The World Needs to Wake Up to The Grave Consequences For Dividing Israel – By Robert Gottselig - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-world-needs-to-wake-up-to-the-grave-consequences-for-dividing-israel/
Ultimately, it is God who owns the land of Israel. In Leviticus 25:23, God says, “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine…” Seeing then that God owns the land, He can give it to whomever He chooses—and He has given it to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Period. Well, the world is ignorant, we know, of what God’s Word says. They certainly don’t fear Him, and thus, they make decisions based on their own thinking and debased minds. Such was the case when, just this past week, Ireland, Norway, and Spain decided they wanted to further divide God’s land by recognizing a Palestinian state. Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, in a speech outside government buildings in Dublin, stated: Today, Ireland, Norway and Spain are announcing that we are recognizing the State of Palestine. Each of us will now undertake whatever national steps are necessary to give effect to that decision. In the lead up to today’s announcement, I have spoken to a number of other leaders, and I am confident that further countries will join us in taking this important step in the coming weeks. This is an historic and an important day for Ireland and for Palestine. On the 21st of January 1919, Ireland asked the world to recognize our right to be an independent state. Our ‘Message to the Free Nations of the World’ was a plea for international recognition of our independence, emphasizing our distinct national identity, our historical struggle, and our right to self-determination and justice. Today we use the same language to support the recognition of Palestine as a State. How about that? Pressuring Israel to make peace with the people who wish them dead? That’s disgusting. Instead of standing with and supporting Israel to allow them to destroy the terrorist organization Hamas and their last Gaza stronghold in Rafah, they join with many others demanding an end to the war, which only allows Hamas to live and fight another day. To top it off, these nations are rewarding the Hamas’ demonic atrocities committed on October 7 while pressuring Israel to divide up their land once again for so-called “peace.” Let me tell you, Palestinian Authority (PA) president Mahmoud Abbas isn’t interested in two states. They, like the Palestinians, want one state—the state of Palestine—from the river to the sea, where no Jew can set foot in. That’s even what Spain’s Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Díaz called for just last Friday, May 24: We live at a time in world history where doing the bare minimum is both heroic and insufficient. That is why we cannot stop. Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea. Pretty sad, especially since the Palestinians technically already have a state—it’s called Jordan. It was originally supposed to be part of a Jewish state, according to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, which became international law in Sanremo in 1920, when the League of Nations met after the First World War. The Jewish people were promised a land in their ancestral homeland as the Allies carved up the Ottoman Empire after their defeat in World War One. This gave independence to Iraq in 1932, Syria in 1943, and Lebanon in 1944. Britain had the Mandate to see that the Jewish people also received their independence but betrayed them, instead carving up 82% of the land that was set for a Jewish state and giving it to the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, now called Jordan. There’s your Palestinian state! Today, most Palestinians even obtain Jordanian passports. When the British Mandate was coming to an end, the United Nations in 1947 further partitioned the remaining 18% into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jewish people accepted the plan and declared independence on May 14, 1948, but the Arabs, greedy for more land, waged war on the Jewish state—with ten-to-one odds in their favor—and they lost. They lost because God’s word said that He would regather His chosen people back one day into their land. It was His perfect timing and His perfect plan, and no one could stop it, not even Satan himself. You would think that the world would be a little wiser and know their history a little better before they make ridiculous statements like what we just saw. Unfortunately, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and if you don’t fear the LORD, this is what you get—leaders who have no idea what they’re talking about. Somehow, the world seems to think that if Israel simply returns to pre-1967 borders, everything’s going to be all right, and peace will come. That’s what