It has been a very difficult couple of weeks in Israel. With the return of some of our hostages came stories of their captivity. When they first began to trickle in, many observers were surprised at how low-key they were. No great shows of emotion, good or bad. Now it has come out that Hamas gave the hostages Clonazepam, a sedative, so that they would appear peaceful as they returned. Once the drugs wore off, the reality of Hamas’s imprisonment of these innocents became evident. Because time is passing and the voices of the deniers are growing louder (which I will address in a moment), I want to list here some of the hostages’ revelations that I detailed in my Telegram channel. Many captives were executed, denied medical treatment, and starved. Women were kept in cages. Some of the hostages were forced to eat toilet paper. They were separated from their families, sleep deprived, light deprived, and forced to watch the October 7 atrocities. Elderly women were required to sleep on plastic chairs. Children were branded with exhaust pipes, forced to whisper, and not allowed to cry. The perpetrators beat the hostages, kept them in solitary confinement, denied them basic hygiene, and confined them to cramped spaces. They denied them information about their families and forced them to participate in degrading propaganda videos. Their hopelessness was made greater by the fact that they didn’t even receive a single visit from the Red Cross. What’s even more terrible is that we are just scratching the surface. There are many hostages still being held. Also, we haven’t yet heard from the children. Professor Itay Pesach, head of the children’s hospital in Tel Aviv, said, “When the children will start telling their stories, none of us will be able to sleep at night.” Never forget what kind of torture was perpetrated upon those whom Hamas killed. Never forget what kind of torture was perpetrated upon those whom Hamas allowed to live. The Increase of the Deniers As often happens from the radical left, the volume of their voices increases in direct proportion to the stupidity of their arguments. The October 7 deniers are now at full shrill. It is amazing to me that the evidence, much of it filmed by Hamas themselves, can be so great, yet they can still say that it never happened. Similar to the three monkeys, they see no evil and hear no evil. However, these supporters of the Nazi-like Hamas certainly love to speak evil. They speak it in protests and out front of Jewish delicatessens and in government houses and in university classrooms and on major news networks. What’s so interesting is that these are the same people who make their livings creating a victim class based on race or gender or lifestyle or government. But in this one particular case, they turn it around and call the victims the perpetrators. What is the only difference? These victims are Jews. When the “Me too” movement was born, it was based on one woman’s unsubstantiated recollection of an event decades earlier. Yet, it was demanded that everyone must believe her. Now, we have hundreds of incidents with massive amounts of video and forensic evidence, and these same academics, media people, and radical elites have become deniers. The blatant antisemitism is truly appalling. Thankfully, there are some who are beginning to accept the evidence. The BBC, in a radical turnaround, changed their tune when they finally viewed the proof of sexual violence with a critical eye. Others are beginning to realize that the Palestinian people are no different than Hamas. A recent poll showed that 75% of Palestinians support what Hamas did during the October 7 massacre. Only 13% opposed it. Hamas Breaks Ceasefire In a move that shocked absolutely no one who understands Hamas at all, it took the terrorist organization only seven days to break the ceasefire. Apparently, they had completed shifting around all their supplies and personnel, because last Thursday they began to send rockets into the Israeli town of Sderot. This was the very move the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were waiting for, and the military immediately launched their next moves. Currently, there are two major focuses. First, there is the destruction of the Gazan city of Khan Yunis. This is a hotbed of tunnels and military facilities. The IDF warned the citizens ahead of time, spurring a mass civilian exodus. Then the bombing began, and it has been massive. At the same time, along the coast north of the Shatti refugee camp, Israel’s military has situated five large pumps. With these machines, they will begin flooding the miles and miles of tunnels with seawater. It will take a while, but eventually the rats will be chased from their underground burrows. Fighting continues to take place throughout Israel. Exchanges of fire and airstrikes persist in the north against Hezbollah. Also, the fighting in the West Bank is very hot as the IDF is forced to go in to extract leaders of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Possible