The Burdensome Stone of Jerusalem: Does the Current War in Israel Fulfill Bible Prophecy? – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-burdensome-stone-of-jerusalem-does-the-current-war-in-israel-fulfill-bible-prophecy/
Many are asking if the current war in Israel is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. While there are many possible prophetic developments that could come from this, there is one area where the answer is a definitive “Yes!” Zechariah 12:1-3 KJV – “The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” While this will reach its ultimate fulfillment during the tribulation, there is no question that Jerusalem is a heavy stone to the world today. The word implies an intoxicating burden, and no matter which side a nation is on, the world is intoxicated with Jerusalem (“intoxicated” in this context means “overly consumed”). The Bible makes it clear that the last days began when Jesus walked the earth (Hebrews 1:2), and if they began 2000 years ago we are certainly in the last seconds of the last days as we watch the world unravel as Jerusalem takes center stage on a global scale. Not only do we see the world focused on Jerusalem but we also see the coalition of the Ezekiel war forming and three of the five nations poised to strike from the north. Russia, Turkey, and Iran all have military equipment and personnel on the northern border of Israel in Syria. Libya and Sudan have relationships with Russia and Turkey and share the same religious ideology as Iran. Yet when we consider all this we must remember that should this current war be the path that leads to the Ezekiel war, this will not end well for those who fight against Israel. Ezekiel 39:1-8 KJV – “Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the Lord. So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel. Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord God; this is the day whereof I have spoken.” The Jews are the chosen people of God. Israel is the land God gave to His chosen people. God scattered them among the nations for their rebellion and He gathered them back into the land for His name’s sake and glory (Ezekiel 36:22). He will fight for them. He will get the victory and, thus, He will get the glory. And the world will know He is the Lord. It is coming, and current events could be leading up to it. Either way it is clear that time is short. The church age is near its end and Jesus is coming for His bride soon. 1 Peter 4:7-8 KJV – “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” It is time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for many to come to faith in Christ, for the end of all things is at hand. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus. Gog-Magog and Rapture – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2023/10/23/gog-magog-and-rapture/ There is much questioning, speculation, and worry about exactly what the ghastly attack on Israel by Hamas means in terms of Bible prophecy. What it all means with regard to the Rapture seems the prime focus of concern. Is this the beginning of the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39? Is the assault the beginning of a Psalm 83 war? And, added to the subject is the question of Isaiah 17:1. Will Damascus meet its total destruction as part of things about to unfold, since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others within the IDF and Israeli defense officials have vowed immense retaliation? I certainly don’t have the answers—at not least from a 100-percent knowledgeable perspective. But we can definitely postulate a bit based upon a studied view of God’s Word that involves future fulfillment of prophecy. We who believe in dispensational truth and accept the premillennial, pre-Trib view of things to come know that what’s happening is not coincidental. It all points to exactly where things should be if the world is at the very end of the Church Age, or Age of Grace. We also have a number of other signals pointing to the end of this dispensation—signals that the stage is being set for fulfillment of prophecies about what will immediately precede Christ’s Second Advent:
So, while things are coming together in the Middle East—surrounding and totally involving God’s chosen nation—thrown into the milieu of developments is every other prophetic indicator for the wrap-up of history just prior to Christ’s Second Coming. All ingredients for Daniel’s seventieth week are shaping up for the time Jesus said will be the worst ever (Matthew 24:21). All of this considered, my own thinking about developments in this ongoing devastation in Gaza is governed by Jesus’ prophetic statement that I believe is perhaps the most important involving matters leading to the Tribulation (Daniel’s seventieth week): The Lord’s words that all things will be like they were in the days of Lot (Luke 17:28–30). By this, I mean that when an event as devastating as the destruction of all of Israel’s enemies takes place, all semblance of “business as usual” will be out the window. The world will change spectacularly for the worse during that destruction and all that will follow, according to Daniel 9:26–27. Seven