Prophecy Update: The Eternal Chain - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2024/06/01/the-eternal-chain-by-daymond-duck/
On May 17, 2024, Joel C. Rosenberg (author, speaker, editor-in-chief of ALL ISRAEL NEWS) posted an article about his recent interview of former Israeli Prime Min. Naftali Bennett (one hour long; recorded by a TBN television crew for THE ROSENBERG REPORT). Rosenberg’s first question for Bennett was do you believe that modern-day Israel is a fulfillment of ancient Biblical prophecies? Here is Bennett’s interesting reply:
Later in the interview, Bennett told Rosenberg he believes Israel is specifically the fulfillment of the prophet Ezekiel’s vision of the “Valley of Dry Bones,” found in Ezekiel 37. This writer has long known that:
Even though I have known these things about Israel’s past, present, and prophesied future, I have never heard it referred to as an ‘eternal chain,’ but that is what it is. Today, radical Muslims are denying the permanent nature of God’s eternal chain. They think it is a chain that Allah can break, but God’s eternal chain is unbreakable. The UN, EU, US, and others also deny the reality of that eternal chain (by ordering the Two-State Solution), but God will feed the bodies of their soldiers to the fowls of the air at the Battle of Armageddon (Joel 3:2; Rev. 19:17-18). Prophecy expert Amir Tsarfati said, “The push for a Palestinian state illustrates the spiritual blindness of our days.” I agree and will add that God will intervene in global affairs at the end of the age.
Hear the Word of God:
“Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him” (Psa. 2:1-12). Perhaps God used Netanyahu to give a prophetic message to the world (I don’t know), but on May 23, 2024, Netanyahu said: The days when Jews are slaughtered and are defenseless are gone. They’re not going to repeat. That’s because we always say no more, never again. Well, never again is now. The heathen (unsaved; campus mobs; paid agitators; godless world leaders; lost Muslims) rage; they are thinking worthless thoughts and planning to do the impossible because the days of a defenseless Israel are gone and never again is now; and Israel’s past, present, and prophesied future is an eternal chain that can never be broken. (More: On May 29, 2024, it was reported that pro-Hamas groups are calling for an Intifada (uprising; demonstrations; rage) in every capital and city around the world). Here are current events that seem to indicate that we are close to the end of the age. One, concerning the coming world government and efforts to break the eternal chain (what God said about Israel’s past, present, and future): on May 24, 2024, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to immediately halt its military offensive and other activity in Rafah. In essence, the court, which has no authority to enforce its edicts, told Israel it must obey the UN. CNBC asked Israel’s government for a comment on this, and Israel’s finance minister said, “Those who demand that the State of Israel stop the war demand that it decree itself to cease to exist. We will not agree to that.” (My opinion: The Bible teaches that the Church will be removed by the Rapture before the Antichrist is handed control of a world government, and there is now a world court that thinks it can order a nation to obey the UN. Incidentally, I believe Israel’s finance minister is right: The court is trying to destroy Israel, but the eternal chain cannot be broken.) Two, concerning deception: on May 27, 2024, the great Hal Lindsey wrote:
Here is a link to his entire article: https://harbingersdaily.com/the-great-gaza-deception-hamas-is-not-only-a-terrorist-group-but-a-gang-of-thieves/ Three, concerning world government: on May 22, 2024, it was reported that 2 dozen governors of Republican states in the U.S. sent a letter to Pres. Biden, saying they are opposed to the International Pandemic Treaty because:
(Update: The WHO has admitted that it could not get enough votes to approve the International Pandemic Treaty. Passage of amendments to the International Health Regulations also appears to be in trouble. This is great news, but we are living in evil times, and there is fear that there could be another created pandemic to revive these issues.) Four, concerning the willful ignorance of world leaders, hatred, and false accusations against Israel at the end of the age: on May 21, 2024, it was reported that a veteran analyst at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy reported that Hamas has taken in the equivalent of about $500 million since attacking Israel on Oct. 7, by seizing and selling humanitarian aid to the Palestinians. According to the analyst, “We (the Biden administration) need to start creating reality instead of this fruitless discussion about what will happen the day after” (the day after the war with Hamas ends). (My opinion: Just days after Iranian Pres. Raisi’s death in a helicopter crash, the UN General Assembly is preparing to pay tribute to him, but it ignores the