Angels are God’s created messengers. They have intelligence (2Cor. 11:3), emotions (James 2:19) and exercise independent will (2Tim. 2:26). They are spirit beings, but even though they don’t have bodies they sometimes take on physical bodies. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Heb. 13:2 That’s quite the statement. Have you ever wondered about who in the room might not be human? In addition to being God’s messengers, they also worship Him (Heb. 1:6), rejoice in what He does (Job 38:6-7) and are instruments in God’s judgments as we have previously seen in Rev. 7:1 and 8:2. Angels are immortal and therefore don’t get old and die. They don’t have to study God’s Word as they have lived it. They’ve spent 6000 years observing humans, so they have a good idea of what to expect in all situations. Lucifier was one of God’s three special Archangels. The other two are Michael and Gabriel. These Archangels had favored positions. Gabriel says that he: stands in the presence of God, Luke 1:19 One of the more interesting Biblical accounts of an Archangel delivering a message was when Gabriel was in human form and was bringing God’s answer to Daniel’s prayer. On the way to Daniel, Gabe got into a three-week fight with the demon Prince of Persia. Apparently the dark side didn't want anyone to know the answer to this prophecy about the last days. Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, Dan. 10:14a Michael had to come help out Gabe and they finally delivered God’s message to Daniel. The entire account is in Daniel Chapter 10. So this tells us that Satan loathes us learning last-days Bible prophecies. He doesn’t want God’s peeps to figure out they have great hope for the future. Satan wants us fearful and afraid of the future. On a side note, it’s interesting that one of the characteristics of the famous Proverbs 31 woman is that she is pointedly not fearful. She is not afraid … Prov. 31:21a Lucifer (whose name means the “light bearer”) is, of course, the angel who revolted. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you. Ezek. 28:15 We call him Satan or the devil. His sin was rooted in “pride” of his beauty and wisdom. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. Ezek. 28:17 Most of what we know about Lucifer from scripture directly contrasts the characteristics of our Creator God. God is love, Satan is evil. God is all truth, Satan is a liar. God wants healing, Satan wants sickness, etc. Any problems we have in our lives can all be traced back to “Lucy.” He lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden and has been lying ever since. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44b In light of all that's going on today, don't miss Satan's first named characteristic is murder. So it’s not surprising that just like we see in scripture the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, in the Tribulation we also see a false trinity—Satan, the Beast, and the False Prophet.
Jesus received His power from the Father. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.” John 4:34 The beast/dragon/anti-Christ receives his power from Satan. And the dragon gave him (the beast) his power and his throne and great authority. Rev. 13:2b Just as Jesus had 3 1/2 years on the earth to glorify God, heal people, and do good things, Satan will have 3 1/2 years on earth to glorify Satan, make people sick, and do horrible things. A Satanically possessed world leader will dominate the first 3 1/2 years of the 7-year Tribulation, conquering nations with nuclear weapons (Rev. 6:4c), drugs (Rev. 6:2), economic collapse via inflation (Rev. 6:5), and with food rationing via famine (Rev. 6:6, 8). And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority. Rev. 13:2b At the mid-point of the Tribulation, after half the population of earth has already died (Rev 6:8; 9:18), the world leader will appear to die from a head wound. I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, Rev. 13:3a What happens is that the world leader lies dead for three days on a street in Jerusalem. At that time, Satan is banished from his heavenly realm and is cast to the earth. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” Rev 12:12b Satan is a spirit and needs a body. So he indwells the 3-day-old dead corpse of the world leader, bringing it back to life. He claims he is the risen Messiah and demands to be worshiped. and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; Rev. 13:3b The Jews, having been taught both the Old and New Testaments for 3 1/2 years by the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, won't buy the Messiah claim. Then a major prophesied event happens. Satan, in the body of the slain world leader, breaks the 7-year peace treaty by standing in the Holy of Holies in the rebuilt Jewish Temple demanding the sacrifices be stopped. And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week [7 years], but in the middle of the week [3 1/2 years] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; Dan. 9:27 Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Matt. 24:15-16 Those Jews who have been studying the New Testament know when they see the Temple desecrated by Satan, they have only moments to flee town or die. Many immediately run with only the clothes on their backs. Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Matt. 24:15-21 It’s a massive massacre of the Jewish race by the hands of Satan. That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it. Zech. 13:8 Two thirds of the Jews die in one day—roughly 7 million. IN ONE DAY! Those that got out of town early and survived end up at Petra, Jordan, protected by God for 3 1/2 years. We know they are protected in Petra because at the end of the Tribulation they’re in Bozrah (Is. 63:1). And Petra is a quite-rocky place that has zero green vegetation and is located in the middle of Bozrah. Enter the rock and hide in the dust… Is. 2:10 Men will go into caves of the rocks and into holes of the ground… Is. 2:19 Satan then continues the death and destruction of the planet while God plummets the earth with His 7 Bowls of divine judgment. It’s hard to imagine what that would be like. The carnage ends when Jesus returns. He first stops in Petra and wipes out Satan’s world armies who are marching from the Valley of Armageddon to wipe out the Jews. Jesus defeats Satan; it’s not really a battle. The Antichrist/Beast and the False Prophet are cast immediately into the Lake of Fire. And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. Rev. 19:19-20 Then Satan is bound for 1000 years in the abyss, not the lake of fire. God still has one more thing to use him for so he’s not yet sent into the lake of fire because it's a one-way ticket. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, Rev. 20:1-3 From there Jesus goes to the Mount of Olives just outside the Old City of Jerusalem. His feet touch down at the same place He left from on the Mount of Olives 2000 years ago. They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11 Jesus’ arrival on the Mount of Olives sets in motion an amazing chain of events. The Mount of Olives, no small mountain, splits north and south creating a large valley. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. Zech. 14:4 This incredible division of the Mount of Olives sets off a worldwide earthquake so strong that all the mountains around the world are flattened and the islands sink in the seas. And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty…And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Rev. 16:18, 20 Mount Moriah is then raised up to be the highest mountain. Now it will come about that in the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; Is. 2:2 It’s from this raised mountain that the Lord will rule and reign over the earth for 1000 years. The valley formed from the Mount of Olives splitting will be called the Valley of Jehoshaphat. It’s there where Jesus will judge the nations, the Judgment of the Sheep and Goats. I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. Joel 3:2 It’s very interesting that one of the issues Jesus will judge at that time is that God’s land had been divided. But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; Matt. 25:31-32 Satan is allowed one last stand at the end of the 1000 years, to filter out the dross one more time. 1000 years is a long time and apparently earthlings will forget all that was learned in the Tribulation. And, of course, we know Satan will have had a 1000 years to think about new lies to deceive people when he’s released. Since people in the Millennium will continue to be born with the sin nature, it will be duck soup for Satan to once again deceive the nations of the world. When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city [Jerusalem], and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Rev. 20:7-10 So Satan is sent to the Lake of Fire to join the Antichrist/Beast and the False Prophet. Of course Satan won’t be able to see them in the dark. But he’ll probably be able to hear them wail. Can you imagine an eternity of flames with no hope of escape? And it all started with Lucy wanting to be god, not worship the God who created him. I think it’s fascinating that Satan can read these scriptures for himself. He knows what his ultimate fate will be. His evil runs so deep he wants to take as many humans with him as possible into those eternal flames. Satan knows his time is short and his fate is sealed. We look for our wonderful rescue, but he can only see his doom. That’s what we’re up against between now and the Rapture. We, thankfully, are comforted because our future is secure. TYJ! CQLJ! That same group of people, the Jews, would be responsible for giving us the Book of books, which is the Bible. In God’s Word, we see that there are two kingdoms—God’s kingdom and Satan’s kingdom. Satan has done everything he could to destroy the Jews in the past because of those two promises from God—which would result in not only the blessing of the Jewish people but the entire world. Those may have already been fulfilled, but God still has outstanding promises to the Jews, and Satan is still trying to destroy them today. That’s why we’re watching a war, again, unfold in the Middle East. Quite honestly, this war is something we’re not used to seeing. What we are seeing isn’t just a war about redrawing some lines on a map—this is a war where the goal of one side is to eradicate the Jewish people. Ignorance