I have often referred to the UN (United Nations) as the United Nothing. I have sometimes thought that is too harsh and felt guilty about being so critical. But when I read several stories like I have read this morning, I think it is true and well-deserved. Consider the following stories: >On Nov. 15, 2023, Reuters reported that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an agency that is part of the UN system, said Iran has enriched enough uranium to about 60% purity to build at least three atomic bombs, and they constantly call for “Death to Israel” and “Death to the United States.” What has the UN done about this? Very little, if anything. >On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian Territories told a National Press Club in Australia that Israel’s right to defend itself against the Hamas atrocities (rape of women and children, beheading of babies, burning people alive, seizing of hostages, etc.) on Oct. 7th is non-existent because it is an occupying power. She echoed remarks that Russia’s Ambassador to the UN made a week earlier. What will the UN do about this? Probably nothing. >On Nov. 15, 2023, it was reported that Israeli troops raised the Israeli flag over a UN-operated school (it was one of many) that reportedly has been teaching Gaza children for 20 years to hate Jews (many Gaza children have likely grown up to be terrorists, and some may have been involved in the Oct. 7 rapes, beheadings, etc.). During the 20 years that this was going on, what did the UN do to stop this? It looks like the UN ignored it for 20 years. >On Nov. 15, 2023, Israel reported that dozens of Israeli troops entered Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, and they found weapons, ammunition, and a tunnel in the basement. It has been common knowledge for several years that Hamas was using hospitals, that there were tunnels under and near them, and that it is a violation of the Geneva Convention and other rules of war. So, what has the UN done about this? As far as I can tell, nothing. >On Nov. 15, 2023, Hezbollah in Lebanon claimed that it had struck eight targets in Israel; this has been going on for years, the UN has troops near Lebanon’s border with Israel, they know that Hezbollah keeps attacking Israel. So, what has the UN done about it? Very little, if anything. The United Nothing (oops, I mean the United Nations) has been around for more than 70 years, and most people I know believe the world is in a mess. It distorts the truth, is anti-Israel, anti-Christian, and is working to establish a world government that will be the most evil, corrupt failure in human history. There have been reports of UN troops raping women, trafficking in drugs, and more. The U.S. is the largest contributor to the United Nothing, and I truly wonder what U.S. citizens are getting for their money. (More: On Nov. 16, 2023, Florida Gov. DeSantis promised to defund the UN if he is elected Pres. of the U.S.) (More: On Nov. 16, 2023, a spokesman for Netanyahu condemned International agencies and officials (the United Nothing) for allowing Hamas to turn Gaza’s hospitals into terror bases and not doing anything about it. He asked, “Why do you continue to do propaganda for Hamas instead of doing your jobs?”) (More: On Nov. 20, 2023, Israel accused the UN and WHO of war crimes for not doing anything about Hamas using their hospitals for their terrorist activities (protection, command centers, storage of weapons, etc.) (My opinion: Globalists who want to establish a world government and let the UN and WHO have authority over it are demonic or mentally ill.) Here are some stories that made the news this week: One, going back to the United Nothing and Nov. 15, 2023 (the same day as mentioned above): the UN Security Council passed a resolution that calls for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors” for “a sufficient number of days” to allow full, rapid, safe, and unhindered access for UN agencies and partners throughout Gaza. The resolution also calls for “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups, especially children, as well as ensuring immediate humanitarian access.” Two days later, on Nov. 17, 2023, Joseph A. Klein (author and UN Columnist for the Canadian Free Press) wrote that there are at least three flaws in the resolution:
So, what does the resolution do? Probably nothing but give the UN, the media, and others grounds to condemn Israel. J. Davis said crime is out of control in her city. According to Davis, sending in troops will not change anything if the criminals are not kept in jail. (More: On Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the mayor of Washington, DC, has declared a public emergency because of the increase in juvenile crime and drug fatalities. The situation is so bad that some residents now call the city a war zone.) Three, concerning deceit and corruption in the White House: on Nov. 19, 2023, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy, said, “The GOP has moved closer to filing an impeachment inquiry into Pres. Biden.” House members believe they have found a lot of proof of shady business dealings by the Biden family, and they have started subpoenaing people. Four, concerning a cashless society and the Mark of the Beast: on Nov. 18, 2023, it was reported that the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently told the world to prepare for Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) to replace cash despite the opposition of some groups. CBDCs will allow the government to track