Israel Is No One’s Lap Dog—Not Even to The Most Powerful Nation On Earth – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/amir-tsarfati-israel-is-no-ones-lap-dog-not-even-to-the-most-powerful-nation-on-earth/
Remember that best friend you had when you were younger. You were great pals – did everything together – until the day they took the keys to your car and told you that they wouldn’t give them back until you did exactly what they said? Remember that? No, of course you don’t, because that’s not what friends do. Friends don’t extort friends. But that is exactly what the U.S. is doing to Israel. President Joe Biden made a nice speech recently in which he promised that neither the Holocaust nor October 7 would ever be forgotten. But meanwhile, behind the scenes, he was twisting Israel’s arm to force a ceasefire with Hamas that would open the door for a future October 7 to take place. How is the arm twisting taking place? By withholding promised and much needed munitions that are essential for Israel to prosecute the war. Just last night on CNN, Biden said, “If they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities – that deal with that problem.” U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has affirmed the president’s action, saying that America has already suspended one shipment of weapons that most believe consists of 6500 advanced JDAM kits for accuracy of unguided bombs. U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller announced on Wednesday that the administration is considering delaying other shipments, too. But don’t worry, they say, “our long-term commitment to Israel has not changed.” So, what you’re saying, spokesman Miller, is that as long as we are faithful little obedient dogs, you’ll be nice. But if we ever disobey, then you’ll whap our snouts with a newspaper and throw us outside to the wolves. Israel is no one’s lap dog – not even that of the most powerful nation on earth. At the Yad Vashem ceremony for Yom HaShoah on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made Israel’s position very clear. He said, “From here in Jerusalem, I am sending a very clear-cut message: You will not chain our hands, and even if Israel has to stand alone, it will stand alone and will continue to fight our enemies until victory.” King David said it a little differently several millennia ago, “Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:6-7). When Sennacherib, king of Assyria, came against Jerusalem, his spokesman called out Israel’s King Hezekiah for trusting in Egypt for help, calling Pharoah’s kingdom, “this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it” (Isaiah 36:6). When it comes to Middle East policy, I think “broken reed” is an apt description of this current U.S. administration’s policies, considering its multiple failures: 1) Hamas is still not ready to reach an agreement on hostages without allowing for its total victory. 2) Saudi Arabia is increasing its demands for an agreement with Israel because it would rather wait for a Trump-brokered deal. 3) Both Republicans and Democrats blocked a Saudi/American agreement because Israel had been left out of it. 4) The terrorist president of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Mahmoud Abbas, is not ready for any kind of reform and continues to provide blood money to the families of terrorists. 5) Palestinian leadership is a mess with Hamas ready to kill any of Abbas’s officials who might set foot in Gaza. 6) The U.S. humanitarian dock/pier under construction in Gaza is under threat and will eventually be bombed by Hamas. 7) Outside of Israel, the Houthis are running riot, U.S. troops are being kicked out of some African nations, U.S. policy is failing in Ukraine, and there is the lasting legacy of the horrendous debacle in Afghanistan. This is why Biden is pushing so hard for this victory. He feels his reelection may depend on peace in Gaza and the development of a two-state solution, and he is willing to sacrifice Israel’s well-being to get it. War in Rafah Despite the U.S. administration’s threats and protestations, the Rafah offensive has begun. There are two main foci for this operation: 1) Controlling the eastern region closest to Israel. 2) Controlling the Rafah crossing into Egypt which is the main oxygen of Hamas above the ground. After a massive undertaking to relocate civilians, during which more than 100,000 people were moved in one day, the Israel Air Force (IAF) began to soften up targets. Now, ground forces have moved into eastern Rafah in the form of Division 162 under the leadership of the 401st Brigade. Once the IDF has control of the Philadelphi corridor along the Egypt-Gaza border, they will begin the arduous work of uncovering the unimaginable web of tunnels under the ground. There was a big scuttle about Hamas supposedly accepting a CIA/Qatari proffered deal on Tuesday. It turns out it was just another attempt to make Israel look bad. Hamas never accepted a plan. Instead, they offered their own plan which centered around releasing the bodies of dead hostages. That is the last contingency that we would accept, because there would be nothing stopping Hamas from killing hostages and sending their bodies over as part of the deal. As I mentioned earlier, the only deal Hamas wants is one that will give them back everything they lost and that punishes Israel. They are on the brink of defeat, and the only chance they have is if an international coalition of statesmen gives them victory. There are plenty in Washington and other international capitals who are anxious to do just that. War in the North On Wednesday, the IDF fired from the Golan at several targets around Damascus, Syria. Also on Wednesday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for at least 10 attacks using drones and rockets. In one of those attacks, a powerful Burkan rocket was fired at an IDF barracks in Biranit. In response, the IDF is keeping up steady attacks on Hezbollah targets in villages in southern Lebanon. While Israel is going to have to deal with Hezbollah at some point, the questionable support from its allies will ensure that for now, at least, Netanyahu and the IDF will have to keep their primary focus on Hamas in Gaza in the south. Protests It was good to see a number of universities crack down on the students and outside agitators who took over their campuses last week. Many arrests