‘Cut Them Off from Being A Nation’: Satan’s Efforts To Incite People Against Israel – By Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/cut-them-off-from-being-a-nation-satan-efforts-to-incite-people-against-israel/
The question that everybody’s asking is, “How come so many people all around the world are rising up to destroy this country and the people of Israel for no apparent reason ever since the dawn of history?” I believe that the answer is not anywhere else but in the Bible itself. In the Book of Psalms, Psalm 83 is giving, in my opinion, the answer for all of these questions. The Bible says in Psalm 83:1-2, “Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.” The enemies of God and those who hate God are up to do something, yet they cannot fight the living God, the God of Israel. Pslam 83:3-4 KJV – “They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” And so we can see that the battle is between the enemies of God and those who are God’s. And in their attempt to fight God, they come up against His people, His sheltered ones, Israel. And their obvious goal is to cut the name of Israel off so it’ll be remembered no more. The prayer of Asaph in Psalm 83 reminds us that there is “nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastics 1:9). Satan is always opposing what God is doing for, and through, His people. Whether it’s Israel or the church, the enemy roams like a roaring lion seeking to devour the people of God. Psalm 2:1-5 KJV – “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.” The current war in Israel is the age-old rejection of the Lord and His anointed in an effort to break the bonds of God’s authority and cast away any obligation to Him. Psalm 83:4-5 KJV – “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:” What the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 2 and Asaph prayed in Psalm 83 are what we are seeing today. Satan is trying to incite people against Israel to cut them off from being a nation, because God said through Amos that when He brought them back from the nations to which He scattered them, they would never be uprooted again (Amos 9:14-15). The One who sits in the heavens laughs at their efforts against Him and His Anointed. His Anointed is Jesus, the Holy One of Israel, the Savior of the world, the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Son of David, the bright and morning Star! We are watching what is very likely the final preparations for Satan’s hostile takeover of the world. His “man of sin, the son of perdition” is most probably waiting in the wings for his short-lived opportunity to rule the world. We could also be seeing the stage set for the Ezekiel war as animosity towards the Jews escalates. After all, Satan is an opportunist and is behind the mentality that will cause this coalition to have the boldness and justification, in their minds, to invade Israel. As our hearts break for the nation of Israel, as well as for this messed up and mixed up world, we have to remember that we know the end of the story. We know Israel will not be uprooted. We know there will not be a two-state solution. We know Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and Sudan will be soundly defeated when they conspire together against the Lord and His Anointed. God will not be silent about His chosen people and the land He gave them by unconditional and eternal covenant. We also know this: 1 Thessalonians 5:9 KJV – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” We are nearing the end of the generation that saw the regathering of God’s chosen people into their national homeland. Within that generation is the Time of Jacob’s trouble, also known as the 70th week of Daniel and the Great Tribulation. This is a time of God’s global wrath, which we, as born again Christians, do not have an appointment with. Hosea 5:15 KJV – “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.” The events we are watching unfold today in relation to Israel are a glimpse of the rampant antisemitism that will be dominant in the Tribulation. Yet this time of affliction will lead the surviving one-third of the Jews to finally see Jesus of Nazareth as the Holy One of Israel, their Messiah. Psalms 122:6 KJV – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Keep praying for Jerusalem and the Jews to come to know the only source of true peace, the Prince of Peace, Jesus of Nazareth, who is Christ the Lord. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus. The Iranians Seem To Believe That The War In The Middle East Is Going To Get Much More Violent - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/the-iranians-seem-to-believe-that-the-war-in-the-middle-east-is-going-to-get-much-more-violent/ Rumors that the war in the Middle East is about to go to the next level are flying all over social media right now. The Iranians and the terror organizations that they support absolutely hate what is going on in Gaza, and they have been preparing to take action. So will we see a major move soon? That is hard to say, because there is so much that goes into such a decision. But the former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards is publicly telling us that “in the coming days” we will see “additional fronts join the conflict in Gaza”… Amid threats from Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels to block Israeli ships in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, former commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Mohsen Rezaee, cautioned that “In the coming days, we’ll see additional fronts join the conflict in Gaza.” Rezaee told Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen, affiliated with Hezbollah, that “if the pressure on Gaza’s residents continues, the war will receive greater support. Hamas is not alone; it has the support of resistance forces in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.” So precisely what does he mean by “additional fronts”? I wish that I could ask him that question. Iran’s foreign minister also seems to have confirmed that this war is about to heat up. He recently stated that “the first stage of the war’s escalation has begun”… Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian echoed his statements, saying that “the first stage of the war’s escalation has begun via resistance factions making their own decisions. If all attempts to stop these crimes fail, all options are on the table, and the regional situation could shift.” By using the term “the first stage”, he is seemingly implying that more stages are coming. Without a doubt, I think that the mainstream media will be using the word “escalation” quite a bit during the dark days that are ahead. In fact, when the Houthis decided to hijack a cargo ship in the Red Sea, that was definitely an “escalation”… A cargo ship has been hijacked in the Red Sea by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels from Yemen, with up to 22 crew members believed to have been taken hostage. The Bahaman-flagged ‘Galaxy Leader’ is reported to have been boarded by armed men as it travelled south past the Arabian peninsula on its way to India this weekend. The vehicle carrier is registered under a British company which is partially owned by an Israeli tycoon, and is currently leased out to a Japanese company, according to reports. The Houthis are so proud of what they have done. In fact, they even released a video on social media that documented the hijacking… The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels on Monday released a video showing Sunday’s helicopter-borne raid on the Galaxy Leader, a Bahamian-flagged vehicle carrier transiting the Red Sea. The Houthis still hold the ship and its 25 crew members. A U.S. military official told The War Zone it is believed to be the first Houthi helicopter attack on a ship. The video opens with a view of a Houthi Mi-171Sh variant transport helicopter with what appear to be UB-32 rocket pods and a PKM light machine gun at the door flying toward the vessel. The helicopter – bearing the black, red, white and green Palestinian flag and the red, white and black Houthi flag – flies low over the ship stern to bow and then lands just long enough for at least seven armed Houthi fighters to jump out and board the Galaxy Leader before the helicopter flies off. The Houthis are a bunch of crazed Shiite lunatics, but they are only going to be minor players in this conflict. The real concern is what Hezbollah in Lebanon will choose to do next, and on Monday they reportedly caused “extensive damage” at a military base in northern Israel… A rocket attack from Lebanon has hit the IDF’s Biranit base in northern Israel, the IDF confirmed on Monday. Footage posted to social media shows extensive damage and fire caused by the devastating shelling. The IDF confirmed that rockets were fired at the base. Times of Israel correspondent Emmanuel Fabian reported on social media that Hezbollah is responsible. As long as Hezbollah limits their attacks to military targets, things won’t escalate too much. But once Hezbollah starts launching missiles at Israeli cities, we will definitely enter very dangerous territory. Once thousands of Hezbollah missiles start raining down on Israeli cities, the U.S. military will get involved, and the IDF will start hitting Beirut and other cities in Lebanon. On the southern front, the Israelis have been talking about expanding their operations into southern Gaza, and for now the Biden administration is publicly supporting such a move… A high-ranking White House official reacted on Sunday, telling CBS News’s “Face the Nation” that Israel has the “right” to expand its operations; however, he said the Biden administration still hopes such a plan is delayed while additional safeguards are put in place to avoid harming more civilians. US Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer said, “In the event that we believe that Israel is likely to embark on combat operations, including in the south, we believe both that they have the right to do that, but that there is a real concern, because hundreds of thousands of residents of Gaza have fled now from the north to the south at Israel’s request.” The further that the IDF goes into Gaza, the more enraged the Iranians and the terror organizations that they support are going to become. It appears to be just a matter of time before this war spirals completely out of control. What we have witnessed so far is just the beginning. In my new book entitled “Chaos”, I have an entire chapter entitled “The 3 Wars Of The Apocalypse”. We