all buying and selling. (Note: Nothing was said about when CBDCs will be rolled out globally, but we were being advised that it is coming, like it or not. According to the report, more than 100 nations are already exploring the use of CBDCs, and global interest is unprecedented.) (More: On Nov. 21, 2023, Worthy News reported that “The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has launched a virtual handbook on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to serve as a reference guide for Central Banks, aiming to facilitate the implementation of CBDCs and the transition towards a cashless society.”) Five, concerning a deliberate population reduction: on Nov. 19, 2023, The Expose reported that the UK government Office for National Statistics recently released data on deaths of those who were never vaccinated for Covid-19 versus those who had been vaccinated; those that had been vaccinated three times (booster); and those that had been vaccinated four times (double booster). According to the government report, 95% of those who died between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023, had been vaccinated, and 94% of those who died during that time had triple or quadruple vaccinations. Six, concerning climate change and lab-grown meat: on Nov. 21, 2023, The New American reported that Italy recently “passed a law prohibiting the production, sale, import, and export of lab-grown meat and other synthetic foods, including the insect-based ones.” Sadly, Italy is the only country to do that. Seven, concerning corruption in the 2020 elections: on Nov. 20, 2023, a U.S. District Judge in Georgia ruled that voting machine critics are not conspiracy theorists. Judge Amy Totenberg said there is sufficient reason to believe that the electronic voting machines used by the State of Georgia have substantial flaws.” The case will now wind up in a higher court. Eight, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog (Russia, Iran, and others attacking Israel in the latter years and latter days: on Nov. 21, 2023, it was reported that:

Their teachers depict Jews as violent usurpers of the land. Today in the United States and other western nations, educators are using those same lies on our children. Now the lies that generate hate in the Middle East are generating the same kind of hate here. Al Jazeera is a Qatar-based, global, anti-Semitic, and anti-American news conglomerate. It says, “Every year on May 15, Palestinians around the world mark the Nakba, or catastrophe, referring to the ethnic cleansing of Palestine in 1948…. Zionist military forces expelled at least 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands.” Dictionary.com defines “ethnic cleansing” as, “the elimination of an unwanted ethnic group.” Today, with well over 3 million Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria, 2 million living in Gaza, and another 2 million living in Israel proper, there was clearly never an “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians. Al Jazeera also says, “Zionist military forces expelled at least 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and lands.” That accusation is repeated often, even by the United Nations. In an article called, “The Question of Palestine,” the United Nations affirms that the birth of modern Israel was a “catastrophe.” “Before the Nakba,” the UN article contends, “Palestine was a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society.” In other words, they were one, big happy family until the formation of Israel. The UN article says that in 1947, “Jewish militias launched attacks against Palestinian villages forcing thousands to flee. The situation escalated into a full-blown war in 1948, with the end of the British Mandate and the departure of British forces, the declaration of independence of the State of Israel and the entry of neighboring Arab armies. The newly established Israeli forces launched a major offensive. The result of the war was the permanent displacement of more than half of the Palestinian population.” Notice the propagandistic wording, pretending that Jewish aggressors launched “attacks against Palestinian villages.” The word “villages” carries the connotations of peaceful, benign, and defenseless. But obvious Arab aggression is either not mentioned at all, or heavily downplayed. They list the “entry of neighboring Arab armies” as one of many reasons war broke out in 1948. But that invasion triggered the war. When Arab armies invaded their land, Israel fought back. The war displaced many Palestinians, but not because Israel kicked them out. Arab leaders removed them, promising that if they left, they could shortly return and share in the plunder after Israel’s defeat. This historical fact was recently admitted by Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas. Speaking for the Palestinians, Abbas said, “If you remember that in 1948, when the ‘Nakba,’ or catastrophe, took place, we weren’t a party to it. We were taken out, and we were told, after a week we will return you.” Obviously, Israel did not say that to the Palestinians. It was the Arabs. Abbas said the same thing in a Palestinian publication back in 1976. He blamed Arab armies for forcing Palestinians to leave, promising they could shortly return. Today, major publications treat United Nations propaganda as authoritative. In the immediate aftermath of Hamas terrorists committing the worst terrorist atrocity in Israel's history on October 7, US President Joe Biden was quick to reassure Jerusalem that