fact that many called him the Butcher of Tehran, that he headed a death commission that killed thousands of Iranians, that he supported Hamas’ kidnapping, torturing, and killing of Jews on Oct. 7, 2023, etc. The UN remains silent about Raisi attacking Israel with about 400 drones, rockets, and missiles. The UN makes it easy to believe that world leaders will select a Satan worshipper – the Antichrist – to head up the coming wicked world government.) (More: Following Raisi’s funeral on May 23, 2024, Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei vowed to keep his promise to destroy Israel.) (More: On May 27, 2024, it was reported that Hezbollah said it does not intend to stop attacking Israel from Lebanon because they believe the Biden administration will force Israel to stop the war before the upcoming U.S. presidential election.) Five, concerning the Biden administration’s betrayal of Israel, on May 23, 2024, prophecy expert Amir Tsarfati wrote:
(My opinion: Insane, yes, but also unchristian, evil and hypocritical.) Six, concerning who the land of Israel really belongs to, a pro-Israel group recently held a meeting (called the Israel Summit) at the Dave Ramsey Center in Franklin, TN, to show support for Israel in its war with Hamas. Many in the media were present, and several Jewish politicians, entertainers, orthodox Jews, and Messianic Jews participated. Some attendees were given 2 patches that Israeli soldiers are wearing on their uniforms in this current war. One patch has a crown on it and the word “Messiah” in Hebrew (the crown represents the King of Israel; some Jews believe their Messiah will be their King). The other patch has a portion of a building on it and the word “Temple” in Hebrew (the building is a symbol of the rebuilt third temple). The Jewish soldiers are showing a lot of religious fervor as they fight for their coming Messiah and the right to rebuild the temple on the Temple Mount. (My opinion: I love the fact that Israeli soldiers are willing to fight for the Messiah and to gain full control of the Temple Mount, but I am also saddened by this because I believe the Jews will accept the Antichrist and resume the animal sacrifices at the rebuilt temple before they realize that their Messiah and King is Jesus who was crucified on the cross for all who believe. Nevertheless, it is a significant move along God’s eternal chain.) Seven, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: on May 27, 2024, it was reported that Hezbollah expects to soon have new long-range precision missiles that have been made in Russia and modified in Iran. They also expect to receive new surface-to-air missiles to shoot down Israeli planes. (Note: No weapon that is formed against Israel shall prosper; Isa. 54:17.) Eight, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on May 26, 2024, it was reported that the U.S. is planning to lift its ban on the sale of offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia in the coming weeks (to help Saudi Arabia in its war with the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen). Nine, concerning a potential Psa. 83 war, Egypt is one of the nations mentioned as an enemy of Israel in Psa. 83. Some prophecy teachers reject the idea that Egypt is an enemy of Israel because they have a peace treaty. On May 26, 2024, highly respected commentator Carolyn Glick wrote:
Here is a link to Glick’s entire article: https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/390540?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email (More: On May 27, 2024, there was an exchange of fire between Israeli and Egyptian troops near the border crossing at Rafah. A member of Egypt’s security forces was killed. Israel is investigating the incident.) Ten, concerning a digital ID, a digital currency, tracking all buying and selling, etc., the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill to block the Federal Reserve from creating a CBDC. But it may not pass in the U.S. Senate, and if it does, Pres. Biden may veto it. (Note: Here is a link to an excellent video about the coming digital ID and more – 46 min – that I highly recommend: https://rumble.com/v4xr3qt-maria-zeee-digital-id-mandates-roll-out-worldwide.html ). FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6). Finally, are you Rapture Ready? If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this. [email protected] The PA, Hamas, and Hezbollah Will Always Refuse To Accept The Existence Of A Jewish State – By Chris Katulka - https://harbingersdaily.com/the-pa-hamas-and-hezbollah-will-always-refuse-to-accept-the-existence-of-a-jewish-state/ The Arab-Israeli conflict is often perceived as a highly intricate issue involving a multitude of historical, political, and social elements. You’ll hear journalists and professors claim, “It’s a complex situation,” or “It’s extremely complicated.” Navigating history’s ever-shifting landscape can be complex, as each day brings new developments; but the overall conflict is simple to