Prophetic Showdown? - Netanyahu Tells World Leaders Israel Will Make Its ‘Own Decisions’ Responding To Iran – By Breanna Claussen - https://harbingersdaily.com/prophetic-showdown-netanyahu-tells-world-leaders-israel-will-make-its-own-decisions-responding-to-iran/ As the nations of the world actively seek to temper Israel’s response to Sunday’s large-scale drone and missile attack by Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made clear that the Jewish State will make their “own decisions” in defense of their country. Shortly following meetings with British and German Foreign Ministers, the Israeli leader on Wednesday stressed that foreign powers would not make the decision surrounding Israel’s next steps in dealing with the Iranian regime. “I thank our friends for their support in defending Israel, and I say support in words and deeds,” Netanyahu stated. “They [world leaders] have also all types of suggestions and advice. I appreciate it, but I want to make clear that we will make our own decisions, and the State of Israel will do all that is needed to defend itself.” Early Sunday morning Israel-time, the Iranian regime commenced an attack on Israel, which included over three hundred suicide drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles fired from Iran soil. 99% of the airborne projectiles were intercepted prior to reaching the Jewish State, with the US, UK, France, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia also taking part in shooting down the weapons. At an annual army parade speech on Wednesday, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi warned that the “slightest action” by Israel in retaliation will be “met with a severe, extensive and painful response.” Iran asserted that their attack was conducted in retaliation for an alleged Israeli airstrike on their consulate in Syria in which twelve individuals were killed, including an IRGC general reportedly involved in the “planning and execution” of Hamas’ brutal massacre of Israelis on October 7th. Since the beginning of the war, Israel has vowed to target and eliminate all terrorists involved in the massacre, no matter their current location. Many have attributed the Iranian regime as responsible for the murderous rampage—which their terror proxy, Hamas, carried out. The most recent country to lambast Iran’s involvement was Saudi Arabia, who insisted earlier this week that Iran strategically timed October 7th to thwart their normalization with Israel. Sunday’s attack by Iran was the first incident in which Tehran has targeted Israel from its soil, which is usually done by way of its proxies—Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and other terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria. Prior to Iran’s attempted “blitz,” Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz warned the regime that “If Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will react and attack in Iran.” On Sunday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the Iranian attack a “declaration of war” and said that Israel is “considering all options.” The United States, the European Union, and others have announced plans to sanction Iran, which The Globe and Mail highlighted is “seen as aimed at mollifying Israel and persuading it to rein in its retaliation.” Erick Stakelbeck, the host of “Stakelbeck Tonight” on Wednesday, asked Amir Tsarfati, Founder and President of Behold Israel, if he sees “any prophetic implications in the showdown right now between Israel and Iran.” “Absolutely,” Tsarfati responded. “As much as we would love to see the Ayatollah being toppled and have a much greater regime for the Iranian people—which, by the way, are people whom we love very much—the Bible is telling us that the war with Iran is far from being over,” he explained. “In fact, whether it is going to be defeated by Israel now or call it even, Iran will eventually join a coalition against Israel led by Russia. Lo and behold, we see already that Russia is siding with Iran, Turkey is siding with Iran, and they’re preparing their proxies in Libya and Sudan as well. These are exactly the countries that Ezekiel prophesied as the coalition that is going to come against Israel.” “The Middle East is all about interests, intrigues, and ‘my enemy’s enemy is my friend.’ Israel must be very ready for this Alliance, but you know, we’ll never be ready enough for an alliance of giants like Russia, Iran, and Turkey together,” he stressed. Stakelbeck further emphasized, “The Book of Ezekiel chapters 38-39 talks about God’s Divine hand, and it doesn’t end too well for that Ezekiel Invasion force.” According to Tsarfati, many Israelis have recognized the unlikely probability that 99% of Iran’s projectiles on Sunday were intercepted, attributing it to “divine intervention.” “If we’re seeing divine intervention already,” he stated, “you can imagine how the Israelis are going to be amazed when God shakes the Earth and throws things from the skies on the enemies of [the Jewish State] and defeats them on the mountains of Israel.” “There’s a great Exodus of Jewish people from secularism, hedonism, and materialism,” he described. “We’re at the point where only He can help us. God has always been there for us, and He always wanted us to be at the point where we call for His help and not rely on our own strength. ‘Some trust in horses, some in chariots, but we shall call upon the name of the Lord,’ as Psalm 20 says.” The UN Security Council Is About To Vote On A Palestinian State - by Michael Snyder - https://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/the-un-security-council-is-about-to-vote-on-a-palestinian-state/ Why are they being so quiet about this? On Friday, the UN Security Council will take a vote which will determine whether or not “the State of Palestine” will be granted full UN membership. If this vote is successful, that will formally create a Palestinian state that will have full recognition by the international community. So this is a really big deal. Algeria is the nation that has put this draft resolution forward, and it is scheduled for a vote at 3 PM Eastern time on Friday afternoon… The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to vote Friday on a Palestinian request for full U.N. membership, said diplomats, a move that Israel ally the United States is expected to block because it would effectively recognize a Palestinian state. The 15-member council is due to vote at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT) Friday on a draft resolution that recommends to the 193-member U.N. General Assembly that “the State of Palestine be admitted to membership of the United Nations,” diplomats said. It is being projected that 13 of the 15 members of the Security Council could vote in favor of this resolution, and so Israel is counting on the Biden administration to veto it… A council resolution needs at least nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the U.S., Britain, France, Russia or China to pass. Diplomats say the measure could have the support of up to 13 council members, which would force the U.S. to use its veto. Just think about this for a moment. The only thing standing in the way of a Palestinian state is Joe Biden. Of course he actually wants a Palestinian state to be established, but he wants it to happen as a result of peace negotiations. And after the current war in the Middle East is concluded, there will be an all-out push to achieve that goal. For now, the war in the Middle East is poised to go to a dangerous new level. Israel is preparing to retaliate against Iran, and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is promising that even the “slightest action” by Israel will provoke a “painful response”… Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has warned Israel it will face a “painful response” if it takes the “slightest action” in response to Iran’s unprecedented drone and missile barrage against the Jewish state over the weekend. Iran’s first-ever direct attack on Israel on the night of Saturday-Sunday came in response to an April 1 air strike on Tehran’s embassy compound in Damascus that has been widely blamed on Israel. So what would that “painful response” look like? Well, Raisi has also said that “nothing would remain from the Zionist regime” after Iran was finished… Raisi said Saturday’s attack was a limited one but that “nothing would remain from the Zionist regime,” should it escalate the current situation, the official IRNA news agency reported. What he is describing is all-out war. Right now, there are government billboards in Tehran which ominously declare that “Tel Aviv is our battleground”. The Iranians are known for their bold talk, but in this case I don’t think they are bluffing. I believe that they really will try to hammer Israel if there is any sort of an attack on Iranian soil, and one Iranian official is even warning that his nation is “prepared to use a weapon that we have never used”… But Iranian security chief Abolfazl Amouei last night warned that if Israel does respond then Tehran is “prepared to use a weapon that we have never used”. It is unclear what weapon Amouei was referring to, but he warned Israel to “act wisely” as it considers its next steps. There has been a lot of debate about how hard the Israelis should hit Iran. But the truth is that Iran is going to strike back really hard no matter what form the attack takes. And it appears that a decision has already been made. In fact, on Wednesday British Foreign Secretary David Cameron openly admitted that it is “clear the Israelis are making a decision to act”. During a visit to Israel, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said Wednesday that while Israel has clearly decided to retaliate against Iran, he and other diplomatic leaders hope Israel shows restraint in its action. He added that, through sanctions, Iran “needs to be given an unequivocal message” by the G7, a forum of advanced economies that includes the U.S., Japan, Germany, Britain, France, Canada and Italy. “It’s clear the Israelis are making a decision to act,” Cameron said in Jerusalem. “We hope they do so in a way that does as little to escalate this as possible.” After meeting with Cameron and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he appreciates their support and advice, but said Israel alone will decide how to protect itself and how to respond to the Iranian attack. I think that it is true. I think that the Israeli government has decided on a course of action. But at this point I have a hard time believing that something is imminent. Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are coming up very quickly, and virtually the entire nation of Israel shuts down to celebrate. The Israeli government knows that Iran will strike back really hard once an attack happens, and having Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread ruined by Iranian missiles would be very unpopular politically. So my guess is that any Israeli retaliation against Iran will be delayed until May. Of course I could be wrong. We shall see. Meanwhile, on the northern front Israel and Hezbollah continue to pummel one another. On Wednesday, mass casualties were caused when a Hezbollah drone hit a community center in northern Israel… Israeli emergency authorities are reporting that casualties from a suicide drone attack on a northern Israeli village have risen to at least 18 people wounded. Hezbollah took responsibility for launching the suicide drone which ultimately scored a direct hit on a community center, with Israeli media noting that air warning sirens failed to sound during the attack. However, Hezbollah claimed it was targeting a building used by the Israeli military. According to Times of Israel, “The victims were taken to Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. which said that one victim was listed in critical condition and two others were seriously wounded.” In response, the IDF conducted an airstrike in northeastern Lebanon… The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday that it carried out an airstrike against a site belonging to Hezbollah’s air defense unit in northeastern Lebanon’s Baalbek, hours after the terror group carried out an explosive drone attack on northern Israel, wounding 14 soldiers and four civilians, In a short statement, the IDF said fighter jets struck Hezbollah air defense infrastructure north of the city of Baalbek, almost 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Israeli border. It appears that it is just a matter of time before there is all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah. And we are also on the verge of seeing all-out war between Israel and Iran. The great Middle East conflict that I have been warning my readers about has arrived, and I believe that in the months ahead events will spiral completely out of control. Once thousands of missiles are flying back and forth, the opportunity for restraint will be gone. And at this absolutely critical moment in human history, Joe Biden and his minions are running things in the White House. We are in so much trouble. After Iran launched more than three hundred missiles and drones at Israel, here’s what we know today about Iran’s attack on Israel:
While the attack itself was not devastating, the New York Times reports that it “opened a volatile new chapter in the long-running shadow war between Iran and Israel.” Iran is about seventy-five times larger than the Jewish state; its population is nearly ten times larger. The two countries are more than a thousand miles apart. Israel has no intention of occupying Iranian land or subjugating its people. Why, then, is Iran at war with Israel? And why is this question so significant for America and the global future? BUILDING AN “AXIS OF RESISTANCE” There was a time when Iran and Israel were not enemies but allies. When Israel declared its independence in 1948, Iran was one of the first Muslim countries to recognize the new state. However, when Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini ousted Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in the 1979 Islamic revolution, he severed all diplomatic and commercial ties with Israel. Khomeini’s goals from the inception of the revolution were to liberate Iranians from “the evils of Western imperialism” and to export his version of political Islam. Over the years, Iran built what it calls an “axis of resistance” that includes Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Syrian regime and Shia militias in Syria, Houthi rebels in Yemen, militias in Iraq, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas in Gaza and the West Bank. Across the years, Iran has waged war on Israel through these proxies. Now it has launched an unprecedented direct attack on Israel from Iran itself. THE “LITTLE SATAN” AND THE “GREAT SATAN” Americans remember Ayatollah Khomeini because of the Iranian hostage crisis that ensued shortly after he came to power and are familiar with his successor, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, but