On Apr. 17, 2024, Iran’s president said Iran would completely destroy Israel if Israel proceeded with even the tiniest invasion of Iran. A few hours later, Germany’s Foreign Minister tried to persuade Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu not to retaliate against Iran for attacking Israel with hundreds of drones and missiles. Netanyahu said,
I admire Netanyahu for what he has done and said, but according to Bible prophecy, Israel will not do the most important thing it needs to do (accept Jesus as their Messiah) for at least 7 more years. Here is a short list of Bible prophecies about Israel.
Israel needs to understand that she cannot defend herself, but God can, and Israel’s troubles will continue until the Jews accept Jesus as their Messiah (and they will). Here are some events that appear to indicate that we are close to the end of the age. One, concerning God’s protection of Israel and Iran’s attack on Israel: Rabbi Meir Lau (Rabbi of Tel Aviv) said, “God did us a great favor that 99% of all the UAVs were destroyed without harming us. There was only some damage to places and no harm to people. This whole story was a great miracle, but we still have not appreciated its magnitude. We experienced God’s true protection and this connection with the superpowers and our neighbors, as well as other details that are confidential, all I can say is that this was a great divine miracle.” (More: Prophecy expert Amir Tsarfati said, “Prayer was the most successful air defense system.) (More: Robert Gottselig, Director of The Friends of Israel, said, “We know that when God’s people pray, and especially when they have been and still are interceding for Israel and the Jewish people, God hears their prayers.”) Two, on Apr. 22, 2024 (Passover day in Israel), two armed terrorists drove a car into pedestrians in Jerusalem (slightly wounding 3); they emerged from their vehicle trying to fire makeshift submachine guns at their victims and others, but their weapons failed, and they ran to escape. They were spotted by a police helicopter and arrested. Officials called the minor injuries and failed guns a “Passover Miracle.” Three, concerning the Israel-Hamas war: on Apr. 17, 2024, Israel said, “IAF planes conducted airstrikes against terrorists and terror infrastructure (in northern Gaza), hitting more than 40 targets over the past day, including underground launching posts, booby-trapped structures, military structures where armed terrorists operated, observation posts, underground terrorist infrastructure, and additional terrorist infrastructure.” Israel also struck several targets in Rafah. Four, concerning inflation, the decline of America, and the emptying of America’s strategic oil reserves: on Apr. 19, 2024, the Department of the Interior announced that it will prohibit any new oil drilling project in the U.S. Arctic Ocean as well as on 11 million acres of Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve and nearly 3 million acres of Alaska’s coastal waters. Five, concerning a borderless world and illegal immigration: on Apr. 19, 2024, it was reported that illegal immigrants in New York complained that the amount of (free) food they get, their housing, (free) services, and other benefits they are getting are not enough and that this is unacceptable. Six, concerning corruption in Washington and the belief by many that we can no longer trust the elections: I cannot count the times I have heard someone say that they do not believe the globalists will let Trump win the next election even if it becomes necessary to assassinate him. I hope it is not true, but on Apr. 19, 2024, Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives proposed legislation to strip Pres. Trump of his Secret Service protection if he is convicted and sentenced for a felony. Seven, concerning Biden’s efforts to force Netanyahu and Israel to obey him: on Apr. 21, 2024, it was reported that U.S. officials have confirmed that Biden intends to impose sanctions on an Israeli military unit on the West Bank of Israel (Judea and Samaria) for violating the rights of Palestinians. Netanyahu said, “At a time when our soldiers are fighting terrorist monsters, the intention to sanction a unit in the IDF is the height of absurdity and a moral low.” (My opinion: Biden is daring God to curse America.) Eight, concerning America’s unstainable national debt and the economic collapse of the U.S.: on Apr. 3, 2024, it was reported that the White House intends to use funds appropriated to advance America’s national interest (democracy, freedom of speech, free market values, etc.) to train at least 200 LGBTQ+ activists to spread transgenderism in India. Nine, concerning an increase in wars and rumors of wars at the end of the age: on Apr. 22, 2024, a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) said military spending is soaring across the globe and it reached an all-time high in 2023. Ten, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: on Apr. 23, 2024, Iran vowed to annihilate Israel if it launches a major attack on Iranian territory. Iran’s Pres. Raisi said there will be nothing left of the Zionist regime (Israel). Eleven, concerning hatred for Israel at the end of the age: on Apr. 22, 2024, U.S. Senators Josh Hawley and Tom Cotton asked Pres. Biden to mobilize the National Guard to protect Jewish students on college campuses. Hawley sent a letter to Biden that said: “On college campuses across the United States, Jewish Americans are at risk. … In your statement on Passover, you stated that “in recent days, we’ve seen harassment and calls for violence against Jews. This blatant antisemitism is reprehensible and dangerous — and it has absolutely no place on college campuses, or anywhere in our country.’ Now you must take action to match those words.” (More: Hundreds of pro-Palestinian students have been arrested at Columbia University, New York University, and Yale University.) Of those choices, one stands out as particularly dangerous — the decision to blame Jews for humanity’s problems. We have seen where this decision leads. The Nazis took it to a place they called Endlösung. In English, that means, “The Final Solution.” Adolf Hitler built his whole sorry career on extreme hatred of Jews. In his book, Mein Kempf, he blamed Jews for mankind’s worst evils. He spoke of “the Jewish question” as a primary problem for humanity — a problem he could solve. His solution was simple. In 1922, three years before Mein Kempf, Hitler told a journalist, “Once I really am in power, my first and foremost task will be the annihilation of the Jews.” Of course, no one believed him. He said it, but if his voice entered the consciousness of most people at all, it did so as something of an oddity from the outer fringe. At first, no one thought he would gain power. When he did, they assumed his power would be checked by more moderate forces. He abused Jews from the beginning, but that abuse did not start with “annihilation.” He did not pull the trigger on his plan to exterminate Jews until December 12, 1941 — one day after declaring war on the United States. On that day, Hitler held a secret meeting with 50 Nazi officials, including their Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels. There are no official minutes from the meeting, but in his journal, Goebbels wrote, “With respect of the Jewish Question, the Führer has decided to make a clean sweep. He prophesied to the Jews that if they again brought about a world war, they would live to see their annihilation in it. That wasn’t just a catchword.… If the German people have now again sacrificed 160,000 dead on the eastern front, then those responsible for this bloody conflict will have to pay with their lives.” Hitler had decided to exterminate an entire people, to engage in actual genocide. The Nazis called it the final solution. We call it the Holocaust. They decided to rid Europe of Jews by murdering them. Germany was a modern nation filled with intelligent, educated people. They were children of the Enlightenment. They weren’t so different from us. That point was brought home to me again in the last few days when I saw a sign that featured a large Palestinian flag and a small Israeli flag beside the words, “Final Solution.” This was not in some faraway land. It was at George Washington University. That sign is a clear and obvious reference to the Holocaust — a call for the destruction, not just of Israel, but of all Jews. What happened in Germany eight decades ago started as something small and from the fringe of society. This time it has spread to the whole world. Jewish students at American universities are being bullied and belittled; threatened and injured. They are not alone. It is a worldwide phenomenon. How far will it go? The Bible teaches that hatred of Jews will be a feature of the last days. I had hoped it would be a post-rapture phenomenon — that the Church would be morally strong enough to hold back this evil as long as the Church stays on earth. It still could. At first, they told us that humans were at no risk. But now the WHO says that there is “enormous concern” that H5N1 could potentially start spreading among humans. And when dairy cows in the U.S. started catching bird flu, we were assured that milk from infected cows was being kept out of the supply chain. So most Americans continued to buy milk, cheese and butter as usual. But now two different rounds of testing have confirmed that massive amounts of milk from infected dairy cows is getting into the supply chain. In fact, on Thursday an update that was posted on the official FDA website openly admitted that approximately one out of every five samples of grocery store milk that they tested had “viral fragments” in them… Today, the FDA received some initial results from its nationally representative commercial milk sampling study. The agency continues to analyze this information; however, the initial results show about 1 in 5 of the retail samples tested are quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR)-positive for HPAI viral fragments, with a greater proportion of positive results coming from milk in areas with infected herds. That is a bombshell. But they are not the only ones that have been doing such testing. A veterinary epidemiologist at Ohio State University tested “150 commercial milk products from around the Midwest”, and he found viral material in more than a third of them… Andrew Bowman, a veterinary epidemiologist at Ohio State University, had a hunch. He had been struck by the huge amounts of H5N1 virus he’d seen in milk from cows infected with the bird flu and thought that at least some virus was getting off of farms and going downstream — onto store shelves. He knew the Food and Drug Administration was working on its own national survey of the milk supply. But he was impatient. So he and a graduate student went on a road trip: They collected 150 commercial milk products from around the Midwest, representing dairy processing plants in 10 different states, including some where herds