years of hell on earth will begin to rage, and all “business as usual” will be lost in the chaos. So, while the things we see developing now are profoundly troubling, the end is “not yet”—as Jesus put it in His Olivet Discourse. There remain wars and rumors of war leading to the final dispensational era called the “Great Tribulation” or the “time of Jacob’s trouble”—the last three and a half years of Daniel’s seventieth week. I’m convinced that although we believers might be here to see considerable war-making, we won’t be on earth to witness the end of the things we see going on now in the land that’s destined to host the Gog-Magog war and Armageddon. Like Lot and his daughters, we will be taken (the Greek word paralambano) by force from this sphere slated for God’s judgment. The “force” that snatches believers from the hour of God’s wrath will be our Savior’s call: “Come up here!” Here yet again is how to hear that call: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10) Prophecy Update Videos Must Watch Videos! Videos You Can Trust

In the first instance, we must recognise that terror groups like Hamas are being led and used by Satan in his desire to destroy the Jewish people. Secondly, we know that radical Islam has a burning hatred for the Jewish people, the Jewish state and for all who support them. But there is also a third and often overlooked reason that men and women are able to overcome their God-given conscience and commit unspeakable acts against another human being. The Bible refers to it, in the Greek, as pharmakeia. In Galatians 5:19-21 we read: “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Our English word “sorcery” is the Greek word “pharmakeia”. We also see the same term used twice in the Book of Revelation. Firstly, Revelation 9:21: “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.” Then, in Revelation 18:23: “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.” When most people think of the word “sorcery,” what comes to mind is witchcraft, supernatural powers, and spells. However, the Biblical use of “pharmakeia” does not fit well with such ideas, and this is why it is important to understand cultural and Biblical context when studying certain passages. Ancient Greeks used words like “pharmakeia” to refer to an entire spectrum of drugs, from medicines to psychoactives to poisons. Therefore, in the passages quoted, the term more so suggests various forms of drug abuse, particularly that which is used in pagan worship or as a poison to manipulate and control others. In fact, in the Galatians passage quoted above, the order in which Paul lists the various works of the flesh may be very telling. He begins with sexual sin before moving on to idolatry, sorcery, division, drunkenness, and debauchery. His reference to “pharmakeia” is grouped closer to idolatry and sexuality than it is to drunkenness, which may suggest that the use of illicit drugs was common in ungodly spiritual and sexual practices. According to historians, references to drug taking in the ancient world do exist, but they are few and far between. Where they do appear, drugs focus on medicinal and religious aspects, while seeming to avoid any reference to recreational use as is common today. There were more than a dozen ways of altering reality in the ancient world of the Mediterranean region but two drugs often dominated the scene – opium and hemp. And much like we experience today, the ancient world also seemed to have an extensive drug distribution network. In fact, ancient jars and capsules which have been analysed by scientists reveal that they contained opium and other psychoactive substances which were scattered throughout the Levant, Egypt and the Middle East. By 440 B.C., Greek historian Herodotus was telling readers that Scythians would burn hemp seeds, inhale the smoke, and turn very, very happy in short order. While those plants started as wild strains with relatively low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC – the chemical compound in cannabis that produces a high), further strains appear to have been cultivated for deliberately higher concentrations of THC. By the time of the Roman Empire, they used an opium-based drink called “cretic wine” as a sleep aid. In Mesoamerican history, people also used a wide array of consciousness-altering drugs for both medicinal and ritual purposes. For Mayan worshippers in the period around 250 B.C. to A.D. 900, that meant downing a drink known as balché, a low-alcohol honey-sweetened beverage that also contained the hallucinogen ergine. Balché may have also been consumed with other psychoactive drugs, including plant-derived alkaloids that would have created more intense hallucinations. Combined with the fact that rituals could take place in underground caves with repetitive music and fasting, worshippers could have attained dramatically altered states. Fast forward to the recent terrorist attack in southern Israel and we watched in horror as hordes of men pored over the border with a single intention – kill and kidnap Jews. Now, whilst we know they were inspired by a demonic hatred which is borne from Satan himself, The Jerusalem Post