Insider Trading Surrounding 10/7 Both New York University and Columbia University have extensively researched activity on the New York Stock Exchange and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange surrounding the October 7 attack. They claim that there was an unusual trend of short-selling shares of Israeli companies prior to the attack. It is possible, these studies report, that there were those who may have been informed of the attack ahead of time and, as a result, profited enormously. Authorities in both Israel and the U.S. are now looking into the allegations. Hamas Leaders will be Targeted In 1972, Prime Minister Golda Meir authorized Operation Wrath of God following the murder of Israeli athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. Under this action, the Mossad was given the go-ahead to go anywhere in the world to kill all the members of the Palestinian militant group, Black September, who participated in the terrorist action. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that all the leaders responsible for the October 7 massacre will be hunted down and killed like their Black September predecessors. There is no country they can flee to, no city in which they can hide that will keep them from facing the ruthless justice of a nation that will never forget. Not every national leader is happy to hear this. Iran has said that they will protect the leaders of Hamas. Turkey’s President Erdogan has threatened that Israel will pay a great price if Hamas officials are killed on his nation’s soil. I’m betting that Erdogan will have to back up those words. The luxury hotels of Qatar and Istanbul have always been the billionaire Hamas leaders’ favorite hangouts. Blinken’s Perfect Timing U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken came to Israel the middle of last week to encourage Israel to extend the ceasefire with Hamas. However, he was forced to change his rhetoric. On the tarmac before he left, he told the press that Hamas had broken the truce by carrying out a terrorist attack in Jerusalem and firing rockets into Israel. Instead of supporting a longer ceasefire, he encouraged different tactics in the way Israel carries out the war. I’m sure the generals in the IDF will give his suggestions all the weight they deserve. The rapture alone should be a dead giveaway that the last days are here. It just seems that the Antichrist (AC) would have no ability to operate with the Bible describing his true nature. The removal of everyone with clear knowledge of the end times will be a huge help to him. People should still be able to gain fast insight by dusting off their Bibles and reading up on what is about to take place. If someone comes on the world stage as the most powerful political leader of all time, you would think hordes of people would say, “Hey, Aren’t You the Antichrist?” Few people will make the connection because the Beast of Revelation is generally viewed as someone who is totally evil. The AC, at first, will be a man who solves the world’s problems. He will have incredible skills at deception. “Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule” (Daniel 8:25 NKJV). Another way that the AC will win over the world is that he will have supernatural powers. This ability to perform miracles is probably the key reason why Israel will believe that he is their long-awaited Messiah. By the time Israel realizes that the AC is a fraud, he will be too powerful to resist. “For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24). Few Germans questioned if Adolf Hitler was the AC because he was on a massive political and military winning streak. After gambling and winning so many times, his people could only conclude that he was a genius. When he went to war with France, many Germans feared a repeat of the quagmire of World War I. It was a huge shock to the world when Hitler’s troops blitzkrieged their way to Paris in only a few weeks. It wasn’t until the onset of a cold winter at the gates of Moscow that Hitler’s luck ran out. The stage is perfectly set for the AC because prophetic awareness is at a very low point. I can go back 120 years and find a series of books that drew the public’s attention to Bible prophecy. John Walvoord, Hal Lindsey, and Tim LaHaye are three key figures in my lifetime. For decades, we had a book on prophecy at the top of the best-seller list. Today, it has been over a decade since a prophecy book has been a major seller. With most experts in the field of prophecy having died and few people rising to take their place, fresh end-time commentary is becoming hard to find. There will be plenty of supernatural events during the tribulation, but the AC will be free to provide his own interpretation. He may say that the rapture was God removing evil people from Earth. One of the most repeated events in the tribulation is God pouring out His wrath on mankind and their refusal to repent. As the punishment gets stronger and stronger, the people of Earth will cling more stubbornly to their evil