were made, and it was particularly nice to witness the Dutch police take a bulldozer to the anti-Israel encampment at the University of Amsterdam. But the video that made my day was of a snowflake Princeton student bemoaning the fact that the university was not caring for their health during their hunger strike against the policies of that same university. Want to know how to get healthy? Eat something. Still, there were those universities that caved to student pressure. Brown, Northwestern, and the University of Minnesota were just a few that claimed to have reached an agreement with protesters to reconsider their continuation of investments in Israel. Successful terrorism breeds more terrorism. It’s true on university campuses, and it’s true in Gaza. Turkey Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has found something that he is exceptionally good at. That is crashing his country’s economy. Inflation has reached 70% and the Turkish lira has plunged to 32.3 to the dollar. Three years ago, the rate was 8.3. Most blame the president’s authoritarian rule and his unconventional belief that if he increases interest rates it will push inflation even higher. Orthodox belief holds to the opposite. There was an interesting last-minute development that came through last night. Turkey has authorized temporary trade relations with Israel because of their economic struggles. After Erdogan’s bold words condemning Israel so that he could look like a hero in the Muslim world, he now realizes that the ceasefire he expected isn’t happening. So, now he slinks back to “temporarily” reestablish trade. Yeah, that didn’t quite go as planned, did it, Mr. Erdogan? 12 Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus of Nazareth – Britt Gillette - [email protected] Evidential Proof Jesus is the Messiah The world says in order to believe the Bible – in order to believe Jesus is the Messiah – requires a “blind faith.” What’s implied is no evidence exists to believe the Bible is true or Jesus was more than just a man, and therefore, to believe means you just accept it all with no evidence. Is that true? Is there no proof Jesus is the Messiah? Does believing in Him require “blind faith?” No. In fact, it's the exact opposite. Some people mock the idea of Jesus as Lord and Savior, claiming belief in Him is a “fairy tale crutch for the weak.” Others claim Jesus is nothing more than a mythical figure – a superstition no different than the Greek or Roman gods. A common refrain I hear (even among those who claim to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior) goes something like this, “There’s no evidence to prove it’s true. You just have to accept it on faith.” But is that really true? While faith is an essential element to following Jesus, Christian faith is more like trust than a blind belief with no evidence (Hebrews 11:1). There’s plenty of evidence Jesus is the Messiah, and some of the most convincing evidence is fulfilled prophecy. In this article, we’ll look at just a few of those prophecies. In doing so, I believe it will erase all doubt that “there’s no evidence Jesus is the Messiah - Son of God.” The Suffering Messiah When Jesus came, His followers thought He would conquer Israel's earthly enemies and establish an everlasting kingdom. They were right. But they were wrong about the timing. First and foremost, Jesus came as a blood sacrifice to atone for the sins of the world. Had they known the following prophecies, perhaps they would have understood what Jesus meant when He said He would be killed and rise on the third day (Matthew 16:21). Known as the prophecies of “the suffering Messiah,” these events were foretold hundreds of years before the crucifixion. In fact, these prophecies are so detailed and specific, you might think they're New Testament verses about the arrest, trial, and crucifixion of Jesus. Obviously, they're not. But they prove beyond all doubt who the Messiah is. Here are just a few of them: 1) Betrayed by a Friend King David said a trusted friend would betray the Messiah. This would be a person so close they shared each other’s food (Psalm 41:9). This is exactly what happened to Jesus. A thousand years after David made this prophecy, Jesus dipped His bread in a bowl and handed it to Judas (John 13:21-30). Judas took the bread and left to betray Jesus. 2) Betrayed for 30 Pieces of Silver When Judas betrayed Jesus, he did so for the exact sum of 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-15). Five hundred years earlier, the prophet Zechariah foretold this exact price. He said the Messiah would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12). 3) Thrown into the Potter’s Field At the same time, Zechariah revealed another amazing detail. He said the 30 pieces of silver would be thrown in the potter’s field (Zechariah 11:13). In ancient times, the potter’s field was a graveyard for unknown people. People dug up clay to make pottery, and the leftover field was only useful as a burial ground. When Judas realized what he had done, he tried to give back the 30 pieces of silver. When the religious leaders refused it, Judas threw the money down in the Temple. Not wanting to put blood money in the Temple treasury, the leading priests used the money to buy a potter’s field for the burial of foreigners (Matthew 27:3-8). This decision fulfilled Zechariah’s prophecy. 4) Rejected Hundreds of years before Jesus, Isaiah described the Messiah as “despised and rejected.” He said He would be a man familiar with the deepest sadness and people would turn their backs on Him (Isaiah 53:3). When Pilate presented Jesus to the people, he said, “Here is your king.” But the people demanded He be crucified. “Crucify your king?” Pilate asked. But the people said, “We have no king but Caesar” (John 19:14-15). They rejected Jesus as king. The leaders of His day despised Him. Yet Peter said, “the stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone” (Acts 4:11). 5) Silent in Front of His Accusers Isaiah said the Messiah would be silent when faced by His accusers, much like a sheep is silent before the shearers (Isaiah 53:7). Jesus fulfilled this prophecy too. The high priest Caiaphas asked Jesus, “What do you have to say for yourself? How do you answer these charges?” and Jesus was silent (Matthew 26:62-63). 