recently reported that Hamas terrorists were found to be under the influence of Captagon, a synthetic amphetamine-type stimulant. Even many of the dead terrorists were found to still have scores of pills in their pockets. This drug, known as “cocaine for the poor” allowed the terrorists to commit such heinous acts with a sense of indifference. At the same time, it kept them highly alert for extended periods, while also acting as an appetite suppressant. In poorer countries, the drug may be purchased for a dollar or two, while in wealthier nations, it may cost up to $20 per pill. In fact, it is reported that Captagon has now become a major source of income for Syria and is actively supported by Israel’s enemy in the north: Hezbollah. So lucrative is this trade that profits generated from the sale of Captagon exceed those of Syria’s legitimate exports. In 2020 alone it is estimated that exports of Captagon reached $3.5 billion! Captagon was first manufactured in 1961 as an alternative to amphetamine and methamphetamine used at the time to treat narcolepsy, fatigue and the behavioural disorder “minimal brain dysfunction.” Dexamphetamine was reportedly being used in the military of some countries to enable soldiers to stay awake for long periods of time and to “enhance courage and bravado.” Captagon was supposed to be a milder version of these medicines. But by the 1980’s the US government declared it a controlled substance with no currently accepted medical use, leading to manufacturing of the drug being halted in the 1980’s. However, it is extremely popular in the Middle East and was used extensively by another terrorist group we are all familiar with: ISIS. However, the version used by ISIS (and probably Hamas) is far more potent than the Captagon of the 1980’s. This “new age” Captagon affects the brain circuitry of the user leading to irreversible changes in the brain that govern impulse control and judgement, therefore taking away a person’s ability to reason or think rationally. How sad it is to think that a legitimate drug used to treat medical conditions has become known as the “drug of Jihad”. It not only produces soldiers with no fear or conscience, but also funds their activities with billions of dollars from sales. So, not only must Israel fight a kinetic and cyber war, it must also find ways to stop the drug which fuels and funds these terrorists since counterfeit versions of the drug are primarily produced in Syria and Lebanon. But although production is primarily centred in those countries, the largest consumers of the drug are located in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states like the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain, with evidence of the drugs also making their way to Libya and Sudan. What is most concerning for any soldier on the battlefield is that Captagon can keep an enemy fighter on their feet for days without taking a break. Lebanese psychiatrist, Ramzi Haddad, explained that after taking Captagon, “you’re talkative, you don’t sleep, you don’t eat, you’re energetic.” A Syrian police officer recounted his experience when dealing with anti-government protestors: “We would beat them, and they wouldn’t feel the pain. Many of them would laugh while we were dealing them heavy blows. We would leave the prisoners for about 48 hours without questioning them while the effects of Captagon wore off, and then interrogation would become easier.” To quote Revelation 18:23 again, “for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.” In the modern day, pharmakeia is associated with false worship, with the funding of terrorism, with the act of terrorism and with the deception of the nations. But if we think this is bad, during the Tribulation Period it is only going to get worse. For it will be the sorcery of Babylon. Words That Give Us Hope Amid the Perils of Our Day – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config/2023/10/20/words-of-hope-for-perilous-days I love reading the book Proverbs, one chapter a day corresponding to the day of the month. This has been a part of my morning quiet times for many years. Even though the passages are familiar with many verses underlined, the Lord often provides new insights. One truth that He repeatedly impresses on my heart is this: His wisdom comes to us via the words recorded on the pages of Scripture. There’s an unmistakable connection between Proverbs 2:6 and 2 Timothy 3:16. The latter literally reads, “All Scripture is breathed out by God” while Solomon wrote, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” It’s the words of wisdom, personified in the person of Jesus, which communicate truths to us through what we read in God’s Word. Whether it’s the Gospel or any other belief, we depend upon the words of Scripture for truth rather than our own intuition or reasoning. “Why restate such an obvious truth?” one might ask. I do so because many believers do not understand how the words of Scripture relate to the perils we face today as our world teeters on the brink of a devastating war. At a time when pastors should be providing a biblical context for what’s happening in Israel and encouraging