ways. “Now the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk” (Revelation 9:20). There will be a vast number of people who will repent and turn to God. Most of these people will suffer martyrdom for their faith. People will not fail to turn to God because of a lack of knowledge. As the tribulation progresses, the world will know what is happening. They will be so committed to the AC that they cannot change their allegiance. They will first see him as their savior. When they take the mark, their fate will be sealed. Once people reject salvation, God will send them a strong delusion that will make them believe a deeper lie. When the tribulation draws to a close, people will be so desperate they will cry for rocks to fall on them. The wonderful thing about this time before the rapture is that we can use it to avoid the tribulation by turning to Christ for salvation. After the rapture, salvation can only be achieved by a willingness to endure suffering. If any of you are unsure about your standing with God, you need to resolve your doubts. It is so clear to me that this world is run by the devil, and the only way someone could miss out on God’s offer of grace is through profound negligence. “For He says: ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation” (II Corinthians 6:2 NKJV). Hezekiah’s Tunnel: If We Want To Remain On Track, We Need To Listen To The Signal From Above – By Dean Dwyer - https://harbingersdaily.com/hezekiahs-tunnel-if-we-want-to-remain-on-track-we-need-to-listen-to-the-signal-from-above/ Recently, I had a serious motorcycle accident which has, so far, resulted in two major surgeries. When the time is right, I will share how the Lord protected me during that accident. For now, to the glory of God I am at home and resting. How long the recovery might take is in the Lord’s hands. However, as any servant of God would attest to, it is my desire to return to active ministry as soon as possible. Naturally, a speaking ministry involves a lot of talking. However, what I have come to learn over the time of my rest and recovery is the value of listening. In the Scriptures, we are introduced to a pool. It is mentioned only a few times in Scripture, but it is a significant place. I speak of the Pool of Siloam – reportedly the only source of freshwater within the walls of the ancient city of Jerusalem. In John chapter 9 we read of Jesus miraculously healing a man at this location who was born blind. In verses 6 and 7, we read: “When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam’ (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.” Well, you would think the healing of a blind man would be a cause for rejoicing. However, the Pharisees were deeply upset because he was healed on the Sabbath. In verse 16 of John 9, we read: “Therefore some of the Pharisees said, ‘This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.'” After continuing to argue with the previously blind man, in verses 26 and 27, we read (with emphasis added): “Then they said to him again, ‘What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes?’ He answered them, ‘I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become His disciples?” There is that word I want to focus on – listen. But the concept of listening is not only important in the context of John 9, but in how the tunnel to the Pool of Siloam was actually constructed. Although the events of John 9 clearly occur during the time of Christ’s first advent, the Pool of Siloam and its accompanying tunnels were actually constructed in the 8th century BC under the direction of King Hezekiah. 2 Kings 20:20 records: “Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah – all his might, and how he made a pool and a tunnel and brought water into the city – are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?” As mentioned in the opening paragraph, the reason for its construction was to ensure fresh water was supplied to Jerusalem, even in the event the city was besieged (see 2 Chronicles 32). The Pool was fed by a tunnel Hezekiah cut through almost 2,000 feet of solid rock from the Gihon Spring. Because the Pool was fed by waters from the Gihon Spring, the naturally flowing spring water would have also qualified the Pool for use as a mikveh (ie. for ritual bathing). After the Babylonian invasion when Nehemiah later returned to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, we are told that he also had to repair the Pool of Siloam. Nehemiah 3:15 reads: “Shallun the son of Col-Hozeh, leader of the district of Mizpah, repaired the Fountain Gate; he built it, covered it, hung its doors with its bolts and bars, and repaired the wall of the Pool of Shelah by the King’s Garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the City of David.” Now, you might be thinking that there is no mention of Siloam. Well, in Isaiah 8:6 we are introduced to “the waters of Shiloah”. “Shelah” (in the Nehemiah passage) is a variant of “Shiloah” and both refer to the same waters – Siloam. Estimates of the time