have tested positive for H5N1. Genetic testing found viral RNA in 58 samples, he told STAT. What these tests indicate is that H5N1 is far, far more widespread in dairy cows than we had been told. Originally, I wasn’t too concerned when I heard that there were a few dozen confirmed cases in herds across the country, because that was just a very small fraction of the total. But now experts are acknowledging that these latest tests clearly show that a very large proportion of U.S. dairy cows have been exposed to the virus… “The fact that you can go into a supermarket and 30% to 40% of those samples test positive, that suggests there’s more of the virus around than is currently being recognized,” said Richard Webby, an influenza virologist who has been analyzing the samples at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., where he heads the WHO Collaborating Center for Studies on the Ecology of Influenza in Animals. The good news is that the FDA is reporting that “preliminary results” indicate that the pasteurization process kills off the bird flu that has been getting into our milk supply… Preliminary results of tests run by the Food and Drug Administration show that pasteurization is working to kill off bird flu in milk, the agency said Friday. “This additional testing did not detect any live, infectious virus. These results reaffirm our assessment that the commercial milk supply is safe,” the FDA said in a statement. Hopefully those “preliminary results” will be confirmed. Unfortunately, any milk that has not been pasteurized is at risk. In fact, the USDA is telling us that deaths and neurological disease have been “widely reported” among cats that had been drinking unpasteurized milk from dairy cows… Other animals have also not fared as well during the outbreak: the USDA said Friday that deaths and neurological disease had been “widely reported” in cats around dairy farms. Officials have said they suspect cats had been drinking leftover raw milk from infected cows. Why are we only hearing about this now? And what else are they not telling us? It appears that we have a major crisis on our hands. Sadly, more confirmed cases just keep rolling in. At this point, Colorado has become the ninth state where dairy cows have officially tested positive… Avian influenza has been confirmed in dairy cows in Colorado, making the Centennial State the ninth in the U.S. to see the highly contagious virus jump from bird to cattle. According to the state Department of Agriculture, the Colorado State Veterinarian Office was alerted on April 22 that a dairy herd in northeastern Colorado was exhibiting symptoms of H5N1, or the bird flu. In cattle, bird flu symptoms include decreased feed intake, decreased milk production, and abnormal milk when it is produced. “Samples submitted to the Colorado State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory tested presumptive positive for HPAI on April 24 and were confirmed by the [U.S. Department of Agriculture] National Veterinary Services Laboratory on April 25,” the Colorado Department of Agriculture said. Many scientists are deeply concerned about the possibility that H5N1 could jump from dairy cows to dairy workers. So far, just one dairy worker in Texas has officially tested positive, but there may be a lot more cases out there. The following comes from an NBC News article entitled “Bird flu cases are likely being missed in dairy workers, experts say”… During that same time, she said, dairy workers — including those who were never in close contact with the sick cows — also fell ill. “People had some classic flu-like symptoms, including high fever, sweating at night, chills, lower back pain,” as well as upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea, Petersen said. “They also tended to have “pretty severe conjunctivitis and swelling of their eyelids.” Petersen noted that the people were never tested for H5N1; it’s possible that their symptoms were the result of another illness. If H5N1 mutates into a form that spreads easily from human to human, that would be a nightmare. According to the official WHO website, more than 50 percent of all confirmed cases in humans since 2003 have resulted in death… From 2003 to 1 April 2024, a total of 889 cases and 463 deaths (CFR 52%) caused by influenza A(H5N1) virus have been reported worldwide from 23 countries. In my most recent book entitled “Chaos”, I warned that pestilences would be one of the major themes that we would be dealing with in 2024. The bird flu has already killed millions upon millions of birds all over the globe, and now it has made the jump into mammals such as dairy cows and cats. Many experts are convinced that it is just a matter of time before is starts spreading among humans on a widespread basis, and once that happens everything will change. Nearing Orwell’s Nightmare – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2024/04/28/nearing-orwells-nightmare/ Back to when I could see to read –now more than 30 years ago—I had 3 versions of George Orwell’s 1984 in my library. As a matter of fact, I believe those volumes are still here in the book shelves — somewhere. I had read all three versions years before, during college years and afterward in subsequent re-readings. I believe I reread the book even during the actual year of 1984. Of course, my interest in Orwell’s work involved more than merely an interest in dystopian literature. The book smacked of the Tribulation era described in the Bible. Its chief character, not the protagonist