grasp. Terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and factions of the Palestinian Authority (PA) refuse to accept the existence of a Jewish state. That is why tensions still exist between Israel and the Palestinians and many Arab nations. Lebanon (established 1943), Syria (1946), Jordan (1946), and Israel (1948) were all formed within the same decade as a result of the dismantling of the Turkish Empire after World War I. However, Israel is the only country on that list whose right to exist is disputed. When Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan acquired independence, no neighboring countries stormed their borders or contested their sovereignty. Why was Israel not afforded the same recognition? The answer is simple: Israel is a Jewish state. Today, Israel’s neighbors no longer strategize how to use their military force to destroy the little Jewish country; but Iranian proxies occupy Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank, and Gaza to plot against Israel and execute acts of terror to remind the Jewish people they are not wanted. Hamas Hamas, whose name is an Arabic acronym for “Islamic Resistance Movement,” was founded in Gaza as an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the late 1980s. Iran has funded Hamas violence against Israel since the early 1990s. Hamas’s sole purpose is to promote Islamic ideals of Palestinian nationalism through a policy of jihad (armed struggle). Hamas minces no words: It considers Israel to be Islamic territory. Therefore, any international policy or peace negotiations that promote Jewish sovereignty in the land will lead only to “carnage, displacement and terror,” according to Article 31 of the Hamas Charter of 1988.1 The Charter blatantly calls for Israel’s annihilation and the genocide of the Jewish people. In 2017, the terrorist organization attempted to rebrand itself by tempering some of its extremist language; but its actions speak louder than its words. Two seismic events gave rise to Hamas’s power in Gaza. First, in September 2005, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon unilaterally gave Palestinians complete autonomy and control of the Gaza Strip by expelling all 8,000 Israelis from their homes in 21 settlements there and turning the area over to the Palestinians, per the Oslo Accords. Jews had lived in Gaza for centuries. It was part of the territory apportioned to the tribe of Judah during the days of Joshua (Josh. 15:47). Second, with Gaza and the territories in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) now in Palestinian hands, Hamas, for the first time, ran for election in 2006 as an official political party. It won handily. The victory led to a Palestinian civil war that divided the West Bank from Gaza, giving autonomy of the West Bank to the PA and Gaza to Hamas. The Gaza Strip is no stranger to territorial conveyance. From 1917 to 1948 it was under British rule, followed by Egyptian rule from 1949 to 1967. Israel governed the area from 1967 to 2005, after which the Palestinians took over. A Hamas presence still remains in the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip has become a base for terrorism. True to its Charter, Hamas has launched tens of thousands of rockets into Israel; built more than 300 miles of tunnels; and murdered thousands of innocent Israelis to fulfill its mission of “carnage, displacement and terror.” Hezbollah As Hamas remains an everyday threat to Israel in the south, Hezbollah (Arabic for “the Party of Allah”) does the same in the north. Its violence against Israel started during the Lebanon War in 1982. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979 that deposed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was a friend of the West, Ayatollah Khomeini rose to power. He sought to spread his Islamic ideals across the Middle East. Lebanon was ripe to import Khomeini’s Revolutionary Guard Corps to develop an Islamic movement because its government was fractured, and the country was suffering a strenuous civil war. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) partnered with Lebanese Christians to defeat the Palestinian militants in southern Lebanon. Yet Hezbollah’s power and influence increased in Lebanon, and its military wing is said to have grown larger than the Lebanese army. Some even call Hezbollah a state within a state. Today, Hezbollah holds power in the Lebanese government and advances its message through radio, television, and social media. After the Second Lebanon War in 2006, Tehran consolidated Hezbollah’s power under the leadership of Hassan Nasrallah. Nasrallah, educated in Iran, funds and directs Hezbollah’s hostilities toward Israel on Lebanon’s southern border. Hezbollah embraces a religiously motivated hatred toward the Jewish people, which drives its antisemitic tropes, Holocaust denial, and terrorist activities. Today, the Tehran-backed terrorist organization possesses 150,000 rockets to target Israel, many with guided systems to hit IDF bases and civilian targets. The Palestinian