most do not know the person who prepared the way for this revolution. Ali Shariati was a Western-educated intellectual who was inspired by Marxist anti-colonialist scholars. He divided the world into the oppressed (including Iran) and the oppressors (primarily the West) and framed a revolutionary ideology to oust the monarchy and “liberate” Iranians. He died before the 1979 revolution, but Khomeini capitalized on the popularity of his ideas. From then to now, Iran’s leaders have sought to export this linkage of Marxist “liberation” with radicalized Islam. Since Israel and the US are the primary obstacles to this vision, Khomeini termed them the “little Satan” and the “great Satan,” respectively. Add the eschatological conviction of Iran’s leaders that the Mahdi, their version of the Messiah, will appear to dominate the world for Islam only after the Muslim world destroys Israel, and you can see why Iran’s unprecedented escalation against Israel over the weekend is significant. “SO WE REMAIN IN DARKNESS” This conflict is not just military but spiritual. Iran’s leaders are being used by the evil one who “comes only to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10) as they strive to enact their deluded vision of the future through violent means. Jesus’ description fits them well: This is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come into the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God (John 3:19–21). This temptation to choose self-dependent darkness over Spirit-dependent light is not limited to Iran. Henri Nouwen commented: Jesus sees the evil in this world as a lack of trust in God’s love. He makes us see that we persistently fall back on ourselves, rely more on ourselves than on God, and are inclined more to love of self than to love of God. So we remain in darkness. If we walk in the light, then we are enabled to acknowledge that everything good, beautiful, and true comes from God and is offered to us in love. Now it falls to you and me to “walk in the light” and to share it as urgently as we can:
Jesus is still “the light of the world” (John 8:12, my emphasis). The brilliant Renaissance scholar Desiderius Erasmus was right: “Give light, and darkness will disappear of itself.” How will you “give light” today? Are Demons Real? - By Nathele Graham - [email protected] Do you believe Scripture? Any Christian who doesn’t believe God’s word from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21 can’t truly understand their faith. Every word is from God, and He doesn’t lie or deceive anybody. His truth is the only truth. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). There may be things that are hard to understand, but the fault is in us, not in Scripture. Most of us would like everything to be sunshine and roses, but Scripture prepares us to stand strong when things get tough. Satan is still the enemy. He is a created being and is pure evil, but many people don’t want to hear such things. We live in a time that many prophecies are being fulfilled. Because many Christians have turned from a strict understanding of Scripture, the Holy Spirit is ignored. Many pastors and denominations today won’t teach about the evil forces described in Scripture, but only teach about happy things that tickle ears. By not teaching all of Scripture, many Christians are ill-prepared for the supernatural and demonic manifestations happening. What do you believe about God? Is He a man-like being with a long white beard sitting in the heavenly realm? There is only one God, but He is three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. God exists outside of time as we know it and is in the spiritual realm. God the Son became flesh and took on the body of a man. The Father and Holy Spirit remain spirits. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). To worship God in the spirit means that outward things we do aren’t true worship. Going “to church” doesn’t mean you’re worshipping God in spirit. You may be fellowshipping there, but you may also just want people to see your car in the parking lot. True worship can happen anywhere and at any time. When you worship in truth, that means you worship according to the whole counsel of God’s word. You need to study Scripture in order to serve God on His terms. Taking the whole of God’s truth into consideration, we can see that there are evil spirits all around us. God has given a great effort to tell us there are demons and to save us from their power. Where did this evil begin? Clues in Genesis tell us that angels, created beings, were created before Genesis 1:1. Genesis gives us the true account of the creation of the earth and all that’s in it. In Job chapter 38, God is speaking to Job and asking him about the creation. “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding” (Job 38:4). No human was there to observe the creation, and anything contrary to Scripture is just fairytales. Since Scripture tells us God did it in 6 literal days, that’s