US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau believe, amongst many other world leaders. Yet the Arabs and the Palestinians had the opportunity to a two-state solution on at least four occasions and rejected the offers every single time. Woe unto the nations that treat God and His land as though He doesn’t exist! As the world pressures Israel into a two-state solution, they ought to tremble because there are grave consequences for dividing God’s land. Simply look at Joel 3:1-2, which states, “For behold, in those days and at that time, when I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land.” When you look at Israel’s enemies of the past, what did they do? They didn’t sit at a drawing board and say, “Let’s give part over here to these people and part over here to the Jewish people. Let’s divide up the land for peace.” No. What did they do? They kept the land for themselves. Joel chapter three is speaking of our day. The first Partition Plan of a two-state solution came in 1937, then in 1947, then in 2000, then in 2008, and further calls right now. Nations are dividing up the land in our day—and they’re pressuring Israel to do so. It will intensify in the coming days, months, and years, ultimately leading to the peace treaty we read about in Daniel 9:27. There is a stern warning for the world in God’s word, as we have read in Joel chapter three. It should be a wake-up call to the nations because God is faithful to His promises. He is also faithful to the promise that he made 4,000 years ago, which is still relevant and in effect to this day, with Abraham: “I will bless those that bless [the Jewish people], and I will curse those that curse [them]” (Genesis 12:3). Wake up, world, and get on board with God’s prophetic plan for Israel! Two-State Solution Pressures Nation of Israel to Give Up Historic Territory of Israel: 'Theological Craziness' - Joshua Arnold - https://www.westernjournal.com/two-state-solution-pressures-nation-israel-give-historic-territory-israel-theological-craziness/ The so-called “two-state solution” for Jews and Arabs in Palestine is the Frankenstein’s monster of foreign policy. On May 22, Spain, Norway, and Ireland tried to animate this monster by recognizing a state of “Palestine,” which does not exist. “If you’re recognizing a Palestinian state, they have to have land. And that land that’s being advocated is Samaria and Judea … the so-called ‘West Bank,’” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said on “Washington Watch.” Knesset Member Ohad Tal joined Perkins to declare the proposed two-state solution theological “craziness,” in that it would “take the holiest sites [of Judaism] like Hebron, and Shiloh, and Bethlehem, and East Jerusalem and give it to the Palestinians.” In fact, the territories currently designated as “the West Bank” contain many of the towns and regions that readers of the Old Testament are used to thinking about as “the land of Israel.” These include, Shechem, Bethel, Hebron, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, Gibeon, Shiloh, Tirzah, and Samaria. To comprehend the full impact of Israel ceding this land, consider the significance of these cities through the biblical narrative. In Genesis, God called Abraham out from Mesopotamia and promised at Shechem to give his offspring “this land” (Genesis 12:6-7). When Abraham separated from his kinsman Lot at Bethel, God again promised to give him all the land he could see (Genesis 13:3-17). Abraham built altars at Shechem, Bethel (Genesis 12:8-9), and Hebron (Genesis 13:18). Abraham lived longest near Hebron, where he and his allies assembled for war to rescue Lot (Genesis 14:1-16), God established his covenant with him (Genesis 15, 17), his son Ishmael was born (Genesis 16:1-6,15-16), and Isaac’s birth was promised (Genesis 18). Abraham purchased a burial plot at Hebron (Genesis 23), where Sarah, Abraham (Genesis 25:10-11), Isaac (Genesis 35:27-28), and Jacob (Genesis 50:7-14) were buried. Jerusalem also features in the Abraham narrative when Abraham tithed to its king Melchizedek (Genesis 14:17-24) and when Abraham nearly sacrificed Isaac on the nearby mountain of Moriah (Genesis 22:4-18). Still in Genesis, Bethel was the site where Jacob famously dreamed of angels ascending and descending (Genesis 28:11-22). In that dream, God promised him, “The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring” (Genesis 28:13). When Jacob returned to Canaan, he bought land and built an altar at Shechem (Genesis 33:18-20), where his sons slaughtered the inhabitants (Genesis 34) and later pastured their flocks (Genesis 37:12-17). Jacob then returned to Bethel, where he also built an altar (Genesis 35:1-15). Bethlehem is first mentioned here in relation to the site of Rachel’s tomb (Genesis 35:16-21). In Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, the people