is a Zionist,” pointing to Ezekiel 36:7-12, in which God promises exiled Jews “will soon come home” and that “towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.” “God is for Israel. The world is not,” said Hibbs. “God’s going to fulfill His promises; the world is going to do everything to stop that. One is going to win, and one is going to lose, bigtime.” Last week, during the first part of the series, Hibbs said Hamas was “pimping Palestinians” by transforming them into “implements of war” against Israel due to antisemitic ideals. “This is a very, very tender and sad situation,” said Hibbs. “Hamas is responsible for what’s going on in Israel right now. You need to remember that in all that’s taking place.” “Tragically, our national leaders have forgotten that, our university campuses willfully neglect this. Hamas is pimping Palestinians to achieve its goal.” “Just as it has historically always hidden behind women and children, daycare centers, and hospitals to do what it does, so [Hamas is] using Palestinian people today.” “And our heart goes out to them. May God bring salvation and hope and peace to the Palestinian people who want nothing to do with this terrorist activity,” Hibbs stated. “Tragically, they are being used as pawns and implements of war.” DOWNLOAD THE PROPHECY UPDATE APP Prophecy Update Videos Must Watch Videos! If you are like me, you have probably sung that song every time we celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of our precious Saviour, Jesus Christ. What a blessed time of year it is to gather together and sing triumphant songs of victory. Christ bore our sins on the tree, was buried and rose again, guaranteeing that all who have a saving faith in Him will live with Him eternally. No wonder the gospel is called the good news! But dear reader, although we know that Christ ascended into heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father, history and mythology is littered with stories of others who supposedly ascended up on high. In this article, we will examine some of those claims, for I am reminded of Proverbs 30:4: “Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know?” Let us also consider the words of Jesus Himself when, in that famous exchange with Nicodemus, said: “No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.” (John 3:13). Rooted in mythology is the name Hercules. I am sure most people would have heard the name. His name is synonymous with strength. He was not only a divinized hero to the Romans but also to the Greeks, who considered him a demi-god and knew him as Heracles, which means “glory to Hera” (his stepmother). He was the first figure in Greco-Roman belief who had been born to a mortal mother but achieved godhood after his death. Hercules was renowned for his intelligence, loyalty and physical strength. Because of these qualities, many believed he ascended to Mount Olympus after his death to take his place as one of the gods. In this way, Roman Emperors (who also set themselves up as divine figures) promoted his story to explain how they too would eventually live as gods. Emperor Commodus (born 161AD and died 192AD) was particularly enamored with Hercules. He was a brutal ruler and not well-liked by the Roman people. When commissioning statues of himself, he would insist that he be depicted in a lionskin cape and holding a club, claiming to be the reincarnated Hercules. In Roman culture, particularly amongst the emperors, their worship was not fixed upward (to the true and living God) but inward (to themselves). Like the coins we use today, Roman coins had two sides with two different inscriptions. At the time of Tiberius Caesar, one side bore the image of Caesar with the words “Tiberius Caesar Divi Augusti Fili Augustus”, meaning “Tiberius Caesar, worshipful son of the god, Augustus”. On the other side appeared the words “Pontif Maxim” – an abbreviation for “Pontifex Maximus”, meaning “Chief High Priest”. But what was so special about Augustus that Tiberius would consider himself the son of this “god”? Well, the title “Augustus” means “exalted” and the Roman Senate gave him this title in recognition of his efforts to restore order after the Roman civil war. And so revered was he that upon his death, the Senate declared him to be a god. This is not without precedent, because the man who adopted him (Julius Caesar) was treated in much the same manner. In 42BC the Roman Senate formally deified Julius Caesar as divus lulius, meaning “the divine Julius”. Augustus embraced his status as divi filius (“son of the god”) and had coins issued which bore inscriptions such as “Divine Caesar and Son of God”. An Egyptian inscription even called him a star “shining with the brilliance of the Great Heavenly Saviour.” In an inscription dated to around 9BC and discovered in the Roman city of Priene in modern day Turkey, the birthday of Augustus is commemorated as being good news for all humanity. It reads in part: “Since Providence, which has ordered all things and is deeply interested in our life, has set in most perfect order by giving