it took to construct the tunnel vary from 9 months to 4 years. But it is not the length of time taken, but how the task was undertaken which is fascinating. In 1880 some boys swimming in the tunnel discovered an inscription engraved into the wall near the southern outlet. Later, vandals chiseled the inscription out of the wall. Eventually, the Ottoman authorities seized it and sent it to Istanbul. To this day, it remains one of the highlights of the Istanbul Archaeological Musuem and is known as the “Siloam Inscription” (also known as the “Shiloah Inscription”). The famous inscription, written in late 8th century BC script, describes how two teams dug the tunnel from opposite ends and met in the middle. The inscription reads as follows: “… this is the story of the tunnel, while [the hewers lifted] their axes toward their counterparts, and while three cubits more were to (be hewn?), was heard the voice of a man calling to his counterpart, (for) there was [a crack?] in the rock, on the right and on the left. And on the day of [the final barrier’s] piercing, the stonecutters struck each man towards his counterpart, ax against ax and water flowed from the source to the pool for 1,200 cubits and 100 cubits was the height of the rock, over the head of the stonecutters …” Israel has long since sought the return of the inscription from the Turkish Government but there is no evidence a deal has been struck at this point. Turkey has long insisted that the inscription is sovereign Ottoman property due to the fact that the Ottoman Empire ruled Jerusalem and much of the Middle East from 1516 to 1917. However, given that the inscription is dated to the 8th century BC, Turkey’s claims lack any sense at all. Until a deal is reached, there is a replica of the inscription located in The Israel Museum. But you might be asking, what does this have to do with listening? Well, it has to do with the final part of the inscription – that the tunnellers were aware that there was 100 cubits of rock above them. You see, even by today’s standards, Hezekiah’s tunnel is an engineering marvel. Without the use of modern equipment, many would not have a chance of joining a winding tunnel that is 1700 feet (533 metres) long. So how did the engineers of Hezekiah’s day do it? Well, it has been theorised that they relied on acoustic sounding. That’s right – they had to listen. According to the theory, the tunnellers were guided by communications from the surface. That is, surface teams would hammer on the bedrock above, with sound travelling through natural fissures in the rock to the team below. By listening carefully to the sound of the hammering above, the tunnellers were able to ensure that they remained at the same elevation throughout the digging. It is an important lesson. If we want to remain on track, we need to listen to the signal from above in order to guide us here below. And perhaps the fact that the word “listen” contains the same letters as “silent” gives us our first clue as to how to begin this process. Silent before God, listening to His still, small voice. You Are Never Alone - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2023/12/06/you-are-never-alone-by-dennis-huebshman/ Starting with Isaiah 41:10; “Fear not, for I am with you; be ye not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (ESV – all emphasis is mine) The idea of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit being with us always goes all the way back to the creation and is demonstrated throughout the Old Testament. It continues with our Lord and Savior Jesus coming to earth as a human to provide us the most perfect gift we could ever have – eternal life with Him forever. He lived a perfect, sinless life on this earth so that His blood sacrifice for us would be acceptable to the Father as payment for our sins. When God makes a covenant, He never fails to honor it. Going to Genesis 28, His covenant with Jacob stands today, and it includes all people of all nations. Looking at verses 12-15, “And he dreamed, and behold there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to Heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, ‘I am the Lord God of Abraham your father, and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie, I will give to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.’” After AD-70, the Jewish people were scattered around the world, and the nation of Israel became mostly desert. Samuel Clements, better known as Mark Twain, visited Israel in 1867 and called it a “hopeless, dreary, heartbroken land.” He made comments about the land being desolate and devoid of inhabitants. As of May 14, 1948, there hadn’t been much change, but on that day, Israel declared itself an independent sovereign nation after almost 2,000 years. The first nation to recognize that sovereignty was the United States under President Harry S. Truman. Most of their immediate neighbors responded by mounting a full-scale attack in an effort to wipe this tiny nation off the map. Needless to say, their