of Israel do not live in Canaan, but those books focus on their promised return and conquest of the promised land. In Joshua, the people crossed into Canaan across from Jericho, which they spied out (Joshua 2) and then captured (Joshua 6). They established a camp nearby at Gilgal (Joshua 4:19-24), where they performed multiple religious observances (Joshua 5). The camp at Gilgal became a “home base” of sorts for the Israelite conquest of southern Canaan (Joshua 7:6-26, 9:6, 10:15, 10:40-43). Israel recited the curses and blessings on Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim outside Shechem (Joshua 8:30-35), as Moses had directed (Deuteronomy 27:1-8). Israel next moved against Ai, near Bethel (Joshua 7:1-5, 8:1-29). Then, their covenant with the Gibeonites (Joshua 9) became the occasion for a great victory at Gibeon (Joshua 10:1-14). Israel set up the tabernacle at Shiloh (Joshua 18:1), where it remained throughout the entire period of the Judges (Judges 18:31), until the ark was lost in battle (1 Samuel 4:1-11). There they apportioned the land (Joshua 18:2-10), with most of the West Bank falling to Judah (Joshua 15), Ephraim and Manasseh (Joshua 16-17), and Benjamin (Joshua 18:11-28). Hebron receives special mention as the allotment of Caleb, who had spied it out in the wilderness (Numbers 13:21) and returned to conquer it (Joshua 14:6-15) for a second time (Joshua 10:36-37). After completing the conquest, Israel renewed the Mosaic covenant at Shechem (Joshua 24). In Judges, Jerusalem was the site of military success and failure (Judges 1:8,21). The second judge Ehud (Judges 3:12-30) came from the territory of Benjamin, all of which is in the West Bank. The next judge, Deborah, operated near Bethel (Judges 4:5). Shechem was the home of Israel’s first proto-king, Abimelech (Judges 8:31-9:57). And Samson carried the gates of Gath to Hebron (Judges 16:3). The final narratives (Judges 17-21) both mention Bethlehem, where the events of Ruth occurred during the same period. In Samuel, the early chapters focus around Hannah’s petition, Samuel’s service, Eli’s unfaithful sons, and the prophecy against his house, all of which occurred at Shiloh (1 Samuel 1-3). Samuel operated as a judge around Bethel (1 Samuel 7:16). Many of Saul’s campaigns happened in a small area around the territory of Benjamin and Ephraim (1 Samuel 13:2). God rejected Saul as king and anointed David from Bethlehem (1 Samuel 16:13). At Hebron, David was anointed king over Judah (2 Samuel 2:1-11) and all Israel (2 Samuel 5:1-5). In the intervening civil war, Judah and Benjamin fought at Gibeon (2 Samuel 2:12-32), and Joab murdered Abner at Hebron (2 Samuel 3:20-30). Later, Absalom also launch his conspiracy there (2 Samuel 15:7-12). David’s first act as king over all Israel was to conquer Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:6-10), where he soon brought the ark (2 Samuel 6:1-15). From that point on, until the fall of the southern kingdom, Jerusalem was the focal point of most of the nation’s political and religious life. Although part of modern Jerusalem lies in Israeli territory, the city as it existed in David’s day, including the Temple Mount, lies in the West Bank. Jerusalem is the focal point in Kings, but many events also occurred elsewhere. Gibeon was the location of the tabernacle (2 Chronicles 1:13) and Solomon’s dream (1 Kings 3:4-9). Israel assembled at Shechem to crown Solomon’s son Rehoboam but rejected him instead (1 Kings 12:1-15). Israel chose Jeroboam, who initially lived at Shechem (1 Kings 12:25). Jeroboam introduced idolatrous worship through a golden calf at Bethel (1 Kings 12:29), which was later defiled by King Josiah (2 Kings 23:15). The prophet Ahijah pronounced both Jeroboam’s rise and fall, and he lived at Shiloh (1 Kings 14:2-16). Jeroboam eventually moved his capital to Tirzah (1 Kings 14:17), where Baasha (1 Kings 15:33), Elah (1 Kings 16:8), Zimri (1 Kings 16:15), and Omri (1 Kings 16:23) also ruled. (Tirzah’s location is uncertain, but the traditional site is in the West Bank). Omri then built Samaria and moved the capital there (1 Kings 16:24); Samaria also became a focal point for the wars of Syria and the prophet Elisha in Kings. Jericho was rebuilt in the time of Omri’s son Ahab (1 Kings 16:34), and a community of prophets lived there in Elijah’s time (2 Kings 2:5, 15-22). The last king of Judah, Zedekiah, was captured near Jericho, when he fled the Babylonians (2 Kings 25:5). Thus, from beginning to end, the ancient nation of Israel’s heartland was in the regions of Judea and Samaria, which today comprise the West Bank. Much of what did not occur in these regions took place across the Jordan River in what is now Jordan. In these regions, the returned exiles dwelt in Ezra and Nehemiah. In these regions the Jews dwelt up until the first century, when