us Augustus, who she filled with virtue that he might benefit mankind, sending him as a saviour, both for us and our descendants, that he might end war and arrange all things, and since he, Caesar, by his appearance (excelled even our anticipations), surpassing all previous benefactors, and not even leaving posterity any hope of surpassing what he has done, and since the birthday of the god Augustus was the beginning of the good tidings for the world that came by reason of him.” In the last line of the inscription, we read the words “good tiding.” That is the Greek word “euangelion.” To the secular world of the time, “euangelion” was a political word and it often referred to an empire or kingdom and how the power and riches of the kingdom bring with it good news for those who are faithful or have allegiance to that empire. In other words, people were directed to trust in the “good tidings” of Augustus and his kingdom. Now, the name Caesar Augustus is mentioned only once in the Bible and that is in Luke 2. Do you know what else is announced in Luke 2? The birth of Jesus! And note the language used in verse 10: “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” There is that phrase – good tidings! But this time, it would not refer to the benevolence of a political saviour but to the Christ who came to seek and to save the lost from their sins. Augustus clearly didn’t possess the qualities of a deity. Nor would have he ascended to heaven after his death to rule as a god. Yet, he accepted divine titles as a means of propaganda and rule. You see, the people heavily depended on the emperor and there was an expectation that he alone would be their source of victory, peace, prosperity, safety and security. And in the context of Luke 2, although his decree of a census was his mechanism to measure the greatness of his kingdom, in reality God was using him to set the scene for the true King. You see, Augustus and other Roman rulers thought they were building their own kingdom, but they were simply unwitting actors in God’s plan. Very soon another ruler will arise from the revived Roman Empire. Thankfully, believers will not have to sit under his rule. Yet, he will be accepted and loved by many. Perhaps he will even turn to the old Roman Pantheon for inspiration. But ultimately, we know he will be but one member of the unholy trinity. Allowed to rule for a time, he will be defeated by the true King – the One who is the Son of God – who ascended up on high and is seated at the right hand of God. When we celebrate His death, burial and resurrection, let us also celebrate His ascension. For because He is ascended, we are promised that He will come again to rule and reign in perfect righteousness. Then, no more will the world be subject to tyrannical rulers who claim they are gods. Revelation 22: Eternal recompense - By Mark Creech - https://www.christianpost.com/voices/revelation-22-eternal-recompense.html Dr. Howard A. Kelly, a distinguished physician and committed Christian, stood as one of the original four founding professors of the Johns Hopkins Hospital School of Medicine upon its establishment in 1893. During his tenure as a medical student, Kelly’s resolve to pursue his studies led him to undertake various endeavors to meet his financial needs. Among these efforts, he would sell books during the summer months. One particular day, parched from his endeavors, he sought refreshment at a nearby farmhouse. Welcomed by a young girl who offered him water, he gratefully accepted, only to be pleasantly surprised when she instead presented him with a glass of milk, the coolness of which revived his spirits. As years elapsed, Kelly completed his medical education and ascended to the esteemed position of chief surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital. It was during this period that a destitute and gravely ill woman was admitted under his care. Recognizing her dire circumstances, Kelly ensured she received the utmost attention, providing her with a private room and dedicated nursing care. Through meticulous surgical intervention and attentive postoperative care, the woman’s health steadily improved. Upon her recovery, the head nurse conveyed the news of her discharge, a moment of elation tinged with apprehension at the anticipated financial burden of her treatment. Requesting the invoice, the woman braced herself for the impending expenses. To her astonishment, as she perused the bill, her eyes fell upon a remarkable notation at the bottom: “Paid in full with one glass of milk! Howard A. Kelly, M.D.” Dr. Howard A. Kelly’s story echoes Jesus’ promise to his disciples that even the smallest act, such as offering a cup of water in his name, will not go unrewarded (Mark 9:41). It is this same sentiment that is reiterated by Jesus in the last verses of the book of Revelation. Herein the Lord promises to return and bring with him a reward for every action of heart-felt service given in his name. Just as the woman’s small deed was ultimately recognized and more than generously rewarded, so it will be for