When asked about the signs of His coming and the end of the age, Jesus mentioned deceit four times in Matt. 24 (vs. 4, 5, 11, and 24). In an article titled “Truth Has Become a Casualty in Modern Journalism,” Pastor Mike Spaulding (author, speaker, radio host) wrote on Apr. 27, 2024:
It reminds me of something God said in Old Testament times about the prophets in Judah:
God saw something that He said is horrible: People that have abandoned me, and they are walking in lies. This ungodliness and deceit are encouraging wicked people, and there is no repentance. The first sin of humanity occurred when Satan deceived Adam and Eve (Gen.3). Jesus would later call the corrupt religious leaders of His day the children of Satan. He called Satan a murderer and a liar from the beginning (Jn. 8:43-44). God is not fooled by the death of truth today. Concerning the end of the age, God said,
The death of truth will ultimately lead to the rise of the Antichrist and the betrayal of Israel, and it will cost multitudes their souls. Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that we are close to the end of the age. One, on May 3, 2024, Just The News reported:
How this will impact the case remains to be seen, but government officials altering evidence and deceiving the court clearly signifies the death of truth. It is truly amazing that they admitted it. (More: on May 7, 2024, it was reported that the U.S. House of Representatives has launched an investigation into these “serious ethical lapses” and gave Smith until 5:pm on May 20, 2024, to produce documents and respond.) Two, six states have filed lawsuits against Pres. Biden’s recently released Executive Order that will let boys in girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms, let males compete against females in sports, etc., simply by saying they identify as female. The fact that people at the highest levels of government choose to ignore the fact that there are biological differences between males and females signifies the death of truth. Thank God for those officials who know that males and females are different and are still willing to fight for the truth. Three, on May 4, 2024, the great Hal Lindsey wrote:

Four, concerning world government, the International Pandemic Treaty (Accords), and the International Health Regulations (IHRs): on May 1, 2024, 49 U.S. Senators (all Republicans) sent a letter to Pres. Biden that said:
Pres. Biden has now been officially notified that every Republican U.S. Senator opposes these two globalist documents that will surrender a lot of U.S. sovereignty to an unelected group of foreigners. Five, a poll that was conducted by the American Press Institute and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research (released on May 1, 2024) found that over half of Americans (53 percent) are extremely or very concerned about news organizations reporting inaccurate information during the election. Six, on May 4, it was reported that Biden’s handlers intend to shorten his speeches to give quality of words over quantity of words. His critics charge that they are shortening his speeches to reduce the chances of cognitive failure. This is about the president of the U.S. So, what is the truth? (More: On May 6, 2024, Wayne Allen Root (author, TV host, political commentator) warned former Pres. Trump that he needs to prepare to run against Michelle Obama in the next presidential election. We will soon know.) Seven, on May 5, 2024, from a command and control center inside a UN hospital in Gaza, Hamas attacked a group of Israeli troops, killed 3 and injured 11. Israeli jets struck the command and control center, and it is no longer operational. UN denials that terrorists are using UN hospitals are false. Eight, concerning deceit: on May 1, 2024, it was reported that the World Economic Forum (WEF) is proclaiming that the greatest peril humanity now faces is misinformation and disinformation (deceit). (My opinion: Many people do not trust the WEF because its leaders are trying to deceive the public (censor the truth) about its efforts to establish a world government.) Nine, concerning the tracking of all buying and selling (Mark of the Beast) and the globalist effort to get people to eat less beef, eat locusts, worms, etc.: on May 3, 2024, it was reported that the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced that it is requiring all cattle and bison to have Electronic Identification Tags (EIDs) that store information about the animal (vaccination schedules, feed routines, medical history, etc.). Some farmers are concerned that government officials will be able to track everything that they have done with their animals, and if the farmer hasn’t done what the government wants, they will not be allowed to sell their animals. (My comment: If they can track the buying and selling of cattle, they will soon be able to track the buying and selling of everything.) (More: On May 8, 2024, Clayton Morris – former Fox News Host; Morris Investment Co. – said he has received an announcement that Master Card, Wells Fargo, Citi Group, and the Central Banks are now going to roll out their own digital currency pilot program. Personal Note: This doesn’t appear to be a global digital currency yet, but a global digital currency is a prerequisite to tracking all buying and selling.) Ten, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Apr. 30, 2024, it was reported that Hezbollah in Lebanon has fired projectiles into northern Israel almost every day for about 7 months (since Oct. 7, 2023), and tens of thousands of Israelis have had to vacate their homes and live in temporary shelters. Israel’s Foreign Minister told his French counterpart, who was trying to de-escalate the situation:
If the international community wants to prevent another war, they need to force Hezbollah back to the agreed-upon line (the north bank of the Litani River) now. (More: On May 5, 2024, Hezbollah in Lebanon fired more than 100 rockets and missiles at homes in northern Israel. Three Israelis were injured; many houses, buildings, and vehicles were damaged; roads were damaged, and some houses were without electricity for several hours.) Eleven, concerning U.S. efforts to force Israel to end its war with Hamas: on May 2, 2024, it was reported that:
If there is any truth to this, U.S. restraints on Israel have probably prolonged the war, and that will likely make the death and destruction worse when the war resumes. Twelve, concerning the Two-State Solution: on May 3, 2024, it was reported that this week, former President Donald Trump said: That he no longer supports a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians following the October 7 massacre. Earlier this year, Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu said:
(My opinion: Our current president – or whoever is running the U.S. – is making a mistake by pushing the Two-State Solution. But regardless of Trump’s, Netanyahu’s, and God’s warnings in the Bible, Israel will be divided, the Jews in Judea will have to flee the Promised Land at the middle of the Tribulation Period, and God will send the Battle of Armageddon for scattering the Jews and dividing His land; Matt. 24:15-22; Rev. 19:11-21.) Fourteen, concerning the spreading hatred of Israel: on May 4, 2024, prophecy teacher Amir Tsarfati wrote that Christians need to recognize that the side effect of the hatred of Israel will eventually turn into hatred for those who support the nation of Israel. According to Tsarfati, the current antisemitism will eventually migrate into a hatred of those who love the Jews and the King of the Jews, Jesus. [email protected] The Who’s Who of Gog-Magog - By Jack Kinsella - https://www.raptureready.com/2024/05/11/the-whos-who-of-gog-magog-by-jack-kinsella/ According to the prophet Ezekiel, there will arise in the last days a massive military and political alliance more or less formally known as the ‘Gog-Magog Alliance.’ “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him…” (Ezekiel 38:2). According to Ezekiel, Gog and Magog will lead an alliance of nations in the last days in a disastrous [for them] invasion against the reborn nation of Israel. In Ezekiel 38:3, Ezekiel clearly identifies Gog as a person rather than a place – “the prince of Meshech and Tubal.” The Scofield Reference Bible’s notes to Ezekiel claim that “Meshech” is a Hebrew form of Moscow, and that “Tubal” represents the Siberian capital Tobolsk. That interpretation would make Gog both a ‘place’ — the Russian Federation of Nations — AND a ‘person’ — in the sense of a federated Russian leadership. The Interlinear Bible (Hebrew – Greek – English) renders that verse as: “Son of man, set your face toward Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal; and prophesy concerning him.” (In Hebrew, the word ‘Rosh’ meant ‘chief prince’ or the ‘chief of the chief princes.’) Magog was a son of Japeth, who, together with his brothers Tubal, Meshech, and Togarmah (Genesis 10:2-3), settled in what is modern-day Russia and the southern steppes of the Caucasus mountains. And Ezekiel identifies ‘Gog’ as coming from the north of Israel. Following the compass due north from Jerusalem will take you through the center of Moscow. The army of Gog and Magog primarily includes people from the nations of Gog, Gomer, Tubal, Meshech, and the house of Togarmah from the “north parts.” They will be joined by Persians from the East, Put from the West, Cushites from the South, and others. “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee…” (Ezekiel 38:5-6). “Gomer” is mentioned in Genesis as well as Ezekiel. The Jewish-turned-Roman historian Flavius Josephus identified Gomer with the Galatians. “For Gomer founded those whom the Greeks now call Galatians, [Galls,] but were then called Gomerites.” (Antiquities of the Jews, I:6.) Ancient Galatia was an area in the highlands of central Anatolia (now Turkey). Galatia