truth. Believe it. God continued His conversation with Job; “Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner stone thereof; when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:6-7). Here’s where it’s important to understand the original words. “Morning stars” and “sons of God” refer to angels. They were there when the earth was created, so they had to have been created first. Scripture is about the age of man, so it doesn’t tell us about the creation of angels. Still, we know they shouted for joy at the creation. We know that when God saw His creation, He was very pleased with it. We also know that evil was already at work. It didn’t take long for sin to enter. Sin is when God tells us how to behave, but we don’t listen to His directions. In this case, God told Adam not to eat the forbidden fruit, and Adam should have made that clear to Eve. She chose to listen to a lying entity and eat the fruit. Scripture says the “serpent” deceived her. I encourage you to do your own study to see that this was Satan. Eve talked Adam into eating the fruit, and all of creation fell. Satan is pure evil and wants to separate all of humanity from God. After the fall, things continued to get worse. Cain murdered his brother Abel, and we can see the evil of anger. Paul wrote about anger and that a Christian shouldn’t allow anger to rule. “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:26-27). Anger is a tool of Satan. Anger causes much evil, and it was what caused Cain to murder Abel. Cain was angry because Abel chose to offer a sacrifice that pleased God. Cain gave God what was easy for him and not what honored God. Cain was angry, but God explained it to him. “If thou doest well, shall thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him” (Genesis 4:7). Sin ruled over Cain and caused his anger to grow and to murder his brother. Satan tempted Eve to sin, and he tempted Cain to sin. You can be tempted, too. Satan is unable to be everywhere at once. Only God can do that. Satan needed minions to help corrupt humanity, and he came up with a plan. He talked some of his fellow angels into rebelling against God. When that happened, sin became worse. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and they took them wives of all which they chose” (Genesis 6:1-2). Remember in Job, the “sons of God” shouted with joy at the creation? Sons of God are angels. The angels mated with humans, and a hybrid race was created called Nephilim. These creatures were part human and part angel, and they weren’t at all nice creatures. Unfortunately, this truth isn’t preached from most pulpits. This leads to many false teachings. God saw that Noah and his family were genetically pure, so they were saved from His judgment. Enoch was also genetically pure and was raptured prior to the judgment. Scripture doesn’t tell us where demons originated, but it’s my belief that they are the spirits of the Nephilim. Their spirits aren’t welcome in Heaven and wander in search of embodiment. Some people believe demons are the fallen angels. Study and come to your own conclusion. Either way, the fact remains demons are real and desire to possess people. How do I know demons are real and possess people? Scripture makes it clear. You may think demons only go after non-Christians. The Holy Spirit indwells Christians so we cannot be possessed, but we can be harassed by demons. An example is found in the book of Acts. Paul was on a missionary journey and traveled to the city of Philippi in Macedonia. “And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, and brought her masters much gain by soothsaying” (Acts 16:16). Paul and his companions were in prayer when this possessed woman began harassing them. She followed Paul and his friends around for days. “The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation” (Acts 16:17). Those words were true, but from this demon-possessed woman, they were meant to mock God. Could someone like this woman be a part of your congregation? Or maybe a television preacher who sounds as if he is praising God when, in fact, he’s mocking Him by living a lifestyle that is contrary to Scripture. Jesus warns us not to be deceived in these final days in which we live. Study Scripture so you’ll be able to discern truth from lies. Paul finally got tired of this woman following them. “And this did she many days. But Paul being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour” (Acts 16:18). The name of Jesus is powerful. There was no “holy water” used, nor any fancy words. All it took was the name of Jesus and faith. We are not at the mercy of demons but have the mercy of God with us. This got Paul beaten and thrown in prison. What was meant for evil, God used for good. The jailer in that city came to salvation. How can a person become demon-possessed? You must open a door and invite the demon to enter. Do you play with Ouija Boards? They aren’t just toys but an invitation to a demon. Drug use is another invitation to evil. When you numb your mind, you are