everyone who faithfully awaits the Savior’s return in faith and perseverance. Here is what the Bible says: Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs — the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie (Revelation 22:12-15). In the book of Revelation alone, Jesus admonishes three times: “I am coming soon.” (Revelation 22:7, 12, 20). The concept of Christ’s imminent return, however, is mentioned throughout the New Testament, though not necessarily in the same words. For instance, in Matthew 24:44, Jesus says, “You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.” This echoes the idea of viewing the Lord’s return as near at hand, though the language, “I am coming soon” is not used. In biblical literature, repetition is often used to highlight the importance of a particular message or event. This is especially the case when something is repeated three times in the same chapter — the repetition is meant to heighten its emotional and spiritual resonance. Encapsulated within this trinity of proclamations are all the implications of its great significance: hope, comfort, accountability, urgency, motivation to share the Gospel, a call to obedience, and an encouragement to remain faithful. There is a story about a traveler in Switzerland who came upon a beautiful villa on the shores of a lake, far from the beaten path of most tourists. An aged gardener who cared for the villa was always glad to see visitors. He had lived alone there for many years. “How often does the owner of the villa come to see you?” asked the traveler. “Not very often. It’s been several years since his last visit,” responded the caretaker. “But,” said the traveler, “you have everything in such perfect order. It’s so clean and well-landscaped, with everything flourishing. It looks as if you were expecting your master to show up tomorrow!” “Oh, no,” said the old man, “I’m expecting him to come today! He may very well be here at any moment, and so I must be ready with everything in order.” This is what it means to live in the light of Christ’s imminent return. Jesus also mentions that when he comes again his reward will be with him. Some Christians mistakenly see working for the Lord in the hope of gaining rewards as something unspiritual, even carnal. Yet, in Matthew 6:20, the Lord Jesus encouraged storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth, highlighting the wisdom of laying up for oneself heavenly rewards which are imperishable and eternal. Many years ago, when I first gave my heart to Christ and began attending church regularly, I encountered a profound little poem taped to the door of a Sunday School room. Its words have since held a firm grip on my life. It read: “Everything in this life will soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.” Regrettably, many individuals have their priorities inverted. They invest all their energies and resources in the fleeting pursuits of this present life, forgetting that none of their possessions can be carried beyond. At best, these things are temporal. It’s only through our service to the Lord that we make investments in the eternal. Faithful and sacrificial investments in the Kingdom of God provide interest rates that are not only perpetual and enduring but are far greater than anything that might be attained in this life. On whose word do we have this promise of eternal reward? It is not based on the pledges of some highly acclaimed individuals like Elon Musk, Tim Cook, Jeff Bezos, or Mark Zuckerburg. The assurance given is not grounded on the authority of a government agency, or a financial, academic, or religious institution. No, their surety comes from him whose credentials are unmatched anywhere in the universe — the one who is the “Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (vs. 12). Again, there is a trinity of proclamations (Revelation 1:8; 1:11; 22:13): expressions of our Lord’s eternal nature, divine authority, and preeminence. The great truth revealed is that Christ is the central figure of Revelation and God’s entire redemptive plan (Isaiah 41:4; 44:6; 48:12; Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 13:8). Each in some manner expresses Christ’s deity. The proofs for the deity of Jesus are too voluminous to miss for anyone possessing intellectual honesty. Counted among them would be his miracles, his fulfillment of prophecies, his wisdom, insight, and moral teachings, his claims to be the Messiah, his acceptance of worship, his bodily resurrection from the dead, his impact on history, and the millions of people who have testified to being transformed by his message and presence. As the evangelist of yesteryear, William Biederwolf once claimed: “A man who can read the New Testament and not see that Christ claims to be more than a man, can look all over the sky at high noon on a cloudless day and not see the sun.” The conclusion is clear: Jesus is God. No one in human history compares to Him, because He isn’t just a man. The King James Version is a wonderful and blessed translation. It translates verse “Blessed are they that