efforts didn’t work. Today, Israel has truly been blessed by the Lord and has developed fertile soil for growing many types of produce; their wines are some of the finest in the world; and to top everything off, there have been oil and natural gas deposits discovered within their legal boundaries. They have formed a respected military force, and their ability to drive back the invaders has been truly God-inspired. Richard Rogers (1902 – 1978) and Oscar Hammerstein II (1895 – 1960) wrote a song for their 1945 musical “Carousel” called “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” At the time, it was not meant to carry any religious message. From 9/4/1966 through 8/31/2014, Jerry Lewis held telethons to raise funds for his “kids” who had Muscular Dystrophy. Over the course of those years, his efforts raised over two billion dollars for the M.D. Association. His efforts were meant to be inspirational for all his “kids” to know someone truly cared for them and there were people who loved them and wanted to do all that could be done to give them relief. He sang that song at the end of each telecast as a means to encourage “his kids” to never give up. To date, many performers have recorded this song, and it has even been accepted as a gospel hymn. It reminds us that we are never alone if we have our Lord and Savior Jesus as our Shepherd and Redeemer. Here are the inspiring words to that song: “When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, and don’t be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm, there’s a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind; walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone; you’ll never walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone; you’ll never walk alone.” For all true believers, we have the faith to know that our forever will be far greater than any words can possibly express. We just know that we will have a body that will never age, never experience pain or death, and we will have a mindset that will be immune from temptation to any form of evil ever again. We will live in a place prepared for us by our Jesus, as stated in John 14:1-3. This is available as a gift for receiving and accepting our Lord’s pure, sinless blood sacrifice that He willingly gave for us at Calvary (John 10:18). On the other hand, all who were out of the will of the Father before the crucifixion, and all who will have refused Jesus from Calvary to the end of this earth’s age, will answer for every sin, great or small, that they will ever have committed in their lifetimes. They will attend an event known as the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15. All souls at this judgment will be separated from the Heavenly Father forever in a lake of fire, as given in Matthew 25:41. It will be eternal torment without any form of relief. Every single soul on this earth has the ability to choose Heaven or Hell. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. This is found in Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, and Romans 10:13. The simple steps to Salvation are found in Romans 10:9-13, and as Ephesians 2:8-9 states, it is a gift from the Father and not something we can earn or buy. With evil and abominations increasing daily, it is very possible there will be the sound of the Trumpet of God and a shout from an archangel very soon. Paul tells us about this in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. All of the Savior’s precious flock will be removed to keep us from the coming tribulation/wrath, as promised by the Father in 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, and Revelation 3:10. All who are left behind will face the worst 7-year period of time this earth has ever seen. With this said, the decision of which eternity you choose becomes very important. We do not know the day or hour the Rapture, as it’s commonly called, will take place. However, when God says it’s going to happen, it will happen. Our Heavenly Father could be a totally different type of God and force His will on all of us. However, that would not be love, and our God is all about pure love. He wants no one to fail (2 Peter 3:9) but allows us the ability to make our own free-will choice. He is waiting for our call to have His Son be our eternal Shepherd, but eventually, as with all the biblical events, the time will come when it will be too late to decide. Satan wants you to believe that all the things of this earth are what are most important. His famous lie of “Did God really say?” still draws souls to him. It may be easier to make a decision when you realize that everything on this earth is not permanent; only the love of God is forever. Jesus will turn no one away who truly calls on Him to save them. Right now would not be too early to place that call. As stated, it’s completely up to you to make that decision. Just remember, what you choose is how you will spend forever. Zeke had a particular personality and wisdom that went beyond dog sense. His passing was really