Washington fully supported Israel's right to defend itself. After speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House issued a statement declaring: "The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel. "Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people... My Administration's support for Israel's security is rock solid and unwavering." Biden emphasized his commitment to Israel's defense by dispatching two aircraft carrier battle groups to the region to deter other malevolent actors, such as Iran, from seeking to exploit the crisis by escalating the conflict into a broader Middle East war. Seven weeks into Israel's military offensive to destroy Hamas as a military and political entity, the Biden administration now seems to be adopting a very different stance, one where it appears ready to scale down its commitment to supporting Israel's right to self-defense, and destroying Hamas, in favor of a ceasefire deal that would essentially gift victory to Hamas. The Biden administration has made clear that it pressured the Netanyahu government into accepting the Qatar-sponsored hostage deal, which has resulted in a number of Israeli women and children being released in exchange for the release of convicted Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons. Biden also expressed hope that the four-day "pause" in Israel's military offensive, which is being observed to allow the hostage release deal to take place, might ultimately lead to a broader ceasefire. Asked by reporters whether the four-day pause could be extended, Biden replied, "I think the chances are real." While conceding that Israel's quest to destroy Hamas was "legitimate", Biden revealed that his administration's key objective was to end the fighting at the earliest available opportunity. "My expectation and hope is that as we move forward, the rest of the Arab world and the region is also putting pressure on all sides to slow this down, to bring this to an end as quickly as we can," Biden said. Netanyahu has made no secret of his personal reservations about the hostage deal, arguing that any pause in Israel's military offensive would simply allow Hamas to regroup. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), in particular, had been opposed to the deal because they wanted to maintain the pressure against Hamas on the ground in Gaza. Israeli commanders certainly understood the fickleness of Washington's declared support for their military offensive from the start, as Washington has an undistinguished record of abandoning its Israeli ally in times of peril. During the IDF's military incursions in Gaza in 2009 and 2014, for example, the Israelis were forced to stop fighting within three weeks, with ceasefires brokered on both occasions by Egypt and forced on Israel by Washington. Indeed, Washington's willingness to impose ceasefires on Israel when its forces have clearly established a military advantage on the battlefield against their enemies has been a constant feature throughout Israel's 75-year existence. And, judging from the Biden administration's current enthusiasm for a ceasefire, it appears Washington is determined to follow a similar path of appeasement with regard to the current Gaza crisis, even if the Israeli government remains determined to maintain its offensive until Hamas' terrorist infrastructure in Gaza has been completely eradicated. Israel will certainly be under no illusions about the pitfalls of the hostage deal that has so far resulted in the release of only a small proportion of the estimated 240 Israeli hostages seized by Hamas during the October 7 attack. The Israelis will certainly be concerned at the role played by Qatar, which is one of Hamas's main military backers, in the negotiations. While the Qataris like to claim that they are simply using their contacts with Hamas to defuse tensions, the fact that Ismail Haniyeh, who masterminded the massacres, directed the attacks from his five-star hotel in Qatar, where he has been granted a safe haven, means the Israelis have every reason to be wary of Qatar's motives. Israel will also, with good reason, have concerns that the hostage deal as currently constructed, with Israel being obliged to release convicted terrorists in return for innocent Israeli civilians, will simply bolster Hamas' credentials. The boost Hamas has received from the deal was evident when the first Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli prisons and returned to their homes in Jerusalem and the West Bank. IDF soldiers guarding Ofer Prison, near Ramallah, fired tear gas to disperse crowds of Palestinians who chanted "the people want Hamas" while awaiting the release of the first batch of 39 convicted Palestinian terrorists. One of the reasons the US and its allies have previously ruled out negotiating with terror groups is that, by doing so, there is a danger of legitimizing the terrorists' activities. The Biden administration's willingness to abandon this long-held principle in favor of negotiating with Hamas, therefore, runs the risk of boosting support for Hamas at the very time that Israel is actively seeking to destroy the terrorist group, a policy that completely undermines Washington's claim that it supports Israel's right to self-defense. Be On Guard: The End Times Church Is One Inundated With Apostasy – By David Reagan - https://harbingersdaily.com/be-on-guard-the-end-times-church-is-one-inundated-with-apostasy/ There is much talk going around these days about how unified, triumphant, and glorious the Church will be in the end times right before the return of Jesus. This pollyanna image of the Church is certainly attractive, but it does not correspond with what the Bible prophesies. Apostasy The picture of the Church in the end times that is portrayed in the Bible is not a very pretty one. For one thing, the Bible prophecies that the Church will be racked by apostasy. Jesus prophesied that “many will fall away” (Matt. 24:10). Likewise, Paul said the Anti-Christ cannot be revealed until “the great apostasy” takes place (II Thess. 