And Marxism Most of us have seen videos of individuals conducting interviews/surveys with Pro-Hamas supporters. Throughout these videos, we learn just how ignorant the activists are of the barbarity they are supporting. In one video, the young man asks people on the street if they would like to sign a petition to “help Hamas free Palestine.” People immediately said, “Yes.” After they agreed, the man read out the “terms and conditions” of what they were deciding to support: By supporting Hamas and Freeing Palestine, you agree to the following: You agree that every Jew, Christian, and non-Muslim in the world must be slaughtered. You endorse making homosexuality punishable by jail or death. You believe Iran should use Palestinians as puppets to spread radical Jihad and destroy the West. You support strict Shariah Law, which bans women from showing their knees and hair, playing sports in public, and not being able to travel without a man’s permission. You want a terrorist organization that beheads babies and rapes girls to replace the only democracy in the Middle East. Maybe there’s a reason we don’t want Hamas ruling the world! After hearing these things, the individuals admitted they could no longer support the petition. But why did people immediately say “yes”? It is because we have been infiltrated in America with a Marxist idea that there are only two classes of people: The power brokers (who got power through some evil means—stealing, coercion, or some sort of ethnic cleansing) and those who are oppressed. Out of these two categories under this Marxist concept, they automatically join with those who are oppressed. God puts people in places of authority to suppress evil, but we don’t talk about that in Marxism. Why? Because it’s from the kingdom of darkness. It’s anti-Christian, and it is always going to be anti-Israel. Once you start to view the world through that lens, you don’t need the facts. You don’t need the details. You simply need to see who’s in power and who appears oppressed. Then, you automatically take the moral high ground and cheer for those who are oppressed. Back in the Dark Ages, people couldn’t read; therefore, they were easily manipulated by everything from religious leaders to political leaders. Reading matters! It helps us understand what’s happening around us. It allows us to think analytically. We are seeing all across America that our children are taught Marxism rather than being taught how to read. There are school districts right now in Southern California where more than 98% of the kids could not read at grade level when they graduated. This is tragic and manipulative! America Is Not Untouched There are people, speaking of the war in Israel, who say, “Well, this is far away in the Middle East. It doesn’t affect us.” How about a teacher of 23 years in New York City who was met with a riot at her high school because she was found to have attended a pro-Israel rally? That happened in an American city, and it could be your city next. America is not untouched by this. On the Golden Gate Bridge, there’s a big American flag; it was taken down, and a Palestinian flag was put up. Similarly, in Fresno, California, their city council decided to take down the American flag, put up Palestinian flags, and play their national anthem—not our national anthem. In Oakland, California, a lady tried to use the bathroom at a restaurant. Three employees blocked her off. Now imagine if they said you can’t use this bathroom because you’re white, Asian, or black. Do you think people would be upset? Well, these three stood there and said you can’t use the bathroom because you’re Jewish. That happened in America. These are the days in which we are living. We need to support Israel. Why? Because God made a promise, a declaration, that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed (Genesis 12:3). God keeps His promises. We can see God intervening on behalf of the Jewish State. God has always done miracles for the preservation of Israel to show Himself strong. The global pandemic treaty will give the World Health Organization far more authority than it had during the last pandemic, and a lot of people are deeply concerned about how that power will be used during the next major health crisis. As you will see below, two more human cases of the bird flu have just been confirmed. If the bird flu mutates into a form that can spread easily from human to human, that will create an enormous amount of fear, and the death toll could potentially be catastrophic. In such an environment, what sort of extreme measures would the World Health Organization decide to institute? In recent weeks, negotiators have been feverishly working to finalize the global pandemic treaty. The following comes directly from the official WHO website… Governments of the world today agreed to continue working on a proposed pandemic agreement, and to further refine the draft, ahead of the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly that starts 27 May 2024. Governments meeting at the World Health Organization headquarters in Geneva agreed to resume hybrid and in-person discussions over coming weeks to advance work on critical issues, including around a proposed new global system