Kibbutz Be’eri was one of the hardest-hit locations in the Hamas attacks near Gaza on October 7th. It also personally touched the life of Michele Bachmann, former congresswoman and current dean of the Regent University School of Government. She was once a resident of the kibbutz. CBN News accompanied Bachmann as she recently surveyed the site of horrendous massacres, kidnappings, and destruction, and we talked to those who survived the mayhem. As Hamas invaded Kibbutz Be’eri, Lotan Pinyah, a resident, watched the attack unfold when he visited the Kibbutz website and a WhatsApp group that October morning. “People started to say, to write, ‘There are terrorists inside the kibbutz,'” Pinyan related. He added, “And you start to see on the kibbutz map that they’re here, here, here, here, here – they’re spread all over the kibbutz.” A short time after, Pinyan learned terrorists slaughtered his mother and father-in-law, and he would see the death and destruction all over the neighborhood. “We have 90 murders,” he said, and within in the kibbutz, “289 houses are either burned or severely damaged.” All of this weighed on former Congresswoman Bachmann because she had lived here in 1974. “I came here the day after I graduated from high school,” she recalled. “Never been to Israel. It was my first time to come to Israel. And I lived and worked here at Kibbutz Be’eri.” Bachmann told CBN News, “I remember it was a happy home where twelve hundred people lived. And people wouldn’t believe this (scene today). There’s whole roofs missing, and RPGs were fired through the sides of houses No one could ever live in these homes again. They’re completely totaled And so they’ll all have to come down, all have to be destroyed.” On this tour of Be’eri, she also learned that people she knew were among those raped and murdered. “Horrible. I just was devastated,” she said. She continued, “And it’s incredible to think that human beings would come and do this kind of damage just to get to Jews. The hatred for Jews is so vitriolic, they would even burn a house down so they could watch a Jew jump out of a window so that they could shoot them. And the horror is that about 80 percent of the people who were killed here were tortured. So, this is as devastating as it gets.” Pinyan told us, “My children used to play and visit here each day.” “These are people’s homes,” Bachmann said in disbelief. “This isn’t supposed to be a battlefield. This is where little children rode bikes and went to see their grandparents.” According to Pinyan, “All of this neighborhood was full of children that were playing football in the afternoon, because all the grandmothers and grandfathers used to live in this neighborhood. No one (is) left. Only three people.” Bachmann noted, “It’s the bodies, it’s the people. The life that’s gone. And that’s irreplaceable.” Pinyan remarked that the younger generation is suffering as well. “All of our kids have friends that were either killed or kidnapped,” he said. Bachmann believes there should be no mercy for murderers who did this while promising to continue destroying such communities until there are no more Jews here – and in all of Israel – until Israel becomes Palestine. “Well, this is Israel’s land,” Bachmann responded. “And Israel has every right to the land – biblically, morally, legally, from international law – 100 percent this is Israel’s land. It’s no question. There’s not even a doubt. And so this fantasy that different terror groups have that they’re going to kill Jews –because for them, it really isn’t about land, it’s about killing Jews.. And so, that’s what we need to recognize. So why should Israel be forced to live side-by-side by clever assassins? Because this happens everyday.” “So, the Jewish people can no longer be expected to wonder if tomorrow is another Holocaust,” she stated. “Because that’s what this is. You’re looking at the Holocaust in our day – in our day. And we said ‘never again.’ And it happened again. And so, the only answer is that Israel doesn’t have to be the people who suffer from these terrorist acts.” “Of any people group, they should not be the ones forced to live next to the people (now living in) Gaza,” Bachmann insisted. “There are 56 other Arab nations out there who could take in the Gazans. Not one will take them. Why should Israel – the focus of their hatred –be forced to live side-by-side? It needs to end.” What Does 2024 Hold for Globalist Gatherings? – Derrick Broze - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=6571 The United Nations COP28 meeting of world leaders concluded last week in Dubai with an agreement which is being heralded as the "beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era." The agreement was reached by nearly 200 nations who signaled support for ending dependence on fossil fuel products, as well as committing to a "just and equitable transition" which will see "deep emissions cuts." The agreement also calls on governments to accelerate this transition by tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030, speeding up efforts to end coal use, and accelerating technologies like carbon capture and storage. The 2030 date is relevant because in 2015, the United Nations General Assembly agreed on the 2030 Agenda, or Agenda 2030, which also includes the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The UN SDGs are promoted