2:3). Paul reveals the source of the apostasy in II Timothy 3:5 — “Men will hold to form of religion but will deny its power.” The fulfillment of this prophecy began in the 1920’s with the ascendancy of the German School of Higher Criticism. This school of thought, which quickly swept American seminaries, advocated that the Bible should be approached like any other piece of literature — with a critical eye. The concepts of the special inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible were rejected. The Bible came to be viewed as Man’s search for God rather than God’s revelation to Man. As a human product, it was considered to be full of myth, legend, and superstition. This assault on the integrity of God’s Word opened the floodgates of apostasy. Before long Christian theologians and ministers were laughing about the virgin birth of Jesus, discounting His miracles, casting doubt on His resurrection, and flatly denying His second coming. As the uniqueness of Jesus was downplayed, many denominations began to embrace the damnable doctrine of Universalism. And that is where we are today, caught up in the midst of a gross apostasy which says, “Believe what you want. The important thing is to be sincere. There are many roads to God.” All of which makes a liar of Jesus who said: “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:16). The result is that there are a lot of sincere people who are sincerely going to Hell. Cultism A second set of prophecies warn that the Church will be assaulted by cultic deception in the end times. Jesus emphasized this point repeatedly in His Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24:5, 11, 24). And Paul underlined it in the strongest possible language when he wrote: “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (I Tim. 4:1). In the 19th Century [we saw] the rise of Mormonism and its demonic teaching that Jesus is the brother of Lucifer, one of thousands of Gods created by the super god, Adam, an exalted man. The Jehovah’s Witnesses were next on the scene with their perverted teaching that Jesus is the Archangel Michael. This century has witnessed the rapid multiplication of the cults, just as prophesied. Today, lifelong Christians who do not know why they believe what they profess to believe are being sucked into the cults by the tens of thousands. Equally appalling is the direct penetration of the Church by cultic doctrine. Well known Christian leaders are advocating the ancient Shamanistic practice of visualization as the key to prayer. Others are teaching one of Satan’s oldest lies — that those who have been born again are “little gods.” The latest cultic fad is the concept of Satanic salvation; namely, that we do not owe our salvation to the blood Jesus shed on the Cross but rather to some imaginary torment which He suffered at the hands of Satan for three days in Hell. And then, of course, there is Masonry, the oldest form of cultic penetration of the Church, with its secret blood oaths, its works salvation, and its Universalism. Confusion A third group of prophecies indicate that in the end times the Church will be assailed by doctrinal error. These are doctrines that do not damn the soul but which confuse and weaken the spirit. In II Timothy 4:3-4, Paul says: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.” There are many popular myths in Christendom today that either rob people of the power of their faith or else deceive them into practicing a presumptuous faith. Among Charismatics the doctrinal abuses have been epidemic, including the following myths:
The winds of doctrine (Eph. 4:14) are blowing through the Church at gale force and believers are being tossed here and there by the waves, all in the fulfillment of prophecy. Worldliness A fourth characteristic prophesied about the Church in the end times is that it will be compromised and corrupted by worldliness. The prophetic picture of this worldly church is found in Revelation 3:14-22, where the church at Laodicea is described. The seven churches depicted in Revelation 2 and 3 are symbolic of seven periods of church history. The church at Laodicea, the last to be presented, is representative of the type of church that will prevail in Christendom at the end of the Church Age. The picture is a pathetic one. The Church is apathetic, neither hot nor cold. The apathy is a product of the Church’s adoption of a worldly attitude expressed in the words, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing.” Jesus responds with a scathing rebuke: “You do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.” In fulfillment of this prophecy, our churches today are filled with cultural Christians who have accepted Jesus as Savior but not as Lord. They are schizophrenic Christians who walk with one foot in the Church and the other in the world. They are carnal Christians who shout “Hallelujah!” on the weekend but who live like pagans during the week. They are greedy Christians in pursuit of health, wealth, and power. The