the Lord Jesus came and walked these very same roads. “That’s what they want to give away as a part of the two-state solution,” Perkins said. “How can Israel continue to be a country, defend itself if we take the heart of that land out and turn it into a Palestinian state? … That’s the heart of Israel.” It's Time to Replace our Main Computer! How you can help! Thank you!!! Dear Reader / Supporter, It’s that time, time to replace our main computer, it’s been five years since we last replaced our main computer, it has served us well producing hundreds of newsletters and countless hours of videos, but it’s starting to show its age and is becoming sluggish and sometimes unresponsive making everything I do take much longer than it should! Now, more than ever, especially trying to keep up with all the news and countless hours of research and exhaustive video editing and rendering, I need to access the speed and processing power of the newer generation of computers that are available today. Computers become outdated very quickly with the advances in technology that we’re experiencing today, five-year-old computers are considered ancient! A new system of the type that we use must have a lot of power to render the amount of video that we process and create, and they run about $3500 dollars. We need your help to purchase this system and I have set up a special donation link just for the computer. So, if you are able and willing to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it! You can use the link below or if you mail in a donation, please mark it for “new computer” – thank you so much! I pray this is the last new computer we will ever have to purchase, and the way things are going, that is a great possibility! Anything over our goal of $3500 dollars we will put towards new software, and upgrading our ever growing media library! DONATE HERE Or write us at: Prophecy Update P.O. It is no small feat to pile up a debt of $315,000,000,000,000, and we will never see a mountain of debt of this magnitude ever again after it comes crashing down. Even though delinquency rates are rising all over the world, as long as conditions remain at least somewhat relatively stable the game will be able to continue. Unfortunately, conditions won’t be relatively stable for long. Global events have started to accelerate significantly, and that is really going to shake things up in the months ahead. According to a report that was just released by the Institute of International Finance, the total amount of debt in the world has reached a grand total of 315 trillion dollars… The world is mired in $315 trillion of debt, according to a report from the Institute of International Finance. This global debt wave has been the biggest, fastest and most wide-ranging rise in debt since World War II, coinciding with the Covid-19 pandemic. “This increase marks the second consecutive quarterly rise and was primarily driven by emerging markets, where debt surged to an unprecedented high of over $105 trillion—$55 trillion more than a decade ago,” the IIF said in its quarterly Global Debt Monitor report released in May. We are in the midst of the greatest global debt binge in the history of the world. Household debt is at a level we have never seen before, business debt is at a level we have never seen before, and government debt is at a level we have never seen before… Of the $315 trillion debt stock, household debt, which includes mortgages, credit cards and student debt, among others, amounted to $59.1 trillion. Business debt, which corporations use to finance their operations and growth, stood at $164.5 trillion, with the financial sector alone making up $70.4 trillion of that amount. Public debt made up the rest at $91.4 trillion. For the moment, conditions are at least somewhat relatively stable, and so everything seems fine. But it won’t take much to push us over the edge. For example, during a recent interview with Greg Hunter, Chris Martenson suggested that a Chinese invasion of Taiwan could trigger a sudden meltdown of the bond market… In a new market meltdown, Dr. Martenson sees chaos and gives a hypothetical example: “China attacks Taiwan, and there is a 10 sigma move in the bond market. Oh no, all these derivatives have blown up. These people are supposed to be winners, and these people are supposed to be all losers. No, no, they don’t have any money for that stuff. It’s too complicated. I don’t think anybody understands how this works anymore. I could not find anybody who could tell me the whole thing. I could find people who knew bits and pieces, but they knew their slice. . . . I am trying to stitch this thing all together. I get uncomfortable when I can’t answer the most basic questions, and that is how much risk is there in the system and where is it?” In short, Dr. Martenson is worried about the whole