as a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all," ostensibly aimed at fighting climate change. The COP28 meeting, also known as the Conference of the Parties, was the 28th edition of the UN Climate Change conference, held in Expo City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12th. The COP conference has been held annually since the first UN climate agreement in 1992 in Rio, Brazil. Reuters reported that the agreement reached at the end of the two-week meeting was "meant to send a powerful message to investors and policy-makers that the world is united in its desire to break with fossil fuels." Although over 100 countries called for adding language in the COP28 agreement to "phase out" oil, gas and coal use, there was push back from the Saudi Arabia-led oil producer group Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, also known as OPEC. Members of OPEC control almost 80% of the world's known oil reserves and account for around a third of the world's oil output. COP28 President Sultan al-Jaber called the deal "historic" and said nations must "take the steps necessary to turn this agreement into tangible actions." Al-Jaber received negative press attention at the beginning of COP28 when he criticized climate science as part of a panel discussion. "There is no science out there, or no scenario out there, that says the phaseout of fossil fuel is what's going to achieve 1.5," Al Jaber said during the panel. UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell echoed Al-Jaber's call for action in his closing speech. "Whilst we didn't turn the page on the fossil fuel era in Dubai, this outcome is the beginning of the end," Stiell stated. "Now all governments and businesses need to turn these pledges into real-economy outcomes, without delay." Global Stocktake COP28 also involved something known as the "global stocktake," which has been promoted as an opportunity for the nations of the world to "take stock" of how much progress they have made in meeting the goals of the Paris Climate Change Agreement and accomplishing the Agenda 2030. The UN describes the global stocktake as "like taking inventory" by "identifying the gaps" and charting a course "forward to accelerate climate action." The first ever stocktake took place at the conclusion of COP28 and is set to take place every five years. Nearly 200 nations participated in the global stocktake and recommitted to increasing "climate action" before the end of the 2020s in an effort to keep the global temperature from increasing more than 1.5°C. The UN says the stocktake will "inform the next round of climate action plans under the Paris Agreement," including helping policymakers "strengthen their climate policies and commitments." The global stocktake and the calls for nations to recommit to achieving the Agenda 2030 is reminiscent of statements made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in May. Guterres revealed the SDG Progress Report showed a significant lack of progress in advancing Agenda 2030. Guterres noted that the world is halfway to the 2030 deadline but only 12 percent of the SDGs are on track to be completed. He called on the world to strengthen their commitments and commit to the goals of the climate movement by 2030. While it may be tempting to see Guterres' statements as an admission of defeat or despair by a member of the globalist class, it's important to understand we are in the midst of a propaganda war. Guterres and his UN allies need the average person to believe we are "falling behind" on the Agenda 2030 and the only way to save the planet is for even more extreme measures to be agreed upon by the nations of the world. Only once the people have been convinced that humanity's situation is so dire, will the masses accept the economically painful and liberty-destroying policies promoted by the United Nations and World Economic Forum. Globalist Gatherings in 2024 As we look forward to what's to come in 2024, it's important to examine the globalist roadmap for 2024. Especially, when we understand that dozens of nations around the world will host elections, and history has shown that these elections are the perfect opportunity to divide the people and create order out of chaos. First, let's take a brief look back to June 2023 and the "Summit for a New Global Financing Pact". The Summit took place in Paris, France as President Emmanuel Macron welcomed 50 heads of state, representatives of NGOs and civil society organizations to discuss the effort to reset the international financial system as part of the continued push towards the 2030 Agenda and Net Zero goals. The French government stated that the objective of the gathering was to "build a new contract between [the global] North and South" which will better equip the nations to fight poverty and climate change. The summit was attended by US President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. In addition to heads of state, the summit was organized with support from the Open Society Foundations, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation, among others. One of the other stated goals of this summit was to transform the entire international financial system by adapting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank to modern challenges. These goals mirror recent statements made by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres when he called for a "new Bretton Woods moment," referencing the infamous 1944 international agreement which established rules for governing monetary relations among independent states, including requiring each nation to guarantee convertibility of their currencies into U.S. dollars. The Bretton Woods Agreement established the IMF. The roadmap of the Financing Pact makes it clear that the meeting's main purpose was to create a guide which was used at G20 summit in India and the Africa Climate Summit in September 2023, as well as the SDG Summit, and COP28 in Dubai. The Roadmap also notes that April 2024 meetings of the IMF and World Bank, and the G20 in in Brazil in July 2024 will be important pieces of the globalist puzzle. Here are 3 more important globalist gatherings which need your attention: WEF 2024: Rebuilding Trust The World Economic Forum has announced the theme of their 54th annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland: Rebuilding Trust. It's no surprise that the WEF continues their focus on building trust after they have become enemy number one of millions of people around the world since 2020. The WEF says the meeting will "restore collective agency" and reinforce the "principles of transparency, consistency and accountability" among world leaders. While no official list of participants has been released, the WEF promises that their 54th meeting will welcome "over 100 governments, all major international organizations, 1000 Forum's Partners, as well as civil society leaders, experts, youth representatives, social entrepreneurs, and news outlets." In the last 2 years, the WEF has promoted the idea of a "polycrisis," claiming that the world is now contending with multiple crises, including alleged pandemics, climate crises, multiple wars, and economic downturns. For 2024, the WEF is warning that "even as we turn our attention to new crises, the old ones persist." Always an organization to create new terms or seemingly predict the next trauma inflicted upon the world, the WEF continues by asking if 2024 will "be a period of 'permacrisis'?" In the meantime, readers who are interested in an alternative path to the WEF's vision should familiarize themselves with The Greater Reset Activation, a counter to the WEF's annual Davos meeting. The Summit of the Future When UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued his warning about the world falling short of the Agenda 2030, he also called for "greater multilateral support for the UN development system and decisive action at the 2024 Summit of the Future". "I urge you to study the report and implement its proposals," Guterres stated. "This will be a moment of truth, and of reckoning. It must also be a moment of hope - when we unite to turn the tide and kickstart a new drive for SDG achievement." According to the Summit for the Future website, the summit is a "once-in-a-generation opportunity" to address gaps in global governance. The Summit will take place in September 2024 and will continue the push for nations to "reaffirm existing commitments" to the SDGs and the UN Charter. Member states will be expected to build on the outcomes of the SDG Summit and "breathe new life into the multilateral system" and accomplish the Agenda 2030. The website also states that the Summit of the Future will conclude with a "Pact for the Future" which will be endorsed by Heads of State/Government at the Summit. The UN says the outcome of the Pact will be "a world - and an international system - that is better prepared to manage the challenges we face now." For those reading between the lines and past the buzzwords, this rings of globalist language intended to override or outlaw national and individual sovereignty in favor of world government. I encourage all readers to pay attention to the Summit of the Future in September 2024. I believe we will see major steps towards the creation of a one world government between now and then, and the Pact for the Future is likely to be another piece of the shift towards a world governed by unelected internationalist politicians. WHO Pandemic Agreement In May 2023, TLAV reported on the conclusion of World Health Organization's 76th assembly and the debate surrounding the so-called Pandemic Treaty. Supporters of the treaty claim it will prevent future pandemics and critics warn it will end national sovereignty. During the final week of the WHO's 76th Assembly, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra warned that "our window before this next pandemic, this next health threat, is probably not far away." The statement was a reminder that world leaders and health bureaucrats who failed the people of the world during the COVID-19 panic continue to push unscientific theories and failed policies. The WHO's 194 member nations are slated to meet again in May 2024 to adopt some version of the WHO's pandemic treaty. Meanwhile, the public details of the proposed treaty already indicate that it will, indeed, pose a threat to national sovereignty and decision making. Additionally, as James Corbett reported last month, the WHO treaty is no longer known as a treaty anymore. The treaty has now officially been rebranded the "WHO Pandemic Agreement." The latest draft of that agreement was released in November. Hidden within the Pandemic Agreement is language which make it clear