6) Accused by False Witnesses King David said false witnesses would accuse and slander the Messiah (Psalm 35:11). He said they would claim, “We saw Him do it with our own eyes” (Psalm 35:21). This also happened to Jesus. The religious leaders couldn’t find any evidence against Him. So false witnesses made up stories (Mark 14:56). 7) Pierced Hands and Feet King David said the Messiah’s hands and feet would be pierced (Psalm 22:16). This also happened to Jesus. He was nailed to a cross (John 19:17-18). Crucifixion required the Roman soldiers to drive nails through His hands and feet. When King David made his prophecy, this method of execution didn’t exist. Nevertheless, the crucifixion of Jesus fulfilled this prophecy. 8) Given Vinegar to Drink King David said the Messiah would be given gall (poison) for food and sour wine to quench His thirst (Psalm 69:21). This happened to Jesus. While He was being crucified, the soldiers gave Jesus wine mixed with bitter gall (poison). But when He tasted it, He refused to drink it (Matthew 27:34). Then someone filled a sponge with sour wine and held it up to Jesus on a stick so He could drink it (Mark 15:36). 9) His Clothes Divided King David said others would cast lots for the Messiah’s clothes at His execution (Psalm 22:17-18). This also happened to Jesus. When the Roman soldiers crucified Him, they divided His clothes among themselves. But His robe was a single garment, and they didn’t want to tear it. So rather than tear it, they threw dice to see who would get it (John 19:23-24). 10) His Side Pierced Five hundred years before the crucifixion, Zechariah said the people of Israel will look upon the Messiah they have pierced and mourn for Him as for an only son (Zechariah 12:10). This happened to Jesus as well. Checking to make sure He was dead, one of the Roman soldiers pierced Jesus with a spear (John 19:34). 11) Buried in a Rich Man's Tomb Hundreds of years before Jesus, Isaiah said the Messiah would be treated like a common criminal and buried in a rich man’s tomb (Isaiah 53:9). The Bible tells us this happened to Jesus. After the crucifixion, a rich man named Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for Jesus’s body. Joseph wrapped the body in a clean sheet of linen cloth and placed it in the tomb he had prepared for himself. Then he rolled a boulder into the entrance to seal it (Matthew 27:59-60). 12) Risen from the Dead A thousand years before the resurrection, King David said the Messiah’s body would not be left among the dead. He said God would not allow His Holy One to rot in the grave (Psalm 16:10). And Psalm 49 said God will restore the Messiah’s life, saving Him from the power of the grave (Psalm 49:15). Three days and three nights after the crucifixion, Mary and Mary Magdalene went to see Jesus. When they arrived at His tomb, a great earthquake shook the ground. An angel rolled a rock away from the tomb’s entrance and told them Jesus had risen from the dead just as He had promised (Matthew 28:5-7). Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah These prophecies are just a few of the messianic prophecies. The Bible contains many, many more. All these prophecies point to one man as the Messiah. Jesus. How can anyone read them and still reject Him as the Messiah? The odds of one person fulfilling all of these prophecies is beyond chance. How many people can claim specific details of their life were foretold hundreds of years before their birth? Jesus can. Yet many people still dismiss Him. They call Him a "good teacher," but say He was a mere man. That’s impossible. Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh – the Great I AM in the form of a man. If that's not true, how is He a "good teacher"? Anyone who would lie about such a thing is evil. Such a person is not a “good teacher.” But no need to worry. Jesus didn’t lie. He was and is God in the flesh. Bible prophecy proves it. No other man in all of human history fulfilled the Messianic prophecies, and no other man can. The Messiah had to come at a specific time in history (Daniel 9:25). Jesus did. The Messiah had to be born in a specific place in a certain way (Micah 5:2, Isaiah 7:14). Jesus was. The Messiah had to be crushed and made an offering for sin (Isaiah 53:10). He had to overcome the power of the grave (Psalm 49:15). And He had to be the Savior of the world (Luke 2:11). It was a complete change of subject, but she was used to that. We’ve known each other a long time. She fingered the stem of her glass and glanced at me sideways. “I don’t think I understand,” she replied. “Do I need to?” “I mean, would you ever knowingly choose to do anything at all that would change your body’s DNA structure from what it is now to something else?” She flushed and set her jaw. Her gaze narrowed as she stared at some vague point above my head. Uh oh! I was familiar with that look. After a few awkward moments, she mechanically answered, “Uh, no…no, I don’t think so.” She was lost in a new train of thought, and she was uncomfortable. I decided to drop the subject. Despite our enduring friendship, my friend and I are polar opposites politically. Name any platform of the far left, and she’s likely to be an ardent supporter. She’s been in a quiet fury ever since November 8, 2016. Her rage is palpable whenever she’s part of any conversation where the parameters of the discussion unmask her preferred talking points. We are also light years apart spiritually. I know this because we’ve had candid talks. They are easier to navigate than our political discussions. But as a result, she knows the gospel, although she refuses to believe it. She also knows she may wake up someday to a world where I, and many others have disappeared. I’ve told her this, and she thinks I’m nuts. I’ve watched my friend over the past few decades we’ve known each other. She’s changed a lot during that time, and I regret to say I feel I know her less now than I once did. I have no desire to embarrass my friend, but my relationship with her illustrates some real problems that many of us encounter with unsaved dyed-in-the-wool liberals, regardless of our genuine friendships with them. She’s joined virulent women’s marches, and she owns a funny-looking pink hat. She’s swooned at Obama rallies, and she’s protested at Trump rallies. She’s shouted at people who question global warming, she’s railed against the “Jewish occupation.” She’s cursed plans for energy independence, she’s berated the “racism” of our country’s border laws, and she has opposed all uses of the phrase “Radical Islamic Terrorism.” And I’ve only scratched the surface of her evolving attitudes and behaviors. All things considered, my friend is utterly lost. When I look at her, I see someone who is likely to miss the Rapture because she is unrepentant. She has made consecutive choices to resist the truth of God’s Word. I also see someone who has spurned patient reason and wise counsel, and who has swallowed the fallacies of progressive globalism “hook, line, and sinker.” Unless God intervenes, her fate seems set. I have prayed for my friend multiple times, but she’s a perfect picture of one who has “….refused to love the truth and so be saved” according to 2 Thess. 