do his commandments.” Nevertheless, this can be confusing for some people because it isn’t by our works, or by commandment-keeping that we attain or earn the right to the Tree of Life. In Titus 3:5, the apostle Paul writes: “He [Christ] saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.” Other translations such as the New International Version, the English Standard Version, the New American Standard Bible, the Revised Standard Version, and the New Living Translation, all translate the verse: “Blessed are those who wash their robes.” The passage is a reference to being washed in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb of God. The point being emphasized is our own responsibility in the experience of salvation. What Christ has done for the redemption of humanity, his life, death, and resurrection, must be personally applied. Salvation is not simply a mental assent to certain facts about Jesus. One can be filthy and unfit to sit at the dinner table and know everything about how soap and water cleanses, but unless that person applies the soap and water and washes, they will never be clean. Those who would partake of the Tree of Life and enter through the gates of God’s eternal city must choose to throw themselves entirely upon the grace of God in Christ. There is no other way (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). They must receive Christ, believe on Him from the heart, personally turn to him for forgiveness, and experience his life-altering power, which empowers one to desire and love God’s commandments. No others will get into Heaven, everyone else will be left outside of the city. This strong warning is reminiscent of the multitudes that heard Noah, a preacher of righteousness. God spared Noah and his family from his coming wrath, but the unbelieving who mocked the message were left outside of the Ark (A Type of Christ) and perished in God’s judgment of the great flood (2 Peter 2:5). In a parable, Jesus compared the Kingdom of Heaven to 10 virgins waiting for the arrival of the bridegroom. When the bridegroom arrived, those who were prepared entered into the wedding feast, but the foolish virgins who were unprepared were shut out (Matthew 25:10-12). The list of those barred from the Tree of Life and the city is said to be, “the dogs – the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, murderers, idolators, and those who love to live a lie” (vs. 15). This is not meant to be understood as an exhaustive list, but to broadly characterize the masses who are damned.
These words are absolutely true and unchangeable. Some will scoff at them but every word will come to pass. They will come to pass because the One who said them is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, and his word never fails. How wondrously happy are those whose garments have been cleansed in the blood of the Lamb; they will find passage through the gates of the radiant city of light and joyously celebrate together their right to partake of the Tree of Life’s miraculous properties of immortality. The earnest anticipation of Christ’s return instills unwavering trust. Believing and obeying the prophecies of Revelation fosters a simple and steadfast faith and serves as a stabilizing force amid life’s worst circumstances. Better still, it inspires a profound hope, as stated in I John 3:3, that compels the followers of Jesus to purify themselves in emulation of their Savior. Aspiring to reflect the Lord’s image is the ultimate aspiration for those eagerly awaiting his return. “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all according to their deeds,” says Jesus. It’s impossible to know exactly when the Lord Jesus will come again, but we can know with complete certainty that he will return. Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 37 reaffirm Revelation chapter 22, verses 12 through 15: “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay” (Hebrews 10:37). Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Biden’s policies against Israel - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com The Biden Administration’s abstention allowing the UN Security Council Resolution 2728 to pass already is having ramifications on both the US and Israel. These are both spiritual and physical. For example, within hours after the US betrayed Israel with the UN abstention, a major disaster occurred when the Francis Scott Key Bridge to the Baltimore Harbor collapsed after a freighter hit it. Bolstered by the UN resolution, the terrorist group Hamas, who started the war against Israel, upped its demands for a ceasefire for hostages deal. Israel withdrew from the negotiations. How is it that the UN Security Council, mostly comprised of enemies of Israel can determine what’s best for the security of that nation? Resolution 2728 demanded an “immediate ceasefire for the month of Ramadan respected by all parties leading to a lasting sustainable ceasefire, and also demands the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, as well as ensuring humanitarian access to address their