was bounded on the north by Bithynia and Paphlagonia, on the east by Pontus, on the south by Lycaonia and Cappadocia, and on the west by the remainder of Phrygia, the eastern part of which the Gauls had invaded. The modern capital of Turkey, Ankara, is part of ancient Galatia. Historically, ‘Gomer’ is also linked to the ancient Cimmerians. The Cimmerians eventually settled the regions north of the Caucasus and the Black Sea in what is now parts of Russia and the Ukraine. The Cimmerians are believed to have migrated north from the region now called Azerbaijan around the time of Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Both the ancient Cimmerians and the Gomerites spoke a form of the Thracian or Persian language. Tubal was another son of Japheth who settled the area. Josephus wrote: “Tobal gave rise to the Thobeles, who are now called Iberes.” Josephus’ ‘Iberes’ settled in the area of the former Soviet state of Georgia. Ezekiel begins his listing of Gog-Magog’s allies with Persia, or modern-day Iran. Iran’s allies, according to Ezekiel, include “Ethiopia” and “Libya.” The Libya of Ezekiel’s day wasn’t Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya. Josephus writes: “Phut also was the founder of Libya to the south and called the inhabitants Phutites, from himself.” (Some versions of Scripture render ‘Libya’ (as does the KJV), whereas others render it ‘Put’ — a grandson of Noah.) Put settled an area that included most of North Africa, including Libya and parts of modern Egypt. “Ethiopia” (also rendered by some versions as ‘Cush’) was a civilization centered in the North African region of Nubia, located in what is today southern Egypt and northern Sudan. Cush was another grandson of Noah and the father of Nimrod. Josephus gives an account of the nation of Cush, who is the son of Ham and the grandson of Noah. “For of the four sons of Ham, time has not at all hurt the name of Chus; for the Ethiopians, over whom he reigned, are even at this day, both by themselves and by all men in Asia, called Chusites.” (Antiquities of the Jews I:6.) In the 5th century AD, the Himyarites in the south of Arabia were styled by Syrian writers as Cushaeans and Ethiopians, and it is certain that the present-day areas of Yemen and Eritrea were both ruled together by one dynasty at that time. The African ‘Kush’ covered Upper Egypt and extended southwards from the First Cataract. In addition, the Cushitic peoples, who live around the Horn of Africa and today comprise the Somali, Afar, Oromo, and several other tribes, are popularly asserted to be the offspring of the Biblical Cush. That the Biblical term was also applied to parts of Arabia is suggested by Genesis, where Cush is the eponymous father of certain tribal and ethnic designations that tend to point to Arabia. Babylonian inscriptions mention the Kashshi or Kassites, and it was once held that this signified a possible explanation of Cush, the ancestor of Nimrod in Genesis chapter 8. The rhetorical question, “Can the Cushite change his skin?” in Jeremiah 13:23 implies people of a notably different skin color from the Israelites, most probably an African race. Also, the Septuagint Greek translation of the Old Testament, made by Greek-speaking Jews between 250 BC and 100 BC, uniformly translates Cush as “Ethiopia.” Assessment So, this is what we know. We know that Ezekiel predicts that ‘in the latter days’ the chief of chief princes of an alliance called Gog-Magog will arise from a location to the uttermost north of Israel. We know that due north of the city of Jerusalem on the same longitude is the modern city of Moscow. We know that Gog will be reluctantly drawn into a conflict with Israel. Ezekiel says Gog will be ‘drawn’ as if he ‘had hooks in his jaws’ into this conflict. The Gog-Magog alliance includes modern Russia, the Ukraine, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, North Africa, and the Middle East, extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Persian Gulf. We also know that the target of the Gog-Magog Alliance is the restored nation of Israel. And finally, we know the time frame. Ezekiel says it will take place ‘in the latter days.’ Here is something else we know. Ezekiel’s alignment of nations was never possible in previous generations. To begin with, Ezekiel’s scenario demands the existence of Israel, “the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations…” (Ezekiel 38:8-9). From Ezekiel’s day until May 14, 1948, there was no place on earth called ‘Israel.’ Prior to 1948, Russia had little interest in the Middle East. The Middle East had been part of the Islamic Ottoman Empire since the time of Columbus. Ezekiel lived one thousand years before Mohammed introduced Islam to the world. Ezekiel lived twenty-five hundred years before David Ben-Gurion announced the rebirth of Israel on May 14, 1948. The fulfillment of Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog prophecy depends entirely on the simultaneous development of two concurrent events: the rebirth of Israel and the rebirth of Mohammedan-style radical Islam. Look at Ezekiel’s main protagonists. There are three. The first is Gog and Magog, the modern Russian federation. Gog and Magog’s participation in the invasion force, according to Ezekiel, comes as a result of God’s promise to “turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth…” (Ezekiel 38:4). I’ve often pondered the phrase, ‘turn thee back’ (Hebrew ‘paqad’ or ‘call to remembrance’). I recall writing a piece for This Week in Bible Prophecy in 1992. The story was about the new Russian parliament suddenly breaking mid-session to rush out to the halls of the Duma, where newly admitted Western missionaries were handing out free New Testaments. Having just emerged from a lifetime of godless Communism, Russians were eager to hear the Word of God, and Christian missionaries were welcomed with open arms. For several years, Russians were offered this ‘call to remembrance’ of Scripture before former KGB operative Vladimir Putin slammed the door shut on foreign missionaries. The Russian Orthodox Church — which was heavily infiltrated by the KGB during the Communist era — is the only legal Christian religion in Russia. The ‘call to remembrance’ was over. When Moscow later entered into its nuclear agreement with Iran, the hook was set. The second of Ezekiel’s protagonists is the alliance itself. Look at the list carefully. Every single nation and region named as Gog-Magog allies is part of the Islamic world. Every single one of them. Islamic North Africa [Ethiopia and Libya], including the Sudan, whose Islamic government is currently conducting genocide against its Christian population. Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam and the heart and soul of radical Wahhabist jihadist Islam. Turkey (ruled by the Islamic Party), together with most of the Russian Republic’s Islamic ‘stans.’ Persia, or modern Iran, the ‘hook’ in Gog’s jaw. Iran’s nuclear program was built by, overseen, guarded, and maintained by Russian scientists, technicians, and military forces. Iran’s leader has made it something of a habit to mention the destruction of Israel in every speech. That brings us to the third protagonist in Ezekiel’s scenario — Israel. According to Ezekiel, the entire invasion force is assembled for one purpose. The destruction of Israel. Israel has but two choices facing it. Israel can gamble that the rest of the world will restrain Iran’s mad mullahs from pulling the nuclear trigger against them. Or Israel can act militarily to remove the threat itself. A third possibility, although not among Israel’s choices, is that the United States will act to remove Iran’s nuclear facilities before Israel faces the point of no return. The possibility the US will act in time is just that — a possibility. Israel’s entire existence has been a gamble, but gambling that the world will protect them from Iran is an unacceptable bet. Gambling on US intervention is a long shot, but the odds are within acceptable ranges, so Israel can afford to sit tight for the time being. But Israel will only gamble with its existence for so long before it is forced to push all its chips into the middle and take out Iran’s Russian-built, Russian-staffed, and Russian-guarded nuclear facilities. Very early on the morning of May 10th, Russian forces began to pour across Ukraine’s border north of Kharkiv. In the short-term this will enable the Russians to create a buffer zone around the Belgorod region and force Ukraine to pull desperately needed forces away from the eastern front. But eventually I believe that the Russians fully intend to take Kharkiv, and that would be an absolutely devastating blow. Needless to say, losing Ukraine’s second largest city is not an option for Ukraine’s western backers, and they are determined to do whatever it takes to keep that from happening. It would be hard to overstate the importance of what we just witnessed. Russian forces have come across the border in an area that is far away from any other current conflict zone. UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron says that Russia has basically “invaded [Ukraine] again”… A Ukrainian regional official insisted Russia’s progress was not yet “significant” but admitted ground fighting in the area was spreading. Meanwhile, speaking on British television, UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron acknowledged it was an “extremely dangerous moment,” adding that Russia had effectively “invaded [Ukraine] again.” He is right. This move by Russia really is essentially a fresh “invasion”, and it represents the most dramatic offensive that the Russians have undertaken since the early days of the war. According to CBS News, the Russians were able to capture five villages on Saturday and four more on Sunday… Evacuation teams worked non-stop throughout the day to take residents, most of whom were elderly, out of harm’s way. At least 4,000 civilians have fled the Kharkiv region since Friday, when Moscow’s forces launched the operation, Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said in a social media statement. Heavy fighting raged Sunday along the northeast front line, where Russian forces attacked 27 settlements in the past 24 hours, he said. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that its forces had captured four villages, in addition to five villages reported to have been seized the day before. It is being estimated that the Russians are in control of about 100 square kilometers in the border area, and this advance is going to force Ukrainian leaders to transfer forces from other areas… Russian Federation forces have penetrated the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 3 to 5 km in Kharkov region, with a control zone in the border area to 110 square kilometers. This will have a ripple effect in all the 600-mile-long frontline. As soon as Ukrainian top General Syrsky begins to transfer units to the northern regions of Kharkov and Sumy, the front in Donetsk will fold, and Chasov Yar, Kurakhovo and Krasnoarmeysk are expected to instantly collapse. Ukrainian Armed Forces in fact have withdrawn some of the units of the 42nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade from the front near Chasov Yar and are hastily transferring troops north. Of course the Ukrainians don’t have enough soldiers anywhere at this stage. The Russians have been steadily gaining ground all over the map in recent weeks, and over the weekend significant gains were made near Chasiv Yar and Krasnohorivka… It is not just in Ukraine’s north that Kyiv’s armed forces are losing ground. DeepStateMap also shows Russia making further gains in two other key areas, most notably towards the town of Chasiv Yar, which has become an important forward military position, and further south in the industrial town of Krasnohorivka, where Russian troops are now in control of the town’s main facility, a brick factory. Ukraine is clearly losing the war, and western leaders are getting desperate. When asked about the new Russian offensive near Kharkiv, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Face the Nation that we “are not going anywhere”… “We’ve been providing the systems to do that, but it’s a challenging moment. We are not going anywhere, and neither are more than some 50 countries that are supporting Ukraine. That will continue and if [Russian President Vladimir] Putin thinks he can outlast Ukraine, outlast its supporters. He’s wrong.” The U.S. is going to continue to pour billions of dollars into Ukraine, but everyone can see that isn’t going to be enough to alter the trajectory of the conflict. The only way that Ukraine will be able to win is for NATO to intervene directly, and that is dangerously close to becoming a reality. For example, politicians in Germany actually want to use NATO air defense systems based in Poland and Romania “to protect the western regions of Ukraine from Russian drones”… There is a proposal to use NATO air defense systems deployed on the eastern borders of the Alliance to protect the western regions of Ukraine from Russian drones. In particular, Poland and Romania could do this. This idea is supported by representatives of some German political parties, including the ruling Free Democratic Party (FDP) and the Union 90/Greens. According to the newspaper, the idea of using NATO air defense systems deployed in Romania and Poland and operated by NATO forces to shoot down Russian drones over Western Ukraine was proposed by Nico Lange, an expert at the Munich Security Council (MSC) and former NATO Deputy Secretary General, and was suggested by Lieutenant General Horst Heinrich Braus. According to Lange, this would create a 70-kilometer safe zone on the Ukrainian border. This could relieve Ukrainian air defense forces in other parts of the front. It is also being reported that the Germans are now considering conscripting all 18-year-olds… Germany is considering introducing conscription for all 18-year-olds, as it looks to boost its troop numbers in the face of Russian military aggression. Military planners in Berlin are in the final stages of discussing three options, two of which involve a form of conscription, according to leaked plans reported in the German media. I was stunned when I saw that. I don’t think that young people in Germany will be too thrilled about being forced to go into the military. But this is where we are at. NATO really is on the brink of a hot war with Russia. Speaking of NATO, the largest military exercises that the alliance has organized since the Cold War are being conducted right now… State-of-the-art attack helicopters today swooped in a show of force against Vladimir Putin for NATO’s biggest military exercise since the Cold War. British and US troops performed a land assault in Estonia, amid