for pathogen access and benefits sharing (i.e. life-saving vaccines, treatments and diagnostics); pandemic prevention and One Health; and the financial coordination needed to scale up countries’ capacities to prepare for and respond to pandemics. Here in the United States, the mainstream media has been strangely quiet about this treaty, but it is a really big deal. Negotiations have been taking place for the last two years, and the plan is to submit the final draft for a vote at the World Health Assembly at the end of this month… The Member State-led Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) was established over two years ago to take this effort forward. The Bureau of the INB, which is guiding the process, will submit its outcome for consideration at the World Health Assembly. INB Bureau Co-Chair Dr Precious Matsoso, from South Africa, said progress had been made during this latest round of discussions on a wide range of issues contained in the draft agreement. “We are witnessing history play out before our eyes during this process, with the coming together of all countries to decide a binding pact to protect all citizens of the world,” said Ms Matsoso. “This is not a simple exercise. This is the first ever process to develop a proposed agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response. Getting this done means getting it right, and the INB Bureau is committed to help finalize a meaningful, lasting agreement.” The 77th World Health Assembly will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 27th to June 1st. Member nations will cast their votes on the final draft of the global pandemic treaty, and it is fully expected to pass. We have been told that the global pandemic treaty has been “watered down”, but in reality all that has really changed is that some language in the treaty has been made more vague. If this treaty passes, when the next pandemic erupts the WHO will be running the show, and most people in the general population do not realize this. And the next pandemic may be a lot closer than most of us think. On Wednesday, the CDC announced that there has been another confirmed human case of the bird flu in the United States… The U.S. has documented the second case of bird flu in 2024, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Wednesday. Health officials identified the avian influenza case in a Michigan dairy farm worker. This is the second time a case has developed in a person working with dairy cows. The virus appears to have developed under similar circumstances as it did earlier this year for a farm worker at a dairy in Texas. A nasal swab for the infected person tested negative for influenza, however, an eye swab from the patient tested positive for bird flu, indicating an eye infection, the CDC said in a news release. So far, the two individuals in the U.S. that have been infected in 2024 have both been dairy workers. There may be many more dairy workers that have been infected, but at this stage a lot of those that work in the industry are very reluctant to get tested… Farmers have been reluctant to allow federal health officials onto their land to test potentially infected cattle amid uncertainty about how their businesses would be impacted. Farmworkers have also been reluctant to participate in screening, and experts said it’s likely due to a mix of fears over job loss, immigration status, language barriers and general distrust in public health systems. Meanwhile, we just learned that H5N1 is responsible for the deaths of four more cats… Four more cats have died of H5N1 bird flu in the United States, including two pets in South Dakota with no links to poultry or dairy cows, according to state and federal officials. At least 14 cats have recently died of bird flu. Of the newly reported cases, two were domestic cats which died at a property in Campbell County in South Dakota, according to a state official and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Beth Thompson, the state’s veterinarian, said there was no livestock on the property where the pets died. “No other details regarding how the cats were infected are known at this time,” Thompson told BNO News. This is not good. If cats start getting sick and dying on a widespread basis, it is probably just a matter of time before the same thing starts happening among humans. We don’t know all of the details about these latest cat deaths, but it was being reported that cats that previously died from H5N1 in Texas experienced “brain hemorrhaging” and “blindness”. Does H5N1 have the potential to do that same sort of damage to humans? We need an answer to that question, because more human cases are popping up all the time. In fact, there has now been a confirmed human case in Australia… A child has been confirmed as the first case of H5N1 bird flu in Australia. The child contracted the avian influenza A infection while in India and fell ill in March this year, according to Victorian health officials. The announcement came hours after bird flu was detected on a farm in Victoria. Since 2003, more than 50 percent of the humans that have tested positive for H5N1 have died. Can you imagine the fear that will erupt if millions of people suddenly get infected? Global pestilences will play a major role in the era of great chaos that is coming. Just think about the panic that we witnessed during 2020, 2021 and 2022. If the next pandemic has a far higher death rate, the panic that we will see will be so much worse, and that is really bad news for all of us. Maybe the sin wasn’t considered really bad by human understanding, but was more gossiping or using our Lord’s name to cuss. After being born anew our way of life needs to change. We must repent and turn from sin. We must conform to Christ in thought, word, and deed. Unfortunately, we will always be subject to our sin nature and fall short of perfection. Thanks to Adam, sin is part of our life. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned;” Romans 5:12. Adam was not surprised that his sin caused the fall of creation because God had told him that eating the forbidden fruit would cause death. That death was spiritual and separated mankind from God. Adam willingly ate the fruit which God specifically told him not to eat, and found out that God was right about it bringing death. Ever since that first sin, people have blamed God for the results of our sin. That just isn’t right. God has given us guidance through Scripture so that we aren’t ignorant of His expectations for us. God gave the Law to Moses which gave rules for living. “Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” Romans 5:14. The Law couldn’t take sin away, but it was a teacher that taught what sin is. It also gave instructions for sacrifices to cover sin, but those sacrifices could never take sin away. Our sin nature is still very strong but God is stronger than any sin we might commit. From the ones we perceive as small (white lies) to the ones we see as huge (mass murder), there is no sin that God won’t forgive if we truly repent. “But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.” Romans 5:15. Adam sinned and we all face eternal death. God stepped into His creation and shed His blood on the cross, and He conquered death for all who repent and are reborn. The gift of grace is free, but has to be accepted. I don’t know about you, but I am very thankful for this free gift of salvation. I believe, and hope you do too. Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets, but we didn’t abolish them. God expects us to live moral lives according to Scripture. Today we have the Old and New Testaments to guide us. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17. If your life does not conform to God’s word, them you need to change your way of life. If you attend a church that preaches a watered-down Gospel, find a Bible-teaching, Christ-centered one. Use Scripture to guide you. Sin is never acceptable to God, but repentant sinners are. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9. Those are encouraging words from the Apostle John. Use Scripture to shine a light on your sin, then confess your sine to Jesus and ask to be forgiven. Don’t try to twist God’s truth to condone your sin. God never changes, and His word is truth. The gift grace and salvation is free, but there is a responsibility. We cannot work to earn our salvation, but we can show our appreciation to God by doing good works in His name and honor Him with our life. When you were a child, if your father gave you a gift and you treated it as if it was no big deal and you deserved it, would your father be happy with you? Or would he see you as a spoiled brat? The gift would still be yours, but your father would be disappointed in the way you treated the gift. God’s gift of salvation is more precious than any earthly gift we can receive. The treasures we have on earth will rust and decay. “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21. In this life we tend to look at what other people have and want those earthly treasures, too. We don’t appreciate what God has given to us, but covet what others have. There will always be someone who has more earthly wealth, and you’ll find that the more you have the more you desire. Honor God by being content with what you have, but seek Heavenly treasures. The thing to remember is that at the end of life, none of the wealth of this world will go with you to your final reward. “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36. Think about that. What have you done to get treasures of this world? Did you lie? Did you steal? Did you blame others for your own mistakes while climbing that ladder of success? I think of Hollywood stars, or famous musicians, and politicians, and always wonder how many sins were committed in order to gain that fame, fortune, and power. I also look at pastors of mega churches, and listen to the unbiblical things they teach. It may tickle ears and appease worldly lifestyles, but God’s truth is compromised. Go back and read 2 Timothy 3:16-17. They may be wealthy, but are they saved? That’s between them and God. As Christians we are to live our life to glorify God. My Grandmother always said “You can preach a better sermon with your life than with your mouth.” We want people to see Christ living in us and want the peace and joy we have in Christ to shine through. Christians need to love others, but in no way should God’s truth be compromised. How do we