financial system going down. Dr. Martenson says, “Yes, I am worried about the whole system going down, and that leads to all sorts of speculation. . . . Imagine this, we wake up one day, and the markets are not open on Monday. Oh no, glitch. Problem. Then, it’s two days and not open, three days not open. People are getting worried. Friday, and the markets are still not open. Monday comes, and they say it’s a super big problem, and we don’t know how to resolve it. . . . They offer you 100% value today in a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) account or you can wait it out and hope it gets resolved, and it might take a decade.” The moment that the Chinese invade Taiwan, the U.S. and China will be at war. This is one of the three major wars that I have been warning about for a long time. Unfortunately, the Chinese continue to become more aggressive toward Taiwan. In fact, late last week they conducted the biggest practice run that we have seen so far… China wrapped up a two-day, large-scale military exercise Friday after its forces deployed 111 aircraft and 46 naval vessels to areas around Taiwan. Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry said 82 Chinese military aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and some got very close to the 24-nautical-mile line that Taiwan uses to define its contiguous zone. The military drills, branded as a “punishment” for Taiwan’s new president, Lai Ching-te, who China views as separatist, focused on conducting joint sea-air combat-readiness patrol, joint seizure of comprehensive battlefield control and joint precision strikes on key targets involving China’s army, navy, air force and rocket force. Meanwhile, both sides just continue to escalate matters in Ukraine. It is being reported that French forces will soon be heading to Ukraine to help “train” Ukrainian troops, and that is a very ominous development… Ukraine’s military says it is ‘welcoming’ French trainers in Ukraine, in new remarks which strongly suggest that for the first time France is deploying its troops to Ukraine soil. This marks the beginning of major ‘boots on the ground’ escalation in a formal, public capacity by a NATO state. “Ukraine’s top commander said on Monday he had signed paperwork allowing French military instructors to visit Ukrainian training centers soon,” Reuters reported Monday, referencing head of the armed forces Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi. “I am pleased to welcome France’s initiative to send instructors to Ukraine to train Ukrainian servicemen,” Syrskyi said following video link talks with French defense minister Sebastien Lecornu. We are getting closer and closer to the day when western forces will be in direct conflict with Russian forces, and this is something that I have been warning about for many years. The third major war that will greatly shake the entire planet is the war that has erupted in the Middle East. Israeli forces keep going even deeper into Rafah, and the IDF and Hezbollah continue to exchange fire along the northern front. Eventually this war is going to escalate to an extremely dangerous level, and we could potentially see that happen by the end of this calendar year. In addition to military conflict, major pestilences are also a factor that could turn the global financial system upside down. Earlier today, we learned that over 4 million chickens at just one farm in Iowa will have to be destroyed because of a bird flu outbreak there… More than 4 million chickens in Iowa will have to be killed after a case of the highly pathogenic bird flu was detected at a large egg farm, the state announced Tuesday. Crews are in the process of killing 4.2 million chickens after the disease was found at a farm in Sioux County, Iowa, making it the latest in a yearslong outbreak that now is affecting dairy cattle as well. Last week, the virus was confirmed at an egg farm west of Minneapolis, Minnesota, leading to the slaughter of nearly 1.4 million chickens. Overall, 92.34 million birds have been killed since the outbreak began in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Please keep in mind that the figure that the U.S. Department of Agriculture is quoting is just for the United States. Overall, hundreds of millions of birds have been killed around the globe since the beginning of this pandemic. Let’s just hope that H5N1 does not mutate into a form that can spread easily from human to human, because if that happens our planet will be paralyzed by fear on a much higher level than we experienced during the last pandemic. It is also being reported that a hemorrhagic fever that can cause “Ebola-like bleeding” is rapidly spreading among rodents in northern Europe… A potentially deadly virus that can jump from animals to humans is already sweeping through northern Europe, putting the