their flock with the hope of Jesus’ appearing, many remain woefully silent. The sad result is that a great many saints remain unprepared for what might happen next. They never hear how the signs of the approaching Tribulation signal the nearness of Jesus’ appearing to take them home to glory. As a major war in the Middle East appears increasingly inevitable, believers not only need to understand its prophetic context, but also its implications for their future. The various false teachings that have arisen because of the wide acceptance of amillennialism have obscured the following truths needed to understand the perils of the world in which we live. THE WAR BETWEEN ISRAEL AND HAMAS IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER Those who don’t understand or believe God’s promises to Israel might think that the expanding conflict in the Middle East is just like any other war, such as the one in Ukraine. “Yes, the savagery of the Iran proxy Hamas was grievous and heart-wrenching,” someone might say, “but the resulting war has no ramification for believers today.” Such sentiment couldn’t be further from the truth. This war is not like the others. The prophetic implications of what’s now happening to Israel are staggering. We also know that this is just the beginning of Israel’s struggle for survival, which will likely last until the start of the seven-year tribulation and then flareup again at its midpoint as Satan renews his hatred for the Jewish people with the deadly rage of antichrist. Satan inspired the barbaric attacks of October 7, 2023, as a part of his agenda to prevent Jesus from returning to a repentant Israel at His Second Coming. Jesus said the Jewish community in Jerusalem would someday welcome Him with the words, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” (Matthew 23:39). The devil will fail, of course, in his effort to stop the fulfillment of our Lord’s words, but that won’t stop him from attempting to stop his millennial reign over a fully restored Israel. This isn’t just another war. It not only has tremendous prophetic significance, but also warns us of what might happen in many other places, including the U.S. IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari recently stated that “Hamas is at war against humanity, not just Israel.” Pastor Brandon Holthaus, in his October 15, 2023, sermon, said that in reality, “Israel is fighting for us.” I took his words to imply that if Israel’s war against Gaza fails to eliminate the Hamas threat, it will embolden these barbaric terrorists to conduct similar atrocities in America and other places. We must pray for Israel, its people, and its war effort. THE LAND BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL A second false belief that arises from not allowing the words of Scripture speak for themselves is the teaching that the Land no longer belongs to the people of Israel and hence the “Palestinians” have just as much of a right to it. That is not what God’s Word tells us. The Bible says that God’s promise of the Land to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is an “everlasting covenant” (1 Chronicles 16:14-18; Psalm 105:7-11). If the word “everlasting” has a finite time limit on it such that it has now expired, what does that imply for those of us who trust God’s promise of “eternal life?” Furthermore, the initial promise of the Land to Abram was completely unconditional; God alone pledged to fulfill this covenant while the Patriarch slept (Genesis 15:12-21). Israel’s continued enjoyment of the Land has always been conditional, but not their ultimate right to it, which the Lord guarantees. Taken at face value, the message of the Old Testament prophets is clear: the Land still belongs to Israel and nations that seek to divide it will suffer greatly as a result of God’s wrath. THE JEWS REMAIN GOD’S SPECIAL CHOSEN PEOPLE Amillennialists assert that the descendants of Jacob are no longer God’s chosen people. They mistakenly claim that the church is now the Lord’s kingdom on earth and the recipient of His promises to Israel, albeit in a spiritual sense. This is not what the Bible teaches us. Furthermore, such teaching, over time, breeds anti-Semitism or at a minimum, ambivalence for fate of the Jewish people. Always. Augustine, the theologian who popularized the amillennial denial of a future kingdom for Israel, was motivated by his hatred for the Jews. This same spiteful attitude kept both Luther and Calvin from applying their principles of the literal interpretation of Scripture to unfulfilled prophecy. As a result, church history is full of tragic examples of how amillennialism fueled murderous hatred for the Jews. Churches in denominations that have long embraced the various forms of amillennialism are now rallying in support of the Palestinian cause while seeming to ignore Hamas’ barbarism. They overlook the fact that those now attacking Israel don’t want peace, but rather the annihilation of God’s special chosen people. GOD WILL JUDGE THE WICKEDNESS OF THE NATIONS IN THIS LIFE I have noticed a confusing pattern among amillennial pastors in the U.S. Along with denying what the Bible says about