live life to honor God? Start by studying Scripture. Don’t take verses out of context in order to justify a favorite sin of which you don’t want to repent. Allow God to change you. Paul encouraged the Christians living in Ephesus “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;” Ephesians 4:17-18. It’s always tempting to follow the crowd. Everybody is having a good time so what will one wild party harm? For someone who is renewed and reborn, it’s easy to not fall into temptation because we have turned our life over to Jesus, so sex, drugs, and alcohol shouldn’t tempt us. Those parties are all fun and games until someone crashes their car and people are killed, or a baby is conceived and now you want to kill it. Even this behavior can be forgiven, but there must be true repentance. When we come to Christ, we repent and turn from sin. Sin really isn’t fun, but Satan can make it look that way. The truth is, there is no fun in drunken parties. Many people don’t even remember what they did, so how enjoyable is it really? It doesn’t honor Christ at all. Worldly people have hardened their hearts to Christ. “Who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness, but ye have not so learned Christ.” Ephesians 4:19-20. Those who don’t know Christ have no moral standard to guide them. What does “lasciviousness” mean? Basically, it means unbridled lust. On the other hand, Christians have Scripture to guide our path and lascivious behavior should not tempt us at all. Why would a Christian want to follow the world down the path of destruction? “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of you mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness, wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour; for we are members one of another.” Ephesians 4:21-25. Paul encourages those in Ephesus, and us, to listen to the teachings of Jesus and be changed, that is “put off the former conversation” The word conversation means your way of life. Old sinful ways are forgiven, and hold no sway over you anymore. You are a new person in Christ…you are renewed and reborn, so live like you love Jesus.. God is unchanging and what He wrote in Scripture is as true today as it was in times past. In our modern “woke” society, sin is accepted, even by “Christians”. Anyone who calls sin what it is, is considered a hater. People may change and accept sin, but God never changes. He will forgive repentant sinners, but won’t accept the sin. What if God did change? That would make Him capricious. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8. Consider this. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the great wickedness there. God had sent two angels to rescue Lot from Sodom before judgment was sent. When they got to Sodom, the men of Sodom wanted to sexually abuse them. The wickedness of Sodom was great and God had to stop it from spreading and corrupting everything. Lot had to leave the city before the judgment, but once he was safe, judgment came. “Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; and he overthrew those cities and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” Genesis 19:24-25. God was serious then about this sin of homosexuality, and He hasn’t changed His mind. Study Romans chapter 1 to understand that God hasn’t changed His mind. Today the “woke” people would have us accept this evil, and even some “Christian” denominations embrace this sin, but true Christians know why God judged Sodom and Gomorrah and that He doesn’t change. It is those of us who have been renewed and reborn who need to conform to God and His ways. He will forgive those who truly repent. Everyone struggles against sin, and most of us have a “past” that didn’t honor God. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. You may need to look up some of those words to understand what sins Paul is addressing. Corinth was a city engulfed with much sin. In spite of that fact, there were some who came to faith in Christ. Unfortunately, the congregation was “woke” and accepted sin and were proud of their open-mindedness. Paul took them to task and admonished them to turn from the wickedness. Before Paul met Jesus, he was a man filled with sin, but once he put off the old man and was renewed and reborn, he did mighty works for God. Today we benefit from the letters he wrote regarding Christian life. Those letters were inspired by the Holy Spirit and are a guide for how to live a Christ-honoring life. “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11. We need to be living sacrifices to our Lord. He sacrificed everything for us. Are you washed, sanctified, and justified? Are you renewed and reborn? If so, then start living your faith. Daily Jot: Stephanopoulos new book defines deep state as patriots - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com The former Senior Advisor to Bill Clinton and long-time Democrat operative George Stephanopoulos told ABC’s “The View” he interviewed some 100 “relatively young” duty officers who come from the CIA, DIA, the Defense Department and the military and “the big thing I learned doing this book is that the deep state is packed with patriots.” Considering that those “patriots” worked with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and