Winston Smith, but Big Brother, reminded of how Antichrist will control most of the world during that 7-year period known as Daniel’s seventieth week. Now, because of blindness, I must have everything read to me through a computer voice synthesis program called Jobs Accessible Word System or JAWS as is its acronym. Books –or any other text—must be presented in a text document form for JAWS to read them. So I now must have books in computer text to read books like Orwell’s novel. If I had such a document, I would certainly be reading 1984 at the present time. It seems that Mr. Orwell’s fictional cogitations were almost prescient – thus, the title of the commentary: Nearing Orwell’s Nightmare. Orwell’s book sparked my interest in writing a novel along the lines of 1984 but Bible-centered in its scope. The novel’s title is Jacob’s Trouble – 666, which is inclusive of Jeremiah 30:7, the entirety of the books of Revelation, and some of the book of Daniel. I believe my own effort at such a work of fiction was prompted by the Holy Spirit, but being the fallible human writer I am, I fell far short of capturing the nuance of developments that have now eventuated in movement toward the seven-year era that will constitute the Tribulation. And what a ride it has been upon the heaving waves of satanic tumult toward that horrendous time of which the ascended Lord Jesus forewarned through His beloved disciple John. News of the hour the past week caught my attention with regard to indicating just how near this generation is to the dystopian world John foretold, Orwell described, and that I tried to capture in my fiction. And such news has been compiling day by day –sometimes hour by hour, as I indicate. Mostly, in mainstream venues, the words are, in most every case, constructed in such a way as to push into the reader’s mind the leftist ideological rants of the moment. Orwell’s novel presented a completely changed way of covering news –and every other kind of communication. It was called News Speak. A governmental organization devoted every working moment to changing the way people heard news and even how they were influenced to think about what they heard. This brainwashing was called Double Think. Here is an excerpt from 1984: “Just the man I was looking for,” said a voice at Winston’s back. He turned round. It was his friend Syme, who worked in the Research Department. Perhaps ‘friend’ was not exactly the right word. You did not have friends nowadays; you had comrades, but there were some comrades whose society was pleasanter than that of others. Syme was a philologist, a specialist in Newspeak… “How is the Dictionary getting on?” said Winston, raising his voice to overcome the noise. “Slowly,” said Syme. “I’m on the adjectives. It’s fascinating.” […] “The Eleventh Edition is the definitive edition,” he said. “We’re getting the language into its final shape – the shape it’s going to have when nobody speaks anything else. When we’ve finished with it, people like you will have to learn it all over again. You think, I dare say, that our chief job is inventing new words. But not a bit of it! We’re destroying words – scores of them, hundreds of them, every day. We’re cutting the language down to the bone. The Eleventh Edition won’t contain a single word that will become obsolete before the year 2050.”… It was B. B.’s idea originally, of course,” he added as an afterthought. A sort of vapid eagerness flitted across Winston’s face at the mention of Big Brother… “Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end, we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten. Already, in the Eleventh Edition, we’re not far from that point. But the process will still be continuing long after you and I are dead. Every year, fewer and fewer words, and the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, of course, there’s no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of self-discipline, reality-control. But in the end there won’t be any need even for that. The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect. They were simply in the process of changing everything in the way of communication so no one could go against the state –the governmental dictates. Reminds of wokeness and cancel Culture, doesn’t it? The Tribulation’s Big Brother will no doubt use every satanically-inspired technology to do exactly what Orwell’s B.B. was doing during that fictional dystopian era. Antichrist will doubtless use the most highly advanced AI to institute Satan’s drive to enslave every human on earth. Certainly, we are witnessing efforts to bring that enslavement into being even at this moment, just prior to the Rapture. Speaking of which, you don’t want to be here when Big Brother of the Tribulation comes on the scene. Rather, you want to go to Jesus when He Calls from the Clouds of Glory, where there will be Great Joy and Grand Reunion at the same time Antichrist turns the planet into something worse than portrayed in 1984. Here is how to go to Christ when the Rapture happens. “That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10). Daily Jot: The GOAT of GOATs - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com There is much debate among sports enthusiasts of who is the GOAT, the Greatest Of All Time. In football, some say it’s Tom Brady with seven Super Bowl wins as quarterback. In basketball, we hear names like Bill Russell who led the Celtics to 11 NBA championships to Michael Jordan’s six championships at Chicago. Baseball’s Willie Mays and