the agreement is about organizing UN governing bodies who can draft up rules which member governments, or Conference of the Parties, will be required to follow in the event of a declared pandemic or a declared climate emergency, etc. For example, Corbett notes that Article 21 of the proposed agreement includes the following clause: A Conference of the Parties is hereby established. The Conference of the Parties shall be comprised of delegates representing the Parties to the WHO Pandemic Agreement. Only delegates representing Parties will participate in any of the decision-making of the Conference of the Parties. The Conference of the Parties shall establish the criteria for the participation of observers at its proceedings. The Planetary Emergency It is imperative that the free hearts and minds of the world keep their eyes and ears on these upcoming gatherings of Technocrats who want to rule our lives. As Swedish researcher Jacob Nordangård told me in a recent interview, the UN is working on declaring a "planetary emergency" which will allow them to activate these various agreements -- the WHO Pandemic Agreement, the Financing Pact of the Future, and the Pact of the Future -- and complete their plans for world government. In fact, in just the last two weeks we have seen the release of opinion pieces calling for "a formal declaration of a 'planetary emergency' by the UN General Assembly at the Summit of the Future in September and the activation of an 'emergency platform.'" We can trace the call for a Planetary Emergency back to the infamous but obscure group, the Club of Rome. The Club of Rome have been calling for declaring a Planetary Emergency since at least 2019. Well-informed readers will remember that the Club of Rome had a particularly large influence on the World Economic Forum. In fact, the connections between WEF founder Klaus Schwab, the now-deceased Henry Kissinger, and the Club of Rome are many. The only way to prevent these Technocrats from taking over the planet is to educate as many people as possible about the true nature of the UN and WEF agendas. Al Gore’s 2007 claim that by 2014 both the Antarctic and Greenland ice sheets would be gone is typical of just how poorly their projections of doom have fared. Both places have recorded record low temperatures in the past five years. Why such an abysmal record? It’s because the climate emergency is a hoax as are the models upon which it’s based. I shared a sampling of the evidence backing up this claim in a recent article: COP28: The Ruse behind the Elite’s Insatiable Quest for Power. Why then do the climate alarmists continue to make predictions based on models that have led to bogus prognostications? What factors lie behind the globalists’ passion to prescribe draconian solutions for an emergency that does not exist? The Quest To Be Lords Of The Earth The globalists seek to bring about a one-world government over which they will rule. In order to assume the role as lords of the earth, they need an impending crisis that will unite the nations. They regard the climate emergency as the vehicle that will enable them to fulfill their quest. The year 2030 is magical to those who would imagine themselves as our chieftains; it’s the year that they plan to have everything in place for their future reign. COP28’s agenda aligned precisely with the UN’s Agenda 2030 with its seventeen sustainable development goals. It’s all about controlling the lives of serfs, those that survive the brutal changes ahead, all for the cause of saving the planet. Jeffrey Ludwig, in an American Thinker article, provides this overview of Agenda 2030 in regard to its unmistakable Marxist theme: The most often quoted definition comes from the UN World Commission on Environment and Development: “sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” The earlier ideas and ideals of rights, freedom, equality, and justice are subsumed under meeting of needs and an explicit environmentalism which emphasizes preventing the depletion of scarce planetary resources. Of course, the takeoff is the Marxist axiom that society should be organized around the idea of “from each according to his ability to each according to his needs.” Thus, Marxism is implicit in sustainability, but is nuanced by its alliance with seemingly scientific adjustments and goals related to environmentalism. Why do the elite believe that only a Marxist world order can solve the “climate emergency?” It’s because both the problem and solution are not only a ruse, but the demonic path by which the elite hope to become lords of the earth. Satan Our archenemy Lucifer lies behind the motives of these elite powerbrokers. Population reduction, an essential aspect of their agenda, has long been the objective of the globalists and it’s now more evident than ever before in history. The devil is a master deceiver and a murder (John 8:44; 10:10); those advocating the killing off of the “useless eaters” are his pawns. The elite’s intent to shrink the earth’s population to a more manageable number appeared on the Georgia Guidestones in 1980. One of the ten inscriptions on this granite monument set the sustainable level of the human population at five hundred million. That’s just a fraction of the earth’s current population of over 8 billion. Though the Guidestones now lie in ruins, the murderous goal remains set in