the Democratic Party to fabricate the Russian influence hoax, spy on Donald Trump’s campaign and worked from positions in the FBI and CIA to undermine the Trump campaign and presidency, Stephanopoulos is confirming what many believed to be true. They are patriots to Democratic Party, not America. The news media is fawning all over its long-time darling Stephanopoulos for writing the book “The Situation Room; The inside story of Presidents in crisis.” He defends the people he says serve “the presidency, not the president” anonymously and in silence. His remarks expose how the underbelly of the Democratic Party views their mission, as Obama put it “to remake America.” One need to look no further than the entirety of the example of Trump’s campaign and presidency to discern how these “silent” workers shape regulations, interpret and enforce law, and influence the media. There is countless documentation of how insiders at the CIA, FBI, and Department of Justice, took aim at undermining Trump’s presidency. What the Democratic Party sees as patriots, others see as usurpers, traitors and Marxists. As another example, under Joe Biden’s direction the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) recently took steps to solidify the deep state (administrative state) with a rule to protect government employees from losing their jobs after a presidential election. The new rule is in response to Trump’s efforts when he was president to remove government employees who were advancing the administrative state rather than serving the will of the people. The rule protects thousands of government employees that Trump may have fired due to their efforts to use federal agencies to undermine laws, constitutional rights, and impose undue regulation and bureaucracy on citizens. The left had caught wind of a Heritage Foundation effort called The 2025 Presidential Transition Project (Project 2025). Project 2025 represents the first time in history conservatives have planned to systematically dismantle the unconstitutional Deep State. Project 2025 is recruiting, vetting and training over 4,000 conservatives to implement this vision. Project 2025 seeks to restore Constitutional government and rid the government of what Obama and Biden have done to “remake America.” The Democratic Party is attacking Project 2025 as a plan to implement American Fascism. Isaiah 32:7-8 speaks of how the devil devises wicked devices to destroy the poor, “But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands.” Let us pray the noble plan is guided by the hand of the LORD because what Stephanopoulos and the Democratic Party leadership calls patriots is highly questionable or noble. He had faith. He was doing the impossible. But then he started to sink. He took his eyes off Jesus, and he sank because he was afraid. Faith gives way to fear. And trust gives way to worry. In Peter’s case, he looked at the wind. In our case, it might be something else. But we forget God, and then we start to sink. Where faith reigns, fear has no place. Where fear reigns, faith is driven away. Faith and fear don’t like each other. Do you know certain people who don’t get along? Maybe you’re planning a family reunion, and you can’t invite certain relatives, because if they’re in the same room, they’ll have an argument. They just don’t mix. The same is true of faith and fear. When you bring in faith, fear will walk out the back door. And when you invite fear inside, you will drive faith away. Maybe that is happening to you today. So, what should you do? You should do what Peter did. When you’re sinking, call out to Jesus. Matthew 14:30 tells us, “But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. ‘Save me, Lord!’ he shouted” (NLT). Notice this says that Peter “began to sink.” He didn’t wait until he was four feet under to call out to Jesus. Sometimes we might be embarrassed to admit to God that we need help. But there is no shame in that. That is what we ought to do. Do you think Peter’s failure came as a surprise to Jesus? Hardly. The Lord knew all about Peter. He had his number. And He knew this about Peter the day He called him and gave him his new name, which meant “Rock.” Jesus knew what Peter would become. He didn’t just see him for what he was; He saw him for what he would be. And that is how God sees us. We see our shortcomings. We see our flaws. But God looks at us and says, “I see what you are going to be. I see a finished piece of art. You just see a blank canvas. I see a refined diamond. You see a lump of coal. I see what you will be.” Jesus knew that Peter would fail, not only on this occasion but later when Peter would deny Him. Peter’s failure came as no shock to Jesus. And neither does yours. Jesus immediately reached down and lifted Peter up. Then He said, “You have so little faith. . . . Why did you doubt me?” (verse 31 NLT). We can almost hear a tenderness in Jesus’ voice. Maybe you are sinking right now. You’re filled with fear, worry, and defeat, and you’re wondering what you should do. Follow the example of Peter and simply say, “Lord, save me!” He will not rebuke the person who is trying to come to Him by faith. Cry out to Jesus, and then watch what He will do for you.