the threat posed by the Kremlin. They were supported by two of our Apache AH-64E attack helicopters, making their debut in an alliance exercise. Explosions rang out during the exercise, with troops simulating a battlefield scenario of seizing territory. Over two years on from Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the wargame took place under Exercise Swift Response. During the early stages of 2024, there has been a lot of chatter about the possibility of western troops being sent to Ukraine. If that happens, that will put us just one step away from nuclear war. What would you do if you were the president of the United States and you just learned that the Russians have launched their nukes? Whoever is in the White House when that day arrives will only have a very limited amount of time to decide… Once the president learns from his nuclear command and control team that he must act, he has only six minutes to respond. To “respond” means responding with our own nuclear weapons. President Ronald Reagan lamented in his memoir that six minutes is an irrational amount of time to “decide whether to release Armageddon! …Six minutes to decide how to respond to a blip on a radar scope…How could anyone apply reason at a time like that?” Yet, the president must respond anyway. In this six-minute window, the president must decide how many nuclear weapons to use and which targets to strike—while also being briefed on estimates of how many tens of thousands, or millions of people, would be instantly incinerated, with an almost equal number dying days, weeks, and months later from radiation poisoning. All this to consider under a literal ticking clock. As I keep warning my readers, the Russians have been feverishly preparing to fight a nuclear war for many years and we have not. If the Russians launch missiles from ultra-quiet submarines parked just off our shores, the nukes will start hitting before they can even get the president out of bed. It is imperative that we avoid such a scenario, and that is why I have been pushing for a peaceful solution in Ukraine for a long time. Unfortunately, no peaceful solution is even being considered. Leaders on both sides are absolutely obsessed with “winning” this war, and that means that “nuclear Armageddon” is getting closer with each passing day. My dear friend, the late Dave Hunt, gave an excellent session on the subject, which he was assigned to address at a conference. However, in his uncompromising, straight-ahead way of exposition, Dave changed the title of that session early on the morning of December, 1998, at the Pre-Trib Study Group gathering in Dallas from “Is the Rapture in the Olivet Discourse?” to “The Rapture Is in the Olivet Discourse.” He told us who were in attendance that he just couldn’t see how the Rapture of the Church was not in that tremendous prophetic teaching the Lord Himself gave as an answer to His disciples’ question: “What will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world [age]?” I have both the transcript and the audio of that session; they are treasures I pull out every once in a while to bolster my understanding of God’s Holy Word on the profound matters involved in the pre-Trib Rapture of believers. Jesus, in the discourse, gave a number of signals that would be prevalent at the time of His return to earth in the Second Coming. Mixed within His description of coming back in the Second Advent was the first phase of that return to the earth. The first things He said to look for were deception and deceivers. He went on to say there would be great upheaval among the populations of earth. There would be, He said, great ethnic strife. He further said there would be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. There would be pestilences and an increase of earthquakes in many places, He said; eventually, these terrible things going on would get so frightening that people’s hearts would fail them when they look at what is coming their way. He stated that the entire world of rebels against God and His order would increasingly come to hate both the disciples—who, of course, were Christians by this time—and the Jewish people. The people with reprobate minds (Romans 1:28) would think to kill both classes of those who are associated with God. For unbelieving Israel, the Jews of the seven-year Tribulation era, persecution by the one who will become Antichrist, the world’s final great dictator, would eventuate in the most terrible time in human history. It would be the same for those, both Jews and Gentiles, who will have accepted Christ for salvation during that horrendous time. Most of these would be martyred—many beheaded—for their belief. For those accepting Antichrist’s satanic mark (Revelation 13:16–18), the wrath and judgment of God would be even worse than for the martyred saints. So we come to Luke 21:28. Jesus commanded all who are alive when these signals become obvious to do the