stone for those who would enslave humanity to their every whim. The Biden administration spokesperson, John Kerry, has stated on several occasions that his plans include the elimination of farming as we know it. In Europe, they plan to kill 100,000 head of cattle for the cause of saving the planet. How do sane people even remotely think that cattle are bad for the planet? How will people survive apart from growing the food and raising animals on the farms? It’s all about reducing the earth’s population to a manageable level. After one hundred years of failed projections of doom, do those sounding the alarm over the climate truly believe we have just seven years left before the environment implodes? Is it possible that many of them believe their own lies as they knock on death’s door? Depraved Minds In Romans 1:19-32, the Apostle Paul give us remarkable insight into the thinking of those who would bankrupt the world, kill multitudes of people via the total elimination of “fossil fuels,” and subject the remaining population to Marxism. The downward path to such depraved thinking begins with the refusal to acknowledge God, His attributes, and His eternal power. This, according to Romans 1:28, leads to futility in thinking and after that, to the Lord giving them up to a “debased mind to do what ought not to be done.” The word in the Greek, adokimos, applies to something, such as a metal, that doesn’t endure when tested thus proving to be unfit, or “reprobate” as the King James Version translates it. The following verses describe the debased mindset of those with minds that “fail the test.” They become incapable of making morally sound decisions and in many instances, even rationally sound ones: Romans 1:29-32 KJV – “Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” These verses aptly describe those leading the charge to subjugate the world under the obscene demands of the climate alarmists. Apart from oil, natural gas, and coal, most people on planet earth could not survive. Either these purveyors of doom cannot think clearly enough to perceive this deadly outcome, or they do not care. Please understand that the phrase “fossil fuels” itself is totally bogus. John Rockefeller coined this term so he could sell his oil and gas at a higher price. The natural gas reserves off the coast of Israel alone are estimated to be a trillion-cubit feet in just this one location! The amount of oil consumed in one day alone throughout the world require an astronomically high number of prehistoric animals to generate. These sources of energy most certainly are most certainly NOT “fossil fuels.” The Lord provided the rich deposits of coal, oil, and natural gas to sustain the earth’s current large population. Without these fuels, billions would eventually perish. Used properly, they do not harm the environment, nor will they raise temperatures to unsafe levels. Economic Suicide The attendees at the COP28 summit in Dubai agreed to work toward the elimination of “fossil fuels,” but did not put a date in place to do so. This objective, of course, is impossible because the windmills themselves need sixty gallons of oil, changed regularly, in order to function. It’s also unfeasible to put the windmills in place apart from the use of copious amounts of diesel fuel to power the many trucks needed to deliver the massive amounts of needed concrete and parts to assemble just one of the windmills. Alex Newman, a fellow believer, author, and award-winning journalist who attended the conference in the United Arab Emirates, wrote the following: “At the conclusion of COP28, there was a sense of euphoria among the climate faithful that they achieved something monumental, specifically securing a document called the ‘UAE Consensus’ to ’transition’ away from fossil fuels,” said Craig Rucker, who attended the summit as head of the conservative-leaning environmental group Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT). “But let’s face it, China has been constructing new coal plants at a rate of two per week and India is expected to increase its coal fleet 25 percent by 2030,” Mr. Rucker told The Epoch Times. “Only Western nations steeped in global warming alarmism will undertake the foolish measures the Greens demand to gut their energy infrastructure.” As populous nations ramp up their dependence on oil, natural gas, and especially coal, western nations such as the United States will continue down a path to certain economic suicide with its green agenda. Mr. Newman also wrote about this in the above referenced article: Stephen Moore, chief economist at FreedomWorks, said the administration’s pledges would shut down 60 percent of U.S. electrical power generation. “Biden is playing a dangerous game of unilateral energy disarmament,” said Mr. Moore. “Whether intentional or not, this radical green agenda will cripple our global economic leadership, cost our economy millions of jobs, and make Americans colder in their homes in the winter and hotter in the summer.” I believe the outcome of such a foolish agenda will be far worse. The left in America are pursuing two conflicting goals. On the one hand, several states now require that all cars sold be electric in the next five to seven years. On the other hand, President Biden seeks to drastically reduce the supply of energy needed to empower these cars. It’s a trainwreck waiting to