Authority Hezbollah and Hamas are both deemed terrorist organizations by many countries, but they are also political parties. Their elected representatives govern the Lebanese and Palestinian citizens. The PA, however, is not a political party. It is the governing body of the Palestinian people in their territories. It was originally called the Palestine Liberation Organization and was headed by terrorist Yasser Arafat. The PA was established by the 1994 Oslo Accords that provided the framework for a two-state solution. For two states to live side by side, each must have its own government. The Israelis have the Knesset in Jerusalem. So, Oslo created a limited self-governance for the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. On May 4, 1994, Israeli security forces started withdrawing from the newly arranged Palestinian territories, transferring authority to the PA. Today, the PA oversees the territories in the West Bank. Since no elections have been held since 2006, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has remained Arafat’s successor for nearly two decades. Abbas is now 88; and with a disapproval rating of 80%, it seems most of the Palestinians want him to resign. Then the PA would be forced to hold elections, which could lead to a Hamas victory in the West Bank and more organized terrorism in the heart of Israel. The Oslo Accords also produced the Palestinian National Security Forces (NSF), an internal Palestinian police force. Israel and the NSF coordinate on security issues, counterterrorism operations, and intelligence sharing, primarily against Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad activities in the West Bank. The relationship has been strained for years, leading Israel to take a more active role in counterterrorism efforts in the Palestinian territories. Abbas, however, believes, “If we give up security coordination there will be chaos here. There will be rifles, and explosions and armed militants popping up everywhere and rushing at Israel. Without the coordination, a bloody intifada would break out.” Yet the PA shells out nearly $3 million a month to Arab families of terrorists killed attacking Israelis. These payments only encourage more terrorism. There is as much uncertainty about the future of the Palestinian territories in the West Bank as there is about the future of the Palestinians in Gaza. Whom will they elect in the coming years? Will they choose a leader who wants peace with Israel or one who will turn the West Bank into another launching pad for terrorism? Meanwhile, tiny Israel remains surrounded by enemies in the north, south, and east. Today, Iran is Israel’s greatest threat. In Tehran they chant, “Death to Israel!” as Iran funds and trains terrorists and supplies powerful weapons to Hezbollah and Hamas on Israel’s borders. We don’t know what Hamas will look like in the future, but it’s unlikely that its antisemitic, anti-Israel ideology will disappear. That is why we must turn to the God of Israel, who promises Israel will never be destroyed (Jer. 31:35–40). God said, “I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. They shall be My people, and I will be their God. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul” (32:37–38, 41). To that we say amen and amen. PROPHECY UPDATE VIDEOS

I know that many on the left cringe when they read a statement like that, but it is true. For most of our history, the population of the United States was overwhelmingly Christian, and the values that governed our society were primarily Christian values. But of course everything has changed in recent decades. When Barack Obama boldly declared that “we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation” in 2009, he was speaking the truth. We are no longer a Christian nation and we haven’t been for a very long time. So if we aren’t a Christian nation at this point, what exactly are we? According to the Pew Research Center, 64 percent of Americans still considered themselves to be “Christians” in 2020… About 64% of Americans call themselves Christian today. That might sound like a lot, but 50 years ago that number was 90%, according to a 2020 Pew Research Center study. That same survey said the Christian majority in the US may disappear by 2070. If nearly two-thirds of your people consider themselves to be “Christians”, that would seem to indicate that you are a Christian nation. But we obviously aren’t. Just look around. Many of the signs and symbols and messages that we see all around us are overtly anti-Christian. So what in the world is going on? Ultimately, there are lots of Americans that still identify themselves as “Christians” even though they have completely abandoned everything that Christianity represents. Joe Biden is a perfect example. He says that he is a “Christian” and he attends church regularly. But then the rest of the time he is working very hard against virtually everything that the Bible teaches. Of course he is far from alone. According to George Barna, 6 percent of Americans had