Babe Ruth are among the GOATS. One of my personal favorites is track star Jesse Owens, who left Adolph Hitler’s race theories in the dust by winning gold at the 1936 Olympics. All these athletes were extremely gifted by God, and worked countless hours at their craft to be deserving of inclusion in the GOAT discussion. Being the GOAT is the result of great sacrifice. On the sacred day of Yom Kippur, Aaron was instructed by the LORD to enter the Holy of Holies and offer very specific sacrifices. Among the sacrifices were two goats selected by lot. One goat was designated for the LORD as the sin offering for the people, and his blood was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. The fat of the offering was burned on the Copper Altar in the courtyard of the Tabernacle. The flesh and hide were burned outside the camp. The other goat, designated for Azazel (a name of an accusing angel), was called the scape goat. It was not slaughtered, but sent away carrying all of the sin and iniquity of the people to a “place uninhabited.” The phrase scape goat was translated by William Tindale from the Hebrew word seir mishtale’ach—“scape goat.” The two goats are considered to be a single sacrifice for Yom Kippur, but with two aspects—the blood of the first goat was given for atonement, the second goat was given for banishment of sin from the Devine Presence. Jesus is both our atoning sacrifice (Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24), and our “scape goat.” Psalm 103:12 says, “He has removed our sins from us, as far as the east is from the west.” There is a difference between atonement—forgiveness of sin–and removing the shame of that sin. And that is what Christ accomplished for us on the cross! The fulfillment of this most solemn day of the year—Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur–will be complete upon Christ’s return to atone for Israel, and all the nations’ sins, and then establish His Kingdom on the earth. Yom Kippur is the prophetic picture of the Day of the LORD spoken about by the prophets of Israel, revealing the coming judgement in the last days associated with the “rapture” of the believers in Christ, when National Israel will be restored to the LORD, and their sins purged (Matthew 24). Kippur is taken from the Hebrew word Kapporah meaning—“covering,” “protection,” “purification,” ”cleansing,” “forgiveness.” It is God’s heart for you. Jesus is not only our High Priest, but also our Passover Lamb of God—and Goat of God, whose blood was sprinkled upon the Mercy Seat on Yom Kippur (Hebrews 9:11-12, 24), to cleanse us from sin and give us everlasting atonement, restoring our right relationship with the Father. So when we are talking GOATs, Jesus our Messiah is no doubt the Greatest Of All Time. As a result, she went from marriage to marriage and from relationship to relationship. She had been married and divorced five times. And then she was living with a man. Nowadays, this story wouldn’t be all that uncommon. But in the first century, it was scandalous for someone to live this way. By the time this woman encountered Jesus at a Samaritan well, she had been used, abused, and disillusioned. Undoubtedly, she was strikingly attractive. But perhaps as the years passed, her beauty began to fade, and as a result, men started disappearing from her life. There wasn’t anyone who would commit themselves to her in marriage anymore. And before she knew it, she had no friends to speak of. People probably wouldn’t even look at her, much less give her the time of day—that is, until Jesus came along. And He gave her more than the time of day. He went out of His way to speak with her, and He revealed to her the truth of God’s Word. She hadn’t realized it, but she had an appointment with God that day. One thing we can always be sure of is that God keeps His appointments. He is never late; He is always on time. It’s interesting to note that the story of this woman in John 4 comes immediately after the story of Nicodemus in John 3. Nicodemus was a religious, upright man who came to Jesus at night, searching for answers in life. Meanwhile, the Samaritan woman was an immoral person whom Jesus sought out. There are some interesting contrasts between these two individuals. One was a man, and one was a woman. One was very moral, and one was very immoral. Nicodemus was known for his great accomplishments, while the Samaritan woman was known for her great immorality. At the same time, both had something in common: they were empty, and they needed Jesus. We, too, have a spiritual thirst deep inside us. And there’s nothing in this world that will satisfy this thirst except for a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This serves as a reminder to us that everyone needs Jesus. Sometimes we think that Jesus is only for the down-and-outers. Yes, they do need Jesus. But relatively good people need Him too. I have found that wherever I go, the answers for the problems of humanity are the same. I have preached in the United States and in several other countries. And everywhere I’ve been, I’ve found that one thing is always true: people are sinful, and Jesus is the answer. Regardless of someone’s culture, age, race, or gender, they need Jesus. Everyone is empty, everyone is lonely, everyone has a sense of guilt, and everyone is afraid to die. That is something we need to realize. Jesus is the Savior of the world. He is the Savior of every person, young and old, from the simpleminded to the great intellect. Jesus Christ is the answer.