unable to fight a demonic attack, and possession is easy. It’s not just street drugs that can open doors. Be very careful if you take any prescriptions that affect your thinking. Another way is to live lifestyles that are opposed to God. Yoga and meditation are also ways to open yourself up demons. No Christian should practice any form of meditation, except for meditating upon Scripture. “I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways” (Psalm 119:15). Keep your mind and heart turned toward Jesus. Jesus had many encounters with demons. Of course, those wicked spirits were no match for the King of kings and Lord of lords. Most people are aware of the demon-possessed man in the country of the Gadarenes. When Jesus arrived there, he was met by a man with an unclean spirit who made his home among tombs. He was a wild man who would break chains if anyone tried to bind him. “And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones” (Mark 5:5). Why would anybody do anything to open themselves up to this? When this possessed man saw Jesus, the demon inside him recognized Jesus and ran and worshipped Him. Jesus wasn’t flattered by the worship of demons. “For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion; for we are many” (Mark 5:8-9). The demon begged Jesus not to send him away, so Jesus allowed this legion of demons to enter a large herd of swine. These evil spirits wanted a body to dwell in, even if it was swine. Those poor pigs were so tormented that they ran down the mountain into the sea and drowned. Oddly enough, there were witnesses to this miracle, but they wanted Jesus to leave. Even though a man was healed from demon possession, they didn’t want Jesus around. The man wanted to go with Jesus, but Jesus told him to go to his home and friends and tell them what Jesus had done. Demons are real, but Jesus can set you free. There were many instances where Jesus dealt with demons. He never made a circus of it, but He spoke with authority. He is our authority. His name is powerful. Christians need to not be afraid to confront evil in the name of Jesus. Don’t let your faith waiver, but take authority in Jesus’ name. Are you prepared to confront a demon? The supernatural world is all around us. There is God, whose love and promises are so reassuring. But there’s also the evil supernatural. I hope I never have to confront this evil, but if I do, I know what I need for the spiritual battle: spiritual weapons. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Even if we feel as if our enemy is a human being, our fight isn’t against people, but we must fight the spiritual powers and principalities that are using the human. “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13). Notice that it’s God’s armor that you need. It isn’t by your own power, but God’s power. “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; and for me, that utterance may be given unto me that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak” (Ephesians 6:14-20). It all sounds so easy, but as you study each piece of God’s armor, really think about what each piece is used for. Don’t wait until you’re deep in a spiritual battle, but practice using the armor now. Become familiar with the gospel of peace before you face battle. How do you use the shield of faith? Figure that out before your faith is tested. Demons are real, and they will look for a hole in your armor to cause you to doubt your salvation and falter in battle. If you’re a pastor, you need to equip your flock for battle. The days are getting darker, and Christians need to be armed for battle. If your pastor doesn’t arm you for battle, arm yourself. Study Scripture and pray. Don’t wait. God will help you learn to fight the battle. Demons are real, so be prepared. The first step is placing your faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and being sealed with the Holy Spirit. Daily Jot: The delusion of Biden humanitarian aid to terrorists - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Out of one side of his mouth, Joe Biden says he supports Israel. On the other side of his mouth, Biden funds terrorists whose sole mission is the annihilation of Israel. This dualism undermines peace and threatens the security of every American and Israeli citizen. In less than a week, two Biden Administration officials gave opposite statements on use of US aid to Iran. A Deputy Treasury secretary said Iran uses all humanitarian aid for the military. A National Security Council advisor said the US is careful to make sure that none of the humanitarian aid to Iran is used by the military. This against the backdrop of report after report that Biden Administration humanitarian aid funds Hamas and Houthi terrorism. In an April 3 letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, 13 Senators led by Tim Scott (R-SC) expressed their concern that the Biden Administration’s decision to renew a waiver of Iranian sanctions would lead to more terrorist attacks. They wrote, “First, the waiver makes restricted