hard on us, especially Chris, who had a very special bond with him. Our friends in Texas, Deana and Randy, also lost their Cocker about the same time. Deana was looking for a new Cocker Spaniel and she found a breeder in Texas and fell in love with two of them, but could only have one. After we talked, I started trying to convince Chris that we needed another doggie. She felt it was too soon. She wasn’t ready. I asked Deana to send me a picture of the one she didn’t pick. Well, that was it. Chris fell in love. Chris, our son Christian and I went to Dulles Airport to fetch our new puppy, arriving from Texas. He was only 8 weeks old and took to us right away. On the way home, he laid on Christian’s shoulder, looking at Chris in the backseat. They decided his registered name Neiman Barkus didn’t fit, so they renamed him “Charlie” because, as Chris and Christian agreed, “He looked like a Charlie.” When we got him home, he ran and played in the yard for a bit and seemed to adjust to his new family really well. It didn’t take long for us to grow really attached to Charlie, especially since Christian graduated from law school, passed the bar and moved out—an empty nester thing for us, you know. We knew we wanted to travel, but we didn’t like the idea of leaving Charlie with doggie day care. Chris enrolled Charlie in obedience school. He really took to it. Charlie, we found, was very competitive and always positioned himself to be the best in his class. Time and again he would somehow connect with the instructor (tapping his paw, making eye contact, whining) so he could be the one to demonstrate the most recent teaching. Well, Charlie was certified as a Service Dog—he was really proud of his red Service Dog vest, although we don’t use it very often. From then on, Charlie could travel with us wherever we went. It seems like other dogs can’t resist him. We were at a restaurant when someone’s ridgeback ran after Charlie. I swung him around in his leash and Chris caught him in the air to save him from the attack. We were on the coast in Maine when a shepherd came running after Charlie, knocking his owner down and dragging him on the road. Then there was the time in Georgia when Charlie made friends with Benji, Nancy from Winchester’s long-time companion. Charlie is also the one that pulled me down the brick steps for my faceplant on the landing—he did come back and sit beside me till help came. But overall, everyone that passes by when Charlie is with us, wants to pet him. And he wants them to pet him. He’s become kind of a celebrity with The American Chronicles, a part of the family as well as the ministry. Galatians 5:22 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.” Charlie brings a lot of love and joy to our travels. Jesus Himself said, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head” (Luke 9:58 NLT). We’ve romanticized the story of Jesus’ birth in our Nativity scenes, with Mary, Joseph, and the baby in a stable full of adoring animals. Meanwhile, the shepherds and wise men look on as a bright star shines in the distance and angels fly overhead. But the reality is that the birth of Jesus was cold, unsanitary, and difficult. He was wrapped not in satin but in cheap rags. That doesn’t diminish the story. Rather, it enhances it to show the humiliation that Christ went through to enter this world of ours. It symbolizes His entire life on Earth from the cradle to the cross. Jesus could have been born in the most elegant mansion on the ritziest boulevard in the Roman Empire. He could have had aristocratic parents. He could have had the finest clothes from the most exclusive shops. And He could have had legions of angels at His beck and call. But He did not. Instead, He laid it all aside. Think about it: Jesus was born in a cave. He borrowed food to feed a crowd. He borrowed a coin to illustrate a truth. And He rode into Jerusalem on a borrowed donkey and celebrated Passover in a borrowed room. He even died on a borrowed cross that was meant for another: Barabbas. Then He was laid in a borrowed tomb that belonged to Joseph of Arimathea. C.H. Spurgeon said that Jesus was “infinite, and an infant—eternal, and yet born of a woman . . . supporting the universe, and yet needing to be carried in a mother’s arms.” Philippians 2:6–7 points out, “Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being” (NLT). He who was larger than the universe became an embryo. Jesus Christ was deity in diapers. Jesus was God in Heaven. Then He was God as an embryo, God as a baby, God as a man, God on the cross, and God rising again. He never ceased to be God. But He did lay aside some of the privileges of deity. Philippians goes on to say, “When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross” (2:7–8 NLT). Jesus humbled Himself and walked this earth and breathed our air and lived our life. And then He died our death. We have a God in Heaven who understands what it’s like to walk through this life. He literally felt our pain. And He went through all of this for us.