medical and other humanitarian needs, and further demands that the parties comply with their obligations under international law in relation to all persons they detain.” In other words, the UN predicated a ceasefire on the Islamic holiday of Ramadan and demanded that Israel submit to the holiday with a ceasefire. Notwithstanding, the Hamas terrorists violated the resolution by increasing their conditions for releasing hostages, which included Israel releasing convicted terrorists and murderers from prison. In his book “Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel,” author and friend Bill Koenig draws the correlation that when the United States takes action to pressure Israel to divide her land major natural, economic or political disaster follows within 24-48 hours. He documents this phenomena over the last 30 years. It is irrefutable. When you consider what has happened in Israel in the Hamas attack and all the subsequent violence here in the US driven by hate for Jews and Israel, the actions of Joe Biden favoring the terrorists against Israel have taken their toll in so many ways. His pressure in November 2023, a month after the Hamas terror attack, suggesting the restoration of control of Gaza to the terrorist-backed Palestinian Authority was followed by violence and demonstrations by pro-terrorists against Jews. Now the Baltimore bridge. God tells Abram in Genesis 12:2-3, “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall families of the earth be blessed.” And so throughout history those who blessed Israel were blessed and those who cursed Israel were cursed. This promise is one that can be traced throughout not only the texts of the Bible, but also through the texts of historical accounts written by many across the ages. From the empire of Babylon to the Roman Empire to Nazi Germany, those who blessed Israel and its people were blessed and those who cursed them were cursed. Biden’s relentless policies supporting terrorists while giving lip service to supporting Israel is…say it with me…Stupidocrisy. Daily Devotion: Truth Incarnate - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Then the entire council took Jesus to Pilate, the Roman governor. —Luke 23:1 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/truth-incarnate/ - Listen Pontius Pilate was accustomed to people lying. But he wasn’t used to someone being silent. As Jesus stood before him, He professed neither guilt nor innocence. Pilate said to Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?” (Luke 23:3 NLT). He might have even emphasized the word “you.” From his standpoint, here was another criminal, another problem. But the reply Jesus gave surprised this hardened Roman governor: “You have said it” (verse 3 NLT). John’s Gospel tells us that Jesus also said, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?” (18:34 NLT). No one spoke to Pilate that way. But Jesus exhibited calm in the midst of this storm, and Pilate had never seen anything like it. Then Jesus said, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true” (verse 37 NLT). Pilate asked, “What is truth?” (verse 38 NLT). Maybe he even thought, “This prisoner who is going to die shortly has the audacity to speak to me about truth?” He was a pagan. He had no core beliefs except self-preservation. Today, he would be a moral relativist or postmodernist, holding to the belief that truth is a matter of subjective opinion. In fact, more than 60 percent of Americans don’t believe there is such a thing as absolute truth. Yet standing before Pontius Pilate that day was truth incarnate. Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6 NLT). Truth became a man, and there He stood. Yet Pilate asked, “What is truth?” If Pilate had pressed the matter, he could have found the answers to all his questions. He had a private audience with Jesus Himself. But what did Pilate do? He left the room. That is the case with a lot of people when you confront them with the gospel. They don’t want to talk about it. They’ll change the subject. They’ll leave the room. Or, maybe they’ll barrage you with tough questions. They will do anything but listen carefully to what you’re saying because they’re under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We can allow indecision to rule our lives as Pilate did. A while back, I was talking with someone after a church service who indicated to me that she wasn’t yet a believer. I asked her what was holding her back. “Well, I’m afraid,” she said. But she couldn’t tell me what exactly she was afraid of. “Quite frankly, you should be afraid of life outside of Christ, not life in Christ,” I told her. “Jesus offers you safety and security and fulfillment and protection. It is life apart from Him that you should be afraid of.” Many times, we can be undecided. However, there’s an element of faith required to believe in Jesus. You won’t necessarily have it all worked out in your mind. But if you will say, “Lord, I choose to believe,” then God will help you in that step you take. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned.