Iranian funds more accessible to the Ayatollah’s regime, at a time when Iranian-backed aggression in the region is at a peak. Second, the administration appears to be disregarding congressional intent that any payments made to Iran remain severely restricted.” Then, at a Senate Banking Housing & Urban Affairs Committee hearing on April 9, Deputy Treasury Secretary Adewale Adeyemo admitted humanitarian aid to Iran goes “towards violent activity before they deal with their people.” Adeyemo said, “What we’ve seen time and time from the Iranian regime, is that they fail to feed their people and they put the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) first,” and that’s “partially why almost none of the humanitarian money has been used for humanitarian purposes, because they don’t care about getting drugs and food for their people. In Iran, they’ve proven that any dollar they get, that they have direct access to in the country, will be used for the IRGC before it’s ever used for their people.” But after the Iranian attack on Israel, National Security Council Communications Advisor John Kirby got into a snarky exchange with Fox News Reporter Peter Doocy, saying that no humanitarian aid to Iran goes toward terrorist activity. Doocy asked if Biden had any regrets unfreezing the $6 Billion to Iran now that Iran attacked Israel. Kirby replied that those funds “Can only be used for humanitarian purposes, and we’re watching that account very, very closely to make sure that that’s what happens.” Kirby, during the exchange when Doocy challenged him, said, “but you don’t believe me.” Nobody should believe him. The Biden Administration has sent billions in humanitarian aid to Hamas and the Houthis terrorist organizations knowing full well that it wasn’t used for humanitarian purposes. This is widely reported. In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul speaks of a time when people will reject the love of truth and in verse 11,”And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” There is strong delusion in our government and it has destruction in its wake. He had all the things that someone should have to be happy: wealth, power, and fame. And he even had morality. People looked up to him. Jesus identified him as “a respected Jewish teacher” (John 3:10). His name was known by most. He was a man to whom others looked for direction and spiritual answers. But Nicodemus had a lot of questions about life. Even though he was well-known, highly educated, and deeply religious, there was something missing in his life. And that brought him to a conversation with Jesus one night. Nicodemus was a Pharisee, and often, we think of Pharisees in a negative light. Perhaps that’s because Jesus saved His most critical and scathing words for the scribes and Pharisees. But not all of them were corrupt. Understand, it wasn’t easy to become a Pharisee. It took a lot of study, preparation, and discipline. A Pharisee was someone who had committed himself in a solemn vow before two witnesses that he would devote every moment of his life to obeying the Ten Commandments. Thus, Nicodemus had spent hours studying the Scriptures and hours before God in prayer. He was a very devout and religious individual. Nicodemus had been hearing about the Lord’s ministry, which was just wrapping up at this point. He had enough spiritual discernment to know that Jesus was sent from God. However, I don’t think that Nicodemus necessarily knew that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel. The conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus wasn’t simply a conversation between two historical figures. Rather, it was a conversation between God and humanity. If we were to elect someone to represent us before God, we could not choose a finer individual than Nicodemus. He was the finest specimen that humanity could offer, apart from God’s touch. And Jesus gave Nicodemus the answers that have unlocked the mystery of life for countless millions of people through the centuries. It was a significant conversation. The Bible tells us that many believed in Jesus, but He did not believe in them. Why? John gives us the answer: “But Jesus didn’t trust them, because he knew all about people. No one needed to tell him about human nature, for he knew what was in each person’s heart” (John 2:23–25 NLT). Jesus knew these people were fickle. They were shallow. And they weren’t really interested in spiritual answers. Yet it’s interesting to see how Jesus made time in His very busy schedule for the searching Nicodemus. In contrast to the fickle crowds, here was a man who truly was searching. So, Jesus had time for Him. To the person who is playing games or isn’t interested, the Lord will say nothing. But to the person who is genuinely searching and wants to know the answers to life, God will reveal the truth. Speaking through the prophet Jeremiah, God said, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me” (Jeremiah 29:13 NLT). God always will reveal Himself to true seekers.