really have reached a point of no return, and all of humanity will be absolutely shocked by the incredible death and destruction that we will soon see. Deep hatred has been percolating in the Middle East for decades, and now it has reached a boiling point. If the Iranians were smart, they would stop now while they still can. But they aren’t going to do that, and as a result a nightmare scenario is about to unfold in the Middle East right in front of our eyes. 2023 End of the Year Support Donation Drawing Like most ministries, a large amount of our support comes from people giving during the last couple of months of the year. This problem has exploded in public since the satanic Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7. I think the letter is excellent and, like the author, I invite you to share it with others.—JF] An Open Letter to Those Who Have Been Taught That the Church Has Replaced Israel Dear Brother or Sister in Christ, If you are a member of a Catholic or mainline denominational church, you have probably been taught something called replacement theology (and perhaps you don’t even know it has that name). Replacement theology leads those who have adopted it to believe that Israel is no longer God’s people and that the modern regathering of the Jews in their historical land is theologically meaningless. Please know this is an error, and I write this letter to alert you to it so you can study God’s Word and reach your own conclusion. Replacement theology, sometimes called supersessionism or fulfillment theology, is a doctrine stating either that the Church took Israel’s place as God’s people when Israel rejected Jesus as its Messiah or that the “old” Israel was set aside in favor of a “new” Israel, the Church, upon Jesus’s first coming. No matter how it got there, the Church is now God’s people and the beneficiary of the promises God made Israel in the Old Testament. Consequently, Jacob’s blood descendants have no unique destiny, and modern Israel’s existence has no significance. Because replacement theology is often woven into otherwise sound teachings on redemptive history, many believers aren’t even aware that it is a separate doctrine with its own name. Nonetheless, replacement theology is enshrined in Catholic dogma and runs rampant in mainline denominations, even among those that otherwise take the Bible seriously. Replacement theology raises troubling implications about God’s character, not the least of which are: if God revoked his promises to Israel, what keeps him from revoking them again, and does God really change not (as Malachi 3:6 says)? Many who have been taught replacement theology have not considered these implications. Perhaps you have, too, but have dismissed them out‐of‐hand or rationalized them away, possibly because they are too dreadful to imagine. Unfortunately, ignoring the implications does not make them go away. Rather than addressing these (and other) broader implications, this letter will instead tackle the assumption that lies at the very heart of replacement theology: did Israel really forfeit its blessings? Did God really forsake or move past Israel? Fortunately, if you read the Bible without bias, it gives a clear answer. One point is worth making before proceeding: I don’t have the ability or the moral duty to force you to reject replacement theology. Only the Holy Spirit can convict. All I can do is call relevant scripture to your attention and invite you to check it out yourself. That is what I will now do. To keep this letter short and clear, I will rely only on two passages: Isaiah 6 and Romans 11. (If you are a Reformed believer, you tend to read Revelation figuratively, because you have been taught that it is “apocalyptic literature.” I will therefore deliberately avoid Revelation’s many passages affirming Israel’s destiny, knowing that you will be unwilling to read Isaiah and Romans figuratively.) I will cite the King James Version, but any good version will do. Isaiah 6 contains the well‐known “Here I am. Send me” passage in which Isaiah volunteers to convey a message God has for his people: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. (Isaiah 6:8‐10) God informs his people not only that they are hardened (deaf, blind and without understanding) and he is the one hardening them, but also that he has hardened them to delay their repenting and being healed. Note that God does not tell them why he wants a delay. When the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks “to them” in parables in Matthew 13, he quotes this passage of Isaiah 6: He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:” (Matthew 13:11‐14) Paul also quotes this same passage of Isaiah 6 in Acts 28, reminding the local leaders of the Jews that they are hardened. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (Acts 28:24‐27) Paul then discloses the reason why God hardened Israel, delaying its repenting and being healed: Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (Acts 28:28) According to Paul, God hardened Israel so the Gospel could be taken to the Gentiles. However, Isaiah 6 continues after the passage quoted in both Matthew 13 and Acts 28. God has more to say to Isaiah about his people. Returning to Isaiah 6, after hearing God’s decree against his people, the prophet begs God for an answer in verse 11, and God gives it to him: Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate. And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. But yet in [the land] shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof. (Isaiah 6:11‐ 13) God promises that he will lift Israel’s partial hardening during or just after a widespread devastation. This may be a great war, even a nuclear war given the extent and degree of damage. However, it may be a direct act of God, acting in wrath. Only he knows. Why then did Jesus and Paul’s quotations from Isaiah 6 stop short of verses 11‐13? The answer is that they were speaking in the First Century. Isaiah 6:11‐13 would be fulfilled in the future. They were only talking about Israel’s hardened condition in those days, and not about when it would someday repent. Remember, Jesus was only answering a question from his disciples as to why he was teaching in parables, and Paul was only making the case for taking the Gospel to the Gentiles. Now, let’s look at Romans 11, in which Paul answers the question his earlier chapters in Romans begged: if Christ is the answer and the law is not, what about the Jews, to whom God had given the law? Has God turned his back on Israel? I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. (Romans 11:1‐4) The answer is an emphatic “God forbid!” God will save an elect remnant of Israel, and God will save them by grace, not the law. To keep the Gentiles from being feeling superior to the Jews, Paul goes on to say: I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? (Romans 11:11‐15) Then, after describing how the holy firstfruits of lump of dough renders the whole lump holy, how a holy root can render the entire tree holy, and how branches grafted onto a holy tree become holy, even branches that had previously been cut off, Paul reveals a mystery in verse 25: For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Genles be come in. (Romans 11:25) Though he does not outright quote Isaiah 6:11‐13, he affirms the promise God made in those verses to end Israel’s hardening. The mystery Paul reveals is that the partial hardening of Israel’s elect will end when the “fulness of the Gentiles be (has) come in.” It is important to note that none of these passages are talking about the Church. God has never hardened the Church. He has only hardened Israel, and only temporarily, for the express purpose of taking the Gospel to the Gentiles and building a Church that encompasses all peoples, nations, and languages. This he did at Israel’s great expense, but he will resurrect and magnify Israel because of it. Consider the supreme irony: God hardened Israel to benefit the Gentiles, and so many churches have returned the thanks to Israel by teaching replacement theology. God’s reply in Isaiah 6 and Paul’s teaching in Romans 11 raise two questions: when will this widespread devastation occur, and when will the fulness of the Gentiles come in? The Bible gives no clear answer; God wants us to depend on him alone for the timing. However, we can be sure of this – God will restore the elect of his people Israel. That unambiguous Biblical truth, stated explicitly both to Israel in the Old Testament and the Gentiles of the Church in the New Testament, exposes replacement theology as bad doctrine. Now it’s up to the Holy Spirit and informed believers to purge the Church of this sad error. If replacement theology now troubles you as much as it does me, please do me a favor. Consider giving a copy of this letter to a brother or sister who has been mistaught. You will be helping them and doing a good work for God’s kingdom. Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.” The Lord responded to the inquisitive prophet by telling him that His judgment was already on the way (Habakkuk 1:5-11). His wrath came in the form of Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians who destroyed both Jerusalem and the temple. God indeed saw the wickedness and violence, and He warned the people of Judah beforehand through Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Habakkuk. Back to today. Despite a world that’s overrun with violence, deception, injustice, lawlessness, and wickedness, very few church leaders ask questions similar to that of Habakkuk. They do not connect what they see with biblical prophecy. As I wondered about how again to respond to the normality bias so evident among believers today, I thought about the title of a Francis A. Schaeffer book that I read in college, He Is There and He is Not Silent. For today, I suggest we adjust it to: “He Sees, He Is Not Silent, and He Is Coming Soon.” Jesus Sees Jesus sees the perilous times in which we live. He sees the grieving family members mourning the loss of the multitudes murdered by the COVID injections, the deceit and injustice rampant in our governments (especially in the U.S.), the anguish of children caught in the web of sex trafficking, the horror of children ruthlessly slaughtered in the womb, and the violence that’s wreaking havoc on the streets of our cities. He saw all that happened on October 7, 2023, in Israel, and He grieves with along with those suffering from this great tragedy. Based on what the Lord sees today, how might He reply if someone asked