UK highly at risk. The horrifying virus can be transmitted from rodents to humans and cause Ebola-like bleeding, according to new research. Bank voles in Sweden carrying the pathogen have already infected two people, causing them to come down with a Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (VHF) – the same type of illness as Ebola. I will be closely watching for any human cases of that disease, because any type of hemorrhagic fever that starts spreading widely among humans would cause a tremendous amount of panic. On top of everything else, I believe that we should brace ourselves for unexpected natural disasters in the months ahead. For example, our sun has been exceedingly active lately, and we are being warned that more coronal mass ejections may soon be heading our way… Earth could be hit by another powerful solar storm this week that is predicted to trigger radio blackouts and incredible northern light displays. Earlier this month, the sun unleashed the most powerful streams of plasma, known as coronal mass ejections (CMEs), in 20 years, causing communication disruptions worldwide. The sunspot that caused the chaos has swung back around and released a powerful flare toward Earth’s region on Monday. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) a 60 percent chance of radio blackouts on Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week. Before this current solar cycle is over, I believe that solar activity will make a lot more headlines. So much is happening right now, but what we have experienced so far is just the tip of the iceberg compared to what is coming. It won’t be too long before we are being hit by one catastrophic event after another, and that is going to cause tremendous chaos for the global financial system. So take advantage of this period of relative stability while you still can, because we are moving into a time when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. Fruit-Bearing Faith - Nathele Graham - [email protected] Fruit trees are beautiful. They look very dreary until Spring comes and they burst with leaves and flowers. That’s only the start. As the year progresses, fruit begins to form and each tree will bring forth delicious, nourishing fruit. Before we come to faith in Jesus, life can be pretty dreary. Each day is just like the previous day, with no true joy. You might have had good things in your life, but no true joy. The reason for this is your life was as dreary as a fruit tree in winter. You were following the ways of the world, where there is nothing to look forward to except a dreary lifestyle. Jesus Christ and the promise of Heaven is joyful and, like a fruit tree in Spring, life becomes beautiful. Life has a purpose when Christ is on the throne of your life. “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.” Ephesians 5:1-2. The Apostle Paul knew what he was talking about. He was a very smart man and a member of the Sanhedrin. His father was a Pharisee, and so was he. The Pharisees were a Jewish religious sect that knew the Law of God, but not the grace and love of God. When Jewish people began to follow the teachings of Christ, Paul’s hatred burned. He was feared among the Christians because of his anger. Then, he met Jesus and his life was changed forever. Paul had been on his way to Damascus to arrest Christians who had fled there to escape persecution, but God intervened. In a miraculous turn of events, Paul met the risen Saviour and he was given a new outlook on life. It took many years, but eventually, he was called to missionary work. Unlike many modern day “missionaries”, Paul spread the Gospel and established congregations. He taught God’s truth. His life suddenly had a deeper meaning and a purpose; his anger and hatred were gone. Not everybody has such a dramatic call to faith as Paul, but everyone has a calling which is important to use for God. Paul urges us to follow God and walk in the love of God. In the letter to the Ephesians, Paul addresses spiritual warfare, and how to be ready for battle. You cannot be ready to battle the enemy if you are walking hand in hand with his evil. “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.” Ephesians 5:3-4. Sadly, many churches don’t disciple new Christians in their new-found faith, and preachers don’t want to upset the pew-sitters by addressing sin. That should not stop you from opening your Bible and letting the Holy Spirit guide you in living a Christian life. “For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.” Ephesians 5:5-7. This is very important for every Christian to understand. Don’t let yourself be deceived by anyone. There are leaders in the mega-church movement, as well as in small country congregations who don’t preach Biblically sound truths, but try to say that God knows hearts, so it’s not up to us to judge. That’s not