following: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. With this great commandment by the Lord Himself to look for these signals of His return in the first phase of His Second Advent–that is, when they begin to come to pass—we must consider whether we’re now witnessing the pre-Trib trigger points to the Rapture of the Church. The things we’ve seen “coming to pass” for quite some time include the following: Deception in every direction we look. Just the political deception alone is in our faces daily. But the lies coming even from governmental institutions, attempting to change America into anti-God mindset, cannot be missed. The seas of humanity are roaring; there is great ethnic upheaval. Protests are no longer peaceful, but are turning into physical battles, especially among the young on the campuses of higher education. Much of this turmoil is being fomented by the very professors who are supposed to be teaching the young. The hatred of the Jews is on the rise as it was in the late 1930s of Nazi Germany, bringing to mind our Lord telling about the hatred that would eventuate. Zechariah’s words (Zechariah chapter 12) are being borne out. Israel and Jerusalem are becoming a “cup of trembling” and a “burdensome stone” for the entire world. Additionally, we see the stage being set for Antichrist controls once the Rapture takes the Church to Glory. Artificial intelligence, fused with demonically inspired acumen, will give Satan’s man of sin godlike powers in the eyes of those left behind on earth to suffer under Antichrist’s rule. And, of course, there is the unmistakable pre-Trib trigger point of looming globalism storming upon the world scene in preparation for that son of perdition. Antichrist will take over when the Restrainer resident within the Christians who are with the Lord in the Rapture no longer holds back evil. Antichrist’s dictatorship is even now in its late stage of development, as the following analysis indicates. Planetary Emergency Over the last couple years, the phrase “planetary emergency” has become increasingly used by the United Nations and aligned organizations to describe their belief that the planet is passing from various states of crisis to emergencies from which humanity might not return, unless drastic action is taken. We have even seen the release of opinion pieces calling for “a formal declaration of a ‘planetary emergency’ by the UN General Assembly at the Summit of the Future in September and the activation of an ‘emergency platform.’” The calls for declaration of an emergency have also reached the White House. Last week, Bloomberg reported the Biden administration is considering declaring a climate emergency. “White House officials have renewed discussions about potentially declaring a national climate emergency, an unprecedented step that could unlock federal powers to stifle oil development,” Bloomberg wrote. White House spokesperson Angelo Fernandez Hernandez told Bloomberg that Biden “has treated the climate crisis as an emergency since day one.” (“UN 2.0 Coming This Fall—Setting the Stage for Global Government,” Derrick Broze, Activist Post, May 1, 2024) All we must do is observe the anti-Semitism—the growing, worldwide hatred of Jews—to know we are very late in the final hours of this Age of Grace. I believe that soon Jews in America will become so fearful as to want to move to Israel, where God’s Word says all of Israel will eventually accept their Messiah. Now, of course, that means only the prophesied remnant of Israel will believe and be saved to go into the Millennium under the King of all kings. But the things that are coming against Jews of America at this very moment look to be something that will only grow worse in the prophetic sense. Likely this movement to Israel in total won’t happen until all Christians have gone to be with Christ. Few defenders of Israel will be left once the Rapture happens. And all the pre-Trib trigger points seem to be in place for that to occur very, very soon. Whether Jew or Gentile, here is how to go to the Lord Jesus Christ when He calls all believers to Himself, thus fulfilling His promise of Revelation 3:10: That if you will confess with your mouth the lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. On my street alone, we have people who celebrate Halloween, for example, with all sorts of decorations. Then for Christmas, some just repurpose those very same decorations by putting Christmas lights on skeletons sitting on their front porch. They are still there in May! And television…commercials alone normalize people walking around in their underwear and advertising inappropriate things that decent people would never speak of, even to their closets friends. The “world” is truly unholy. We of faith are exposed to it, bombarded with it. How are we to be holy? The idea of holiness coveys the realm of the holy as entirely separate from the natural world, and implies goodness, righteousness, and