happen; it’s economic suicide by any other name. Will the self-destructing ruse of saving the environment bring the nations of the world together under a central government? It’s doubtful given the lack of public support for it, but there’s an event looming in the near future that might just accomplish the globalists’ quest for power, at least in the short-term. The Rapture Of The Church Will Change Everything The Rapture of the Church will at first seem like a dream come true for people with the mindset of Romans 1:28-32, but it will later prove to be the worst nightmare imaginable for them. The elite will have the bona fide global crisis they crave, but their failure to recognize God’s authority or believe Scripture will prove fatal for them as it will for all who worship the beast that’s coming. Someday, hopefully soon, Jesus will take us to glory and initiate the dreadful time judgment known in the Old Testament as the Day of the Lord. Once the devil confirms a covenant with the many, including Israel, the seven-year period we know as the Tribulation will start. During this time, the Lord will pour out His wrath on mankind and by its end, utterly destroy Satan’s kingdom. Not only will the Rapture change everything for those on the earth, but also for us as New Testament saints. Our “citizenship is in heaven” and because of that we “await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body by the power that enables him to subject all things to himself” (Philippians 3:20-21). As God’s wrath descends upon the unbelieving world, we will rest in paradise with our Savior. At the moment Jesus appears to take us to His Father’s house, He will give us immortal bodies that will never perish, get sick, or become weak with the passage of time (John 14:2-3; 1 Corinthians 15:47-55). There are many interpretations that various people put on prophecy, but only one is true. That’s the one that God has. Today, we can look back and see that many Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled, and we learn from that fact that the rest will be fulfilled just as God said. The problem comes when we see a prophecy being fulfilled but turn a blind eye because it isn’t happening like we expected it to happen. This isn’t a new problem. During the time when Jesus was born, people had been looking for their Messiah. Many, many prophecies had been given to describe where and how He would be born, but the way the religious leaders interpreted prophecy was far from reality. They were looking for a man of war to come and rescue the Jewish people from the oppression of Rome. These Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees were blind to the truth because they couldn’t believe God’s truth. God’s plan was to make eternal salvation available to the entire world, including Gentiles. It wasn’t only the religious leaders looking for the Messiah; regular people were also sure the time was right. For some, it might have been a passing thought, while others spent their life seeking Him. Let’s take a look at some of these people. The first that we need to consider is Joseph and Mary. At that time, they were the closest to the fact that the Messiah was to be born. The prophet Isaiah had given a prophecy that God would give a sign. “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). The word “virgin” is from the Hebrew word “alma” and can mean a young woman, a virgin. In context, it means a virgin, a young woman who has never had sexual relations with a man. Mary was a young woman living in Nazareth and was espoused to a man named Joseph. She was visited by Gabriel, who was sent by God to tell Mary that she had been chosen to give birth to the Son of God. Mary was a virgin and asked how it would be accomplished. The same Holy Spirit that inspired Isaiah to write this prophecy also inspired Luke to tell us how it happened. The Holy Spirit would come upon her, so she became pregnant without losing her virginity. Of course, Joseph was very troubled when he found out his bride-to-be was going to have a baby. So, Gabriel paid Joseph a visit and told him the truth of what happened and that it would be just fine for him to continue plans for marriage. “But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:20-21). So, Joseph understood that Mary hadn’t been with another man and that she was a virgin. For all who doubt Isaiah’s prophecy, Matthew wrote, “Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:22-23). Joseph and Mary were the first to fully understand the prophecy of the virgin birth. God meant what He said, even though it is hard for human understanding. They traveled together to Bethlehem in order to obey the Roman mandate that all would be taxed. “And all went to be taxed, every one unto his own city” (Luke 2:3). Since Joseph was the decedent of King David, he and Mary traveled to Bethlehem. This was the way God made sure the prophecy in Micah was fulfilled, which foretold where the Messiah would be born. “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel” (Micah 5:2-3). While Joseph and Mary were in Bethlehem, Mary’s time to give birth was accomplished. There had been no room for them in the Inn, so she didn’t have any comforts. But when the King of kings entered His creation, Mary laid Him, the Lamb of God, in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes. The most important event of history happened in a humble manger. It must have been a peaceful scene. Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus in the stable while shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks by night. The peace was shattered! “And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid” (Luke 2:9). I certainly would have been afraid. This was a sight they had never seen before. The angel’s message was amazing. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people, for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12). If that wasn’t enough, a multitude of angels appeared saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14). What a blessed message! Those shepherds must have been very confused. When the angels were gone, they decided to head to Bethlehem and see what the angels were talking about. “And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds” (Luke 2:16-18). The shepherds found Jesus. They heard what the angels said, then went to find Him, and then they told others about it. Isn’t that what we should all do? When we find Jesus, we need to tell others. Because they were Jewish, they had to keep the Law. Mary had given birth to a male child, and the Law was very specific about what was to take place at the birth of a son and for the purification of the mother. “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean. And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised” (Leviticus 12:2-3). This was done for Jesus according to the Law. “And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb” (Luke 2:21). Mary would have been unclean for seven days and was to offer a sacrifice at the end of that time. “…she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation unto the priest” (Leviticus 12:6b). It was time to make the offering to fulfill the Law. We can be sure the magi hadn’t been there yet because Joseph and Mary couldn’t afford to purchase a lamb for sacrifice. “And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons” (Luke 2:22-24). Of course, they had the Lamb of God with them! There was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon who was a very just and devout man. He had been waiting for the Messiah. “And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ” (Luke 2:26). The Holy Spirit had sent him to the temple at the same time that Joseph and Mary brought Jesus. “Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel” (Luke 2:28-32). Simeon was a smart man, and he found Jesus and praised God. As Simeon was talking with Joseph and Mary, an elderly lady named Anna came along and recognized that Jesus was the one she had been waiting for. “And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for the redemption of Jerusalem” (Luke 2:38). There were people at that time who knew prophecy and were looking for Jesus. Simeon and Anna were just two of them. It’s interesting to me that the religious leaders didn’t recognize Him and weren’t looking for His appearing. It’s really no different today. How many pastors eagerly teach about prophecy? How many are eagerly looking at all the prophecy that is being fulfilled today but are so busy being religious and politically correct that they miss the signs of the times? Wickedness is everywhere, but Christ is ignored. There is a war raging in Israel, and the world in general is against Israel. Shame on pastors and any Christians who are not in support of Israel. It was silent pulpits that allowed Hitler to inflict his evil plan into the world. The Temple is ready to be rebuilt, and the red heifers are ready to be sacrificed. This is exciting. This temple is important because it needs to be in place in order for the Anti-Christ to set up his evil reign of terror there. The Great Tribulation is coming, and before that, the Rapture will take Christians Home to be with Jesus. Are you looking for Him? Have you found Him? There was another group that went out of their way to find Jesus. “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him” (Matthew 2:1-2). Their arrival upset Herod, who called on the chief priests and scribes to tell him where Christ was to be born. These priests and scribes should have been looking for Christ rather than rubbing elbows with the government. Herod was looking for Jesus to kill Him. That’s very similar to today. Rather than being Biblically correct, most Christians are politically correct and missing Christ. The Scribes and priests found the prophecy in Micah stating He would be born in Bethlehem; Herod told the wise men to go find the child, then return and tell him where he could find the child. Herod didn’t want to worship; he wanted to murder. Governments today are doing all they can to glorify sin while trying to get rid of Christ. The wise men followed the star, which led them to find Jesus. “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh” (Matthew 2:11). Herod had ordered them to let him know where to find Jesus, but when secular mandates are in opposition to God’s mandate, always obey God. “And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way” (Matthew 2:12). The wise men obeyed God. Anyone who is wise will always obey God. Herod didn’t want to worship Jesus; he wanted to kill Him. Herod didn’t find Jesus. His heart was hard, and he died in his sins. Today, we can still find Jesus. We might have a miraculous encounter like