2:10. But it’s the verse after that one that has me thinking these days. If my friend misses the Rapture and transitions into a world where millions of people have just disappeared, then chances are good she’s going to receive God’s “powerful delusion so that [she] will believe a lie” (2 Thess. 2:11). She’s exactly the sort of person that would fall for it. She refuses God’s truths, but she believes all the lies on this side of the Rapture that prop up prized liberal positions: global warming, conservatives-are-bigots, capitalism-is-bad, abortion, socialism, globalism, fascism, and other mindless “isms.” She trusts “fake news,” so she’s stopped using common sense. She’s conditioned to buy into the greatest lie of all time that will be foisted upon this God-rejecting world. But what will this “powerful delusion” be? Does the Bible tell us, or are we left wrestling with clues? Let’s take stock of what we do know about it, and we’ll begin with the obvious points. First, God is behind it. This is according to 2 Thess. 2:11, but it’s really according to the whole Word of God. Nothing happens without God’s sovereign control, and the text here says “God will send them a powerful delusion.” It’s pretty straightforward. It also has clear precedent. God “hardened Pharaoh’s heart” so that He could divinely judge Egypt (Exodus 7:3-4). He’s going to send this forthcoming “powerful delusion” so that “….all will be condemned who have not believed the truth….” (2 Thess. 2:12). Whatever’s coming, it amounts to God’s divine judgment against a prescribed population, and as things stand now—that includes my friend. That leads me to a second aspect of this “powerful delusion:” It’s a supernatural display; something much more than tsunamis and tornadoes. Just as God judged Pharaoh and the rest of Egypt with miraculous events, so I believe this “powerful delusion” will also incorporate displays that are unnatural, unearthly, and altogether paranormal. This is also plain in the text; 2 Thessalonians 2:9 says this will be a time where the world sees “….every kind of power, including miraculous signs and lying wonders.” Satan has an agenda here, and he’s going to employ counterfeit miracles to wow the masses and fool an unregenerate world. We can look back to Egypt again where Pharaoh’s magicians emulated some of Moses’ miraculous signs to dupe Pharaoh. Third, I believe this “powerful delusion” comes after the Rapture. Paul develops Thessalonians chapter 2 under the topical truth of “….our being gathered to Him” in the first verse. He subsequently reassures his readers they are not in the day of the Lord, a horrific time in the future which I believe the totality of scriptural evidence argues comes after the Rapture. It’s not my intent here to explain all the sound biblical reasons which support a pre-Tribulation Rapture. Plenty of people have already done that very well. That said, I feel this third point is supported by the arrangement of this portion of 2 Thessalonians. It is after Paul discusses the Rapture and the day of the Lord that he raises the topic of this “powerful delusion. No details are ever left to chance in God’s Word. The last obvious point I want to draw attention to is this “powerful delusion” is associated with the Antichrist. Specifically, the Antichrist is “revealed” as part of this delusion. With the greater body of Scripture weighed, this may have as much to do with the events surrounding the Antichrist’s true “coming out” around the midpoint of the Tribulation as it does with his earlier political debut on a global stage. The Bible teaches that Satan will be highly invested into this “man of lawlessness.” The devil will strategically employ a no-holds-barred choreography of supernatural phenomena which will deceive the world into believing they’ve finally found the one who can lead them into their long-awaited utopia. So, let’s summarize these obvious points in a few coherent sentences: To bring divine judgment on those who have refused and mocked the gospel, God will give Satan latitude to deceive the post-Rapture world on a massive scale. Since he persists in the belief he can defeat God’s plans with his own, Satan will introduce supernatural “signs and wonders” into the sphere of natural human experiences. These preternatural events—while extremely convincing—will still be shams. However, they will be effective in persuading the masses who have already rejected the truth, and this population will support the antichrist’s claims and fall into step with his agenda. If that’s all true, and I believe God’s Word means what it says, then there are some resultant implications that must be considered. To illustrate, if a flood destroys a property and sweeps away a home, we can assume the family that lived there will be looking for different housing. We may learn nothing specific about that family after the flood, but that’s still a reasonable conjecture. In the same vein of reasoning, there are sensible assumptions which follow the obvious truths we just extracted from 2 Thessalonians. And since human nature has remained consistent throughout history, here’s one of them: Someone is going to have to explain the Rapture. Remember, it’s the folks that already refused to believe the truth that got left behind. Many of them, just like my friend, will have plainly heard the gospel and even something about the Rapture. But many of those will still refuse to believe the truth even after God miraculously removes His Church from the earth. It’s the same sinful stubbornness that will prevent some people from repenting even after enduring God’s Tribulation judgments (Rev. 9:20-21; 16:9; et al). Again, they’ll