Him the same questions Habakkuk raised so long ago? I’m certain His response would include the words of Psalm 75:6-8: Psalm 75:6-8 KJV – “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.” As we wait for the Lord’s appearing we can be sure He sees what’s happening in this world and His response is already on the way. Perhaps it’s closer than most people can imagine. One thing for sure, He is not silent. Unless the perpetrators of the evil around us turn to the Savior, they will feel the full force of God’s “cup” of wrath both in this life and in eternity. Jesus Is Not Silent Jesus is anything but quiet today concerning the horrors of our day, but so few are paying attention. There are more precursors to future Tribulation events than I can track. [All] these things resound with this message: My judgments will soon sweep over the world. Jesus is most certainly not silent today. What then accounts for the silence in so many churches? Why are most shepherds deaf to the alarms that Jesus is sounding to alert the world of the approaching Tribulation? Based on my experience, it’s because many of those that tend the Lord’s sheep make these assumptions: (1) Jesus will not dramatically interfere in the affairs of humankind until the very last day of human history, (2) the restoration of a nation to Israel is just a fluke of history, and (3) Jesus will not appear anytime soon. God’s Word is clear: there will be an extended time of wrath upon the earth, described as the Day of the Lord in passages such as Isaiah 24:1-23, and Jeremiah 30:5-7. The Apostle John wrote about this time in Revelation chapters 6-18. During this time, the Lord will not only judge the world’s wickedness, but also bring a remnant of the Jewish faith to saving faith in their Messiah. Many will turn to the Savior during this time, but the false church and antichrist will kill most that do. As the time of the Lord’s wrath approaches, He is anything but silent, but very few people are listening. Jesus Is Coming Soon Jesus not only sees and warns people of what’s ahead, but He’s also coming soon. He will intervene in our world. The good news for us as New Testament saints is that the Lord, through the Apostle Paul, promises that we will not experience the wrath of the Day of the Lord or what we refer to as the seven-year Tribulation (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10). 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 KJV – “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.” Jesus’ dramatic intervention in the affairs of humankind will begin when He comes for His church. This will wreak havoc throughout the earth. As the His judgments follow, even the most powerful leaders of the time will recognize them as “the wrath of the Lamb” (Revelation 6:12-17). Jesus’ imminent appearing was the excited expectation of the early church (Philippians 3:20-21). In my book, The Triumph of the Redeemed, I provide a thorough defense of the pre-Tribulation Rapture. This is the belief that the fulfillment of passages such as 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:47-55, and 1 John 3:2-3 happens before God’s wrath falls upon humankind during what we refer to as the seven-year Tribulation. The Rapture will happen before the Tribulation. This glorious expectation of meeting Jesus in the air is the “blessed hope” of the Gospel (Titus 2:11-14). I know of no better encouragement for the day in which we live. We may have to wait a little longer than we would like, but we can be absolutely certain that our Lord is coming to take us to glory, to the place He’s preparing for us (John 14:1-3; Colossians 3:4). Don’t believe the scoffers; Jesus is coming soon for us. It could happen today. We Are Richly Blessed The entire world will soon witness Jesus’ dramatic intervention in the course of human events on the earth and nothing will ever be the same. He will appear to catch His bride away, over the course of seven years severely judge the world’s wickedness that grieves us today, and later establish His righteous rule over all the nations. The rapid approach of the Tribulation period tells us that we will be home with Jesus in paradise in the near future. For those of us watching for His glorious appearing, it cannot happen too soon. In the meantime, please know that we are richly blessed to live in biblical times with a valid expectation of being alive when Jesus comes for His Church. Daily Jot: A time of reckoning ahead? - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com In his book “Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel,” author and friend Bill Koenig draws the correlation that when the United States takes action to pressure Israel to divide her land major natural, economic or political disaster follows within 24-48 hours. He documents this phenomena over the last 30 years. It is irrefutable. When you consider what has happened in Israel in the Hamas attack and all the subsequent violence here in the US driven by hate for Jews and Israel, the actions of Joe Biden in trying to once again divide the land of Israel by restoring control of Gaza to the terrorist-backed Palestinian Authority may result in disastrous consequences. In an Op-Ed for the Washington Post, Biden renewed the call for a “two-state” solution as