what Scripture says. Sin is clearly listed in Scripture. There is a fine line between being legalistic and living in the light of God. Jesus was harshly judged by the religious leaders for healing a man on the Sabbath. He pointed out that they knew the letter of the Law but not the heart. “If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:23-24. Even though circumcision would be “working on the sabbath” it was required by law, so deemed as permissible on the sabbath. Jesus healed a man and was criticized for His compassion. The Pharisees deemed this as works. Judging by appearance is never right, but using Scripture to judge righteously, is important. Sin is not acceptable within congregations, so yes, it must be judged with a righteous judgment. To live a fruitful life in Christ, the fruit we bear is our faithful service to Jesus, and hopefully soul-winning. If we say we accepted Christ but remain unchanged by our faith, then we will never make a difference to the Kingdom, and will remain as dreary as a fruit tree in winter. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. If you say you are a Christian, do you know what that means? We all are subject to our sin nature, passed down through the ages by Adam’s sin. We are separated from God. Jesus entered His creation to give us the only way to be reconciled to God. To be forgiven of our sins, we must turn to Jesus and repent. We cannot say “I was baptized as a baby so I’m saved”. You have to make the decision and choose to follow Christ. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9. Do you know any baby that can do that? A baby can’t, but you can. Confessing to a priest will do you no good. You must confess to Jesus and ask Him to forgive your sin. Then it’s time to start living a new life in Christ. Put off the old way of living. If you are in any sexual relationship other than a one man/one woman marriage, end that relationship immediately. If you are associating with drug users, gang members, or anyone who embraces sin, end those ties immediately. I don’t know many pastors who disciple new Christians, and that’s sad. You have a Bible, study it. There are many, many good Bible teachers to be found. There are also many poor teachers to be avoided, such as anybody who teaches New Age beliefs, or that it’s ok to hold onto your sin as long as you know Christ. If you truly know Christ you will repent of sin and turn away from it. Read Scripture and memorize it. Then, live to honor God. How do we have a fruit-bearing faith? First, stop living a worldly life. Repent of your sin and pray for God’s help in overcoming the sin you’ve embraced. Ask a Christian friend to help you. All of us have sinned, so every Christian should be understanding about what you’re going through. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” Romans 3:23-24. Thank God for His grace. There are quite a few “lists” in Scripture that describe living in a worldly way. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21. If there are words you aren’t familiar with, look them up or look in a good modern translation. For instance, the word “witchcraft” comes from the Greek “pharmakeia” which is drugs. These are things that the world accepts as normal, but are considered sin by God. When you repent of your sin you will find new joy in life, and you will begin to show fruit of the Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23. Notice that the worldly things are plural, “…works of the flesh”, but the “…fruit of the Spirit” is singular. All of the fruit of the Spirit is available to you at once, but you can’t have fruit-bearing faith if you are holding tightly to the works of the flesh. Isn’t it time for you to begin to bear fruit? Rather than being like a dying fruit tree that is stuck in the cold, dreary winter, start living a fruit-bearing life through faith in Jesus Christ. Daily Jot: The prophetic warning to Iran, Biden and the Church - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com On Sunday, May 19, reports came out of Iran that Iran’s dictator president Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and a host of other Iranian officials and bodyguards had experienced a “hard landing” when their helicopter went down. Turns out that the hard landing actually was a crash that killed all on board. Iranian news agencies reported that Raisi and others had been “martyred” because they were killed in service to their people. Known as the “Butcher of Tehran” for his brutality to dissidents and women, Raisi also was an outspoken enemy of Israel and the United States. In fact, Iran is funding Hamas, Hezbollah and other terrorists in the war against Israel. In his death, there may be prophetic lessons. With that as the background, this untimely end to Iran’s extreme and radical leader should be a warning sign not only