the Tribulation and the signs of its approach, they also appear oblivious to God’s impending judgment on America. The same veil that keeps many from recognizing the convergence of signs also blinds them to the biblical warnings that reveal God’s intention to judge the nations for their wickedness. I hear it in their preaching and read it in their church’s statements of faith. It’s always the same message, which says the next time the Lord directly intervenes in human history will be at His Second Coming just prior to the eternal state. By pushing all judgment to the end of the age, they fail to recognize or believe the repeated warnings concerning the Day of the Lord wrath. God will punish the wickedness of the U.S. and other nations long before the end of the age. As shepherds of God’s people, today’s church leaders have a solemn responsibility to provide the saints with an understanding of how today’s world relates to the end times as well as to encourage them with the glory that awaits them at Jesus’ appearing (1 Corinthians 15:47-54, Philippians 3:20-21; Colossians 3:4). These passage clearly reveal that Jesus will give us immortal and incorruptible bodies at His appearing. Confidence in our glorious hope comes from believing the words the Holy Spirit inspired the Apostle Paul to write concerning the Rapture. Sadly, most believers in the U.S. remain unprepared for what might happen in the near future and unaware that God will surely judge our nation for its intent to divide the Land of Israel as well as for its financial support of those that seek to destroy the Jewish people. Just this past week our president rewarded Hamas by pledging to send them one hundred million dollars. There are many, many reasons why I reject amillennialism and the spiritualization, or allegorization, of Scripture upon which it’s based. Proverbs 2, 4, and 8-9 may not be at the top of that list, but for me they confirm that we must take the words of Scripture in the way that the authors intended. Although it’s been quite costly to me personally, I must continue to speak out against the retrofitting of the words of Scripture to fit a human-based agenda that falsely asserts that Israel no longer has a place in God’s prophetic agenda. This is human wisdom than the understanding that comes from believing the words of prophecy throughout both the Old and New Testament. The words of Scripture provide the prophetic context for what’s happening in Israel. It’s message assures us of the following:
Our “blessed hope” (Titus 2:11-14) is not some far off wrap up of human history that denies what the Bible says about all the intervening events such as the Rapture, Tribulation, and Jesus’ thousand-year reign over the nation upon the throne of David. No, it consists of the sure hope that our Lord’s intervention in human history via the Rapture, which will surely happen as Jesus will take us to His Father’s house in glorified bodies. Maranatha! Come soon, Lord Jesus! Daily Jot: A president of Contradictions - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Joe Biden’s Thursday night speech on Israel and Ukraine was hard to watch. Biden, hardly looking presidential, squinted into the teleprompter, struggled to form his words, often slurred his speech, and didn’t appear confident about what he was trying to sell not only the American public, but also the rest of the world. There is not an evil genius in the world—Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin to Iran’s Ayatollah to Turkey’s Erdogan to China’s communist leaders—who could miss the weak state of the American presidency. Biden’s speech was full of contradictions and flawed logic, an unfortunate state of affairs sending mixed signals to both allies and enemies. Biden’s foreign and domestic policy are disastrous. Biden spent 25 words on the devastation by Hamas on innocent Israeli citizens, saying, “More than 1,300 people slaughtered in Israel, including at least 32 American citizens. Scores of innocents–from infants to elderly grandparents, Israelis, Americans–taken hostage.” He then spent 92 words on how bad the terrorist attack by Hamas must have affected the innocent “Palestinians,” saying, “I also spoke with President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority and reiterated that the United States remains committed to the Palestinian people’s right to dignity and to self-determination. The actions of Hamas terrorists don’t take that right away. Like so many others, I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of Palestinian life, including the explosion at a hospital in Gaza–which was not done by the Israelis. We mourn every innocent life lost. We can’t ignore the humanity of innocent Palestinians who only want to live in peace and have an opportunity.” Biden said, “Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people. Hamas uses Palestinian civilians as human shields, and innocent Palestinian families are suffering greatly because of them.” But Hamas does represent the “Palestinian” people—they elected Hamas to rule Gaza. Biden said, “We cannot give up on a two-state solution” because Israel and Palestinians deserve to live in