a “biblical worldview” in 2020, and by 2023 that figure had dropped to just 4 percent… The first national study of Americans’ worldview since the COVID-19 lockdowns shows that the incidence of biblical worldview has fallen to a mere 4%—a drop of one third from the 6% recorded just three years earlier. In fact, the 6% benchmark measure recorded in January 2020 may prove to be the high-water mark of biblical worldview among American adults for the foreseeable future, according to a new report from the American Worldview Inventory 2023 from the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University. I wish that I could tell you that his numbers aren’t accurate. But I can’t. Barna says that there is a second group that has “a substantial number of beliefs and behaviors consistent with biblical principles”, but unfortunately that group fell from 25 percent of the population in 2020 to just 14 percent in 2023… The number of adults who don’t possess a biblical worldview, but still hold “a substantial number of beliefs and behaviors consistent with biblical principles,” has also fallen dramatically. Only one of every seven adults (14%) belong to the category of what Barna identifies as an “Emergent Follower.” That number was 25% only three years ago. When you add the first two groups together, it comes to a grand total of 18 percent of the population. That is just depressing. So what about everyone else? Well, just about everyone else would fall into Barna’s “world citizen” category… The bulk of the American adult population—82%—falls into the “World Citizen” category, described as people “who may embrace a few biblical principles but generally believe and behave in ways that are distinct from biblical teaching.” According to the report, this group has grown substantially from the 69% registered in 2020. I think that the term “world citizen” perfectly describes most people these days. Sadly, on at least some level the vast majority of the population has embraced the new values that are constantly being pushed on us by the western elite. And this is clearly showing up in the poll numbers. Survey after survey has shown that close to two-thirds of the U.S. population disapproves of the Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. Here is just one example… About two-thirds (65%) oppose the 2022 Supreme Court decision, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, and 34% approve, numbers that have remained effectively unchanged in CNN’s polling across the nearly two years since the ruling. Those who strongly disapprove of the decision continue to outnumber those who strongly approve by a more than 2-to-1 margin. We live in a country in which nearly two-thirds of the population claims to be Christian, but nearly two-thirds of the population also wants Roe v. Wade back. That doesn’t make any sense at all. Surveys on other topics tell a similar story. According to a Gallup survey that was conducted last year, 71 percent of the population approves of gay marriage, and a Gallup survey that was conducted earlier this year discovered that 22.3 percent of Generation Z adults now identify as LGBTQ+… Overall, each younger generation is about twice as likely as the generation that preceded it to identify as LGBTQ+. More than one in five Gen Z adults, ranging in age from 18 to 26 in 2023, identify as LGBTQ+, as do nearly one in 10 millennials (aged 27 to 42). The percentage drops to less than 5% of Generation X, 2% of baby boomers and 1% of the Silent Generation. Bisexuality is the most common LGBTQ+ status among Generation Z, millennials and Generation X. Fifteen percent of all Generation Z adults — representing more than two-thirds of those with an LGBTQ+ identification — are bisexual. What values are being relentlessly promoted by just about every major institution in our society? Is it Christ and His values that are being promoted? Or is it the opposite? At this point, even the U.S. military is systematically promoting values that are directly opposed to the values that we find in the Bible… Judicial Watch announced today it received 25 pages of records regarding drag shows, drag story hours and other pride events for military personnel and their dependent minors organized and paid for by the U.S. Air Force. The documents were obtained through a May 5, 2023, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) by Judicial Watch and CatholicVote Civic Action. The Defense Department issued at least half a dozen “no records” responses to the FOIA request prior to finally releasing these records. Jesus said that you would know a tree by the fruit that it produces. Needless to say, the fruit that America is producing is not Christian fruit. In fact, most of the fruit that America is producing is the kind of fruit that we would expect from an anti-Christ nation. But even in the midst of all the darkness, God is still at work, and amazing things are happening. For example, author John Burke has interviewed 70 different people that have actually been to heaven and