know the truth. They’ll know God’s behind it all, and they’ll know they should repent (Rev. 14:6), but they’d rather curse God instead. For people who willfully persist in these types of choices, an “alternate explanation” for the Rapture will be propagated. This lie will seem reasonable to foolish minds, and as “seeing is believing” has always been the standard by which most people are persuaded, this lie is probably one that is heard and seen. This is a perfect time for this great deception, and the obvious points of 2 Thessalonians conform well to this premise. That raises the next sensible assumption which is Satan’s “miraculous signs and lying wonders” will build on current ideas. We did not land on the moon right after the invention of flight. Planes had to be designed which could fly faster and further, and an entire space program had to be developed. It took time and process for our nation to collectively believe they could put a man on the moon. In the same way, the world you and I live in right now is cozying up to some strange ideas. These ideas have been gathering force over time, and they’ve now gained considerable support. Here are a few of them which may play a role in this upcoming “powerful delusion:” WE ARE NOT ALONE. Christians already know this. According to the Bible, we are surrounded by “principalities and powers in heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12). These intelligent entities strive against us and seek to disrupt God’s intentions. These are fallen angels and demons, and God’s Word is clear they wish to destroy us. The unredeemed world sees it differently. They are convinced that aliens from other planets exist, and one day we will make contact with them. Furthermore, there are many who believe these aliens are a superior race of beings who will infuse humanity with new wisdom and enlightenment when they arrive. Some people believe these aliens put humans on planet Earth. This leads to the second idea which is gaining support and energy in the world today. WE MUST EVOLVE. A popular bumper sticker states, “Evolve or die.” It’s a marketing spin on Darwin’s concept of “survival of the fittest,” and according to some opinions, this applies to people too. Evolution teaches that less capable variants of a particular species are removed through natural selection. They eventually disappear while the stronger and more capable ones remain. It’s easy to see where this could lead. The people who subscribe to Darwin’s ideas, and who believe those ideas apply to you and me, are already obsessing over “humanity’s next evolutionary leap.” It will not be difficult for proponents of this view to believe that they are the “fitter and stronger” form of homo sapiens since they remain after the Rapture. It was all those fuddy-duddy Christians that were removed. WE MUST BE RESCUED FROM OURSELVES. This is the deep-seated fixation among secularists that we are doomed to destroy ourselves unless there is outside intervention. Christians say, “This is true. We need Jesus Christ. He came to die for sinners (Rom. 5:8) and to deliver people from the righteous wrath of God. Jesus gives us eternal hope outside the bounds of this fallen world and beyond a creation that groans under the effects of sin (Rom. 8:22).” But the unregenerate world doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ in any way, shape, or form—remember? They choose a spin that places duty into their own hands. That’s why they tout global warming, population control, carbon credits, re-useable grocery bags, cloth diapers, EVs, and bicycles. The common thread underlying their passions goes something like this: “We are destroying our planet, and humanity is threatened with extinction. Unless something radically changes, we’re toast.” The unregenerate world is prepping for a savior, but not one “acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). They don’t want God’s only Son who was sent into this fallen world so that we might live through Him (1 John 4:9). Instead, they want flash and dash, and a whole lot of muscle and hustle. It’s no coincidence that superhero movies dominate the box office these days. From Captain America to X-Men, and from Wonder Woman to Guardians of the Galaxy, the masses are being subtly indoctrinated to the idea that we need a champion – a “superhero” – to save the world. That raises a legitimate question. What does Marvel Comics have to do with the marvelous commentary of the Scriptures? More than you may realize. I think it leads to our last sensible assumption from chapter two of 2 Thessalonians which is the days of Noah are indeed returning. Jesus stated this in Matthew 24:37, and we must soberly consider why He picked that specific time of history to describe a future time when He would return. The world in Noah’s time was an unusual place according to Genesis 6:1-4. It was a time when the supernatural was blended with the natural. Fantastic “heroes and men of renown” existed alongside normal people. They performed tremendous feats, and the world was deceived by them. People rejected the truth but believed a lie, and Satan did everything he could do to prevent God’s plan from being fulfilled. In other words, this part of the past was a lot like what the future may be like. All the ingredients are present for an encore of Noah’s time. Transhumanists believe we are already living in the fifth epoch. That’s what they call the next stage of evolution when human intelligence merges with technology. If movies are your reference point, think Robocop, The Terminator, or even Avatar. It’s no longer science fiction. The “singularity” goal of transhumanists imagines people becoming “spiritual machines.” Transhumanists want to “resurrect” our minds onto supercomputers, allowing people to be immortal. They imagine flesh and bone blending with machines and other technologies, and bodies which are resistant to disease. They want mankind’s powers to be limitless. Enormous budgets are being tapped to support their goals. Prominent transhumanists include notable entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel who founded the Singularity University and the Future of Humanity Institute. Their ideas are embraced by public companies like Google, Apple, and Tesla. Meantime, scientists are working overtime to blend the human genome with the DNA of animals. Real human-animal hybrids are already