safety, dignity and peace. Biden apparently is ignoring the very fact that Gaza was the template for a two-state solution and it has been attacking Israel and raining missiles on Israeli civilians since it was given to the “Palestinians.” Biden went on a diatribe about how American Jews feel threatened by antisemitism, and Muslims by Islamophobia. But let’s be clear, Islam is the aggressor. Islam attacks in the name of allah. We rarely see representatives of Islam denouncing attacks on Israel or on Jews. Then Biden wants to send billions of your and my money to Ukraine to fund its war with Russia. And we have to wonder: how much of that money will go into the Biden family coffers? We have a mess on our hands with this Administration. As is written in Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Ashes and sackcloth—we clearly have a president of contradictions. Sources: (Here) Daily Devotion: The Way We Look at Things - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. —2 Timothy 3:1 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/the-way-we-look-at-things/ - Listen C.S. Lewis said, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the Sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”[1] A Christian worldview will affect the way that we see everything. And why is this important? Because we are living in the last days. Jesus Christ is coming back again. And if ever there was a time when we need to know our Bibles and have a close walk with Christ, the time is now. Describing the end times, the apostle Paul said, “In the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control” (2 Timothy 3:1–3 NLT). Paul went on to say, “They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly” (verses 3–5 NLT). Is that not an accurate assessment of the times in which we are living? The United States has never been more spiritual yet more immoral. We throw the word spiritual around a lot. But do we know what it means? We live in an age when we can write our own apps and customize our home screens. We can keep the stuff we like and throw out the things we don’t. And we carry that thinking into other aspects of our lives. The result is something called moral relativism. Moral relativism is the belief that there are no absolutes. There is no right or wrong. Moral relativism teaches that we are all products of the evolutionary process and not made by a Creator God. There is no devil. There is no good or evil. And there is no plan or purpose for our lives. Moral relativism also teaches that we are all basically good, and if we happen to go bad, then it’s because we’re simply products of our environment. It teaches that we make our own truth. For instance, if you believe in a God of love, forgiveness, and mercy, you can keep that. But if you’re offended by the biblical teaching of a God of holiness, righteousness, and judgment, you can delete that. It works out perfectly. Or so it seems. Moral relativism may sound fine in theory. But what if we were to put it into practice? Will a god of our own making be able to save us in the final day? Of course not. A biblical worldview says there is a God as revealed in the Bible, and the Bible alone is the authority and source of that belief. It is not what we feel or what is popular, acceptable, or perceived as cool. It is what the Bible says. What on earth are you doing for Heaven's Sake? "Share in the Blessings and Rewards that will last Forever!" "Folks, it's all beginning to unravel. America is in more danger of falling than at any time in its history. But I believe Bible prophecy predicts this very decline. From this point on, we believers have to get serious. We are going to face discouragement, disillusionment and, most certainly, persecution in the time between now and the Rapture. But don't be discouraged or disillusioned. The coming turmoil will provide us unrivaled opportunities to share the good news of the Gospel. So be ready to share your faith and your hope with those who need Christ. We still have time to reap a great harvest of souls for God's kingdom!" - Hal Lindsey 1) We need your prayers!- We proclaim the Truth of the Word of God and we are under constant spiritual and sometimes even physical attack. 2) We need your encouragement!- We need to hear from you, let us know how the Lord is blessing you through this ministry so that we can share it with others. 3) We need your input! - If you have a prophetic article or story or if there is a news related item we missed, let us know. 4) We need your financial support!- To put it quite simply, without your support, there would be no Prophecy Update. I ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering with us to get the Word out and keep the world informed. Remember, your gift, no matter how small, does make a difference! You will be helping to touch lives, around the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to the internet your generosity carries a global impact! - Thanks! Our Prayer for You- "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." 2 Corinthians 9:10-13 If you have been blessed by Prophecy Update and would like to help support this ministry financially.