to the extremists in terrorist-led Iran, but also to Joe Biden, the United States and the church. In Genesis 12:3, the LORD said of Israel, “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Raisi and his minions may well have suffered at the hand of God because of what they are doing and have done to Israel. Most certainly, there is historic documentation when leaders in the US go against Israel, there is usually a natural, political, or economic disaster that follows. Americans, brace yourselves because Biden has been part and parcel to Iran’s and Hamas’ funding for “humanitarian purposes” that has allowed these terrorists to war against Israel. There are “replacement” theologists which many mainline churches follow that contend that Christianity replaced the Jews as God’s chosen people. They assert that Israel of today is not the Israel of the Bible, not God’s covenant land. They further claim that modern Israel is so sinful and against the precepts of God, that it is disqualified from being the Israel of the Bible. This is a very false and dangerous theology—one held at the risk of divine retribution, an example we have seen with Raisi and the US is experiencing as a nation in crisis. Throughout the Bible, we see that God uses the nations to chastise Israel for its turning away. But because of the harshness of those nations against Israel, they too, are judged and chastised. Examples are found in Zechariah 12, 14; Ezekiel 38, 39; Joel 3; Jude 1; Jeremiah 25; Revelation, and many more. In the prophetic end times, the Holy Scriptures are very clear that Christ returns to restore Israel and the Jews are once again and forevermore His people and He will be their God. In Ezekiel 39:28-29, the LORD says, “Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, says the LORD God.” Many will say that Raisi got what he deserved and they rejoice at his death for his life was evil. But will there be the same rejoicing among those chastised for their replacement doctrine and for their leaders that say they support Israel, but are actively working against her? Something to ponder. Daily Devotion: Our Cross to Bear - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. —Matthew 16:25 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/our-cross-to-bear/ - Listen The cross today is a symbol for many. When we see a cross on top of a building, we conclude that it must be a church, because to us, the cross is a symbol of the Christian faith. But for others, it is a fashion accessory. It means a variety of things for a variety of people. In the first century, however, even the word cross was offensive and bothersome because the cross represented a painful death. The Romans didn’t invent the cross, but they took crucifixion to another level. They designed it to cause pain and torture. There were more efficient ways to execute someone, but for the worst criminals, the Romans used crucifixion. They nailed them to crosses, which resulted in a slow death. This served as a warning to anyone who dared to revolt against the power of Rome. It wasn’t uncommon to see crucified men on the roads leading into Roman cities. So, when Jesus told the disciples that He would die on a cross, it meant something to them. But then He made it even more personal. He said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it” (Matthew 16:24–25 NLT). Jesus wasn’t merely addressing these words to the disciples in the first century. He was addressing them to disciples in every century. To “give up your own way” means to put God’s will and desires above your own. Selfish people will find this outrageous, even offensive. Narcissists need not apply. In day-to-day living, “take up your cross” means to die to yourself. Sometimes people describe whatever difficulty they have in life as their cross to bear. A mother might say, “My children are really trouble. But that is my cross to bear in life.” And the mother’s children no doubt will say, “Our mother? Well, that is our cross to bear.” You might have a difficulty you’re facing, so you say, “Well, we all have our crosses to bear, and I guess this is mine.” And while we will have our challenges and problems in life, that is not what Jesus meant. In the first century, if you saw someone walking through the city carrying a cross, it meant only one thing: that person was about to die. Therefore, when we read that we are to take up the cross and follow Jesus, it means that we are to die to ourselves. We don’t hear messages about this very often. And maybe the reason the church today is so weak and anemic is that we don’t know that much about cross-bearing. Maybe if we stopped trying to be so much like the world, the world would start wanting to be more like us. Are we really carrying the cross today? Are we really dying to ourselves? This is what Jesus is calling us to do.