alive and well on terra firma, and if the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has its way, there will be many more. In August 2016, the NIH proposed that the moratorium on taxpayer funding of certain human-animal experiments be lifted. We’ve reached a point where the egg cannot be put back in the shell. As the unregenerate world supports the violation of God’s laws and the rejection of His good news, the greater prophetic Scriptures provide tantalizing insights to consider alongside our 2 Thessalonians text. As a case in point, the antichrist and the false prophet are “captured and thrown alive into the lake of burning fire” (Rev. 19:20) when Jesus Christ returns. They are the first two recipients of this eternal fate, and they are later joined by Satan who is similarly apprehended and put away for good in Rev. 20:10. But if you blinked, you missed it. All three: the antichrist, the false prophet, and Satan, bypass the great white throne judgment. It’s this event in which faithless humanity from all the ages is tried by God before being tossed into the burning sulfur. Rev. 20:11-15 describes it, and a key point is nobody is overlooked. Hebrews 9:27 prescribes this fate with uncompromising words, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” In other words, if you reject Christ, you will be judged and sent to hell. No exceptions. But the burning lake of hell was also intended for “the devil and his angels” (Matt. 25:41), or stated in other terms – unregenerate, evil, rebellious non-humans. Does….that….mean….the Antichrist….and the false prophet….are not….human? Could be. It could also mean they are not fully human. Let’s weigh this “not fully human” idea from a different vantage point. In Revelation 14, three angels fly through the heavens and loudly proclaim their divine messages to “all those that dwell upon the earth.” It’s the third angel’s message in Rev.14:9-11 that announces if anyone worships the antichrist and his image and takes his mark, then they are condemned to the eternal lake of fire. It’s cut and dried. There’s no going back on this one, and no one can repent once they take the mark. God’s efforts to extend mercy and grace no longer apply to these individuals anymore. Put another way, those who take the mark of the beast are already judged. I believe there’s much more than a choice at play here—there’s a change. I think this change ties into the same reason the Antichrist and the False Prophet bypass the Great White Throne judgment and are thrown directly into the lake of fire, instead. I’ll wrap things up by shooting straight here. I am one of many people who earnestly study the prophetic Scriptures while keeping an honest eye on our present times and trends. I therefore believe those who elect to take the mark of the beast will knowingly choose to change their body’s DNA structure from what it is now—to something else. They will be under enormous pressure to make this decision, not the least of which are basic reasons of personal welfare. The Bible makes this clear in Rev. 13:17. However, there will also be a desire to follow their leader, and to be invincible like him (Rev. 13:3-4). I have little doubt that those who take the mark will be taking some element of the Antichrist in the process. Subsequent passages in Revelation 16:2 and 16:10 show that those who take the mark will physiologically and adversely react to this foreign agent. Nevertheless, humanity will be persuaded that by doing so, they can evolve beyond what they have been to something more. But this decision to take the mark of the beast will render anyone who does so as someone who is no longer 100 percent in the image of God according to Genesis 1:27. They would partly take on the image of the beast which may explain why they also become unredeemable. The mark is a mortal decision with irreversible consequences. We can hardly imagine the turbulent era that lies ahead for the post-Rapture world. But I am sure the persuasive deceptions and powerful delusions of that time will build generously on the godless ideas and passions that are taking shape even now. Wherever the depravities of man can forge alliances with entities, technologies, systems, and ideologies that further distance him from his Creator, it is there that his dark heart is sure to go. https://www.solidbreadllc.com The Deception Of ‘One Health’: What Will World Leaders Be Willing to Give Up? – By David Bowen - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-deception-of-one-health-what-will-world-leaders-be-willing-to-give-up/ The world is just a few weeks away from the global acceptance of the World Health Organization pandemic treaty, known as WHO. This treaty includes the “One Health” agenda and is designed to “balance” the health of people, animals, and plants, as though all three are of equal value. One Health Adopting the “One Health” approach will affect multiple aspects of everyday life, from agriculture and farming to livestock and food production to environmental issues. The “One Health” agenda is designed to globally declare possible pandemic-type risks, which will naturally lead to forced lockdowns and restrictions placed upon the private sector. The solution will be more mass vaccinations and, for the safety of the general public, more types of surveillance on private citizens. In 2018, the National One Health Steering Committee (NOHSC) and Technical Working Groups (TWG) agreed to a five-year strategic plan. Part of that strategic plan is the Global Health Security Agenda. What is that? The Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) is a global effort to strengthen the world’s ability to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. More than 70 countries, including the United States, have signed onto the GHSA framework. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which works directly with other governments, plays a leading role in supporting progress towards the GHSA’s targeted goals for 2024. WHO Pandemic Agreement The most recently updated version of the WHO Pandemic Agreement, last amended on April 22, is designed to redistribute wealth and protective equipment away from the U.S. and establish a global governing board with little accountability to U.S. citizens. WHO has made it clear that it intends to involve itself far beyond the aspects of possible pandemic outbreaks. The latest agreement calls for WHO to be hands-on with such items as climate change, poverty, and hunger. Some will say this is all about money—pharmacies, hospitals, and those who gain financially. However, according to a Wall Street Journal article from April 2021, forty new billionaires were created, and over 200,000 small businesses were destroyed in the U.S. in 2020 alone. The last pandemic was not about wealth; it was about wealth transfer. When this pandemic agreement becomes binding, nations will still have the right to adopt laws, but only per the Charter of the United Nations and the WHO constitution. Countries cannot make changes that are incompatible with the WHO Pandemic Agreement. Support for Abortion The WHO Pandemic Agreement, as it is written, would authorize funding and support for abortion. The agreement obligates nations during pandemics to ensure the provision of essential healthcare services, which means abortion would be considered an essential service. Disease X Kate Bingham and Tim Hames of the WHO, using fear as a tool, warn in their book, The Long Shot: The Inside Story of the Race to Vaccinate Britain, which was released in March of 2023, paint the picture of a hypothetical disease such as “Disease X” which could become the next pandemic and kill fifty million people worldwide. They open their book by saying this is the work of two authors but one voice. Proposing a pandemic designed to kill fifty million people may be the work of many authors, but the one voice they are listening to is not God. Second Timothy says God did not give us the spirit of fear. World Health Assembly What is the timing of all this? The ninth set of meetings to revise and finalize the WHO Pandemic Agreement will take place from April 29 to May 10, 2024. Two weeks later, from May 27 to June 1 in Geneva, Switzerland, the 77th World Health Assembly will meet to finalize these agreements. This will dictate how the United States and the world respond to any future pandemics. As of now, the WHO pandemic agreement is easy to enter but almost impossible to leave. The language of this agreement is designed so that once a nation signs onto the accord, it “shall not be discharged” from any “obligations which happened while it was a Party to the WHO Pandemic Agreement,” even after it withdraws. H.R. 79 Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona introduced the WHO Withdrawal Act (H.R. 79) into Congress. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin introduced the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act On February 5th, 2024, Congressman Chris Smith from New Jersey held a news conference on Capitol Hill. Smith, who serves as a senior member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, has been vocal about the World Health Organization’s pandemic treaty. He has raised concerns about the lack of transparency in the treaty process. The ninety-minute news conference can be found on YouTube. It was posted just two weeks ago, but as of today, it only has 39 views. A Treaty, An Agreement, or a Framework? It is pointed out that the WHO refuses to call this treaty a treaty; they are calling it an agreement or a framework. If it is called a treaty, it would have to be submitted to the treaty process in the United States, which could delay or even derail this agreement. Congressman Smith says, “This is on a fast track. Much of this has been done without very much scrutiny or insight. However, we do know from the draft of this pandemic treaty that it will be binding. They say it right in the treaty. It will be as if the U.S. Congress and the President signed a law that does all these things.” Article 6 Smith confirmed it is evident in Article 6 of this agreement that it promotes abortion on demand. He said the World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary-General has entered into agreements with several pro-abortion groups, including Planned Parenthood, a group out of the European Union, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. He said there are no gestational limits on abortion right up until the moment of birth. He also points out that this agreement does not protect healthcare professionals, including doctors, who don’t want to be participants. The press conference acknowledges this treaty or agreement calls for surveillance and digital I.D.s. This treaty sets the stage for the Antichrist system described in Revelation 13. The future Antichrist system will lead to the demand for the global worshipping of the Beast. (Revelation 13:15). Scripture tells us this coming one world leader will have authority over “every tribe, people, language and nation.” (Revelation 13:7). If nations today are willing to give up sovereignty for a proposed pandemic treaty, what will the world leaders be willing to give up in the Tribulation period. Humans, Animals, and Plants The WHO still plans to use “One Health” as a vehicle to control humans, plants, and animals—all in the name of environmental health. Once this treaty is approved, the WHO will have total power and control over matters related to health and Climate Change. All one needs to do is look at nations like Nigeria. In November 2023, Nigeria held its National One Health Steering Committee Meeting. That led to the country’s president signing the “One Health” approach into law, designed to balance the health of people, animals, and plants, as though all three are of equal value. This global effort is part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Program. In fact, the White House issued a fact sheet in February 2022 endorsing the United States’ commitment to the Global Health Security Agenda. You can find this fact sheet on the White House’s website. CDC In America, the CDC and the Center for Disease Control will be the arm pushing this agenda. It seems the Global Health Security Agency is on track to reach its 2024 goal of global acceptance and finalizing the world’s first pandemic agreement. The Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), the WHO Pandemic Agreement, and “One Health” may soon become reality. The WHO pandemic treaty is to be voted on later this month. It requires a two-thirds majority vote to pass. The “One Health” agenda will cover multiple aspects of everyday life. From our diets to our healthcare, how and where the population can live and work, to deciding what constitutes water and land