have come back to tell us about it… Imagine all the love you’ve experienced in your entire life, from parents, spouses, friends, and family — and then multiply it by a thousand. That’s the kind of love experienced by people who’ve had near-death experiences. They report being in God’s presence. John Burke, the Texas-based bestselling author of “Imagine Heaven” and now the follow-up book, “Imagine the God of Heaven,” writes of the topic vividly. Together with his wife, Kathy, of Gateway Church in Austin, he is also the president of Gateway Leadership Initiative (GLI), a nonprofit organization. He and his family live in Austin. In an interview, Burke said he spoke with 70 “different people for ‘Imagine the God of Heaven’ — from every continent, every religious background. And yes, they encountered this God of light and love, but many of them also encountered Him as Jesus.” And all over the world, Muslims are having supernatural encounters with Jesus that radically change their lives… Uncharted Ministries has interviewed former Muslims who now follow Jesus, and many of them had supernatural encounters with Jesus during Ramadan. These former Muslims are sharing their stories of discovering Jesus as their savior and praying that others will have the same experience. Husein tells Uncharted Ministries that he was once a devout Muslim and extremely anti-Christian. But one year, during the week of Easter, Husein saw a Christian preacher on TV talking all about Jesus. He could not take his eyes off the broadcast. And then something supernatural happened to him. “Suddenly, the Holy Ghost fell on me! I looked up and Jesus was there in front of me. I’d been a devout Muslim but as soon as I saw Him it was like seeing an old friend that I knew before. And I knew it was Jesus. And I knew something else. I knew that He was the Son of God!” The God that created all things is still doing supernatural things in our day and time. But even though we have so much evidence staring us in the face, our society continues to run away from God as rapidly as it can. If we stay on the road that we are on, it isn’t going to lead anywhere good. America needs to change course while there is still an opportunity to do so, and the clock is ticking… Are we there yet? – Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2024/06/02/are-we-there-yet/ For those of us who have raised children, you might remember the question. There was a commercial, as I recall, that used the question to emphasize one product or the other in a humorous way. Children in the back seat of the car in the commercial kept asking “Are we there yet?” We who transported our young kids on those times–especially on longer trips to Grandma’s or other destinations–have heard that question, often in whining tones as time went on during the longer trips. I certainly remember hearing it. And I’m sure my parents heard it on those trips from Pekin, Illinois, where we lived when I was a child, on the road to Hampton, my grandparent’s home in south Arkansas. At this late moment of the Church Age I, myself, seem to be whining this question, and I’m hearing it from others on a growing basis. “Are we there yet?” It is coming from God’s children–believers in Jesus Christ who, like myself, sometimes grow weary, or vexed—as ol’ Lot might have put it while enduring to the end his time in Sodom. “Are we there yet?” That is, how long before we reach the end of our Lord’s tolerance for the evil flourishing all around us while we keep “looking up,” as my friend, the late J.R. Church, used to put it at the close of his Prophecy In the News TV program each week? Each and every day–actually, each and every news cycle—we’re inundated with end-times storm warnings. And it seems as if the words of warning from the chief prophetic meteorologist of all history is speaking directly to those who, as commanded by Him—are “watching” in order to discern where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. Jesus gave the signals to look for as earth’s inhabitants near the outbreak of history’s most virulent turbulence–that of the Tribulation era. The following is that storm warning. “Are we there yet?” Is that great storm of the ages about to invade at this particular time? Let’s listen again to that Heaven-sent forecast that we can rely on as 100% accurate, because it was issued by God Himself. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Matt 24: 6-13) Heaven’s forecast, of course, covers a broad scope of history, so many parts of this Olivet Discourse prophecy by Jesus apply to much of history that has already unscrolled. Let us very briefly dissect this warning first in terms of its broad, historical sense. “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars…” Hundreds of wars have afflicted humanity since Jesus spoke these words. The greatest wars of all time, World Wars I and II, have caused the deaths of millions. The Romans waged war on the Jews, the Temple was destroyed, and the Jewish people scattered to all the world. “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom…” As a matter of fact, it has been the ethnic disputes and warfare that have wrought the deaths of millions across the world. “And there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places…” Earthquakes have continued to rumble throughout history, while the wars have brought famine and disease to countless generations. We have seen lately in our brief time on the planet lately a tremendous increase in these things. “All these are the beginning of sorrows…” These great troubles have been accumulative, indeed been like birth pangs, growing more intense and coming in greater frequency. “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” The history of hatred of the Jews is in full view of the eyes of the world. The Nazi Holocaust is the number-one sign of history that highlights the satanic hatred God’s chosen people have endured. Their rejection of the very name of Jesus Christ and their being blamed for His crucifixion have been the basis Satan has used to incite the world against Israel. So history has proven the absolute accuracy of Jesus’ forecast. But it is the question ”Are we there yet?” I wish to address with regard to whether this generation has reached the moment when the Lord will say “enough is enough” and call believers to Himself so the greatest storm of all history can rage upon a world ripe for judgment. We must place the same template over what is going on at this very moment to try to help answer: “Are we there yet?” “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars…” The most profound threat of nuclear conflict might now be in the offing. Even the Cold War could not match the danger. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) was effective, as the world’s two greatest superpowers were able to control escalation into man’s final war. Not so now. There seems no control, as the power centers with the nuclear weapons are scattered around the globe and many decision-makers among the most diabolical of their leaders seem bent on having their way, regardless of possible ramifications of all-out nuclear war. The primary cause of the conflict again centers around ethnic differences and demands. Greatest among these conflicts is the hatred of the Jews and of Israel by their neighboring countries. And that hatred has expanded to include many within nations of Europe and even the United States of America. The seas and waves of peoples are roaring, in that the protests against the Jews and Israel are front and center in even what is generally considered the civilized west. At this very moment, even some among the Jewish people themselves are shouting along with the Israel-haters, “Stop the genocide” and “From the river to the sea.” As Jesus forewarned, these Jews on the politically ideological left are “betraying one another.” The genocidal rage is building swiftly toward another holocaust. Jesus also had a forecast about this evil that will mark the very end of the age. “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21). And hatred is building, too, against the Church–all believers in Jesus Christ and His message of being the one and only way to salvation (John 14: 6). The comment by a legal defense fund for Christian persecution states the following: Biden is empowering the radical Left to wage a surreptitious war on our Christian faith – prayer, churches, the Bible, and even Christian kids sharing their faith in school are all under attack. The Biden FBI has even placed spies in churches and targeted “radical traditionalist” Christians for investigation… We’re in court right now defending a teacher who was banned from praying anywhere a student might see her. I’ve never seen anything like it. (Jordan Seckulow, ACLJ Executive Director) While unbelieving Jews must undergo the Tribulation storm to bring forth a remnant that will bring about God’s great promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, believers of this Church Age (Age of Grace) will be taken (paralambano) to be with Jesus in the clouds of Glory–in the Rapture. All indicators are that we have come to be right smack in the breaking turbulence of Jesus’ forecast of the end-times storm. And this is why I believe we can answer with a resounding “YES!” the question: “Are we there yet?” Daily Jot: Are you blessed? - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com People often say they are “blessed.” What do they truly mean by that? When we hear actors or TV personalities say they are blessed, we might automatically draw the conclusion that they are Christians. That may or may not be the case. They may be thinking of a different type of “blessed” when they say they are blessed. Some people think they are blessed when they have the riches of the world at their fingertips. Or perhaps they think they are blessed because they got a promotion and more money. While these are certainly blessings at least on the surface, we as Christ followers should be looking to a deeper, more meaningful, concept of blessing—one