perfection. As is written in Isaiah 5:16, “But the LORD of hosts is exalted through justice, God the Holy One is consecrated through righteousness.” We are called to be holy, and fit for relationship with God. Therefore, those who are called to come into His Presence, must also be holy. God told Moses before giving the covenant in Exodus 19:5-6, “Now if you will pay careful attention to what I say and keep my covenant, then you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples, for the earth is mine; and you will be a kingdom of priests for me, a nation set apart.” This is repeated for believers in Christ in 1 Peter 2:9 callings us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. We are called to be separated, sanctified to God. There are several aspects of sanctification. The first occurs at the time of our salvation. It is the setting apart of the believer for the holy work of God. Next is the cleansing and purging of all that is not of God by the Holy Spirit—which is an ongoing process! From the moment we are born again of the Spirit, we are sanctified. From God’s perspective, we belong to Him, and although we are not yet perfected, Christ’s holiness is added to our account. As Christians, we must understand that our sanctification is finished because Christ fulfilled all the Law by giving us His life as a ransom. There is nothing we can add to or take away from our sanctification position before God. We are now chosen vessels God has set apart from the world through the Messiah, for His purpose and His glory. The final aspect of sanctification, takes place when Christ returns and we are completely delivered from our sinful nature into a resurrected incorruptible body. Until then, we are works in process working with the Holy Spirit, we offer our lives a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2). And we are encouraged to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord. Paul said it well in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all with unveiled face, beholding in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.” The holy then, is truly miraculous! It transcends time and space, bringing a bit of heaven to earth—into our very hearts. No matter what we see when we walk down the street or watch on TV or otherwise, we are called, sanctified and set apart as holy unto the LORD. May we be vigilant in our walk with the LORD. They look like adult rattlesnakes in miniature. And while they may appear rather harmless, they’re mean from birth. Worse yet, a baby rattler’s venom is more potent than that of an adult rattler. We often will look at sin in the same way. Though it may not look like a big thing, it will bite us. And once compromise has worked its way into our lives, it permeates every area. Jesus warned about this very problem in the parable of the yeast. He said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough” (Matthew 13:33 NLT). In Scripture, yeast (or leaven) always has negative connotations. When the Israelites were preparing to leave Egypt, Moses instructed them to get rid of all the yeast in their homes in preparation for the first Passover (see Exodus 12:15). Picking up on this picture, the apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth, “Your boasting about this is terrible. Don’t you realize that this sin is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old ‘yeast’ by removing this wicked person from among you. Then you will be like a fresh batch of dough made without yeast, which is what you really are. Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:6–7 NLT). The Living Bible puts verse 6 this way: “What a terrible thing it is that you are boasting about your purity and yet you let this sort of thing go on. Don’t you realize that if even one person is allowed to go on sinning, soon all will be affected?” Some of the Corinthian believers had been proud of the fact that they had welcomed a person who was living immorally into the church. Paul was saying, “This is not what you should be doing. This is not the way you should be living.” Yeast represents corruption, infiltration, and compromise in our lives. In Scripture, it’s always negative. Jesus warned the disciples, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees” (Matthew 16:6 NLT). Little things can turn into big things. The psalmist wrote, “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened” (Psalm 66:18 NLT). In other words, if we hang on to sin in our lives, God will not hear our prayers. Is there sin in your life that you haven’t dealt with? Do you think it’s a secret? Do you believe that you’ve covered your steps? Secret sin on Earth is open scandal in Heaven. There are no secrets with God. He’s aware of it. You may have rationalized it and somehow managed to find a way to live with it. That could be the compromise in your life, the very thing that could bring you down. Get rid of it before it undermines you spiritually.