pollution. There will not be an aspect of life as we know it that will not be influenced by this proposed treaty. If this treaty receives the majority vote needed to pass, the way it stands now, there will be a 10-month deadline for member states to reject the amendments, which means that come May 2025, life will be much different. Daily Jot: The American Chronicles: Of patriots and restaurants - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com One of the great joys when traveling around the country in our RV is meeting new people—Americans that make the country great. Campgrounds are prime places to get to know folks. So are restaurants. In fact, Chris and I try to stay away from the restaurant chains and stop at more out-of-the-way places that have local interest and history. On a recent trip to Florida, there are two places at which we ate that were totally unique and give place to both the current America and the historic America from as far back as the Revolutionary War. This is a tale of two veterans and the eating places that arose from their love for America and the entrepreneurship that is a reflection of our country’s finest. After visiting some friends in Silver Springs, FL, we headed along the backroads when we started getting a little hungry. There wasn’t much out there. We happened along an unassuming place alongside the road. We circled back around Pop’s Southern Buffet and the owner, Pop greeted us out front. I rolled down the window and Pop directed us where to park our rig. Pop is a veteran and he loves America. The signs in the window say it all: “Thank You For Your Service,” “Honor Courage Sacrifice,” “Retired Military,” “Active Military,” “First Responders & RNs.” Good Southern buffet—fried chicken, crawdads, vegetables, BBQ—nothing fancy. Just good home cooking. And they were happy to welcome Service Dog Charlie. We just missed it, but every day at 4:00pm, Pop plays the National Anthem in support of America. Another great restaurant we found was The Log House in Wytheville, Virginia. After a long day of travel and a scare with our GPS directing us to a junkyard as our destination instead of our campground, we just wanted to settle in and have a nice sit-down meal. The young man at the campground desk recommended the eatery and started his directions with “All you do is just go…” That word “just” is always a variable. But we finally found the place, and what a great stop it was! As the legend goes, a young man names Will started the main 2-room log cabin before the Revolutionary War. He stopped building it to fight for our freedom and independence from Britain. It was added on to in 1804 and 1898. There is a garden in the back that dates back to the Civil War. Even further back are several rooms that serve as gift shops. The Log House is very eclectic. Greeted in the lobby by a stuffed black bear, the hostess guided us through many rooms to our table. The place reeks of history and each room has a different look and feel. At one place, a confessional was turned into a romantic table setting. There was a colonial pub. Fireplaces throughout. And the food was as wonderful as the atmosphere and the hospitality. Our waitress gave us a really good rundown on the history. The genuine love of America was found in both Pop’s Southern Buffet and The Log House Restaurant. Hebrews 4:9-10 says, “Use hospitality one to another with grudging. As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” The gift of hospitality blended with fine food and love for country is a hearty meal! Daily Devotion: Like a Mustard Seed - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against his anointed one. —Psalm 2:2 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/like-a-mustard-seed/ - Listen Our numbers have never been greater in the church today. So-called megachurches dot the landscape across the United States and around the world. It’s an amazing thing when we stop and consider the fact that our faith had such humble beginnings. When Jesus Christ was born, who at the time would have thought this little baby would change the world—and world history—from that point forward? During Jesus’ earthly ministry, the Romans didn’t seem to pay a lot of attention to Him or His claims. They tolerated Judaism as long as the Jews conformed to Roman law. In their minds, Jesus got into trouble with His own religious leaders. Pontius Pilate tried to keep his distance but ultimately got pulled into it. He symbolically washed his hands, essentially saying, “This is not on me. It’s on you.” Then, he sent Christ to be crucified, thinking it was the end of the matter. Then, the message began circulating that Jesus had risen from the dead. The Romans tried to suppress it, but the Christians only became bolder. And ultimately, the Romans tried to completely wipe out Christianity. Secular historians agree that from the wicked Caesar Nero to Diocletian, there were ten major attempts to wipe out Christianity. But they didn’t stop Christianity because the church marches on. As Jesus said, “I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it” (Matthew 16:18 NLT). And the good news is that God will be at work, bringing people into His kingdom, until His return to this earth. The bad news is that Satan also will be at work, seeking to undermine people’s faith. Writing to Timothy about the last days, the apostle Paul said, “But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13 NLT). In the end times, there will be imposters—hypocrites in the truest use of the word. And God has told us to be aware of this. One of the ways the devil seeks to undermine our faith is through infiltration. In what we call the parable of the mustard seed, Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches” (Matthew 13:31–32 NLT). Notice that Jesus said the kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed. What we need to know is that mustard seeds don’t grow into trees; they grow into bushes or shrubs. So, Jesus was saying this was unnatural growth. He was saying the kingdom of God is like something small that grows into something unusually big. We’re not going to have a perfect, end-times utopia where everyone believes in Jesus. Nor will we have complete anarchy where no one believes in Jesus. Until the Lord’s return, we will see the good and the bad, the godly and the ungodly, together. But God ultimately will have the victory.