that results from an intimate relationship with the LORD. In Leviticus 26 and 27, the LORD makes the promise that if His people are faithful to His covenant, they will enjoy all of the material blessings along with dwelling securely in the land. Leviticus 26:6 says, “I will give peace in the land—you will lie down to sleep unafraid of anyone.” The LORD would also dwell and walk among them, be their God, and they would be His people. He will supply “rain in due season.” Water was a source of great blessing because their very lives depended on the crops. This rain was called “rain of blessing.” Ezekiel 34:26 says, “I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Indeed, we read in Psalm1:1-3, “Blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don’t stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit. Their delight is in the LORD’s Torah; on his Torah they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams—they bear their fruit in season, their leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.” Torah means “instruction, teaching or law” and refers to the first five books of the Bible. There is blessing in putting God’s Word first in our lives. The greatest blessing of course, is that the Lord has promised His Presence, and to make us His own special people. Many Christian denominations state that they believe in the authority of the Old and New Testaments, while neglecting the study of the Torah. To understand the New Testament writings in context, we must remember that the Greek translations get their authority from the Hebrew Scriptures, not the other way around. The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show yourself worthy unto God” and in 3:15, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God.” The New Testament was not yet compiled. Paul was referring to the Old Testament Scriptures. The New Testament does not replace the Torah, but explains it further. Our blessing is not found in the riches of the world, but from the relationship we have with the LORD. As Jesus said in John 7:38, “He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from his most inner being.” See the connection? We experience these “showers of blessing” when we study and keep the Word of God. Daily Devotion: Life Beyond This Life - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ So he is the God of the living, not the dead. —Matthew 22:32 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/life-beyond-this-life/ - Listen Belief in the afterlife isn’t unique to our time. Almost every culture believes there is something beyond the grave. In Egypt, for example, archaeologists discovered a solar boat in the tomb of a pharaoh who had died five thousand years ago. The boat was intended for his use in sailing the heavens into the next life. Yet it’s interesting to note that in the time of Jesus, many of the Jews held an aberrant view of the afterlife. They didn’t look at what the Scriptures taught. When we read the New Testament, we tend to think of the Pharisees and Sadducees as one group. But in reality, they were bitterly divided. The Pharisees were what we might describe as the theological conservatives of their day. They believed in the teaching of the Scriptures. They believed in an afterlife and in a final judgment. The Sadducees, on the other hand, were theological liberals. They didn’t believe what the Scriptures said about a judgment or an afterlife. Nor did they believe there was any kind of resurrection. And they accepted only the first five books of Moses as inspired by God. As the aristocrats of Jerusalem, the Sadducees were largely in control of the temple. They also were responsible for the operation of the priesthood, and they obtained their wealth through the temple concessions of money changing and selling sacrifices. However, they weren’t very happy with Jesus because, on two occasions, He went into the temple and overturned their tables, saying, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!” (Matthew 21:13 NLT). One day, they came to Jesus with a provocative question: “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will carry on the brother’s name.’ Well, suppose there were seven brothers. The oldest one married and then died without children, so his brother married the widow. But the second brother also died, and the third brother married her. This continued with all seven of them. Last of all, the woman also died. So tell us, whose wife will she be in the resurrection? For all seven were married to her’” (Matthew 22:24–28 NLT). Jesus told them, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven . . . Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, God said, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ So he is the God of the living, not the dead” (verses 29–32 NLT). According to Jesus, there is life beyond the grave. He—and He alone—can address this topic with authority. “He is the God of the living, not the dead.” Those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ never die.