the shepherds, or we might find Him because we worship God in spirit and in truth, like Simeon and Anna. Jesus can be found by anybody who seeks Him; whether they are Jewish or Gentile, He can be found. If you have found Jesus, tell all who will listen and spread the Good News that Christ is born and will soon be calling His church Home. He can be found today by those who aren’t too blind to see. My immediate impression was that big pharma was trying to get people to show their loved ones that they really cared for them by getting a COVID vax for Christmas. It was a shock to my system. It passed by so quickly on the TV screen that there wasn’t time for it to register. Since then, I’ve been trying to find it on the internet because I thought I saw a disclaimer about how taking the vax could lead to certain heart conditions like myocarditis and pericarditis…be sure to ask your doctor to see if it is right for you. After an extensive search on the internet, the holiday spot for Pfizer was found. I had really thought the ad I saw was from Moderna, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. The Pfizer holiday ad is 30 seconds and it’s called, “Holidays: Moments Like These.” It consists of powerful images of smiling faces, family hugs, an elderly woman joyfully dancing, football games, pumpkin pie, family gatherings, various Christmas trees and decorations, babies smiling, and folks using sparklers. All very upbeat with voices celebrating to an inspiring drumbeat in the background. It’s tagged with “Moments like these matter. Talk to your doctor and schedule the respiratory vaccines you may need from Pfizer.” Then it highlights COVID-19, RSV, and Pneumococcal Pneumonia. While everyone in the family asks what I want for Christmas, it never dawned on me that I should want to ensure more “Moments like These” and rush out to get a COVID vaccine. Just what moments are Pfizer and other COVID vax peddlers wanting us to savor? Sudden death? Heart disease? Blood clots? Autoimmune deficiencies? Respiratory illness? There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of studies by reputable and peer-reviewed researchers that warn of the very dangerous side effects from receiving the mRNA COVID vaccines. Yet, while the Centers for Disease Control list these risks on its website one by one, it continues to say it will monitor and evaluate adverse reports. CDC concludes, “The benefits of COVID-19 vaccination continue to outweigh any potential risks.” But we all know that the CDC, the FDA and the federal government have been lying about these vaccines all along. They twist their words and develop carefully-stated propaganda to get you to put this poison in your body. They use fear as a weapon. Now they are using holiday cheer to make you think that you should rush out and get COVID vaxxed as part of the holiday spirit. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Pfizer, Moderna, Fauci, the CDC, the FDA—it’s a long list of Christmas deceivers. In time, new things become old things. And Christmas can become an old story for us. But let’s not miss the entire point of Christmas. The story doesn’t really start in Bethlehem; it starts long before, in another time and place. The time was eternity, and the place was Heaven. Before there was a planet called Earth, before there were Adam and Eve who ate forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden and brought the curse of sin upon humanity, a decision was made in Heaven. The decision was that God would have to become a man and die on our behalf. John 1:14 says, “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son” (NLT). And Revelation 13:8 describes Him as “the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made” (NLT). God had His own timetable. Galatians 4:4–5 tells us, “But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children” (NLT). That is what we celebrate at Christmas: that God sent His Son to this earth. Jesus was God in human form, Immanuel. It’s a magnificent story. From a literary standpoint alone, these words touch us deeply. But this is more than just great literature. This is the truth about how God came to Earth. Specifically, Jesus came to a little village called Bethlehem. The Scriptures foretold His birth, saying, “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past, will come from you on my behalf” (Micah 5:2 NLT). Because Joseph and Mary were of the lineage of King David, they went back to David’s boyhood home. God moved human events to accomplish His purposes. He moved Caesar Augustus to declare a census, which brought Joseph and Mary from their hometown of Nazareth to the village of Bethlehem. Things also were in place around the globe. At this point historically, all the nations of the world had been united under one system of imperial government. Rome had bludgeoned the world into submission, vanquishing its enemies. With the absence of conflict, people concentrated on literature, philosophy, art, and religion. They were probing and searching. It was as though something was in the air—and it was. The time was just right. God was sending His Son. Jesus came to bring us the meaning and purpose of life. In fact, He said, “My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” (John 10:10 NLT). Medical science seeks to add years to our lives, but only Jesus Christ can add life to our years.