Cross and its message of sacrifice is as offensive to them as it is to the world. We must all be on guard spiritually. None of us is immune to deception. Everything must be tested by the Word. If a doctrine fails the test of Scripture, it is to be rejected, regardless of who is teaching it. Our trust is to be placed in the Word and not in men. Daily Jot: The ladder and you - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com There are many metaphors about ladders. We hear about how people climb the corporate ladder. There is the ladder to success. Some would say that if the ladder is not set against the right wall, every rung taken is closer to the wrong place. There is the ladder of knowledge. There is the economic ladder that alludes to climbing from one social status to another. There is the ladder of power. There is the ladder of life. There is the ladder of personal evolution. And so on. The ladder symbolizes connection. In reality, the ladder is a basic tool that connects two points that are otherwise out of reach. A mysterious dream of a ladder in the Old Testament has tremendous reality explained in the New Testament. In Genesis 28, Jacob was on his way to Haran, the home of Rebecca’s relatives, when he came to a “certain place (v.11),” and camped there for the night. The Hebrew indicates that this was not just a random place, but “ha makom,” or “the place.” The use of the verb “yifga,” meaning to encounter, suggests a divine appointment. Jacob laid down to sleep and had a dream about a ladder that reached to heaven with angels ascending and descending on it. The Lord was standing above the ladder and reaffirmed to Jacob His promise made to Abraham and Isaac—that his descendants would be as numerous as the dust of the earth, through him all peoples of the earth would be blessed, and the Lord would be with Jacob. When Jacob awoke from the dream, he exclaimed in Genesis 28:16, “Truly the Lord is in this place—and I didn’t know it!” Jacob called it the House of God, and the Gate of Heaven. The Jewish sages interpreted this place to refer to Jerusalem, and “the place” Jacob encountered God, to be Mount Moriah. Mount Moriah was the very location of the Akedah, (offering of Isaac), by the language used in Genesis 22:4: “On the third day, Abraham raised his eyes and saw the place (ha makom) in the distance.” Jacob’s dream of the ladder to heaven is associated with the revelation of the descending of Jesus (as the Son of Man, and His crucifixion), and the ascending of the risen Christ to heaven. The reality of Jacob’s ladder is revealed in John 1:51 when Christ told Nathaniel, “Hereafter you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” Jesus was referring directly to Jacob’s dream about the ladder ascending to heaven, with angels ascending and descending on it. In John 3:13 Jesus says, “And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” Jesus is saying that He is that very Ladder to God. Moreover, Jesus is the true Gate to Heaven as he says in John 10:9, “I am the true gate: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.” And Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the father except through me.” Herein, the ladder is far more than a metaphor. Jesus said of His church, “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless” (Matthew 5:13 NLT). For example, Moses, through his personal integrity and godliness, influenced the Israelites for good. Imagine how hard it must have been for him. They were so full of unbelief and whining and complaining. We need more people like this who will make a difference in this world. When you get together for family reunions and everyone wants to drink or smoke or party, you’re the odd one out. And you’re probably the person they always choose to do the token prayer at Thanksgiving. It is so uncomfortable. Or you might be at a workplace where all the others are nonbelievers. You’re the brunt of their jokes. And you want to get a new job. Maybe in your classroom you’re the one Christian who will disagree with the professor who’s promoting evolution or some other ungodly worldview. It’s tough, and we often want to get out of those types of situations. But do we ever consider that God put us where we are to be an influence? Take Moses, for example. God called him to Mount Sinai to receive the commandments. The Bible tells us, “When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron. ‘Come on,’ they said, ‘make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt’ ” (Exodus 32:1 NLT). Moses was gone, and they needed something to worship. And instead of recognizing that it was the Lord working through Moses who led them out of Egypt, they thought it was Moses himself. As soon as Moses was gone, they were looking for something to replace him. In effect, they were saying, “We need something tangible, something we can reach out and touch.” So the plans for the golden calf began, which ultimately led to sexual immorality and idol worship. Moses’ personal godliness and integrity kept them in check up to that point. And when he left, everything fell apart. In the same way, it’s the very presence of the church in the world today that keeps things from getting even worse. We think things are bad in our country now, and they are. But wait until the Lord calls His church home. We can imagine how quickly the whole scenario of the end times, inaugurated by the emergence of the Antichrist, will unfold. We are the salt of the earth. We are God’s representatives. And God can do a lot with a little.