the only answer to resolve the issue between Israel and “Palestinians.” He wrote: “As we strive for peace, Gaza and the West Bank should be reunited under a single governance structure, ultimately under a revitalized Palestinian Authority, as we all work toward a two-state solution.” Then Biden turned the table, pointing out that the US will not stand for violence against “Palestinians” in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) by Israeli settlers. He said, ““I have been emphatic with Israel’s leaders that extremist violence against Palestinians in the West Bank must stop and that those committing the violence must be held accountable,” adding the US will take its own steps against such “extremists attacking civilians in the West Bank.” The statement did not remotely mention that Israeli settlers have the right to defend themselves against the attacks of “Palestinians.” Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded, vowing, “In Gaza, after the destruction of Hamas, and for a long time thereafter, there will not be a regime that encourages terror, that teaches terror, that funds terror — that also indoctrinates about the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews — this will not be.” The Palestinian Authority (PA) ran Gaza before Hamas took over. During that time (1994-2007), the PA oversaw ongoing missile attacks and instituted a “pay for slay” incentivizing terrorism against Israelis by providing pensions to terrorists killed in the act of killing Jews. This practice continues today as well as schools that educate children that Jews are pigs and encouraging hate. God tells Abram in Genesis 12:2-3, “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall families of the earth be blessed.” And so throughout history those who blessed Israel were blessed and those who cursed Israel were cursed. This promise is one that can be traced throughout not only the texts of the Bible, but also through the texts of historical accounts written by many across the ages. From the empire of Babylon to the Roman Empire to Nazi Germany, those who blessed Israel and its people were blessed and those who cursed them were cursed. There may be tough times ahead as Biden pursues his relentless policies supporting terrorists while giving lip service to supporting Israel. Daily Devotion: Too Cool - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron. “All right! Go ahead and offer sacrifices to your God,” he said. “But do it here in this land.” —Exodus 8:25 https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/too-cool/ - Listen Pharaoh had finally buckled. He wanted the plagues to stop. So, he called in Moses and Aaron and said, “All right! Go ahead and offer sacrifices to your God. . . . But do it here in this land” (Exodus 8:25 NLT). As we watch Pharaoh try to manipulate Moses, we see a picture of how the devil tries to manipulate us. This is the anatomy of a compromise. What did God tell Moses and Aaron to do? He told them to put three days’ distance between Egypt and themselves and then offer sacrifices to Him (see Exodus 3:18). However, Pharaoh told them they could go and offer their sacrifices to God, but they needed to do it in Egypt. Pharaoh was trying to force them into making some concessions. He was saying, in effect, “If you don’t want to worship the gods of Egypt and have to worship your God, then go do it. Just don’t go very far. Stick around.” Maybe you’ve seen this trick before, perhaps even in your own life. After you give your life to Christ, the devil essentially says, “I didn’t want you to do that, but I will concede that you have gone over to the other side. Let’s strike a deal. Don’t get too fanatical here. Can we still have a little fun together? You don’t have to give up all your old friends and lifestyle. You can still believe in God. But be practical.” That is what the devil does with us: “Go ahead, but don’t go too far. You don’t have to believe all this stuff.” Moses, however, said no. He knew they had to go. Some people have believed in Jesus, but they haven’t gone very far from their old lives. They’ve stayed close enough for the enemy to still have a foothold. They are still influenced by ungodly friends and things that have dragged them down. They are still engaged in a lifestyle they should have repented of long ago. For example, how many generations have been destroyed by drugs, sex, and rock ’n’ roll? It’s amazing how each successive generation acts as though they’ve discovered it themselves. The fashions may change (or sometimes don’t), but they get into the same things that previous generations did. We need to obey God. We need to commit the nonbelievers in our lives to the Lord. If they’re going to come to Christ, they won’t come to Him through our compromise. In fact, it will drive them away. Sometimes we think we can reach people for Christ if we just do what they do and relate to them on their level. Then they will believe and think we’re really cool. But no one has ever come to Christ that way. Nonbelievers come to Christ because Christians living genuine lives before God aren’t afraid to let their lights shine. Sometimes we’re trying so hard to be cool and relatable that we forget about being righteous. We forget about standing up for what is right.
